dont think about the funerals
tw: death, funerals
dont think about how it takes longer than everybody would like to have a funeral, not bc of planning but bc the pattersons found out luke died a couple weeks later, bc in all of bobby's pain, he forgot to contact them.
dont think about emily's tears, mitch trying to hold her steady but breaking down.
dont think about reggie's family fighting during the funeral.
dont think about how small the boys must've looked, getting lowered into the ground.
dont think about alex's family making sure to do a closed casket bc they couldnt even bare to look at their gay son even in death or not showing up at all, your choice.
dont think about bobby.
dont think about bobby losing a piece of his soul every funeral he plans.
dont think about bobby sobbing at lukes, sniffling at alex, and by reggie's, he's numb. because he's attended three funerals in a row, and all his tears are gone.
dont think about bobby internally fighting to contact the pattersons, worried if he's betraying luke by doing so.
dont think about bobby trying to call alex's family only to have the line cut/door shut.
dont think about bobby trying to talk to reggie's family but reggie's parents keep fighting until bobby just slips outs.
(alternatively, dont think about bobby going to find reggie's family only to catch reggie's mom storming out with a suitcase and a screaming father left behind)
dont think about alex's family urging to cut off his rainbow bracelet.
dont think about the pattersons holding them back.
dont think about the legacies they leave, that will never grow.
dont think about the fans afterwards forgetting sunset curve.
dont think about sunset curve fading.
dont think about sunset curve being a sunset, setting for the last time.
dont think about the fans trying to keep sunset curve's legacy alive, only to let it fade, to give up.
