I have a question: Do you know if the series explains why Dr Dorado did not take his family to the United States? I am aware (as an Argentinian) that Eduardo and his father are a bit stereotyped but the choice for Mr. Dorado to leave his family in Argentina is a bit strange. Because otherwise, the only explanation I see is that his job was considered dangerous, so he decided to leave his family to prevent them from being hurt. (Sorry for coming straight to you with this question but I have a hyper fixation on Edu and you are the one I see the most in his tags 😅)

i like ur explanation ! i can see that being a reasoning, i mean we know that STAR labs is always involved in all sorts of stuff so …

the show has never given any particular reasoning for why Sr left his son with either his (or his wife’s) father (i.e Eds granddad). All we know is that Sr studied Zeta-beam tech for two decades and at some point moved to the US.

i don’t have one explanation set in stone, but here r some possible reasons he could’ve just went himself without his son (they’re not necessarily the most logical, just possibilities): either he felt like he didn’t want to remove his son from a place that he knows as home and had enough trust in the granddad being able to take care of him in the mean time. Considering Ed was young when his dad left, sometimes parents feel like they don’t want to remove them from an environment they feel comfortable with.

or if they would’ve moved, he’d either have to take the grandfather with them or possibly just leave him alone, which he maybe didn’t want to do and felt better leaving Edu behind with him too to give him company (doesn’t make it right but again parents can think like this sometimes). Also he might’ve thought sending money back to them might’ve been more fruitful than having the full family with him. Old people can feel very strongly about not wanting to leave their home behind.

Sometimes also with ppl who leave the country they don’t necessarily plan on just staying there, they return back (in this case to Argentina) frequently. And with the zeta tubes maybe this was something easy for Sr to do at first, but i can see this becoming less and less through the years (just something that i feel like can naturally happen especially with someone so consumed by his work like Ed Sr) and Ed grows more angry and pissed at his dad for being there less and less and that’s what prompts him to say fuck it and runaway to go to his dad.

Also we know that Eds mom is not in the picture (for unknown reasons, either leaving the family or because of death) so maybe Sr didn’t want to be around the place and people that might remind him of her as much and distance himself.

But I see this as unlikely cause despite all his shortcomings, Sr is shown to care very much about his son. I feel like a likely reasoning would’ve been something that started with good intentions but then through the years just didn’t work out as well as he hoped, prompting Ed to run away from home.

i also think something worth considering is he maybe felt the granddad would be able to take better care of Eduardo than him, because he knows how much work takes up his life and he wouldn’t want to be an absent father to a son who’s then alone most of the time in a new place and new environment. He might’ve reasoned to himself that it would’ve been better for Ed to stay home with his granddad who would be there when he needs him. And he would then try to visit when he can.

the logical thing would’ve been to take his family with him, but people often try to make things work out despite it not necessarily being the easiest or best solution.

so no the series doesn’t say anything about it, but i would sure be interested to know what reasoning they have :) thanks for the ask <3

don’t know if ppl have already said this but matsson’s US CEO will not be shiv. he never actually said shiv, only she did, and it just doesn’t make sense - mencken wouldn’t agree to work with a prominent democrat no matter what she says, and matsson is very deeply uncomfortable with the thought of giving shiv that much agency as she’s someone he can’t puppet the way he’d like (and also someone with no experience in the business world who is not only a woman but pregn*nt). neither mencken nor matsson respect roman anymore, even though they both liked him over ken on a personal level, but ken…. ken they could work with. and ken would 100% be down. he’d fuck rome, fuck shiv, fuck his fucking of the deal, and end up endorsing the deal as the US CEO. he wins, but it’s lonely at the top. pyrrhic victory etc. that’s the most obvious way i can see it going, but i’m hoping they’ll surprise me bc it feels just way Too obvious (classic last minute ken flip-n-fuck tactic, classic classic pyrrhic victory ending, etc)

hoping there will be something ab ken’s shit-on-dad plan from e4 — would be kinda disappointed if nothing came from that except for the one mention in e5 bc it just doesn’t seem super plausible to me that articles exposing logan’s abuse, the connor’s mon situation, etc. would fall by the wayside and not make a splash. like, unless they just took a super soft shit-on-dad approach that was basically j ‘his sons did his work for him at the end’ etc, it’s hard for me to imagine it realistically not having some impact and typically succession tries to stay pretty faithful to the media cycle etc

seen a lot of stuff ab how all these past skeletons (cater waiter, roman harassment, shiv silencing the cruise victim, etc) are going to be released from their closets but i’m hoping that’s not the case — succession just doesn’t seem like that kind of show. like yeah it’d be nice on a narrative, karmic justice, character arc etc level, but that’s not how life works. rich people get away with the shit they do and it does not come back to bite them. real life doesn’t have, like, a chekhov’s trauma that ends up coming back at precisely the right moment to be the most narratively satisfying — shit just… happens. logan dies offscreen on a plane in episode 3. there’s no arc, there’s no closure. that’s how it goes. so unless they find a way to work in those things subtly enough that it doesn’t feel forced or Dramatic TM, it’s hard to imagine it happening

have to put it somewhere but in the last 5 years 3 seperate groups of people have decided im the villain and never told me why just iced me out and isolated me and in 2/3 cases i dont think i actually /did/ anything i think its a mix of antiblackness, ableism, and that ive seen them/know that they hurt other ppl very badly.

group 1 was someone who i used to consider a best friend but who soft cut me off when i disliked a partner of theirs, then, when they decided to hate that now ex, they pushed for their ostricization and 'took me back' without apologizing. they refuse to make eyecontact with me and their partner now flatout ignores my existence, even though i literally was the olive branch for this friend to almost every community theyre successful in now (not that they owe me shit for that), and i think its bc im still close w another Black/mixed friend of mine who they hate now bc they called them out on their antiblackness (which they give excuses for why their nonblack ass can get away with it). this person notoriously throws people out and claims 'villain' when ppl get upset at how they treat others as so cruelly disposable, and ive seen it up close and personal even before it was me and i think that also plays into why they treat me lkke this now.

2nd group was my exes friends who only knew me when i was a self destructive alcoholic. i was loud and obnoxious and yeah i had shrapnel (never abusive), but they decided covid, year 3 of my sobriety, that id never changed, ramped up my exes resentment at me for the alcoholic years even after they said theyd forgiven me and were proud of how far id come, and were instrumental in the breakup if that 5 year relationship. even though one of those friends was literally also sober, they just couldnt forgive me for ever having been an alcoholic, i was just worse than all of them i guess.

3rd is a current happening. someone i knew from god 9 years ago, again who i invited into the community when they were new in town (see a pattern?) had their white friend LIE ABOUT NOT ONLY KNOWING ME BUT ME MAKING HER FEEL 'UNSAFE' (IVE NEVER MET THIS WOMAN), to kick me out of a discord all my friends are in, and when ppl challenged that initially, this person had the gall to say that i made them uncomfy, to the point for a while they wouldnt go to POC events i was at. this person who took the side of 2 white boys who isolated me at 19 bc one of them led me on then dated my ex bf (they didnt have to like me, i was FPing the guy, but the isolation and all my friends picking their side still sucked), and then this person went on to be sexually inappropriate and preassurey and crossing boundaries w multiple friends at this point. but i cant hang out where my friends r bc i make this person uncomfy. i think theyre scared id 'out' them as predatory or something (wouldnt w/o permission of vics obvi) and so they paint me as the villain first

and like if i did something wrong let me know so i can leave y alone and fix it (like i did getting sober going to therapy getting on meds ect) im invested in not hurting ppl. but i dont think i ever /actually/ hurt any of these ppl, i think they just benefit from me not being around and are willing to lie and exclude and ostricize to get it. and ik that sounds conspiratory but like. fuck.

Hey 🍀!! Ok so your update made me think a lot. Like really a lot and so I decided to give it some time, settle all my emotions and first thoughts. I read ch20 again and all your ask from yesterday. I am sorry but I have a feeling that OC should not go for another child. I am not accusing her I know it’s a big thing to say. I understand about her insecurities after pregnancy how her body change. (Complete support for all the people who go through body shaming issues). She says no one prepared her for that changes but now she knows those changes. 2nd pregnancy is going to do no good for her body and self confidence . It’s going to make more changes which she will be more insecure of. I know every one is different and handle issues and difficulties differently. But what makes her think she is going to be ok with her body after baby 2. In fact if she is not happy about her self how she is going to keep 2 kids happy. It’s not an easy job at all. And with Jun needing company that’s not the only solution I see. Like why not consider adopting then. (Again a big topic to discuss)

I also disagree with her wanting Youngi to chase her when she got the topic of divorce. It’s like she was threatening him with it. Clearly there was lots of miss communication between them because he thought she deserves someone who can give her more time more attention and just agreed. And like because of that they all three went to hell. (I also considering Jun here because I am sure it must have affected him when both his parents were going through tough times.)

Saying all this I still feel a soft corner for OC. No one is perfect. Does she want Youngi back in her life now. Like has she thought about it. I just want the best for this family.

whilst i do agree with you to a certain extent, loads of moms want to reach the amount of kids they want before they get back to working on themselves (physically). i think a lot of ppl just don’t want to go through the changes that come w pregnancy, go through all that work to get back to where you were, just to end up pregnant again and have all that work go to waste.

this is what its been like for yn. shes wanted 2 kids since forever. so i wouldn’t say she shouldn’t go for it just because the 1st pregnancy didn’t prepare her. i think these things come and go. sometimes you feel good about yourself and sometimes you don’t. that’s life. we’re human

but yn has always been fixed on having 2 kids. it was supposed to happen way earlier but things got in the way. (a divorce for example) so now she feels like shes running out of time

when yn looks at jun, she knows deep in her heart she would do it all over again with a snap of her fingers. it’s when she’s isolated, when she hasn’t seen jun in a while, when she’s alone, that these horrible thoughts and insecurities prevail. i think everyone can relate that when you’re alone with your thoughts, they can get suffocating

aot 139 rant bc i dont think ppl r understanding this chapter lmao

i’ve been seeing a lot of people hate on this chapter and call it a bad ending and everything so i’m here to break it down for the ones who aren’t understanding what’s going on and think it was a shit ending LMFAO

okay so first i think the issue is that a lot of people fail to realize that the way eren acted all throughout season 4 isn’t eren really, that is him putting his emotions at bay so that he can complete something that he laid out for himself for his friends.

eren from season 1-3 still exists, and that’s lowkey the eren that was talking the whole time in chapter 139— you can see the how he cares for his friends, you can see the desperation again, the compassion, everything in between.

so lets break down these panels;

panels 1-13 consists of the whole talk with armin. eren basically tells armin that everything that happened wasn’t by will, it was laid out for him, it was the path he needed to take in order to free his friends and free ymir.

think about this— this was destined for eren from the beginning. 

his plan wasn’t to have the rumbling destroy the whole earth, it wasn’t for any of his friends to die (he wasn’t even aware that some of them died), it wasn’t for anything besides for them to defeat him so that they can be free.

he sent a titan out to eat his mom because bertholdt dying would’ve fucked up the plan, he would strategically send memories down to his younger self, armin getting the colossal titan, eren telling mikasa he hated her, everything was according to plan— it was a part of the script that he needed to follow.

panels 14-16 consist of eren talking about mikasa. eren basically tells armin he doesn’t want her to move on form him, and he wants to live a long life with his friends and her. and that he doesn’t want to die.

people say this is out of character for eren— people don’t think that he has ever had feelings for mikasa, and it’s hard to see, i’ll give you that.

but people also fail to realize that relating back to panels 1-13, eren had something set out for him to do, the last thing he was thinking about was love. of course as a kid mikasa came off as overbearing, and she was, he had other things to worry about other things to accomplish— there was no time to reciprocate feelings. 

that doesn’t mean he doesn’t love her, because he does, and i don’t even mean so in a romantic OR platonic way. the gist is he loves her period, and her love is reciprocated in the best way he can.

and you have to remember that eren knows he’s about to die when his time with armin is up, he’s getting frantic and desperate— everything's dawning on him, he gets a little time to actually sit down think and talk about mikasa.

eren loves mikasa whether it be platonically or romantically, and that kind of hits him in that moment, and this is coming from someone who hasn’t always shipped eremika.

panels 17-21 consists of eren basically saying to atone for his “sins” it’a only right for him to die too and that armin will be the one to save humanity.

pretty self explanatory, but once again this was planned out, eren was gonna paint the eldians to be the heros, and eren did his whole mass murder plan for their sake, not his.

panels 22-39 eren completes his mission, the curse of ymir is broken, and im sure that at somewhat the same time that he was talking to armin through paths he was sending the same message of what he was doing to everyone else— since all eldians are connected through paths. that’s how they all found out and that’s why they all resonated with eren. it needed to be let know that he isn’t a bad guy, especially with real people running around thinking he is LMAO

panels 39 and onward, everyone moves on, they’ll live out their lives with the freedom that eren granted them.

this is mikasa’s character development, she’s finally able to move on and live her life without eren. she’s allowed to mourn, she’s allowed to be sad, hell— they’re about to have eren’s funeral, that’s one reason she’s there. 

i say this is her character development because the first time eren died she was ready to die herself, but now that eren has actually died she’s not trying to go out with him— she’s mourning, and she misses him, but she’s trying her best to live her life with the freedom eren granted her.

she grows out her hair again that she always kept short for eren. to me that says a lot albeit how minor that detail is.

i’m not gonna say eren necessarily got reincarnated as a bird but i’ll say that these birds we see in attack on titan represent eren, and that’s why the bird tugs on her scarf, it’s like eren letting her know that he’s still with all of them and that he’s happy that they’re happy.

it’s tragic, that our main character who sought freedom the whole entire time doesn’t get to experience it himself, but it shows how sacrifices have to be made, that shonens don’t always have to be about winning. that there are tragic heroes, and everyone has a story to tell.

attack on titan teaches you lessons, it gives you an insight on life— and if you let this ending ruin the whole series for you because you fail to grasp the whole concept, every character, and every plot element, that is on you.

so thank you, isayama for creating and sharing such a beautiful story, because this series will live in my heart forever, and so will eren— he’s such a complex well written character and it’s sad to see that not everyone can understand him.

His classmates knew something was up. Robotic demeanor was gone and instead, it was actually a part of himself as Kokichi that was showing through.

“Mechamaru looks happy nowadays,” Kamo noted.

“It’s relieving that he shows us a softer side of himself,” Miwa added. “Makes me feel happy for him.”

“I wonder what caused him to become this way.” Kamo was talking to himself but Todo took it upon himself to answer.

“He has finally found himself a Takada-chan.” Todo grinned. “Reminds me, I never asked him what his type of woman is.”

There was a moment of silence before Todo walked out into the campus garden to make his way towards Mechamaru.

Mechamaru didn’t notice his presence as he was watering the flowers.

“Yo.”

“Todo. Did you need something?”

“What’s your type of woman?”

Caught off guard, Mechamaru dropped the watering can. “I… I think someone who’s kind and cheerful.” Someone who’s submissive.

“Like I guessed.” Todo held his chin between the knuckle of his forefinger and thumb as he hummed thoughtfully. “You’re as lifeless as your puppet.”

Days passed until Friday came.

Kokichi talked to you almost every day and whenever he could. He seemed to enjoy your company more than he thought he would when the two of you first matched.

He woke up to your messages and went to sleep only after he texted you goodnight.

Today, he felt like his heart was going to jump out of his ribcage, he could hear his own pulse when it got too quiet and it was dead silent in his hideout… as always.

All he could think about was your date tomorrow. He had made sure to dress up Mechamaru nicely for the occasion and checked the weather report thrice so the date wouldn’t be ruined because of anything out of his control.

There was still something that made him extremely anxious. What if you didn’t like him? What if everything went terribly and you blocked his number?

He needed something to distract him from these negative thoughts.

Maru: Hey.

Maru: Going to sleep soon, I think.

Without even noticing the passing time, Kokichi chatted with you until he couldn’t keep his eyes open anymore.

He learned everything about you. From the earliest memory, you could recall about your first interaction with a cursed spirit to your latest obsession with an online game about cute animals.

His eyelids were getting heavier, he texted you goodnight and how he was excited to meet you tomorrow.

When he closed his eyes, this time he managed to fall asleep.

You pressed your phone to your chest and kicked at your sheets. The excitement was eating you up, the butterflies in your stomach wouldn’t calm down either. All because of someone you met online a couple of days ago.

It wasn’t something new to you to meet up with people you met online but this felt a lot different.

Previous times, you had used different dating apps or social media websites to make friends but this was the first time you had used a dating website specifically for people who knew the existence of curses.

Jujutsu sorcerers often found it hard to find someone they could click with because of their field of work but this website had risen up to popularity from day one. Your old classmates from your jujutsu college wouldn’t shut up about it so you gave it a go after their insisting.

Maru was one of the first people you matched with on the website. In his profile, he had written about how he wanted to find someone he could be himself with and date them.

That’s why tomorrow, you had to be on your best behavior so he could be himself around you.

You were twenty minutes early.

It wasn’t your intention to arrive this early but whether it be the excitement to meet up with Maru or not wanting to make him wait if your train was late-

Wait, those were all connected.

Letting out a sigh, you checked your phone. Yep, still twenty minutes. Once you put it back in your purse, your eyes scouted around the station. There weren’t any empty spaces for you to sit so you were standing by a meeting point next to the maps, hoping Maru would see you.

Although you didn’t know what he looked like, you had put effort into how you looked today so you could impress him. Deep inside, you hoped he would take notice of your appearance and compliment you but some men were just too dense.

From the way he had started texting you, he gave you the impression that he was one of those stoic and dense men but as you started to get to know him better, he turned out to be quite a friendly person. Very talkative and caring.

You pressed a hand on your cheek, you were burning up. Geez, were you really blushing this much because of him?

When you told your friends about this date, they had told you not to have too many expectations about Maru. They believed you were being catfished but it wasn’t possible, you didn’t want to meet him because of his appearance after all.

“Um, excuse me-”

Startled, you lifted your head to stare at a… robot?

You stepped away from its way, thinking that you were standing in front of its charging station or something. How long had it been since you had gone out? Had robots already taken over? Or was this one of those public pranks?

The robot was staring at you even after you moved away.

“(username)?”

You lifted your gaze and looked at the robot with wide eyes. “M-M-Maru?”

It nodded, “Mechamaru.”

No, it wasn’t a robot. You could sense cursed energy oozing from it. More like a cursed doll. Nevertheless, you were speechless.

There was a long pause before you spoke. “Ah, I...” You looked around as if you were searching for an exit and anxiously clutching on your purse.

Great, you were going to make up an excuse and go away. Just like he thought you would.

“I thought I was going to meet you, not a puppet.”

“I’m here,” he said, static sizzling noise coming from him was like nails on a chalkboard. “I just can’t be physically here because of my condition.”

“You could’ve told me about it first… ahh, sorry.” You sounded more annoyed than you would have liked but quickly covered it up by bowing your head to greet him. “Nevermind, I’m (name).”

“Are we going to use real names?”

“Well, I’m not gonna call you Megaman.” There was a smile.

“Mechamaru,” he corrected. After a short silence, he added, “Kokichi.”

“Nice to meet you Kokichi, I hope we can get along well.” You bowed yet again.

“Why are you being so formal?”

“It’s cuz…” You pointed at him.

“What?”

“Well…” You used both hands to gesture his whole body.

“If you say it’s because I’m a robot or anything similar to that, I’ll go home.” He sounded serious, or maybe it was because of the static.

You pouted and leaned forward on your tiptoes, “If I can’t even joke around then I’ll go home.”

“I thought you were looking forward to our date.” When you blushed at his words he spoke again. “You look cuter than your pictures.”

“Ahh, you really think so?” You started walking and he followed after you.

“I do.” He was keeping a large space between the two of you, whenever you tried to walk closer to him, he would move away but now when you were caught in the station with the crowd who were going home after work hours, you had to stay close to him.

You were being pushed against Kokichi thanks to the crowd trying to walk out of the station and he didn’t complain about it. Kokichi didn’t look at you, he thought about the things he read on the internet instead.

‘If you want your date to consider you as manly, you have to invest yourself to talk to her.’

“Your dress looks cute.” Kokichi came up with ‘the compliment her outfit’ route, he had seen men flirt before, he could do it too.

He stared down for a moment to see your reaction.

Bingo!

You smiled brighter than the sun, you played with your hair to give him a playful answer. “Thank you, I wore this just for our date.” Your eyes shined with small sparkles in them. “I really like your collar.” You pointed at his face, not too close, hesitant to invade his personal space. I’m here with his puppet not him, you reminded yourself.

“Thanks.”

When the two of you finally exited the station, you walked alongside him.

“Where to?” He nonchalantly asked while you were looking around the streets.

“What about karaoke?” You gave him an inviting smile, “It’d be fun.”

“Whatever you say.” He wasn’t sure which way you were taking. There was the main street and Kyoto's red-light district, of course, he knew you wouldn’t be going there. “Which street are we going for?”

You pointed to your right, “The main street, there is a karaoke place I know.” Your smile altered when you noticed how this time when you walked together to cross the street, it was close, your shoulder touched his fake biceps.

I'm not sure there is one tbh? I only watched history3: modc via gifs/clips when it aired so I wasn't that invested. and I've always skipped the kengkla parts in lbc. I joined the fandom when most problematic shows had already aired too so I knew to stay away from them. so maybe sotus or addicted? those were some of my first bls and... they're not the best lmao.

omg no wait you know what really scarred me? the novel to addicted. bc after I watched the show I wanted to know what happens afterwards and 😬 don't recommend that one.

3. Is there any bl that made you feel very single?

most of them? but tbh saifahzon in why r u? made me feel extra single bc they're just so gentle with each other and I want that someday. also wangxian in the untamed.

4. If you could change one thing from a bl, which one would it be?

that being said, I'm really excited about the cherry magic movie and to my star s2! since the couples only got together at the very end it makes more sense to me to have a s2.

10. a bunch of dramas will air soon. which ones are you the most excited for?

I'm not really informed about everything that'll air if I'm honest. I mostly decide to watch a show after a couple of eps have aired and I see gifs of them that intrigue me. I'm excited about kinnporsche though (is that even a bl?)! other than that I will probably start enchante and cherry blossoms after winter soon, but those are already airing

11. favourite underrated bls?

I think mr. heart is such a cute show! I also think that lovely writer has fallen under the rock a bit but that show was so good too!

too many... im continuing my lymond reread and then ive let toooo many holds lapse at the library 😬 i gotta go down and see what books have come in. i want to get back to the scholomance series!

10: Sci-Fi or fantasy? Why?

both is good! ive had phases where im more into one over the other but i like them both. whats interesting is when a book combines them! N. K. Jemisin's Broken Earth trilogy (of which ive only read the first 2 sorry ms jemisin) defies categorization in some Vv interesting ways!!

27: If you could change one thing about mainstream literature what would you change? (i.e. more diversity, better writing, better plot etc.)

jeez oh jeez... lets preface this w saying its me being very selfish and choosing what I personally would want, not trying to engineer some greatest good answer:

a character type i grew up on as a young robot enthusiast is "robot(/alien/other outsider) wants to understand humanity/become more human/etc". think data from star trek tng. and what i have grown into is a desire for "robot/alien/other outsider says 'fuck that actually' to humanity and its norms. become Less human"

that can get generalised more away from scifi/fantasy to "characters whose goal/happy ending lies not in becoming more human or normal, but in becoming Less human or normal". i want more chars who are weird who stay weird or get weirder! or someone who can totally present normal/charming/etc but gets a happy ending where they dont have to!!!!!

41: Do you own a library card? How often do you use it?

yes since i was 3, and a lot!

ebooks arent my fav but they r suuuuper convenient and i will sometimes when im bored just skim thru whats availble now and try interesting new titles at my fingertips! and we hav quite a good selection of physical titles too, but i dont make it out to browse those as much as id like

i have kind of lost control of my duedates etc tho... defs racked up some fines ooooops

pride and prejudice

cracked me up at 16 and still does now lmao!! i hadnt thought of myself as one for The Classics at that point, but p&p read so well to my modern teen eyes that it opened up a new world of "oh, i could like this kind of thing too! its not for ppl more cultured than i!"

you’re standing right behind him as he’s covered in blood over the body

all you say is “since when does the assassin do something morally correct?”

“when it benefits him.” he responds.

probably keeps tabs on you to see what you’re up to

every headline involving you “taking down another lowlife” catches his attention so fast

he wants a fight so bad

so he creates a plan

commit a crime so terribly that they HAVE to send you to take him out

just another amazing idea from hisoka!

so he figures out who you’re working for, and kills someone close to them, obviously leaving behind a trace so they have somewhat of an idea as to who he is, but still making it a hunt

he probably leaves a star and tear behind, something that only those who knew him would recognize

and so he watches you hunt him while he hunts you

you’re asking anyone and everyone if they recognize the star and tear, most people either having no clue, or recognizing it but keeping quiet about it in fear of what hisoka would do

eventually, someone says they know a person who draws a star and tear on their face — hisoka morrow

once hisoka hears that you know his name he is absolutely ecstatic, he probably reveals himself to you right after

“it has been so fun watching you search for me.”

“if you knew i was looking, why be a coward and hide?”

“there’s no fun if there’s no chase, darling.”

you guys battle it out, i imagine the fight is very close, but evidently you just can’t keep up with him

“you put up a beautiful fight…hmm, perhaps i’ll let you survive if you join me?”

out of breath and on the brink of death, he assumes you’re saying no

right as he goes for the finishing blow, you hold your hands up, and whisper through a mouth full of blood a small “i’ll do it.”

he has a huge grin on his face, so excited to have successfully “corrupted” you

once he takes you to machi so she can heal you, you both go on ur little killing ppl missions together cos what else does hisoka do lol

he realizes he’s in love once you finish someone off, a crazed look in your eyes, smile on display, covered in blood.

you and hisoka’s love is weird. but it’s intense, and it is real. just not...normal.

so they make you the bait

sorry i just want to cover all of our bases

you definitely have a lot of potential, you are just incredibly clumsy, and taking down the phantom troupe is something that requires plenty of people on the job

chrollo already knows you’re a crime hunter when he “runs into you” at a bar, as well as the fact that you aren’t working alone

but he entertains you, just because he’s bored lol

i can already picture you being caught off guard by how handsome chrollo is, because honestly im sorry who wouldn’t be

you kind of even forget you’re there on a job

but, when chrollo asks if you know about nen and what type of nen you use, you quickly remember why you’re there

you smile, “yes, i’m a specialist.”

he asks you to show him, but you decline

“i will lose it if i do.”

chrollo smirks, “smart girl.”

with that, you feel a sharp pain on the side closest to chrollo, and everything goes dark as you tumble into his arms

once you wake up, all the spiders surround you, chrollo in the center

“caught in the web.” you say, as chrollo’s eyes lighten up.

“precisely.”

“is there any way to escape a spider’s web?”

“prove to be worthy.”

there he went again, begging to see your nen so he could steal it

but just because you were thought to be the weakest link, didn’t mean it was true

“i mean, you’re looking at it right now.”

the troupe stares in confusion, and before chrollo can respond, one of the spiders falls to the ground, beheaded. (i can’t pick who so just pretend its ur least favorite <3)

the spiders stand there in shock

there were two of you.

the real you, free and unbounded, makes the clone disappear

“you said you were a specialist, but this seems to be a conjurer technique?”

“the speciality is that you can’t steal it. it isn’t exactly nen.”

this is the first time someone’s caught chrollo off guard, he has no idea what to do, i mean how did he know that this you wasn't a clone?

“now, i’ve heard once a leg is missing, there needs to be a replacement. what does the head think?”

you weren’t just a crime hunter, you were a double agent who wanted in on the phantom troupe

the moment chrollo realized your abilities weren’t nen, i think that’s when he fell in love

and we all know those books he reads...mf is a hopeless romantic who if in love, pretty much is absolutely obsessed

and boy is he obsessed already

of course, he is unable to steal it from you which is quite a drag

but, with you there, and your undiscovered abilities, the phantom troupe was basically unbeatable

something he wanted so badly

you protect him and he protects you. 

if any of the troupe questions you and your decisions, he defends you so fast

talk aboit your ocs right fucking now(any

hi we'll be using tis ask to talk about The Oracle (its/it).

Oracle is a thousands years old entity with the power to accurately see both past and (possible) future(s) . it has decided the best place for it to be is at a circus that is full of ghostbug clowns.

It used to be human sometime in the ancient greek times. while alive, it was an already very talented oracle, however it would keep predicting people's deaths and they all got fed up with its shit (convinced at this point that it was just cursing all of them) , so they banished it to a cave where it had 2 live 4ever. then it just kinda was like #watever man (turns into a ghost) and then started roaming around doing whatever (Well it was going around telling people "hey lol you'll die " n shit and did kind of become the 'grim reaper' of stories n shit) until around ~1800 whic is when Ring (the Ringmaster) (tall guy with a =-) mask face) started really establishing his circus. And oracle was like "damn lol that seems cool. i wanna hang out there."

I mean there is a bit more than just "seems cool" like. 1. oracle was getting bored just going around focusing on people dying n shit . tired of being the Guy who just tells u when ppl r dying. and this Circus was just. mostly Ghosts. so u dont need 2 worry about this 'wellnow i have to see whens the soonest theyll die." . 2. Ring makes bodies n stuff for ghosts (out of like. fabric and stuffing n stuff. like a plushie toys. they're made out of this as well), and oracle wanted in on this deal. 3. oracle could also see th future it would have in this place and got very attached.

see. Ring has like a million kids. Oracle gladly becomes their grandma. (ring in this process gets adopted by oracle which is funny. ring usually adopts Other Ppl . not the other way around.) anyways back 2 oracle it just goes 2 this circus becomes a fun grandma there:) It's very sweet to its grandkids (and will often encourage and help in their little funny pranks and mischief adventures) , and a bit rude to ring. someone has to keep that clown in check. when i say rude it's usually things like "Hey ring. before u make this god awful decision, why dont u think instead about when's the last time u slept. hm? how about u do that first and then tell me if what ur planning to do is smart. :) " (ring. is very stubborn usually hes got a good heart but can be so very stupid sometimes It has a little booth (tht travels around .. almostlike it teleporting lol oracle wat r u doing !) . inside the booth its like full of pillows n stuff , table in the middle where oracle will always have some tea prepared (And it's always something you'll actually like. and drink. :) ) . it offers future readings (it likes being cryptic n stuff about it tho) , looks into the past for folks (its more upfront and blunt about that sorta thing) , and therapy.

To view the future, oracle doesnt need anything. it can just. do that. it will have a crystal ball set up first as a gag for first time folks, and it will then Chuck the ball behind it (the ball doesnt break, since. yknow. pillows) and pulls out a deck of playing cards. While oracle doesnt need anything 2 see future n stuff it does Like shuffling through cards n stuff while it does it. go grandma!

also while im here oracle likes 2 gamble. nothing meaningful, but it cannot resist those damn odds because when it comes 2 something like "whats the outcome of this dice roll", it cant see what the Roll will actually be. It can only see what would happen for each of those rolls. so what the roll will actually be is soooo exciting and tempting Send granny 2 vegas or watever let it have fun watching those numbers roll. !
