Hello Halo Hello! I have returned bleh, bleh bleh! I saw a sequel request things is open and I've been thinking. Can I request a part 2 of the one shot Vopey? Where the Sully's react to stranger things? Only in this one, Jake, neytiri, Tonowari, ronal and the Metakiyan kids join in on the reaction too? Like the kids are just about to start up season 2 and the rest are curious about it.

Vopey: Far away monsters

“Alright kids, time to come home” Jake calls out to his kids just as vopey was about to insert the season 2 disc of stranger things.

There was a collective choir of disappointed sounds. Followed by many begings from the kids, desiring to watch more of their new interest.

“Come on, its getting late and tomorrow we have to wake up extra early” Jake tries to reason with his kids. Only for another wave of moans and groans.

“Why? What is going to happen tomorrow?” Vopey asks.

“Skxaw’nung and his family are coming tomorrow. They are staying with us for a few weeks” Lo’ak says. His whole body lying down on the floor as his way of protest.

“That means we won't be able to watch season 2 for a looooooong time” Spider comments, sounding disappointed. This caught Jake's interest. “Season 2? What were you all watching?” he asks.

“Stranger things” All of them said in unison.

Oh how a wave of memories and nostalgia hit him like a pack of bricks.

“Stranger things? Damn, I remember watching it for the first time. I was about tuk’s age” Jake remenices back on his childhood. Quickly all the kids huddled around him, surprised and curious wanting to know more.

“Did you watch the whole thing?” Kiri asks, eager to know more of her new favorite subject.

Jake scratches his head, trying to remember, “last I watched was season 4 I think, I could be wrong. It has been such a long time, I barely remember some things”. But in his mind it clicked, he knew what the kids were trying to do. With a playful smirk, he says “But that is for some other time. The longer I talk, the more I stall and the more late you will be in bed. Come on”.

The kids gave, telling spider and vopey good night as they all left to their home back at the village.

“You think the metkayina kids will like the show?” Spider asks as he and vopey clean up the place. Vopey hums at the thought.

“I should be the one asking you that since you know a bit more about them than me” Vopey replies as she stacks up the pillows.

They continue to clean up before bed. Thinking about how it will be when the reef na’vi arrive. Would they be allowed to be near the sully kids? Or stay away? It would be nice to invite them and show them some cool things they dont know about.

“And these are our friends, Spider and Vopey” Neteyam introduced to the metkayina kids. Tsireya looked to be more excited, seeing spider again and seeing a new face. Ao’nung was more hesitant, he barely tolerated spider back at his home. And meeting another sky demon was annoying. Roxto on the other hand was just as excited as trsireya,

“Hello, it is so nice to meet you!” Tsireya speaks to vopey in loud, slow ,broken english. This made vopey blink a few times.

“Don't torture yourself, I can speak na’vi just fine” Vopey replies in perfect fluent na’vi like it was her first language. Which in a way, it is.

“Oh” Was all tsireya said. Her ears lowered down a bir and her tail stopped moving. Feeling a bit sad. It didn't go unnoticed by vopey. Immediately feeling guilty, she adds, “It is ok, I thought it would be easier for you if we spoke in your mother tongue”.

It made tsireya ease up more.

Spider and vopey join the sully kids as they take the reef kids around their forest. Showing them the plants, animals, and areas they often visit.

“And that is pretty much it, from the east to the west, and from north to south. Any questions?” Lo’ak says as he and the others finished touring the reef kids around. There was a lot to show and no shortage of activities to do.

“Yeah, what do you demons do for fun?” Ao’nung asks a bit snarky. His sister and friend tries to shush him. The sully kids were ready to defend their friends should any insult come out of ao’nung’s mouth.

Spider and vopey looked at each other and muttered some stuff in english. The sully kids placed their input in English as well. The metkayina kids who do not understand much are left confused and hate being left out.

“Hey, you can speak in na’vi! What are you saying?” Ao’nung asks/demands. Both human kids turned to him and grinned.

“Well, on days that are not suitable for adventure like rainy or cold days, the sully kids and us stay inside the human base to watch human entertainment” Spider explains. This caught Tsireya’s and Rotxo’s interest.

“What kind of entertainment?” Rotxo asked. This made spider and vopey grin.

“No” Ronal said sternly. All of the children groaned in misery. The metkayina children asked if they could partake in human entertainment activities only to be shut down immediately. Even with Spider and vopey explaining what it will be, still shut down. Ronal was glaring at the two with no hate but certainly not taking a good liking to them.

“We have come to make ties with the Omatikaya, not with sky demons” Ronal states as she slightly glares at the two humans. While ao’nung was settled with her response, rotxo and tsireya were not.

“Please sa’nok? These sky people are part of omatikaya. See? The way they are dressed is identical to the na’vi here” Tsireya pleads. Before ronal can respond, Jake beat her to it as he walks up to the group.

“Much to your dismay Tsahik Ronal, these two sky people are part of the omatikaya clan. As they were born and raised in the clan” Jake informs the metkayina tsahik. Mo’at and neytiri who were beside him confirmed his statement.

Tonowari soon joins his wife as he takes in the information.

Vopey then quickly flashes them a smile, “Tsahik ronal, if I may. Despite the terrible experiences and stories you have heard of sky people, me, spider and the others that live here are not evil. Yes many were evil and cruel. But I assure you we see this world as our home. Allow us to show you the type of entertainment we have. Nothing will hurt you I assure you”.

Tonowari and ronal were thinking it over in their silent conversation. Their children secretly hoping they would say yes.

“Very well”.

To give everyone a seat to see the stranger things show, a movie night took place outside. Using one of the massive caves to fit everyone, the kids and science guys were quick to set up the massive screen, speakers and the projector.

Ronal, Tonorwari, and everyone else had the best seat in the caves as the rest of the clan got settled.

Jake and Neytiri snuggled with each other as they got comfortable near their kids. The sully kids themselves having a body pile with snacks around, and the metkayina kids being in the center of the body pile.

“So we just sit and watch a white sheet?” Rotxo asks, a bit confused. Kiri chuckles lowly and replies, “You could say that. It is what we will see on the white sheet that will be fun”.

Norm prepares the dvd player and presses play. Letting the projector display bright colors as sounds echo around the cave giving it a surround sound effect.

"8?!" All the kids shouted in unison as a new character enters the screen. The power of illusions and running from the police was a perfect way to capture everyone's attention.

"I knew there were more! I knew it!" lo'ak grins happy as he now knows his small theory was confirmed.

"Screw vopey, you should be called Vol '' spider suggests playfully. Vopey cackels and shakes her head, "no it doesn't hit the same".

"Madmax? Who is that turd?" Tuk asks when her favorite character, dustin, lost his record some someone else at the arcade.

"Language tuk '' Neytiri gently scolds, as she too is invested in the new show. "Who is madmax?" Neytiri asks quietly to jake. He leans closer to her ear, “long story” Jake answered.

“Damn I bet I would love to play one of those arcade games” lo’ak says woefully. It looked a lot of fun as the kids play different kinds of games and so do the background characters, Spider pats his back in comfort, sharing the same sentiment. “Same here bro, same here”.

Tonowari was still a little confused but oddly enjoys seeing how human children were like. Free of doing what they like, not thinking twice and seems as they are siblings at arms. Was oddly cute in his mind.

Ronal on the other hand was still trying to comprehend that is what humans were like a long time ago. The style of clothing, language, the behavior, so vastly different then what she remembered.

“Im betting on lucas” kiri says, “Dustin, right tuk?” rotxo says, tuk nodding rapidly. “Let the shipping war begin” Vopey whispers to tsireya as they giggle. Neteyam however made a face of discomfort, “Billy doesn't seem to be a good brother however” he comments. And while ao’nung so far hasnt voiced his opinions, he secretly agrees with neteyam,

“That Joy woman, she is amusing somewhat” Ronal comments, neytiri took notice of that. “Indeed, a protective mother she is” she adds.

From what Jake notices, both his mate and ronal seem to be more attached to older characters who are parents as well. And Jake is no different, he can see himself a bit in Jim Hopper. Perhaps as more episodes go on, things will get more interesting.

“Will you big ass simp!” Ao’nung groaned but was quickly shushed by his friends. Tonowari heard him and blinked a few times, was his son learning how to speak like the sky people? That could be a problem, but that is a problem for later.

“So he can somehow connect to another world?” Ronal asks. The more scenes of will having flashes of the upside down world, the more she is curious of the darker side. It was a whole new concept, how can one world function alongside another? It was so strange and unheard of.

“I don't like that demon” Tonowari speaks his thoughts as Dr. Owens made a few appearances. Jake chuckled, “There will be many that you might not like”.

On screen when the four main boys appeared in the ghostbusters costumes, Jake felt an immense hit of nostalgia. There were so many references in the show, memories just keep coming back to him. And tuk can't help but love the costumes.

“They look so cute~!” she squeals. Bobbing her head to the classic theme song and muttering a bit of the lyrics. Tsireya can't help but laugh at how silly the boys looked. In her mind she imagines lo’ak, ao’nung, neteyam and rotxo wearing those similar outfits. It was a funny thought.

“What has got you laughing?” Lo’ak asks, a giggle escapes tsireya’s lips. “Oh nothing, just had a funny idea” she answers with an honest smile.

Neytiri was brought back to her time at the school she attended. Remembering the time when Grace explained the holidays from Earth, one of them she liked was halloween. To see the boys and the overall environment of people decorating and seeing how it really is like. It became her new favorite scenes.

“Uggghhh how much more kid drama do we have to see?” Spider groans, lo’ak and ao’nung agree. “I want to see the monsters” Ao’nung says, almost in a whiney manner. Kiri shushed them again, slightly glaring at the boys, “come on guys, you will see them”.

“What was that?” Tonowari asks as Will's drawing of a monster was shown. It spooked him a bit. While the drawing was black, it gave a creepy aura and the mood music didn't help it.

Ronal however was more annoyed when Billy tried to run over the four boys and screaming at the top of his lungs. “Has he lost his mind?” Ronal says, mostly to herself. Billy’s behavior was now more familiar to her version of how humans behave.

Tuk had a small frown, “poor max, having to deal with an idiot like him”. Neteyam rubs her small back, “I am sure it will get better”. He won't say it, but Billy is someone he wishes he will never be like. A young adult acting like some lunatic with what seems like murder in his mind. A terrifying combination.

“Now we are getting somewhere” Lo’ak says, grunting. Hopper was connecting the dots of the odd drawing with the VHS recording of Will staring into the sky with an odd outline of the same monster. Tsireya was shocked and soaking in the new revelation.

“Is he also connected to the other world?” She asks, getting more excited, “it seems like it with his moments being frequent” Lo’ak answers. “It would make sense since he stayed in that world for a bit didnt he?” Neteyam adds in.

A little theory was beginning to form with ideas and remembering certain moments from season 1. But later on, a collective gasp was heard when Dustin puts a small creature into his turtle tank.

“That motherf-”

“Tuk”

“Sorry”

Vopey and the others were freaking out in silence, “Wait wait! Its not a poliwog, it's a bit different” she points out. “What is a poliwog?” rotxo asks, “watch” was all he got.

“Either way, he is an idiot. What if it gets bigger and tries to eat him?” Spider says, feeling more and more annoyed of Dustin making one dumb choice after another. “And look, he brought it to the others. He is either going to die or become brain dead”.

Tuk heard spider and silently protested that her favorite character won't.

Once dart grew his legs, a few were ready to gag at the horrid display. “What is that thing?!” Ronal shouts, feeling utter disgust by the new form of the small thing. It was a horror in her eyes, and to know it was only a baby, she can only imagine what its final form would be like.

Kiri was paying close attention to the new episode will was having. The sky being wider, and the shadow monster doesn't look all that far from where Will is at.``It looks like it is daunting him. Or almost as if it wants Will to see it..” she mutters.

When the monster inserted a piece of itself into Will’s mouth, dread followed. “Oh no! What is it doing to him!?” tsireya shouts, hiding her face on lo’ak’s chest, not wanting to see the rest of the scene.

Ronal does the same, feeling sorry for the young boy. Tonowari felt scared. Such a massive thing, and the poor boy has no chance to run away. “Hasn't he been through enough?”

“Ooooooohh he is so dead” Spider teases, the reveal of the tank bring broken from most likely dart. “That thing is growing without stopping” Vopey adds. “Not the kitty-AAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!” Tuk screams when dart shrieks while expanding its head. “A baby demigorgon?!” Vopey shouts rather excitedly.

“Such a horrid thing!” Tonorwari glares in disgust. Yet also relieved he doesn't share a planet with that thing.

“I find it intriguing,” Neytiri comments, admiring the little thing. Which Jake turns to her, questioning what she views as cute. “It ate an innocent animal” he says, neytiri shrugs, “it is an animal itself no?”

“Will is either possessed or part of a hive mind” Tsireya theorizes. Took a moment of silence, everyone including herself were surprised that she concluded something like that. She carries on, “think about it, he hates the heat, prefers the cold. Explains of odd memories that don't belong to him. And he is walking around chest naked. It makes sense to me”.

Lo’ak whistles out impressed, which tsireya blushes a bit. “You are catching on very quick tsireya” Vopey compliments.

As it goes on. Hopper and joy piece together the odd drawings Will made. And tsireya quickly catched on. “They are underground, the roots. It is what is causing the plants to rot in an awful way. Will is telling them the answer!” Tsireya explains. Clapping her hands, understanding more of the situation.

“Nah, what if it is part of something else?” Ao’nung was quick to deny his sisters expanding theory.

“I dunno ao’nung, look '' Spider points to the screen where hopper was digging a big hole, discovering some gross goo and a tunnel underground. Lo’ak gave tsireya a high five/four as her guess was correct.

“Well he is dead” Ao’nung says deadpanned, looking at hopper being tied by the wines of the upside down world. But his statement didnt land very well when Will and others went to rescue hopper from his near death experience.

The scene continues when the Hawkins yellow jackets burning the vines but at the same time Will began to shake and feel the burning pain. “I knew it!” Tsireya squeals. Good she was right, but bad because she is witnessing the poor boy’s pain.

“Weird how I am hating him less and less” Kiri comments as she sees Dustin and Steve bond while throwing meat in a train track to look for dart. “It is call character development, some people go through it, and others dont” Lo’ak grins knowing the subtle message he meant to ao’nung.

“Yeah yeah shush I’m taking notes' ' spider interrupts lo’ak as he writes down steve’s secret to his hair being L’oreal quality.

As the scene goes on, kiri can't help but grin, “sorry rotxo, but it seems lucas is winning” she whispers a bit smugly. “Anything can happen, it is not confirmed yet” Rotxo hold out hope for his new favorite character.

“Whatever you say,” Kiri shrugs.

As the show proceeds, tsireya grins non stop, “I was correct! Again!”. Owns explains Will's connection to the creature and other organisms of the upside down world. The pain they feel, the child feels it too.

“I swear! You catch on so quickly!” Spider says, not in a mean way, but in an amazed way. “Maybe we should show you other things tsireya” Vopey says.

"YEAAAAHH!" The sully and human kids all cheered as eight and eleven showed on screen together. "I almost forgotten about her" Tuk says, vopey nodding in agreement.

Vopey, kiri, tsireya and tuk were leaning forward. Unknowns to them, so was ronal and neytiri. All of them paying extra attention to the sisterly themed episode.

“They are most likely going to work together” Tsireya silent shrieks, her tail swaying while not meaning to but was hitting lo’ak in the face.

“Oh no doubt” Vopey replies, her eyes never leaving the screen

Jake couldnt help but chuckle as Neytiri was also doing a similar manner. Hey eyes wide and tail moving. It was a cute site he doesnt get to see so often.

Tonowari huffed in an amusing way, while Ronal’s tail isn't moving, her ears definitely were, giving away how invested she was.

“I can't look '' Ronal hides behind tonowari after seeing the bloodshed the now called demidogs are creating. Death left and right from the creatures Ronal has come to hate. And Tonowari, who had come to favor Bob, was distraught to see his death come so soon.

The creature's shredding and killing bob was an unholy sight for their eyes. Sadness was all they felt. Sorry for the poor man who was innocent and finding love.

“He might-”

“Tsireya, you know we love you but ssssshhh, because at this point, anything you say comes true” Ao’nung kindly shuts his sister up. Lo’ak scratched the back of his neck, not really defending nor denying the truth.

Pouting, tsireya stays silent as she watches the rest of the episode

The last episode. Everyone was getting anxious, the final battle between the massive monsters and the humans. Who else will die? Who will live? Will everything be the same?

“Who cares about Mike and eleven shipping!! Get over it!” Vopey shouts in anger as the scene dragged on too much for her liking.

“Screw them, that billy guy needs to DIE” neteyam frowns in disgust as bill was shown flirting with an older woman who was also a mother to one of the main boys. What goes on in bill’s head is beyond him.

“Huh, madmax is starting to make sense now” Jake mutters as he sees the max girl stand up for herself.

“Eeeeeewww!!” Tuk feeling grossed out as the misty shadow leaves will’s body and out into the open world. “At least he is free from it, right?” Rotxo asks but no one answers him. All eyes glued to the screen.

While dustin was saying goodbye to dart, really no one cared as they wished for that monster dead.

“CLOSE IT!! CLOSE IT!! END IT!!” Everyone was cheering for eleven. Screaming at the top of her lungs, everyone felt what she was feeling. Seeing the gate to the upside down world close. The cheering rising as it intensifies.

“He looks so cuuuuute!” Tuk gushes as she sees Dustin rocking a new hairstyle. Kiri slammed her hands down, “YES! Rotxo you owe me now!”. The scene of lucas and max kiss made rotxo shed a tear of his debunked shipping.

“Elven looks so pretty” Vopey admires how feminine the girl looks at the dance. Wearing a pretty dress and styling her hair. But quickly she and tisreya gasped in unison as eleven and mike kissed. Squealing like pre-teens.

It seemed like it would be a nice happy ending. Ready to close the chapter. But silence was the only sound as everyone saw the last few seconds of the show, The view turning upside down to see the upside down world. And close and above was the giant monster. And the credits rolled in.

Everyone clapped and began to chatter about their favorite moments.

Tsireya, ao’nung and roxto were sleeping peacefully in their hammocks, smiles and dreams fill their minds.

On the bigger shared hammock, Tonowari and Ronal were wide awake. Sleep not reaching their eyes. “It is like Jake Sully said. It is not real, and it is very old. We shouldn't worry about it” Tonowari says to Ronal as a means to comfort her. But also comfort himself.

Ronal couldn't help but cuddle into his broad chest, wanting to rid the monsters from her memory. “Yes but…they all looked terrifying. And many suffered from those disgusting monsters” Ronal whispers. Tonowari gently kissed her on the forehead and placed his arm over her. “Yes, but those monsters are far away. We are safe, and they are not real”.

Safe to say, they didnt get a wink of sleep.

Aaaaaaaand that concludes part 2! Hope you all enjoyed this one. Had to go a bit deeper to understand and implement the important stuff. Until next time! See ya!

are you more or less likely to like the percy jackson show if you have adhd?

TL;DR at the bottom

this whole idea came about because i was seeing people complain about the pacing of the show and i was so confused because i thought the pacing was perfect and then i thought maybe it's because i have adhd and so of course i would think the pacing was great and so i ran a poll to look at the results and here are those results

important things to note

a) i have adhd (diagnosed)

b) i study a stem degree

ok here we go

short answer

statistically no, but i disagree (i'll get to it)

longer answer

i did a poll comparing if you have adhd and if you like the show, these were the results (and here so you can see how i wanted people to answer)

(yes i voted, my opinion also counts)(and yes, there are flaws in the design but i only had 12 options and this was mainly about adhd)

and idk about you but looking at those numbers i can see a few things

number 1: most people like the show, 87.8% in fact

and if you take out the people that didn't care, it's 92.9% of people who did care aka a lot

quick stats rundown

for everyone with adhd (thats the first 6 options) 3% didn't like the show

for those with other neurodiversities and not adhd, it was 12%

yeah, thats 4 times higher (it works out at a whole 2 people but again, limits of the poll)

ANYWAY, i ran some statistical tests (don't stress, i don't understand them either, i will not be focussing on them)

first, chi squared (compares expected values for each option with the actual values i got)

yeah that number is small, like very small, like 2.8 quintillionths

but i ran it in R and got a very different number

and oh lookie here that's a p-value about 0.05 and so we must accept the null hypothesis (basically that yeah, that's expected)

which makes NO SENSE but whatever, the computer tells me it's that

enough of chi-squared, i also ran a z-test (i googled what to do and apparently this was the right test, idk what it does ngl)

i didn't run this one in R bc i have no idea how to do that

but the p-value is again, about 0.05 and so accept that there is no significant difference

BUT I DISAGREE

ok i don't disagree with the stats but i disagree that there isn't a difference

it doesn't take a genius to see the difference

3% of people with adhd didn't like the show but 12% of other nd's did like-

come on that has to mean something

so i ran a chi squared test on just the adhd data and...

1.9 octillionths

wha-

so did it in R and got a warning saying it probably wasn't accurate (it's probably the 0) so i ran fishers exact test (idk man thats what i was told to run by the internet) and got this...

so errrrrr yeah

apparently the same goes for the adhd data to which i can kind of get but also dont when

0.6% of people didn't like the show and were diagnosed as an adult but 1.2% didn't like the show and were self-diagnosed, with almost the same number of votes (it works out as a 1 person difference)

and no one who was diagnosed as a child disliked it like WHAT?!?!?!

also no neurotypicals disliked it, love y'all for that /gen

idk, i think the sample size is too small to run accurate tests, that or im doing it wrong which is a very high probability

so whilst statistically, the answer is no, i'm seeing a pattern emerge

but i am a scientist so i cannot say yes or no which SUCKS bc i see a pattern and i want to know MORE but tumblr doesn't have a great mechanism for polls so i can't ask all the questions i want to

TL;DR

the stats say there's no significant difference and so i must concur even if i don't want to

the show was amazing and i'm very excited for season 2 for reasons i don't want to spoil for people who haven't read the book (but go read the books they are just as good)

sjdsjsd sorry to be that person but what are your thoughts on adrinette's development throughout the season?? it's so wild to me how their relationship evolved sm in just 11 episodes

it IS wild!! Especially after watching them just make insane heart eyes at each other for 4 seasons before this!! Im proud of them. look how far they’ve come :’)

I’ll admit tho that I do have some mixed feelings lol. Because tbh I actually really love the status quo of miraculous ladybug. I know everyone has been itching for adrinette or another side to officially get together for years, but I always just loved the dynamic of each side as it was originally. dont get me wrong, im Thrilled to see adrinette saying I love you and holding hands and being the cutest couple ever 😭 and it always made the most sense for adrinette to be the side that dates prereveal. Im happy for the development! But at the same time I do miss adrien pining for ladybug. When I see ladynoir onscreen together now they’re just so cute and theyre great friends and partners and they’ve left the drama of s4 behind which is nice bc that was hard to watch dhdnd. But at the same time im like aw I want him to be in love with his lady! </3 and ive been waiting for a ladrien interaction to no avail 😔

It’s really interesting how they flipped/reversed the love square briefly to have marinette pursuing chat noir and then she flipped back pretty quickly while adrien continued to pursue her as marinette. There’s been so much love square development this season that it gave me a little whiplash in the beginning lmao. if u have been following me for a while h probably know im a big marichat fan. So obviously I was losing my mind over all the marichat this season. I was always rooting for marichat interactions but I was never delusional enough to think we’d get THAT lmao. so ofc I was ecstatic! But at the same time I was like wait! No, not like this! Bc I was never rooting for a love square “reversal” so much as a LS “expansion,” if that makes sense. Like I wanted marinette to fall for chat and adrien for marinette, but I didn’t want them to fall out of love with OG crush. I was hoping for the dramatic “oh no, im in love with two people!” thing and them having to reconcile those feelings and then at the reveal they’d realize they’d fallen in love with the same person twice. I’ve just always thought of adrien being in love with ladybug as kind of a defining character trait for him, so it’s sad for that to be seemingly gone, but also i dont really believe it is? maybe just suppressed atm bc his love for Marinette is taking priority.

Man I probably sound whiny and entitled rn complaining that my favorite side of the square got so much attention and that adrien is openly in love w marinette now, which ive wanted for a long time lol. I dont mean to come off that way!! Im really enjoying the adrinette and the love square development! it’s just going differently from how I imagined it would so im trying to stop pushing my expectations on it and just enjoy what the writers cooked up for us. im excited to see what happens next!

4 WEEKS LATER

You place the last box into your small house. Well, more like a flat. You were renting out the rooms just above a record store. So you had a new job and a new house. But you were back where you belonged. You smile sadly, knowing your parents and brother were so far away. Being away from Hawkins made you realise how much you loved it here. How many friends you had and how good you were at your subjects. You couldn’t drop out, not now. Not when you were so close to finishing school. This was your last year after all. You let out a sigh, excited to go back to school and see Alice again. Although you had said that you were possibly moving back to Hawkins you didn’t say exactly when or if you would for definite.

Another week passes, and you sit in your English class. She walks in, squealing as she sees you. She runs over, hugging you tightly “How have you been? It’s been way to long!”

“It’s only been a couple of weeks”

“A couple of weeks is a long time!” you both laugh. She hugs you again, just as your teacher walks in

“Settle down now people. English won’t teach itself”

“I’ll talk to you properly at lunch, ok?” she nods and smiles, sitting next to you and holding your hand, excited to see her best friend back again.

You’re next lesson you don’t share with Alice. History. You sit sketching in your notebook as your teacher talks. You hear the door open but don’t look up "You’re late. Go sit by Elizabeth please” she carries on talking. You move your bag off the chair next to you. You hoped sitting here would mean that you would be less likely to get people sitting next to you, but alas. You notice some ringed fingers pulling out books from a bag. You turn and see Eddie sitting next to you. Confusion fogs your brain as you turn and look back at your sketch. “Now I encourage you to talk to your partners about this. I will give you all 15 minutes to complete the list of questions I have set out for you” she says as she hands each student a piece of paper with various questions on it “You may talk and ask me for help as well” she goes back to the front of the class, sitting at her desk as the students start to chat to one another. You turn to face Eddie. He looks at you, shock covering his face as well.

“I thought you’d moved away”

“I thought you left school” he looks bitter as he chuckles

“I failed so got held back a year” you nod. That would make sense. He is a year older then you in the academic year, even though you were born in the same year. “You aren’t in... Canada?” you shake your head, reading through the questions and starting to answer them

“My parents and Michael stayed there. I said I wanted to complete school down here though so they bought me a small apartment. I’m nearly 18 so it isn’t too much of a problem” he nods, also getting his paper and looking at the questions.

“I’m glad you’re here... you can help me answer these”

“Likely more clever then me though” he smiles at you as you both go through the paper.

At the end of the lesson your teacher speaks up “Now, I want you to get to know your history partner well. As this will be the seating plan for this year. So, I have an assignment for you all to do. I want you and your partner to create a speech about a famous historical figure. Do your own research, and be ready to present it to the class. You have 2 weeks” she smiles at you all “I will let you have 5 minutes to discuss with your partner, then you may go to lunch”. You turn to him

“This weekend, come round my place. We can do a full weekend of research and stuff so that it’s over and done with, ready for next week” he nods slightly

“So what, that’s the...” he counts in his head “12th on Saturday right?” you nod, grabbing your bag

“Yep. I’ll see you at 11″

“What’s your address?” you grab a small piece of paper from your bag, scribbling down your address onto it. Handing it to him and smiling

“See you tomorrow dude” you smile at him as you head to lunch

The rest of the week is normal. You go to school, then go do a few hours at work, go home, eat and sleep, then repeat the next day. You are exhausted by Friday. So much so that the knock on your door Saturday morning wakes you. You grumble as you answer the door “Hey, well you look like shit” Eddie says. You grunt at him, giving him the finger as you walk back into your house, him following and shutting the door behind you. “Are you ok?” You grunt again. “You’re going to need to be more elaborate than just grunting at me” you roll your eyes, facing him and sitting on the sofa.

“I’m ok. Just tired. Having weeks off where I was doing nothing and now I’m doing school full time plus a part time job. It’s exhausting” he nods and sits next to you

“Have you only just woken up?” you nod. He nods slowly, standing up and going into the kitchen. He goes through your cupboards before letting out a small ‘yay’ as he finds a bowl. Grabbing the box of cereal on the side he fills the bowl up. Grabbing a spoon from the drying rack and bringing it over to you, placing it on your lap. You let out an annoyed groan. “Eat. Now” you glare at him, taking a spoonful and biting it as sarcastically as you can. He smiles and pats your head “Oh you’re such a good girl for me”

“Fuck you” you say between mouthfuls. He grins

“Nice work outfit by the way” you look down, seeing your waitress uniform still on. You groan loudly, shutting your eyes before looking at him.

“Please pretend I’m an organised human ok?” he laughs as you finish your food, standing up and taking it to the kitchen “5 minutes and I’ll be out” he nods. You go into your room, shutting the door you ditch your clothes. Putting on clean jeans and button up shirt, tying your hair up in a high ponytail as to hide how greasy it looks. You go back out, smiling and doing a twirl as he claps

“Well done. You were ready for me this whole time” you laugh and sit back next to him. Then sadly look over at the books you got out from the library that are sat the other side of the room. He chuckles as he stands up, going over and bringing them to you.

“Why weren’t you in school this week?” he shrugs, grabbing a book and flicking quickly through the pages.

“Who are we researching?”

“I dunno. Who’s an interesting person?”

“I dunno either”

“The English monarchy always fascinates me” you gasp with excitement, grabbing his arm “we could do the Russian Tsars”

“The Russian what’s?”

“Tsars? You know. Rasputin and stuff” he looks baffled as you go over to your book case and grab a book, bring it back over “The Tsars are basically Russia’s royalty. They got killed off for a variety of reasons. But, Rasputin is the guy that is the most fascinating to me. They attempted to kill him several times by shooting, poisoning and beating. But they drowned him in the end” you place the book down. He nods

“Sounds good to me” he grabs some paper and the book you just put down, starting to read through the notes.

A few hours go by, you have written down your notes. Your stomach lets out a deep growl, making your cheeks turn red. “I think that’s a sign we should stop and eat”

“But I want to carry on” he looks at the time, chuckling

“It’s coming up for 5:30. Come on, I’ll cook for you” you frown at him as he places his book down. Going to the kitchen he searches through your cupboards. You follow, watching him as he finds some pasta and pans, starting to cook over your oven. That’s when you notice the shirt he’s wearing. You chuckle

“I can’t believe you actually like it”

“What?”

“The hellfire club symbol I made”

“Oh yeah” he looks down at his shirt “It’s such a good design. Me and the others wear them constantly” he smiles, going to stir the food. “Why did your brother not come down and join you?”

“He stayed in Canada for college. They do the course he wants up there. Plus mum and dad are there for work. I was the weird one in wanting to come back down here” he nods

“You said you were turning 18 soon” you nod

“In October”

“You doing anything special for it?”

“Well, I was going to have a big party with all my friends but considering they all still hate me I’m thinking I might just not do anything”

“You need to do something for your 18th!”

“What did you do for yours?”

“I had all my friends round and we drank and played games”

“I might do that. Well, me and my one friend”

“I’m offended”

“Why?”

“Am I not your friend?” you laugh

“Fine. Me and my two friends”

“Better” you both laugh.

“I might just have a giant fuck off party though and invite everyone. Regardless of social standings in school and stuff like that” he nods, turning to face you and smiling

“I just can’t believe I’m older then you”

“Only by a few months”

“6 months to be precise” you laugh and nod. He motions at the food “it has a little while to cook. I’m going to go and have a smoke” you nod

“I’ll come and keep you company” he nods and you both go out, he stands on the top of the stairs and you stand in the doorway. He pulls out a lighter and a cigarette. Placing it in his mouth and lighting the end. You fold your arms, starting to shiver slightly. He furrows his brows slightly as he smokes

“Are you cold?”

“No I’m wimpy. I’ll be fine” he shakes his head, keeping one arm out the door with his cigarette he grabs his coat that he placed on the coat rack. Placing it back in his mouth, he drapes his jacket over your shoulders. He smiles at you as he stands back outside, you shyly smiling as you put your arms in his leather jacket. “You know what would look absolutely amazing with this?” he shakes his head “a denim jacket over the top. Like with pins and stuff on it. True punk style” he nods and smiles

“That would look good. I have a jacket at home but it’s quite old now, the sleeves are coming off”

“Don’t need sleeves. This has sleeves to keep your arms covered” you rub your arms. He nods, pulling his lighter out again to relight it. You do grabby hands at it, he chuckles and hands you the lighter “Have you ever done this thing?” you put the lighter on, the flame licking the top of it. You wave your hand over it, feeling the heat in your fingertips.

“Jesus” he mutters as you hold the flame in front of you

“It doesn’t hurt” he raises an eyebrow at you “if you do it quick enough you don’t burn” you show him your hand “see?” he nods, waving his hand quickly over it, then letting out a small chuckle

“That’s kind of fun” you nod, handing him the lighter back. He places it in his pocket, snuffing out his cigarette and going to the kitchen again, serving up two plates of food “Bon appetite” he hands you a plate as you both go and sit in the living room.

A few more hours pass, you both spend a while on your project. You stretch, you’re back hurting from being hunched over for so long. You look at the clock “What time did you need to be back?” he looks at the clock and laughs

“Apparently not before midnight”

“Sorry”

“It’s fine”

“If you want we can finish this tonight and you can stay round” he looks at you

“Are you sure?” you nod

“Saves you going back when it’s past midnight” you nod “Or do you just want to sleep now and finish this tomorrow?”

“Probably that. I don’t know how much more my brain can concentrate” he smiles “Sorry” you shrug and smile at him

“Umm, you take the bed, I’ll sleep out here”

“Why don’t we do this true sleepover style and both sleep out here?” he half smiles at you as you nod at his plan, going into your bedroom and grabbing some blankets and cushions. “Shit I forgot to turn the main light off” you stand up again, going over to turn it off. He laughs before you do

“I forgot you were wearing my jacket. You look so small in it” you chuckle and place your arms out to the side, the sleeves hiding half of your hands.

“I would give it back to you but its mine now” he laughs as you turn the light off, going back over and lying down. The gentle light from the lamp being the only source of light in the room. You hold your hand up, creating a shadow on the ceiling. He chuckles as you make it look like a dog, him copying you and pretending to chase you with his dog. He grabs your hand, making fake eating noises as you laugh, his hand then holding yours, interlocking his fingers with yours. Hi it's 4 am and the state of star wars animation has pissed me off so hard that I woke up 2 hours early.

I am SO FUCKING SICK OF THE CLONE WARS. Every single time a new spinoff is made the more I've grown to despise and apathetic towards all of its characters. This 15 year old show is continuously beaten to death and whatever was good in what frankly was a mediocre show is never used meaningfully again. Because it's all given to ahsoka.

Every single thing is given to ahsoka. I don't have any reason to like ahsoka anymore because of her over exposure just tries me now. Even at the points I do enjoy her gets overshadowed by everything that's been going on in the past 4 years with star wars. And now these characters are finally given the attention they deserved years ago...I just have to ask why do I care?

Yeah barris is interesting, but it's just so null to me since they're only NOW talking about her when that's one of the first things that should've came up in a clone wars spinoff. I don't give a shit about the final season, I have no reason to be invested in the bad batch. What does peak my interest is too little too late.

And I think the clone wars animation just needs to die. This art style - I DONT CARE HOW GOOD THE ANIMATION IS - is falling apart at the seams as we're constantly seeing the clash of old models and new models in the same room. They can't even render people of color or aliens properly with this style.

Thrawn doesn't look like an alien anymore.

And I'm going to talk about the other half of tales of the empire. Why the fuck is Morgan only getting shit NOW. AFTER SHE WAS KILLED IN THE FIRST SEASON OF AHSOKA. They literally were pulling shit out of their ass for that show regarding her and now they're back peddling to explain what the fuck was going on in that show. this isn't necessary, you had the opportunity to flesh her out but you didn't. So why should I care now? And I'm not excited to see animated thrawn again because this is in tandom with ahsoka. They didn't do him justice by showing how much of a threat he was in ahsoka, and I know they're not going to keep that up here. Thrawn is a fun villain but they amazingly missed everything that made him memorable.

I've been having thoughts about the state of this series film area and it just makes me want to ask. Is this meaningful? Does this add anything that's game changing? Or does it serve just explain things that people forgot to do in another show?

Andor is meaningful. It takes character's mentioned back stories and shows what they mean in the most horrifying implications possible. Cassian has been in this battle since he was 6 years old....not against the empire, but against imperialism. To him there was no difference between the Republic or the empire. A new view of this universe, a one showcasing the horrors of the wars.

Rebels is meaningful. It not only explained more of the horrors of the empire so younger fans can understand, but it also expanded upon the lore of the force which makes it more interesting and fascinates me endlessly. It's original characters all have unique traits and stories to them but they've all been wronged by war and the empire in more ways than one. They get focus and we're expanded upon naturally in one show.

What makes these shows meaningful? What does knowing how Morgan met thrawn adds to the extended narrative? How does this effect the universe and how we see it?

We don't know yet. But I don't have faith it will.

MLB Awakening review, which btw, will DEFINITELY CONTAIN SPOILERS

Okay so first off, gonna start with the things that I undeniably ENJOYED.

1. Duh. The animation. Everything looks. HEAVENLY. I love how they used so many vast techniques of lightings for all kinds of things and situations. I especially love how glowy they made the kwamis and miraculous look. I also love how expressive the kids are. Even freaking gabriel holy shit.

2. The MUSICALS. Literally y'all can fight me on this. I know some people hate that it's a musical, but personally I've never had much problem with it. (Though season 5 is a whole other situation and I was a bit skeptical) but the movie being a musical honestly excited me. The only downside is that freaking Ce mur qui nous separe SHOULD'VE BEEN HERE.

3. The lines and comedic timing. Gotta say. Is top tier. The watermelon bit? Loved it.

4. The lore and worldbuilding, though a bit different. I actually loved it. (There are some downside but I'll write that later) up till the reveal everything is pretty well done I'd say. And y'all the interactions is to DIE FOR (and yes, i especially loved how they talked and argued like actual 14 y.o apparently people hate this a lot? So i just feel a bit compelled to add this one in. And as much as i love the show, most times it honestly feels like they'reolder than 14, which again isn't necessarily a bad thing but I remember being surprised when it was first revealed that they were actually 14). And did y'all see gabriel holy shit. That man would've won in season 2 if his powers in the movie were put on the show

5. And i love, how both the show and movie are separate existence to each other. The movie is definitely a cute little fanfic that i get to treat myself to watch to again and again.

6. Hot take, I actually don't mind the voice change as much as I though I would. Lou and elliot sound heavenly and I live them for that

Now that that's all said and done. I must say there are some things that I prefer in the show.

1. Mainly. How their powers work. Now i dont think i have much problem with hawkmoth and chat noir's powers. Cause honestly the movie was able to highlight how dangerous the power of destruction is. And how a miraculous fallen to the wrong hand could be something so devastating, two 14 yo teenagers just, realistically at least, would not have been able to defeat said villain.

But ladybug's powers however. Well. I mean does she even have one at this point? Cause in the show her power is lucky charm and she had to use her wit to defeat the akumas. In the movie however she could just. Idk jazz hands and things are fixed.

2. What the heck happened to plagg😭. Like. I mean it was funny. But seriously why the fart jokes. It was kind of unnacessary i think. Show! Plagg would've patted adrien in the back for standing up to his dad

3. You can argue on me with this one. But i honestly think Adrien's headphones hust became his character trait cause everytime he appears he always has them on💀 it's not something I hate, but it really got you wondering and again, just a bit unnecessary.

Edited and a bit of an afterthought, but as much as i love the reveal. I do feel like the Adrienette side isn't developed enough for them to readily declare that they're immediately in love with one another. And hey not to be that person screaming about loving only one side of them. But it's not even about that really. Just that we've barely seen their interactions. And the last time they talked, adrien just found out that Marinette owns a bakery. So uh. Yeah.

*disclaimer that I am not attacking anyone who likes the things I don’t, literally no one yell at me*

7. ACOC - I feel like I’ve been pretty transparent that acoc just like isn’t my genre. Not a fan of lower magic, not a fan of fantasy politics, and it really stressed me out to a point where I really can’t watch it. I also just like got really annoyed at ruby and amethar post jet death and I’m still bummed we didn’t get more time with lapin. Solid Murph character this season, not his best work tho

6. NVA - also been pretty transparent with my thoughts about this season, I don’t handle horror well and I feel like it just got too convoluted at points. Sometimes it felt like it was just trying to do too much so some plot lines got rushed weird, but a lot of the pcs were super fun. Big fan of the Murph character this season, big fan of guys who are the worst

5. TUC2 - I feel like you specifically will be mad at me for this but like, idk it just doesn’t reach the highs of some of the other seasons for me. I liked a lot of it dont get me wrong, but a lot of Sofia’s plot line specifically to me just felt like a lot of talking. I know it’s all talking but that’s the easiest way I can describe it. I do not think this is a bad season, I like it a lot, I just like the others better, plus the roll 20 combat just wasn’t as engaging to me I’m sorry to say. 10/10 Murph character this season, I love my awful guy, he’s so New Jersey coded.

4. TUC - this was a tough decision for me and fantasy high’s nostalgia factor just beat it out, but genuinely TUC is such a beautiful story and I really really like it. I prefer this one to tuc2 because it feels much more on track idk and it’s just great to me. Kugrash’s story like means so much to me and I ugly cried the first time I watched the finale.

3. FH - An amazing start to a great show. I love high school settings I’m sorry I love teenagers (not that the fh teenagers are very teenagery but we can pretend) and it’s just so memorable to me I know the name of every episode and every fight in order this is what kicked off my dnd special interest it has such a deep place in my heart I adore it so. Riz Gukgak is the best character to ever be created.

2. FHSY - I like it better than the first season because of the deeper explorations of the characters and also Ayda Aguefort my girlfriend appears. Not much to say about it that I haven’t already said about fantasy high but I think it just benefits from these characters and their relationships already being set up. Once again, riz gukgak is the best character to ever be created and this was really his season

ASO - SEASON OF ALL TIME!!!!!!!! It’s so fun it’s so great I don’t care about the plot because I could’ve watched these amazing characters do just smash and grabs for like 50 episodes. The feeling of being back in the dome was electric, this was the first season d20 combats REALLY hooked me and just it was so laugh out loud funny and the rolls were so exciting and also it’s my mommy’s favorite season so bonus points. I only wish perfect television like this wasn’t tainted because of all the stupid slug arguments because oh my god people needed to calm down. I would be straight for Big Barry Syx

Im kinda am getting annoyed how much they r avoiding saying swk actual name. Like whats the point of him having a name if the show is not gonna refer to him with his name besides having moments of characters chastising him using his first name. Ie: just yelling out wukong.

Liek i want to here his various other titles besides monkey king. Its pretty weird how they’re solely just calling him monkey kings when hes just 1 of many monkey kings :/

Sometimes, i wonder if they knew that they could have kept swk w all of complex characteristics without having to downplay any of it so they can uplift mk. (Mk is such a amazing character dont get me wrong i do adore him. But it suck that in a equivalent exchange of a good character we get a frankly a worse vers of sun wukong.

Like not even other versions of swks ever acted(or granted made such repeated mistakes) like how lmk swk do. Like theres no one defending him within the shown(mk doesn’t count bc literally thats his teacher. But even he himself doesn’t realize he’s afraid of becoming like swk.) and as much as lmk writers, producer etc etc. want, they have to actually have to show swk’s side. Bc by the time lmk is over, its going to v hard to give him justice when almost everyone have a right idea of keeping him away bc how much hes a danger to everyone.

I also am a lmk LEMH hater forever. i just think he shouldn’t of have that type of importance to swk when hes just a dude w a pent up superiority/inferiority (he can have both bc yea)complex thats in a parasocial relationship to swk. Like sure he died and all but so did all the other demons in jttw. Hell he didn’t got the vore kill treatment like other demons like azure lion did.

But YEAH this is a pretty good summary of many things said before anon...in particular it's genuinely disheartening how Qi Xiaotian's experiences have brought him from a state of being excited at the thought he could be like Sun Wukong to now being terrified that he's destined to be like the Monkey King...but then again how could be not be. We're now 4 seasons in and everything just gets worse and worse for the little monkey lego man in large part because of the things his shifu did or failed to do. At this point even with the hints of the torture headband making a significant appearance, trying to defend or even understand SWK's actions in the present kind of seems like a fool's errand, and I genuinely am worried that no backstory Flying Bark gives their version of the Monkey King will provide a satisfactory reason for why he acts the way he does. As it is there's been a pretty consistent flow of popular fan works about the Monkey King getting punched & yelled at & portrayed as completely in the wrong, and well I do not see that ending any time soon given the events of canon material :(

As always I want to note that I'm fully capable of being too negative and pessimistic & forgetting the good sides of SWK's lego show character and that yeah obviously there's a lot of other characters running around with more antagonistic intentions (including perhaps this mysterious person who may be behind Azure Lion being freed as part of some greater scheme). But between this already firmly established characterization of SWK as a liar who's ideas routinely end in nothing but catastrophe for even those he loves and the show itself pretty clearly having little interest in including SWK in the story's adventures outside of an explodey ending or being a problem that needs to be dealt with because of his disastrous decisions (given how much he keeps getting shoved out of the plot), well...you can see why many people think this could easily end with even Qi Xiaotian thinking Sun Wukong is a lost cause.

Louis would be somewhat skeptical I think, but he's a very romantic person, so he'd probably welcome it after thinking it over. (he'd also be excited, he's always been attracted to Sylvari and their culture. )

Pyrs would believe you immediately; he heard Louis' voice in his Dream before waking. He didnt recognize it until he met Louis. His Wyld Hunt was vague and basically just "join the vigil, do stuff."

(Pyrs' Wyld Hunt & relationship to Louis is actually my little excuse to have a Soulmates story goin on :> i love soulmate AUs and fic tropes tbh)

Maelgwyn & Trahearne

Trahearne would not believe you. He's been in "true love" once, dated a bit awhile after, then Dragons Happened. So he both did not have time for it, and didn't want to grapple with the bundle of emotions he had to unpack because of wanting love in such a turbulent time. The general feelings of guilt for wanting some normalcy during a fight for your very own world. It felt selfish. (he would want to believe you though. he was pretty lonely for a long time, before gwyn.)

Maelgwyn would tell you to fuck off- he abandoned any ideas of soulmates a long while ago; when Jasmeen left, despite their parting being amicable. It would just hurt to hear that.

LOVE

7. What are their favorite things to do together?

Louis & Pyrs

DEFINITELY cute cafe or library dates. These two just adore being together. Eachother's company is all they really want, so they LOVE dates in places where they can just concentrate on eachother. If they can't go out, they love to just laze about together in bed or the window reading nook Louis adores.

Maelgwyn & Trahearne

Sparring together. (with zero homoerotic undertones) bounty hunting together. (also in a very not gay way swearsies) I'm just obsessed with the idea of these two being "battle boyfriends." They love fighting alongside eachother. They still go out to Gwyn's favorite secret oasis, just to relax together as well.

And, completely sincerely, sex. It's more than just physical satisfaction for the both of them.

8. Who’s better at comforting the other?

Louis & Pyrs

These two are VERY good at comforting eachother, but Louis worries more often, and Pyrs knows exactly what to say or do to help him calm down.

Maelgwyn & Trahearne

Trahearne is. He's very very skilled at reading Gwyn, meaning he can help him calm down even when he's unable to tell Trahearne what's wrong.

9. Who’s more protective?

Louis & Pyrs

Pyrs by a longshot. Louis' version of 'protective' used to be 'if it has to be one of us ill make sure its me' until Trahearne noticed during lws3, telling him to knock it off before he Actually got himself killed because of that habit. (In a much kinder, Trahearne-way.)

Pyrs however is classic protective, much more like "dont hurt yourself," "take care of yourself," "be careful love," kinda way. He acts in a very defensive role when they fight side by side.

Maelgwyn & Trahearne

Maelgwyn. With possessive seasonings. He's threatened more than one syndicate member stupid enough to threaten Trahearne's life to him. In a battle he will not let anyone get a hit in on Trahearne. Gwyn's the kind of protective boyfriend to "vet" people who need to talk to Trahearne (he has an excuse for this because he IS still Trahearne's bodyguard. he's been enabled in that particular setting. Even with trahearne being like "i love u so very much but you Can, in fact, relax for 2 mins babe.")

DOMESTIC LIFE

4. Do they have any pets?

Louis & Pyrs

Two kitties! They've had them since a few months after Primordus and Jormag's fall. They're still with them at Aurene's temple. Sugyn sometimes babysits them when she visits.

Maelgwyn & Trahearne

If you count ranger companions as domestic pets, then with Trahearne's cats they have like. 6 pets. Gwyn's tiger Paola, his griffon Glenn, his raptor Cricket, and Trahearne's cats.

06: Therapy, who's she?

"wait, it has 18 seasons!?" i look at the article on her phone.

"How do you think I feel, Wukong is everywhere. I can't go anywhere without Monkey King this, Monkey King that" Albino rat complains.

"wanna watch it and see how bad it is?" I offer, holding up the remote.

"How can I refuse that" Albino rat gets up from the chair. She sits down to the bed, she lifts me up and put me down on her lap, wrapping her arms around me.

I turn the Tv on and select Zetflix. I scroll through the options and after a bit I found it. I click on it and it begins playing.

The screen turns black and the narrator begins talking about Monkey King's origin.

a stone appears, it begin to slowly crack before it Burst opens revealing an animated monkey.

"Hey Albino, did you know Monkey King's origin story?" I ask my mentor.

"Well one, that info wasn't really public back then and two, do you think im interested in how that flee eater came into this world" Albino rat scoffs.

"oh right..."

A knock at the window catches both of our attention.

"who would be here at 12 PM?" Albino rat removes her arms from me so I could check.

"no idea, maybe it's Mei" I open the window to see no one. I look down to see a yellow rose.

I grab it and retreat back into my apartment.

"A yellow rose?" Albino rat grabs the flower from my hand and inspects it.

"Do you think someone left it there?" I grab a vase and fill it with water.

"ooorr you have a secret admirer" Albino rat jokes.

I put the vase down on the table. I grab the rose from albino and put it into the vase.

"I don't think it's an admirer, yellow roses symbolizes friendship. And secret admirers usually tries to win the affection from a distance but not friendship"

"You don't even know this person and you are in the friendzone" Albino rat chuckles.

I roll my eyes and sit back onto Albino rat's lap.

"I'll just buy some flower food tommorow"

"have a nice day" the worker waves.

"you too" I reply.

I walk out of the flower store and over the sidewalk.

"I'll buy groceries, while im out here" I think out loud to myself.

I accidentally bump into someone, making my drop my bag.

"Oh my apologies, let me help you" a soft but cold voice apologizes.

I look up to see a young girl, seeming the age of 12. She was holding her hand out for me.

With a bit hestitation, I grab it and pull myself up. A snatch my back from the ground.

"thanks" I turns around, ignoring my gut feeling that something was wrong.

I stop when I notice a missing poster of the girl, I turn back to see the girl gone.

I sigh "I need to get more sleep"

I walk out of the grocery store with a bag full with products.

some flies onto my face, blinding me. I grab and inspect it.

'hm, a shadow play. It's over a few days, it's worth checking out'

I look at the two figures on the poster. One of them reminding me of the mysterious stranger I found two days ago.

He had dissapeared before I woke up and he apparently stole my favorite hoodie. Jerk

I fold the poster and put it in the bag. I walk home, trying ignoring the intens alarms going off in my head.

I pull out my keys and open the front door.

"Albino, I'm home" I put down the bag.

I look around the corner to see Mei and Albino rat talking.

"What!?" I yell out.

I would caution people not to get super excited about having canon Buddie by the finale mostly because I dont think the writers are gonna shoot their shot if you will. My gut tells me we are gonna have 2 aingle guys, strong confirmation on Eddie's queer awakening and a single Buck. Maybe even a strong hint that will carry us through summer. But to me like any slow burn I think it will take a few episodes to become canon. Honestly I am all for it if I know it's coming..

But I think Ryan and company know its their golden ticket and they didn't spend 4 seasons getting us here just to wrap it up. It's all about the money. Although I would be happy to be wrong lol.

Hey Nonnie

I completely agree -the timeline would move too fast for us to have gone canon by the end of 5b and it would do such a disservice to Buddie itself as a long form of storytelling, but also all the other characters as well, because in order to get to canon in 3 episodes, we'd need to more or less ignore every other member of the firefam - and thats wrong on all kinds of levels - its an ensemble show just for starters.

Not to mention the fact that I agree - both men will be single, we'll get Queer Eddie, the audience knowing where its going (because Queer Eddie is more or less a confirmation that Buddie is happening!) and getting to watch pining Eddie and Buck working on himself for a bit as they continue to grow ever closer - that is far more satisfying than it just happening in the next 3 weeks - we've been building to this for long enough that a bit more waiting will make it even sweeter when we get there - I am fully expectant of it happening either late in 6a or early in 6b.

I think hinting that its going in that direction in the finale will be all we get because it will ensure people tune in to watch 6a to see what happens - which is what the execs want - as you say Ryan et al's golden ticket. they all want to make as much money as possible from it - and they are fully aware of the spotlight that will be thrown on them and the show when it happens - a Queer slowburn love story between two men in their 30's discovering they love each other - revolutionary, never been done before - it will be career defining and money making so they're is no way they will rush it.

we're just here for the ride and just think how much fun we'll be able to have over summer speculating in the lead into 6a - I mean they're going to keep it all under wraps - in the same way they've kept Ryan under wraps in 5b, but there is going to be so much analysis to do after these final three episodes - when we can sit with the season as a whole and look at it in detail and see the parallels, connections etc with more clarity!

I do of course get people getting a bit over excited at the prospect of Buddie canon and so getting carried away - its easy to do and I'm a bit guilty of it myself on occasion!
