Hi! I'm a longtime kaylor lurker, but I saw you and your anons were trying to think through the reason for this Travis Kelce push and I thought I'd share some perspective as an American who's not exactly a football fan per se, but is from an area of the country where football is very popular so I'm kind of an ambient fan by default. I'm very sorry this got a little long, but I do think there are some really interesting dynamics at play here, but the tldr; is - broad appeal for the American premiere and politics.

There are some optics about Travis Kelce that are I think getting lost in the NFL-to-Swiftie translation that may be important. He's a famous football player, yes, but NFL fans skew heavily towards older men in non-urban areas, which also means NFL fans skew conservative. Travis Kelce promoted Bud Light when transphobes in America were boycotting the brand, and is also partnering with Pfizer for a public health campaign to promote the COVID-19 vaccine, which is very controversial for American conservatives. He's also known as a very stylish man (which is weird to say but is pretty uncommon among American athletes, especially white ones, and he's well-known for it) and before Taylor, all of his known/rumored exes have been Black or mixed (I could write an essay on the racial dynamics alone of this weekend, but... suffice it to say it's there and messy). I'd also heard rumors that he was closeted before he got together with Taylor, but I never really looked into them that deeply so I don't know how true they are, or whether they arose just because he dresses well and doesn't usually date white women (sad but true that for a portion of Americans, that would be enough to make them doubt his masculinity and therefore heterosexuality). Which kind of gets to my point - before this, a lot of the more conservative wing of NFL fans saw Travis Kelce as controversial, "beta", not sufficiently manly, despite the fact he is a champion football player. I know all of this sounds a little insane, please remember that these are the people electing Donald Trump and going after drag shows and banning books with LGBTQ+ people in them.

So, with that slightly more nuanced image of Travis Kelce, I think that makes the clearest takeaway from this weekend, at least for me, how extremely traditional all-American it was. Football player, blonde girl cheering in the stands with his mom, driving off in his convertible after the game, them making a point to correct the initial reporting that she had paid for people's meals so that he's the one renting out the restaurant for her. To be clear, this isn't really how Travis Kelce is normally seen, and already I've seen some hit tweets with people dunking on conservatives criticizing Kelce for being insufficiently manly by responding something along the lines of "uh, he won the Super Bowl and bagged the world's most famous pop star, I think he's doing okay" - so, reading between the lines, he's performed (specifically) white masculinity very successfully. And for Taylor, too, I think we've already seen a lot of people saying how she's finally with a "real man" - he's very tall, he's very athletic, he's American, I think a lot of the joking anti-Joe "he's got a real job" comments fall into this bucket as well. She is performing white American womanhood in a very specific way, a large part of which is that she's being framed as not the 'dominant' partner in the relationship in the way she was in her relationship with Joe (by virtue of their differences in wealth and success).

So I think this is re-orienting both of their images into a new, very traditional, Americana-inspired direction. I don't think this is a market Taylor has really gone after maybe since she moved into pop in the first place, but especially not in recent years, when she swung very hard into a much more urban liberal niche (basing herself more out of NYC and London than Nashville, associating herself musically and socially with people like the Haim sisters, Phoebe Bridgers, MUNA).

I don't think we can know exactly why she's leaning this direction yet, but if I had to guess it's more about the American documentary premiere. In Hollywood, typically for the biggest box office impact you want a "four-quadrant movie" - one that appeals to the four biggest demographic quadrants (male/female and under 25/over 25). Taylor Swift's fanbase skews female and young, with a solid presence over 25 as well, and like I said earlier, the NFL's fanbase skews male and over 25. I don't think showing up to a football game will make a bunch of NFL fans suddenly want to see her documentary on opening night, but it may make them more inclined to go see it with their girlfriends, wives, or daughters a few days later, instead of staying at home, and that would have a very big box office impact.

I also think she *might* be looking at the political optics, and wanting to not only move on from MH but also put herself in a kind of solidly centrist-liberal place (she likes good ol' American football but also the vaccine! she votes Dem but she's not one of those New York liberal elites, she eats chicken tenders with seemingly ranch! - truly seems like this is a couple tailor-made (or maybe Taylor-made ;) ) to appeal to swing voters), which I think is very much where she tried to position herself with Miss Americana as well and which seems relevant given her voter registration push recently and as we move into an election year. I'll be very interested to see if she does anything further politically, or says anything about politics in her documentary again. Between her voter registration effort and his Pfizer partnership and the timing of both, politics is actually the angle I'd bet on driving this.

WOAH I recently discovered something very weird. Bill Gates invested a whopping $55 MILLION in BioNTech that made the Pfizer mRNA injection. You will never believe the date that this happened... Is this just a coincidence? You know, the company that partnered with Pfizer to make their mRNA covid vaccine and drove Pfizer's revenue to a record $100 billion in 2022. Well, I had a look and found something very interesting indeed. When did Bill Gates invest this large sum of money? Turns out that it was on the 4th of September 2019. Covid was discovered just two months later in November 2019 (at least the first time we got to hear about it). This turned out to be very profitable for Bill Gates, his investment increasing by 10 times. The original $55 million was worth over $550 million just a few years later. "the collaboration will fund the identification of potential HIV and tuberculosis vaccine and immunotherapy candidates and their pre-clinical development. It will further enable BioNTech to build out its infectious disease infrastructure, including platform development" - it says in the press release from BioNTech. Guess what? Bill Gates has also donated some $20 million to the BBC. Now it is being reported that the BBC misrepresented the risk of covid in order to boost public support for lockdown. other words, the mainstream media deliberately mislead the public and scared them into supporting draconian lockdown measures, and also probably scared people into rushing to get the brand new mRNA injections. Meanwhile Bill Gates investment grew and grew... "One example is that they gave the impression that hospitals were being overwhelmed during the first wave. Some (mainly in London) were, but overall hospital bed occupancy was at an all-time low during that period" said Professor Mark Woolhouse. Remember when we were told that the hospitals were completely full and we had all the dancing nurses on TikTok? Remember how some peopel were labelled "conspiracy theorists" for questioning this? Turns out that the so called "conspiracy theorists" were right once again. The hospitals were not full. We were being lied to. What do you think about all of this, surely it is just a coincidence that Bill Gates just happened to invest large amounts of money into BioNTech just two months before covid?

I never on my life got this nervous with a post before. This is me advocating for a group I'm not a part of and I tried to do my research the best I could. So let's go.

THE YANOMAMI HUMANITARIAN CRISIS (AND GENOCIDE)

When the pandemic hited Brazil and it was revealed that former president and Trump personal dick sucker Jair Messias Bolsonaro refused the vacine numerous times and ignored Pfizer tentatives of contact, not only that but he spred dangerous misinformation about the virus. Because of his lack of responsability during the covid-19 crisis brazilian left wing started calling him a genocide. But we had no idea how right we were.

Bolsonaro was always a huge supported of mineration. He even tried to legalize it on indegenous people - an effort he didn't suceed. One of brazilian biggest gold reserves is in protective areas more specifically in the divise between Brazil and Venezuela were the yanomami indigenous tribe lives. Well you can imagine where the story goes.

Bolsonaro defunded organs that protected native people and put on comand of the yanomami areas high ranking militar people who had no experience, instruction or prepare whatsoever for it. They made a concil to discuss the righs of land and protection of the Amazon rainflorest and none of the members where native people. They autorized the miners to act close to the area.

Not only that but they refused to send help, closed health centers and ignored letters from people working for FUNAI (the organization that protects and acts on indegenous land) about extreme violence from the miners and corruption inside the institucion (for instance their helicenter for specialized helicopters was being used by the miners who bought the people fiscalizing the landings). 30% of the medicine sent to the tribe never got to them.

With the miners destroying the land they depended to leave, bringing deceases and cominting acts of violence soon famine came to the tribes and the miners started to trade food for either gold or more frequently sexual favors mostly from minors. Some that couldn't sexually assault them by despair did it by force and a 12 year old girl was abused and killed, her body throwed in the river, the authorities took a long time to hear the natives denounces and try at least rescue the body. They also used food as payment to work either on their farms or by doing the mining. Besides that they would trade alcohool and drugs to the natives to turn them addicted and dependent on them.

Bolsonaro and some of his personal are being investigated for purposifully causing this tragedy as means to facilitate mining wich constitutes in proper ethinical genocide. It's only an investigation but if nothing more his inaction and omission already constitutes a human rights violation. I don't know if anyone will actually respond for it. I hope they do but I don't trust this capitalistic society to do anything against powerfull people no matter what they do.

Now I did lie in the begining of this post. I'm sorry. I said we had no idea about it and that's a lie. Me and other white people had the priviledge of not knowing or caring enough. Indigenous activists have been talking about it the whole time. In november when doing a presentation about how psychology could help in the fight for land reform and indegenous spaces my research took me to an interview with an indigenous leader where he said that Bolsonaro's discourse by itself made so the miners and landowners relatated to agriculture would invade protected areas and beat or even kill the natives who oppose and when they talked about their rights they would say "not for long" or "it doesn't matter president Bolsonaro is on our side". That was just based on his racist rethoric against native people. His actions were even more talked about. This was an evitable tragedy and we have to keep it in mind so we can always listen and look for the signs of prejudice and violence to at least try to end them before it's too late.

I'm doing this post not for a lession on white inaction but mostly because there isn't much I can do to help as a broke college student. So I'm trying to maybe hype some donations from you guys.

Y’all, go get the new Covid vaccine!

I’m sure others on here have talked about it already and ima just be late, but it’s important!

You can still get updated Covid vaccines/boosters for free if you’re uninsured through December 31, 2024 via the CDC’s Bridge Access Program and participating pharmacies.

Considering that the US government is in full “there is no war in Ba Sing Se” mode about Covid being “over” 🙄 not a lot of people even know a new vaccine exists! It was approved on September 12th and started distribution.

If you go through any CVS or Walgreens, I know for sure they’re a part of the Bridge Access Program and will specify online that you’re getting the (2023-2024) Covid vaccine formulated to target the new nasty variants. For most ppl, I’m gonna assume that the last time y’all got vaccinated was a whole year ago. 😬

Beloveds, it’s like we raw dogging Covid in 2020 again; those old shots ain’t doing shit for you now. You’ll need this new vaccine (it’s not a booster, it’s a whole new beast) to be best protected especially as we go into flu and holiday season.

Some things to note:

Always call the pharmacy to confirm your appointment and that they have the shot you’re looking for.

If you are uninsured, you may have to remind the pharmacy that it should be free for you. CVS was going to charge me $190 for one (1) shot so I called and had to explain to them what they’re enrolled in. Nobody working there even knew about it. This country is very ghetto so you’ll have to be diligent on getting what you need.

There are no multiple rounds this time, just one shot. Moderna and Pfizer are approved rn, Novavax I hear just passed some trials and should be available later as well if you prefer a non-mRNA dose.

This new one knocked me on my ass faster than the previous ones, but idk if that’s cause I actually got Covid back in April and my system is still sensitive. Either or, it’s working!

I will always push taking measures against Covid because our healthcare system is too busted and our government is pretty much leaving us to fend for ourselves during a deadly pandemic. So we gotta milk whatever we can to stay protected.

And as always, vaccination status or not:

Life Is Nothing But A Dream

The Big Bang was actually a Kemetic Explosion that created everything. At the instantaneous moment it occurred, it shot eternally into the past and eternally into the future, so that it always was, always is and always would be in that moment in time that created time itself while collapsing it.

Paradoxes, duality, yin and yang, opposites attract, magnetism, chemistry, polar opposites, twinflames, reality and untold countless trillions of individual dreamscapes were created in that moment.

We are all dreamers, the mind is limitless and imagination is limitless. They can make laws about what you wear, eat, smoke, drink, say, write -- but not about what you think, dream and imagine.

You dont have to tell a child that their imagination is limiltless, thats why they have real imaginary friends, but you have to convince an adult that they "have what it takes" to pass a job interview -- why do you think that is?

The Kemetic Explosion was a prismatic supernova that created all realities, multiverses, universes, galaxies and dimensions in one timeless and eternal moment.

There are two existing dual realities that fit the universal theme of duality -- hot and cold, fire and ice, sugar and spice, black and white, yin and yang, good and evil, love and apathy (not hate), sun and moon -- so on and so forth.

The two realities are the current simulated reality we are all living in now that I am currently typing this in, but it is only a simulation, a facsimilie, a virtual reality, a fax machine copy of our actual reality, which is the eternal dreamscape we all came from.

We are all eternal energetic beings, we are nature, this is why nature heals us -- why do you need a scientific study to confirm that?

We are magical, alchemical beings with the ability to naturally heal ourselves within ourselves with nature -- Pfizers got nothin on you.

We are trees, water, streams, rivers, grass, ganja, sun, moon, stars, skies, comets, milky ways, galaxies, oceans, waves, gardens, flowers, petals, dragonflies, fireflies, butterflies.

This is why it is so unnatural for us to exploit, pillage & rape Mother Earth, overextracting & depleting natural resources, destroying rainforests, deforestation, overfilling landfills with unused SHEIN clothes & unopened Amazon products, greenhouse gas emissions, unclean coal, oil, gas, nuclear energy, toxic chemicals, smoke, smog, industrial waste & pollution -- they get artificially richer with capitalism's monopoly money while they do nothing but harm the planet, the air, the water, the ozone layer, literally harming themselves in the process yet they still think they are "winning" as their total destruction of Earth via climate change is continuing unabated as they march on in their shiny spacesuits to colonize Mars with Elon Musk without even giving their destruction of Earth a second thought.

We have all existed eternally forever in the dreamscape.

The dreamscape is very similar to "What Dreams May Come" if you want a visual representation of what it's like.

Lush, visceral, lucid, explosive colors, 10 dimensional, multidimensional, all dimensions coexisting at once at the same time.

You can walk through walls, you can walk on water, you can fly, you can fall through the sky without dying.

What are our individual dreamscapes?

Simply our imagination.

It's our thoughts. It's whatever our mind can conjure up. Its limitless expansiveness.

We go there every single night when we dream, whether you remember it when you wake up or not, you visited your dreamscape and that is the real reality, then you woke up to "go to work" in this fake reality.

How did we get here?

When you sleep, you go to your eternal dreamscape, where your eternal energetic being originally originated from. All of us were created in the instant the Kemetic Explosion (aka "Big Bang") happened.

So, how did we get here, into this fake ass virtual reality simulated upside down?

When people talk about your soul, when your physical body perishes, and only your energy and essence remains, they are actually talking about you returning to your original state, which is the eternal energetic being you were when you were created during the Kemetic Explosion.

You existed in your own eternal individual dreamscape -- literally your imagination -- for untold milennia until your human parents fucked.

This created your physical human incarnation. Once this happened, you as an eternal energetic being were taken from your individual dreamscape and you physically incarnated as a human being inside of your mother's womb.

Once she gave birth to you, you had now transported from your individual limitless dreamscape to our virtual reality as a mortal physical being in a very limited 3D reality, an upside down that is the opposite of the dreamscape in every way.

The next question would be, why does this happen? What is the point of us coming to this virtual reality?

The entire point of life in this simulated reality virtual reality video game is just to open and activate your third eye, spiritually awaken, experience ascension, self-actualize and realize that you are actually a limitless eternal energetic being and that you are only temporarily manifesting in a physical human form.

This is also referred to as an ego death, killing your human ego, and realizing that you are actually a limitless eternal energetic being.

Once you realize this, physical death no longer scares or frightens you, it is simply you permanently returning to your eternal dreamscape, which is where you originated from anyway.

Why would you be afraid of death when it's simply a permanent return to your own mind, your own imagination, your own 10 dimensional dreamscape which is where you originated from and you currently temporarily visit each night when you sleep anyway?

The place you are in now, this current hellscape, full of injustice, racist cops, terroristic militaries, empire building, religious dogma, abuse, rape, sexual violence, pointless wars, genocide, racism, hatred, misogyny, transphobia, homophobia, conditioning, grooming, sex trafficking, molestation, child abuse, greed and environmental destruction, doesn't scare you yet you fear a physical death that simply returns you to your original limitless eternal energetic self and dreamscape?

Yo, who taught you to fear death and why?

Keytruda is a cancer drug that was $100k when it was first released that only allowed you to live for an extra 30 days.

Just how brainwashed are you?

Look at all of the endless medical interventions, look at the slashing and the burning, the chemical radiation, the buzz saws, the hormones, the endless surgeries, triple bypass, open heart, remove a lung, non-stop prescription medication, opiates, oxy, perc, tylenol with codeine --

For what? You're going to fucking die, anyway.

Have you figured that out yet?

They have you so afraid of death yet you're not afraid of the current hellscape you currently live in.

Objectively, we are in hell by now, by any observable metric.

We are surrounded by mindless destruction, endless exploitation, wars, expansion, greed, capitalism, corporatism, environmental destruction, overconsumption, materialism, consumerism, unnecessary and needless starvation, houselessness & poverty, no living wage, no universal health care, no universal education --

Apple is a trillion dollar company and you think we don't have enough resources for every American to be housed, fed, educated, paid a living wage and receive medical care?

We're the richest planet on Earth and you actually don't think we have the money to house, feed, educate, pay a living wage to and provide medical care for every American citizen?

Globally, the richest 1% control the majority of the money.

Even a child could figure out if we evenly spread the resources, nobody would have to starve, nobody would have to die from hunger, houselessness and poverty.

We see what the Bezoses and Musks and Apples are making.

We see the corruption in "poorer" countries where the leaders all tend to be rich.

Why is that, that the leaders in "underdeveloped" countries are never starving along with their subjects?

Because they hoard the money, the charity donations, the money from the US, these leaders hoard it for themselves and dont give it to their citizens so they become richer while their citizens become poorer and many die.

It doesnt have to be like this in America or anywhere else.

The global elites want it like this. They want their mansions, their private jets, their Epstein pizzagate islands where they can rape children.

You dont really think Bob Iger needs $78,000 a day to survive, do you?

They want it like this and they collectively want us to barely make a living, work for a minimum wage, work a "salaried" job with thousands of hours of UNpaid overtime, kill ourselves for scraps for a CEO that isnt working and is making 1000xs more, spend the majority of our lives at a corporate 9 to 5 -- more time then we spend at home, with family, friends, loved ones, living, reading, singing, dancing, expressing, being alive -- you will spend the majority of your life working to make a CEO you will never even talk to richer -- the majority of each day at work and the majority of your life since you wont get to retire until 65 then "you can do what you want" for 10 years then drop dead -- are you actually okay with this?

The point of this virtual reality videogame is for you to open your 3rd eye, realize you are much more than just the physical human you are currently manifested as, ascend, spiritually awaken, self-actualize and realize you are actually an eternal energetic limitless being -- made from the same energy that created the Kemetic Explosion Big Bang -- you are energy, you are source, you are universe.

Realize this place we currently and very temporarily reside in is nothing but a dream and a virtual simulated reality of the actual reality which is the dreamscape you visit every night when you experience REM sleep, its simply a shift in consciousness that allows you to travel to your dreamscape, then when you "wake up", you are back here in the virtual reality.

But when you actually wake up, meaning you open your third eye, you will realize your human ego is as false as this virtual reality is and as limited as your physical human body.

Wealth, status, prestige, brand name company, fancy job title, fancy car, fancy house, luxury vacations, fancy furniture, all to impress other people, keeping up with the joneses, keeping up appearances, climbing the corporate ladder, high net worth, liquid assets, being an executive --its all bullshit and ego driven, its all driven by a desire to impress, be important, be admired, be liked, be respected, be feared -- its all external, nothing internal -- its all surface and not substance, its all gloss, its all photoshop, its all airbrushed, its all comparison driven, its all a dick measuring contest, its all Im more successful than you, Im a bigger deal than you, I drive a better car than you, I have more money than you, Im number 1, I finally made it, its 500+ likes for a LinkedIn employment update, its working for big tech, working for FAANG, working for FAAMG, working for Disney, its all I got mine, its all Acknowledge me!, its all Im a big fucking deal, its all I am important and people know who the fuck I am, its all I run this meeting, I run the show, I am impressive, important, my accolades and achievements precede me, people respect me, I got into a prestigious company, I got into Goldman Sachs which has a 4% acceptance rate, I got into Amazon and passed their interview where they interrogated me with their endless Leadership Principles, I have the golden star, I am a capitalist success, I am a six figure earner, I am in the $100k+ club, Im an executive, Im a VP, I made it, I am the American Dream...which is nothing but a fucking nightmare.

How do you like those golden handcuffs?

What happens if you're one of the 2 to 3 million more layoffs LinkedIn is predicting is going to happen this fall?

Kill your ego so your ascended self can be reborn.

Induce your own ego death so your ascended self can live.

Once you do, you'll be fully awake and fully alive and physical death will no longer scare you because it leads to the true eternal life which is just you returning to your eternal dreamscape and returning to the eternal energetic being you always were after shedding your temporary physical human self and shell.

Thats the true Kendrick Lamar Metamorphosis.

Your physical human manifestation is the caterpillar shell you must shed by inducing your own ego death and killing your own ego to become a butterfly, which is your ascended spiritually awakened third eye activated self-actualized self and this metamorphosis from your ego-driven caterpillar self to the ascended third eye activated butterfly is a metaphor for the final transformation which is actually only the beginning of when you shed your caterpillar physical human manifestation, so the ego death foreshadows the physical death, and you transform into a butterfly limitless energetic being, and this current physical virtual limited caterpillar reality is a metaphor for the ascended butterfly limited eternal dreamscape, which is just your individual imagination.

Love is eternal and limitless. Energy is eternal and limitless. Imagination and the mind are eternal and limitless.

Who is in your eternal dreamscape?

Your soulmates (platonic, familial and romantic) and twinflame (if you have one -- this is two souls that were fused together into one yin yang soul and one eternal energetic being when the Kimetic Explosion happened and then, when they physically manifested as human beings, their one soul split into two physical human beings that are fated and destined to be together in the virtual reality as best friends, romantic lovers and a sexual couple then, when they physically die and return to their eternal dreamscape, their souls fuse back together into one eternal energetic being that is simultaneously one being while still being two beings at once as both energies reside in the one soul being -- Yin Yang Twinz.

Thats duality.

There is no judgemental asshole in the clouds sitting on a throne judging people for having sex -- do you actually believe those lies that were packaged to you to control you with fear?

You really think God has a long white beard and is sitting on a throne like Santa Claus at the mall?

The only hell that actually exists is your own mind, if you refuse to kill your own ego, if you refuse to cause and experience your own ego death, if you keep living an empty life fuelled by your ego desires, when your physical self dies, and you return to your dreamscape, it will be as empty and shallow as your life was.

You failed to beat the virtual reality game.

You failed to ascend and open your third eye.

You failed to reject capitalism, consumerism, overconsumption, materialism, greed, wealth, status, privilege, corporatism, profiteering, superficiality, environmental destruction, industrial waste, big pharmas lies, exploitation, excessive medical intervention.

You failed to accept death as the natural outcome to life versus unnaturally doing everything possible to avoid it extending your life beyond all reason.

You failed to reject prejudice, close mindedness, us vs them, stereotypes, political propaganda, religious dogma, dehumanization of vulnerable populations that need community, socialism & a universal basic income, housing and medical care -- basic needs that could be met today instead they die needlessly of hunger, starvation, houseleness and very treatable illnesses and medical conditions while you sit there willingly oblivious and obtuse with your upper middle class income, your McMansion, your Lex Coup Beema & Benz, your yearly summer vacations self turning a blind eye to all of the unnecessary suffering under capitliasm that you endlessly benefit from and refuse to call it out for the bullshit system it is that is responsible for the death of millions.

You bought into all of the carefully packaged lies and rejected introspection, because you didnt want to give up your VP spot, your executive title, your 401K, your stock options, your unrestricted stock, your luxury vacations, your sports cars, your investment portfolio, your big ass house, your clout, your impressive career, your status, your wealth, your prestige -- you bought into capitalism because it financially and materially rewarded and enriched you but you ended up mentally, emotionally and spiritually bankrupting yourself but you refuse to admit any of this because you dont want to fuck up and fumble the bag.

But all that fake stuff doesnt exist in the non-simulated non-virtual real reality of the dreamscape, so when you get there and its just you, since expanding and exploring your mind is the one thing you avoided the entire time you existed as your physical human self, you refused to look inwards, you refused to look inside, you refused to question yourself and the unjust capitalist system that props up all of your status wealth and success, you refused to get deep, to ask yourself who you are outside of the impressive job, fancy title, brand name company, fancy house, fancy car, careeer accolades and accomplishments, luxury vacations and cruises and beach house rentals, flexing for the gram, clout chasing, pillar of the fake ass church, deacon, deaconess, trustee, respected church elder, queen bee, queen bitch of every social circle, king of the hill, alpha male, alpha female, you liked all the clout, people kissing your ass, impressing people on LinkedIn, the likes on the gram, the attention, the semi-celebrity local celebrity, the social currency and cache, everybody knowing your name, the HBIC in all your cliques, the bfd in your family, board member, committee member, non-profit volunteer, recognized at church, in the community, tons of friends, tons of clout, mystique, aura, presence, bank account, return on investment, hybrid electric sports car, vanity plates, vanity life.

You never looked within. You spent your entire life chasing and fucking and sucking dick for clout.

And in the literal instant of your physical death, with all of the fake stuff in this virtual reality video game is instantaneously stripped away in a moment, you sit and blankly stare in silence and you realize without all the virtual reality simulated fake stuff, that there is no "there there", because you never took one moment out of your entire physical existence as a human to look inside, introspect and think.

That is what this current hellscape is a simulation of -- actual hell, the eternal torment of never actualizing the self.

Wake up. Life is but a dream.

Wake up so when you actually permanently go back to sleep then permanently wake up you're now permanently awake in your eternal dreamscape to dream and imagine limitlessly forever.

I had a talk with a guy about the covid jab. He tried to play it off real cool. Yes, he got the jab because his brother died of covid. If you decide not to get it that's fine because it's your choice to make. Nobody should coerce you into it.

But then he said he still thinks it's a good idea to require proof of vaccination at places where there's going to be a big crowd.

Why? It was proven that the jabs don't stop you from getting the virus or spreading it so you're not protecting others.

Well you're LESS likely to spread it to others.

When Pfizer published their data in the very beginning they clearly stated that they never even tested it to see if it stopped the spread. The talking heads just lied about it to cover for Pfizer.

Well there are other brands to choose from.

If they lied about Pfizer why should I believe that they aren't lying about the other manufacturers too? Clearly none of them stop the spread so why should I believe that the others reduce the spread?

Well it's still a good idea because you get less sick.

That's practically impossible to prove since how hard it hits you is partly random chance. It varies from one person to the next. At best you MIGHT be protecting yourself a bit better but that's not a good enough of a reason to require it especially with the risks of adverse side effects. If you want to do it voluntarily I won't tell you not to but all the reasons people were trying to justify the mandates were bullshit. But they keep clinging onto this stance because they don't want to admit they were fooled by corporate propaganda.

And yes, there’s a political angle here, thanks to the likes of right-wing personality Charlie Kirk—and thanks to Kelce’s own decisions. At age 33, he’s presumably contemplating what his life after the NFL will look like. Swift’s attendance at the game followed rumors that she and Kelce were dating, as well as him publicly reiterating an invitation to her to come to a game. All this focused attention on Kelce and his recent endorsement decisions, which are legitimately interesting. In the wake of the right-wing boycott of Bud Light for its promotion with trans influencer Dylan Mulvaney, Kelce appeared in an ad for Bud Light. Last week, he appeared in a Pfizer commercial for COVID-19 and flu vaccination. “With my schedule, saving time is key,” Kelce wrote on Instagram, alongside the video. “The CDC says you can get this season’s updated COVID-19 shot when you get your flu shot if you’re due for both. That’s why I got two shots in one stop! Ask your doctor or pharmacist if it would be right for you. You can also visit CDC’s vaccines.gov to learn more and schedule an appointment.”

This is not a guy looking to steer clear of controversy—he’s making money while telling us something about his values. He surely had other, equally lucrative endorsement offers. Kelce had taken some incoming fire over the Bud Light endorsement, including predictable labels like “woke.” But having Swift show up cheering for him renewed the attention on those decisions in predictably gross ways. [...] But here’s the thing: Swift and Kelce are huge stars—one a wee bit bigger than the other—in their respective fields, and they’ve made the decisions they’ve made, including Kelce’s endorsements and Swift pushing voter registration and making sure her “Eras” tour movie was made under an interim agreement with SAG-AFTRA, all with an understanding of the likely political fallout. The rage that we see at a big macho white guy daring to not stay in line with the right-wing culture wars is telling, as is the specific attack on his masculinity. But Kelce clearly decided that he was fine with that when he made his endorsement decisions. Basically, this is yet another thing Republicans are welcome to die mad about.

Right-wing perpetual fit-throwers are up in arms about Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce for a multitude of reasons: his alleged romance with Taylor Swift and sponsoring Bud Light and Pfizer.

When I had COVID it was pretty bad. But I'm lucky it wasn't worse. Because emergency rooms are literally at capacity and turning people away.

I don't understand what yall aren't getting to out in public without a mask, to willingly be with people that have COVID, to still utilize the open food and food sharing format at gatherings (I'm looking at you, Thanksgiving planners), to demand schools be in person.

But people are dying because emergency rooms don't have enough space to care for people coming in because COVID IS STILL BAD.

"Well. So-and-so got it and they literally had no symptoms. Only the sniffles." Yeah. My dad got it and had no symptoms. But I got it and had a 102 fever that I couldn't keep down (I can't imagine how bad it would've been if I hadn't started taking something for the fever when it hit 102). And my mom ended up in the emergency room on IV fluids and low O2 levels (we're both fine now).

There's different strains of COVID. Some of them aren't bad. Some of them are very serious. Don't let the anecdotal evidence of one person guide your decisions.

"But, fae. I'm vaccinated. I'll be fine." I'm vaccinated too with Pfizer and one booster. My mom had Moderna and 2 boosters. They'll limit how bad you get it, but that doesn't mean it can't still be very serious, even with the vaccine. There's strains out there that have mutated to be resistant to the vaccines.

still alive

yesterday i was resolved to leave the house for a minute, which i did eventually-- around noon, it got up above 20F for a minute, and it was bright sunshine, so I bundled up and went out.

Dude has been trying to dig us out for two days. There are about two solid inches of ice on the ground, over about half an inch of snow. I shoveled at the driveway for a minute, but then I realized the sunshine was likely to be acting more on my car, and spent a while cracking the ice off my car. So my car is now more or less driveable out of its carapace of ice, even though the driveway isn't yet really passable.

I then walked down to the nearest pokestop, but I couldn't make it there. The sidewalks of the high school across the street were clear, but not the block beyond, and the street is too busy and not quite wide enough for it to be safe to walk in the street. Anywhere the ice crust hasn't been removed from is a sheet of solid ice, frictionless-- I saw an Instagram reel of someone ice skating on their driveway, and I believe it. So I managed to cross the street and stand on a snowbank and spin the disc at a pokegym, and then I beat up everyone in the gym and took it over out of a sheer need to feel alive, and then spun the disc a second time and walked back home. It's just not possible to reach any of the other ones close to my house because the sidewalks are impassible.

So I walked home and went back inside and drank a bunch of water and then for the first time I did feel like maybe I am sick, so I lay down and took a nap and really was useless for the rest of the day.

Still no fever.

Someone replied on a previous post and it was in my notifications but I couldn't ever actually see the reply, and now I've forgotten who it was, but they were asking about my vaccine status I think, and yes-- I've had four or five doses, I lose count, of the Pfizer vaccine, including the most recent one which was the bivalent whatsit, which I had in mmmmmm October or November maybe? I genuinely don't remember, it was late 2022 when they were widely available.

Medical advice is wildly conflicting as well, they told my mother that getting Covid would make her immune, but I read a good paper which of course I can't find now that suggests that for most people Covid destroys immunity like the measles and so if you've had it you should consider your vaccines wiped out. I genuinely don't know what the truth there is.

I'm sure the vaccine is why mine is so mild now though. And it is, I just have been sleeping a lot in the last 36 hours, and I'll just keep that up I think. I wish I were getting more done on my projects but being alive is good too so I'll take it.

It’s snowing and I missed it so much I didn’t even mind shoveling the drive for an hour to get my car back up. It’s February break and I’ve been trapped inside with 3 sick and whiney kids and I felt like if I didn’t get out tonight I would go insane. And I needed groceries and a family sled from Target. In hindsight, yes, I should not have gone. But also I have like a week’s experience of driving in the snow and I didn’t realize how quickly snow can fall, it’s been so hit or miss if it even sticks on the road.

I also learned that plows don’t come by past 9 pm (everything here closes between 8 and 9). So, that was fun. The last 10 minutes of my drive were like driving in a snow globe, I don’t even understand how the Honda civic made it honestly. At one point I thought, ‘my Gd, they’re going to find me frozen to death on the side of the road with my car full of Target bags, what an embarrassing way to go.’

But I made it! And learned lots of lessons, most important being don’t be an idiot and drive during a snowstorm.

It was snowing so fast that in the 30 minutes it took to shovel the fresh drive the majority of it was completely covered again by the end. I tried to drive up and nope. I had to shovel 10 feet quickly, drive 10 feet, shovel 10 feet quickly, drive 10 feet etc. Definitely the most I’ve ever seen it snow in my entire life.

Yes yes I know, I need to figure out the damn snowblower. But shoveling is so fun and great exercise. I downloaded Spotify and finally opened my ear bud knockoffs and it was a party. I feel like I’ve joined the 21st century haha.

Anyway. I had chest pain for two months (squeezing and pressure) and was pretty sure I was going to die of a heart attack. I finally saw a doctor about it and got my labs back and I think it was just unrelated pericarditis (doctor thinks it was from the Pfizer bivalent I got in early December, I never had an issue with the J&J or Moderna though). My labs came back with slight anemia and high cholesterol. I need to get better about taking iron and making healthy choices. I am thinking about doing a complete household diet overhaul, I hate feeling like I’m feeding my kids junk.

I’ve started taking evening power walks with my neighbor and it’s the best, but I think I need more cardio. I still plan on getting the treadmill once we figure out the flooring situation in the basement (we have a credit with Home Depot we’re sorting out). I miss running. A lot. And treadmill running is my favorite kind of running. I was thinking about maybe doing another half marathon because then I would be forced to train, but I keep remembering mile 10 and my legs afterward.

I ask Alyssa what she wants to be when she grows up on a weekly basis. First it was a cat, and then for a year it was a firefighter, for 6 months a nurse, then she wanted to be a mommy, then she wanted to be JoJo Siwa. I asked her the other day and she said “I’ve been thinking about this mom. I want to be a chef. For real.” I believe it, she’s a picky eater for sure but she loves to try new things, and oddly she likes spices. And she loves to cook and bake. I want to encourage her interest because I think it will help her become a better eater and just because that’s such a perfect and unique passion. I will miss her JoJo Siwa days though, she is such a performer.

Justin leaves Saturday for an international trip. It feels like he just got back from his last work trip. He’s going to be gone a full seven days. Inconveniently, it’s supposed to snow several times next week. I need to unbox the snowblower before he leaves, I won’t be able to leave the kids to shovel. I want to park the car at the bottom of the driveway but Justin is worried that it will get hit by a snow plow (really?) or that it will roll down because of ice (the bottom of our driveway is still a hill). Hmmmm.
