i think id be disappointed if i stopped doing it but i also don't know if its as worth it if i don't make like. quality art for it anymore

I don't consider the anime canon in my reading of AA so I don't even think any interpretation of MVK being a stereotypical wife/child-beater is necessarily "unrealistic", whatever you think that word means — to me, it means that it's fairly reasonable to believe that any man prone to murder out of sheer pettiness or who's so obsessed with having control and having the last word in his day-to-day and professional life is not treating his kids right — but I do think it's just really boring. Fics written in that vein feel less like character-studies and more like excuses to woobify Edgeworth into becoming more of a pain receptacle you're supposed to feel sorry for rather than an actual character, which make them less likely to move me and more to get me to roll my eyes.

Talking about heroes and heroic deeds and spotlights and all, many people seem to forget that in that sense Shadow is actually really damn modest (out of everything).

Like, if you look at it: he goes out of his way to make sure nothing disturbs the world's peace, he helps out when he's asked (mostly, when his help is REALLY needed) even if he has a thing or two to say on the matter or he has his own separate goals (god the times he's helped EGGMAN of all people, see Sonic Rivals series for example) - and he doesn't ask for anything in return. He doesn't need recognition or gratitude or reward of any sorts - he just does what he thinks is a right thing to do (yes, his methods may be unconventional at times but that's just how it is, he is an ANTIhero after all, he's not Sonic, he's been through some shit to make him a bit jaded, plus he's not perfect despite being The Ultimate Lifeform).

Shadow may seem cold and unsociable - but he's not heartless. He may look like he doesn't care - but that's just a facade, he wouldn't have done shit if he didn't.

He's been hurt deeply in the past but he still keeps his promise to protect this world from harm. His heart is in the right place.

Shadow doesn't need recognition - but damn he deserves one.

alright! sorry for the delay, adhd ate every thought of mine this past month oTL

i realized it's easier to just keep the polls to tumblr instead of redirecting to a different page so im gonna ask some questions again lol (thanks for everyone who did vote on the google forms thingy though!)

im currently leaning towards june or july for this one - before august when the brave alts will drop and attention will be on alfonse, but giving enough time for people who prepare. but if people prefer another date ... that's what this poll is for!

the plan would be to announce prompts at least a month in advance (i.e. april if may wins) or maybe even two if it's preferred + time allows
