at the risk of stirring up controversy… some of you are getting a little too comfortable saying “all sexuality is fluid” :/ like yeah sexuality in general is fluid, sure, of course, but some of you are really out here preaching that no one is fully gay. which is. homophobic. like you guys get that right. if what you’re saying can be boiled down to “maybe you just haven’t met the right man yet” but dressed up in woke language, that’s just straight up classic homophobia. some people are 100% gay (or straight). and if that’s incompatible with your worldview… maybe you should re-examine some things.

If some other magicless person got stuck in Twisted Wonderland and tried to take my place, I'd simply let them. Yeah, bitch, now you take care of these motherfuckers and deal with Crowley's bullshit, see if I fuckin care. Have fun babysitting a bunch of sunovabitches who barely even remember you exist half the time.
I love the angst of "they pushed the Prefect away and replaced them only to miss them when they finally leave", but, also, if I were Yuu, I'd absolutely just let it happen. Call me a pushover, but I ain't shedding a tear for friends who left for the newest shiny thing. And it would relieve me from all the trouble. Guess who's not fighting Overblots anymore? This bastard, that's who.

WIBTA for heavily researching trans topics for my girlfriend?
I (cis guy) am dating a trans girl. I fully love and support her and do not see her as anything but a girl, but there's some aspects I'm just genuinely not informed enough on to give support on occasion, which makes me feel like I'm not doing enough. I want to be able to help her better, so I had the idea of researching elements of being MtF so that I could better understand some of her struggles and be there for her in even more ways. Is this a weird thing to do, though? I'm a cis man, as stated, I don't know if it's really my place to act as if I can ever 100% understand and don't want to come off as obsessive. WIBTA?
What are these acronyms?

This means reposting without permission. Feeding into ai. Taking as your own. Not giving credit to the artist. Posting things that aren't yours in the first place. Etc.
This goes for fanart, original pieces from the artist, writing, gifsets - anything someone took the time to make.

From the 2020 Ted Lasso Emmy FYC campaign, or, the only thing that can make season 1 Roy stop insulting Trent:
"'It's because of pricks like you,' he explained to me after Richmond's last-gasp win against Watford on Saturday, reprising his prior description of yours truly -- to my face -- as a colossal prick."
"When I asked him hypothetically, what he would think of not featuring in the first team, Kent replied, 'Hypothetically, if I punched both of your eyes out and stuffed them up your arse, and then told you to walk on your hands, hypothetically, what would you think of that?'"
and actually answer a question is the chance to talk shit about Jamie:
”He doesn’t understand the word ’team’,” said Kent after the match. “For him it’s a dirty word. Whearas dirty words for me are ‘Jamie Tartt’.”
"[...] star striker Jamie Tartt -- who Kent also characterized as 'a f*&$ing prick, even worse than you'."
"[...] if you want to work your way into my 'eart you take, you take Jamie Tartt off the pitch before 'alf time."
"People say fans are there for Tartt, which I find a very depressing thing to hear."

AITA for peeing on my dad’s hand?
this happened just today and i’m not sure how i feel about it.
i was just smelling and tasting and exploring my carrier because it seemed a little different than i last remember. i couldn’t really tell what was up with that, so i crawled inside to better investigate.
before i could even get a good sniff in, the door zipped up behind me, the ground fell out from under me, and i was moving through the air! obviously, this was very distressing, as i was not previously aware that my carrier had flight capabilities.
luckily, the trip was short. when i was finally able to scramble out of there, i smelled my blanket and my dad, but nothing else seemed familiar. once again, my investigation attempts were thwarted. dad scooped me up and tucked my face into the crook of his elbow, so i couldn’t even smell all the new stuff. i was ready to be scared and pissed off, but he was giving me pats on my head and ears just how i like, so it was actually pretty okay.
… until i saw some gleaming metal torture device from the corner of my eye swooping in towards me and heard the most horrible sound, probably some monster about to snatch me up. there was just no way my dad would be able to save us both from that.
you can probably imagine how terrifying this situation was. so, yeah. okay. i peed a little. right on my dad’s hand. i couldn’t even help it! i thought we were going to die :(
right as it was happening, my dad yelled “oh!” and let go of me! just like that!
luckily, between my peeing and his yelling, the monster seemed to have been scared off. i was so shaken by the whole experience that i didn’t even mind going for a short flight back home.
since being home, things have been pretty normal, except my dad didn’t even give me an extra apple stick for being so brave…? and he keeps trying to shove a giant sack of warm beans at me but won’t even let me chew it… :/ i think i made him upset and i’m not even sure what to do. he was the one who let me go right as the monster was closing in!
(btw here’s me. m, 11 weeks old, mini rex if it matters)

hey, a genuine plea from someone who used to love this space: please learn to treat artists & writers as human beings and not factories.
part of what drove me away was the absolutely constant push to be making new things. i’d post a piece of art or a comic or a fic and get tons of people asking for what was going to happen next, just more more more nonstop, and it was overwhelming and so discouraging. it didn’t matter how long the thing i’d just posted was, people just wanted more. when i went on my hiatus because i felt totally tapped out, i got asks & requests STILL asking me to make more things, telling what of my stuff they missed, keeping that pressure on, and it SUCKED. i couldn’t even rest on my break because of that and along with other huge problems in the community, it made me quit this place for good.
just, please learn some etiquette about how to engage with art and writing, please stop asking for more all the time. if you want something you need to either learn to make it yourself or put your money where your mouth is and pay for it. if artists or writers ask for requests then it’s okay to ask for things for free, but don’t assume that’s the case for every single creator out there. for the love of god don’t read someone’s fic and then say ‘what if you wrote this again, but with this different thing that i like more’, because you sound like an entitled child.
PLEASE remember we’re human beings with lives and other circumstances, we need to make money to live or we need to go to school or take care of ourselves and our families. we are more than the drawings or stories we create and if you treat us like factories, you’re just going to burn us out. we are not ‘content creators’. we are PEOPLE.
and hey! for any other creatives out there who feel this way, feel like your audience is draining you dry or a community isn’t treating you with the respect you deserve? there is nothing wrong with dropping that space and moving on to something else, something better. sometimes things can’t be fixed or reformed or shaped up. sometimes the rot is so deep that it’s not worth breaking your back trying to pull it out. If a space isn’t good for you, save your mental and physical health and leave. i’ve been in a much better place in almost every aspect of my life after getting out of this community. you don’t have to stick around if you don’t feel valued. anyone telling you otherwise is thinking more about themself than about you, so fuck ‘em.
