Hugh O’Conner can’t do music. He’s probably not legally allowed near a piano.

Sebastian Debeste, however, can do music. He makes a point of letting people know he can do music. His conductor’s baton (where did he get that, anyway) is as trademark to him as his confidence (bordering on arrogance) and the way he wears his hair. Hugh is pretty sure he’s in the practice room for all of his free time.

This would be an inspiration to Hugh if it wasn’t so discouraging. Sebastian was driven. He regularly put in the effort to stay after school or skip lunch to practice, and it paid off, because Sebastian was amazing at music. Hugh could barely commit to passing his classes, much less acing them with time to spare.

A HughDebeste concept because it's so adorable and deserves more love-

So Sebastian still misuses words when he is 26 and he actually starts forgetting words he needs like "Phone", "Keys" or "Coat" and he tries to make up new words as he tries to find the words he needs and Hugh knows what the word Sebastian looking for is but doesn't say it because he thinks it's adorable and hilarious to see his boyfriend make up new words.

Here's an example:

So they are gonna go out, they have been hanging at Hugh's office since neither of them have a case to solve, and as they get all their stuff ready, wear their coats, scarves and hats because it's cold outside and take back bags with them that have essential items such as bottles of water, tissues, cologne, hand sanitizer/sanitiser, etc. do here it is;

Hugh: "I heard there is a café that just opened."

Sebastian: "How far is it from here?"

Hugh: "It's a couple streets away, we can walk there."

Sebastian: "Let's go! I will be the first to reach it because I'm 'Debeste'!"

Hugh: "I'm sure you mean 'The Best'..."

Sebastian: "That's what I said!"

Hugh: "Very well then. Let's get dressed up and go."

When they are almost ready to go, Sebastian asks:

"Where is my big shirt thing?"

Hugh, being visibly confused:

"Your what.?"

Sebastian:

"My big shirt that covers me up! The thing that keeps you warm!"

Hugh realised/realized what it is but didn't tell Sebastian, instead he asked:

"What is it?"

Sebastian: "You know what it is!"

Hugh: "I don't know what it is."

Sebastian: "The... I- um- what was it called again...."

Hugh laughed and said:

"It starts with a c."

Sebastian: "COAT! Where is my coat?"

I know you don’t know about danganronpa,but I feel like some of my favorite ships are pretty underrated,so I’ll have to say sodham,but for a fandom you’re more familiar with,hughdebeste.

Heh, you got me- in my mind sodham just sounds like the kind of thing that would make Stink and Stonk debate about how words work again.

HughDebeste though? I haven't even considered it before but I already love it- they just have so much in common! Plus, defense x prosecution, that's practically aa shipping 101. I can see it now - Hugh passes the bar, embarrasses one of the Paynes for his first case (as you do), and then flirts with Sebastian for the rest of the game. The spin-off practically writes itself, that's how you know it's good!
