Surely it’s not the late night B movie marathons, and certainly not the way he shed tears at the slightest sentimental moments that let you know he cherishes making memories deeply. He held himself at such a distance for so long that his descent was inevitable, it was hard to be a tough guy when one person always managed to wrangle out your hidden affectionate side. But being brave enough to even search for it earned you brownie points, so Sakyo almost felt like he had no choice but to give in lest he create more trouble for himself.

No ones seen him the way you have. Even when he stumbled, or messed up a line, or proved he’s hopelessly awkward when it comes to expressing his feelings, you had never laughed at him. He doesn’t feel deserving of your friendship or admiration let alone your love, not when you had done so much to defend him and more while he simply existed in your world with no clue on how to show you how he felt. He had never understood any of Muku’s romance manga but he was slowly starting to understand what it meant to want to protect someone’s smile.

When a true romantic falls in love an angel gets their wings, as well as there being an extra layer of dedication added into the mix. He’s so specific with courting you right, making handmade crafts or homemade food as presents, wanting to give you everything he could possibly get his hands on. He wanted you to see the best parts of him not realizing that life was not a fairy tale; to truly love a person, you needed to know their flaws as well. Knowing you wanted to love him to the fullest extent possible made his heart stop in his chest, even while he still had plenty of growing to do. He hoped that was an adventure you could make together.

Hardly one to fall for a traditional romance, Banri was stubborn as a mule when it came to giving his heart away. For all the flirting he did with you there was still a carefully crafted gap, a purposeful distance, a man who was shockingly considerate of what a relationship with him might do to a person. He had never felt loyalty so strongly like he did to you, the complicated dance you partook in all the more invigorating for him. Finding someone who could match his rhythm, meet him step for step without faltering, was a partner that Banri couldn’t simply ignore.

It’s almost like he’s unwilling to see what’s right in front of him, but he wasn’t a fool. He’s not afraid of change either but he doesn’t want to partake in a relationship with impossible standards. He can be thoughtful and display his honest feelings, but you had to understand that he’s human above all else. He’s not the charming prince persona he was forced to play countless times in his Godza days; he didn’t always know what to say, and sometimes he might be too blunt, but it didn’t make the love he felt for you any less real.

…kisses mainly to tease and to claim. You‘re reactions to his sudden kisses are just too good to miss out on. Wether it‘s a simple gasp, a squeak, or one of your cute flushed faces; he loves them all. Don‘t pretend to be upset, he‘ll use it against you one way or another. That smug bastard. In addition, he‘s somewhat of a wholesome possessive. He doesn‘t actually get jealous and tries to keep you all to himself in a toxic way. He does, again, as a teasing way. Give him a little smack and watch his playful side crumble with his laugh, leaving a genuine smile on his lips, as he gazes at you as if you were the only light he‘s ever seen.

…kisses with much hesitancy. If it was anyone else in his position, he‘d probably say something like „How much can ya do wrong in a kiss anyways?“, but it is him in his position…Suddenly he wonders if he could hurt you if he puts too much pressure on your lips. As if that would ever be physically possible with how he melts into a puddle during a kiss. He turns completely into mush, mumbling out a little „thanks“ for no other reason than not knowing what else to say.

…kisses with accidental force. Excitement and endless nervousness come together to overload the poor boy. He‘s trying his best to stay leveled, but more often than not you two end up bumping into each other. It‘s not painful or uncomfortable, just enough to notice.

Omi Fushimi…

…kisses you casually, and with a warmth and softness that makes you fall for him once again. This gentle giant is just filled with unconditional love and admiration for you, and it shows in absolutely everything he does for you, kisses are no exception. As much as he‘d love to capture every kiss you share in a photograph, he much rather captures them in his mind and heart instead.

Sakyo Furuichi…

…kisses you in moments of passion and emotion. As a yakuza, he has to follow certain protocol to keep up appearances, safe to say it has molded into his personality over those many years. he cannot believe it at first

how could someone as kind and well-loved as you choose someone as intimidating and reserved as him? he can’t wrap his head around what you could possibly see in him

it takes a lot of words of affirmation to finally convince juza that he is so much more than he thinks

it saddens you that someone as hard-working and deeply involved in the company as juza could still doubt himself. he always says that he wished he could do more for mankai company, but to you he already does more than enough. although it took him some time to perfect his acting, his passion on stage inspires all the other actors to do their very best and mesmerises the audience

whenever he gets too stressed or pushes himself too hard, you offer him pastries and a long, soothing hug. you have him take breaks and go outside so that when he gets back, he feels a little lighter and more energized to resume his work

to thank you for your unwavering support, he invites you on surprise dates or takes you for a ride on his motorcycle. because juza isn’t the best at expressing his emotions, his love language is acts of service and he always makes sure to be available when you also need his help

when it is you who gets too anxious, he will hold you tightly and listen to you vent about the issue at hand. he will try to offer you words of comfort, but his primary course of action is to help solve the problem at the root

he gets more demonstrative over time, holding your hand in the streets or kissing you on the cheek in public. he is really proud of you and your relationship, but his fear of staining your reputation because of his scary looks holds him back from displaying affection more openly

in private, he is the sweetest. juza is self-conscious about his clumsy use of words, so he makes up for it by showing you love through physical touch and sharing his favourite snacks with you

he won’t say it out loud, but juza melts when it’s you who wraps him in your arms or hugs him from behind. being held is something new to him, and it feels so special, almost a sacred moment - before that, most of the physical contact he had with people was blocking punches or trying not to hurt anyone, so someone lovingly and willingly touching him moves him beyond reason. when you run your fingers through his hair and kiss his neck, his deep and raucous sighs speak louder than words

juza is straightforward and honest so he doesn’t shy away from telling you how grateful he is for you - especially when he is drunk. after a couple of drinks, he will look even more serious than usual, save for the tinge of redness blooming on his cheeks, and say the most heart-wrenching things about how you make him a better man and he wants to guard your happiness forever

he comes to you for help whenever he struggles with the interpretation of a line or wants to try out different acting techniques. reading lines together and acting out scenes is one of your favourite activities to do together, so you happily give him a hand with case studies or character analysis. if the scene involves yelling or violence, juza will apologise and make an effort to be extra affectionate with you when you’re done

you wave at him from the front row and offer him flowers after his plays - banri teases him about it, but juza can’t stop smiling and shrugs it off by telling banri that he’s just jealous. juza feels incredibly lucky to have you by his side

kumon adores you and plans family activities that you can join in. because they know juza so well, he and muku can notice the way his face lights up whenever you’re around

omi often asks juza and you to help him with baking because he guessed that juza has a sweet tooth and you find cooking relaxing. juza likes to taste the sugary ingredients just to make sure that they haven’t turned sour and are still good to eat, which always makes omi and you laugh because you can easily see through his excuses

although he is still a little bashful about his voice, you love to hear juza sing. knowing that you appreciate his singing is a huge motivation for juza to overcome his shyness and find the confidence to sing on stage

he is an attentive listener. it makes him happy that you trust him enough to confide in him, but he also enjoys listening to you talk about your hobbies and your current interests. he remembers many details about them and is never against watching something with you or looking up something you’ve been reading online. you do so much for him, so he wants to be equally there for you and

the two of you have a lot of fun together. although juza appears stoic and still has many insecurities to work through, having you by his side never fails to brighten up his days and fill his heart with joy. when you are hanging out, he smiles a lot more and is less apologetic about his behaviour, even cracking jokes from time to time (he feels like it’s awkward, but you find it exceptionally endearing). he hopes that you feel fulfilled, so he always offers you a shoulder to cry on when you’re feeling down or does his best to make you smile. he wants to learn all about your preferences and passions so that he can fully enter your world

most of all, he just wishes for you to be happy and safe. he has never been loved like this before and he wants to do everything in his power to reciprocate your love with as much force and sincerity

✿ you were an aspiring stuntman, to the stress of your parents. but unfortunately someone of your age didn't get a lot of opportunities, least of all in films, so you decided to turn to the world of theatre acting and find work there.

✿ you were 18, on your first year in university though you unsurprisingly weren't particularly focused on your studies. banri was a year younger than you, at 17.

✿ you'd already been scouted for the autumn troupe, as izumi thought that it was the troupe that needed someone for more challenging roles. and when banri came into "audition" and bad mouthed you, he got a fist to the face faster than ever before. you subsequently realized what you did and refused to come out of your room for the next two days.

✿ you and banri were assigned to room together (on sakyo's orders). it did not start out good, as banri kept trying to get you to actually fight him, while you adamantly refused to even speak to him. it wasn't until you had to actually start practicing that you were actually forced to talk.

✿ for banri, it was love at first sight. sort of, anyways. he's always been attracted to people who can beat his ass (even if he didn't particularly pick up on it) but your 'take-no-shit' attitude really hit it home. at first you didn't like banri, and then you just got embarrassed by your behavior. how could you just punch someone, no matter how annoying they are? and then having to room with him... well, you debated locking yourself away in your room for the rest of eternity. away from him.

✿ you were the charismatic leader of the theatre club at your school, but as you were soon set to graduate you wanted to find a more permanent spot to continue acting at. thankfully, you'd recently been informed of the mankai company by a friend of yours.

✿ you were 17, the same age as juza. you'd been into acting since you were way too young to remember, but you'd not seriously started doing it until you were in high school.

✿ it was even prior to the audition, when juza came to your club room to ask you to give him acting lessons. delighted by his "enthusiasm" you gladly said you'd teach him, which turned out to be a bit too big of a promise. but you weren't ready to give up on him, not if he was to become a co-actor of yours.

✿ you had two weeks until audition, and you promised to spend all your free time teaching juza. you'd meet up at your place every few days, and though juza was a hard student to have, you did manage some progress during your two weeks.

✿ juza had admittedly had a huge crush on you for years, as had most of the omega population of the school. but actually meeting you, he couldn't help but grow an even deeper love for you and your passion for acting. juza was admittedly a difficult student in the art of acting, but you could respect his love for the craft. so even if you struggled to keep from screaming whenever he monotonously recited another line, you didn't out of sheer liking for him and his silly ways.

✿ you were a nihon buyo dancer, as your oma had been, and her oma before her. you were actually the first alpha in your family to take on the practice, but as an only child it was to be expected. but you weren't quite satisfied with your craft, and thought that some theatre acting practice could help you improve.

✿ you were 17, and under the tutelage of your oma still. unfortunately for her, you were starting to really hit that phase where you wanted independence. taichi was 16 at the time.

✿ you'd just had another argument with your oma, which led to you storming off. you ended up stewing on a park bench by yourself, where taichi happened to catch sight of you, and being a gentleman raised by two alpha's went over to comfort the distressed omega. you were not happy to discover his assumption later on.

✿ while you were initially not very happy about being approached casually, taichi had the sort of puppy energy that made you forgive him quickly. that, and he listened to you rant for almost an hour and didn't complain, which made him pretty good in your eyes.

✿ taichi just thought that you were a pretty omega, as with his limited world view he'd never even considered an alpha doing an elegant hobby like dancing. probably why he didn't particularly mind your "weirdly" strong personality. to you, taichi came across as a cute little puppy, a little omega with a good heart. so, he was the cutest thing you'd ever seen. though your upset mind didn't really pick up on it instantly, you had already grown a bit of a crush on him.

✿ you were... well, you were the leader of a biker gang. you'd been one for three years already, though you were slowly starting to doubt the lifestyle you'd chosen and were thinking of quitting. but you still needed a small nudge to take that step

✿ you were 20, a year older than omi. you'd been part of your biker gang for six years at that point, and became the leader at 17 after the sudden death of your previous leader.

✿ you were staring at a shelf of cleaning supplies, having an internal crisis in the middle of a grocery store. you didn't really mean to, but you'd been thinking about your life for days now. and a certain photographer was staring at you in turn, wondering what the hell you were doing. he really needed to get to those cleaning supplies. you almost screamed when he finally tapped you on the shoulder.

✿ after almost kick-dropping omi to the floor, you reluctantly apologize and help him with his groceries. omi didn't actually mind (he understood the instinctual reaction) but was grateful anyways, which ended up with him rambling about his life, which made something with you click.

✿ omi didn't take long to realize what kind of life you'd lived (or were still living, he wasn't sure), and he felt rather bad. he'd never want anybody to live the kind of life he had in high school (oh, if only he knew). he was hoping you'd turn out fine. you had never met such a pretty man before, especially not one so kind. for the first time in a long time you felt bad for the instincts instilled in you since your youth, and hearing him talk about his life made you think about exactly how badly your life was going.

✿ you were the child of a yakuza boss, though you weren't particularly interested in your appa's work. instead, you loved acting and dancing, which she didn't particularly agree with but was glad to see you happy. you, on the other hand, didn't care for her opinion on the matter.

✿ you were 6, the same age as sakyo. you were living full-time with your appa, who'd actually inherited the group from your oma who'd died a few years ago.

✿ you were on veludo way with one of your appa's subordinates, who was assigned to babysit you. it didn't take long for you to run away from them though, and end up at a certain theatre company where a group was rehearsing. there, a little stern looking boy caught your attention and you immediately decided that he had to be yours.

✿ after actually talking to sakyo (read as: you talked his ear off while he kept wondering where you appeared from), you kept showing up to the mankai company practices, both to see them and to talk to sakyo, who you were absolutely determined to make your friend.

✿ sakyo was mostly confused by you. you showed up out of nowhere, declared him your new friend, and kept showing up to talk about the magic of acting. at least that last part he could tolerate, but you did initially weird him out, a lot. you weren't really certain what about sakyo made him so interesting to you, you just knew that he was. so even when he was less than enthusiastic about your offers of friendship, you didn't take them particularly seriously. nothing would make you give him up.

✿ you were pretty much a common thug. you'd like to describe yourself otherwise, but you weren't dumb, you knew that you didn't mean much more to the yakuza group you were part of. it was just the lot in life you were born to.

✿ you were 14, while azami was 13. far too young for the life you were living, but having been born into a yakuza family you didn't have much of a choice.

✿ you were really just on a walk, having nothing better to do when you laid eyes on a very lost looking boy who you immediately recognized as a rivalling group's leader's kid. you weren't really sure what to do in a situation like this, but you couldn't let such an opportunity pass you by. so you immediately went up to him, under the guise of wanting to help.

✿ azami was looking for a make-up store, which you rather easily directed him to. you didn't really care for it, but your oma liked experimenting with her make-up. this seemed to get azami comfortable enough to start talking to you, which lead to the topic of his dreams. something about listening to him made you think.

✿ azami didn't actually pay much attention to you at first, really only interested in finding the damn make-up store. but once he actually started talking, and got one look at your amazed face, something in his chest jumped a little. you also didn't really pay much attention to the kid at first, beyond his usefulness to you. but once he started talking... something about his passion for such a mundane thing (to you) was so endearing. you were certain that you just fell in love.

Yandere Team-ups: Banri Settsu & Juza Hyodo

Guard dogs

As you can imagine they both are constantly fighting over their darling but will easily work together on a conflict involving their darling

Both are very overprotective with banri leaning into being controlling while juza is just trying to keep them safe even from the smallest of dangers.  

Technically their darling could use juza to avoid punishment or at least make things a bit more manageable.

Of course, banri hates this, making them fight over how to hold their darling once they are in their care.

Barni tends to be stricter and a bit harsher towards their darling while juza is softer and a bit more lenient. However, their darling should keep in mind that barni isn't cruel and juza is not a pushover they just handle things differently.  

Even though they fight a lot they do complement each other by having what the other may lack.

He’s the one that's physically the closest to you the entire time, at certain points you two can hardly even move, you’re just kinda holding each other while music quietly plays in the background

The spring troupe had just finished a run with a local college theatre group, while it was their off season, they all loved the script they were given to work with and Citron had an incredible amount of fun playing the role of a young professor. He absolutely adored the big warm coat that was part of the costume and Yuki practically had to pull it off him at the end of practices. Except for today. Somehow, some way he was able to evade Yuki’s inordinately good tracking skills and was holed up in his room showing you how warm and cozy and swishy the coat was! After twirling in it, Citron gasped as if an entire sun spider was crawling up the door behind you. Before you had a second to see what the hell prompted such a reaction, your boyfriend practically tackled you, to your great confusion.

“Darling, oh I know you’d look so cute in this, please please please put it on??”

Oh. oh no. Citron was doing the one thing you couldn't resist. Puppy dog eyes. Damn him and his cute face.

With only a slightly exasperated sigh, you respond with “ok ok, but only for a minute!! If Yuki finds me and tries to induct me into his society of sewing servants as payback for keeping the coat out of the costume room you have to come to my rescue! Promise?”

“I swear!!!”, ever the dramatic dweeb, your dashing prince kneels down, holding your hand, bringing to mind how he swore his loyalty to you when you first started dating.

With such sweet [and mildly embarrassing thoughts] occupying your mind, you hardly notice how Citron jumps up and draws the coat over your shoulders, cooing at how precious you looked!

this sweet little punk can be so smooth and fluctuate back to his goofball self in less than 0.0005 seconds it’s almost scary

(don’t let izumi find out or she’ll definitely try and get him into one of the troupes)

You two were watching a movie together and there was a really cinematic scene where two of the side characters just spent a few minutes dancing together. It didn’t really contribute to the main plot, and neither of the characters had much screen time besides that one scene, but something about it was so real, and so sweet that sakoda was practically melting over it.

Whenever you watch movies with him that he’s already seen he tends to watch your face to see how you react to his favorite moments and oh…,,oh his poor little heart,.,.

The soft, cool light of the small television in his apartment lit up your face in the prettiest way. It’s honestly not a thought Juza has ever had. Even after you began dating he hadn’t thought about the intimate part of your relationship yet, overwhelmed already by the part where you could hold hands without it being awkward. Even after he doesn’t have a strong opinion regarding it, leaving it up to you; he tended to let you lead the way in the relationship, wary of making a wrong move that might have you breaking it off with him.

23.  ♥ Do they apologize to their partner even if it wasn’t their fault?

Juza can sometimes be stubborn enough to not immediately apologize when something isn’t his fault, while other times he’s stunned into silence and unable to think of the words to use in response to the argument. Arguing with you was surely at the top of his list of things that shook him to his core and he hated doing it, sometimes wishing you could both just move on without having to bring it up again. You’re always stronger for it and Juza does eventually realize that one little mistake isn’t going to cause you to break up with him, so he gained his own voice when he wanted to make his thoughts known.

Juza's debut performance is not new to you. You've seen it a handful of times already but for some reason, you just don't seem to grow tired of it.

• A/n: I MEANT IT WHEN I SAID I WANT TO WRITE FOR A!3. This might be inaccurate with the game's plot though because I haven't played it yet bUT I'M PLANNING TO BECAUSE I'M GETTING SICK WITH GENSHIN I WANT TO PLAY ANOTHER GAME.

You chuckled so loud Juza had to pause the video.

"Really?" Juza muttered as he stared at you chortling on his bed.

The both of you are lying on your stomachs, your faces facing his laptop where 'The Roman Episode' plays, specifically pausing at the exact moment where Juza was spilled on the floor after Banri's realistic punch.

Seconds have passed since Juza paused the video from playing and yet, you still have not recover. Your hands are cupping your mouth, a futile attempt of concealing your laughter. Your shoulders shaking along with your head that seemed to be flushed with heat.

Not to mention, sniffing can be heard along with your chuckles as beads of tears form at the corner of your eyes with overflowing joy.

"I'm sorry," you managed to say despite your peals of laughter, "It's... It's just...you take pride with saying that you're stronger than Banri and yet..." You snorted.

Juza's cheeks flushed by how you're laughing at him. Not wanting to feel embarrassed more, he attempted on stripping his self off from his bed. Only to be stopped as you pulled him back. Take note, still laughing.

"No, don't go! I'm sorry, I'll stop laughing," and yet you say this as you choke at your own laughter.

Juza tried to appear unimpressed by rolling his eyes. But truth to be told, he's torn. Whether he lets you mock him further just so he could hear your laugh or he kisses you because you're painfully beautiful at the moment.

"If I punched him back, I'd break my character. I'm supposed to receive his punch, you know?"

"Which makes it funny!" You reasoned as you rested your head on his arms, growing tired from laughing. Your hand slowly crawled its way towards his laptop, pressing a key to make the video move again.

"How is getting punched funny..." He muttered under his breath before resting his chin on his clasped hands, eyes unfocused on the screen. Rather, he was focused on you.

He feels your legs playfully interlocking with his, tickling his soles at the same time.

In the middle of bathing at your face, Juza is taken aback when you look at his way. He is thankful with the absence of light and the strands of his purple hair hiding his fuming cheeks.

Your noses are inches apart and so are your lips. Juza wouldn't hesitate to cut this distance short if only you did not speak.

"I'm sorry, can we replay that scene again?"

Juza frowned, "Again?"

And you break into laughter once more as your fingers run on the pad of his laptop, lips pressed in the hopes that it would tone your chuckle down.

"You love it when I get beaten, huh?" He said dramatically.

You turned to him, the cheeky smile still on your face, "I'm sorry, it never gets old."

because i spent the last few days watching all the juza content i could find and this boy makes my heart melt (*꒦ິ꒳꒦ີ)

at first, it is his dedication to acting that drew you to him - you admired his commitment and passion both on stage and behind the scenes

you would bring him something sweet to snack on whenever you noticed that he stayed up late learning his lines and he would help you out with chores in return

you are surprised and touched by juza’s thoughtful gestures because you didn’t know him well until then

juza’s caring nature and love for the troupe shines too brightly for you not to see that behind his impassive glare hid a kind heart that just couldn’t properly articulate its true feelings

juza is deeply grateful that you don’t judge him for his appearance and he feels like he can fully be himself around you. eventually you don’t even notice his glaring anymore because you know how kind juza actually is

you help him with his insecurities and always encourage him whenever he gets too stressed out or doubts his abilities. sometimes you read lines together and he comes to you for advice

to thank you for your continuous support, he invites you to sweets shops and surprises with you pastries

when juza realises that he is falling in love with you (what is this warmth in his stomach? why is his heart thumping much louder when you say his name?), he goes into a quiet state of panic. most of all he is afraid that his feelings for you will ruin what you had and that you wouldn’t want to hang out with him after that

poor clueless juza doesn’t even notice how your cheeks flush whenever he expresses his gratitude for you or your arms accidentally brush

the way you are so unapologetically yourself, kind and funny and enthusiastic about the world, makes him fall for you harder day after day

the idea that you could love him back doesn’t even cross his mind - he knows how hard he is to get along with because of his appearance, and though you are always kind to him, he thinks that you would’ve done the same for anyone and he is just another friend of yours

you end up implicitly confessing your feelings for juza to omi, who easily read between the lines. little did you know that juza also went to him for advice because he felt too distressed and clueless

now, omi has to work his magic to get the two of you to talk it out together. he asks both of you for help with baking and disappears to search for a mysterious ingredient, leaving the two of you alone

the confession scene is a bashful mess. omi may have hinted at each of you how the other felt, juza still doesn’t fully believe that you could like him back. he doesn’t want to pressure you into anything so he just hopelessly struggles to find the right words

eventually, you take the matter into your own hands. you confess to him first, but juza is so overwhelmed that he responds much quicker than usual. when omi returns, the tips of your ears are burning and juza is actively avoiding eye contact with him. that’s a win, omi smiles to himself and gives you a thumbs up

after that, juza doesn’t know how to act. omi gives you generous slices from the strawberry roll cake that you just baked and exits the kitchen to treat the rest of the company. you find yourselves alone in the kitchen again, having just barely recovered from the confession

juza is wondering whether he should kiss you or reach out for your hand or just act like he always did around you, as though nothing important had happened

the strawberry roll cake is delicious though, so you draw juza’s attention to that before making a move. as you eat, some of the timidity and tension dissipates and you manage to make small talk like you always did, happily discussing the softness of the texture and the sweetness of the cream

then, when you rise up to clean your plates, your hand brushes juza’s arm, hesitating slightly, asking him for permission with your touch, and he moves closer to you, carefully replicating your gesture as his cheeks prickle with warmth. your fingers cling onto the sleeve of his jacket more firmly then, and your lips meet in the middle, him gently leaning into you

juza tastes of sugar and strawberries. and to him, you are sweeter than any pastry he loves

when you pull away, juza doesn’t break eye contact, looking at you intently, and you take his calloused hand in yours. “i love you,” you say boldly, squeezing his hand. you feel braver now, ready to fight to make this love work. you wish to give juza all the affection he deserves and the world had denied him for so long

“i love you too, y/n.” his golden eyes are still firmly set on you, not letting go. a pang of anguish revives the fear that this could only be a dream, that the comforting pressure of your hand on his could vanish and he would drive you away, but he decides that he won’t back down. just like with acting, he will give this his all. it is him who kisses you then

“Coming!” You called, going to answer the door to your place as you prayed to whatever merciful god was out there that it wasn’t someone suspicious or out to get you.

Thankfully, it was neither, as you were greeted by an adorably jittery Juza, fiddling with a small present he held in his hands. You beamed, excited that he would surprise you like this.

“Oh, Juju, what’s up?” You greeted cheerfully.

“…Wanted to give you this,” he admitted, his voice low as he held out the gift.

Why was he so embarrassed? You wondered. What was in that box that could possibly make him this nervous?

You giggled at his bashfulness, taking the gift, noting its intricate wrapping, right down to the clearly handmade ribbon.

“Thanks! Actually, I just finished wrapping up yours, so do you wanna come inside?” You offered.

“‘S fine, I can wait.”

“In the cold?”

“Yeah.”

“I don’t think so. Come on,” you pushed, taking his wrist to drag him inside, safe from the freezing cold.

Juza stiffened slightly under your grip, but complied nonetheless, dipping his head in a silent thanks. You reached up to give his head a quick pat before rushing off to grab the gift.

You quickly returned, presenting it to him. He nodded in a silent thanks, taking it gingerly.

“Should we open ‘em now?” You asked.

“Yeah. Sounds good,” he replied.

“Okay. You ready?”

He nodded. On your count, the two of you tore into your presents, not expecting what you would find.

“They’re…” you started.

“The same,” he finished.

Sure enough, the boxes you each held in your hands held expensive-looking chocolates from a gourmet shop down the road. You looked to each other, puzzled, before you burst into laughter, with Juza cracking a small smile. You glanced over the box, only to notice a single difference on your box.

“Hey, why’s mine opened a little?” You wondered.

Juza’s smile fell as he stiffened once more.

“I- uh. Was curious. Ate a few of ‘em,” he murmured shamefully.

You blinked a few times, only to let a smile slip at his expression. He looked like a kicked puppy, even if he hadn’t really done anything wrong. You reached to pat his head again, attempting to ruffle his hair under the copious amounts of gel.

“Hey, it’s not an issue!” You exclaimed, attempting to reassure him. “In fact, I can still have the ones you ate! If you’ll let me have some of your gift,” you added with a mischievous smirk.

He glanced to you, eyes shining with a glimmer of hope.

“You mean it?”

“Yeah! Heck, we can just share since we got the same thing, right? It’s no big deal!”

Juza nodded, a smile finally beginning to tug at the corners of his lips. You pulled him to the couch, setting the two boxes on the coffee table, taking the cellophane wrapping off of his and lifting the lid off of yours.

“Let’s try it all together, yeah?” You suggested.

It has been a very tough day and it did not help that your twin brother was being a jerk. “Leave me alone, Banri.” You said while walking around the lively dorms of Mankai. Passing by a few members who were either doing something else or watched you and your brother with an amused smile or a deadpan face. You were looking for your boyfriend, your savior when your brother is busy bullying you. Banri followed in suit, laughing at you, “Just for today, can you please shut up.” You pleaded, tired of his antics for the day. “Hey, you did this to yourself.” He teased, reaching your brother and boyfriend’s shared dorm. “Uhh—Yes?” Juza awkwardly asked as you wrap your arms around him and buried your face at his back. “Jerk brother. Punch him.” Your muffled voice said. He looked at you and towards Banri’s direction, “wth happened?” was written all over his face as he looked at the both of you, back and forth. “You know, I was minding my own business when that stupid guy over there started bullying me.” You pouted as you pointed at your brother. Your boyfriend on the other hand was really confused as he patted your head, and the other hand wrapped around your waist. He was actually hesitant to punch your brother, he was very clueless if you were joking or not but before you could speak some more, “Bleghh! You guys are grossing me out, go get a room.” Banri complained, “We are in a room, you dimwit!” You retorted back at him. “Tsk. Whatever, Im outta here.” Your brother said before marching off to Itaru’s room. “Gonna tell me what’s wrong?” He asked, a soft look on his face. Leading him to the bed and clinging onto him. You told him about the hectic week and how you are so glad that you can finally take a breather. “I’m not sure what I’m suppose to do but….you did well.” He sincerely said with a soft smile on his face while patting your head again. “Thanks!” You answered giving him a peck on the cheek. A light blush immediately crawled on his cheek. Making use of the moment, you snapped a picture of him with your phone. A snap! and your giggles was all, what Juza only needed to hear to know that you were back to your energetic self. “You need to stop doing that, s’not funny.” He told you. Climbing to sit on his lap, you said, “Im sorryy, but you were so cuteeee, don’t worry Im gonna hide that photo of yours from my brother, so he won’t make fun of you….. soo, how aboutt, I make it up to you by going to the bakery with you later. It just opened the other day. That sound good?” while poking his cheeks with a pout on your face. Honestly, how can he say no to that face?
