the way Percy's friend group is literally -
4 monsters:
half-goat who's technically twice his age
one-eyed brother who's technically half his age
surprisingly lovely giant dog from hell
strangely devoted flying horse who can talk
and an odd assortment of people:
his mama
immortal lesbian who was a tree for a few years
scary buff girl who bullied him a little
autistic kid who radiates death and had a crush on him
nicest demigod ever whom he had a crush on before he... died
allegedly normal girl who now randomly tells the future
autistic girl who tried her absolute hardest to hate him then promptly fell in love with him. now they're soulmates
goddess of hearth

"Durge came back different", "Durge didn't really come back", "the person who Durge originally was is dead" are all good takes, but what if.
If Durge came back exactly as they were? The brain damage, additional trauma and memory loss are the big altering factors, but underneath that it's still them.
They didn't change drastically, their former self is not dead.
How about one single fragile mortal soul still keeping a hold on itself, how about Durge who was never allowed anything for themselves still retaining them.
How about Durge who has lost everything: power, memories, purpose, sense of self, still being themselves, despite it all.
How about not even Orin's daggers, tadpole and Bhaal combined being able to rob them of their core? How about all of that just revealed who Durge has always been underneath all those expectations Father dearest put on them?
How about: "After all this time, it's still you."

i think the whole discourse around whether or not cishet aro men are queer stems specifically from the idea of allo aros being hypersexual - and so the idea of an allo aro, specifically a straight aro man, draws to mind the idea of like, fuckboys, or sexist men who only view women as sex objects, etc. And that is likely why the idea of cishet aro men leaves such a bad taste in apparently so many peoples mouths
now, i’ve spoken before about how attraction =/= libido. i’ve mostly spoken about this in the context of being ace, where asexuals can still have a libido despite not experiencing sexual attraction. the confusion and conflation between attraction and behavior has been a huge source of frustration for me with regards to the popular idea of asexuality and how it has confused me on my path to figuring out my own sexual identity over the years
BUT. the idea holds true not only for aces who have high libidos - but also for allosexuals who have low libidos. the idea that to be allo aro is to immediately be some hypersexual fuckboy is just, so warped? just because you experience sexual attraction but not romantic attraction does not mean you immediately become some sexist pig who always needs your dick wet. like idk it’s just beyond fucking frustrating to see the way that people sexualize alloaros when they’re just - they’re just people. you would not assume what another person’s sex life or libido is if they were otherwise alloromantic allosexual, because your orientation describes the way you experience attraction, not your behavior and sex life, nor your libido. in the same way, being alloaro has literally nothing to do with what your actual libido is. so why are allo aros the exception? to try to divide the community and exclude them based on your assumption of their sex lives is just so fucked

I love this moment so much because Aziraphale knows that Crowley is the only one being who knows Aziraphale is able to lie and be wrong, and when Aziraphale asks for his trust, Crowley does just that.
It's stated time and time again that angels are trustworthy and are supposed to be good and righteous by the principle of being angels, but we know (and Aziraphale and Crowley know) that that's not how it works at all!l.
When Crowley trusts Aziraphale in a matter of pointing a gun to his head and pulling the trigger he does, not because they can do real magic or because Aziraphale is an angel and his word is inherently true (as it happens with Gabriel and Job's children). It is because Crowley has seen the good and the ugly in his angel, and he would still believe in Aziraphale even when the odds are against them.
They both know Crowley doesn't have to trust Aziraphale, and he still does 100%.
... And in 1942 Aziraphale is very aware of this. Oh, the joy of being known for who he truly is and still having his friend's trust and love even after everything that happened between them.

Maybe it's just me, but part of why I never really felt completely secure in being public about my own artistic endeavors was how... being proud of yourself in any capacity for any reason is almost a faux pas, if that makes sense.
I've noticed how it's almost expected to perform the air of humility, but is that humility? Is it humility to say, "Oh, I'm sorry for clogging your feed with my awful art" or anything to the effect of self-deprecation?
I think that's why I so often gravitate toward those who make "bad art." There's a sense of freedom that is only achieved with the level of hubris that being unashamed in the number of people who hate your art. I wonder, though, how many people don't hate the art as much as they hate that they can't chastise the artist into humility, into recognizing how "terrible" an artist they "actually" are?

Some of yall deeply underestimate how much some cis men are threatened by trans men and our masculinity. How theres so many cis dudes out there that want to rape us, thinking that will make us detransition. How many incels out there are mad at us for betraying womanhood and not sucking their dick. How much they want to force us to detransition, how much they want to kill us and force us into hiding which, to me, minus well be killing us since theyre smothering who we are for the sake of a status quo. We shake their fundamental understanding of the world. Its one thing for a GIRL to be a tomboy to them. They think its cute, like a baby pretending to be an adult. Its a whole other thing for someone percieved as a woman to try to actually be a man to them. They think thw fact we have the gal to assume we can escape their grasp, to escape the kitchen or whatever tf, means we're disrespecting them and trying to "destroy" them, rather than what it really is, us trying to be independent. We're the exact thing these types of cis men hate. Sometimes they tolerate (emphasis here bc im not saying they accept yall. Dont twist my words)trans women bc they fetishize them but they want to completely eradicate us becayse we threaten the patriarchy by virtue of deciding we dont need a man to take care of us, we want to be the man that takes care of ourselves.

this whole part...
this means Kaoru either has visited multiple times (individually?) and run into Akito OR when they go as a group Akito particularly gives him a disapproving look (gay) and asks him a lot of questions about Kyoya’s school life OR even if he talks to the whole group Kaoru feels they are targeted at him specifically and doesn’t like him

one super important detail about carver's 'pro-templar' stance is that he openly admits that he never saw magic as a threat before kirkwall. he can be petty and constantly annoyed by his siblings being all magical and special but he never thought of them as abominations who need to be locked up for everyone's safety. kirkwall is the reason he starts to express doubts and we know how fucked up the veil here is.
if he joins the order, he does that out of necessity but i'd say he's also that rare templar who's motivated not by fear for himself but by fear for the people he cares about and at least one of them is a mage. this city is full of demons and abominations and blood magic, situation here is a lot more complicated than in ferelden and there's also his not-so-almighty mage sibling who doesn't seem to be concerned about this. even though they can be killed by one of these things. even though they can become one of them.
also he desperately needs purpose and if he was never taken to the expedition he finds one and does so by his own choice. and for the moment he thinks it's the right thing to do but the order never helps him resolve his doubts. he's never proven wrong because there are still demons and abominations threating the city. he's never proven right because some things templars do are completely unjustifiable and straight up cruel. this is not the purpose he wanted. this is not the reason worth deeping the rift between him and his sibling even more than it already was but it's too late to quit just like that. it's not like he despised the templars. it's not like he didn't understand them completely. but the way he bitterly says "you don't understand this life. i didn't" to sebastian summarises how complicated his time in the order was all along

I can't believe that people freak out for some slur on a TV show and tits but let others post online the most ableist, eugenics and disgusting shit

is that post abt the frenrey piss kink fic
I remember the mob of angry children who used to lose their minds and start slinging death threats every time someone published a kink fic (or any adult content), even if it was something niche but totally benign like this and it was correctly tagged, but no. It appears there are 11 frenrey piss kink fics (thanks for making me look that up) and it's been a long time since I've witnessed a shitfit about any of them, thank God.
Editing to add: But yes, anyone who thinks "the frenrey piss kink fic" was the worst thing about that fandom was probably instigating infinitely more harm than they claimed the fic was causing and I hope they have since grown up.

it is probably cheesy af but i am always such a sucker for seeing moments where the combination of personality stats shine (especially when it is accompanied by the growth in team points/dynamics. the way i love making mason/morgan smile on non-bff & non-romance routes)
