the older i get when i rewatch FRIENDS, the more i realise that joey and rachel were way healthier and worked way better than ross and rachel ever did. joey is so supportive and lovely and they communicate so well and are best friends that happened to like each other like that and ross is just so so.... toxic

Not that anyone cares to know but here is a list of my favorite ships from the shows I watch
Chuck: Chuck and Sarah. My absolute favorite ship ever!! The most pure and genuine couple ever. I love them with my whole heart
Pretty Little Liars: Spencer and Toby. Love them to death. The first ship I ever cared about and they’ll always hold a special place in my heart
Friends: Ross and Rachel. Obviously there could be some better writing between the two but I’m a sucker for this will they won’t they
Gilmore Girls: Rory and Dean... I know I know but hear me out I like Rory and Dean before he got married. I wish that he would have never got married and that they found each other again later down the line and ended up together. I realize they don’t work with the actual storyline they went with
How I Met Your Mother: Ted and Robin...I know but hear me out again I also wish the storyline would have been different. I thought Robin and Barney made no sense and were absolutely toxic. I wish Barney and Robin never got married and Ted and Robin both grew and found their way back together. But I do think it was terrible for him to have a wife and then kill her off basically just to put him and Robin together but that’s just bad writing.
One Tree Hill: Lucas and Peyton. I love them a lot and did in fact stop watching the show once they left because it wasn’t the same without them.
Revenge: Daniel and Emily!!! I don’t even care if you don’t agree cause they were absolutely adorable. I think she genuinely fell in love with Daniel and should have just been friends with Jack.
The Vampire Diaries: Stefan and Elena. Again Damon and Elena were toxic. Stefan ALWAYS put Elena first and they deserved so much better.
Prison Break: Sara and Michael. I don’t even remember any other significant ships from that show but they were adorable.
Hart of Dixie: Zoe and Wade. I really love them together and loveee to see both of their character development.
White Collar: Sara and Neal. I thought they were so cute together.
Baby Daddy: Ben and Riley. Don’t get me wrong I love Danny but I think Riley goes better with Ben. I loved Ben’s character development and seeing how much he changed for the better after Riley. I really did love them and am still upset they didn’t end up together.
Parks and Recreation: Leslie and Ben. Honestly this was hard cause I like several of the ships on that show but the absolute sweetness of Leslie and Ben makes them take the cake.
Dawson’s Creek: Joey and Dawson. I know that this is probably my most unpopular opinion but oh well. I do think there should have been some better writing leading up to it and things made better with that better writing though. Honestly I was absolutely so confused and shocked when she ended up with Pacey. Might have been the most upset I’ve been about people ending up together. I mean even if she would have ended up with no one or even Eddie but I was just really upset she ended up with Pacey. Sorry not sorry.
Once Upon A Time: Hook and Emma. Absolutely adore them. They are so pure and adorable and have character development and ugh I love them so much.
The Night Shift: TC and Jordan. I really liked them so much and am upset the show was cancelled before we got to see them get back together.
New Girl: Schmidt and Cece. Also hard because I also love Nick and Jess but if I have to choose it’s Schmidt and CeCe.
Bones: Booth and Brennan. Absolutely LOVE them.
Blacklist: Ressler and Liz. Honestly conflicted about this rn cause I don’t know if she deserves him but I have always liked them together.
Stranger Things: Steve and Nancy. I loveeee Steve and could not believe she got together with Jonathan. Like did everyone forget about him taking photos of her????
The Good Place: Eleanor and Chidi. Literally so adorable love them both sooo much. They deserve the world.
Psych: Shawn and Juliet. Seriously how cute are they?? I’ll go ahead and tell you... the CUTEST.
Grey’s Anatomy: Derek and Meredith. You already know I’m team MerDer because honestly who isn’t?
Arrow: Oliver and Felicity. So prefect together love them
The Flash: Barry and Caitlin. I saw Barry and Iris as siblings especially since Barry called him dad which is why I don’t ship that also I feel like she didn’t actually start to really like him until she figured out he was the flash. And I think Barry and Caitlin are super cute and honestly thought they were gonna date way back in season 1. But I’m content with them just being friends I just wish we could see some more of that friendship because they’re adorable.
The Walking Dead: Glenn and Maggie!!!!!! Love love love love them! What’s better than falling in love during a zombie apocalypse? One of the bests ugh my heart. That ending was too sad and definitely made me quit watching the show.
A Million Little Things: Honestly I don’t know rn. I still like Katherine and Eddie but that might just be because Katherine is my fav. I just wish he would have told her about the pills right away and how he was struggling or something. I just have a hard time rooting for him because he’s put Katherine through so much. And then Rome and Regina are so adorable. And I adore Gary and like him with Maggie and Darcy and like Maggie with Gary and Jamie. So yeah I’m all over the place with this one. Honestly can’t pick a fav but felt like sharing those thoughts.
Well this has been fun and there’s more shows and couples but that’s all for now

ೃ Shoto spends his only day of rest and relaxation by watching iconic tv shows with you
Tumblr media
Being one of the top pro-heroes of Japan, Shoto Todoroki always had a tight schedule. May it be fighting off villains, attending interviews from local and international news, managing his father's hero agency, or seeing through the internship of some aspiring heroes, he barely has enough time to be with his family and loved ones. Today, Shoto has one and a half days off before he has to go off to this big mission in the South of Japan.... and what better way would the Top No. 3 Hero do than spend it than with you? "Hey (Y/N)." Shoto calls out to you, in his usual monotonous voice that you know and love, holding a bag of popcorn. "What's up?" You look up to him, whilst propping the pillows on the couch and the table for your TV show marathon. "I got a joke.." He says monotonously, to the point you couldn't even tell if he was even about to say a joke or not. "Is your name Ariel?" "Why?" You ask, playing along with his joke. "Because I think we mermaid for each other." He stifles a laugh, trying his best not to laugh out loud (at a joke he apparently made on his own) as he jumps onto the couch. "Oh my goddd Shoto-kun." You groan loudly, shaking your head. "Since when were you one to make dad jokes? This is slightly out of character for you in all honesty." You cross your arms, still trying to process the fact that your boyfriend. The ever so proud and handsome, Todoroki Shoto, literally just said a dad joke right in front of your face. As in directly to you. Who knew this day would come? "Kaminari said that you'd fall even more head over heels in love with me if I told you a dad joke" He deadpans, cuddling up next to you. "I missed you too much." He pecks your cheek and you couldn't help but giggle. It was a pleasant surprise when your Half Cold-Half Hot boyfriend was in your doorstep this morning. You initially thought that he would be spending his whole day resting, but he did promise that he would at least have a movie or TV marathon with you before he had to go off in a important mission. You just felt guilty that he had to spend it on his only day of rest and relaxation for the month, and then he's back to work. "These are the shows that Izuku recommended." You show him DVDs of Friends, The Office and How I met your Mother. "After all, you do want to watch some old popular sit-coms right?" "Aside from that, Izuku might have slipped and confessed to me that you said that you've been dying to watch some of these." He looks at you and tilts his head, grabbing one of the DVDS. "Well then, let's get to it." "I have a list of some of the most recommended episodes of each show right here." You bring out a piece of paper, hundreds of words scribbled onto it. The love of your life couldn't help but laugh at your eagerness and your interest at the shows that you two were going to be watching. "I'll go cook up some Cold Soba for the two of us. Are you sure you're fine with setting up the TV?" "Yes... I mean Of course!" You nod profusely. "It'd be a huge mess if I was the one who cooked our food instead." Shoto smiles at you and ruffles your hair as he stands up from the couch and heads to the kitchen. After fixing everything up, You put in the 5th Season DVD of The Office (as Izuku had recommended it had one of the best episodes in the series) and you press on the remote control for it to skip to the 13th episode titled Stress Relief. Shoto comes back earlier than expected with two bowls of Cold Soba on both of his hands. "So...what did I miss?" "Gee. That was fast." You get one of the bowls and chopsticks from him and start munching on the noodles. "Not that I'm complaining though. Amazing as always Pee Pee guy." You giggle. "You're really bringing that back huh?" He smirks at you and puts down his bowl of soba. You wonder why until he scoots over to you and slides his hands on your waist. Now, you knew exactly why. "Hey! Stop it! You might think I'm All Might's love child!" You laugh, teasing him again, even though you were already being tickled mercilessly. Shoto stops for a second to give you an enticing glare and then tickles you again, only harder this time. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) The episode had started playing as the intro of the Office appeared in the screen. Shoto stops tickling you as he didn't want to waste more time than he already has, and the two of you start watching You take a deep breath, trying to recover from your endorphin rush. "You have to watch the intro to this episode! It's hilarious!" You nudge Shoto, wanting him to pay more attention. The two of you start snickering when one of the main characters, Dwight, as a way to teach fire safety, sets a fire in an office trash can with a cigarette, saying "Today smoking will save lives." with a straight face. Chaos then ensues in the episode. During the subsequent panic, the office's only copy machine was destroyed, one of them smashes a window to call for help, and an improv of one of the characters, taking advantage of the havoc by raiding the snack machine. One of the female worker characters even had a cat hidden in her file cabinet, and she had tossed it into the air vent so that it could escape. You were already laughing your heart out, looking at Shoto to see if he was laughing the same way as you were too, only for your glance at him to time perfectly, as he lets out a burst of laughter; one that you rarely see from him. Your eyes lit up and you feel your heart burst from seeing your usually so stoic and stern boyfriend, show such an array of positive emotions. "Why is this funnier than it should be?" His cute laugh echoes throughout your apartment. "I have to go do this with Izuku and the others some time." You laugh along with him, "Make sure to call me up if ever you guys ever end up making one!" You watch a few more episodes until you hear rain pouring outside. You pause the episode that the two of you were watching for a minute, and then stood up to look outside the window. "This is so cool! It really sets the mood!" You jump up and down as you couldn't contain your excitement and rush to your room. Your boyfriend looks at you puzzled, as he didn't know what you were being so happy about, until you came back from your room with a long and big fuzzy blanket. "It's cuddle weather!" You sit back on the couch and nuzzle next to Shoto, putting the blanket on top of the two of you. You rest your head on his shoulder and continue watching. You ended up watching all the episodes of season five of The Office for the whole morning. You took a look at the time. It was already the afternoon and you had several more hours to spare, so you then pop in a DVD of the 3rd season of Friends. "Rachel and Ross' relationship is really getting on my nerves." Shoto pouts in disappointment. You chuckle lightly because of how cute he looked and because of how interested he was. "There's so much drama in this series. How come Izuku considers this as one of his favorite shows?" He shakes his head yet continues watching. "They were on a break." You nudge his arm, referencing one of Ross' most iconic lines. "You know what? Speaking of breaks, I'm going on a bathroom break." He stands up from the couch and goes straight to the bathroom. You giggle at his sudden interest in the show, since he is now able to have his own criticisms and opinions on it. He comes back with a huge grin on his face. You look up at him. "Hm? Anything wrong?" "Hey, how you doin? "He says in a thick Japanese accent as he winks at you, trying to copy Joey's iconic pick-up line from the show. "Oh my goddddd Sho-kun." You groan at his antics again. "I can't even give you a pass for that. That was a really bad joke." On the inside however, you wanted to die of embarrassment and of giddiness. His sudden spike of confidence and how hot he looked whilst reciting one of the most iconic tv show lines of all time. You just wanted to tackle him down and cuddle all night, just from him saying that line alone. You were that aroused. "If Joey can get a girl to fall for him through that line, then why can't I do it on you?" "Because- I'm not like one of those girls... I'm one of a kind." You wink back at him. "Okay now that was a bad joke." "Yea yea I know... Let's just get back to watching Friends." The last episode of the season ended with the beach house, and you turned to look at Shoto for his comments. "Chandler really was the star of the show in this season. So was Phoebe. You know, I'll bet you 500 Million Yen that Chandler and Monica will end up together after that last episode." You were surprised at Shoto's attention to detail on the body languages of the characters. How'd he predict that the two would end up in one of the later seasons of the show "Wait til' Season Four." You boop his nose, keeping the spoilers for another future Friends marathon. The next show on your list was How I met Your Mother, though the show was quite similar to Friends, it did have a lot of good elements that the latter didn't have. Although the two of you just ended up watching the last few episodes of How I Met Your Mother since both of you were able to watch the previous seasons prior to your marathon. In the middle of one of the last episodes, Shoto gets comfortable and lays down on the sofa. He leaves a little space for you to sit on, though you didn't complain since you were too invested in the show. The last episode ends, and the credits start to roll. It was already the middle of the night and you were quite sleepy. You stretch your arms and lay down on his chest, Shoto brings you closer for warmth and whispers, "You know, I can't wait to tell our future kids our love story and tell them, "'And that kids is how I met your mother." You giggle and smile at his comment and slowly close your eyes, you hear the faint sound of the TV turning off and the rain still pouring outside, as you drift off to dreamland. "Midoriya. I'll probably be a bit late for our call time tomorrow." Shoto speaks in a soft voice on his phone, as a way to try and not to wake you up. "I just got into a little situation. Nothing big." Your boyfriend smiles, playing with your hair and looking at you with all the love he has to offer in this world. "Thanks. I'll see you tomorrow." Shoto whispers loudly and then ends the call. He turns off his phone and plants a kiss on your forehead. He closes his eyes, a contented smile on his face, as he also drifts off to sleep whilst you sleeping soundly on his chest. That night, both of you could not imagine spending an even better day with each other, but being in each other's arms. ♡ The End.

The One With The Dozen Lasagnas Part Four (Buh-Bye)
Here we go! Another episode done, I can’t even believe it!
Last Part (Part Three), Series Masterlist
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You had been playing foosball for quite a while with Monica and the both of you were kicking Chandler and Joey’s asses. Unfortunately, at one point both of the men were becoming such sore losers that they traded you for Ross, but even with the new addition; Monica now doing literally all of the work and sometimes even switched places with Ross. So now you stood at the end of the table next to Phoebe after she had come over to explain that she told Rachel what had happened with Paolo, also Paolo had arrived so Phoebe decided to give the both of them some time. “I think she took it pretty well.” Phoebe told all of you, while you nodded your head in understanding. “You know, Paolo’s over there right now, so.” Phoebe said to you and Monica, meaning that Rachel probably needed her girlfriends to be with her at a time like this.
“We should get over there and see if she’s okay.” You added, hinting at Monica to finish the game.
“Yeah, you’re right.” Monica agreed with you as she yet again switched places with Ross. “Just one...second. Woo, score!” Monica cheered as the ball went down the guys side again and she turned to celebrate with her brother. “Come on.” Monica said to you and Phoebe as she opened up the door, before you could follow Phoebe and Monica across the hall you turned quickly and you and Joey made eye contact so you smiled and winked him a goodbye.
Yourself, Monica, and Phoebe all sat on the couch. You all decided to pretend to be watching tv so Monica held the remote in her hand, but the tv wasn’t even on. All of you had the plan to not seem like you were spying, but you had to admit that you were doing a terrible job. As soon as you saw Rachel dump Paolo’s clothes in his suitcase down from the balcony you just couldn’t look away. “How’s it going?” You heard Ross ask as he closed the door and came to watch out the window as he leaned on the couch.
“Don’t stare.” Monica warned him. “Okay, she just finished throwing his clothes off the balcony. Now there’s just a lot of gesturing and arm waving.” Monica filled in the blanks, and she also tried to keep filling them in but went a step too far, even though it was funny to you. “Okay, that is either, “How could you?” or “Enormous breasts.””
“Here he comes.” You announced to get everybody’s attention, which was good because just as he was climbing over the window the four of you shot up and ran in different directions just to make it look like you weren’t just watching Rachel’s entire conversation. But of course all four of you chose to stand in the kitchen just so you could watch Paolo’s walk of shame. Phoebe took a drink from the refrigerator, Monica polished a glass, Ross flipped through mail, and you ate some chips that were left on the counter.
“Uh, I am, uh, to say goodbye.” Paolo announced to all of you slowly so he got it right. But he didn’t seem all that upset at what was happening which made you just want to punch him in the face and kick him in a place that would not be very friendly.
“Oh, okay, bye-bye.” Phoebe waved to him with a smile on her face.
“Paolo, I really hate what you did to Rachel, but I still have five of these so heat it at 375 until the cheese bubble.” Monica told the man with a pissed off look on her face as she reluctantly gave him one of her lasagnas. The Paolo stopped in front of you as if you were going to say anything.
“I don’t know why you think I’m going to say something, I didn’t really like you to begin with. You were always kind of odd. So, all I want to say is good riddance.” You told him before you turned back to the thing you were snacking on.
“Paolo,” Ross started as he held the door open for the man. “I just want to tell you and I think I speak for everyone when I say…”Ross ended it with just slamming the door in Paolo’s face, which in your opinion was the perfect way to end this.
“Oh, just look at her.” Phoebe sighed sadly as all of you looked at Rachel all alone on the terrace. All of you were about to go out there to make sure that she was okay, but it seemed that someone had a different idea.
“I really think only one of us should go out there so she’s not overwhelmed.” Ross told the three of you, which made sense.
“Oh, you’re right.” Monica agreed as she took a step to go, but Ross grabbed a hold of her arm and pulled her back before she could get too far. “And I really think it should be me.” Phoebe and Monica looked at each other confused, but you couldn’t help but shake your head and smirk as you watched him head out to Rachel. But it was about time he did something and took a step in the direction of the possibility of being with her.
Monica, Phoebe, and you sat at the kitchen table eating one of the lasagnas when you noticed that Ross and Rachel had made their way back inside. “Hey, honey, are you alright?” Monica asked, running to give Rachel a hug to which you and Phoebe followed. Monica and Phoebe hugging her sides as you hugged her facing her.
“Medium.” Rachel answered as you all hugged. “Any cookies left?”
“Yeah.” Phoebe said as Monica and you followed the two over to the chair to indulge on cookies and eat your feelings with Rachel.
“See, Rach,  I don’t think swearing off guys altogether is the answer. I really don’t. I think what you need is to develop a more sophisticated screening process.” Ross rambled to her to try and change her mind so she would consider dating him.
“No, I just need to be by myself for a while, you know?” Rachel spoke and you ladies nodded with her, all of you sitting on different parts of the armchair. “I just got to figure out what I want.”
“Uh, no,no.” Ross disagreed as he made his way to the fridge. “See, because not all guys out there are gonna be a Paolo.”
“No, I know.” Rachel agreed with him on some extent, but then she started to talk without thinking. “And I’m sure your little boy is not going to grow up to be one.” She managed to realize what she had just done when her eyes opened wide and she stared at Phoebe in shock and you and Monica looked at each other in surprise before looking at the others.
“What?” Ross asked her to make sure he had heard what Rachel just said.
“What?” Rachel asked quickly, hoping that Ross had just misheard that entire thing.
“I-I’m having a boy?” Ross asked as he felt the excitement growing in him, but he just needed confirmation first.
“Uh, no.” Rachel just didn’t know how to fix this after her big mouth opened. “No, no, in fact, you’re not having a boy.” She scratched awkwardly behind her ear.
“I’m having, I’m having a boy.” Ross started repeating as the news got more and more real to him. “Huh? Am I having a boy?” He couldn’t take it anymore.
“YOU”RE HAVING A BOY!” All of you cheered as you jumped up from your seats and you all ran over to give Ross a hug.
“I’m having a boy!” Ross exclaimed as he picked Monica up and spun her.
“What is it!?” Chandler and Joey burst in with worried looks. They came over when they heard shouting, but when they saw all of the smiles they calmed down.
“I’m having a boy. I’m having a boy.” Ross repeated to them.
“Hey!” They both cheered for him, but then they realized something. “We already knew that!” They both cheered as Joey and Chandler hugged each other. After a couple of seconds when you looked back at Ross it looked like all of the color had drained from his face.
“I’m having a son, umm.” Ross mumbled as if he just couldn’t believe it.
*******
Monica was over again and she was playing game after game after game of foosball. But it was so late that you couldn’t keep your eyes open as you sat at the counter peninsula in your pajamas, your hand resting on your chin as you felt your eyelids getting heavier. “Yes! And that would be a shut-down!” Monica cheered as she scored another point.
“SHUT-OUT!” Both of the boys yelled at her in anger of losing again, but it made you groan loudly when it woke you up a little. Chandler and Joey shook their heads as Chandler started to make his way to his way to his room and Joey walked over to you and out his hand on your lower back as he helped you up and let you lean your sleepy body on his and he started to help you to his room.
“Where are you guys going?” Monica asked in surprise. “Come on! One more game!” Monica whined like a child.
“It’s 2:30 in the morning.” Joey told her in exhaustion and impatient as he kept rubbing your back.
“Yeah, get out.” Chandler told her, but still playing off of the shut-out thing earlier.
“You guys are always hanging out in my apartment. Come on, I’ll only use my left hand, huh? Come on, wussies.” Monica wiggled her left fingers as she tried to taunt the guys. Joey made sure that you were up and standing on your own before he and Chandler walked over to Monica and each grabbed one of her arms and lifted her off the floor.
“Alright, okay, I got to go.” Monica said as you waved at her, thinking they’d put her down.  “I’m going, and I’m gone.” Monica announced as her feet hit the floor in the hallway and ran her way across back to her own apartment. Once the door was closed you thought that you could finally crawl into bed with your boyfriend but it seemed he and your brother had other plans.
“Another game?” Chandler offered his roommate.
“Oh yeah.” Joey immediately agree, causing you to let out a sigh and look up at the ceiling in exhaustion as your hands fell to the side.
“Whatever, I’m going to bed.” You grumbled.
“Goodnight, sis.” Chandler called as he stepped to his side of the table.
“Goodnight, baby.” Joey called to you as he just hit the foosball to start yet another game.

The One With George Stephanopolous: Part Two
parings: joey x reader
authors note: i own nothing from friends, all credit goes to their respective owners. feeback is always appreciated!
Feeback is the glue that holds my writing together!
you were all at monica’s apartment and making tiki death punch, when rachel walked in,
“hey rach! how was it with your friends?” monica asked, and then you her and phoebe screamed, but when rachel gave you a death stare you guys stopped,
“okay! how would you like some tiki death punch?”
“what’s that?” rachel asked,
“well, it’s rum and...” rachel cut monica off,
“okay!” she took the jug and a straw and began drinking it,
“we thought since y/n and pheobe were staying over we’d have kind of a slumber party,”
“we got some trashy magazines, we got cookie dough, we got twister..” you trailed off,
the phone began to ring so monica walked over to it,
“oh, oh, and i brought operation, but i lost the tweezers so we can’t operate. but we can prep the guy!” pheebs said excitedly,
“rach, it’s the visa card people,” monica said, holding the phone out to her,
“oh, god, ask them what they want,” she pushed the phone away,
“could you please tell me what this is in reference to?” monica waited for an answer, “yes, hold on.” she covered the phone speaker, “they say there’s been some unusual activity on your account,”
“but i haven’t used my card in weeks!”
“that is the unusual activity. look, they just want to know if your okay,”
“they want to know if i’m okay. okay, they want to know if i’m okay. okay, let’s see... let’s see, the fica guys took all my money. everyone i know is either getting married or getting pregnant or getting promoted and i’m getting coffee, and it’s not even for me! so if that sounds like i’m okay, okay then you can tell them i’m okay, okay?” rachel frantically said,
“uh, rachel has left the building. can you call back?” you assumed they said yes because monica hung up,
“come on, let’s play twister!” rachel reached down and grabbed the mat, throwing it on the ground, it looked like she was on the verge of tears so you hugged her and sat her down on the couch,
“you should feel great about yourself! i mean look rach you’re doing this amazing independent thing!” you said to her,
“y/n what is so amazing? i gave up like everything. and for what?” she asked you,
“you are just like jack!” pheobe said,
“jack from downstairs?”
“no, jack and the beanstalk,” pheobe answered, expecting us to know what jack she was talking about,
“ah, the other jack,” monica said sarcastically,
“yeah, right. see, he gave up something but then he got those magic beans and then he woke up, and there was this big plant outside of his window full of possibilities and stuff. and he lived in a village, you live in the village,”
“okay, but pheebs, pheebs, jack gave up a cow, i gave up an orthodontist. look, i know i didn’t love him.”
“oh you see, jack did love the cow,”
“but, see it was a plan. you know, it was clear, everything was figured out and now everything’s just like....” rachel struggled to find the right word,
“floopy?” pheobe asked,
“yeah...” rachel sighed,
“well, look, you’re not the only one. half the time we don’t know where we’re going,” you reassured her,
“you just got to figure at some point, it’s all going to come together and it’s just gonna be... un-floopy.” monica agreed with you,
“yeah like that’s a word,” pheobe said, which made you and monica give her a ‘you serious’ look.
“okay, but monica, what if it doesn’t come together?” rachel asked you,
monica thought about it for a second, “y/n?”
“well, you uh- you.. pheebs?” you turned to her,
“well, cause you just like... i don’t like this question,” she shook her head,
“okay, see, see you guys- what if we don’t get magic beans? what if all we get are beans?”
you all looked at eachother,
“oh,” you sighed, lying your head on rachel’s lap,
it was about half an hour later and you guys were bummed out. monica was on the couch eating cookie dough, you were lying on rachel, who was lying on the couch, and pheebs was lying on the ground with her hair over her face.
“oh... i’m so sorry, you guys. i didn’t mean to bring you down,” rachel apologised,
“no, you were right- i don’t have a plan,” monica sighed,
“me neither,” you sighed against rachel who looked at you apologetically.
there was a knock at the door and rachel got up to get it, you followed her, “pizza guy!”
you opened the door, “hi.”
“hi, one mushroom, green pepper and onion?” the boy asked, getting the whole order wrong,
“no,”
“no, no.. no, no that’s not what we ordered, we ordered a fat free crust, with extra cheese!” rachel said,
“wait youre not g. stephanopolous?” he asked and you and rachel shook your heads,
“oh, man! my dads gonna kill me!”
“wait! wait! did you say g. stephanopolous?” monica asked,
“yeah. this one goes across the street. i must’ve given him yours, oh! bonehead! bonehead!” he hit himself in the head twice.
“wait, was this a small mediterranean guy, with curiously intelligent good looks?” monica asked,
“yeah. that sounds about right,” the pizza guy answered,
“was he... was he wearing a stunning blue suit?”
“and a- a power tie?” pheobe asked,
“no. pretty much just a towel,”
“oh my god,” you sighed leaning on to monica who groaned,
“so you guys want me to take this back?” he asked, and monica pushed past you and rachel,
“what? are you nuts? we’ve got george stephanopolous’ pizza!” monica took it off him before handing it to pheobe and running to the window, you ran after her.
she grabbed binoculars and looked out her window,
“you see him?” you asked her,
she shook her head, “no, but i see pizza!” she yelled making the other two join you,
“oh i want to see, let me see! let me see!” pheobe rushed,
“hello? who are we spying on?” rachel asked while you and pheobe looked through the binoculars, monica answered,
“you know the white house advisor? clinton’s campaign guy with the great hair, sexy smile... really cute butt?”
“oh, him! the little guy? oh i love him!” she ran over and joined you three with pizza,
“uh, wait. wait, i see a woman,” pheobe sighed, you took the binoculars off her,
“please, tell me it’s his mother,” monica pleaded,
“oh, wow, yeah definitely not his mother,” you sighed,
“oh... no,”
you handed the binoculars back to pheobe, “wait, she’s walking across the floor. she’s walking... she’s walking... she’s going for the pizza,” pheobe pulled the binoculars down from her face before yelling, “hey that’s not for you, bitch!”
your eyes widened as pheobes hand rushed over her mouth, she was shocked at what she had just yelled, you, monica and rachel giggled,
you guys had ended up spying on him by sitting on the balcony, and monica came out with the punch,
“lights still out?” she asked,
“yeah,”
“well, maybe they’re napping,”
“please, they’re having sex,” rachel told her,
“shut up!” you, pheobe and monica yelled at her,
“so, what do you think george is.. like?”
“i think he’s shy,” monica said,
“yeah?” pheobe asked,
“yeah, i think you have to draw him out, and then... when you do, he’s a preppy animal,” you and the girls cheered at that,
you were talking about things that you had done to eachother in the past,
“oh okay, i got one,” monica turned to pheobe, “do you remember that vegetarian pate that i made that you loved so much?” pheobe nodded while you and rachel started cracking up, “well if goose is a vegetable,” monica laughed,
“oh! oh! okay, fine, fine, now i don’t feel so bad about sleeping with jason hurley,” pheobe admitted,
“what?! you slept with jason?” monica exclaimed,
“you’d already broken up,” pheobe argued,
“how long?” rachel asked,
“about an hour,”
“oh that’s nice!” monica exclaimed while you and rachel laughed,
“okay i got one,” you said, rachel leaned forward to listen and the pillow she was leaning on fell off the balcony, “the valentine that tommy rollerson left in your locker was really from me!” you admitted,
“excuse me?” she asked you,
“oh, hello? like he was really going to send you one. she was a big girl,” you said to pheobe,
“oh yeah, well at least big girls don’t pee in their pants in seventh grade,” you laughed at the memory of rachel,
“uh! i was laughing! you made me laugh!” rachel argued.
you, monica and rachel bickered for a little bit before pheobe yelled,
“there he is! there he is!”
“where?!” monica yelled,
“right, where we’ve been looking all night,”
“oh, he’s so cute,” rachel sighed,
“oh, i know,” you said,
“oh, george baby, drop the towel!” monica exclaimed,
“drop the towel, drop the towel,” all you girls started saying, then the towel dropped,
“wow,” you all said,
it was way later and the guys had come home a bit later than you all expected, and you guys had started playing twister, you were stood in front of joey with your feet on yellow and green,
“okay, monica,” ross spun the wheel, “right foot red,”
“we could’ve played monopoly, but no...” she moved her foot to red,
there was a knock at the door and chandler answered it, the man handed him the pillow from earlier and he walked back with it,
“y/n...” ross spun the wheel, “right hand blue,”
you bent down which meant your butt was right next to joey and you knew he was having a good time,
the phone rang and chandler answered it, “hello?.. oh, uh, rachel it’s the visa card people,” he said to her,
“oh okay, will you take my place?” she asked getting up,
“yeah, hello this is rachel,” he said into the phone before she took it off him and chandler joined them over at the game,
“joey, right hand yellow,” joey leant down past you and put his hand on the yellow,
“and chandler, right hand green.” chandler bent across as ross guided him, “to the green, to the green,”
chandler had slipped a little making you all yell and fall over, joey fell right into you,
“god, joey! get off!” you laughed pushing him off,
“woah!” he exclaimed as you pushed him,
“oh god my head, good going chandler,” monica said,
“yeah!” everybody agreed.
let me know if you want to be included in future tag lists!

just a fanfic cause why not.
\\The One Where He Gets on the Plane//
Alternative Ending to FRIENDS
Just fanfiction.
Monica and Chandler were to move out of the apartment and into their new home with their twin babies. Joey was completely devastated that not only were they moving out but Rachel was moving to Paris, France for a job. Phoebe and Mike were living together and were happy with each other. Ross wants full custody of Emma and that would force Rachel to come out to see her. His son was here and he deeply believed that Rachel was out of her mind. Couldn’t she get a job here in America? Or rather just stayed in NYC? He should have listened to Emily. He deeply regretted divorcing her over Rachel. Even though Monica said to go to the airport with Rachel to see her off, he couldn’t. He wanted to confess his feelings to the woman he deeply loved not so long ago.
Baby Emma was in his arms and he decided to go put her down for a nap. He came back out into the now half empty living room that was previously occupied by Rachel. Everyone thought that they were getting back together but deep down he lost all his feelings for Rachel. Despite the fact she was the mother of his child. Despite all the history of feelings and emotions that they had for each other. He still remembered Emily’s number. He dialed out and waited for the rings.
“Hello?” He heard the familiar voice on the other end.
“Hi Emily. It’s me Ross” Ross said.
“Oh.. Hi Ross. How are you doing?” Emily replied.
“I am doing okayish. Just have been thinking of you more often. Not in a creepy but rather a reminiscent way.” He said.
“Aw. I do sometimes miss you. Are you okay Ross? You sound a bit downer than when we last talked.” She inquired.
“My life is splitting into different continents. I am sure you know Rachel and I had a child but she is moving to France. She wanted to take Emma with her. But my life is here.” He explained to Emily.
“Oh so the mad woman is leaving? I just have to tell you something Ross but please listen.” She said to him.
“Yeah. I’m all ears.” He replied.
“She wasn’t the one for you. As an outsider looking in, she was rather troublesome for you. She kept ruining your life and all the things you wanted to do. She ruined our relationship and was the cause of our divorce.” Emily stated.
“I now know. I still feel bad about it.” Ross confessed.
“Me too. I remarried but divorced recently. I thought I was happy but in reality I wasn’t.” She confessed.
“I have feelings for you, Emily. I just regret sleeping with Rachel and knowing that she would be selfish and just fly off to another country just really helped me understand that I wasn’t important. Not as important to her as her job.” He said. He was hurt all over again.
“You see? She always hurts you and you deserve someone who will care and love you, to always put you first.” She said.
“Thank you, Emily. I needed to hear that.” Ross admitted. Emily was always right and insightful.
“Your welcome, Ross. I missed you. Hope we can talk more often. I’d really like that.” Emily said. Only if Ross could see her smiling on the other end.
“I missed you too Emily. I will talk to you soon.” He said. They hung up simultaneously.
Ross thought about what Emily had said and what his heart wanted. After all this time, he wanted Emily. He was always happier with Emily. She respected his decisions and always had wanted better for him. He got enough clothes for a few nights and essentials. He picked up Emma and decided to go over to Joey’s place. He knocked on the door and Joey opened the door.
“Hey, can I ask a favor?” Ross said.
“Sure Ross.” Joey said.
“I need you to clear out my fridge at my place.” Ross said, handing him a spare key. He left in a rush without hearing Joey’s comments.
Ross went over to his parents place and asked them to babysit. Then he called Phoebe to ask her a favor. He needed a ride to the airport. She didn’t ask questions and he got onto the plane to England. Once the airplane landed he called for taxis to take him to Emily’s place. He hoped that she still lived there. He got out and it began to rain. He looked up and saw her through the window.
“EMILY!” Ross yelled. She looked out the window and her face was in shock. She left the window and he got sad. He saw the front door open.
“Ross!” She said as she walked out to him. He hugged her and she hugged him back.
“Emily… I love you. I had always loved you and regretted the divorce.” He confessed.
“Ross… I love you and I feel exactly the same way.” She also confessed.
“Take me back.” He asked with tears in his eyes.
“Yes Ross.” Emily said as she wiped her eyes.
They both were in tears as the rain fell a bit harder. He grabbed her by the waist and brought her closer. He wiped away her tears, Both gazed into each other’s eyes. Both feeling the raw emotion of longing for each other they kissed out in the rain.

I’m going to be a father
Words: 1013 Pairing: Chandler Bing x Reader
Prompt #5: "I'm pregnant"
Masterlist (mobile version)
Tumblr media
requested by @coalsmind
You’re sitting on the edge of the bathtub in your apartment, one hand in your hair and the other holding a positive pregnancy test. You don’t know what to do, or how to feel for the matter. You are happy because having a baby has always been one of your dreams, but you haven’t been planning for that to happen anytime soon.
You have been in a relationship for nearly six months and everything was going fine, until now. Your main concern is your boyfriend’s reaction because, let’s face it, Chandler is nowhere near being ready to commit, let alone become a father. He will most likely freak out, but he’s a good guy and he’ll be by your side no matter what. At least you hope he will...
Doubts start clouding your mind. You really need to talk to someone who knows Chandler well, just to try to prepare yourself for what could happen. Monica. She’s probably Chandler’s closest friend and she will know how to help you because she’s always the one solving problems in the group.
After having washed your face, you leave the bathroom and look at the clock. You still have three hours before Chandler comes back from work, it should be enough time to figure things out and tell him. You grab the phone and dial Monica’s number.
“Hey Mon! It’s me, Y/N... Yes, no everything’s fine. More or less... I desperately need your help with something, can you come over as soon as possible?... Ok, perfect. I’ll see you in ten!”
Those ten minutes felt like eternity, and you couldn’t help but pace the room. The moment you hear a knock on the door you open it and let Monica in.
“So, what’s it all about? Is it for Chandler’s birthday? What are you giving him?” Monica asks as soon as she’s inside. Right, tonight you have Chandler’s birthday party at Monica and Rachel’s. You had nearly forgotten...
“Probably a heart attack” is your answer and Monica looks at you confused. “I’m pregnant, Mon.”
“Oh my God!” is all she can say. “Where you guys planning it?”
“Of course we weren’t. We haven’t even talked about moving in together, what makes you think we decided to do this?” you answer harshly and regret it instantly, “Look, I’m sorry. I’m just... I guess I’m scared. Chandler is going to freak out, we know it. I’m just scared it will be too much for him... I know it’s stupid, and we love each other and all that stuff, but I can’t help it. He’s Mr. Commitment-phobic and I can’t lose him right now...”
Monica looks at you with sad eyes and hugs you. “Don’t worry, everything is gonna be fine! He’ll freak out at first, but he’ll come around! I will make him come around if I need to!”
You can’t help but smile. Even though you feel a little bad for telling her before Chandler, you know you needed her. She’s always been good at this and she is the only one who can really help you.
“So, when are you going to tell him?”
“You mean, when am I going to give him a heart attack? After the party I guess... I don’t want to completely ruin his birthday.”
“Oh, you’ll not ruin it, believe me.”
The two of you talk some more before it’s time to get everything ready for the party. You shower and get dressed before heading to Chandler’s apartment.
“Well well well... look at the birthday boy!” You say when you enter Chandler and Joey’s apartment and you spot him exiting his room.
His face lits up when he sees you, and in just a few strides he’s in front of you, cupping you face with his hands.
“Hello, sweetheart!” he tells you before putting his lips on yours. The kiss is tender at first, but starts getting deeper and deeper as you get lost in each other’s embrace. Once the need for air is too big, you end the kiss and he really looks at you.
“Wow, you look stunning in that dress!” he sounds breathless.
“You don’t look too bad yourself, mister.” you joke. “Shall we go join the party?”
“As much as I’d love to stay here with you, I think Monica would kill us if we don’t show up.”
The party runs smoothly, with no major problems other than a couple of drunk friends stumbling around. You feel like time flew by and now the moment has finally come. You find yourself looking at Monica, and she gives you a reassuring smile. You take a deep breath before walking over to Chandler who is talking with Ross.
“Chandler? Can you come with me for a moment?” you ask him.
He looks at you slightly confused, but follows you out anyway. You enter his apartment and tell him to sit down on the BarcaLounger.
“There’s something I need to tell you.” He’s definitely confused now. “I thought all afternoon about how could I possibly tell you this, and I couldn’t find any other way...” you look at him right in the eyes.
“I’m pregnant.”
Silence. That’s what follows your announcement. You can see he’s trying to wrap his head around it. After a few minutes, Chandler manages to stutter “H-h-how? We used protection!”
“I know, honey. It can happen sometimes.”
He’s looking at you, but you can see his mind is far away, and he’s not moving.
You are starting to get worried and are tempted to go get Monica when he finally speaks again. It’s a whisper at first, but then you can hear it clearly.
“I’m going to be a father... I’M GOING TO BE A FATHER!” he jumps up and hugs you before kissing your lips.
You feel your body finally relax in his arms. You  had been so tense and hadn’t ever realised it. Looking at him, you ask “You ready for this?”
He laughs. “I’m so NOT ready for this, but I have you. You and our baby. And that’s all that matters.”

Friends 2x08 The One With The List
Previous Recaps
In a nutshell: Everyone finds out about THE KISS. Chandler buys a laptop. Ross writes a list. Monica works for Mockolate. There’s a lot of staring at the rain out the window while U2 plays in the background.
Chandler: Chandler gets a new laptop and he’s obsessed, and honestly? Same. He then comes up with the idea that Ross should create a PROS/CONS list for both Julie and Rachel so that he can decide who to be with… because that’s exactly how all matters of the heart should be decided, right? To Chandler’s credit, he feels terribly sorry for coming up with the idea of the list and for not thinking on his feet and preventing Rachel from reading it (not that she didn’t deserve to know, but she deserved to have her feelings spared, you know?)
Joey: Joey’s solution for Ross’s conundrum? Threesome. But he’s the biggest fangirl once Ross breaks up with Julie and Rachel shows up at the apartment. I always loved Joey’s softer side.
Monica: Monica gets a job for Mockolate, creating Thanksgiving recipes. It’s a somewhat “comic” – in the “I know this is supposed to make me go haha” sense – relief in the midst of all the Ross-Rachel drama. Mockolate doesn’t get the FDA approval in the end, but Monica earns her pay anyway. And she also probably got some side effects.
Phoebe: Ross asks Phoebe to play a song in order to defuse the awkwardness of the situation - Julie showing up at the coffee shop, oblivious to the fact that her boyfriend had been smooching with Rachel the night before. Phoebe then played the iconic song “Two of Them Kissed Last Night”. HE MUST DECIDE.
Rachel: Rachel shares her excitement with the girls about THE KISS. Her exhilaration quickly dwindles, though, as she sees how A) Ross is still with Julie and hasn’t either told her about them nor has he broken up with her, and B) Ross hasn’t called her. Ross was already making her question her own worth. In the end, Ross kind of made up his mind, and Rachel is so happy that he’s going to get her coat, and then she sees the list on the computer (how contrived was the way she had to parade herself all through the apartment in order for her to face the computer and read what was on the screen? Why didn’t they just leave the computer on the kitchen counter? Did the computer have to be next to the printer, is that why?) And then the printer starts working. The boys try to distract her, but it’s too late, she saw her name there and she needs to know what it was about. Rachel OBVIOUSLY outsmarts them, and ends up reading the list. Kind of ditzy. Too into her looks. Spoiled. Just a waitress. Ouch. She’s disappointed and hurt, and rightfully so. To this day, Rachel words still hit close to home:  “Imagine the worst things you think about yourself. Now, how would you feel if the one person that you trusted the most in the world not only thinks them too, but actually uses them as reasons not to be with you.” There’s no worse feeling in the world than having someone you love spew at you the most awful things you think of yourself but try to convince yourself are not true – when they say those things, it’s confirmation that they’re true, and that you’re not good enough. I applaud Rachel for standing her ground and not letting Ross walk all over her. But it’s painful to watch her be so heartbroken.
Ross: I see how the contrast they showed between the girls and the boys reacting to Ross and Rachel’s kiss is supposed to be funny, but who are we kidding? Ross would actually act like one of the girls. This is the guy who has been holding a torch for the same girl SINCE THE 9TH FUCKING GRADE. Am I really supposed to buy that he would just be: “oh yeah I kissed her, tongue, yeah”? REALLY? He’s been DREAMING about this moment for YEARS, literally. I’d say he would be a tad more excited, right? While he is excited about the prospect of being with Rachel, he is still very much in a committed relationship with Julie. They were about to get a cat, remember? And this is the episode where Ross’s “Nice Guy” schtick starts to show. He says he feels all torn about it, but if he truly were, he would’ve told Julie what happened the previous night. Instead, he continues to pretend everything is okay with Julie while making Rachel feel like the other woman. He was the one who came back to the coffee shop, remember? He was the one in a relationship, who shouldn’t have cheated on their partner, right? Anyway, Ross follows Chandler’s advice to compile a list comparing Julie and Rachel. And while it is sweet how Julie’s biggest con was that she was not Rachel, the whole comparison thing is simply despicable – especially considering how quickly he came up with the list of flaws for Rachel. Eventually, he does the right thing – sort of – and breaks things off with Julie. Goodbye, Julie. You won’t be missed, but you were a nice girl who deserved much better than Ross Geller. Ross thought he could have his cake and eat it too, but Rachel did not want anything to do with him after reading his list. He then climbs into the girls’ balcony, with a list of all the things he loves about Rachel. Which would’ve been an amazing romantic gesture. You know, if he hadn’t written that other list in the first place. There’s no convincing Rachel, though. Ross reasons that if things were the other way around, there was nothing she could’ve said that would make him not want to be with her. Which is 100% unverifiable. There’s no way to know he would’ve been so mighty. Actually, considering how petty he can be, I’d wager he wouldn’t let it go, but whatever. His argument is proven invalid, though, when Rachel argues that she would never write the list in the first place. Ross gives it one last shot – he sends a song request to a radio show, with a message for Rachel.  But not even the radio host is on Ross’s side.
One Iconic Scene:
Tumblr media
Ross and Rachel’s first break-up in front of the whole gang.
Hope you enjoyed my recap, and, as usual, if you’ve got this far, thank you for reading! If you enjoy my recaps and my blog, please consider supporting it on ko-fi. Thanks!

Spinning FRIENDS
Tumblr media
A hobby of mine is coming up with film and TV show ideas. The following are my ideas for “Friends” spin-offs. These are all set in that 90’s early 00’s sitcom style.
Monica and Chandler Geller-Bing- Follows them as they adapt to parenthood and moving from the city to the suburbs and the commute. Monica enjoys the suburban life; Chandler is having trouble. The twins are three and entering preschool where Monica gets into competitions with the other super parents. Chandler is too sensitive for the other dad’s they become best friends with their quirky new neighbors. Monica keeps trying to impress the Homeowners Association but to no avail. Chandler learns more about himself and his childhood and how he wants to be as a parent.
Phoebe Buffay*- The show follows Phoebe as she begins working at a spa. Each episode revolves around a quirky client and how phoebe deals with them. The owner, the receptionist, rival masseuse, friendly masseuse and one regular client are the main cast along with phoebe. Mike rarely appears. (He was a cute boyfriend for Phoebe, but I hated that they ended together.)
Joey Tribbiani- Joey moves to Los Angeles and into an apartment building filled with other people who want to be involved in film or television. His new neighbors/friends are an actress, a writer, a director, an actor, an actor who looks just like Joey lives in the building, but they are adamant that they do not look alike, Joey loses some jobs to him. Joey is still a Casanova and is wooing the ladies, but he has a will they/won’t they relationship with the writer. The landlord is a once famous actor who fizzled out of Hollywood, he becomes Joey’s mentor. This would not necessarily be an ensemble show like Friends, but it would focus more on Joey. The other characters would get stories and development. However, it would not be uncommon for those characters to not appear or only show up for few minutes of some episodes This style would also allow for the reverse so the show could focus on the story of the other characters.
I think the original idea for Joey to be the one character that gets a spin-off was great but from what little I’ve seen of “JOEY” the showrunners and writers did not care about connecting the show to Friends, which is a shame. They could have hard reset his character back to “Friends” season one Joey, a lovable goofball, Casanova adjusting to Hollywood vs. New York.
Friends guest appearances on the Joey spin-off
Chandler visits and wants to paint the town red, being free of dad life suburban life, etc. he comes to town and Joey takes him to all kinds of Hollywood parties, but he falls asleep or gets tired. Joey feels bad but Chandler says it’s the second most fun he’s ever had- hint, hint.
Phoebe is brought to town by a client working on a movie she visits Joey and she of course has a gaggle of strange friends that she and Joey get into weird trouble. She gets him a small part in the movie because she cannot stop talking about how great he is.
Ross comes to town just to visit. He takes Joey to museums. Joey is bored and uninterested, but at each spot he meets the same girl and tries to talk to her, Ross unknowingly cock-blocks him, taking him to another exhibit or museum. The episode ends with Ross realizing that the girl is stalking Joey. Her character pops up occasionally throughout the show.
Rachel comes to town for LA Fashion Week she invites Joey. In attendance is a major director Joey hopes to schmooze. While backstage he encounters a hot model who flirts with him but he keeps getting blocked by a male model who is younger and has abs. Joey is eating a burger and the male model eats it in a desperate hunger because he’s been starving himself for the runway, he gets sick because of the unhealthy food. Rachel has no choice but to replace the model with Joey, who is reluctant because he wants to talk to director during the show. Joey goes down the runway in his Joey way and Rachel is embarrassed and thinks she is going to get fired, Joey thinks the director will never take him serious as an actor. Instead everyone loves Joey and he starts getting modeling offers as the new “Anti-Model” model. Rachel gets a promotion and Joey gets a nice part in the director’s new movie. Rachel comes to the apartment to thank Joey and just hangout, while there she meets The Writer, and notices the chemistry between them she points it out to Joey and begins the actual story of Joey realizing he has feelings for the writer.
Monica is in LA for a food expo. Joey is shooting a movie with a movie star that Monica loves, he plans to bring her to set so she can meet him. Arriving at his place with a large cooler of food she is taken aback at his surprisingly filthy apartment. Monica never leaves, she misses the entire expo and set visit because she cannot stop cleaning. Smelling the delicious food his new friends come over Joey introduces her to his new friends; we find out that Monica’s restaurant is super successful. She offers to make them dinner, they refuse, she insists, they accept and give her a laundry list of dietary restrictions, she looks forward to the challenge. Monica makes the meal and they enjoy it she learns more about them and tells Joey she was worried about him but knows that he has friends and people who love him just as much as the New York bunch. Its time to go home and Joey feels bad because he did not get to show Monica the movie set because she spent it cleaning up his mess. She says it was the best gift he could have ever given her.
Gunther’s spin-off would revolve around Central Perk. The show would mainly feature the café employees with Gunther as their boss. The staff are all different archetypes, there are a few regulars who make appearances.
Whilst all my previous Friends spin-off ideas are twenty-two-minute sitcoms set in the 90’s my idea for Rachel and Ross is modern and is a dramatic comedy for a premium cable network or streaming service (twenty-five to thirty minutes, no commercials). My Rachel and Ross spin off takes place ten years after Friends.
Tumblr media
I am one of those people who always thought Rachel should have gone to Paris. I hated that the show kept Ross and Rachel on the table after they broke up in season three. Seven seasons (i.e. years) had passed, it is not like they ever got back together during any of the seven years apart. Sex does not count as together. Also, to me the writers never wrote anything compelling enough about the two of them during those seven years that made me believe they would last. The catalyst of the show is Rachel gets a big career opportunity that would cause the family to have to rework somethings in their lives but overall it would have little effect on their overall lives, Ross asks her to turn it down because he cannot see past the changes, Rachel turns it down. A time later Ross gets a career opportunity that would uproot the entire family and have effects on everyone in the family. Rachel tells him to turn it down because the family cannot handle that kind of change suddenly. Ross takes it anyway.
Ross and Rachel- The iconic couple are getting divorced after so many years together. Rachel realizes that she has given up so much career wise, and that he is just not the husband and father she thought he would be. The show begins in the middle, the papers have already been filed and disputed and renegotiated. They live on the outskirts of the city, Rachel still works in fashion, Ross is still a paleontologist. Ben and Emma are their only children. Ross’ relationship with Ben (age 15 or 16) is strained. Ben is gender-queer and Ross refuses to accept it. They have a close relationship with Rachel. They want her to have primary custody (Carol and Susan moved to another state), much to Ross’ chagrin. Emma is a preteen and is acting out because she feels caught in the middle. Ross has moved out of state for his new job he comes back to deal with the divorce and to spend time with kids. The show focuses on Rachel getting back to herself and becoming the woman she wants to be and what she wants in a relationship and on Ross who wants to get his family back and who he is as a husband and father.
I could see Monica being on episodes caught in a hard place and Chandler taking Rachel’s side immediately. Joey is the true neutral friend and Phoebe is heart broken over the lobsters being broken.
Take away the Friends elements and it could just work as a show with original characters.
 *My least favorite idea

Road to Recovery 👣
Well, this is gonna be a long ass one. Also, this has been kinda drafted over the past... week? So it’s gonna be a real rollercoaster of a ride.
Had just binged Lucifer’s new season and was on reddit, looking at comments of redditors yelling at Luci to enjoy whilst he was finding stuff to freak out about.
Like him, I should have just been in the moment. Appreciated it. Instead of worrying about the next.
The past week has been.. emotional. Have been getting used to the fact that I might never speak or hear or see him again. Been also trying to focus on the bad to kinda ease the pain. At least it hurts a little less, less crying too. But it’s also like one day you do great, no crying, not much of missing and pain, but then the next, everything creeps in altogether and you fall apart.
The thing is... why does it hurt so bad? Things had been weird for months. I mean, I was the one who was always preparing myself for him to leave, I was the one who told myself I’d be okay even if we never went on the date. And I guess it just boils back to... expectations.
I expected him to care more, I didn’t expect that he’d be able to leave just like this. From regular convos to nothing in a week, now almost 2 weeks. I mean, we’ve had breaks. 1 day, 5 days, 10 days... It’s kinda strange if we were actually interested in the other. Maybe he wasn’t much of a texter and wanted to talk when we met. But did we really share much when we met? It’s odd... He doesn’t reply properly to texts, he disappears, he doesn’t really care much at times, but for some reason, I seem to remember the good more. It seemed like he does listen (at times), there were moments when I felt like he cared. A part of me still trusts him or sees the best in him.
Initially, I was trying to avoid talking about him so I would also stop thinking about him and I could move on. But I think talking about it also helps. Did also google about moving on from crushes, and that is a major point. Maybe I’ll never figure out what really went wrong, but maybe I could still give myself some sorta closure.  Though reminiscing does hurt too. Going back to the place where we met, which is basically my workplace which I’ve to be at almost every day... The memories flooding in about the conversations we had. But it also helps me to acknowledge my feelings and fears, stuff that I suppose I didn’t acknowledge then. Maybe if I had been less afraid and tried harder, especially during the times we were both around considering how hard it was to get our schedules together. He probably thought I wasn’t that interested and moved on. Guys fall fast, but they seem to move on pretty quick too.
Ended up dreaming about him last night... It was really nice. There was a shipment, I didn’t let myself have hope that it would have been him. And he turned around, and it was him. I said hey and touched his arm. I headed off downstairs talking to the other guys, one of them was teasing me for giving him my number. He came down too. We sat there for a bit, and I asked if I could lean on his shoulder, and we ended up hugging too. That was just wonderful, but it’s sad to know it’d never be reality.
And I guess all those breaks we had throughout the months still gives me the slightest bit of hope that he might return... But now, 2 whole weeks of not speaking. The glimmer of hope fades as each day passes. Maybe, distance is just what we need, I tell myself.
But now, there’s also a new guy. So I’m guessing the likelihood of seeing him ever again is almost impossible. But is it really so bad if we never spoke or see each other again? Did he even really care? What were we?
Feels like history is repeating itself, and honestly, after re-reading old posts, maybe it is. Okay, but this time was slightly different. I fought harder. I should be proud that I got his number, or well, convinced him to get mine. I should be proud for initiating those texts, for finally picking up that video call, for asking him out.
I do wonder at times if it would have been better if I was just honest from the start, that I was interested and I felt there’s something special, different, but not entirely sure what it was. I had friends tell me that I shouldn’t be too emotional about too much, especially at the start. I mean, I did do this the last time, granted they were all online friends, and now we’re still friends. Maybe it’s different being online vs irl.
Should I continue fighting for him or just let this be another regret/what if? I guess I chose the latter. I was still too afraid to make a move, I was still too afraid to admit my feelings. I wanted to tell him, I wanted to give him the choice. But I was afraid, what if he only says he feels the same because knowing what I felt? I couldn’t take the leap.
And the more I thought, the less I knew. What did I ever really know about you? What did I like about you? I guess I didn’t listen to myself enough, or to the rational part at least. The closer you look, the less you see. By the time I remember this, it was a little too late...
Tumblr media
I guess I need to stop trying to define everything. Some questions don’t have answers. Some stories won’t get closures. Not all friendships require daily talking. Why aren’t I okay with this? Am I just too attached to everyone? Does my life just basically revolve around people? Who the fuck am I?
I had been looking back at my old posts, all the way back to 2015, the darkest period of my life. I wanted to see what I did then, how did I handle it and pushed myself through. How the heck did I move on? Sure, it took me like... at least 2 years of moping around, then finally actually properly reaching out to get the help I needed. A couple months of counselling, pushing the focus back on myself, on self love and self care.
And all this unravelled within a couple months.
Granted, I think it was already starting to unravel early this year. All these work and personnel changes really fucked things up, with Covid just adding to it. And then comes those unexpected feelings, not knowing how to deal with it, worrying about how I’m gonna fuck it up, and in turn, fucking it up. Also, not giving myself a break when I truly needed it. I was afraid that if I took a break from texting him (okay I wasn’t really obsessively staring at my phone and replying immediately either, but I could have taken a proper break), I might have ended up losing him, and now, I’ve lost myself, I’ve lost him.
So yep, losing myself... this time, I don’t think I was able to keep it as contained as I did previously. Loss of appetite, exhaustion... I guess at least I don’t exactly sigh as much as I did during the start of the year? But I guess now with Covid and mom at home, she’s noticed the symptoms too. And I guess how I tend to stay cooped in my room, retreat back after meals etc, not really making as much convos with my parents too... Maybe even agitation or irritation as my mom noticed too...
She thinks it’s more physical, with my abnormal periods and stuff, like maybe I’m anaemic. Oof, and that one day she asked if I was alright because I didn’t seem happy. I literally broke down when I went back to my room. I try so hard to mask it all because I don’t want people to worry, and I want people to still be able to count on me when they need to. Though I’m pretty sure my colleagues noticed too. So I push myself. Sometimes I guess I pretend to be alright, cope with humour as my defence mechanism (self preservation through dissociation, amirite?), but then it comes crashing down the next day or next minute.
I’m just human. I need to allow myself to feel. I need to embrace that I feel a lot, sometimes a little too much. I shouldn’t hate myself for caring too much, for feeling too much. I need to remember to allow myself to rest, or else this burnt out and exhaustion won’t do me or anyone any good. Yes, I want to be there for others, but sometimes you need to save yourself first.
I’ve got one life to live, so I gotta live it. Right now it feels like I’m just surviving, otherwise basically floating through time and space. But it’s time to really live. it’s time to stop trying to keep everything under control. Sometimes a mistake is a destiny and sometimes we mess things up for the better. Stop comparing your progress and path to others.
Recovery isn’t a straight line. You’re gonna feel good and then bad. You’re gonna feel like a bad-ass bitch who needs no one, but then the next you might be crying from the pain of missing him. Sometimes it will just get worse before it gets better. Real growth isn’t linear, it’s a step forward and 20 steps back. You’re gonna be tempted to text him, to hear his voice, to try one more time, but then you also gotta remember all the progress you’ve made. People are hard to forget and change takes time.
Tumblr media
Like Chandler and Joey were nudging Ross to move on from Rachel back in Season 1, maybe your friends had nudged you to move on too. My friends have been. Maybe our happiness just aren’t meant to be with each other. But I would love for you to be happy, even if it’s without me.
So, I guess imma do a separate post about all the lessons I’ve re-learnt. It was a real headache trying to write this piece already. Thanks to anyone who’s actually taken the time to read this. Take care everyone!

Note
I recently had a dream about a plot for a fic where reddie get a duck from mike on their wedding day and the note makes it seem like it’s meaningful to their relationship and they spend their whole honeymoon trying to figure out what the deep meaning of this duck is and it turns out stan and bev dared mike to do it to fuck w/ them and when i woke up i immediately was like SOMEONE HAS TO WRITE THIS and i immediately thought of you! (literally u don’t have to it’s just funny how i thought of you)
Hi Nonnie! This *probably* isn’t what you had in mind, but I hope you like it anyway ^_^ ♥️
Your Love Life’s DOA (read on ao3)
“...a chick.”
“Pretty sure it’s a cock, dude.”
“It’s a chicken, asswipe. Cocks are roosters.”
“Huh. And here I thought cocks were—”
“Don’t,” Eddie Kaspbrak held up his hands, cutting Richie Tozier off mid-terrible-joke.
Richie just smirked, his eyes alight in a way that never failed to make Eddie’s stomach swoop.
“Cock, chicken, whatever it is,” he waved dismissively with the hand not cradling the miniature poultry, “it’s cute as fuck.”
Eddie stared at Richie staring down at the (probable) baby chicken, warmth spreading across his chest.
He only basked in the feeling for .2 seconds however as the irritation he had felt this morning when he opened the door to go grab their mail and nearly stomped on the little feather-ball, made a swift resurgence.
“But why the fuck was it outside our door?”
“...”
“Richie.”
“...”
“Rich.”
“...”
“Trashmouth!”
Richie’s head snapped up from where he had been gazing down at the chick that looked comically small in his ridiculously large hand.
Eddie’s treacherous stomach did an impressive (if annoying) front handspring.
“I don’t know, Eds. Maybe it was meant for the butcher shop down the street. Or a petting zoo,” he tilted his head, looking pensive, “maybe it’s Erica Delaney getting her sweet revenge on me after I broke our egg-son in the first five minutes of class. Or it’s the chicken god’s gift to us to raise in his image, fucked if I know. All I do know is,” he shrugged, gently, with one shoulder as to not jostle the chirping baby bird, “we're definitely keeping it.”
Eddie blinked.
“We can’t keep a chicken in the apartment, Richie.”
Richie’s eyebrows raised halfway up his expansive forehead.
“Why not? I own the building, and I say it’s all good for lil Chick-Fil-A to stay.”
“We’re not naming it after a homophobic chicken restaurant, dickwad.”
A slow smile spread across Richie’s face that had Eddie’s pulse simultaneously racing and screeching to a halt.
“...But we are keeping it?”
Fuck.
~*~
“Chicken Little?”
“No.”
“Chicken Run.”
“What?”
“Chick Flick.”
“Hell no.”
“Oh! Wait! I got it - Chicken Carbonara! Carbs for short.”
“You’re an idiot.”
“I agree,” Stanley Uris piped up as he meandered his way over to where Eddie and Richie (baby chick loudly making her presence known in his shirt pocket) were arguing at the sink, glass in hand, topping up Patty’s Merlot.
“You don’t have a horse in this race, Staniel,” Richie dismissed his input, gently running a finger over the chick’s fuzzy head, adopting a sickening sweet baby voice, “Isn’t that right, Carbs? Uncle Stan the Man wouldn’t know a good nickname if it kicked him in the face.”
“Coming from the man called ‘Trashmouth.’”
“Eds gave me that name, so blame him,” Richie quirked an eyebrow, elbowing the man in question.
Eddie’s Chardonnay tipped dangerously close to the rim of the glass.
Richie ignored his murderous glare.
“Now all we need,” Richie beamed with pride as ‘Carbs’ gave another loud chirp from her cloth perch, “...is a duck.”
Eddie winced, “You need to stop binge-watching Friends, Rich. Who are we, Joey and Chandler?”
“Dibs on Chandler!”
Eddie rolled his eyes, gesturing up and down at Richie.
“Well duh.”
Richie merely smirked, tilting his head at him, “You’re definitely more of a Monica than a Joey, though.”
“So in this scenario, you two are married?”
Both Eddie and Richie whirled around to blink at Stan who had attracted the attention of the rest of the Losers, each now awaiting some sort of response with rising interest.
Eddie refused to give one.
He also refused to look at Richie not give one.
“Ooh we’re playing the Which Friends Character Are You game, huh?” Richie asked, stepping around Stan, eyes still focussed on the chick.
Stan rolled his eyes, “There’s eight of us, it doesn’t work.”
“Spoken like a true Ross.”
Stan shook his head and sighed.
Like the Ross he was.
“Alright, I’m game,” Bev piped up, raising her glass from across the room, her eyes glinting at Richie.
“Do your worst, Trashmouth.”
Richie smirked, clearly tickled by the challenge.
“Alright, Marsh,” he cleared his throat, beginning to pace the room like Columbo at the end of every episode, where he explained how he solved the whole damn case with nothing but a moved potted plant, “You’re Phoebe obviously, because you’re a fiery but lovable enigma who’s cooler than all of us combined.”
Bev chuckled, “Damn straight.”
“Haystack here,” Richie whirled around, cradling Carbs to his chest in one hand and pointing with the other, “is our Joey for his actor good-looks and lovable nature.”
Ben sank down into the couch next to Bev, picking up her socked-feet and rubbing them, “I’ll take it.”
Bev grinned, “I did always think Joey and Phoebe should’ve got together. Although Paul Rudd was great.”
“Which leads me to,” Richie turned to his left, smirking.
“Oh no,” Mike held up his hands, “count me out. Black people weren’t even a thing on Friends until like season 9 or whatever so—”
“Oh yeah, the diversity sucks ass Mikey, no one’s disputing that,” Richie agreed with a nod, “but hear me out. You’re Mike, Mike! A sexy, African-American Paul Rudd. Think about it...you may come in late in the game but you win everyone over instantly with your good looks, nerdy charm and wicked air-piano skills! Just like you did with the Losers Club!”
Mike blinked, amused.
Stan tilted his head.
“I don’t think that’s exactly—”
“Same with Patty!”
Richie cut Stan off, clearly on a roll, whirling around to point at his wife.
“It feels like she’s always been with us, right?” he asked the group at large, smile pleased when everyone nods in agreement, Bev winding an arm around her from where she was perched on the arm of the couch, causing Patty to flush and grin behind her wine glass at the compliment.
“And you know who was always with the Friends? Always there, like an honorary 7th member? Or 8th in this case?”
Eddie rolled his eyes, not quite believing he was going to participate in this.
“Gunther.”
Richie winked, “Gold star for Kaspbrak.”
“She does make a mean Cappuccino,” Stan mumbled almost absentmindedly as Patty gave her charming snort-laugh, letting her head rest against her husband’s shoulder as he stood next to the couch.
“Which leaves…”
Richie slowly turned on the spot, like the dramatic bastard he was.
“Congrats, Bill. You’re Rachel. Our Jen Aniston. People are gonna start copying your hairstyle soon.”
Bill chuckled, “Yeah, don’t think ‘The Bill’ has quite the same ring to it, Rich.”
Richie gave a dismissive wave.
“It’ll catch on. Then you’ll become a mega movie star and forget the rest of us exist. Except for Eddie, of course.”
Bill frowned.
“Why just Eddie?”
Richie threw him an exasperated look.
“Because he’s Monica! Courteney Cox. Best friend of Jen to this day. Duh.”
“So you two are married, then?”
Eddie felt his throat tighten as Richie squared his shoulders at Stanley, gently putting Carbs in her bed before huffing out a laugh.
“Nah man, we’re still in the friends-who-help-friends-give-their-dates-orgasms-in-seven-steps, stage.”
Stan rolled his eyes.
“Right.”
Eddie watched as the two friends stared at one another, a weird tension draping over them.
And in true Phoebe-style, Bev broke it.
“Hey, who wants to hear my Smelly Cat rendition?”
Richie’s analysis was flawed, of course. Bill didn’t know jack about fashion (that was Bev), Ben built stages not performed on them, Stan actually loved, cherished and respected his partner, Patty wasn’t desperately in unrequited love with Bill (that was Mike, though it was requited), Mike wasn’t married to Bev (that was Ben) and Bev…
Well.
Bev was spot on, actually. A riddle, wrapped in an enigma, shrouded in mystery, all while being simultaneously cool and lovable.
And Eddie?
He was Monica Geller and proud of it, dammit.
A damn shame Courteney never got the Emmy-nom, in his opinion.
As for Richie?
Richie wasn’t Chandler Bing. Chandler Bing was Richie Tozier.
“If only they had let Chandler be gay,” Richie sighed wistfully as Eddie closed the door, waving off the last of their guests, Bill and Mike as they hopped in an Uber headed for Casa Denbrough.
“Why? So you could fuck Ben instead?”
Eddie knew how his voice sounded as he slowly leaned back against the door, reaching out to pull Richie towards him by his collar, crashing their lips together in a bruising kiss that he had ached for all night.
Richie gasped into his mouth, his hands roaming Eddie’s body like a hyperactive octopus, pressing him back against the door and rolling his bottom lip between his teeth.
Eddie groaned, breaking the kiss, staring up at his best-friend-turned-secret-boyfriend.
“So, when do we tell them we hooked up at Ben and Bev’s wedding?”
Richie chuckled, leaning down and pressing his lips against Eddie’s neck, right over the spot he knew drove him crazy, breathing hot against his skin.
“Not until I ask Bill for his eyelash curler and Ben figures us out. Duh.”
~*~
They really should have been all fucked out after three weeks of eating, drinking, sleeping and sex-ing in Barbados, and yet, as soon as they got back to their apartment, they christened their old bed, their leaking shower and the living room floor because they just couldn’t get enough of each other.
Married.
They were fucking married.
Husbands.
Legally bound.
Til death—
No, not even death could stop them. They proved that already.
“You’re heavy,” Eddie groaned, his chest vibrating under where Richie had his face squished against it.
“It’s all the Barbadian food, dude. S’gone straight to my thighs.”
Eddie brushed his hand along said thigh, squeezing roughly.
“Hmm. I like your thighs.”
“I like you.”
“You better. You’re kinda stuck with me now.”
Richie lifted his head off Eddie’s sweaty chest, smiling softly, interlocking their left hands, pressing their rings together.
“Guess my love life isn’t D.O.A anymore, huh.”
Eddie groaned, and not in the sexy way he had been five minutes before.
“Those Friends references grew old in the nineties, dude. Stop.”
Richie pecked at his lips, letting out a sound of disagreement.
“I’ll have you know, Eds, I—”
The unmistakable sound of a knock echoed throughout the apartment.
They blinked at one another.
“Who the fuck is that? No one knows we’re home yet.”
The post-Honeymoon-fuck had come (heh) above all - including texting the group chat that they had made it back safely onto California soil.
Marriage had made them selfish like that.
Eddie shrugged, “I don’t know. Could be Rosa dropping off Carbs. I did tell her we’d be back today, and she might have like...sensed us. You know what she’s like.”
Rosa was their downstairs neighbour, a lovable, elderly woman who seemed to have had a sixth sense for everything Richie and Eddie-related even before they had become a couple, often calling them out for the pining bullshit before they got their act together, got tipsy at Benverly’s wedding and jumped each other.
Or as Richie put it once - “She high-key ships us, man. Wants us to bone it out.”
To this day, Eddie had no idea what that meant.
Another knock came, this one louder.
“Alright, I’m coming,” Eddie called out, pushing a whining Richie off his chest before he could make the obvious joke and forcing himself to sit up, grimacing as the sheet stuck to his back.
He’d have to be the one to answer. No way he was unleashing a half-naked Richie onto Mrs Hernandez.
Eddie actually had the decency to pull on sweatpants and an old Trashmouth-tee before padding to the door.
He knew his husband did not.
Husband.
Eddie smiled to himself, his stomach doing its usual somersaults that he knew would never fully disappear.
Richie Tozier, his lifelong best friend, was now his husband too.
Crazy.
“Sorry Rosa, we were—”
His incredibly made-up-on-the-spot excuse died on his lips as he opened the front door to reveal - nothing.
Frowning, Eddie stared into the empty air, turning his head to glance down the very vacant hallway.
And then, he heard it.
Quack!
“Oh, not again.”
“Duck!”
Richie said it like fuck.
Like he had been human-autocorrected.
“Yes, Richie, I see that,” Eddie sighed at his husband who had appeared over his shoulder, still shirtless, staring down at the baby duck sitting pretty in a box, much like Carbs had two years before.
“We’re not naming him Daffy,” Eddie grumbled, bending down to gently pick up the box, cradling the duckling against his chest and kicking the door shut.
Richie opened his mouth.
“Or Donald.”
Richie closed his mouth.
One quack called Donald was enough.
“We’ll brainstorm,” Richie grinned, leaning down and capturing Eddie’s lips, before softly patting the new addition to their family on the head.
They’d find the note later. The one that read,
To Chandler and Monica,
You two were the last to find out.
Not Stan.
Here’s a brother for Carbs.
We left her with you as a prank, for Richie’s Friends obsession, but you became the best dads ever instead. You’ll do it again.
Just don’t get them stuck in the Foosball Table.

The One with the Drunken Confession (Chandler Bing x Reader)
Request: Can you do one with chandler and its based off with ross, Rachel, and the drunk phone call?
Character: Chandler Bing
Fandom: Friends
Word Count: 3879 (woah, that’s loooong for me....oops)
A/n: So this is based off of season 2 episode 7 but with Chandler and the reader and the majority of it doesn’t follow how Rachel and Ross got together other than drunk phone call portion. I’m sorry that this took so long, but I hope you like it!! There also may be some grammar mistakes because I didn’t have a ton of time to edit this!
Tumblr media
“Chandler!” Phoebe exclaimed. “Don’t look!”
Of course this exclamation only caused Chandler to raise his head from his New York Times newspaper, to see you and your boyfriend kissing outside Central Perk’s window.
“Great going Pheebs.”
Chandler immediately shook his head placing his paper onto the table to face the group. “No no no no no guys, I’m okay. I’m fine. I’m so cool with it that I don’t even feel anything at all. No jealously, no regret, nothing.”
“Chandler. You don’t have to pretend in front of us.” Monica placed her hand on his shoulder. She’d felt terrible after she’d found out you’d started dating another guy. You’d spent months telling her how hard you’d fallen for the sarcastic, lanky friend of yours that she’d convinced Chandler to tell you how he felt….only he’d realized it too late.
“I’m not pretending. I’m just deflecting.” Chandler meant for it to come out as a joke, but no one laughed, because to them, it wasn’t a joke. It felt like any time you or Chandler would get the courage to tell the each other how you felt, something got in the way. This time it happened to be your boyfriend Jack.
Jack was a nice guy (who Phoebe also claimed was incredibly hot, and no one in the group, including Ross, Joey, and even Chandler could deny her that), which meant that all your friends hated to admit how great he seemed because each of them knew how perfect you and Chandler would be together.
“Chandler honey, it might be good for you to go on a date,” Rachel continued almost worried she’d over stepped her boundaries by suggesting it, “you know, find a distraction to take your mind off of her. I know how hard this is for you, believe me.”
Chandler shook his head. “Thanks guys, but I don’t think I’m quite ready for that. Unlike Joey, it doesn’t take me less than five minutes to get over the woman I’m in love with.”
That caused Joey’s head to snap towards his best friend. “Just because you’re upset you didn’t have the balls to tell (Y/n) how you feel doesn’t mean you get to question how long it takes me to get over a woman. I am a gentleman.”
The door to the coffee shop opened and Chandler watched as you walked in, arm linked to Jack, feeling his heart drop. Suddenly, Chandler didn’t care that Joey had snapped at him, and now all he could focus on was you. Joey took the opportunity to nudge Ross’ arm and discreetly whisper on the verge of laughing, “No he’s definitely right, I am an asshole.”
Ross didn’t laugh at his friends comment. “Quit being such a child Joey. Chandler’s really broken up about this.”
Ross and Joey turned to get a glance at the scene before them. While they knew you wouldn’t notice, they could tell by the way he was looking at you as you walked into the coffee shop, that he wasn’t joking when he said he was in love with you.
“Hey guys.” You spoke cheerfully, taking a seat on the couch, as Rachel and Monica made room for you and Jack. They all had either replied with a hello in return or a simple nod, except for Chandler, who couldn’t seem to muster either.
“What have you two been up to?” Monica asked, trying to keep the conversation flowing. Any time Jack hung out around the group, they never knew what to do. It was hard for them to be supportive of your relationship when they knew how much it was hurting Chandler, and how much they knew you felt the same way as him.
“Jack took me to visit his grandma Jean.” You smiled at your boyfriend lovingly. “It was really great getting to meet her.”
Chandler’s heart sunk even further. When had your relationship gotten so serious? The last time you’d said anything to him, you hadn’t even met Jack’s parents, but maybe things had changed. Meeting the family, is a huge step, isn’t it? Chandler had never been good at relationships or commitment, and to be honest, you are the only person Chandler could ever think of him taking to meet his parents. Besides, you’d already met his parents and you hadn’t run out on him like everyone else did. And that meant something to him, but that also meant, if your relationship with Jack worked out, it would take him an exponentially long time to ever get over you.
He felt utterly stupid knowing that at one point, you had felt the same way. You were the best of friends. That’s all Chandler ever thought you felt about him. And for some reason, as hard as he tried, he couldn’t bring himself to be happy for you, even though that’s what he desperately wanted. Monica had told him that you’d had feelings for him for a few years now and to be quite honest, that only made him feel worse. You’d said nothing when he was with Janice...and he and Janice had been off and on, and somewhat serious. God, if you had felt half as heart broken as the way he was feeling in this moment, he wouldn’t know what he’d do. How did you get through it? It wasn’t like he could ask you.
///////
The night was only getting started for Chandler. He had the apartment to himself, Joey on a date with God knows who, and enough beer (and maybe something a touch stronger) to help him forget all about the pain he felt.
It only took him about an hour, a couple beers (and some vodka) before he was feeling more than tipsy. If he thought getting drunk would help him forget about you, he was sorely mistaken. It only intensified his loneliness.
Sitting on the floor with the duck and the rooster, he half smiled. “You know what? You’re right! I should call her.” He nodded his head as the duck walked aimlessly around the apartment. “I-I just need to....to...tell her I’m over her. Yeah,” he pointed towards the wall, beer in hand, “I am over you.”
Picking up the phone, he dialed your number, only to get your voicemail. Deciding he wanted to leave a message, he waited for the sound of your voice, letting him know that this was your voicemail box, your sweet and cheery tone, causing him to smile, only for a moment, to be interrupted by that ever-so-annoying beep.
“Hi (Y/n). It’s Chandler, your best friend in the entire universe.” His tone dropped at the word friend, feeling how wrong it felt to say. He felt the need to mention how much being only your friend, was hurting him. “Because we’re not a couple....you know? Even though I really wanted to be.” His voice let out a dejected squeak that he wasn’t intending on, but it really didn’t seem to bother him. His mind was whirling with all he wanted to say to you that he knew he couldn’t face to face.
“Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that whatever feelings I had for you, I’m getting over them. I am over you. Utterly and undeniably over you, so you don’t have to worry.” He chuckled, the knot in his chest tightening. “Oh and I’m happy for you. So so so happy. You and Jack make an amazing couple....I just always saw us being together one way or another.” At this point, Chandler knew he was rambling, but he really wanted to get his message across, despite it being a lie. He was hardly getting past the fact that you’d never be together.
“I know we’re constantly dancing around each other. It’s kind of a funny story.” He let out a sad laugh as he heard it pierce out of his throat. “Monica, she told me how you felt about me. And I’m really sorry you had to do that....watch me with Janice I mean. I know how hard it is to have to watch the person you’re madly in love with, be with someone else. Anyway,” he trailed off, “I won’t make this message any longer than it has to be. I should have told you how I felt, and I’m sorry.”
Chandler hung up the phone and maybe it was because he was drunk, it didn’t quite seem to sink in with him just how he’d ended the message.
“I’m going to regret that in the morning, aren’t I?” His slurred words were directed at the rooster and the duck, but they didn’t seem to be listening to what he had to say. Chandler, still decently drunk, followed behind them as they waddled into his room, somehow, Chandler taking that as their response to his question. “I agree. I definitely am.”
/////
“Shit.” He felt like screaming. “Dammit. I don’t....I don’t know.” He paced for a moment before rubbing his temples in anger and exhaustion. “Why would I do that?” Chandler began to panic, remembering what he’d said in the message he’d left for you.
You’d probably be at Monica’s place and hopefully for his sake, you hadn’t checked your messages yet.
/////
“Hey!” You greeted Chandler as he briskly walked into the apartment. “How was your night?”
“It was okay.” That was a total and utter lie, but what was he supposed to say?
“You think Monica would mind if I checked my messages here? I didn’t have time to last night but my boss said he was going to leave a message for me about an upcoming client.”
Ah yes. With you being a lawyer, Chandler knew all about your boss and your clients, considering that when you needed to complain about work, he always listened. (And vice versa).
His long voicemail to you slipped his mind, and he found himself nodding. "I don’t think Monica would even notice.” He gave you a smile, but almost as soon as it was on his face, it had dropped. Shit. What had he done?
You grinned at him, pressing the button on the machine to play your messages, the first one from your boss. As the voicemail came to an end, Chandler knew what was coming and raced towards the machine, hearing his voice begin to emit from it.
“Hi (Y/n). It’s Chandler, your best friend in the entire universe.”
“No no no. You do not need to hear this!” Chandler tried to turn it off before you stepped in front of him.
"Why?" You asked. "I'm sure it's harmless. Besides, I love the messages you leave me."
"Not this one." He grimaced. "I was drunk and it was really stupid."
“If you were drunk then I definitely need to hear this.”
You meant for it to come across as a joke but Chandler wasn’t laughing, and all you could see was fear in his eyes. While you two had been speaking (Chandler trying to get you to not listen to the message, and you insisting that you wanted to hear it) you’d missed a small part of it.
“Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that whatever feelings I had for you, I’m getting over them. I am over you.”
It was Chandler’s voice, clear as day, but it almost didn’t seem real. It wasn't like any of the other voicemails he'd ever left you and the words he spoke surprised you. You were listening to the voicemail so intently that you hadn’t noticed him anxiously move towards the door in shame.
“I know how hard it is to have to watch the person you’re madly in love with, be with someone else.”
This wasn’t real. It couldn’t be, not for a number of reasons, the main one being that Chandler had never been in love with you. Ever. It just didn’t make any sense.
“I won’t make this message any longer than it has to be. I should have told you how I felt, and I’m sorry.”
The machine clicked. All of your new messages had been played. You turned to Chandler, seeing how scared he looked. “You’re over me? What the hell is that supposed to mean. When were you ever into me?”
Chandler couldn’t even look at you. He was too afraid, and judging by your tone, you weren’t too happy with him either. (Not that he didn’t think he deserved it). “I’m sorry. It was a stupid thing to do. I was just really really drunk and I didn’t realize I’d done it until this morning.”
You felt angry, and hurt. Why hadn’t he told you sooner, before you’d gotten into a relationship with Jack. This man....He'd broken your heart more than once, and now he accidentally proclaims his love for you, just as soon as you're in a stable, healthy relationship. You had left him alone. When he was with Janice, and you saw that it could've been something serious, you hid your pain and you let him be happy, despite Monica, Phoebe, and Rachel telling you otherwise. All these emotions that had died down were now resurfacing. It had taken you months, possibly even years to get over Chandler, and now once you thought you had, he pulls a fast one on you and rips the ground right from your feet.
“You know what Chandler? I don’t think I can deal with this right now and I sure as hell don’t think I deserve to have to deal with this right now.”
The door opens as Monica, Rachel, Ross, and Joey walk into the apartment, only to see tears on your face, and Chandler absolutely distraught. Pushing past your friends, you walk out the door, directing your words at Chandler, ignoring the look Monica gives you, “Don’t follow me. I need some time.”
/////
“God Chandler. What the hell happened?” Joey asks incredulously, each member of the group sitting on the couch, ears ready to listen.
“I did something that I shouldn’t have. I said some things that (Y/n) really didn’t deserve to hear right now, and I just hope I haven’t screwed everything up.”
Monica gives him one of her all-knowing looks. “I’m sure it couldn’t have been that bad.”
“Monica, it had to be, or she wouldn’t have been that angry with him.” Joey unnecessarily points out, essentially prodding at Chandler's guilt. “So,” he immaturely grins, “what’d ya do?”
Chandler grimaces at his friends words and begins to mentally prepare for their scrutiny. “I told her I loved her. Not that I still do, but that I did once, and that I’m completely over her. Although I kind of implied that I’m still in love with her. I...I don’t know anymore.”
Rachel splutters. "You did what?"
"Dude." Ross utters. "Do you know how long it took for her to get over you? And now you tell her how you feel."
“I know.” He places his hands in his face in frustration.
Chandler couldn't have looked any more ashamed if he tried. He's upset at the fact that he could ever hurt you and even though he was drunk, he knows how badly he's messed up.
Phoebe turns to him with empathy in her eyes. "Ross is right. But I also know that I'm more right than Ross is." She smiles, flipping her hair over one shoulder, something that she does frequently as a display of her self confidence. "So, here goes.” Thus began a characteristic Phoebe, ‘pick me up’ speech. “You belong together. The two of you have been chasing circles around each other for years, and now is your chance. She already knows how you feel. Now talk to her and get her to believe it, because she's not going to take a chance on a relationship between the two of you happening, unless (Y/n) believes that you truly mean it."
"And we all know you do." Monica chimes in reassuringly, a bright and wide smile on her face.
He faces the group, a contemplative gaze in his eyes. “You really think I should go after her? She just told me-“
Joey grins. “She told you not to follow her. She didn’t tell you not to come after her.”
Somehow Joey’s stupid comment makes him smile. He knows telling Joey that following you, and going after you are basically are the exact same things will get him nowhere. And maybe he, and especially Phoebe, have a point. If he doesn’t go after you now, he might regret it for his entire life.
You’d known each other since Ross brought Chandler to their house back when you were all in college (Ross and Chandler your seniors by a couple of years). You hadn’t known Joey and Phoebe, none of you had, but Rachel, Ross, and Monica, they’d all been in both of your lives for quite some time.
He’d felt different than he ever had when he’d first seen you. Different, but good. It took a good few years for him to figure out that it wasn’t just some silly crush, but that he was in love with you, and once he did, nothing seemed to be the same around you. Clearly you hadn’t noticed his feelings for you, or you would have said something to him. He hadn’t noticed how you felt and hopefully still feel for him, assuming that you would never fall for a guy like him: awkward and unable to commit to anyone.
Standing up, Chandler makes a decision. “I’m going to go find her. I need to at least have her hear what I need to say, and if she doesn’t want anything to do with me, I’ll just have to accept that.”
“Trust me Chandler. It may take her some time, but she’ll come around.” Phoebe smiles. “(Y/n) loves you too much to ever let you go.”
Chandler stands still for a moment, his thoughts getting to him, before Joey nudges him harshly in the arm. “Go get your woman Chandler.”
Ross grins, mocking Joey. “Yeah Chandler. You,” he points at him enthusiastically, “you go get your woman.”
//////
Chandler knows you well enough to know that when you’re upset, you always head back to your apartment. Being a homebody, you don’t tend to go out to think, or to soothe your pain, and luckily for him, you live in the apartment exactly above Monica’s.
Knocking on the door seems easy. Very easy. But what if you slam it right back in his face? What if Jack is there? And what if Jack ends up wanting to get into a fight with him because it’s all too real....too raw. Raising his hand up to the green painted wood is terrifying, but almost as if he’s in auto pilot, Chandler knocks anyway.
You look through the peep hole when you hear a firm knock at your door. ‘What have I done? Why did I do that?’ Your past actions running through your mind like a wildfire.
You’re not surprised that that is what goes through your mind. You’d spent almost 6 months with Jack, and you’d given it all away, for something that might never work out. You’d broken up with Jack...for Chandler. You also know that you shouldn’t want to see Chandler, but for some reason, you can’t help but hope that he hadn’t listened to you, and that he decided to follow you. Somehow your heart always leads you back to him, whether you like it or not.
“Chandler?” Opening the door, he pushes in without you offering, clearly upset about something. “I thought I told you to not follow me.”
He looks scared, but utterly determined, with a look in his eyes that you’ve never seen from him before. “And I told you that I loved you (Y/n). Drunk or not, that means something to me.”
“You can’t just do that to me and expect me to drop everything for you.” Even though that’s exactly what you had done, you couldn’t let him in that easily. “I was happy with Jack. For the first time since you, since I’d fallen for you, I was happy. When I was with him, I wasn’t thinking about what I didn’t have, about who didn’t want to be with me, or what it could be like if you had wanted me back. It was just him, and me, and it was what I needed.” You push yourself further away from him as he stares intently at you. “Why can’t you understand that?”
“I can. And I will.” He gestures between the two of you. “But I need to know that you’re fully committed to Jack, and that you don’t love me. That you are over me.” He pauses. “Because I am not over you....not even close. But if you want to be with Jack, and you want a life with him, and not me, I will move on as best as I can.”
“Hold on a minute.” You stop him, feeling all the emotions come out at once. “You had no right to tell me that you had feelings for me. Everything was perfect with Jack. Whatever we had with each other, maybe that ship has sailed.”
“What,” Chandler asks, seeing your irritation only fueling him, “so you’re just going to put away your feelings? Hide them away like none of this ever happened? Like we could never happen?”
“I’ve been doing it since the day I met you.” You exclaim in anger. “I’ve gotten pretty damn good at it.”
You didn’t know why you were being so stubborn. You’d broken up with Jack, more so, he’d broken up with you, because even he could see that you still had feelings for Chandler.
“And you’re committed to him?” Chandler’s tone softens. “Jack?”
You wanted to say yes, just to throw it in his face. You’re still angry, but every second you look into his eyes, you can feel yourself becoming less upset. “No.” You say dejectedly. “I don’t think I could ever be fully committed to Jack. Not with you always on my mind, and he noticed it too.”
Chandler takes a few steps towards you, nervous and scared. He cups your face in his hands, waiting....looking into your eyes before he leans down to capture your lips with his. When he does, you feel a weight has been lifted off of your shoulders. You had been waiting for this kiss for years and now that it’s happening, you feel free.
Taking control, you run your hands through his hair, and you can feel him smile. His hands move down to your waist as his mouth leaves your lips to place a kiss on your neck. You let out a breath, and a laugh, Chandler beginning to tickle your sides. The kiss had turned from passionate and heavy, to silly and giggly in a matter of seconds. But it felt right, because Chandler was nothing if he wasn’t making people laugh.
“I meant what I said.” His voice is higher than usual, and his cheeks are flushed as he tries to catch his breath. He looks dazed, and you smile at the look he’s giving you. “I love you.”
Happily (happier than you’ve ever been before) you grin. “I love you too.”

The One Where They Go Camping (Part One)
Tumblr media
Pairing: Chandler Bing x Reader
Time: 1994 (Season One)
Word count: 1124
Cute-o-meter: 9/10
Hot-o-meter: 5/10
Sad-o-meter: 0/10
Fun-o-meter: 8/10
The seven of you had decided to spend a week away from the hustle of the city, in the mountains, near a big lake. The nearest town was 30km/19miles away, and Phoebe’s grandma’s cab was parked 7km/4miles away.
You had just finished setting up your tents. They were five, and were disposed facing each other, so you all could sit at the entrance and talk at night.
Everything felt so quiet and comforting in that place... You looked at the big, bright, blue sky with only a few clouds on it, and felt happy and at home. It was really nice to be there with your friends.
‘Hey, (y/n)!’, Joey called from inside his tent. ‘Wanna go to the lake?’
‘Sure, let me just get my bikini’, you answered, and went inside your own tent to change.
‘Is everyone ready?’, asked Ross. ‘It’s important that we stay together, so nobody gets lost.’
‘In a minute!’, shouted Rachel.
Both you and Chandler let out a quick laugh. She was always the last one to be ready. As you heard each other laugh, your eyes met for a second, but he quickly looked away.
Still a little insecure, you walked towards him, taking little steps, with your hands in the pockets of your shorts.
‘I feel like I haven’t seen you all week’, you told him.
And it was true. It had been precisely a week since he stopped hanging out with you guys at Central Perk. You kept wondering what could have happened, if he had just been busier than usual, or if he had gotten a new girlfriend who was so great he forgot about you all. That particular thought made your heart sink like a stone.
‘I know, I feel the same. I’ve been so swamped at the office I didn’t even have time to breathe.’, he said.
You felt a little better after realising there was no reason to be paranoid. If he had a new girlfriend, he would have told the group. At least, he would have told Joey. Either way, you would have known.
Rachel finally got out of her tent, and you headed to the lake. You kept talking to Chandler while you walked, there were too many things you wanted to ask.
‘And tell me, how are things going... relationship-wise?’, you asked him.
‘Pretty much the same since I broke up with Janice.’, he answered. Something in his smile made you feel like he had been meaning for you to ask that question for a long time. ‘And you, is there anything that I should know about?’
‘I guess there isn’t’, you replied, giving him the exact same smile.
***
‘Let’s play a game!’, suggested Monica as you arrived to the lake.
‘Which game?’, you asked.
‘Any game!’, she answered.
‘Oh, I know one, I know one!’, Rachel said immediately. ‘We could play that one in which we make pairs, and one person is on their teammate’s shoulders, and you have to push the other people to the water. Last team standing wins!’
‘That does sound fun!’, Ross agreed, and then turned to Monica. ‘Geller team?’
‘Geller team!’, she replied enthusiastically. ‘The winning team, obviously.’
Rachel was already teaming up with Joey, when Chandler looked at you, the question in his eyes.
‘What about Phoebe?’, you asked.
‘You guys team up, don’t worry about me, I wanna be the ref!’, she told you.
‘Okay!’, you grinned. ‘ Let’s do this!’
You guys were already in the lake, and everyone seemed ready to start the game. When Phoebe gave the signal, you and Chandler went right across the lake to run away from the Gellers, who were chasing you at an impressive speed. He kept both of his hands on your legs so you wouldn’t fall.
Ross threw water at you, and you splashed him back immediately. Monica tried to push you back, but you ducked right in time. You all laughed loudly, and Chandler took his right hand from your leg to push Monica back.
Joey and Rachel came from the other side of the lake, and were about to reach Monica and Ross, giving you both some time to go away and make a proper plan.
‘Okay, we’ll go after the Gellers, right?’, he asked you.
‘Totally! Joey and Rachel will be easier to defeat once those two are out. Maybe you should push Ross’s leg with yours under the water, he’s not expecting it, and it might make them lose balance.’
‘I like the way you think, (y/n).’
You smiled.
‘Okay, I think Joey and Rachel just escaped them, so they are coming in our direction!’, you pointed out.
You faced them as they were making their way towards you through the water. It was time to put your plan in motion.
When they reached you, Chandler hit Ross’s leg, making them shiver, but not fall.
‘I bet that was (y/n)’s idea!’, Monica shouted, tightening her grip.
‘Your bet is right, Mon!’, you screamed, and as Chandler took one step in their direction, you pushed her to the water, making a huge splash as she fell down.
‘We did it!’, Chandler screamed.
‘We are awesome!’ you added proudly.
You tried to hug his head and requested a high-five as Monica came back to the surface and stood on her feet.
‘You beat us this time’, she said, grinning cheerfully and splahing your feet. ‘Let’s go, Ross, we need to see who wins.’
You and Chandler were so busy celebrating the fact that you took down the Gellers that you didn’t see Joey and Rachel getting closer and colser to you. When you finally heard them, it was too late. They were already standing at your right side, and pushing both of you to the left.
You didn’t see that coming at all. And falling like that, it felt like slow motion. Chandler lost balance first, as his left foot was lifted from the ground and the water splashed around you when he fell. Impulsively, you pushed yourself to the front, and ended up falling right into his arms, as the small drops of water were lifted.
You emerged from the water, expecting to feel a little awkward after being locked in that unexpected embrace, but you didn’t. You were now both lying in the shallow end of the lake, his arms still around you, and you were laghing at that whole situation like two children would, but also staring intensely into each other’s eyes. You put your hand behind his neck, and fought the urge to kiss him as your friends approached you.
‘And the winners are... RACHEL AND JOEY!’, Phoebe screamed.
But it certainly did not feel like it. At least not for you.

Top 5 ships that should have happened and Top 5 ships that should NEVER have happened
Anon, this is fucking hard and that’s why it’s taken me a week to answer. It was also a really good one. You’re gonna get descriptions for everything!
Top 5 Ships That Should Have Happened
1. Wynonna x Dolls (Wynonna Earp). For fuck’s sake, it was a perfect slow burn between two messed up, truly good people. They had chemistry, they had humor, they had each other’s backs. They are seriously one of my OTP’s of OTP’s. Xavier Dolls is one of if not my absolute favorite character of all time, and he still deserves better than what he got. He deserved to fall in love with Wynonna, he deserved to know she loved him, they deserved to find happiness with each other and their found family. I’M STILL MAD ABOUT IT.
2. Jack x Elizabeth (Pirates of the Caribbean). STILL MAD ABOUT ELIZABETH SWANN’S ENDING, GONNA DIE MAD ABOUT IT PROBS. Look, Will is nice enough and whatever, but Jack saw who she really was and stoked that fire. She’s a fucking pirate, not a little mom who sits on an island with her kids waiting for Daddy to come back from sea every 7 fucking years. Jack and Elizabeth had chemistry out the wazoo, they would have OWNED the 7 seas. Please pretend Jack isn’t played by Johnny Depp but still looks like he does.
3. Jane x Maura (Rizzoli and Isles). I was so done with this show’s shit that I almost buried all my memories of it lmao listen. LISTEN. Maybe Sasha made it gay on purpose. Maybe they had no idea what they had on their hands. I don’t know. All I know is that there is so much chemistry between Sasha Alexander and Angie Harmon that you could power the United States for 10 years. THE LOOKS. THE TOUCHES. THE FLIRTING BANTER. This show was painful to watch. This show is also one of the absolute best examples of actual queer baiting. It pains me to think about the “bound for life” promo poster. IT PHYSICALLY HURTS. These two are god damn soul mates and you can’t change my mind. Fuck JTam. They did their level best to not let it be gay, and yet they somehow failed.
4. Jackson x April (Grey’s Anatomy). Lord have mercy, I know this ship technically DID happen, but it should have fucking KEPT HAPPENING instead of all the god damn bullshit that happened instead. Slow burn, friends to lovers, perfect for each other. Ugh, I stopped watching the show because of the crap they kept putting these two through. THEY WERE SOULMATES. At least they didn’t kill April off I guess???
5. Katniss x Gale (The Hunger Games, books). I am still so god damn mad that this series ended with Katniss marrying Peeta and having his babies and settling down like a little farmer girl (this is apparently a trend in media). Katniss and Gale were best friends and should have ended up together. He understood her. I just… I really hated the second half of Mockingjay. I think the author just stopped getting her own characters?? Gale’s narrative made no fucking sense! It wasn’t who he was! She turned him into this violence, for-the-greater-good asshole just to make it easier for Katniss to end up with Peeta and I’m always gonna be mad about it.
Honorable Mentions:
Clint x Natasha (Marvel Cinematic Universe). Why have Nat wear a fucking arrow necklace? Why throw away that chemistry? Why randomly create and insert a family for Clint?? It makes no sense, Joss Whedon can go fuck a cactus.
Elliot x Olivia (Law and Order: SVU). We could have had it alllllll. And we almost did. At the end of Season 8, I really thought they were gonna do it. They didn’t. I stopped watching.
Mulan x Aurora (Once Upon a Time). STILL MAD ABOUT THIS.
Top 5 Ships That Should NEVER Have Happened
1. Lorelai x Christopher (Gilmore Girls). I literally stopped watching the show because Lorelai slept with Chris at the end of Season 6. I mean, Season 6 was just not written well AT ALL to start with, everyone was super out of character. But for Lorelai to run to Chris when Chris was such a huge sore spot between her and Luke? When her parents had been pushing Chris on her their entire relationship? When she had repeatedly hidden her conversations with Chris from him? When he (rightfully) was worried about her connection to Chris? Like, yes Luke sucked for hiding April and for delaying their wedding indefinitely, but jesus. Cheating on him with your ex and the father of your kid? Fucking low. I still can’t watch Season 7. Some people say she needed to be sure that her and Chris would never work – I say that how deeply she loved Luke should have shown her that.
2. Wynonna x Doc (Wynonna Earp). Ohhhh boy. Look, I would have been cool with them just hooking up a couple times, but the second this shit turned romantic – nah. They are too alike to EVER work as a romantic couple. He literally knew and was likely romantically and sexually involved with her great great grandfather. Doc should have been written as the father figure Wynonna so desperately needed. Barring all that, when she got pregnant, they could have gone the progressive route and been like, alright, we obviously aren’t good as partners but we can definitely coparent this baby since you are obviously in love with Dolls. BUT NO. We have to have a fucking love triangle (oh I’m sorry, a not love triangle that is oddly shaped like a fucking triangle). Ugh.
3. Rose x Finn (Star Wars). Nope, no. Uh-uh. Nopers. No chemistry, no time, no lead up. Rose hero worshipped Finn and came crashing down and suddenly loves him??? After like 2 days??????? Finn who showed no interest in her because he is clearly in love with Rey???? God, fuck this. Fuck The Last Jedi. Give Rose Tico the substance she deserves.
4. Jane x Casey (Rizzoli and Isles). If you’re gonna force Jane to be straight, at least pair her with a decent dude??? I kind of shipped her with the police guy in season 1 (can’t remember his name, Donnie Whalberg played him) because he took her sass in stride and was attracted to all her tomboyish BS. I thought they would have been good if she just HAD TO BE WITH A DUDE. But instead we’re gonna pair her with this manipulative, gross, christian-values-but-only-so-we-can-say-christian-values veteran dude? Who treated Jane like an accessory and not the badass boss detective she was??? Fuck that. It still pisses me off.
5. Rachel x Joey (Friends). Look. I shipped Ross and Rachel when this show aired. I still kind of do even though the ship is so problematic it hurts (their chemistry is insane, y’all.). But for serious? You’re gonna put JOEY and Rachel together?? Really?? I checked out during seasons 9 and 10 because of this. I mean, first of all, how gross for Joey to just go with the whole proposal snafu despite knowing how Ross felt. How fucking selfish. Second of all, Jennifer Aniston and Matt LeBlanc have literally no sexual or romantic chemistry of any kind. It was so forced, it was so awkward, I still can’t watch reruns of this time in the show because it is so painful.
Honorable Mention:
Ted x Robin (How I Met Your Mother). WHAT KIND OF MISOGYNISTIC HETERO BULLSHIT VOMITED ONTO THIS SHOW, I DON’T EVEN GO HERE AND I KNOW THIS IS WRONG. Straight white whiney Nice Guy™ Ted should have ended up alone.
Put “Top 5″ anything in my ask and I’ll answer!

The One With Joey and Rachel
A little louder for the people at the back who do think Rachel and Joey should have ended up together.
I’m watching Friends, currently on Season 9 Episode 23. Fully aware of how the series is going to end. Anyway, the show has portrayed Joey as the type of character who is a comical playboy who sleeps with girls and never calls them back. Although, we do still love him because of his character and the joy he brings to the group. Rachel, on the other hand was a damsel in distress who joined the group right after she ran away from her wedding. Now, ever since then the writers have always put Rachel and Ross together, mainly because of this crush Ross had on Rachel when they were in high school and even until later parts of the season in which they dated, broke up, had a one night stand resulting to the birth of Emma and now this awkward phase in which they are raising a child but aren’t together as a couple.
It is quite clear that the writers really do want Ross and Rachel to end up together. But is that really the right course to go? I believe the best thing that happened in Friends was when Joey had feelings for Rachel and when Rachel had feelings for Joey. You might say I’m a bit biased because I’m rooting for them and well I sort of am. Why wouldn’t I? Through the series it was shown the struggles that Joey had gone through in order to prevent himself from seeing Rachel as more than a friend, how he tried to stop himself and even doing a lot of things to have different thoughts in his head about Rachel but none of them worked, when he talks about it with his friends, it would always be the usual concept about Ross and Rachel. That has always been the obstacle in terms of the romance of Joey and Rachel. Well, Rachel was pregnant at that time with Emma but it Joey had shown willingness to raise Emma alongside Rachel and Ross. He has even expressed his love for Emma after she was born.
Now, let’s go to Rachel’s case. Her feelings for Joey started when she was able to witness the whole Dr.Drake Ramoray having a romantic conversation with one of the characters on Days of Our Lives which Joey personally asked her to accompany him for support. Being able to witness it, it sparked something within Rachel that attracted her to Joey. Which then resulted to her having a dream about wanting to kiss Joey or was it really just an attraction to Dr. Drake Ramoray? It was stated that she was just attracted to the character that Joey brought to Dr.Drake Ramoray but that was later ruled out as she learned that her feelings weren’t for the character but really were towards Joey. What sparked their romance was the rooftop party that Joey had thrown for the Days of Our Lives cast in which Rachel was going to come up to Joey and kiss him however she stopped on her feet as she witnessed Joey making out with Charlie. Ross and Rachel both witnessed the kiss and stopped after seeing both persons that they liked making out with each other.
Joey and Charlie well, I guess we could all say it was very hard to picture the both of them together. They absolutely had nothing in common which resulted into both of them having a mutual agreement to break up. This right here would’ve been the perfect avenue for Joey to get with Rachel and Ross and Charlie as well. This was the most ideal pairing that could occur between the four of them. It was just perfect. It was clear during a speech that Ross was making in which he said the word “homo erectus” which made Joey laugh and resulting for Charlie to look at him and be like ?? and then Rachel laughed and Joey asked her “erectus?” and she said “no, homo.” And both of them laughed together. Joey and Rachel get along better and have much more in common. It absolutely pisses me off how the writers will always push Ross and Rachel towards each other.
Even then when Phoebe found out about her feelings for Rachel she stopped her from doing anything, the same with Monica who asked Rachel not to do anything about her feelings for Joey and isn’t that quite unfair? How Rachel had to stop and not make an attempt on Joey for the sake of Ross again? And Joey who so clearly always has a spot for Rachel in his heart is unable to express her love for Rachel too all because of the thought of Ross?
Ross has always been the common factor that prevented both Joey and Rachel to make a move towards each other because they always had to consider of the feelings of Ross. Couldn’t Ross consider their feelings more? I mean both of his friends liked each other. I get that he had a long crush on Rachel, fell in love with her, dated, broke up, got married on a drunken night and then divorced, had a one night stand with Rachel, had a baby, and now not a couple. It’s quite annoying how Joey if she has feelings for Rachel will always have to run it by Ross and Rachel who has feelings for Joey will always have to think what will Ross think? In the same way this has always been what other members of the group will run by them. Always revolves around Ross.
I truly believe the romance between Joey and Rachel if only the writers had made it happen would have been really great and romantic, we would’ve been able to see a lot more about the characters and how it would bring a lot of other aspects out of them. The face Joey made when she kissed Rachel was absolutely adorable. They are adorable.  We would’ve been able to see a lot more development with their characters and it sure would’ve brought out a side of Joey and a side of Rachel that wasn’t seen before.
Yours truly,
Louis.

a ship you never thought you’d like: Drarry. Just never cared for Draco and I like Harry with book!Ginny. But I can totally see the appeal, as of like a year ago. Partially because of a really well written ficlet I saw on tumblr paired with really beautifully drawn artwork.
a ship you liked but don’t like anymore: Anyone with Sansa besides Petyr (at first I shipped her with Sandor, then Tyrion (never have I ever shipped her with Jon), until in the books Petyr helped Sansa get away from King’s Landing - read the books first, then watched the show, which only made me like them even more)
a ship you think should be canon: PxS. cause I want it to be :P. And they’re so alike and so good together. also @urbanhiking Grant x Sattler totally should have been canon. Still mad about that. Third movie ruined it.
a canon ship you hate dislike: Jaime x Cersei. Ross x Rachel (I hate Ross, I really do. I wish she’d ended up with Joey, or anyone else, honestly).
a ship you’ve been shipping for years: Ron x Hermione. Niles x Daphne (Frasier), Angela x Hodgins (Bones). There’s more but I can’t think of them atm.
a ship everyone loves but you don’t care about: um, I guess Jon Snow with Sansa or Daenerys. Idk if everybody loves those ships but can’t stand the first ship (ship it if you want, just it’s not for me) and the second I just don’t care about.
favorite rare pair: hmm, idk if I’ve ever shipped a rare pair. Been watching a lot of Criminal Minds lately. Would Spencer Reid x Emily Prentiss count? Cause idk, I’d love to see them together. I just love them both. Particularly Reid. I’d love to see Luna Lovegood with someone too. I know she marries Rolfe but I’d like to see her with a character we know more about, you know? The movies putting her with Neville was cute.
