Spoilers Ahead (HOO, TOA)

this is my tribute to Jason Grace. (Sorry if it’s not long enough for his awesomeness)

Jason was amazing from the day he stepped foot on this earth. He was the best little brother Thalia could’ve had, with the worst mother and I’m sorry for him. He got taken away from his life because of Hera. Now she expects him to be her golden boy. He’s trained vigorously and without break, but despite that, he still rose to praetor and started to change things for the greater good.

Then he was taken out of his home. His memories got stolen. Did he give up because of that? No. He truly was a hero. He went through many hardships. They had to free Hera herself. Despite him being resentful because she took his memories, he did it. He knew that the world depended on it.

He made sure to make shrines for every god. He took on the job that Percy had started. And his work had been put into action by Camp Jupiter. He also made sure to change the gods. He needed Apollo to remember. Apollo promised.

He’s so powerful, too. He doesn’t get enough credit for that. What he did on Caligula’s ship just before he died was astounding. He broke through his own prison, caused a tornado, and still was able to ride Tempest and try his best to attack Caligula. He suffered so many arrows in his limbs, before losing just because he looked away for a second too long. But he made sure he did so he could get the final words in and make them stick, “GO! REMEMBER!” The best end for a great hero like him.

Anyone who says they don’t like Jason, can go away. You clearly didn’t comprehend your reading. You clearly skipped over the important parts so you could get to the fun and carefree stuff. That’s not okay. No hate on Jason Grace for me. Not today. Not ever.

Rest in peace, Jason Grace.
