don't use a nonstick pan i'll kill you

trust in god of your choice with a metal or cast iron pan

this is for 2 sirloin steaks abt 8oz in size each

need: - 2tblsp of unsalted butter (have more ready if need be) - 2-3 sprigs thyme - 2 pinches rosemary - 2-3 cloves of garlick depending on size - salt and pepper

melt butter in pan. add aromatics. don't cook aromantics p sure thats illegal. while waiting for it to go up to medium high heat (abt 7 out of 9) salt and pepper both sides of steak. lay it in the butter baybee.

**FOR A 1 INCH THICC STEAK ON A STOVETOP ON MED-HIGH: medium rare: 4 mins each side medium: 5 mins each side medium well: 6 mins each side if you're new to cookin steak i wouldn't recommend going under 4mins per side. these are general guidelines and the heat of your stove, your pan, and the size of the steak will change these cooking times. adjust as necessary. remember overcooked is always better than undercooked. if you go for rare and have valleys in the steak that don't get a cooked/singed edge, don't eat that corner. i'm serious! you can eat red meat rare because bacteria cannot penetrate the fibers of the meat unlike the far more porous chicken. but the surface? that's playin dangerous baybee.**

be brave tip the pan a little bit so the butter collects in that side, take a spoon and spoon it over the steaks as they cook. be brave again and realize you didn't need nonstick because when one side cooks enough it will effectively not stick to the pan. (note: enough does not mean done.) flip the steaks. repeat the time on the other side. i use a timer. no shame in it.

ok. steaks done. turn off the heat, transfer the steaks to a plate don't fcking touch them this is called resting. while the steaks are resting like little babies prepare the rest of your meal; pour a drink, pull the potatoes out of the oven or someshit, set the table, etc. minor things! ok for real you're done enjoy.

can omit: rosemary. thyme is the more important aromatic here. if using salted butter salt your actual steaks a little bit less.

overall cooking/kitchen time: 15-20 mins. (i was able to cook both steaks in one pan so note that it may vary if you cook more or can only fit one) i'm srs. ofc i'm just referring to the cooking time of the steak and not any side dish but it is very quick and relatively easy. if ur budget affords it or you see nice steak on sale, the flavor's good i promise. granted that i already have all the other ingredients at home, i found a 2pack of sirloins today for ~$8.70 which is about 4.50 dollar a steak. will this always hold true? no! work with ur budget, u know yourself better than i do <3

oh and the quicker you wash your pan after dinner the easier the caked on stuff is to wash off <3 even if u just have energy to put dish soap and warm water in it, doing it sooner will save elbow grease later k love u

Favourite time of the year: My go to answer is autumn. I kinda hate summer because I hate the sun and heat but I like not having as much rain. I sit outside a lot but during this time I usually wait till it's late so its colder out. During autumn, the temperature is just right, the sun isn't intense and the breeze is perfect UURRR🤌

for anyone who wanted to know that garlic chicken recipe thing <3

what u need!!!

chicken breast, literally as much as u want but i usually use like a regular six pack of them

bww parmesan garlic sauce, one bottle should be good but i use it quite liberally

minced garlic

the process! im tellin u this is so easy

get ur crock pot! depending on how big it is/how many ppl ur feeding u can switch around how much meat u use

take that sauce and pour it into the crockpot to cover the bottom of it, dont be afraid of using too much tho the more u want the more flavor gets into the chicken its great

add ur chicken in on top! u can coat them with the sauce once u have them in there but ur gonna be flipping the chicken around occasionally while it cooks so its up to u!

take a decent spoonful of minced garlic and pour it in, its gonna mix into the sauce but it just adds more flavor!

then just turn ur crockpot on high and cover it up! theres not a specific time that it should cook for but its a few hours, check it occasionally and make sure its cooked to ur liking!!! =D

THATS ABT IT i usually make it with mashed potatoes and eat them together but yeah!! garlic chicken!!!

holy shit . its a sunday evening and im somehow SO FUCKING HAPPY. like. nnothing even HAPPENED today i just had A GOOD DAY IN GENERAL this is incredible. like. i watched a nice tv episode and saw a funny video and played some minecraft and hollow knight and watched a fuckin crazy jrwi episode and woke up before the sun and felt the wind and watched the sun and heard the birds and. man. and tomorrow i know i have school and thats not even ruining my mood at all. because i have history. and my history teacher is nice. and he wont mind that i havent done any of the work because he gets it. and he explains things in interesting ways and hes kind and he never shouts and its the only class i not only feel comfortable asking questions, but where i WANT to ask questions because hes NICE about questions and i usually probably wouldnt care abt the shit were learning abt but he tells it like its actually REAL and not just a sheet of information. and im just happy. and whilst i didnt finish my codeflippa drawing like i hoped i would, i think ive come to terms w the fact i dont think i wanna ever Finish it, bc my creativity for it died down. i think ill just surround it in a few more flippa doodles n then post it bc ITSF FINE !!!! man. and like. i think ive remembered how it felt to be 5 again. when everything was SO EXCITING and i had no worries about the future because the only thing that EXISTED was here and now. and the world WAS big and scary but it was also incredible and interesting and full of light and colour and. like right now i can smell dinner cooking and for once im taking a moment to feel excited about that. because YES dinner happens everyday but !!! isnt it great that theres gonna be food soon !!!!!! and ill be able to eat it and i hope its smth i like. my sense of smell DID get fucked up 2 years ago BUT THAT ONLY MEANS DINNERS EVEN MORE OF A SURPRISE !!! it smells vaguely of HOLY SHIT HOLY SHIT HOLY SHIT IT SMELLS LIKE THAT ONE CHICKEN DISH I HAD A LOT LIKE 5 YEARS AGO it most likely isnt that but ica nt belive i remember what that smells like . and like !!!! right now im listening tot he celeste soundtrack AND ITS SO GOOD !!!!!!! and MUSIC SOUNDS SO GOOD !!!!! and i played minecraft today and i tamed a dog called. smth. i havent named it yet. and a cat named smth toast related bc i was rlly hungry 4 toast and then i saw it. and i found out there r 3 seperate villages all really close to my base and i built a farm with potatoes and carrots and wheat and i mined for ages and realised my sense of direction in minecraft maybe isnt as bad as i thought it was because i spent like 2 hours in a cave and got utterly lost, but still knew which way west was. and i played a little hollow knight and didnt do too much but got across greenpath because i started a new save yesterday where i did all of crossroads. and if i play more hk later im gonna complete greenpath (or atleast what u can do b4 any other areas). and i saw my cat this morning !!!! and he was so friendly and he went meow meow meow and i went meow meow meow. and i just watched the new DW episode and !!!!! it was rlly good !!!!! ofCOURSEit had its moments of :/ BUT THAT DW FOR U IT ALWAYS HAS ITS :/ MOMENTS but it was SO good !!!!!!! and i love life sm rn and i can hum along to celeste music and my room is a good temperature and. my face ghurts bc ive been smilng so much. but im happy ^_^ and who knows how ill feel later tonight but what matters is that RIGHT NOW i m so in love witht he world :3

re: the tags on my last post, because I want to talk about it actually and don't have anyone to talk about it to atm, I've prrrobably eaten the same meal about 4/7 days a week every week for the last six years of my life just because that's when I earliest remember the routine my memory sucks. and like it! it is french fries. I like fries. there are other things I will eat. sometimes I have things on the side. and other specific meals when we have to have proper meals. but. epic samefood routine moments am I right gamers. to the dismay of literally everyone around me I adore being neurodivergent actually and have no desire to learn how to eat normal people meals, and I also enjoy talking about being neurodivergent :]
