One of my biggest pet peeves is the justice league being labelled as " The Avengers of DC" and its like. No? The avengers are law enforcement. The Justice League are volunteers
friendly reminder that Neteyam is a well-adjusted kid who has a good relationship with his parents, that he tries his darnedest to be a good warrior because he genuinely looks up to his dad and wants to be like him, and that the idea that Jake and Neytiri are "forcing" him to be perfect, that they "stole his childhood" or that he's "not allowed" to be a kid, etc. are all pure fanfiction with little to no evidence in canon thanks bye
In the canon in my mind I ignore all the deaths and revivals and retcons and pretend that Jason was the only one to die because every time they kill another batfam member off only to revive them later, it loses its meaning in general, but especially because it's kinda like a slap in the face for Jason's arc every time it happens, as well as for why his relationship with Bruce became so strained. Bruce's grief from losing Jason is one of the most defining arcs of his character. Going from Professional but Warm to Cold and Distant and almost Brutal, being closer to the 'No killing' line than ever, only to be pulled back into the light and forced to open up again when Tim came around.
It goes unsaid that it's defining for Jason, Red Hood, ect. How his views on the afterlife would've changed, how his value of self was affected and relationships strained, how there's likely gaps in his memory.
I hate that every time they do a cheap kill for shock value it completely overshadows the trauma and affect on these characters that was caused by Jason's murder, that deserves to be explored, and that I personally want to see them actually, properly reconcile and heal from.
I would say Damian is the only other member to actually die but it was during his childhood with the League, and I doubt it happened only once. There was a headcanon somewhere about how he had brown eyes but they turned green because of the Pit and the family didn't realise Damian had ever died until they found old baby pictures of him and saw the colour change. I personally really like that idea too. So essentially they didn't know until much later.
Anyway, that's the Batfam storyline headcanon in my mind.
There's no way any anti who throws the "go file your taxes" insult is actually an adult, right? 'Cause an adult would know you literally only file your taxes once a year and only at a like really specific time of year usually :/
about a Malaysian-Chinese girl who’s half spider-demon, just trying to keep her head down and survive high school
when she accidentally kills and eats a man in front of the most popular girl at school, they strike up a strange friendship and she starts to learn more about herself and the supernatural world
Can you imagine losing your best friend and deciding not to save them, knowing that you have the power to? And not only making this decision once, but day after day for the rest of your life? Being aware that you could go back at any given moment, and still persistently choosing not to? Can you imagine ever moving on? Living with yourself? Going about your day with the knowledge that not only did you let them die, but you're also continuing to let them die at all times by not doing anything? Can you imagine not going insane?
the thing is, there's a point at which pining just becomes a sort of self-harm, and that can actually be a really interesting angle to write about, the reasons why someone might cling to a romantic attraction that they believe is hopeless to the point that it hurts them, digging the wound open again and again instead of letting it heal
(and what happens then, if the attraction is finally reciprocated? what do you do when you GET what you've wanted for so long that the wanting itself has carved itself in your heart? is it good? maybe. is it EASY? well.)
So the armanlou woah it is absolutely insane how their symbiosis is quite literally symbioticing and it is the body language in both of them that makes it. I see louis with his arm around armand trying to snuggle in closer armands arm is leaned up against his space louis is quite literally on the verge of sitting on him. Like they have a whole couch and they need to be in each others vacinity like THAT (knees touching and all)
the motions as louis is hypnotic in ways of how he does move armand is hypnotic in ways he does not. Louis is oh so graceful even in his cattiness he has that type of flowy nature that you cannot stop to look at--animated in his art. Armand is very still statuesque yes hypnotic to see the small ways he moves but even more entrancing to see how he does not move--statuesque in his art. (Humanesque [as louis is the most human vampire] hypnotic attraction vs Alien hypnotic attraction)
The height in the way directed. The framing always allows for Louis to be shorter--Louis is not in the forefront of it. (Yes a blockade between Louis and Daniel) The space itself also presents us these image of two beings illuminating in the light vs daniel surrounded by greys to the point of hes gray himself (oh yes his shirt blends in with the greys around him... rather than w/ louis-armand who's colors pop out in the warm background)
also 🚨👹the groan 👹🚨 featured nearing the end of it
literally nothing more bizzarre than seeing someone loudly denounce you as a terrible opinion haver that is corrupting the fandom with your inaccuracy (laughs) and then checking their profile and they..... literally say the exact same things you also made multiple meta posts about. and you both agree with each other. bro u good? lol
