tommy...okay, well he did know how he got here.

he'd been grabbing some wood, seen a weird looking portal, and without thinking; he'd stepped into it. honestly, generally considered a stupid move, but what should he have done? thought before he acted?

ha...haa.

of course not.

he'd toppled into some small room, slamming into some cleaning supplies, and what seemed to be potions, a few of which fell onto him. he made a loud noise of shock and surprise, and heard a sudden explosive noise.

immediately, he went rigid, tail wrapping around his waist as he shrunk into the wall. as if understanding his desire to hide, he felt his skin shift a little, mottled greys blending into the cement he was pressed again.

of course, his clothes didn't change with it, so really, the only difference was his hands and face.

when the door swung open, he was greeted with the sight of a heavily armored and, seemingly armed, man. he was tall, with a mask like a skull, and for a long moment he stared at tommy. just barely, he could see his eyebrows furrowing.

he kept his gun trained on tommy, and muttered something. tommy's ears twitched, trying to get a handle on whatever the hell he was saying, but he couldn't manage it in time.

the man grunted an affirmative, and suddenly surged forward, raising his gun and slamming the butt of it onto tommy's head.

he was dreaming, he was sure of it, standing on a subway track. across, his brother-- no, a simulacrum of his brother, stood, frowning.

"tommy?" he said, a vivid, still bleeding slash across his chest, and a puff of white that seemed to be starting to build in his hair. "tommy, what are you doing here? you're not supposed to be here, i thought-"

a train rushes past, the noise of it causing tommy to jolt awake, the sound of it hitting the tracks still blaring in his ears.

he was in another cement room, this one less crowded, and his hands were cuffed to the table in front of him. he swallowed, feeling the slight ache in his lip at the tusks now growing there. just like his brother's.

he swallowed, and felt them recede back into his usual incisors, as the door opened.

"that is fucking horrifying." came a gruff voice, accent similar to his own.

"thanks." tommy said, voice holding more attitude than he'd really meant it to. great job, idiot, piss off your fucking captors. great. great. he was so fucked.

"what the hell is...that? what happened to you? ghost said you were doing some chameleon shit."

"where am i?" he asked instead.

the man pinched the bridge of his nose. "you, are at a safehouse, far away from where we found you. lucky for you, the brass are not yet aware of your existence, but if you don't start answering questions, you've got some scientists in your future."

white jackets, needles, muzzles and cages, thoughts of all that ran through his mind. except, this time, wilbur wasn't hear to peek in through the small basement window. this time, wilbur wasn't hear to use all of his strength to rip away the bars, and shove his thin body through to help tommy clamber out. he was alone. he was alone, and they were going to put him back-

"hey, hey kid, calm down." the man started to soothe, hand coming out to pat at his shoulder, but tommy just flinched away. his wrists rubbed something awful against the metal of the cuffs, and he let out a raw, choked noise. he could feel his body shifting around him, trying to find a safe foothold to keep tommy's panic at bay, but all it was doing was causing further pain to gather in his spine.

"no scientists, come on, it's okay." the gruff voice tried again, much closer now- kneeling in front of him. there was more light, aside from the fluorescent ones in front of him, and tommy swiveled his head to the door. there was another human man, the masked one again he guessed; even with his different mask.

"back off, price." he barked. the man who'd been trying to calm him down looked at the masked man for a long moment, before glancing back at tommy and stepping away. "hey, kid, what's your name?"

"what?" tommy forced out, voice not dissimilar to the gasp someone made when they came up for air out of a lake.

"name."

"tommy."

he sucks in a heavy breath, barely visible eyes twitching for a moment, and takes a few strides across the room.

"no scientists." he said, repeating what 'price' had said. "no tests. nothing like what you're used to." tommy watched with big eyes as the man strode closer, stopping a few paces away. "you need to calm down."

yeah, like it was that fucking easy. prick.

"we're not playing the 5 things game, because i'm pretty sure that wouldn't help, so you just need to fucking breathe, yeah? 4-5-6, or whatever breathing exercises work for you."

box breathing. puffy called it box breathing.

the first breath rattled through his chest, but the second came easier. he felt his skin slowly begin to slow in it's shudder, before calming altogether. it took a moment to realize feather wings had pulled their way out of his back, tucked close against his back under his hoodie.

"you got it." the man said, visibly hesitant. the feathers now on tommy's face bristled as he stepped closer.

"we need to ask you some things." he said finally, eyes flicking to price. "namely, what the fuck is going on with you?"

i feel like people dont realize how naive c!dream can be, hes so trusting in people and even when hes trying to be "evil" hes still deeply trusting in the systems in place

honestly, yeah--people have been talking about c!dream's fatal flaws today and honestly a lot of his problems in a lot of cases boil down to expecting people to act in ways that he thinks are more Reasonable, or acting within the letter of the law, etc, than they actually end up doing.

you see plenty of this in the disc war, starting from its very beginning (and how he gets pissed about being attacked out of nowhere + not getting an apology, and how much of the early disc war had to do with fake deals and the like) as well as the revolution (how he gives technical independence in exchange for the discs and then continually ends up wrapped up in conflicts around the discs, which evidently frustrate him because according to the terms of their agreement the discs are technically his, an argument he maintains for a long time. as early as that first conversation with lmanburg he's giving them legitimacy unintentionally by abiding by c!wilbur's requirements such as "you cant come into our land without armor but you can walk on the wall" and "you can't break any of our leaves" etc. in spirit speech he's blindsided by nlm going against the terms of the agreement that they just made in order to blackmail him, and that's what makes him snap--later on, during dethronement, it's c!sapnap and c!george reacting through a coup + assassination plot that has him specifically peeved because he's unhappy with their reactions to his trying to protect them + acting in line with the requirements they originally set for the kingship in the first place. his favors with both techno and wilbur end up completely unenforceable once he's in prison and really rely on good will more than anything, the idea that because he Did Something For Them they'll Do Something For Him Too even though there's literally nothing that he can do to force them to do anything for him at all. (which obviously then goes into inconsolable differences, where, for all of his supposed "power" that he was clinging to over c!wilbur, he sure couldn't stop c!wilbur from doing anything and still ended up doing everything that he said.) and of course, the prison is the biggest example--expecting c!Sam to operate within the prison protocol only for c!Sam "I am the law" Awesamdude to completely ruin that assessment week by week until he's inviting someone into the damn prison in full armor to torture him daily.

there are more examples that im sure people can articulate more clearly, but these are what i can think of on the top of my head. he's an evil asshole but he's an evil asshole who keeps forgetting that people aren't just going to Follow The Rules Just Because

Piss smp sounds like a joke BUT ISTG ITS NOT. My brother made the server when we were younger and he started the whole lore out of nowhere !!!! It was so fun but we havent touched the server in years, however i am DETERMINED to finish the story we started. Theres also other characters that i didnt make refs for bc,,, doc, father piss and cyrus were kinda the main characters!!!! In season one at least, they were definitely the main focus.

Who wants me to lore dump !!1!1!1! Istg these characters make me so. Insane.

i get hating the dsmp as a server but when people start hating on stories we loved for so long.. was lnv nothing was cwilbur hysteria nothing those characters are still good no matter how badly it all went down. idc!!!! even the characters of ccs i no longer like mean a lot to me besides the very obvious exception lol

Lee!prisondream:

-I feel like if there was any Ler!Dream before he went to prison it was alll gone once he entered it

-He knew there was no way of escape so he basically gave up and felt kind of vulnerable in a sense, all his weapons were gone, all his armor was gone, he really had nothing but himself and a clock (which was taken too eventually) so he felt more vulnerable in a sense

-With that feeling came the inescapable lee moods

-He spent a long time in that prison so with each passing night/minute/hour he had time to think and that thinking led his brain to come up with many tickly scenarios

-No one really came to visit so he had not really been around humans/the outside world, let alone have human contact so he was extremely touch starved

-His touch starvedness made his lee moods a lot worse too

-He would just lay down and let his mind wander with ticklish visions, ideas and more

-if his daydreaming got really bad he would twitch sometimes with it, for example he would move his head to the side into his shoulder as if he was being tickled on that side of his neck, or he would quickly twitch his knee as if someone just squeezed his kneecap

-If he was craving for touch he would trace his knee/leg with his finger or circle a nail around his neck, tracing his ribs to try and tickle himself or at the very least feel something like a human touch

-if sam was watching and saw him twitch to a certain point, like if he was deep in daydream land he would say something over the speaker or go and see him and ruin the daydream

-Poor Sam didn't know what was happening he would only say something to see if he was okay, don't want him sick or dying, not on Sam's watch

-Eventually he realized what was going on and only snapped him out of it to piss him off

-That was a very fun conversation, a smirking Sam with a very red Dream softly explaining why he was twitching

-By that point in time, after the conversation Dream started being a bother on purpose in the hopes that Sam would tickle him to teach him a lesson

-He would break stuff, try fake escape plans, and just overall be a menace

-Sam knew what he was doing and only snapped once and gave him a proper wrecking

-The story I made for that is Here: Secrity Watch if you like the headcannon and wanna read that type of story!, Ler!Sam,Lee!Dream

-Anywho! Back to the headcannons!

-Sam is pretty much his ler during that time! (Listen I don't like C!Sam but dang am I a sucker for ler!Sam! Help! Pfft! /lh /nsrs /hj)

-He's just one big lee! Probably worse then Wilbur once he came back!

-His ticklishness got worse too! The lee mood/constant lee moods that were not taken care of made his tickle spots more ticklish!

-He is one big tickle spot now! And he's all good with that for the time he is in the prison that is

-

Ler!prisondream:

-Once he first got in the prison he thought he was still this big bad ler and he was convinced he could get out of there if he just tickled Sam into letting him out

-He made plans to do it too and everything, multiple plans to wreck Sam but each one failed, he either didn't do it or Sam got away from him to quickly

-One time he broke something to get Sam in there to clean it or replace it, he was going to grab him and go for it but his eyes locked with the other, he realized how intimidating Sam looked and finally took note of how vulnerable he was/what the situation was and decided against it

-That was what started the lee moods

-However after he escaped the prison he got back into his old roots again and embraced the ler moods he once had before

-He was free and finally had control back! He needed to tickle someone and he needed to do it now! There was no time to wait

-He knew who he wanted to target first, he smirked at the thought, who else would he want to wreck, it had to be Tommy!

-A similar story I wrote for this is Off script if that helps make more sense of what I mean in these next few bullet points/dashes!

-By the end of his prison arc, before the escape he finally got the hold on Sam, wrecked him and threw him off balance, Sam was not happy about that one

-But it worked, that night he escaped with technoblade and a few others

-He pushed away from the rest of the group once on the outside and was ready and off to find the blonde child who started this whole thing in the first place

-Of course he was going to scare him first, He appeared periodically behind him, eventually saying his name in a evil tone before the kid finally engaged with him and the two took off in a chase

-After Tommy he went for Sapnap, George, Punz, Anyone in an eyes veiw, he hunted (haha) them down and wrecked them with delight

-Of course he did not hurt anyone or go over anyone's limits, it was his little way of saying "I'm baaackk~"

-He became a switch after that point, after he was fully back, especially after what happened in the prison, his full ler self turned into a even 50/50 spilt

-No one was complaining though, once everyone got used to him again it gave them all a chance to exact their revenge on him for everything

-Tommy especially, he enjoyed and took advantage of this news very much

-Dream most of the time fought back though, it depended on his mood and who was the ler

-Everything became a lot better after dream came back and instead of hurting everyone he tickled everyone, it made the atmosphere a lot lighter

-The wars stopped and if there was any war it would be a full on tickle war

-Prison definitely changed the green man in this case!

Sorry I know it’s been literal months but Hitting On 16 is still rotting away in my head-

Like it was SO good you guys I’m dying because we all took it as c!Wilbur’s arc right? And it was, BUT, it was also c!Ranboo’s arc. They both grew in such a dramatic healthy way from their friendship with the burger van and I can’t stop THINKING ABOUT IT!

By becoming friends with c!Ranboo, c!Wilbur learned to open up and trust somebody with blind faith and nothing more. Sure, at the beginning, he tested him to see how quickly he’d chicken out and abandon c!Wilbur, but pretty soon after he realized that wasn’t necessary and it was just c!Wilbur and c!Ranboo causing mischief to piss off c!Quackity.

One of my favorite things about c!Wilbur is how he acts the most like a friend when he’s not thinking about it. Giving c!Ranboo sweet nicknames, complimenting him, hyping him up, cheering him on, all these small things he doesn’t even think about because it’s just subconscious love for his friend. He becomes healthier with his bond with c!Ranboo and can actually chat and hang out without the constant fear of “being perceived as evil” taunting his mind.

And then there’s change on c!Ranboo’s end as well!! If you actually really truly think about it, being on c!Wilbur’s “side” of the burger arc was the first time he ever chose a side. Before then, c!Ranboo would do anything he could to help out all parties, even if they directly contrasted each other. He didn’t want to make anyone upset and would therefore make everyone upset by not being loyal to one specific group. Even with the cookie outpost, while he was primarily in c!Tubbo’s favor, he still tried to negotiate and more importantly get along with c!Quackity, which to his sadness didn’t work out.

But then in comes c!Wilbur, who is passionate and impulsive and paranoid and thinks nobody would ever willingly choose to stand by his side. And c!Ranboo wants to give him a chance, to prove that that thinking is wrong. And the only way to do that is to directly oppose c!Quackity.

So he does. c!Ranboo, no matter how risky or sketchy a plan c!Wilbur creates, always follows through. Even when it’s directly going against his good morals (like vandalizing the restaurant) or the people he cares about (like his own fucking husband!) And this isn’t because c!Wilbur manipulates him into following his every command, it’s because he cares about c!Wilbur!

While nervous at first, throughout their time together c!Ranboo genuinely begins to enjoy his company and following his crazy ideas. He goes along with him because he wants to keep an eye on his friend, or keep him happy, anything to prove to c!Wilbur that “I am hanging out with you because I want to, exactly what you thought no one could do.”

It’s through his friendship with c!Wilbur that c!Ranboo learns the values of dedicating to a specific side. Sure, it creates conflicts that are messy and not fun, but it’s worth it to fight for something you care about, which is exactly what he tells c!Tubbo! 

“For God’s sake, just give him a chance! I know that I haven’t always made the best decisions with who I trust but this time I swear to you that things may not always be as bad as you think! I mean, people change, people get better and if you never give them a chance to prove it you’ll be stuck hating everyone that has ever wronged you and you won’t have anyone left...”

He is directly opposing his husband to stand for what he believes in, which is c!Wilbur being a better person. And while I am convinced there is a little self-projecting going on in here that might’ve helped motivate him, it is in part because he believes in c!Wilbur.

The saddest part is that their own personal flaws outpower their friendship, which leads to their inevitable downfall. c!Ranboo is never able to outright express his feelings to another person despite them all expressing their feelings towards him, leading to him killing himself to make a point thinking that would hit c!Wilbur more clearly than just directly talking to him.

Then on c!Wilbur’s end, not having c!Ranboo clarify and reassure him that he did enjoy being friends with him, his self-hatred wins out and he convinces himself that c!Ranboo never wanted anything to do with him. That he was spending time with c!Wilbur against his own free will.

They both grew thanks to their friendship, but it wasn’t enough to fight against all of the other problems they both still need to work on. I just- THIS man- ARE YOU HEARING ME? HITTING ON 16 WAS THEIR STORY AGH!

c!wilbur ending rant (is that mf really american?)

So I'm assuming all the c!wilbur enthusiasts have heard the infamous 'minecraft utah is not real, and it's definitely not an allegory for death' line. Now to be entirely honest never did I once believe Wilbur fucking Soot would just end his story arc with anything but a REAL conclusion and considering the mf went for 'wow I'm a American, bye smp' I was confused for a bit. So he's dead. Makes sense for the way his character was and it was way more conclusive - completely understandable from cc!wilbur.

But in reference to this, is Wilbur actually American than? Or was that just some random ploy to lie to Tommy and convince him he wasn't going to die?

One, if he was American he'd be the fattest fucking hypocrite I've ever seen in my life and two, it wouldn't be much of an allegory if he was also half telling the truth. He spits all this shit about being a worker at a gas station for 16 years, which pissed me off cause if he had said 13, I would have assumed he was in reference to his Limbo years. Unfortunately not.

He also talks about his jacket and everything before coming to the smp. Which is hard to research into because going back to old streams feels pointless when it's very unlikely Wilbur planned this story right from the start. Overall him being American doesn't make much sense other than just for the brief pieces of info on his backstory we got within the stream.

So say he is lying, he isn't American. He's made up an allegory to appease Tommy. Rewatching the final streams was weird because of his whole rant on Utah and how he wasn't going to kill himself doesn't all line up with the allegory without some 'he's just lying' moments. So hypothetically it turns out to be a 'oh I am going to kms, but I'm using different language to not scare the shit out of you!'. We never found out what was in the book to Tommy (or that I know of) so we can't base anything off that either. And Tommy himself clearly believes that Wilbur went to Utah because he tells other people that. We hear Philza say 'Where did he go again? Utah was it?' when they meet up at his revival shrine thing. Unless Tommy deciphered this shit (maybe with the help of that book), but then why would he be lying to Philza? Don't think Tommy would wanna lie about the state of the guy's son to his face.

I think it's funny in hindsight, because within the qsmp stream Wilbur says that Minecraft Utah is an allegory, he says it triggers him, like he was bothered no one picked up on that fact and assumed he was being truthful? It wasn't particularly obvious because what the hell were we supposed to do with 'I worked at a gas station for 16 years,' no one can just claim 'oh that was clearly a lie' because we don't have much evidence to back that up. Most of the stuff cc's say about their characters we have to take literally because its a MINECRAFT SERVER.

His ending was something, you know. I feel like there's some overarching answer to it all but knowing Wilbur and his ARG, he's not big on giving away answers so everyone's gonna be clueless, atleast for a while. And plus I doubt anyone really wants to reference back to the 'glory days of the smp' because it went for so goddamn long and its rightfully over now. His ending definitely wasn't as badly executed as Tommy's, but god a lot of mixed signals there.

Something I do wanna say though, I see a lot of people say that Wilbur's 'born and raised in Utah' line was in reference to Lady Death or Kristin being his mother which is all well and good but I think it has deeper inclinations than that.

Wilbur was revived. He was quite literally raised from the dead. Thought that was a cool reference if it was indeed intended.

And than yknow, maybe Wilbur's just absolutely useless at tone, and he wasn't be sarcastic saying 'it's definitely not an allegory for death'. Who tf knows.

Anyway if someone else is more inclined to do research or knows something I've completely glossed over, please tell me! Love to hear from the Tumblr guys.

I Am Not Normal About CWilbur Btw. Honestly the only dsmp character i still care about and he means so much to me. the art and way people interpreted and wrote his character honestly helped me feel more hopeful about life and just being alive in general. which is kind of ironic considering how season 1 ended for him but You Know. I like to think he learned to love being alive after he left for utah.

OBSSESED. he deserved SO much more than what he got and I'm so pissed off at his ending, in my mind he and ctubbo left the dsmp together and live happily somewhere else now

No but fr everytime someone tries to recommend another mcrp to me and gets shocked when I say I am not interested I get a bit pissed because. Like. It isn’t the FORMAT of the DSMP story that appeals to me. It’s the characters. It’s the STORY of the DSMP that I am so attached to. It’s cbenchtrio and c Sam and c!Wilbur and c!quackity that have me so deeply invested. I’m not just gonna jump ship and never look back just because another story of the same format does things “better”. that’s silly. that’s honestly very ridiculous

By the way, c!Wilbur IRL again, for all the people who said that I had messed up:

I did. I did and it was wrong. But I did not mess up in some of the ways that I did in canon. My memories are very divergent, in some regards.

If someone vents about those things, it may be a good idea to take into account what I just said- I may recall things differently. Saying "yes, you did mess up and ruin shit for me" while well-meaning, can be disheartening and seem very rude, like how I took it.

However, consider the fact that as I said earlier- I may be a c!Wilbur IRL, but that doesn't necessarily mean that I am 100% like the source material. I definitely wasn't. While yes, I did lash out during psychotic episodes, it never was a jab directed at only Tommy.

Alongside that, I apologised when I felt the time was right, and that's when me and Tommy worked out a system.

If I needed help- perhaps being reality checked out of my villain delusion, I'd go to someone in Pogtopia and they'd help me, but if I needed my own time alone, I could use sign language to communicate it- as speaking and certain sounds were triggers for my BPD and could set me off. (for context, I knew sign language because me and Technoblade would have nonverbal episodes growing up (autism/adhd/other forms of neurodivergency being the cause), and Technoblade also had difficulty hearing at times.)

If Tommy needed help, he'd do the same thing, except mostly for him it was PTSD and PTSD-induced psychotic episodes and paranoia.

After Tubbo got hurt, I apologised to Tommy and owned up to how it was my fault, and that I shouldn't have let it happen. Tommy was mad at me for a while, and I allowed that- I understood why he was upset, and I didn't hold it against him for it or expect forgiveness.

Oh, and not only that- I didn't ask him to fight for me. I didn't ask anyone to. In fact, I had a fight with Tommy explaining why he was too young to be in a war. As Tommy does, however (/pos, /lh), he disobeyed. And while I didn't want him to fight, I'll love him forever for deciding to be my right hand man. I appreciate it beyond compare to anything else.

Me and Tommy were each other's support beams, instead of him being mine and his efforts not being returned equally.

I would also like to mention that I am mostly an IRL of Early DSMP era Wilbur to Pre-Utah era Wilbur. I never left Tommy. In fact, we moved in together, somewhere far away from the SMP, with Phil, Techno, Ranboo, Tubbo and Niki as our neighbours who decided to tag along.

Me and Tommy understood that we both had trauma. We were both victims of betrayal and being stabbed in the back.

I'm sorry If I seem angry, or discombobulated, or disorganised, or if my thing falls on deaf ears- I often ramble, my apologies.

But, I'm not genuinely pissed off. Maybe frustrated? Miffed? But that's about it.

hi hello, I am handing you a c!wilbur character study following him from the founding of l’manberg to the end of the manberg war + the letters he sends to phil along the way:

"The other members of the nation are doing pretty well for themselves. Tommy and Tubbo are always off getting into mischief, and half the time Jack gets dragged into it too. And I swear Fundy gets taller every time I look at him. He's made it his goal to be taller than me one day. It's sweet, but between me and you, I'd be stunned if he ever makes it past my shoulder. Maybe he inherited your height, the poor fucker. 

They took one of the scraps from the ruined van一a piece of the door frame that had been blown loose but wasn't too splintery, and measured themselves against it, drawing little lines to mark it. Then Tommy made Wilbur redo them all, because people didn't take their shoes off first and he was threatening bloody murder if Wilbur didn't fix it, so he could prove to everyone he was the tallest and biggest L'manbergian. 

Wilbur's still taller, and Tommy's still pissed, but at least his misery has a bit of company in Fundy. He's been growing like a weed, but he also was so tiny to start with that he's barely clearing Niki's shoulders. He says he'll be taller than Tubbo by winter, but Wilbur thinks even that is a little too optimistic. 

He'd rolled his eyes when they first marked their heights down. Wilbur had figured it was just a silly little indulgence to pass a lazy hour. But the little scrap of wood is resting in a proud place in the middle of the nation, all the little lines of ink slowly rising higher and higher. 

All of them are going to take on the world someday, I just know it."
