Random ghost!bobby hcs
I'm on ghost brainrot lets go
Ok so I originally said he died in a car accident
But I forgot to add
He died in like 2000
His cousin Trevor stole the songs
He was going with him to meet with a record exec since he finally worked up the courage to get back to music
And Trevor didn't really have attachment to the guys so he didn't care as much about credit
Anyways, as a ghost Bobby's kinda on his own the first few years
He tries to find the guys obviously but doesnt find them and loses hope that they came back as ghosts
He does haunt Trevor bad though when he finds out about the songs
2005 was kinda a big year though
He found out Trevor was having a kid, and though he may hate Trevor, he develops a soft spot for lil baby Carrie
Side note he'd been peacefully haunting Rose and Ray since he died
He had grown attached to them since they helped him through his grief before he died
By peacefully haunting I mean like what Reggie does to Ray
Just chillin, some one sided conversations
He attended their wedding btw
And was spiritually holding their hands when Julie was born.
But 2005 was also the year he met Willie
They quickly bonded over shared deaths
Also I'm kinda imagining Willie teaching Bobby to skate
They're Best Bros I decided
He sells his soul to the hgc whoops
Yeah at this point willie doesnt really doubt Caleb
and bobby has no outside attachments
since he can leave the club when he wants to check on the molinas
He was there at Rose's funeral
Willie was there as a shoulder to cry on
Bobby wants to be there for Julie since she seems to be taking the hardest with the loss of music
Anyways fast-forward to 2020
Julie summons the guys
And Bobby Knows
He doesnt know what he Knows but he Knows something is Up
After the Bright performance and Willex meeting and Willie telling him about this cute new guy he met, Bobby figures it out
He's excited
Like hes jumping up and down with glee like when jatp got the orpheum call
After Bobby explains why hes jumping up and down like hes just won the lottery
and willies just standing there in shock bc what are the odds the cute Alex you just met is the same Alex from your best friends dead band?
Anyways Bobby begs Willie for any kind of info indicating where the guys could be
Willie says that Alex mentions their (meaning my band and I (cue another bobby freak out session)) lifer friend Julie
And bobby just stands there in shock bc it can't be the same Julie right?
But it is bc they poof over to the Molinas to check and see the band finishing flying solo
and as soon as they poof in there's about 10 seconds of shocked silence broken by Julie who asks who the two ghosts are followed by 30 straight seconds of incoherent screaming and yelling and questions of excitement.
basking the questions
Bobby and the guys swap stories
theyre all so shocked and happy
Flynn is so so confused
cuz she cant see anybody
sorry flynn
So bobby sticks around
He happily joins the guys in haunting trevor
bobby is the biggest willex shipper since he knows both alex and willie so hes extra happy for them.
not sure how the series itself would alter w/ bobby which I will be adding later, but this is all for now

Maknae Line!Reaction to you being their Soulmate
Requested: nope
Note: I will go to sleep after posting this so it would mean a lot if I could wake up to some likes on this :)
Y/N= your name // Y/L= your last name
Tumblr media
Jimin (fem! Reader)
One day, a rather...inappropriate drawing appeared on your wrist while you were in class.
Your friend almost fell out of her chair from how much she was laughing at your shocked face
But honestly...why would a dick be the first thing that demonstrates your soulmate connection?!
Getting kind of irritated, you grabbed a pen and wrote under the slightly fading ink 'If you like dicks, then you have the wrong soulmate buddy.'
A arm full of messages later, you found out that besides the country you live in and some other stuff, you couldn't share a lot of personal information (your names etc)
You got to the routine of sharing cute messages with each other daily and talking about everything you did (which would be written with a removable pen of course)
He told you that he was in a band
You would give up your hope of finding him on the internet real fast, because no one has the nickname mochi, right?
6 months later you got last minute tickets for BTS, a group that you recently started liking
You were so excited that you forgot to tell him about it
After you met all of them (and obviously Jimin as your bias) you were so happy that you grabbed a pen and started writing on your skin
'OMG I LITERALLY JUST MET BTS!!! They are all so nice ahhh xbxny but Jimin was the best honestly, he's so cute :('
You didn't notice, but right after you finished your text, Jimin was frantically looking around the room
Not being able to find you, he decided to write back
'Baby, it's me! You've just met me! Wave your hands or something, please."
You felt like you might have a heart attack. Jimin was your soulmate??
Looking up and seeing his hopeful gaze, you started jumping up and down and waving
His smile when he saw you was the most precious thing you've ever seen
Tumblr media
Taehyung
On your 18th birthday your soulmates name appeared on your wrist
At first you felt excited to find out who 'Kim Taehyung' is
But when you finally did find out...oh boy. Say hello to insecurities.
Your soulmate is in one of the most famous bands in the world? How can a simple human like you compete with that?
Hiding away for 1 year and silently cheering your good boy on
On one particular night (..where you may or may not have been drunk) you showed your best friend your mark
Her freaking out and screaming at you for being a coward and not going to a fan sign
Getting tickets for one not even 5 minutes later
Being scared AF when you're next in line for meeting Namjoon
Him accidentaly seeing your mark and smiling at you with his cute little dimples that- (okay I'm getting sidetracked, this is about Tae whoops)
Literally shaking when your eyes finally lock with the ones you've beein seeing through a screen all those years
,,Hi, what's your name?" ,,I- uhm...I'm Y/N... Y/N L/N.."
Him pulling that adorable shocked face like :0
Showing him your wrist
Him saying ,,I finally met you" with the biggest grin AHH
Tumblr media
Jungkook
You literally thought you didn't have a soulmate
There was no name on your wrist, no tattoo somewhere on your body and generally no indication of someone being your significant other
For years you had to witness all of your friends gush about their partners, while you could only talk about random one night stands you had
On your birthday, your best friend surprised you with tickets to a BTS Fansign
When you arrived you felt like something big was about to happen, but you brushed it off as being nervous
Everyone there was hyped af (and your friend might have been the loudest)
The boys were so adorable while interacting with different fans
But of course your eyes were mostly set on Jungkook aka bunnyboy
One fateful moment his gaze turned your way and BAM
The room around you was getting blurry, the sound of people talking was barely registered in your mind anymore and you swore you could hear wedding music-
,,Y/N, are you okay?"
Yup, your friend ruined the moment you could only experience once in your life. Oh well.
Only then did you realise that you were next in line to meet Hoseok
Not to sound mean, but the few moments you spent with the members before Jungkook are completely mixed up in your brain
But you obviously remember every second of your first time talking with him
Like the hot smirk on his face and the way he simply greeted you with ,,So you're my soulmate, huh?"

My Six The Musical Review
Once again nobody cares— BUUUT I saw SixChicago yesterday with Adrianna Hicks as Aragon, Andrea Macasaet as Bolyen, Abby Mueller as Seymour, Brittney Mack as Cleves,  Anna Uzele as Parr. Here are somethings I noticed (essentially this is a rundown of everything you wouldn’t get just from listening to the album lol) ((Also im so tired and its 12.28 am and im sorry for any mistakes))
❤️💚💛💗🖤💙
👑 So before the show, they were playing a ton of pop music, but it was on an instrument that kinda sounded like a lute or harpsichord. 👑 When the Queens walked out from behind the curtain in a single file line to take their place on stage, the crowd went crazy. They all came out through a tiny crack in the curtain,, but when they belt “LIIIIVE” the curtain falls to the floor as is dragged off stage. 👑During the dance breaks in Ex-Wives, they go from dancing hip hop, to dancing with each other in a style they would’ve done back then to the beat. It was cute. 👑It was so weird hearing their accents! I’m always expecting “divooced” but it felt like they were almost emphasizing the r “ divoRRced” 👑Before Catherine of Aragon starts singing in Ex-Wives she says “Remember us from PBS??” 👑When Jane Seymour sings her bit in the song she moves Stage Left and when the Queens all say “Hey!” She looks surprised and shrugs, continuing to sing 👑Anna really played up the “JA’s” during her bit and IT WAS SO CUTE (you will find I am partial to clever, bc my gay ass is in love with her.) 👑There is so much dialogue!! After they say “Chicago!! How’re you doing tonight!!” They say we are “SIIIIX” in their harmonies and “Welcome to our divorced, beheaded, LIVE TOUR” 👑Aragon says “WE HAVE SO MUCH IN STORE FOR YOU TONIGHT— WE HAVE THE RIFFS TO RUFFLE YOUR RUFFS” before she does a really sick riff 👑A few of the other queens add on to that,, I forgot what they said but then  Howard says “AND A WHOLE LOT OF HISTORY” and Parr cuts her off and says “OR AS WE SAY A WHOLE LOT OF HERSTORY” 👑then they introduce their band (who are on the stage with then) as their ladies in waiting and I was soft 👑 So then they go on to explain the deal with the show; they are all competing against each other for the crown of the “ultimate” queen based on who had to put up with the most shit from Henry 👑 When they’re going down the line to explain why they say 💛Who lasted longest was the strongest 💚The biggest sinner is obvs the winner 🖤 I have no idea what Seymour said I don’t remember DX ❤️Who was most chased is first place 💗The most glorious will be victorious 💙The winning contestant was the most protestant (but she says it so it rhymes with contestant and then all the queens look at her like ??? And she sighs and says ‘protestant’ with its correct pronunciation 👑Aragon says “How in the purgatory are they gonna choose a leading lady??” 👑”The queen to take the crown will be the one who had the biggest, the firmest, the fullest…. LOAD OF BS TO DEAL WITH FROM THE MAN WHO PUT A RING ON IT 👑There is a reprise of Ex-wives but this time they change the lyrics to “welcome to the show to the coronation” 👑💛lol Aragon cut the reprise off and was like “It doesn’t matter, because I’m the winner” and then she asked the drummer for a beat 👑💛So with the beat, Aragon begins to tell her story, and the bass is strumming the baseline for no way 👑💛”Okay, I’m thinking its… a bit weird they want me to marry my… dead husbands brother”… 👑💛So then she continues recounting the story and she says “I saw lipstick on his collar and I’m like… okAY… so now he wants to annul our marriage and moves this sidekick into mY palace and wants me in a CONVENT” and she’s on a RANT so she pauses and breathes really heavily before smiling really widely and sighing “Now… I don’t think I look that good in a wimple so I said. No. Way.”  And the song starts immediately after that 👑💛Idk what else to say except that Aragon was a total badass and Adrianna Hicks  was a fucking QUEEN 👑💛When she asks him to name when she’s ever caused him pain, she’s all the way upstage on the same platform/semi circle that the band is on, and she’s on her knees kinda begging kinda. She pauses for a LONG time and waits for an answer and her face is smug when she’s like “no?” 👑💛She said “I had the most to deal with AND I hit that high c so that crown is mine,” 👑The other Queens stop her and are like theres another really REALLY IMPORTANT one… the one that overlapped with you who is she?? The famous one that people actually care about!” Then they all start chanting “The one you’ve been waiting for” and the lighting turns green,, while they’re chanting, Anne Boleyn looks really confused and shrugs and walks to the back of the stage and picks up her phone 👑💚The Queens eventually say “The temptresssssss” and they hold it out like a snake “ANNE BOLYEN” and they sing this very choir like 👑💚They all turn to her and Anne is just sitting there cackling at whatever is on her phone and she’s like “ Whoops sorry,,” and Don’t loose your head starts 👑💚Andrea Macasaet has SUCH a high pitched voice she was absolutely ADORABLE 👑💚When she said “get ahead” she smirked and everyone laughed 👑💚Instead of her voice going down on “Pret a Manger,” it got even higher almost In a mocking French accent. 👑💚She is pissing Aragon the fuck off this entire song lol 👑💚When she says “Are you blind??” She gestures between she and Aragon 👑💚 “What was I meant to do?” Is sung like a confused toddler lol 👑💚 So the bit where they play the wedding song, all the queens bow to her and she walks past, smiling and waving and she gets to the end of the line and is like “Hold up,, let me tell you how it went down HENRY’S OUT EVERY NIGHT …. Etc” 👑💚”Bro just shut up!” Instead of mate 👑💚She even asks the band what was she meant to do, and everyone is repeating her and she screams “OH MY GOD SERIOUSLY HE REALLY WANTS TO CUT MY HEAD OFF” 👑💚and then she grins again after a long silence and she’s all smug like “I guess he really liked my head…..” While kinda licking her lips lol 👑💚DEAR GOD HER RIFFS JESUS FUCKING HREHTTLTURHGUEHURL 👑💚And she was like “yeah… that was such a weekend… I like died… and it was so extra! So im clearly the winner. So now, I have to sing a song I wrote when I found out that Catherine of Aragon had died. Its called WEAR YELLOW TO A FUNERAL SING IF YOU KNOW THE WORDS. And the bass came in and Boleyn sings “Catherine was a massive C-” and the other Queens immediately shut her up 👑Aragon and Boleyn start arguing until Seymour is like “its my turn now…” 👑Everyone looks at het before they burst out laughing, telling her ‘bye’ and ‘girl, please’ 👑And Seymour is like yeah,, I was in love and I was really really lucky. 👑🖤 And Seymour goes into this really heartbreaking monologue about how she missed her songs future and how she had a picture of her family. She said that Henry was really sweet and that she loved him 👑Boleyn cuts her off and is like “yeahhhh,, there was this one really cute time where he, like, cut my head off :) 👑🖤Seymour said that Aragon and Boleyn were badasses. Then she said that she promised to always stay by his side and didn’t yell at him back like the other two because she loved him. Then she dedicated the song to him 👑🖤Heart of Stone started and honestly,,, its not my favorite song and I usually skip it. But mY GOODNESS. Abby Mueller is a fucking goddess wow. The amount of control she has on her voice is astounding 👑🖤(fun fact abt me— I have perfect pitch lol)  they pitch changed it into A major and it transposes into B major which was SO BEAUTIFUL. It made me actually like the song lol 👑🖤Its not really eventful,, she just stands in the middle of the stage. 👑Seymour is like,, “what hurts more than a broken heart?” And  Boleyn is like “A chopped off head” 👑Almost immediately  after it transfers to Cleves and she’s like “soo he’s running out of options in England he had to expand his fields and adjust his location settings to find his next queen. We are Heading to Germany where  he got the help of Han….. 👑At some point during the song, the other queens ran off stage to get their glasses and ruffs 👑They all run back on stage in their glasses and ruffs (Cleves still hasn’t said his last name yet) and they all whisper “Holbien” 👑WELCOME TO THE HOUSE 👑lol this song is SO funny… and Cleves is so fucking adorable (she was flossing at some point). The dancing was so… German…it was hilarious. 👑So after the song is done,, the girls still have their ruffs and glasses on and it kinda turns into a mobile app like tinder.. 👑Basically there are two queens before Cleves and they all stand up and walk downstage as they are introduced, they smile and their picture is taken and they wait for about two seconds before Henry swipes left or right. 👑The two in front of Cleves are played by Parr and Howard. 👑After Cleves is selected their is a Holbein reprise 👑❤️The other queens run off taking the ruffs and Cleves is left on the stage sighing comically several times. She’s at the back of the stage sitting on a makeshift stone 👑❤️”Its the tragic story of a princess-educated, savvy, young- deemed ugly by an ulcer-ridden, wheezing, winkled man 20 years her senior.” 👑❤️WHATS A MORE DEVASTATING FATE THAN BEING FORCED INTO A BEAUTIFUL PALACE IN RICHMOND WITH MORE MONEY THAN I COULD EVER SPEND AND NO MAN TO TELL ME WHAT TO DO WITH IT 👑❤️Get down is also key changed 👑❤️When she sings “I’m the Queen of the castle” she is skipping across the stage 👑❤️When she gives her fur to the footman, she actually takes off her coat and hands it to one of the queens. The crowd went crazy and she’s like “guys stop,’ and like acting all shy but secretly enjoying it-she says “Okurrrrrrrrr” . Then she’s like “AS YOU WERE” and everyone is quiet lol 👑❤️the part where it slows down and she’s like “SIT DOWNNN YOU DIRTTTY RrrrrrASCALLL” she opera sings it and I shat myself 👑❤️she uses her microphone as a lute lol 👑❤️YOU CANT (nope) STOP (nuh-uh) YOU CANT STOP ME 👑❤️At some point she squeezes her boob. I love her. 👑❤️after she kills us all by belting that last note she points to a girl in the front row and is like “YOU IN THE PINK DRESS!” and she gestures for her to stand up. And the girl stands up and they bop together with Cleves ad libbing in the background 👑❤️Eventually she says “Okay sugar this is my song, GET DOWN” 👑❤️And then after a moment of silence she’s like “So yeah it was really tragic…” 👑Aragon is like that doesn’t sound difficult at all and Ceves is like “oh… yeah.. I probably won’t win this thing… WELP BACK TO THE PALACE!” 👑the queens argue more and honestly it’s iconic 👑Seymour is yelling at Aragon and her voice is so loud and Cleves interrupts her and is like “guys,… I have the plague” and they all gasp and she’s like “HAHA JUST KIDDING MY LIFES AMAZING” they roll their eyes and Parr is like “our next queen! K HOWARD!” And everyone is like who??? 👑Aragon is like “ The least relevant Catherine,,” and Boleyn is like “Yeahhh i get it and I still don’t care,,,”
👑Howard is like “You’re right… I need all the help I can compete. What happened to you was terrible,, and so were you songs,,” Then she proceeded to roast everyone. She says “Anne you obviously had it worse I mean you lost your head……. Oh wait…..” 👑💗And then she says “but seriously Anna, getting rejected for your looks really sucks…. cant relate…I’m really hot…. So yeah. I can compete like this” or smthing and then all you wanna do starts. 👑💗At the beginning of the song the queens touch her everywhere and she leans into it willingly 👑💗Blowing the flute,, she winks at the audience and when she says C-D she puts her hand in front of her crotch and squeezes. 👑💗 “There was this guy… Francis and he asked me to be his little piece of aaaasssssss…istant! 👑💗The song goes from upbeat to upsetting very very quickly after Francis she starts to become less trusting and she gets more disoriented as the show goes on. 👑💗”Apparently men only hire women to get them into their private chamber… times were different then…” 👑💗When she says “He says  we have this connection,”  about Henry Seymour comes from behind her and touches her stomach — all you can see is her hand touching her sensually. She looks a little surprised and then she’s like “I guess its not so different..” 👑💗By the time we get to Thomas Culpepper she is flustered and VERY uncomfortable. The girls are all touching her now and she looks down and stares at their hand before pushing them away and finishing the end of the song. she keeps pushes them away but they keep coming back. She looks utterly heartbroken and you can see her unraveling. 👑💗THAT RIFF WAS SO GGHRSILGBRLGKJBJL 👑💗she screams “WHEN WILL ENOUGH BE ENOUGH” as they keep touching her and she fails as she pushes them away. 👑💗Eventually she gets them off but she ends up by herself on the stage with her face facing up and a dim pink spotlight is on her. 👑💗There is a chilling silence and then she’s smiling and says ‘YEAH and then I was beheaded and I won this competition!” 👑Then they get into another argument. Boleyn starts talking about how her beheading was more relevant because Henry humiliated her more and Aragon was like,,, um I won the humiliation game and she counts her mistresses 👑Then they start yelling about the miscarriages they had and Boleyn says she has three and Aragon says “You know what Anne BO-LOSER I HAD FIVE” and Parr is like “this is not okay, don’t compare miscarriages, thats hella insensitive” and they push her to the center and tell her to sing her song 👑Theres a random baseline again and Parr looks like she’s about to start singing but she stops and says,,”I’m good,” and tries to go off stage. They all accuse her of being a sore loser because she survived and knows that she had no chance of winning. 👑Parr is like,,, NO its pitting us against each other and the queens all groan  and make fun of her and she’s like okay,, imma sing the song then. And Katherine Howard says “Are you sure?? Are you sure you dont want to stick to backing vocals where you belong?” 👑💙And Parr softly says “Queens take a seat,” before turning to the pianist and saying “Can you give me a Bb maj7, please?” 👑💙Parr shuts down all the queens and says her life wasn’t all rainbows because she survived. And she talks about her love tom, and I never realized that the song is a letter to tom. She starts off “Dear Tom, You know I love you boy,” 👑💙 Anna Uzele was so fucking good. And Tbh,, this is my least favorite song so I don’t remember much about the staging (I’m sorry) 👑💙Side note,, parr is such a badass and an amazing woman 👑At the end of the song, she turns to the queens and is like “without Henry we all disappear ,” and Boleyn is like “I don’t get it” and parr asks “How does anyone know who we are” and Boleyn is like “mY SiX fInGeRs-“ before Aragon cuts her off and is like “Put it away, baby” 👑Parr then asks Henry the 7 and 6’s wives names and nobody can answer. “but, when we get together as a group-“ Boleyn cuts her off and is like “EVERYONE NOTICES THAT JANE CAN’T DANCE!” “NO WE COMPARE OURSELVES” 👑when Boleyn finally gets it she explains the situation like she’s an encyclopedia and it was so funny and fast and oMG 👑”UGH if we had realized this before we started we could have done something else like make a fake competition to show everyone how messed up comparing us is and then we could reclaim our story and all become the leading ladies…” “:/ and they are all saying this dialogue its just split up and I dont remember it very well 👑IF ONLY WE HAD THOUGHT OF THAT BEFORE 👑then they look at each other and smirk at the audience before reprising Parr’s song as “We don’t need your love,” 👑Which was so good bc THEY DON’T NEED HENRY’S LOVE YES 👑Then they point out “We might only be remember for marrying the same man,, but why does anyone give a sh- who he is? It’s because of his,,” then they all harmonize ’SIIIIIIX WIVES’ 👑AND WE ALL HAVE A ROYAL HAPPY EVER AFTER but Boleyn cuts Seymour off and is like “But we didn’t” 👑then they go onto explain how none of them had happy endings and they’re like,, but we can rewrite them! So they do and that leads into Six which is such a soft song. 👑Six, actually starts off very slowly. It speeds up after they say “we’re six” 👑It was such an energy ending I was speechless and gold confetti poured down on them and OMG I was shaken to my core.

Last Days of Summer @KCRep
Well this has been long in coming
Guys.
Tumblr media
I saw Last Days of Summer with Corey Cott and Emily Padgett and it was amazing and now I’m here a week and a day late to talk your ear off about it. ;)
I went with my favorite cousin (shhh don’t tell the other cousins) to see the show because she likes theatre too but her family doesn’t care so they never see things.
She knew I was a fan of one of the cast, and I did my level best not to fangirl too hard and I think it was an all around success. :D
This was yet another exercise in the “how far will Rags drive across the country to see a show if it is at all a possibility to do so” which I think is going to drive my parents insane.
When we got there, I did what I forgot to do at The Lion King and asked if it was ok to take pictures of the curtain call. Unfortunately, because of copyright reasons with Jason Sherwood’s set design, pictures were not allowed. :P But now at least I think I’ll remember to ask the ushers at shows, because curtain calls are my favorite thing and someday I will get pictures at them.
I’m not going to spoil the story for anyone who may want to read the book the musical is based off of, or just in case it gets produced again. (please please please) But if you’re curious, there’s this.
We went the last night because I couldn’t get away sooner. I would have loved to see the first show and then seen the closing show because I know they did a lot of changes, but I’m really happy with the version we saw.
It opened with a radio suspended on a wire, and the crackling voice of a baseball announcer set the narrative into motion. The radio was one of my favorite parts of the production, it was a great storytelling technique.
Robbie Berson as young Joey Margolis was amazing. All the kids in the cast were, but as the main protagonist....antagonist? hm, anyways, the main character, he carried the story the whole time in a great way, always believable as an incorrigible kid and strong enough to dig into the deeper parts of the story.
Jim Kaplan as Craig Nakamura was also amazing, and I love the character of sweet but feisty Craig so much.
These two boys, honestly, they were such pros.
And what can I say about Corey and Emily? They are stars, obviously, and I loved every second they were on stage, together or separate.
The end of Act One features a pretty big blow up between Joey and Corey’s Charlie, where Joey allows his emotions to get the better of him and turns on Craig. Charlie scolds him and tells him he has no choice about growing up and gives him a thing or two about being a man. Honestly, that act one closer was pretty great, but it also gave two of my favorite moments of the show:
1) When Charlie gets fed up with Joey’s selfish behavior, Corey bellowed “sit down!” and one older audience member audibly went “whoa” XD XD XD.
2) in the song that follows (”Says Who? Says I”), there was a moment where - for lack of a better description and realizing it’s a pun considering what team Charlie Banks plays on - Corey became a giant on that stage. For most of the production, all the players were equals. Kids and adults and ensemble members alike, they complimented each other and no one outshone anyone else. But near the end of the song, and probably on purpose for the story, Charlie/Corey towered above everything else as he belted out lines that were equally self-deprecating and proud about who Charley and Joey should be. I was in awe. It was a great moment.
Emily’s disguised yet still noticeable baby bump made for some fourth-wall-breaking humorous moments for the audience, considering her starlet character and lead romantic interest persona. But it was all good. XD
I. am. seriously. in. love. with. that. staging. I could talk about the sets all day.
Jeff Calhoun’s directing. Can I get an amen.
Jim/Craig’s performance of “We Always Had a Garden” is honestly the part I got the most emotional over, and he sang it like an angel, I was very wow.
I need the album.
Chris Dwan as Stuke was great. I started to get worried about Stuke’s mortality when he went from “occasional comic relief” to “goofy tag-along friend” and, well, I was right. But he was great and he had this fantastic little random dance number (”This Time It’s For Real”) while singing about his latest crush. It was precious. XD
There was, as the review I linked to said, a lot crammed into this little show. Like, a lot of a lot. The first act balanced everything pretty well, the second act was a little stuffed.
One of the big climactic moments in act two felt very rushed, and one of those “we’re just going to assume the audience gets what we mean” and the audience gets it but isn’t allowed any time to appreciate it. I’d like to see that done a little differently, but I completely chalk it up to there just being such a wealth of plot to deal with in those final scenes and numbers.
Speaking of numbers, if you want a taste of some of the music aside from that one clip with Robbie and Jim, Corey performed some of the songs with some cast members at his concert that week:
“You Never Have to Say Goodbye” - cue tears
“No One Else For Me” - sweeeeet
I love Big Band music so much. Jason Howland for the win.
“That’ll Be You and Me” is sort of a bonding moment for Joey and Charlie and it reminded me a lot of the character dynamic between Zach and Henry in Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium, one of my favorite movies.
The wedding scene was hysterical. You’re just gonna have to take my word for it, but the blocking on it was perfect and the characters played tug-of-war across the stage trying to get Charlie to board his train on time and keep the rabbi from passing out as he flew through the “ceremony.” XD The Rabbi was a good character. Give Gary Neal Johnson a hand.
I did not cry. There were moments. But I didn’t. XD
Everybody kept swearing and then the boys would make “can we say that word” jokes, like in the middle of a song, when you knew what they were going to say because it rhymed, and I’m old fashioned but it was also great. XD
There’s an earlier scene where the baseball team is helping Joey memorize his answers for his Bar Mitzvah (”The Only Way to Score”) and it was both funny and precious as everyone except Joey learns all the Hebrew answers.
“Just Like Us” and its reprises kept the show solidly focused on Joey, and his buddy Craig.
I wanted to give both Joey and Charlie all the hugs.
I whooped for the orchestra at bows. I’m always like the only person who does that at a show, but I appreciate the orchestras so much, it’s just my thing now: I whoop loudly in support of the pit musicians, deal with it everybody.
My cousin enjoyed it :D :D :D
Standing ovation, btw, of course.
Okay, so, after the show:
We stuck around with a group of peeps to stagedoor. Folks, this is the first time I successfully stagedoored something lol.
Corey was the first person to come out, and... - poor guy. XD He was booking it, making a very determined beeline for the exit. If I was left to my own, I would have let him go, but the guy in front of me stopped him so I got up my courage. He was polite and kind to us, but you could tell he just wanted to go home. (and afterward he ended up apparently getting delayed like seven hours trying to get back home to the city, so I don’t blame him at all) So he signed a couple posters and playbills, and then as he was walking away I stepped forward and asked if I could get his autograph. He was like “yeah, ok” and then, rather than giving him the playbill, I pulled out my Bandstand album jacket. :D :D :D Guys, he lit up, it was the cutest and happiest thing. He went from “ok sure” to “awwww yeaaaaah!” and signed it like six times because my marker wasn’t working properly lol, and then was like “um that’s gonna have to be good enough” even though I told him the first time was ok. XD
Tumblr media
So then everyone else started to come out, and I got a lot of the cast to sign my playbill, including all the main kids, Emily, and most of the baseball players - who were the coolest about doing autographs so bless you dudes. Young Jim somehow has the neatest signature.
Tumblr media
And then we went home! XD
As usual, I am certain I am forgetting all the things, but there we are. I only wish I could have gone twice. I would love to have gone earlier so I could tell everyone to go see it. But I’m reasonably sure it will get more productions, so be on the look out for it! :D

I decided to answer all of the questions from this because why not. I like music. Enjoy. Or don’t. I did this because I wanted to, not for anyone else’s enjoyment, though if you like it that definitely is a plus. ^-^
1:A song you like with a color in the title Red Tide, by Rush
2:A song you like with a number in the title One is the Loneliest Number, by Three Dog Night AND the version by Harry Nilsson
3:A song that reminds you of summertime Song of Purple Summer, from Spring Awakening
4:A song that reminds you of someone you would rather forget about N/A
5:A song that needs to be played LOUD Any song by Rush, to be honest. Except the slower ones.
6:A song that makes you want to dance Choreographed dance? Control, by Halsey. I made up an entire choreography to this song (mentally) and I always want to get up and to it when I hear the song. Dance as in just flail your arms around dance? Probably Wake Me Up Before you Go Go, by Wham!
7:A song to drive to Um. I don’t drive. So.
8:A song about drugs or alcohol Hurt, by Johnny Cash (I’m pretty sure that it’s about heroin addiction). Alcohol would be Walk a Little Straighter Daddy, by Billy Currington, which is about a kid commenting on his alcoholic father, or maybe Sober, by P!nk.
9:A song that makes you happy Sweet Dreams are Made of These, by Eurythmics
10:A song that makes you sad Oh, I have lots. Probably either Hello, by Evanescence, or When I’m Gone, by Joey + Rory. The second one is extra sad when you learn that the woman, Joey, died of cancer last year, leaving behind her husband, Rory, and young child, who has Downs Syndrome.
11:A song that you never get tired of So Close, by Jon McLaughlin
12:A song from your preteen years Hm. I didn’t really listen to lots of music back then. Um. Probably Part of Your World, from Little Mermaid, since I auditioned with that song.
13:One of your favorite 80’s songs Ah, this one is hard since I love 80’s music. Um. Discounting Rush… Argh! This is really hard! Um. Keep on Loving You, by REO Speedwagon? Maybe? In addition to all the other 80’s songs I’ve already mentioned.
14:A song that you would love played at your wedding So Close, by Jon McLaughlin. I love this song, it’s so pretty.
15:A song that is a cover by another artist Well, Hurt, by Johnny Cash (originally by Nine Inch Nails). Also, While My Guitar Gently Weeps, by Regina Spektor (originally by the Beatles) (OH! GOING TO CALIFORNIA, BY AMY LEE. ONE OF MY FAVORITE COVERS. I ALMOST FORGOT. WHOOPS)
16:One of your favorite classical songs Um. Don’t listen to classical stuff.
17:A song that would sing a duet with on karaoke Don’t Go Breaking my Heart, by Elton John.
18:A song from the year that you were born Oh. Uh. Let me go check the internet real quick. Okay, back. Apparently Iris, by The Goo Goo Dolls, and I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing, by Aerosmith were both released in 1998. Sweet.
19:A song that makes you think about life Saturn, by Sleeping at Last. Beautiful song, by the way, I really recommend this one.
20:A song that has many meanings to you I… don’t know. Most songs only have one meaning to me.
21:A favorite song with a person’s name in the title Dear Katie, by James Blunt ( ;-) ) Or maybe Joey, by Concrete Blonde.
22:A song that moves you forward … ? I don’t get this question. A song that inspires me to keep going? Um… I don’t know?
23:A song that you think everybody should listen to Well, pretty much all of these songs. But I’ll say Love Exists, by Amy Lee. It’s a really pretty song.
24:A song by a band you wish were still together I don’t know. I don’t know much about the bands.
25:A song by an artist no longer living Time in a Bottle, by Jim Croce, AKA the most ironic/poignant song in the world. It was one of his last songs before his death and it’s about not having enough time to spend with the one you love. “But there never seems to be enough time/to do the things you want to do/once you find them.”
26:A song that makes you want to fall in love. Love Exists, by Amy Lee.
27:A song that breaks your heart I’m in Here, by Sia.
28:A song by an artist with a voice that you love Speak to Me, by Amy Lee.
29:A song that you remember from your childhood Return to Pooh Corner, from Winnie the Pooh. My dad used to sing this song to me as a baby and I used to love it as a little kid.
30:A song that reminds you of yourself One More Time With Feeling, by Regina Spektor. Or maybe I Had This Thing, by Röyksopp.

Leo x MC: Starting Over
I haven’t had the chance to post this fic until now since 1) I’ve been working on it FOREVER (mostly b/c of school keeping me busy, haha ^-^’) and 2) I was reluctant to post it on my Tumblr (I’m shy, okay? :P).
Anyway, here it is! Dedicating this story to you lovelies who adore Leo and/or Shakespeare~. :)
BTW, this is technically Part I of the story (So the Prologue and Acts I, II, & III.). I’ll try to post Part II (Acts IV, V, & the Epilogue) as soon as I finish writing them. :P
Warnings: Low-key spoilers; mentions of murder; story gets kind of angsty/dramatic/emotional by the third act (whoops~).
Nonetheless, enjoy~. (Story below.)
Prologue
You know the saying, “Ask and you shall receive”? Well, I didn’t ask for any of this to happen.
I didn’t ask to be a Granger.
I didn’t ask to leave my country.
I didn’t ask to become a princess.
And I most certainly did not ask for Leo Crawford to come back into my life.
Act I
I stared up at the ceiling, unable to fall asleep. Today had been an exhausting day: besides the usual princess lessons and the never-ending meetings with my potential suitors, I had to prepare for my official coronation ceremony.
I was shocked when I found out that I was going to be queen so soon; I had only been Wysteria’s princess elect for about three months, so I wasn’t exactly the most experienced person to run the country. And although the King’s health seemed to be improving, he insisted that the sooner I take the throne, the better both he and the country will be. And so - after much backlash from the old bureaucrats - he scheduled my coronation ceremony to occur a week from today.
And because the ceremony was coming up so soon, the pressure for me to choose a suitor skyrocketed. Every day, someone felt that it was absolutely necessary to ask me if I had found “The One” yet. Sometimes, people would even give me suggestions as to who I should marry. “Oh, I do believe that Duke Howard would be an excellent choice for your prince consort. He is such a gentleman, plus he’s quite the looker!” “But it would be politically advantageous for the princess to marry King Byron. Imagine what would happen if Wysteria strengthened relations with Stein!”
First of all, people can’t just expect me to find “The One” overnight. If that was possible, I’d be living in a fairytale. Which, at the moment, sounded far better than suffering from the stress of the real world. Plus, people think that I need a husband to rule beside me. I know I’m going to be queen in a week, but can’t I have some more time to choose a suitor? And besides, who said it was an absolute necessity for a queen to need a king?
Second: How the heck did the words “politically advantageous relationship” suddenly become synonymous with “potential lifetime partner”? Sure, King Byron is a great ruler, an important ally, and a wonderful person. But if I wouldn’t want to marry him solely for power. I had openly spoken to him about the possibility of marriage alliance during my visit to Stein last month. Although he didn’t necessarily agree with my views, he respected my decision and advised me not to feel pressured to wed purely for the sake of politics. We’ve been good friends ever since that day.
Lastly, I’m not going to pick my suitor based on how popular they are with the people. Especially when it comes to Louis Howard. I agree that Louis’s charm and looks make him a seemingly perfect candidate for my prince consort. But I’m not going to choose him just because people are telling me to do so. Besides, he and I aren’t very close: whenever I try to socialize with him, he tends to stay quiet and distance himself from me. I’m pretty sure that he either doesn’t like me or is interested in somebody else.
Not that it’s my problem: as far as I’m concerned, he’s free to admire whomever he wants. At least he has an idea of who he wants to spend the rest of his life with.
I groaned and covered my face with my blanket. I couldn’t let stress get the best of me, especially since I was going out of town tomorrow for a meeting with the Duke of Laurelia.
I looked at the clock on my nightstand: it wasn’t too late yet. I jumped off of the bed, slipped on a robe and some shoes, and snuck out of my room.
~~~
I expertly tiptoed my way to the palace’s library. The door was propped open, so I slid through the doorway before slowly closing it. I looked around the dimly lit room: beautifully colored books covered the intricately carved bookshelves surrounding the room. An ancient grandfather clock stood between two windows covered in sheer champagne-colored curtains. A long wooden desk covered with several documents stood in front of the tallest bookcase, and two sofas decorated the middle of the library. To top it off, a huge crystal chandelier hung onto the ceiling, reflecting the remaining candlelight throughout the room. I sighed to myself. Sometimes, I forgot how fancy this place looked for a library.
I walked up to one of the bookshelves and scanned their contents. “Okay, let’s see,” I mumbled as I searched through the authors’ names. “Beaumont, Fletcher, Kyd, Marlow, Middleton… Ah-ha!” The red leather-bound book I found was just a few shelves above me. I grabbed a chair from behind the desk and climbed on top of it. Being shorter-than-average, I had to stand on my toes in order to reach for the book. I almost had my grip on the book, but I nearly fell off of the chair when I suddenly heard a voice from behind me: “What exactly is the princess doing here at this hour?”
I grabbed the top of my chair to steady myself. Once I found my balance, I turned to face the person behind me. “What the hell, Leo?!” I exclaimed. “Don’t scare me like that!”
Act II
I had met Leo Crawford when we were children. Although we were both born into nobility, our families - the Grangers and the Crawfords - had been feuding with each other for centuries. Nobody - not even Wysteria’s best historians - knows who initiated the fight, let alone what started it.
When we were kids, we didn’t take our families’ ancient grudges against each other into account. We would play together all the time, along with Alyn, Leo’s twin brother. It wasn’t until their parents died that I learned we were destined to hate each other.
The story was that the old Crawford mansion was raided by a band of thieves. They took everything that they could find, and they didn’t stop until they murdered Lord and Lady Crawford in front of their sons’ eyes. Luckily, one of the family’s maids managed to help the boys escape before their home was burned down. Once they were out of harm’s way, Alyn and Leo moved into the palace temporarily before being offered to live at their uncle’s mansion.
When the news about Alyn and Leo’s parents got out, the rumours spread like wildfire. People believed that a Granger sent the group of thieves to kill Lord and Lady Crawford. Others talked about the possibility of the Crawford twins plotting their revenge against the Grangers.
After hearing the rumours, my parents made sure that I would never see the Alyn and Leo ever again. We moved out of Wysteria and completely cut off all forms of communication from the remaining Crawfords.
Time passed and we never learned who the real culprit of the murder was. Of course, the people needed to blame someone, so they always pointed at my family. Being made the scapegoat made my blood boil: why should my family take responsibility for a crime somebody else committed? The whispers eventually died down, but that didn’t stop me from wishing that I hadn’t been born a Granger and that I had never met the Crawfords.
Years later, I returned to my home country - against my parents’ wishes - with the intention to study political science. Instead, I was chosen to be Wysteria’s princess elect. Now, no matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t seem to stay away from the Crawfords. I did my best to ignore them; however, I quickly found that hard to do.
Alyn - who is now the Captain of the Wysterian Knights - holds the responsibility of protecting me from harm at all costs. He often accompanies me on my trips out of town, which I find mildly annoying since we were supposed to be enemies. Luckily, he’s not much of a talker, so our time together often feels brief and uneventful.
And then there’s Leo. The unpredictable one. The spontaneous twin. The flirtatious bureaucrat who somehow convinced Giles - the king’s advisor and my personal tutor - to choose me as the princess elect.
I don’t know why Leo did it. Maybe this was his way of ensuring that I’d be miserable with the weight of responsibilities on my shoulders.
Well, he sure is doing a mighty fine job with making me suffer.
~~~
I glared at Leo, infuriated that he had almost made me fall. He looked different from blonde, lanky kid I used to know. His hair now seemed to be more white than blonde. His attire was fit for a palace bureaucrat, especially his long velvet coat. I noticed that he had time to develop some muscle in his tall body, which showed through his white button-up shirt. His familiar crimson eyes observed me from behind his black, thin-rimmed glasses.
I was amazed at how much he’d changed. I hated to admit it, but Leo grew up to be a dashing young man.
Leo chuckled. His platinum blonde hair moved along with his bobbing head. “You should really be more careful: that could’ve been a nasty fall.”
I rolled my eyes at the him. “Thank you, Captain Obvious. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m just going to get this book and then I’ll be on my way.”
“You’re still quite the bookworm, eh?” Leo said.
“And I see you’re still awfully nosy.” I turned to face the bookshelf and resumed my mission to grab the book. I found it significantly harder to reach for the book with Leo watching my every move. After I struggled for a few moments, Leo spoke up: “Rosie, allow me.”
I refused to let my guard down at his attempt to be friendly. “It’s Rosalind to you, Crawford. Wait, what are you-?” Suddenly, Leo grabbed my waist and began to lift me off of the chair. I briefly shrieked in terror, but Leo shushed me. “Rosie, lower your voice. Do you want to wake up the whole palace?”
“I will if you don’t put me down.”
Leo sighed. “Look, I’m only trying to help. Just tell me where the book is and I’ll hoist you up.”
I groaned. “Fine.” My eyes scanned the bookshelves for my prize. “Up. Now a little to the left. Almost there.” Leo’s hands stayed securely around my waist as he maneuvered me towards my destination. “Here it is!” I exclaimed as I grabbed the book. My celebration was briefly cut off by Leo’s laughter. “What’s so funny?” I asked, confused.
Leo turned me around to face him. “You’re just so cute when you get excited. Especially about books.”
I felt my face grow hot. I looked away, attempting to hide my blush. “Oh, shut up and let me down.”
“As you wish, Princess.” I held the book in my arms as he gently set me back onto the floor. Once I was securely on the ground, I attempted to free myself from his grip, but he wouldn’t let me go. Leo tried to meet my eyes with his own. I avoided his gaze and looked at the floor instead. For people who were supposed to be lifelong enemies, we were way too close to each other.
After a long while, Leo finally let go of me and asked, “Whatcha got there?”
I blinked at him for a moment. “Oh, this?” I gestured at the book I was holding. “It’s just an old play.”
“Which one?”
“Romeo and Juliet,” I replied.
His eyes lit up with excitement. “That’s my favorite Shakespearean play!”
I was taken aback by his enthusiasm. “Well, I haven’t read it yet, so don’t spoil anything for me. Plus, I couldn’t get myself to fall asleep, so I figured that I might as well start reading it tonight.” I was suddenly embarrassed with how much I had just told him.
Leo lifted an eyebrow. “Don’t tell me you still have insomnia.”
“Mild insomnia,” I corrected him as I wrapped my robe tighter around my body. “Along with the stress of becoming queen in a week and having to choose a suitor.” I instantly regretted letting that detail slip out of my mouth. Leo’s expression showed concern. He opened his mouth to say something, but I interrupted him: “It’s alright, Leo. You don’t have to worry about me. Now, if you’ll excuse me.” I started to walk away from him, but then he grabbed my wrist. More exhausted than irritated, I turned to face him. “What is it, Leo?”
“Can I read with you?” He seemed somewhat nervous as he waited for my answer.
I stared at him, surprised that he would make such a request. Considering the fact that we weren’t supposed to be in the same room together (and that I didn’t exactly want to be in the same room with him), I was about to decline his offer. And yet, something was telling me that I shouldn’t turn him down. “Um. Sure, of course,” I managed to say.
Relieved, Leo led me to one of the sofas. He removed his coat and placed it on the table in front of the sofa. He took a seat, but I remained standing. “Rosie, don’t be shy. There’s space for both of us.” He patted the spot right next to him. Of all people, I had to sit beside my sworn enemy. After a moment I sat down, leaving enough legroom for both of us. Leo chuckled. “Oh, come on, Rosie. I don’t bite.” I was caught off-guard when he wrapped an arm around me and pulled me toward him. My head landed on his chest; I could hear his heart beating. I lifted my head to face him. “Leo-.”
“Hold on,” he said as he readjusted his position. His back was now against the arm of the sofa and his long legs almost covered the length of the seat. I hesitantly followed his lead, seating myself between his legs and letting my back rest against his torso. We were so close to each other; it reminded me of how we used to cuddle with each other when we were younger, especially whenever we would read together.
I was glad that he couldn’t see me blush.
“Alright, we can start now,” he said.
Before opening the book, I asked him, “Do you want to take turns reading lines?” I felt him nod. At this, I opened the book, turned to the Prologue, and began to read: “Two households, both alike in dignity,/In fair Verona, where we lay our scene,/From ancient grudge break to new mutiny,/Where civil blood makes civil hands unclean…”
Act III
”For never was a story of more woe/Than this of Juliet and her Romeo.” I closed the book as Leo said the last lines of the play. I sighed, contemplating about what I had just read. “Wow,” I said. “That was…”
“The greatest love story of all time?” Leo asked.
I shook my head. “I was actually going to say depressing. I mean, Romeo and Juliet were meant to be together. But then they were torn apart by their families’ hate for each other.” I lowered my voice, almost to a whisper. “Then again, I guess their fate was inevitable.”
“Actually, I disagree,” Leo said.
I raised an eyebrow and turned to face him. “How so?”
He removed his glasses and placed them on the table. “Well, in the end, Romeo and Juliet were reunited. You know that phrase they say in marriage: ‘till death do us part’?” I nodded. “That’s exactly what happened to them,” Leo continued. “Romeo and Juliet vowed to love each other until the very end, and they kept their promises. Even though their families tried to pull them apart, they still defied their fates. The two of them chose to be lovers until the end of their days. That’s why they’re called ‘Shakespeare’s star-crossed lovers.’”
My eyes widened at his response. “Well, when you put it like that, it sounds really beautiful.” Leo’s eyes brightened at my comment. “But,” I continued. “If they had just stayed away from each other, none of that drama would have happened. They would have suffered much less if they had ignored each other at the ball.”
“But would they really have been happy if they hadn’t given each other a chance? If they had simply walked away from each other just because of their families’ names?” Leo challenged.
I looked down, pondering about what he had just said. He isn’t talking about us, is he? I took a deep breath and finally managed to ask, “Why do I get the feeling that we’re not just talking about Romeo and Juliet?”
A sad smile crossed his face. “Rosalind.” He took my hands in his. I looked at him, surprised that he called me by my full name. I looked into his eyes, trying to figure out what he was going to say next. Leo raised his hand and tucked a stray hair behind my ear. “It doesn’t have to be like this, you know.” His fingers lingered on a long piece of my dark hair.
I shook my head. “Everyone knows that our families hate each other.”
“Screw the old grudges,” Leo said defiantly. “Do you think I’d let some ancient fight keep us apart?”
“Actually, that’s exactly what’s keeping us apart, in case you didn’t remember.” I stood up and began to walk away from the sofa. I can’t let him see me like this: I need to get out of here now.
“No. Rosie, not you too.” Leo followed me, cutting off my path to the door. “Is that why you’re avoiding me? Or is it something else? Talk to me, please.”
He reached out to grab my hand, but I stepped out of his grasp. “You really want to know why I’m avoiding you?” I didn’t wait for his answer. “Because it sucks to be blamed for something my family didn’t do.” Leo opened his mouth to say something, but I didn’t let him speak. “Because my family’s honor was destroyed eight years ago.” I raised my voice as I walked up to him, unleashing all the anger I had boiling inside of me. “Because I don’t know what to hate more: the fact that I’m a Granger or the fact that your family is the reason I had to leave the damn country.”
He stared at me, speechless. I balled my fists and looked into his eyes, preparing for his response. I expected him to yell back, to justify that he had more cause to be angry with me, to tell me he thought it served my family right to be blamed for his parents’ deaths.
Instead, he took a step forward, narrowing the gap between us. He gently took my fists into his hands. The gesture made my hands relax ever so slightly. “Rosalind. I didn’t know you felt that way. I’m sorry you had to go through that. For the record, I don’t believe that your family was responsible for my parents’ deaths.” He lowered his eyes, his gaze focusing on our hands. “I will admit that I haven’t forgiven the people who murdered my parents, but… Rosalind, you have no idea how much this has been killing me. I care about you and I’m tired of avoiding you simply because of our families’ names. I want to spend time with you without having to constantly check if anyone’s watching us. I want to tell you that I love you without having to worry that a Granger would probably rip out my throat for saying so. I want-.”
“Wait,” I interrupted. “Did you just say you love me?” This was happening way too quickly. I mean, this was the first time that we’ve talked in years. There was absolutely no way that he was confessing his love for me at this very moment. I slowly backed away from him, trying to figure out whether he was being serious or acting like the palace playboy I heard he had become.
Instead of giving me space, he gently grabbed my hand to prevent me from moving any farther. He used his other hand to move my chin so that I could face him. “Rosalind Granger,” he whispered. I shivered when he called me by my full name. He stared into my eyes with an expression I had never seen him use before. “I have loved you for as long as I can remember. And ever since you went away, my love for you only grew stronger. I waited for you, hoping that you would one day recognize my feelings for you, despite what our families think of each other.”
~~~
I was speechless. I had no idea Leo felt this way about me. I mean, I was aware that he cared for me like a friend, or maybe even a brother, but as a lover? I never thought that day would come.
Noticing my state of shock, Leo quickly pulled away. “I’m sorry if I startled you. I guess I couldn’t help myself. I completely understand if you don’t feel the same way.”
I couldn’t take it anymore; I wrapped my arms around Leo’s neck. “Leo Crawford, you idiot!” I said, tears streaming down my face. “Did you really think that I wanted to stay away from you for all those years? I only agreed to leave Wysteria in order to protect us from hurting each other.” I sniffled. “I’ve missed you so much. And I’m sorry I’ve been so horrible to you and Alyn ever since I came back to the palace.”
Leo stroked my hair as the tears poured out of my eyes. “Hey, it’s okay. Here, take this.” He broke out of our hug to give me a handkerchief from his shirt pocket.
I dabbed it around my eyes. “I was just scared that something horrible was going to happen if we saw each other again,” I confessed.
Leo shook his head. “You don’t have to worry about that anymore. Plus, you’re the princess now. I bet you could officially declare that the Crawfords and the Grangers are no longer permitted to be enemies.”
I chuckled. “I suppose you have a point.”
“And while we’re at it,” Leo added, “Why don’t we just start over again? Not as a Crawford and a Granger, but as Leo and Rosalind.”
I nodded. “I’d like that.”
He beamed at me. “Very well, then.” Leo extended a hand towards me. “The name’s Leo. It’s nice to meet you, Miss-?”
“Rosalind,” I said as I took his hand. “But you can call me ‘Rosie.’” We firmly shook hands as if we were meeting each other for the first time.
“Actually,” Leo said, pulling me closer. “‘Rosalind’ has a nice ring to it.”
I rolled my eyes. “You’re such a dork.”
“And you’re such a hothead,” he teased back.
Just then, the grandfather clock struck midnight. I jumped slightly at the noise, which prompted Leo to protectively place an arm around me. “I should probably get back to my room before someone realises that I’m gone,” I said after the chiming stopped.
Leo nodded as he put on his glasses and coat. “I can walk with you, if you’d like.”
I accepted his offer, and together, we tiptoed out of the library, leaving Romeo and Juliet on the table.
To be continued...
