Han Seok being excited and giddy over the hideous atrcities Vincenzo committed back in Italy (murder/threats) and calling them a challenge is the one aspect that really cemented the fact that not only was Han Seok a cold-blooded killer, killing those who cross him but the fact he is a mentally deranged paychopath that got away with his crimes and sees others (like Vincenzo) a challenge. It excites him.
God it's both terrifying and disgusting.

Crisis Talks ~ Ok Taecyeon
Tumblr media
You didn’t react as your eyes looked up at the clock to see just how late it was when Taecyeon finally walked through the front door. Despite assuring you that he wouldn’t be home too late, that the two of you could sit down and eat your dinner together, you had been left alone again with not even a message to let you know what his plans were.
All along you had assured Taecyeon that you understood how busy he was, that things weren’t always easy for him. You tried to get it still, but the empty promises were slowly draining the energy out of you and the little fight that you had left for your relationship.
There was an uncomfortable silence between you both as soon as you found yourselves in the same room. Taecyeon only needed to look at your expression to know that he had let you down and disappointed you once again.
He didn’t blame you, he blamed himself. He was the one in the wrong. But it wasn’t all his fault though, he couldn’t help that work had overrun and he’d ended up having to refilm several takes of a scene that he was convinced would only take a matter of minutes.
“Have you eaten?” Taecyeon nervously asked you as he sat himself down.
The quietest of hums came from you in reply to him, keeping your eyes looking in any direction but the direction of Taecyeon.
“Is there anything left in the kitchen for me to have for dinner?” Taecyeon then asked you, scratching over the top of his head.
“There might be something in one of the cupboards if you look far enough.”
His head nodded as he heard the bitterness in your voice for the first time. Taecyeon expected it, but it still stung him hard. The two of you seemed to have an attitude every time you spoke to each other these days as you tried to figure out where either of you stood.
It took a moment for Taecyeon to speak up again, “I might just order myself some food in if that’s the case, is there anything you want to add to my order?”
“Nope,” you very quickly replied, trying but failing to bite your tongue. “I ate my dinner at the time that we arranged, I don’t think I need anything else to eat tonight.”
His head hung low as he listened to you speak, with Taecyeon poking his tongue against the inside of his mouth. He had no leg to stand on to be able to be as harsh back to you, knowing that everything you said was right, however much it hurt for him to admit it.
“I’m trying my best to make this up to you Y/N,” Taecyeon calmly ended up replying.
You would have appreciated the effort if it was the first time that Taecyeon had been home late and missed out on time with you, but it wasn’t. It felt like your life was on repeat time and time again, only this time he actually seemed willing to at least say sorry.
“Why does it feel like I’m just thrown to the side of the road like nothing these days?” You found yourself asking Taecyeon, clearing your mind of the thoughts that were starting to fog it. “You act in dramas, is this what the ideal romance is supposed to be like?”
Taecyeon’s head shook back at you, “a drama romance is just fictional Y/N, this is real life, that’s never perfect.”
“I know, I’m really beginning to see how unperfect it can be.”
Taecyeon wasn’t blind to the changes that were happening right in front of him, how everything seemed to be slipping away from you both. He was struggling too, trying to find the balance just seemed like the impossible to him.
“I mean, how long do we pretend that this is an alright way to live Taec?”
There was no answer to your question, Taecyeon had no idea himself. It wasn’t that he wanted to live as the two of you were, he just saw no way out of it.
“I get that we live busy lives Taecyeon, but we always used to make time for each other. Now, it feels like there’s no fight, it feels like we just accept that we’re not going to be able to spend time together and don’t try to change it,” you admitted, finally looking across at him.
He got it, with his head nodding in reply to you. Perhaps there were times when he could have stepped back and refused to do something or times when he could have arranged something for you both when he knew that he had time off.
“I don’t want to be here just because,” you then added as Taecyeon remained slightly stunned to silence, “I want to be here with you, not just sat here wondering when you’ll be home.”
“I want to be here with you too,” he whispered.
“Then why don’t you try from time to time?” You questioned, “why don’t you just stop giving up on me every single time? Just once Taecyeon, that’s all that I want.”
Once again he found himself nodding, there was nothing else that he could do when he acknowledged everything that you had to say. Work had taken too much of his time, forgetting that there were other things in his life that needed prioritising too.
“I’m going to take a look at my work schedule and figure out if there are any spots where amendments can be made,” he confidently assured you. “I don’t need to absorb myself in work constantly, I mean we’re ahead of schedule for this drama anyway.”
Your head nodded as you listened closely to what Taecyeon had to say, “if you’re ahead, then why are you staying so late? Why don’t you leave something for a more suitable time?”
“Because that would be too easy,” he lightly chuckled, “and I’m too stupid to think of that.”
“You’re not wrong there,” you slightly laughed too.
“I don’t want to make you feel as if being in a relationship with me is some sort of chore,” Taecyeon swiftly assured you. “I don’t want things to be like this between the two of us either, if it means having to change some things, I will, you’re the person that I want to make happiest the most.”
You believed in every word that Taecyeon had to say, unsure if whether it was just the actor in him that managed to make him sound convincing. But he meant every word as he spoke, determined to make things work with you.
“I don’t want us to be one of those couples that in a few months can barely bring themselves to say hello to one another Taec. We’re better than that, we’ve survived this long in amongst all the hecticness without any trouble, I don’t want this to be the start of our relationship going downhill now.”
“I agree with you,” he smiled across at you, moving a little closer towards you on the sofa too. “It’s all well and good me sitting here and telling you that I’ll do more for us, but I really do mean it too. I don’t want for the two of us to go downhill either, I just want for the two of us to keep going up and up and up.”
“Do you think we’ll be able to do that?” You honestly asked Taecyeon.
His head nodded straight away back across to you. “It might take a little bit of practice and a little bit of understanding, but you’re right, we’ve not got this far for no reason, I can’t see either of us giving up either now.”
“I don’t want to give up on you,” you told him, “but recently, the thought has crossed my mind once or twice.”
“I’ll make sure that I don’t give you a reason anymore to doubt us,” he promised you.
“I reckon you’ll do that too.”

Anyone else catch Taecyeon’s cameo on XO Kitty? I lost it with his little advert and hoped that wasn’t the only time we’d see him in the episode. It was a brief cameo but made my night. If you’ve followed me for a while you probably already knew he’s one of my favs (see my last text post about him and his Amazon shows). I blame Vincenzo and Let’s Fight Ghost. I also just finished up Secret Royal Inspector and Joy which was cute.

2pm Reaction - You Get Hurt at Work
Requested by anon: Hi!! I was wondering if you could do a head cannon for 2pm for when you get a minor injury while at work. Thank you!
Jun.K: Minjun would instantly freak out, even more so if he wasn't given much detail about what had happened. In his mind, a minor injury wouldn't warrant a trip to the emergency room where he was now speeding off to. When he arrives, your wrist is being placed in a cast. He instantly thought it was broken, but it was really just a bad sprain. You won't be lifting so much as a finger for a few days, not on his watch at least.
"I'll take your dishes to the sink. You just focus on letting that heal."
Nichkhun: Nichkhun's heart would be racing out of his chest as he got your phone call telling him you were on your way to the hospital after a nasty fall. It wasn't anything too bad, I mean you could easily blame the too small classroom filled with 36 desks and binders all over the floor for causing your fall. Teacher life. Your ankle wasn't broken but it was badly sprained and would need to rest for a few days before you could even walk without injuring yourself further.
"I'm helping you with the layout of your classroom next year to make sure this doesn't happen again."
Taecyeon: When working with knives, at least one person is guaranteed to get some type of cut. You'd decided to take a cooking class with a friend. Simple enough and nothing should've happened. At least that's what you assured Taecyeon when he questioned you knowing how accident prone you were. And he had good reason to question you. Not even an hour into the class you were rushed off to the hospital in need of some stitches after a bad cut to your finger. He would be shaking his head muttering that he needs to put you in a bubble to keep you safe.
"At least it wasn't a burn. That would be annoying to deal with."
Wooyoung: Does everyone remember Wooyoung's 'I'm afraid of basketball moment' right before Junho threw one and it hit him directly in the head? Well, here's another reason why he doesn't like them. You were at a mandatory company retreat, that was meant to build teamwork. One of the activities was a game of basketball. Everything was going great until you were late at lifting up your hand to grab the ball and got hit square in the face getting a nasty nosebleed. Your nose wasn't broken which was good, but the bleeding was a lot. Safe to say Wooyoung doesn't let many flying objects near you since.
"Do you need more tissues? Would a cold compress help?"
Junho: Idk why, but Junho strikes me as the one who would laugh while on the phone with you while you in the ER not truly believing what happened. And then he gets to the hospital and is sitting beside all scared and worried as the doctors are running tests to make sure you don't have a concussion. A few boxes had fallen on your head as you were getting some printer paper and you'd passed out. However, it wasn't serious. All scans were normal and there weren't any signs of serious injury, but the doctors still chose to keep you overnight just to be safe.
"I shouldn't have laughed as much as I did on the phone."
Chansung: You, his younger sibling, own a hair salon. Naturally, whenever Chansung needs to get his hair styled he tries to go to your salon and have you style it. So, there you are using a flat iron on another patron while his bleach is setting, and it slips from your hand burning your palm. Luck was on your side as the iron wasn't at the highest heat level, so it wasn't more than just a red mark, but he was quick to panic thinking it was worse.
"Jesus (y/n)! Please be careful!"

MISCHA’S KDRAMA REVIEWS 2.0
The not-so-newbie newbie finished 20 21 Korean dramas. I adjusted the ratings of the 10 dramas I made a review of in the past. I’ll link that post too; the adjusted ratings you can find here (with a little explanation in case I adjusted the ratings). The 11 new dramas will be rated and reviewed under the cut. It’s a bit spoilery, but not in a way you’d remember.
Dramas under the cut with longer reviews: Doom at your service | Happiness | Hometown Cha Cha Cha | I’m not a robot | Moon Lovers | My Only Love Song (please excuse me for finding out only afterwards that the actor is the worst) | My Roommate is a Gumiho | Secret Royal Inspector & Joy | So I Married an Anti-Fan | Vincenzo | Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo
Dramas with ratings that I’ve (partly) adjusted and have reviewed before: A Love So Beautiful | Bring it on, ghost! | Extraordinary You | Hotel del Luna | Radio Romance | Romance is a Bonus Book | Rookie Historian Goo Hae-ryung | Run On | The Tale of Nokdu | W Two Worlds
Rated from worst to best:
#21 로맨스는 별책부록 Romance is a Bonus Book (2019) Rating: 2,0 of 5 stars. I adjusted it down, it’s as terrible as before but I have more comparison now and it’s just the worst Korean drama I’ve seen. The review can be found HERE.
___
#20 어사와 조이 Secret Royal Inspector & Joy (2021) Rating: 2,3 of 5 stars. I love Taecyeon and Kim Hye-yoon, which is why I started this show. The show has an A+ cast. Unfortunately, that’s the only good thing I can say about it. The show is an utter bore. Nothing happens, the characters are flat, the scenery is - considering that they travelled through all of Korea to film this - rather underwhelming. I was desperately looking for a plot, but tbh, nothing keeps your interest. I’ve noticed that problems arise the moment I start liking the villain(s) more as the leads. Happened here. Tae Seo is a much more interesting character because we actually get to see layers to him and his motivations for his actions are explored and are actually complex. Every other character rather stays dull. I liked the fact that we had comedy, but it came the point where I was sick of it. I didn’t cry once with this show, I also barely laughed. The first 3 episodes were fine, episodes 4 and 5 were amazing. Afterwards, it was all terrible. The writing was all over the place, the cinematography alright-ish, the characters flat enough. We focused too much on side characters and kept introducing characters that no one cared about. While I did like that the girls had scenes on their own, they were usually so detached from the “important” storylines that they just added to the boredom. The chemistry between Taec and Hye-yoon was undeniable but I’ve never seen a drama that gave so few scenes to its main ship, specifically because the show was promoted with their amazing chemistry. Don’t even get me started about how the show could have great messages about feminism and grief and abandoned children but falls short on all of them because it doesn’t treat the characters in a suitable manner. Eventually, you could have read out of the show that every woman at that time who was unhappy in her marriage could only blame herself cause she could have just quit. It’s not like there’s further consequences, am I right? It’s not like women could get murdered when getting divorced in such a time era. And do not get me started on Tae Seo. Like wtf was that? THAT’S how he dies??? What are you trying to sell to us???????? He deserved SO MUCH better. All in all? A show with a lot of potential that failed completely in execution. Completely. And it’s boring on top of that.
Favorite character(s):
Tumblr media
Positive: the cast is really A+, episodes 4&5, TAE SEO!!!!!!! Negative: everything else.
___
#19 간 떨어지는 동거 My Roommate is a Gumiho (2021) Rating: 3,0 of 5 stars. I literally have no idea why the hell everyone loved this show. It was fine for the most part. Fine as in: no harm done, also I’ve forgotten what was the storyline even, except that she lived with him after swallowing the golden thingy. I liked the second male lead more, he had more charisma. Well, sorry, okay, maybe it’s because the ML’s actor isn’t my cup of tea. I tried Search: WWW too and thought he was... boring (For everyone’s information: I can’t put Search: WWW because I genuinely didn’t watch the show, but I did watch each and every single scene of Lee Jae-wook and Lee Da-hee, they were soooooooo cute). Sorrrryyyyyy, I know many of you like Jang Ki-yong, but he’s not my cup of tea at all. Meanwhile, Lee Hyeri is incredible and outshines him all the fricking time - I’m watching her on Moonshine right now and she’s great and her co-stars are much more charismatic and interesting. The secondary couple was nice though. I didn’t finish it however. After episode 12, I called it quits. It was just too boring and the storyline too dull.
Favorite character(s):
Tumblr media
Positive: Lee Hyeri, the secondary couple, the second male lead. Negative: well... everything else.
___
#18 신입사관 구해령 Rookie Historian Goo Hae-ryung (2019) Rating: 3,3 of 5 stars. This rating was adjusted DOWN as I’ve been trying very hard to remember what the show was about but couldn’t really except for the things that the title gives away lol. No, honestly, I’m still convinced the show ain’t terrible but it’s also not something you will remember 2 years later.  The whole review can be found HERE.
___
#17 갯마을 차차차 Hometown Cha Cha Cha (2021) Rating: 3,4 of 5 stars. Another Tumblr favorite that I don’t entirely understand. I liked the first few episodes. The FL was great. However, it bothered me from the start that the show loved mansplaining. Like instead of showing what a strong, intelligent FL we had, she constantly had to be corrected by the ML - in her behavior, in her way of thinking, but even in her skills in mathematics and the like. It bothered me from the start but I was like: ‘kay, we can ignore that. What I couldn’t ignore was how she turnt into some clingy girlfriend the moment they got together. It sincerely annoyed me how both, ML and FL, lost their... personalities the moment they got together. And Jesus, his backstory revelation was so goddamn melodramatic I wanted to choke. I could oversee their cheesiness that was much beyond good and bad (I did feel the need to punch them every now and then), but the show shined in its first few eps through interesting characters and non-melodramatic storytelling, which is precisely what I enjoyed about it. And it turnt its two main characters into some lovey-dovey ship with no personalities anymore, and the non-melodramatic storyline into double-melodramatic storytelling. At some point, I started to wonder if I was watching a Mexican telenovela now with surprisingly good cinematography. Ah, right, the amount of 50k side characters and side ship no one fricking cares about also added to the telenovela theory. A show that started strong but turnt... cliché. Ofc we ended this with a wedding *sigh*
Favorite character(s):
Tumblr media
Positive: everything in the first few episodes (minus the mansplaining), the cinematpography in general, the banter between the two leads in the first few episodes, a good senstivity to emotions and feelings. Negative: the amount of irrelevant side ships of side characters i really didn’t care about at all; everything in the last few eps concerning characterization, storytelling and just... generally... writing.
___
#16 빈센조 Vincenzo (2021) Rating: 3,6 of 5 stars. Why the hell did Mischa rank this show so badly, you ask? Well, I’m sorry, I cannot help it as this show was an utter letdown in its last few eps. Let’s start with the good thing: This show was quality. You can tell from the first second you enter it, the cinematography is beyond, the plot was intriguing, the characters are incredibly sharp and complex and unique. I clearly remember I was AMAZED beyond compare by episode 6. It was some sort of How to Get Away with Murder show, but like 5 times better, spiced up with better and more consistent characterizations. All of this was well done. Problems started arising around episode 10, when the show started dragging things out. By episode 12, everyone could tell how this storyline would end. I wanted a conclusion, maybe then get to the final storyline with the Mafia. Instead... we just dragged on and on and on. By episode 16, I was just annoyed because I either wanted a plot twist or a new layer in the storyline. It wasn’t given. Instead, we sidelined Cha-young for no reason whatsoever and went with all the clichés that Korean dramas could give. I could have forgiven this - I really could have... if the writers hadn’t screwed over all character and relationship development in its last episode to write an “open ending” that no one wanted. Cha-young deserved her happy ending and not some stupid “I’ll wait for you”-storyline for a guy who doesn’t deserve it. She deserved better. We deserved better. This show deserved better. 16 eps would have also been beyond sufficient. Besides, I have not forgiven them for how I will never get this pic ouf of my mind of Taecyeon’s character’s death. I’m traumatized by it. Objectively, it’s a well made and well written show. But there’s so many flaws in the last episodes and the ending that I just cannot rate it high as it didn’t leave me with a good feeling after all. I kind of just wish I’d forget about this show.
Favorite character(s):
Tumblr media
Positive: cinematography, incredible plot twists, CHA YOUNG!!!!!, A+ cast, intriguing and interesting, characters are complex and unique. Negative: drags on in the last few eps, screws over character and relationship developments for the sake of writing a “unique” ending, leaves you unsatisfied.
___
NEXT UP: All shows I sincerely enjoyed until the end!
___
#15 런 온 Run On (2020) Rating: 3,8 of 5 stars. Rating adjusted DOWN. Look, let me explain: this is a very, very well-written and well-directed show. In my personal opinion, it just doesn’t have this obsession factor as other shows. It has great characters, relatable characters, to be precise; it has good storylines, it’s adult, it’s metaphoric, it treats all its topics with sensitivity. The relationships are great, the friendships are nice, it’s a slice of life made into art. It’s wonderfully made - it’s just not the kind of show I’d rewatch really or get obsessed with. Objectively, it’s one of the best out there though. So if you enjoy show that show you a slice of life, this one is TOTALLY worth your time! My whole review can be found HERE.
___
#14 라디오 로맨스 Radio Romance (2018) Rating: 3,9 of 5 stars. Rating adjusted UP. This is a truly nice show that is so deep that it’s truly a tragedy that there’s a useless love triangle on there. The love triangle adds nothing to the story and is just nothing but annoying. The backstory... the way it deals with depression, with grief, with PTSD, but also with feelings in general... The way it promotes kindness and celebrates compassion and empathy... Amazing.  My old longer review can be found HERE. This would be one of the best if it just wasn’t for the love triangle. If we cut that part, we could have sized down the show to 12 episodes - and those would have been awesome.
___
#13 아름다웠던 우리에게 A Love So Beautiful (2020) Rating: 3,9 of 5 stars. Rating adjusted UP. I have to admit I just love this show, it’s so cute and lovely and makes you feel so melancholic. I personally consider it to be the lighter, less complex version of Our Beloved Summer - a currently airing Korean drama that has me OBSESSED. For everyone who wants to see a lighter, funnier, less heartaching version, A Love So Beautiful is perfect for that.  My old longer review can be found HERE, even though it’s probably not that fair towards the show.
___
#12 그래서 나는 안티팬과 결혼했다 So I Married an Anti-Fan (2021) Rating: 4,0 of 5 stars. I honestly only started this for Choi Soo-young and I didn’t have any large expectations - and I was positively surprised. It was such a lovely show with a nice ML and FL; I loved their dynamic early on and I loved seeing them grow together. This show truly know how to write a mature adult relationship and, yet, they also knew how to write enemies-to-lovers. I sincerely enjoyed this show and while it gets a bit boring in the last 2 eps, it’s still easily watched. I also discovered Choi Tae-joon through it. It was funny, it was cute. A nice romcom for adults! The only rather annoying thing were the secondary couple. Not only were they beyond toxic, they were also beyond annoying, constantly dragging down the ML with them. But ignoring them, this was a great show I highly recommend if you love romcoms! If we compare it A Love So Beautiful and Radio Romance, we can say that Radio Romance is rather concerned with emotions and experiences than with comedy. Radio Romance is an exploration of characters and how past experiences and feelings can shape the way one perceives the world; A Love So Beautiful celebrates youth and the growth people go through by telling the story of two high school teenagers who grow into adults who have to manage their lives; So I Married an Anti-Fan is a romcom - enemies to lovers who get over first loves and past heartbreaks and grow together by trusting each other and confiding in each other.
Favorite character(s):
Tumblr media
Positive: loved the actors, loved most of the characters, well executed enemies-to-lovers storyline (not every enemies-to-lovers storyline should exist, but this one is great), all in all a lovely romcom. Negative: the toxicity of the secondary couple and of the two characters involved in it. I just wanted them to break up and to both get out of Hoo Joon’s life forever.
___
#11 마이 온리 러브송 My Only Love Song (2017) Rating: 4,0 of 5 stars. WARNING: The main actor is a sexual predator (Netflix offered this show to me and I had no idea who he was, but I’d like everyone to consider for yourself if you want to check out the show anyway or not - with the knowledge that I didn’t have.) Leaving aside the fact that the main actor is the worst, this show is cute. It feels a lot like an ancient Chinese drama as it involves time travel and rather short episodes and is a lot more light-hearted than the typical sageuk. As it is short, and so are the episodes, it’s fast-paced and genuinely always a pleasure to watch. The dynamics work out great, the friendships are beyond adorable, the ending is well-deserved. I personally cannot find any flaws in characterizations, development or writing. It’s just really well-made. The camera work and editing could be better at some points, but it’s clearly decent. Its only real flaw? The main actor. And it’s a shame because the show is awesome.
Favorite character(s):
Tumblr media
Positive: I love almost everything about this show, but mostly... the fact that it feels a bit like an ancient Chinese drama rather than a sageuk. China is better than Korea at ancient dramas and this show just has those nice cdrama vibes I’m always looking for. Including the enemies-to-lovers I always love. Negative: I’ve said it like a dozen times, you know who it is.
___
#10 달의 연인 - 보보경심 려 Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo (2016) Rating: 4,2 of 5 stars. This show should and could be rated higher. It should be rated higher if I didn’t have many shows I subjectively consider to be better because I’m a romantic. And it could be better if Tumblr hadn’t drawn a wrong image of this show. I don’t know which ones of you have watched it or not - but I can assure you, I have no idea why the hell Tumblr is shipping the two leads. Like WHAT. THE. HELL. They may be the most toxic leading couple I’ve witnessed in any Korean drama. No, wait, I KNOW they are. And the thing is - the show wasn’t drawing them in a positive light. They were clearly presented as negative. He gives her up for power. He literally doesn’t fight for her. But even their beginning is so beyond questionable as he is rather obsessed with her than anything else - and she is in love with another. The reason why I like this show anyway is because I never had the impression that the show was wanting you to ship them. The writing was trying to intrigue you in the storyline - and God, it did. The deaths. The pain. The betrayals. The suffering. The manipulations. I died one thousand deaths. The amazing cinematography, the complex storytelling, the most cruel depths of human evil... it’s all right there. This show is SO well made. Just that Tumblr doesn’t understand anything about it. It just sees a rather toxic ship and goes OTP OTP OTP. No. This show is good for so many reasons and NONE of them are the leading couple. However, individually, the two leads are great. Acting is beyond compare, they have a star-filled cast and they knew how to make use of it. An incredible show - if you wanna watch something intriguing and wanna step away from shipping for a moment, watch this one. It leaves you speechless.
Favorite character(s):
Tumblr media
Positive: everything. IU tho. IU always. And Nam Joo-hyuk. Negative: whatever the hell romantic bullsh*t Tumblr made out of it.
___
#9 싸우자 귀신아 Bring it on, ghost! (2016) Rating: 4,2 of 5 stars. Rating stayed the same. My review of it can be read HERE. What can I say? My fave drama of Taecyeon, it was one of my first too, I will love it forever.
___
#8 어느 날 우리 집 현관으로 멸망이 들어왔다 Doom At Your Service (2021) Rating: 4,4 of 5 stars. The problem with this show is easy. This show is, easily, one of the best out there. But. But. But. The love triangle. I have literally nothing, NOTHING, NOT A TINY LITTLE THING, to say about visuals or directing or writing or acting - as long as it concerns Myul Mang and Tak Dong-kyung and their related storyline. However, for some totally unknown reason, some writer decided to write a love triangle of the secondary characters in there that was not only terrible but also beyond unrelated to the actual storyline. Like WHY THE HELL DID I HAVE TO SIT THROUGH THIS LOVE TRIANGLE??? On top of that, Lee Soo-hyuk is the worst actor I’ve watched on a Korean drama. You cannot enjoy all actors, and I said before I also didn’t really like the one on Gumiho but the one on Gumiho is still so much better than this one. I may not really enjoy seeing Jang Ki-yong but he’s most definitely bearable. Meanwhile... Lee Soo-hyuk is not. He has two facial expressions, can’t talk properly and I downright hated watching every scene he was in. To the point that I just stopped watching his scenes. Meanwhile, Kang Tae-oh is one of the best actors to exist and he was given so little to work with. Nevermind the fact that I also automatically rooted for him in the love triangle even though I just really hated this love triangle from the beginning and every episode got worse. But anyway, back to the good part of this show, which was literally everything that wasn’t the love triangle. The show had me from the very first episode, I was completely intrigued by the storyline and enjoyed the ride. Also sorta adore to have happy endings; I have to endure life anyway, so I’m not opposed to having overly happy endings like this one. It personally would have destroyed me if I didn’t have one. I just wished the show had simply only had 12 episodes instead of 16 and threw out the entire storyline of the love triangle. Then this show would be a 5/5.
Favorite character(s):
Tumblr media
Positive: Literally everything that wasn’t the love triangle; those incredible acting skills of Seo In-guk and Park Bo-young. Negative: the love triangle; the lack of acting skills of Lee Soo-hyuk.
___
#7 역도 요정 김복주 Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo (2016) Rating: 4,5 of 5 stars. Probably one of the few Tumblr favorites that rightfully deserves its praise and approval. What a beautiful, beautiful show. So pure, so fresh. A little bit of feminism and a little bit of enemies-to-lovers added on top of that with nice, enjoyable side characters, great cameos (KANG CHUL!!!!!!!!!), and a well-rounded show that lacks nothing. I’m deducting 0,5 stars because I could have someeeetimes lived my watching well without the uncle’s love life and because I didn’t like the message about Jun-hyung’s mother being forgiven for abandoning her son. Let us start holding our parents accountable. Other than that, a perfect show with a great cast and great dynamics. And very nice messages. Needless to say, Lee Sung-kyung and Nam Joo-hyuk are wonderful together.

Positive: loved the entire vibe, the cast, the visuals, just loved it. Negative: tiny things I mentioned in the written text.

#6 해피니스 Happiness (2021) Rating: 4,7 of 5 stars. I went to watch this because I kept seeing it on Tumblr and because... Han Hyo-joo. Duh. I didn’t go in there with a lot of expectations; after all, it looked like zombies and like... not sure that’s for me. Except... it wasn’t a zombie show. It was a show about a pandemic, making references to the COVID-19 pandemic... and its measures. The show had a sort of critical eye on the entire handling of things by the government and there were multiple occasions at which you could clearly draw some parallels. It leaves you thinking, it leaves rich people in a quite negative light, but its message is actually something else: Don’t lose your kindness towards other people in rough moments of your lives. We live together and we should try to treat each other with kindness and respect, not to point the finger at everyone who seems different or thinks differently. Be kind, show respect, treat people the way you would want to be treated as well. Being humane is not the appearance or the lack of a virus; being humane is about who you are and who you want to be.
Favorite character(s):
Tumblr media
Positive: a critical but not problematic view on pandemics and the way people treat each other during such; a nice adult love story as side plot; unique characters; a realistic resolution; very pleasant cinematography: Negative: i just wish it was longer lol

#5 조선로코-녹두전 The Tale of Nokdu (2019) Rating: 4,8 of 5 stars. This show’s rating has been adjusted up because this is, without any doubts, the best sageuk out there. Interesting plot that doesn’t drag on, wonderfully lovable characters, plot twists to leave you gasping, pretty cinematography, nice directing, tragic pasts, and a wonderfully heartaching, pure romance. A beautiful, beautiful ending that gives you everything you wanted. And it knew how to treat Kang Tae-oh’s acting skills well, like Run On did too, and not how Doom at Your Service did. How could you possibly ask for more? Original review HERE.

#4 로봇이 니야 I’m not a Robot (2017) Rating: 4,9 of 5 stars. The only reason why this show loses 0,1 points is because I expected something different when I went into it. I was expecting a sci-fi show. Okay, no, even though it has science fiction parts, that’s not the focus nor the essence of the show. The essence of the show is celebrating human relations. Celebrating that we are living in societies, that we care for one another, that we live and laugh and love, that we show kindness and adoration, forgiveness and sadness, happiness and love. That we move on, that we experience life at its fullest and move on from past experiences that shaped us, that made us who we are, but that should be left behind to move ahead. That nothing is more beautiful than being close to the people who value and treasure you and love you with your flaws. The show makes correct use of its side characters and never steps away from the main storyline. This show is the romcom with the most beautiful messages you can find and as it adds a bit of science fiction and a lot of tragedy into it, I could not do anything but love it.
Favorite character(s):
Tumblr media
Positive: the messages, the entire cinematography that makes it look like a hollywood movie, the acting, the EVERTYHING. Negative: the only minor thing I would need to complain about that I didn’t particularly enjoy that he went to the military in the end - like i get it, full circle to the first scene - but I’m never with military arcs lol.

#3 어쩌다 발견한 하루 Extraordinary You (2019) Rating: 5,0 of 5 stars. The first 3 ranks haven’t changed at all. It’s still those 3 shows and I don’t think something will ever beat them. However... I said it last time already, the 3 of them are interchangeable. So today, I feel like ranking them like... tomorrow it’s changed. 3 incredible shows, not to ever be beaten. “Who will win and become the next Cooking God?”
This is not a laughing matter, but your nerves about the situation think otherwise. The bright lights of the studio kitchen and the multitude of cameras pointed at you make your pulse thrum at an even quicker pace than the last two rounds. With your opponent in front of you and the host right beside you, you grow increasingly on edge. It’s becoming more real by the second — a chance to win ten million won, your dream of opening your own bakery being fulfilled, your future studded with three Michelin stars.
You would say you didn’t know whether to laugh or cry at such a wild scenario, but clearly your body has already decided on that.
Since you’ve already bursted out laughing on the last two takes, you can’t exactly do it again. It’s so difficult though. The host Park Jae is chatty and humorous behind the scenes, but the solemn way he delivers the cheesy line is such a big contrast to himself. It doesn’t help that you can see his jaw trembling as he holds back his laughter. It’s almost an invitation.
With the grin on your face barely concealed, you say, “I will.”
In front of you, Chef Lee Felix replies, “Not a chance,” in an extra deep voice, his thick Australian accent shining through, taunting you to give up your cracking charade of calm.
“Chefs, open your baskets.”
“Cut!”
As soon as the clapper is dropped, all three of you let loose into peals of laughter. Jae and Felix clutch onto each other for support, and you grab the nearby edge of the work surface to steady yourself. It’s all so silly. You wonder if Jae is like this on all episodes of God’s Menu or if he simply finds you and Felix especially fun to be around. Felix is a charmer, but you’re not certain if you feel that way because he’s rather attractive, the head chef of the two Michelin star restaurant Levanter, or simply because you feel like your insides have been reduced to cotton candy ever since you stepped inside the studio. Either way, the combination of you, Felix, and Jae has not been easy for the filming crew.
However, as the director calls for you and Felix to head to your stations, you steel yourself for the most important part of the competition. You glance at Felix once more to see how he’s faring, and he mouths, “Good luck,” at you. You smile back and hope that it’s reassuring enough.
“And… action!”
Jae resumes his professional television persona from the far end of the studio where the judges are sitting. “Chefs, open your baskets.”
With unsteady hands, you pull apart the flaps of the giant wicker basket. Then you immediately grimace once you see the four ingredients you have to use in your dessert. Strange foods are part of the competition, but you are always surprised by some of the things the producers put in the basket.
“You have to make a dessert with camel milk…”
You have used cow milk, goat milk, sheep milk, even buffalo milk once, but never camel. Hopefully, it has a similar composition and taste to one of those.
“Rose syrup…”
This is an ingredient you use daily in the upscale restaurant you work at, so you can possibly modify one of your recipes if the other two ingredients aren’t too absurd. Macarons will take too long, so maybe a decadent flourless rose and chocolate cake. You could easily incorporate the camel milk into a dense, fudgy cake.
“Beer flour…”
Never mind on the flourless cake. The cake idea may still be possible, but what on earth is beer flour? If it tastes anything like beer though, you might have to nix the idea altogether.
“And jalapeños.”
They are bright red and thus, extra spicy. Your first instinctive is to candy them and to use them as a garnish on your maybe-cake. The spice would cut through the sweetness and richness of the cake as well.
“Forty minutes on the clock, and your time starts… now!”
Your previous nervousness dissipates completely. Compartmentalizing while cooking, or soon to be baking in this case, has always been a relatively easy feat for you; your mind forgets the rest of the world and refocuses on the task at hand.
While Felix heads straight to the pantry for his additional ingredients, you tear open the package of beer flour with your knife. Unfortunately for you, it smells exactly like old beer, so you forgo your initial idea. You warily eye the clock and calculate the time needed for the plan you have just created. If you’re quick in the kitchen, you could make a good tart. All the basket ingredients can easily be used for one purpose or another.
Yeah, you think you’ll do that.
As you rush to the pantry for some flour, butter, sugar, and vanilla for your shortbread tart crust, Felix walks past you with a sheet of puff pastry and a carton of cream. You wonder what he’s going to do with his repertoire of skills. Hand pies? Strudels? Something completely out of the box?
You push those thoughts out of your head and gather your ingredients for the crust along with the ones for the chocolate cream filling. The cameraman following you takes several steps back as you stack containers in your arms. You press down the topmost one with your chin and carefully balance them as you speed back to your work station. Fortunately, yours is the closest to the pantry.
While the flours, butter, sugar, and vanilla are being combined together in the stand mixer, you begin slicing your jalapeños before candying them in a pan with some sugar. After a moment’s hesitation, you add in a splash of rose syrup as well to further accentuate the flavors in the rose glaze. You hear a crash of metal on your left. Felix has set a pan on his stovetop and is dropping a handful of sliced jalapeños into his pan.
It’s never early too early to start getting your presentation dishes, is it?
You walk past him — “Behind, Chef” — and peer inside to confirm that he is also making candied jalapeños. It’s a little concerning that you and he have similar elements in this round since the judges may deem the idea “uncreative.” If push comes to shove, you can probably transform the peppers into something else, but you have no idea what else to do with them now. Instead, you grab four ceramic tart pans and head back to find that your dough is fully combined.
As you press a layer of the dough into the bottom of your pans, you overhear the panel of judges speculating over your and Felix’s desserts. Park Jihyo, a celebrity chef known for her wide variety of kimchi dishes, points out that both chefs appear to be making candied jalapeños. Jae mentions something about Felix possibly putting it between his puff pastry like a sandwich. Could he be making a dessert sandwich with puff pastry as the bread? You can’t help yourself. A quick glance over at Felix and then upwards towards the wall-mounted clock informs you that he is pouring something into his blender and that you have thirty-three minutes left, neither of which are helpful.
You place the pans on a baking sheet and slide the tray into the oven to bake. You take a sip of the camel milk, which tastes a little nutty and will work nicely in the pastry cream filling. As the milk and heavy cream heats up, you chop a dark chocolate bar to add into the mixture to melt. The main reason why you decided on a chocolate cream filling is because one of the judges, Lee Chaeryeong, is a self-proclaimed chocoholic as well as a renowned chocolatier and baker. If you can impress her with your dessert, everyone will flock to your bakery.
Being the head pastry chef at Hero’s Soup is fun, but to have full creative control and to make whatever you want, is what you truly desire. You have a menu already drawn up, paint colors selected, and even a storefront scoped out. All you need now is a lot of money to get it opened. Chef Lee Felix and his dish are the only thing standing in your way. He may have gotten his start as a pastry chef, but you have spent the last several years being one at a top restaurant. Only one Michelin star, you admit, but you know your work is superb. The critics at Clé magazine said so.
You whisk in the sugar and slowly add your beaten eggs into the chocolate mixture. You don’t want to risk having bits of scrambled egg in the tarts. After you mix it all until it turns smooth, you check your tart crust in the oven. It’s done blind baking, so you take it out to cool before filling it with your filling. In the meantime, you work on the rose flavored cream to be piped on top.
“Behind,” calls Felix.
As you run back to your station with a carton of whipping cream, Felix heads to the ice cream machine with his blender container. He pours his light pink mixture in. Rose ice cream, it seems, will be in his dessert. Rather unhelpfully to you and more for the cameras, Jae announces that Felix’s dish will feature ice cream.
“An ice cream sandwich maybe with the puff pastry he has in the oven?” he adds.
That certainly is a dessert sandwich. You can’t help but look at the judges’ reactions to that suggestion.
Ok Taecyeon, chef and owner of the Japanese restaurant Winter Hitori, seems pleased by that idea. “Or maybe a mille feuille,” he says as he cranes his neck to look at the ingredients at Felix’s station, “with ice cream instead of pastry cream.”
A mille feuille and a tart are pretty different from each other, but you don’t miss your dessert’s similarities to his. Unoriginality aside, this could become a direct comparison of technical abilities. You’re certain you’ve got him beat on that.
You pause on your rose cream to fill your empty tart shells with the chocolate filling. There is an audible gasp from Chaeryeong as she sees the silky smooth texture being poured into each pan. How can you blame her when you yourself are mesmerized by the shine of it?
“Chocolate’s on the menu!” Jae exclaims. “How do you think it will go with all of the mandatory ingredients?”
You suppress a smile at her excitement as she details the finer points of chocolate pairings. Without a doubt, she is the one you must impress. It won’t be an easy feat, but you think she’ll enjoy your dish.
You stick the now filled tart shells back into the oven to bake. Fifteen minutes left, and not only does the filling have to be baked through completely, it has to cool down with adequate time so you can pipe on the cream. The giant bowl of rose cream is completed and set aside.
Now the only thing left for you to finish are your candied jalapeños, which you should have paid more attention to because they are on the verge of being burnt. The sugar and rose syrup have caramelized into a dark brown mess around the edges of the pan, and the red peppers have gone mushy. At that moment, the camera leans in to get a closeup of the disaster and captures you loudly swearing at it.
They can censor that in post-production.
"Behind. All good?" Felix asks as he rushes by with a casserole dish for ice cream collection. You hope his ice cream base didn't work.
"Mostly."
Jae's theatrical whisper and the approved hums from the judges inform you that Felix’s ice cream did turn out beautifully.
"Behind," he says again.
"Heard."
With an exasperated sigh, you set the ruined pan aside and turn back to your cutting board. You had the foresight to not use all of the peppers, but two measly ones are not going to be enough for the amount you want on each tart.
“Hey,” you shout to Felix, hoping that he can hear you over the whir of his food processor, “you have any jalapeños left over?”
He pushes the plastic container with one finger a smidge in your direction as he pulls off the parchment paper over his freshly baked puff pastry. “Take it.”
With a sigh of relief, you walk over to grab them. You expertly chop them into neat slices and throw them into a new pan. A sprinkling of sugar, a circle of rose syrup, and a turn of the stove knob later, the jalapeños are being candied, hopefully properly this time. As you wait, you check your baking tarts. They are still not done yet, which is to be expected but bothersome.
“Ten minutes left on the clock!”
The nervousness is back, and you whisper, “C’mon, c’mon,” at the oven door like it will encourage the tarts to cook faster. After letting yourself stare for a few more seconds because maybe they’ll suddenly be done in that short time, you pop back up to check on your peppers. They, fortunately, are turning out well. You turn down the heat so as to not let the syrup turn into rock candy as you wait for those cursed tarts to be done. Why did you decide on something so risky? Why couldn't you have done a puff pastry crust and not spend ten precious minutes fiddling around with the dough?
Because of the beer flour and because your pride demands that you prove your skills to all the talented chefs, that's why.
Another minute passes, and you drain the pan of the liquid and let the peppers cool down. Felix keeps running back to the pantry for more ingredients, and the judges voice their disapproval at that. You feel a breeze brush across the back of your neck as he dashes back to his station. It’s never a good sign when chefs grab last-minute items; it either means they’re behind schedule, forgot a component of a key element, or about to screw up whatever they have already made in an attempt to fill up time. Or maybe you’re just being cynical. All your nerves are on fire at the moment. Jihyo and Taecyeon soon turn their attention to you when they realize that your tarts are still in the oven.
“You can’t just look at them all day!” Jihyo exclaims at your crouching position.
She’s right, so you make a quick decision: finish these underbaked tarts in the microwave. You flounder for a towel, pull open the oven door, and walk to the microwave as you fast as you can with a tray of steaming hot pans. As all of the tarts are being cooked, you run back to your station to fill a pastry bag of your rose cream. You have six and a half minutes left, and if you’re quick, you can stick the tarts in the blast chiller to cool a little bit. Never mind that putting hot desserts into a freezer is considered blasphemous, you have a competition to win.
The microwave loudly beeps, and you run back to cart them back onto the baking sheet and shove them in the blast chiller. They could still be underdone for all you know, but that’s a risk you have to take. It will still be delicious at least. Felix decides to grab yet another ingredient, and you watch with interest as he selects a bunch of basil. You can’t say whether rose and basil is a good combination, but you trust that he has an idea of what he’s doing. He flashes you a panicked smile as he runs back. It’s the perfect embodiment of your current emotions.
“Less than five minutes, chefs!”
You’re certain the judges mean well when they begin to shout at you about starting on plating, but it only makes you more anxious. You keep watch of the clock, precious seconds disappearing in front of your eyes. Once it hits two minutes, you’ll take them out. Piping pastry cream is so easy, you could do it in your sleep. Garnishing should be simple too. You can do this.
Taecyeon yells, “There’s no time! Get it together!” exactly when there are three minutes left. One more agonizing minute later, you take out the tarts and head back to your station with the same kind of balancing act you performed when you made a mad dash to the microwave. At first glance, it appears the chocolate cream filling has set and cooled, but who really knows? You pick up your pastry bag and start squeezing fat dots in a crescent on the tops of each tart. The pink cream looks beautiful against the dark chocolate.
“Less than thirty seconds remaining!” shouts Jae.
“I can’t watch,” Chaeryeong declares. “Hurry!”
With a slightly shaky hand, you place your candied peppers on each dollop, grimacing when some of them are just the tiniest bit askew. You quite literally have no time to fix them though. A millisecond after you finish setting the last one, Jae calls out for you and Felix to stop cooking. You throw your hands up, showing that you have stopped. Then with a sigh, you grasp the edge of the table and look down at the final desserts. They all look amazing, minus the imperfect pepper placements, on the outside, so you hope that the insides match, no gooey filling in the center. Out of curiosity, you glance over at Felix and catch him eying yours as well. His mille feuilles look stunning — light pink ice cream sandwiched between golden brown puff pastry, topped with a row of pastry cream, red jalapeños, strawberries, and basil so finely chopped, you can barely see it.
You and Felix meet in the middle and nearly collapse on top of each other. He pulls you in more a congratulatory hug, and your unease about your dessert disappears for a second. His hold is strangely comforting considering you have only met him today. You could stay here all day. Then you remember that all of this is being filmed and that you’re hugging Chef Lee Felix, and your pulse jumps.
“We’re done now. Nice job,” he says. He pulls away and observes your frozen expression. “No laughing fits yet?”
A giggle escapes — they’re back and even worse than before, you can already feel it — and you clamp a hand over your mouth, embarrassed. “They’ve just started.”
“Good luck on the judging.”
“Yeah, you too.”
The director yells, “Cut!” and the moment is gone.
You and Felix idle around by the judges’ table as the production crew takes close-ups of the food. Felix easily makes conversation with all of the judges, especially Taecyeon. He smiles at the right parts, adds anecdotes when appropriate, and you wonder how he is so unphased by the dessert round. It’s all you can think about, replaying every single action you made.
“I can’t wait to try that chocolate tart,” Chaeryeong warmly says to you. “It looks amazing.”
Now all you can do is stare at her in disbelief with the silliest grin on your face. Felix gently nudges you to remind you to speak.
“I can’t wait for you to try it,” you hear yourself reply. It’s uncharacteristically high-pitched, and you feel yourself growing hotter despite the lack of harsh studio lights.
“The fourth one is for me, right?” Felix teases. “I want a bite of that too.”
“Only if I get some of your mille feuille,” you say. “It looks amazing.”
“What about me?” protests Jae, making everyone laugh.
Once the close-ups are completed, you and Felix return to your stations and make the dramatic walk to the judges’ table. The lighthearted atmosphere from before is gone, and your nerves are back in a completely different way. The anticipation from the beginning of the round is nothing compared to the fear you feel now. You stand tall with your hands behind you, the perfect picture of confidence, but behind the camera, you are twisting and knitting together your fingers. Felix, on the other hand, is solemn. Lucky him.
“In the dessert round,” Jae recites, “you were tasked to create a dish with camel milk, rose syrup, beer flour, and jalapeños. Chef Felix, what did you make for us today?”
With a steady voice, he answers, “Judges, I have made for you a rose and strawberry ice cream mille feuille topped with a strawberry rose syrup crumble, candied jalapeños, sliced strawberries, and some chopped basil. I hope you enjoy it.”
There’s a pause as the judges cut into the dessert and try it. Like in the previous rounds, their expressions are indecipherable as they chew and deliberate to themselves. Taecyeon is the first to speak.
“First off, your presentation is beautiful. Everything is very neat and precise, which shows your attention to detail. I especially love the basil. Not only does it complement the rest of the dish, it’s a nice addition of color to the plate.”
Chaeryeong nods. “I agree. Strawberry and basil is a classic combination, and I think you balanced those flavors very well. However, neither of those ingredients were in the basket.”
You can almost feel the temperature in the room drop at that revelation.
“Yeah, you definitely focused more on the pantry than the basket ingredients,” Jihyo adds. “Strawberry is the star of this dessert, and I wish you highlighted a basket ingredient instead, especially since you had so many good choices available. And ice cream wise, I think it is too sweet. And I can just barely taste the rose syrup in there.”
“Where is the beer flour in this?” Taecyeon asks as he lifts off the topmost layer of puff pastry. “Is it in the crumble?”
“Yes,” Felix quickly replies. “I didn’t like the flavor of the flour, so I decided it would be best to hide it with the strong syrup flavor.”
“You definitely did that well,” Taecyeon continues. “And your jalapeños are great, help cut through the sweetness of everything.”
It’s clear that there is nothing more to be said. You note that the baker of the trio of the judges said nothing negative about Felix’s dish.
“Thank you, Chef Felix,” Jae concludes. “Chef Y/N, what have you made for us today?”
There’s another cut as the production switches out the half empty plates for your tarts. Sensing your increasing anxiety, Felix reaches over and pats you on the shoulder.
“Good luck,” he whispers. “You got this.”
You can only give him a tentative smile in return before filming resumes. Jae repeats his line to help the transition.
“Judges, I have made for you a chocolate tart with a beer flour crust, rose pastry cream, and candied jalapeños. Please enjoy.”
Chaeryeong is the first to scoop into the tart with her spoon. When the spoon comes out clean and with a pile of solid chocolate tart, you breathe a sigh of relief. She mulls over it as she takes another bite, but Taecyeon already has one ready.
“This is rich and delicious.”
You stop wringing your fingers together. A smile is beginning to form on your face, and it takes some willpower to remain calm.
“I love the way you cut the beer flour with regular flour because let’s be real,” he continues, leaning in conspiratorially, “beer flour tastes pretty awful. I can still get some hints of it, but it’s not overpowering.”
Jihyo nods in agreement. “You have good textures, from the crunchiness of the tart shell to the silkiness of the filling. My only problem with your dessert is that it’s heavy. There’s a lot of chocolate and then you top it off with something pretty sweet. Your candied jalapeños do help, but the ratio of cream to peppers is off.”
Your joy wilts as you take in her comments. As much as you want for her to be wrong, you didn’t get a chance to eat your creation, so you can’t exactly deny it. However, everyone knows that the judge with the weightiest opinion in the dessert round is Chaeryeong. When you look over at her to see what she thinks, she is still picking apart the tart.
Jihyo, situated in between Taecyeon and Chaeryeong, nudges her. “Anything to add, Chaeryeong?”
She looks up at you, and you realize that likely already made a decision on her first bite. Her words are clear and decisive. “I think you made a lot of good choices. Finishing it in the microwave, using dark chocolate, incorporating the rose syrup in the candying process. I do agree with Jihyo that this is a little too rich though. Your rose syrup cream feels unnecessary, but overall, it’s a delicious dessert.”
Your heart is pounding. Everything feels hot, and you are suddenly hyperaware of the cameras around, waiting to capture your reaction. You remember your fiddling fingers and stop moving them.
“Thank you, Chef Y/N,” Jae says. “The judges need some time to deliberate the winner. Remember that the decision will be made on your dishes from all three rounds. Chefs, we will see you after.” He nods at you and Felix, and as per the instructions from the producers, you and Felix walk to the green room.
No other takes are needed. You follow behind Felix, wondering how he is still so poised after all of that. Inside the green room, there is a cameraman waiting, ready to film some commentary from you and Felix. You settle into a stool at the table, and he sits in front of you.
“You did a great job,” he says in an overly produced way. You bet he was rehearsing this. That’s what you should have been doing during his judging. Now your remarks won’t come out as smoothly. “I definitely focused on the pantry too much, but hopefully the other rounds will help me out. The beer flour really confused me.”
You swallow and try to concentrate on him instead of the tabletop. If you don’t get this right, you’ll have to redo it. “Yeah, definitely a tricky ingredient. It was smart of you to use it in your crumble. But yeah, I think we both did pretty good. May the best chef win.” You stick your hand out for him to shake, and he does.
“Cut,” interjects a producer. “Alright, that’s all for that scene. Let’s start on your interviews.”
You nearly forgot about those. You and Felix share glances, both of which are reluctant goodbyes, before being whisked away into separate rooms. As you sit in front of a green screen, you recount what you did in the dessert round, walking the audience through the choices you made and the emotions you felt. There’s a frenetic energy about you this time unlike the previous interviews after the appetizer and entrée rounds. You are so close to the ten million won, you can almost taste it.
Your interview takes almost all of the time. Just as you swallow your last sip of water, the producers are informed that the judges have finished discussing and that you are needed back to the kitchen studio. When you stand up, you nearly knock over the stool you were sitting on. The walk to the studio is longer than it was before, and you want to push the dawdling production crew aside so you can get there faster. Your heart pounds erratically underneath your mask of serenity.
Felix smiles at you from where he stands in front of the judging panel. The signature cloche of God’s Menu sits ominously from its location on the table, two spotlights illuminating its silver shine. Taecyeon, Jihyo, and Chaeryeong are getting last-minute makeup touches, and Jae is idling around, rereading his script even though he has said the lines numerous times before.
“Hey,” you greet Felix as you take your spot beside him. “You nervous?”
“Yeah. It all comes down to this, right? Ten million won and the title of Cooking God.” He says the last part like Jae does, no theatrics spared, and you laugh. It feels good to do so, like a small bit of tension has been released.
Someone adjusts the lights, and suddenly you and Felix are in the dark. Feeling a little courageous, you tell him, “No matter what happens, I just want to say that it’s been an honor competing against you. It’s been a lot of fun, and I think I’ve learned a few things from your cooking.”
“Same here. You’re an awesome chef and an even better person.” The lights shine back on you and Felix, and he sneaks a glance towards you after a producer calls a warning to begin shooting soon. “I’d say ‘good luck,’ but with the way you cook, I don’t think you’ll need it.”
Your face is as hot as an oven. “Thanks. Same to you.”
The clapper goes down. “Action!”
“Chefs,” Jae starts, “the judges have finished deciding. Let’s see who is our next Cooking God and who is getting ousted.”
His hand wraps around the handle of the cloche, and you hold your breath in anticipation. The sound of your pulse in your ears is deafening. You’re not one to wish for someone else’s downfall, but you hope that it’s Felix’s mille feuille underneath. Everything you have worked for today all comes down to this. You can’t lose. You knit and twist your fingers behind your back, and keep your eyes glued to Jae’s hand.
When you see the dish on the table and the judge’s impassive faces, you begin to cry. Your chest tightens, your throat suddenly has a cherry pit lodged inside, and your vision goes blurry. How funny that you start the round with laughter and end in tears. It’s all too poetic for such a moment.
“Chef Felix,” Jae solemnly says, “you have been ousted. Judges?”
You don’t hear what the judges have to say about Felix’s dishes from the past three rounds. All you can focus on is the wood paneling of the judges’ table as you stifle your bubbling sobs. It shouldn’t be too difficult, right? You suppressed all your laughs in the beginning, so this should be easy.
“It was an honor to cook for you today, judges,” Felix says after he has received all of their critiques. He turns to you and wraps in a warm embrace, making your flimsy grasp on your emotions disintegrate. “Congratulations. I knew you would win when I saw your dessert.”
“Thank you so much,” you whisper.
After he heads down the hallway to the green room to film his exit interview, the cameras are back on you and solely you. The judges give you encouraging smiles, Chaeryeong’s the largest.
“Chef Y/N, you are the new Cooking God,” Jae announces. “Congratulations.”
You wipe away your tears with the back of your hand in a vain attempt to make yourself appear more composed. However, when the applause begins, it all comes pouring out — your thanks, your appreciation, your rambles about the bakery you have planned.
“I’ll be sure to come by,” Chaeryeong says. “Your tart was your best dish of the day. If you put it on the menu, I’m definitely going to buy one.”
“Your creativity in all of the rounds was amazing,” Jihyo adds, “but dessert is really where you shine. Give us a call when your bakery is open.”
Taecyeon compliments your appetizer and also agrees with the other two. “Chef, you should be proud of yourself.”
You beam through your tears. For a momentous occasion, you half expect confetti to start raining down and a symphony to start playing. However, there is only production orchestrating a few more shots of you shaking hands with everyone and a closeup of your face. The small celebratory scene is over soon as you are led to another room for your victory interview. This one is easy, simply you expressing your joy and partially promoting your future business.
When you’re done, you are told to wait in the green room while they set up some paperwork for you to fill out later. To your surprise, Felix is there as well, sitting at the table with a tired look on his face. His water bottle is empty, and there is an unopened one next to it. When he sees that you are there, he lights up.
“Hey there, Cooking God,” he says. “Congrats again.”
“Hey. Thanks again.” You sit across from him and slump against the table. “I thought you would have left already.”
“I’ve got some paperwork to do and one more interview to finish up. You know,” he says, propping himself up on his arms, leaning forward, “I never got to try your tart. I was really looking forward to it.”
You can see yourself reflected in his eyes. He has very pretty eyes. “I never got to try your mille feuille either. Do you think production will be mad if we sneak back in and eat the leftovers?”
“We might have to dig through the trash, but I’m down.” He pulls back. “What are you going to do with the prize money, if you don’t mind me asking? I don’t think Jae asked you about it during the judging.”
So you tell him all about it. You tell him of the empty building on the corner of the street you have been eying for the last year, the late night hours you have spent experimenting with recipes, the white banner and silver ribbons you have envisioned for the grand opening of your dream. He listens intently, nodding along and cracking smiles when you draw the details in the air.
“Wow, you’ve got it all figured out already.”
“Yeah,” you agree, feeling flushed and breathless. “It’s been a long time coming.”
There’s a knock on the door, and a member of the production team pokes his head in. “Chef Lee Felix, we’re ready to shoot the interview now.”
Felix nods and stands up from his stool, taking the both water bottles with him. “I guess this is goodbye then. Good luck with everything.”
“What’s your number?” you blurt out before the nervous laughter starts up again. You just finished one of the most grueling cooking competitions in the country; asking someone for their number should be a cakewalk, but said someone also happens to be a highly esteemed chef. “I’d love for you to be at the grand opening.”
His mouth splits into a grin. He tears the label off of the empty bottle and asks the staff member if he has a pen. Then he scrawls down the digits and hands you the label, the fresh ink against the glossy paper shining underneath the lights.
“See you during the opening,” are his last words to you before he follows production out of the room.
You clutch the edge of the label and mouth the numbers to yourself, trying to commit them to memory. A needless action, but it feels right.
When you are called for paperwork and logistics, you carefully fold the paper and place it inside your chef jacket’s pocket, right by your heart. The check for eight million won — taxes unfortunately exist for prize money — goes in there as well.
Tumblr media
The grand opening is a grand affair: customers flocking to the street corner in droves, a giant banner and even a red ribbon celebrating the occasion, and display cases being emptied throughout the day. As promised, Chaeryeong and Jihyo show up to the opening. The day is nearly over when they arrive; only a few people linger around, buying last-minute treats. You decide to close for the night.
Even though the two celebrity chefs say they have finished filming a new episode, they are both in high spirits. They bring along a plaque for you to hang that reads “God’s Menu Approved,” and you are both mortified and thrilled. Chaeryeong wants you to put the plaque in the window, but Jihyo insists you have it behind the counter. However, you don’t really want it in either location. Your office seems like a wonderful place.
“How about a tart?” you ask to distract them. “On the house, of course.”
They nod enthusiastically at the offer, and you set down two familiar-looking ones. “As seen on God’s Menu, the Dessert Round Tart, chocolate with rose-flavored cream and candied jalapeños.”
The bell on the door chimes, and a voice you have not heard in months says, “Any left for me?”
“Felix!” you exclaim, rushing to him. He’s still in his chef’s uniform, and you can almost smell sriracha on him. “How are you here? I thought you said you had a shift.”
He shrugs and smiles boyishly at you. It makes you all sorts of nervous, and your stomach flutters with something that is not laughter. “Surprise!”
“Let me go get you a tart,” you say as you lead him to the same table as Chaeryeong and Jihyo, both who recognize Felix from the show.
You head behind the counter and reach for the last tart left in your hidden stash of desserts. You saved three for the judges, but Taecyeon isn’t here. He is apparently in the midst of opening a new location, and you understand. After all, you’re doing something similar. It all works out in your favor though since Felix is. With more care than the previous two, you place the tart on a small plate and set it down in front of Felix.
“Here you go. Enjoy.”
He cuts into it with the fork and savors the first bite. “It’s even better than I thought it would be. This is amazing.”
“Definitely agree,” says Jihyo. Hers is completely gone, only the smallest crumbs left. “You’ve really refined it.”
Chaeryeong, mouth full of chocolate, can only nod in agreement. You smile, flattered by their compliments. After some pushing from the trio, you sit down with them to eat the leftover desserts from the day and to catch up. Chaeryeong and Jihyo are predictably busy with the filming of God’s Menu and overseeing their respective establishments. Meanwhile, Felix is still head chef of Levanter and has been tasked with adding something new to their menu. You tell them all about the beginning of the day and how a dog almost tore apart the low-hanging streamers outside. Felix sympathetically pats your hand. You then join in on the laughter, yours of which is more induced by his touch than the memory of the dog.
Some time later, Chaeryeong announces that she has to go, and Jihyo follows. You send them off with some lemongrass cupcakes and lie about where you will be displaying the plaque. No matter what, it’s going in your office where only you can see it. Felix stays around, and with everyone else gone, it’s just you and him.
“Hi,” you say, suddenly feeling shy. “You’re not leaving yet?”
He shakes his head. “I wanted to ask you something."
"Oh, what is it?"
"Since you still haven’t tried my mille feuille from the show and since Levanter needs a new menu item, would you want to help me sometime?” He pauses and grimaces at his words. “Wait, you’re probably busy with your bakery now and—”
“I’d love to,” you abruptly say. “Probably only taste testing though, if that’s alright. Business conflicts and all.”
Your favorite thing about Felix, you decide, is the way he lights up, the way the excitement emitting from him is palpable. With a tinge of red across his cheeks, he says, “I guess we’ll be seeing a lot of each other soon.”
You let out a short laugh. “I guess we will. I’m alright with that.”
“So am I.”

Ok i have a scenario:
A friend insists on walking reader home because reader got drunk. How would yandere 2pm react when opening the door and seeing the friend with drunk reader?
The friend can be of any gender lol whichever you prefer, but i am once again asking for a gender neutral reader sjdhhsh im sorry if thats too much to ask
As I said in an earlier post addressed to you, I don't qualify this as something that's very long, and you have a certain thing you need so do NOT apologize please! If anything it will be on me if anything cannot be delivered with a gender-neutral reader. It’s my job to make the reader as blank a slate as possible identity-wise
If they are living together I will assume they are in a relationship
A reminder/disclaimer: These are not the actual 2pm, but are more like characters! This isn't real! This is not good or healthy behaviour and the members would not do this!
Tw: yandere, murder, mentions of hypothetical assault on the reader (by the friend, not our men)
Jun. K/Minjun
Tumblr media
This man is not possessive, at least not for a yandere. He’s not the “I don’t want you to even talk to anyone else” kind of yandere. He is, however, protective. And he is pretty possessive over that role in your life. If your friend truly just walked you home and he is sure that nothing happened to you, he’ll be reluctantly grateful. However, next time he wants to be notified so he can head over to pick you up. Also, why were you getting drunk? Is there some issue on your life you need help with? And why were you getting drunk without him there? Were you just with this friend? He doesn’t like that, not one bit, but he can’t curb your freedom by telling you not to do that, right? But it’s so fucking dangerous out there and all of the world’s danger is multiplied several times when you get drunk... Maybe he could just suggest something...
“I don’t really like the idea of you drinking like this with just one other person. I’d like to be there next time. I know that may be asking a lot but it’s just dangerous out there, so please?”
If your friends is a lot bigger than you/could physically overpower you, and especially if they are a guy (bc whatever your gender-identity is, it is valid to be cautious around men especially) then all of his protective tendencies are magnified.
“Baby, why didn’t you phone me? I would have been there in an instant!”
“No, it wouldn’t have been inconvenient! You’re my whole world and I want to be the one taking care of you! Please, phone me first next time.”
And it’s a given that he’s also going to tenderly take care of you. You’re his number one priority!
Nickhun
Tumblr media
“What on earth have you been doing?”
He’s upset and and rather suspicious. First of all, you are not seeing that friend again. What were they thinking, letting your get this drunk? It doesn’t matter if nothing happened to you, he’s going to bring you inside immediately and probably slam the door in that friend’s face. He won’t be happy with you either, but he’ll place the brunt of the blame on your friend.
“I don’t want you hanging out with them anymore if this is what you two do together.”
If he has any reason to suspect that your friend got you drunk on purpose for nefarious purposes, shit is going to go down.
First, though, he’s going to take care of you. He comes off as rather commanding when he does it, but he knows what’s best, right?
Taecyeon
Tumblr media
When he first opens the door and finds you both on the doorstep he’s furious, and for a split second it does show on his face. His eyes widen, his nostrils flair, and his jaw tenses. However, with a twitch of his head a slightly tense smile appears on his face and he invites your friend in as he draws you into his arms.
He softly puts you to bed and briefly strokes your head, intending to come back later to tend to you. Then he comes back through to sit down with your friend and talk with them. His demeanor is calculating now. He studies them, learns about them, and tries to determine their intentions toward you.
As I said in his headcanons post, he’s pretty sure of himself and confident that you will choose him every time, but getting drunk with someone and them walking you home is not okay. You are being vulnerable with that person. That’s intimate. And he feels that that friend put you in a vulnerable state, so for their sake they should realize they are on thin fucking ice and they should choose their words carefully.
If he thinks you just got drunk together and there was nothing intentionally nefarious going on, then maybe nothing happens to them, but he’s still pissed at both of you. He tells you that if you want to drink, he wants you either at home or he has to be there, and anyone else present has to be someone he has vetted.
If he has the slightest inkling that you friend was going to try anything, even if they were just trying to get closer to you or separate you and him because they realize he’s a horrible partner, your friend is going to have something unpleasant happen to them. What happens will depend on what he thinks your friend’s intentions may be toward you, but the worse he finds them to be the more pain and terror your friend will experience.
The next morning he questions you as well.
“Why the fuck were you drinking with them?”
“Did they do anything to you?”
“Fuck, I bet they like you. Ugh! I’m gonna kill them!”
After he calms down he's going to passive-aggressively tell you off in a lilting tone
"You know you shouldn't have done that, right? And you won't do it again?"
He is also going to be quite touchy with you in a firm way. If you stop holding his hand he pouts, whines, and grabs your hand again with a tighter grip this time. And if he’s not trying to hold your hand, he has his arm around you or you’re locked in his embrace.
Wooyoung
Tumblr media
I almost feel bad for him. This man is crushed.
He so wants you all to himself. So, so, so much. Questions shaped by anxiety race through his mind
Why was Y/n with them?
Were they alone together?
Who are they?
What’s their relationship?
Why did they get drunk?
Oh shit, did anything happen to them?
Did that asshole do something?
He won’t ask you too much at first, especially if you are very drunk. First he’ll take care of you. Then the next morning he’ll question you about it. If he feels like you’re hiding anything he’s going to keep pushing and get pretty intense. If you play your cards right there’s a chance of you getting out of this and he’ll start feeling secure again, but this is the sort of shenanigans which could lead to him not letting you leave the house until he feels better. But once he’s really got you isolated, is he going to let you go ever again...?
Junho
Tumblr media
Oh my word he is pissed. Even if he recognizes this friend he’s going to react like “And who the fuck are you?” As in “Who the fuck are you to be walking Y/n home?” He’ll yank you inside, and just like Nickhun, he’ll slam the door in your friend’s face.
He’s going to be cold to you. When he gets mad he goes for the silent treatment first until he feels ready to talk to you again. Even if you’re drunk you will probably pick up on it.
“What’s wrong? What do you think? I just found you blind drunk with someone else!”
Even though he’s mad at you he’ll begrudgingly take care of you.
If he has any reason to suspect they could be competition for your romantic attention, he’s going to forbid you to see them again. He may even quickly put you to bed to rest and follow your friend. I can easily see him cornering them in an alley and giving them a quick couple of stabs in the abdomen, leaving them to hopefully bleed out as he heads home to tend to you, feeling a bit better.
If he is somehow 100% sure that you two are just friends and it was an innocent outing, he doesn’t want you two drinking together again, and whenever he sees them he’ll treat them coldly.
Chansung
If Wooyoung was crushed, Chansung is devastated. He’s worried about you and your relationship but he’s also absolutely infuriated at your friend. How fucking dare they pump your body full of poison! Even if going out was your idea, and you bought the drinks, it’s their fault. They must have influenced you.
He’s going to prioritize taking care of you. He’s going to get as much water into you as possible and do everything possible so that you aren’t hungover or anything in the morning. He’ll help you get ready for bed and make sure you go to sleep. All the while, he’ll be trying to find comfort in the fact that at least he’s the one doing all this for you, and hopefully the sober you will appreciate it tomorrow.
The next day he’s going to be so insecure. He wants all the reassurance possible. He’s going to be needy and clingy and he’ll want you in his sight and in his arms all day.
The next order of business is yet another murder. Before he kills them, he’ll interrogate them and find out what their intentions were. It won’t change much, but he’ll make the death a bit slower if he thinks they wished to do you any harm.

@bpdaf so this answer opened a can of worms (that I can call procrastination) and I wanted to address it, but with the limited characters in the reply function, I decided to answer it with a new post. Also sorry if this come as an attack, I promise it's not. I just became really curious if I had the wrong idea about the live-shooting system as I was ready to refute your points, but realized I didn't have enough knowledge to do so.
*also tagging @jahe, @yasmini24, @le-amarant as they also replied to my post and I figured maybe you were also interested in this (although it's really long and rambly, so I don't blame you for ignoring the post entirely). So yeah warning, this post is really long.
So I'm well aware of kdrama's live shoot system. But I did wonder if it was normal to start shooting 6 months before the first airing episode, as I was under the impression 6 months of shooting exceeded the standard duration of filming. But I couldn't actually refute it without some data to back that up. So I went to find data.
According to Wikipedia's page on Korean Dramas, they write: “As producing a series involves high expenses, production companies seek to shoot the episodes in the shortest time possible. In contrast to practices elsewhere, the first four episodes of Korean series are usually shot in advance, but the rest are shot continuously as the series is being aired.”
This fits in line with what I believed about Korean dramas live shooting system. They film a couple of episode ahead of time and then rest comes while it's still airing to fit with the audience response to it. Even preproduced dramas are sometimes reshot and re-edited while it's airing. But it didn't really say anything about the average filming duration for a drama or what shortest time possible was defined as. Probably because all dramas will aim for different things and given the content it can vary a lot how long it takes to film.
But I highly doubt it took Vincenzo 6 months to shoot something around 4 episodes and then crammed the rest into the 2 remaining months, as they knew from the start they had 20 episodes to fill.
So let's go through some other drama's shooting schedule to compare with Vincenzo.
I chose to limit the list to 2020 dramas (as they were likely affected by the pandemic) and tvN dramas, so it's the same broadcasting company as these dramas will likely share the same practices. Obviously with the amount I have included, I can't make any definite conclusions, but it does show a pattern.
*disclaimer I tried my best to accurately determine the shooting duration from when filming started to when it ended, but not all of these dramas had that information readily available, so I made do with the information I had at hand. This means some of these are just estimations.
So without further ado, here's the list:
Vincenzo:
May 2020, Director Kim Hee Won and writer Park Jae Bum teamed up.
July 2020, Song Joong Ki and Jeon Yeo Bin were considering the drama, while Ok Taecyeon had confirmed

2. It’s okay not to be okay
I couldn’t find the exact time shooting started, so these numbers are based between March and May, as I assume they didn’t shoot without Oh Jung Se being casted and while the table read photos were released in May, it could very well be they had started shooting before this.
February 2020 Kim Soo Hyun and Seo Ye Ji casted
March 2020 Oh Jung Se casted
May 8th 2020, first script reading photos released

Filming wrapped before last airing episode: 1 month
5. A piece of your mind
February 7th 2020, article of the first script reading
February 13th, first photos from drama unveiled
March 23rd, first episode aired
April 8th 2020, tvN announces that 4 episodes are cut due to low ratings
April 28th, last episode aired
Shooting time: 2-4 months
Shooting duration before first aired episode: 1-2 months
Filming wrapped before last airing episode: N/A (couldn’t find the exact time but they also axed four episodes and I don't know how much that affected filming)
6. Psychopath diary
*not affected by the COVID-19 pandemic
August 2019, first script reading
November 20th, first episode aired
January 9th 2020, last episode aired
Shooting time: n/a
Shooting duration before first aired episode: 3-4 months (assuming they started shooting shortly after the first table read)
Filming wrapped before last airing episode: n/a
7. Stranger /Secret Forest season 2

June 20th, 2020 lead actors wrapped filming (But I only found this article that says this)
August 15th 2020, first episode aired
October 4th 2020, last episode aired
Shooting time: 6 months
Shooting duration before first episode aired: 6 months
Filming wrapped before last airing episode: 4-5 months
What does this mean?
So the drama that comes closest to Vincenzo's filming duration is Hospital Playlist, but they also did things a bit differently. According to their Wikipedia, they only aired 1 episode a week to comply with 52-hour week system and to avoid overnight filming for the cast's and crews' health. So that would extend their shooting time. They also had the same amount of shooting time as Vincenzo before the first episode aired, i.e. 6 months, but Hospital playlist was only 12 episode drama so they also had less content to fill.
The rest of these dramas has a shooting time with 6 months or less. I will say though a lot of these dramas are not action-packed (also I haven't checked the budget for any of these), so comparatively they probably have different needs when filming. The drama that comes closest in terms of action is Stranger/Secret Forest, and it's also pretty close in shooting time with only 2 month different (that's counting from the first table read though). This was however pre-produced so they wrapped up filming before the first episode even aired (if my information is correct). Also this was a season two so they were operating under a little different circumstances.
But with the exception of Stranger/Secret Forest (preproduced) and Hospital Playlist(tried to work with humane working hours), none of this drama has a 6-month filming duration before the first episode aired. In fact some of these dramas don't even exceed 6 months of filming. Meaning they had less time to shoot before the first episode aired. Their production was probably also lower and none them did CGI (although I haven't watched all of them so feel free to correct me if I'm wrong) as that should also be accounted for.
So 8 months of filming is a lot to allocate to a drama, at least it's not the norm. There are other dramas that exceed that filming time that didn't make the list (Mr. Sunshine sorry too much research for at this point), but obviously that is not the standard.
Obviously I don't know how the filming was divided, how many of the episodes they had filmed before the first one aired. I don't know how many of the episode scripts were written before it aired. But I can see that even with the live-shooting, Vincenzo has some very uneven scheduling that doesn't align with how the rest of these dramas did their scheduling and airing. None of the mentioned dramas had any delays (in airing, I can't be sure about filming as some of them are probably affected by the pandemic), and yet Vincenzo did, even though they had spent more time filming before the first episode aired.
Also, most of these dramas wrapped up filming with more than a week to spare before the final airing, with It's Okay Not To Be Okay coming the closest to the airing date (with the ones where I know the date when they finished shooting), but they also only had 1-3 months of filming before the drama actually started airing so much less time than Vincenzo. And although they didn't have CGI, they did have the animations for each of the fairytales which I don't know how long it took but I can imagine it took some time.
So then I looked up another drama not by tvN but by Park Jae Bum:
Good Manager/Chief Kim
December 15, 2016 first script reading
January 25, 2017 First episode aired
March 30, 2017 Last episode aired
I couldn't find the date they finished filming, but given they only started a month before airing (honestly I felt super sorry for the cast and crew when I saw these dates), I am assuming the hit the last airing date pretty closely with filming, and that would give them 3 months of filming roughly. And they also had 20 episodes like Vincenzo.
I haven't seen this drama myself, so I can't say anything about the writing quality, but here Park Jae Bum was working under even more time pressure and was able to deliver the ending on time and as I hear, it was pretty a pretty good ending (but I haven't seen it, so feel free to refute me). And yet he couldn't do it for Vincenzo. So I do think something happened with ending, whether it was Park Jae Bum just took a long time writing it for whatever reasons, or someone/thing (be it something personal, writer's block, execs not liking the ending etc.) actually interfered and that prolonged the writing or entirely changed the ending.
Anyway this became too long, so let me just end it here.
I wish I had time to make a more comprehensive list so I could be more definite in the conclusion because obviously I can't base everything of the schedule of 8 dramas that also vastly different in production quality, genre and content.
So yeah I might have just wasted the last three-four hours making something that doesn't even make sense. But hey, at least I'm less prepared for the exams now, good use of time. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

anon i genuinely laughed out loud oh my godddd
you’re so right, i’m not gonna lie when i first saw that scene my mind went elsewhere too especially with the romantic lighting (even the director was like ‘it’d be great if this was a kiss scene’ and taecyeon actually went in for it) i wouldn’t even blame people. i’ve heard from several people that they wish they were kwak dong yeon in that scene
but knowing how some people are, them being brothers won’t stop them

When Another Idol Fancies You ~ 2PM Reaction
Jun.K:
“Don’t leave my side again,” Minjun instructed closely into your ear as he walked past you, sliding his hand into yours, “people should mind their business.”
“What’s happened?” You questioned, not a surprising sound of frustration in Minjun’s voice, catching his eyes looking around the room carefully.
With a deep breath, he finally looked to you. “Minho was asking if we’d broken up because we weren’t stood together, why does something like that mean a breakup?”
“He was probably just trying to be nosey,” you tried to suggest, but Minjun’s head shook with his suspicions rising as to what was going on with the figure across the room.
“He was asking to make a move,” Minjun groaned, “I know that he fancies you.”
“That’s ridiculous, there’s others that I bet he fancies.”
Minjun’s head shook, picking up on the signs from Minho. “No one in this room is better looking than you, I can’t blame the guy.”
“He might fancy me, but that doesn’t mean that I’m going to go anywhere near him,” you assured Minjun, “trust try and ignore it.”
“You promise me that if he comes near you that you’ll come back to me.”
“I promise, but you’ve got nothing to fret over.”
Tumblr media
Nichkhun:
“Why’s Nichkhun leaving you all alone?” BamBam enquired, coming up alongside you and throwing his arm over your shoulders, “that’s not fair of him.”
“He’s just going to be a moment,” you tried to tell BamBam, only to feel him pull you even closer towards him, “he’s not really left me alone like you think.”
BamBam’s head shook, offering you a confident smile. “I’m just saying, in a place like this with so many idols around you’ve really got to be careful about who you spend time with.”
Your heart settled as Nichkhun returned a few moments later, looking between the two of you. “I’m not interrupting anything, am I? You two look rather comfortable there.”
“Why are you smiling about this?” You challenged, “he’s acting strange Khun.”
“I know, he’s doing exactly what I asked him to do to you.”
Your eyes shot across to BamBam who was laughing to himself too, “why are you two pranking me like this? Bam I thought I could trust you.”
“I’m sorry,” he sniggered, holding his hands up innocently, “Khun told me to prank you into thinking that I fancied you, so I did.”
“You’re constantly pulling pranks on me, it’s about time that I got revenge.”
“I’m definitely going to get you back for this.”
Tumblr media
Taecyeon:
“You know, there’s loads of other people that he could stare at, it doesn’t have to be you,” Taecyeon murmured through gritted teeth, “I should go over there.”
“Don’t do that,” you frowned, reaching across to take a hold of Taecyeon’s hand, “I’m sure soon enough he’ll get bored, just don’t give him any reaction.”
A sigh came from Taecyeon as he tried to keep composed, “Sungjae knows that we’re together any happy, so why is he trying to get under my skin like this, cause some drama?”
“Just let him stare, and let’s rub in the fact that you get to be with me, and he doesn’t,” you tried your best to suggest, “play him at his own game if you want to Taec.”
“That’s a good idea,” he mused, “it might finally make him look away from you.”
“I’m sure no one in this room wants to see you kiss me.”
Taecyeon’s shoulders shrugged as he leaned forwards and pressed a kiss to your forehead, “if he carries on staring, I’ll keep going.”
“Relax,” you grinned, resting your hands against his arms, “there’s a difference between fancying me and getting to be with me.”
“I’m never taking you for granted again knowing people like him are around.”
“I’ve never felt like you’ve done that anyway.”
Tumblr media
Junho:
“Is Junho not supposed to be looking after you?” A surprising voice asked you as they came up alongside you, keeping you company.
“He’s gone to the toilet,” you responded, spinning around to notice Yoseob walking towards you, resting rather closely to where you were sat at the table.
You tried your best to ignore him until at last Junho came back across to you. “Everything alright?” He asked, noticing the look of panic that was on your face, “can we help?”
“Don’t worry,” you told Junho as Yoseob quickly left the two of you alone as he realised that Junho was there, “nothing happened whilst you were gone, I just ignored him.”
“But if I had been any longer,” Junho sighed, “he could have tried something.”
“You can’t think about things like that though Junho.”
His shoulders dropped as you squeezed his hand, “I knew that he fancied you, he’s a smart guy waiting until I wasn’t around.”
“It’s a good job that you came when you did,” you encouraged, “and I’m sure that he knows now not to try again too with you around.”
“I barely even got the chance to say anything before he scampered.”
“That was probably for the best knowing you.”
Tumblr media
Wooyoung:
“Y/N’s beautiful, right?” Wooyoung spoke up, glancing across to Donghae as he noticed him staring in your direction across the busy room.
“I can’t say that I noticed,” Donghae dismissed, faltering as he spoke and quickly looking in any other direction but yours, “but you seem to think so.”
Wooyoung’s eyes rolled, seeing straight through Donghae, moving past him and straight across to you. “What’s wrong?” You asked, feeling Wooyoung grab you.
“Why do people feel like they can stare at other people’s partners,” he muttered to himself, “I knew Donghae was watching you, but he pretends like he’s innocent.”
“Was he innocent?” You asked, “although your face is telling me the answer.”
“It’s so obvious that he fancies you Y/N, it’s stupid.”
You smiled back at him, taking a hold of his hand, “he knows that you’re with me though, there’s no way that he would try anything.”
“You never know,” he murmured, glancing briefly across in Donghae’s direction, “it’s better to be safe at these sorts of events.”
“Does that mean that you’re not letting me out of your sight tonight?”
“Spot on, I’m not letting any guy near you.”
Tumblr media
Chansung:
“Is this seat taken?” A voice asked, placing their hand on the back of the chair beside you before either you or Chansung had managed to answer.
“It is,” Chansung bluntly replied as he looked up to see Yunho trying to sit down beside you, “haven’t you got other people that you can sit with?”
As Yunho quickly excused himself, your wide eyes looked back to Chansung with a chuckle. “I have never seen you be that serious around anyone, what was that all about?”
“I’ve heard rumours that he fancies you, there was no way that I was going to let him sit there,” Chansung sighed with a shake of his head, “he can try, but he won’t succeed.”
“He could have just wanted to sit,” you argued, “and say hi to us both.”
“No way, he had that look in his eyes of love Y/N.”
Your eyes rolled at how serious Chansung was, “there’s no way that that’s possible, he was probably just being friendly, that’s it.”
“Stop pretending as if someone can’t fancy you,” Chansung warned, “you could do a whole lot better than Yunho anyway.”
“Isn’t that something that I should get to decide rather than you?”
“Just trust me for once, I’m your best friend remember.”

I didn’t expect part 2 so soon 😭😭 Thank you😭😭
Jeongin and Y/n are so cute ☺️ I hope she feeds next time cause OOUUFFFF I can only imagine the heartbreak if she gets closer with him only to end up losing her control 😳 I’m not even gonna get into any heartbreak that could come from Hyunjin finding out ahsjdkwjsjd I will live in denial until (if?) we cross that bridge 👀
To be honest I really love that she’s gotten close with Felix’s sire, almost like her great, great grandfather 😅 She definitely needs him with Hyunjin being so dismissive and mean (which truly breaks my heart cause Hyunjin is my ult🥲) it’s such a shame Hyunjin behaves so coldly towards her but, based on his character, I can totally understand why he’s that way... coming into the vampire life from a life of royalty may have went to his head BUTTTT being forced to turn Y/n? So much responsibility, that lasts so long to make matters worse, thrust upon him when he absolutely didn’t want it? I don’t think there are many people (even vampires) that wouldn’t be resentful and even mean, I almost feel bad for him, almost...🤭 I’m realizing I let my bias heart write that but I stand beside it 🤣
I so so love this story and I’m excited to find out where it goes 👏🏼👏🏼❣️ You’re writing is very smooth, I enjoy it very much 🥰
Yeah, I have almost the whole story written lol. This one's been really easy for me to write and it's been so fun. I've been trying not to just post it all at once cause I love it so much and I'm super excited to see everyone's reactions to what happens.
I love Y/N and Jeongin they are both baby and honestly Y/N would probably die if she ever hurt him. (You'll just have to see what happens in the coming parts lol)
Taecyeon would kinda be like her great-great-grandfather lol it's so funny to me to think about it like that. I love Hyunjin and it hurts me too, (especially with what's coming) but it will be a happy ending!! I promise!! I kinda can't blame him to a point though too cause he was kind of forced into this and it's a lot to take on. Could he be handling it better? Yeah. But I don't blame him for being a bit resentful.

2pm Reaction - You Breakup With Them to Spare Them From Worrying
Requested by anon: Hello. I have a super angsty 2PM request. They're reeling from a sudden breakup with Y/N. They have no idea what went wrong and Y/N has gone silent. A mutual friend ultimately reveals why. They're horrified to learn that Y/N, a journalist, has taken a very dangerous assignment in a different country. Such is the danger that they broke up with the guys in order to spare them in case anything goes wrong. (Y/N still loves them very much, but doesn't want them to be consumed with worry.)
Jun.K: Minjun would be lost as towards why you broke up with him. He was sure everything was going well and you seemed to believe the same but then you just left. It ate at him. What did he do wrong? What didn’t he do? Eventually a friend of yours would tell him why you broke up with him. He would be heartbroken that you would ever think you would be a burden for taking an assignment in a dangerous place. Worrying, yes, but not a burden. He would try and reach out immediately. He didn’t want to lose you, and he wouldn’t, not without a fight.
“I don’t care if you don’t want to worry me, I love you too much to just let you go!”
Expansion - Burdens
Tumblr media
Nichkhun: Much like Jun.K, Nichkhun would also be at a loss. Unlike him though, he would be falling into a deeper pit of depression much quicker. He’d imagined you being the person he would marry and have a family with, and now you were gone. And even worse, he didn’t know why. Your friend had sworn to not say a word, but even they couldn’t stand seeing him breaking from the inside out. As soon as he found out he was trying to find a way to get to you. He didn’t care how dangerous the place was, he had to let you know that that was not a reason to just throw everything away.
“I love you. I don’t care how dangerous this is, I would rather be happy for however long we have than not be happy at all.”
Expansion - Outspoken
Tumblr media
Taecyeon: In Taecyeon’s case, it would leave him with a lot of anger. Not necessarily at you, but at himself. What had he done to ruin things? Were you just not happy and didn’t want to tell him? It was a dark time. Your friend constantly told him that wasn’t the case and eventually let the truth slip out. He would be stunned by the truth. It threw him off guard to know that that was your thought process. He would find a way to reach you and let you know that he would rather hurt knowing that he had truly loved and been loved, than not have been loved at all.
“I would rather be in pain knowing I loved you with all my heart and you loved me just the same, than to think the latter.”
Expansion -  Missing
Tumblr media
Wooyoung: I feel like out of everyone, Wooyoung might take it the worst. He would be so lost and broken about whatever it was that caused you to leave. He would blame himself for not taking enough time to be with you, for not caring for you enough. It was tearing him apart. Your friend wouldn’t be able to just stand and watch and would quickly tell him the truth. It would break him even more, but he would find some peace before he made up his mind to find you. He couldn’t lose you.
“I can’t lose you. I know it’s your job and I know it’s dangerous, but let me worry instead of hurting because I don’t have you by my side.”
Expansion - Care Packages
Tumblr media
Junho: Junho would also react in a similar way to Taecyeon. He’d be harboring some anger but he knew that he could hold it against you for leaving him. He did have a taxing job. And then your friend told. Now he would be angry. It didn’t make sense that you would make a decision like that on your own. You two were a team - even if you were just dating. He would find a way to get to you and you would be shocked. But he was adamant on making this work...after he argued about the decision you’d made.
“This is something that concerns both of us. I’m your boyfriend. Please don’t push me out.”
Expansion - Tense Reunions
Tumblr media
Chansung: Personally, I feel like it might take a while for him to really process it. You’d left him in shock. And he would stay in that state for a while before everything kicked in and he was just hurting. Your friend - who had told you to just talk it out instead of just breaking up - would feel pity and a bit of guilt. That’s why they told him the truth. He would try his hardest to find you and waste no time in getting to you. He wasn’t giving up on you two and he would try his hardest to make sure you didn’t either.
“I need you in my life. I would rather love now than not love at all.”

Tumblr media
“You might not want to pull that trigger, Eunhee-ah.”
summary ⟶ Due to busy schedules for both individual, Eunhee came by to say goodbye since he will be enlisting the next month but it seems Junho has more to say to her.
timeline ⟶ April 2019
characters : Ahn Eunhee, Lee Junho (2PM), Nichkhun (2PM)
a/n ⟶ slight angst but a fluff ending, unrequited love but there’s a hope (?), mention of Got7 Jinyoung, slightly a long post
Tumblr media
“Are you sure you want to do this, Eunhee-ah?” Nichkhun commented as he parked the car in front of where the girl had told him her next destination, eyeing onto a group of camera crew.
She followed his gaze as she finally saw whom the camera crew were shooting, to see Junho sitting on a bench with a cake and a plush toy.
“Yeah, I just want to bid my farewells to him.” Eunhee muttered, turning towards Nichkhun as the older man could only nod.
Nichkhun wanted to say more but he figured out Junho had to man up and say his own words to the bodyguard-investigator.
He wanted to indicate towards Eunhee that Junho had some sort of feelings towards her a few months back but after seeing how she interacted with a member of Got7, Nichkhun held back his words.
The older men quickly told Junho about it and it seems Junho was truly heartbroken which is normal for every unrequited love, hence Junho started to avoid Eunhee.
“You know Junho—
“Likes me? Yeah, I realized that,” Eunhee cuts Nichkhun’s word, turning towards the older one as his face went frozen. He didn’t expect her to say that at all. Nichkhun tried to mouth out words but it turned out that he couldn’t say anything.
He was too shocked to hear how her words came out - she sounded confident. Nichkhun thinks he couldn’t cover it up because she isn’t wrong.
Eunhee knows that he was avoiding her - it was so obvious that Eunhee just accepted it and she somehow got to know that Junho had developed feelings for her after analyzing how Junho interacted with her all this while.
Eunhee was too blind and distracted with work to realize this, but the real question is, does Eunhee develop feelings for Junho too?
The answer is obviously a yes. It was impossible not to have feelings for Lee Junho. The way he portrays himself makes Eunhee attracted to him.
The day where she accompanied Junho home after attending the wrap-up party for ‘Just Between Lovers’ and till then, Eunhee was always there for him in unexpected timings and Junho somehow called this fate, bumping into each other for more than 3 times in the company building.
Eunhee learned that Junho was rather shy back then. She noticed the way he would always initiate to greet her with a shy smile while trying her very best to make eye contact with her.
Until one day Junho mustered up his courage to have small talks with Eunhee as it turned into more.
One fine day Eunhee received a text from unknown number - which Eunhee asked a lot taken aback questions incase the unknown number was a sasaeng or someone that is a threat then to be revealed it was Junho himself who get her number form his manager, asking her out for lunch or a cup of coffee, it somehow turned into a regular routine.
Both getting to know more in depth about each other and Junho finding out Eunhee is Got7’s bodyguard.
“You might not want to pull that trigger, Eunhee-ah.” Nichkhun warned her, his face somehow turned seriously which he showed rarely - he only showed his serious expression when in meeting with the executives ever since 2PM are appointed as the directors of JYPE.
“He knows that Jinyoung somehow too had feelings for you. We all know, some of us saw how the Got7 boys looks at the 7 of you,” Nichkhun’s continued as his words came out soft yet firm as he sees Eunhee’s eyes went downcast, leaning back against the passenger seat as she was having her own thoughts.
Nichkhun knows how she feels. It’s strange that he would gain friendship with someone who isn’t from the entertainment industry. In fact he was happy when he made friends with The Bloody Roses’ girls.
It all started with just one schedule that Eunhee had to accompany Nichkhun till now as friends who accompany each other to other member’s schedules or places one needs to go.
Eunhee was torn apart from Junho and Jinyoung.
“If things went bad for me and Junho, would you still be my friend?” Eunhee questioned towards Nichkhun as he chuckled softly, shaking his head. His hands went towards her hair, ruffling it slightly.
“Eunhee, we’re not kids. We’re adults! And of course we would still be friends - and I know Junho really well. He wouldn’t unfriend you just because you are going to reject him,” Nichkhun replied honestly with a weird look - hearing how weird Eunhee sounds with her statement.
Eunhee’s eyes slowly widened, hearing his words.
“How did you…” Eunhee trailed off, seeing Nichkhun smiling a little.
“I know you somehow had feelings for Junho but I guess you spent more time with Jinyoungie - Got7’s Jinyoungie, not our JYP-pdnim—
“Nich, that’s.. I don’t even want to think about it. That’s gross..” Eunhee made a disgusted look causing Nichkhun to gasp slightly while hitting Eunhee’s arm jokingly.
“He’s our boss!”
“Not anymore, he’s not exactly boss-boss, you get what I mean— okay, alright! I think they are wrapping up! Thank you for accompanying me Nichkhun, pee chai,” Eunee bowed to him slightly, earning a chuckle from him as it was a cue for her to get out of his car.
“Update me after seeing him! If I didn’t reply, I might be in Thailand custom’s,” Nichkhun informed her, seeing her looking at her phone - analyzing the timing since she was aware of Nichkhun’s schedules that day and the day where she would be fetching him when he returns back.
“Yes, you will be in Thailand custom’s. Drive safely,” Eunhee greeted him off as he could only waved towards her - driving him as Eunhee looked towards his car slowly disappearing from sight.
Tumblr media
From far, she could already see Junho sitting on the bench alone while he was checking on his phone. Eunhee waved towards the camera crew people as they acknowledged her presence - and that’s when Junho looked up from his phone to see some of the crew waving towards a certain direction, also indicating her to have small talks.
Junho turned towards where they were waving at, to see the girl that had been on his mind since the day he had met her for the first time.
His legs quickly jolted up, slightly running towards her with a smile that he was trying to hide.
“Eunhee! What are you doing here!?” Junho exclaimed slightly as Eunhee gulped slightly, her eyes glancing towards the crew that was eyeing to both of them with cheeky smiles.
“Urm.. can I talk to you, privately?” Eunhee’s voice came out softer than she expected, earning a reaction from Junho as he was examining her expression. He slightly glanced towards the staff crew, before turning towards Eunhee.
“Alright then, follow me,” Junho instructed as he told his manager that he would be in his own car with Eunhee to have a private moment. Junho wordlessly led Eunhee to his own car with Eunhee sitting on the passenger seat while Junho sat in the driver’s seat.
“Isn’t this… too private?” Eunhee commented, seeing Junho turning his body towards Eunhee with a raised brow.
“Well, this is the safest place since we are facing the walls unless you want to go public—
“No! Of course, not! Do you want to get unnecessary rumors and scandals!?” Eunhee exclaimed, causing Junho to chuckle - his eye smile showing.
“I don’t mind,”
“Junho.” Eunhee dead-panned, seeing Junho leaning against the seat as he turned towards her with a playful shrug - with a smile unknowingly formed on his lips.
He was obviously lost in her features.
That’s how bad Junho fell for her.
“There’s a reason why I came here,” Eunhee decided to bring the original topic to why she is there that causes Junho to sit up, his eyes still making eye contact with her.
Junho’s face fell as he gazed into her expression, Junho is great at reading other people’s expressions - he was starting to doubt himself. He regretted not telling her the truth and he knew he was too late.
“You’re in a relationship with Jinyoungie?” Junho whispered and Eunhee’s eyes slowly widened. She could only look at him in disbelief while trying to say out words but instead, silence filled the car.
“Junho—
“I knew it, actually. I guess I was the slow one. I should have made the first move.” Junho confessed with a sad smile that made Eunhee’s heart torn into pieces.
“It’s understandable actually. I mean, I see it too. The way you looked at him and the way he looked at you - although the two of you weren’t that touchy in public, which I am thankful for.” added Junho with a slight chuckle, his eyes never breaking eye contact with Eunhee who was being silent.
“I didn’t blame him, nor did I blame you. It’s just childish, isn’t it? That’s what Nichkhun hyung and Taecyeon hyung said. We promise not to stir any unnecessary drama or hatred towards each other in our own company. We are a family, they say,” Junho continued, his eyes finally turned away with a small sigh.
“I treat Jinyoung like my younger brother so… God, wait. I’m sorry, it’s not that you are unnecessary.. I mean—
“Junho! I.... I’m not in a relationship with Jinyoung!” Eunhee finally cuts his words - causing Junho to snap towards her with widened eyes.
“Not now,” Eunhee muttered slightly, earning a small, sad smile from Junho. He knew what she meant - Junho knew she was interested in Jinyoung but he guessed Eunhee hadn't made a thought of being together with his junior.
Junho then realized what he had said.
“I guess you have finally known my true feelings then,” Junho confessed and Eunhee smiled towards him, but soon it faded.
“We.. we’re still friends right? I don’t want our friend—
“Eunhee, you should know that I’m not young. You know very well that all 2PM members are falling into the less than 40s category. We are old and mature,” Junho informed her as Eunhee rolled her eyes slightly, while tilting her head.
“40s or less than that aren’t considered old. 90 years-old is old,” Eunhee dead-panned as she folded her arms, earning a chuckle from Junho - he knew he can’t be all sad when it comes to her, Eunhee has ways to make him laugh in every situation.
As Eunhee was about to say more, a knock was heard on the window to see Junho’s manager - indicating to him that he has to get ready to leave for another schedule.
“Urgh.. I really want to say and talk with you more,” Junho muttered and Eunhee finally let out a smile - gesturing to him to come out of the car then followed by herself.
Junho proceeded to ask her more about Eunhee’s schedules in the near future, realizing she was getting really busy till the day he enlisted.
“You know I came here to wish you goodluck for your enlistment but you cut me off with you giving me a confession,” mentioned Eunhee as she stood in front of Junho in an area where people couldn’t see them yet they were near the staff crew.
“I know. Thank you for coming all the way here although you didn’t need to,”
“You know I have to. You mean a lot to me as a close friend,” Eunhee smiled softly as she was met by Junho gripping onto his heart while making a hissed jokingly.
“Ouch! I’m close-friend zoned!” Junho playfully whines, causing Eunhee to chuckle while hitting his arm. The two proceeded to laugh and giggle due to hearing each other’s laughters.
Eunhee’s laugh drifted off as she turned her gaze towards his eyes, as she decided to make a first move by engulfing him into a side hug.
“I’ll see you when you return back,” said Eunhee softly, waiting for Junho’s response as she was instead met by Junho engulfing her with a tight hug - causing her legs to stumble backwards but due to Junho’s strong arms, he managed to make the both of them stood still.
Eunhee could hear a sigh at the back and when she could feel Junho pulling away from her, instead Junho stopped inches away from Eunhee’s face, gazing at her eyes - before giving a soft kiss on her cheek.
“Do I still have a chance?” Junho whispered and Eunhee’s eyes fell towards his lips then towards his eyes.
“If you are willing to wait for me,” Eunhee answered softly - she didn’t elaborate more but if Junho was clever enough and if he was into literature, he would know what she meant.
Junho finally let out a sincere smile, after seeing one from Eunhee as she nods before walking away.
“Eunhee-ah!”
Eunhee stops at her tracks, before turning towards him.
“Good luck on your future endeavours! I’ll be back,” Junho slightly yelled since they were a little far from each other. Eunhee frowns slightly, letting out an amused chuckle.
“Just like your song- 2PM’s song ‘I’ll be back’?” Eunhee tilted her head, her smile automatically shown.
“Yes! I’ll be back!” Junho exclaimed jokingly with him posing, the way he sings his lines in the song.
Eunhee chuckles before waving towards him, as she took a few steps backwards before finally turning her back towards him with a smile on her face as she walked off.
