She not only worked at the White House, and created her own form, but she put presidents in office. She doesn’t just fix problems, she fixes people.
She seems to have been mentored by both Cyrus and Verna which after her vast education, molded her into who she is today.
Throughout the seasons we see Olivia go through hell in back not only for her clients, those she loves, but also for herself. She will do whatever is necessary and her gut is never wrong so with those two pieces together she dominates Washington D.C.
Through the seasons we do see Olivia I’m relationships, even though she says in season one she can never have normal.. the other major factor being “All Roads Lead Back To Fitz”
Edison Davis: off screen the two have a past relationship where they lived together in Georgetown and Edison even proposed. However it ended, and years later they begin to reconnect- but Olivia can’t open up to him, especially not about the past relationship she had that’s haunting her (Aka Fitz). Even with Olivia being an emotional stonewall Edison proposes again, and Olivia says No. this second proposal shows Olivia that she wants a difficult, painful love rather than an easy and normal one.
Fitz Grant: Fitz needed help with his election campaign while on the trail and Cyrus having met Olivia at law school, knew just the person to bring in. They very quickly and easily developed feelings for each other, and as much as they wanted to be together Olivia knew that an affair would be political suicide for Fitz. He was persistent though, and after being elected he told her that he loved her. Even after Olivia left the White House due to Mellie knowing about her and Fitz, there love ans tension never stopped. They didn’t become official and public until much later after Fitz divorced Mellie. However things weren’t perfect, when Fitz proposed she at first said no - then yes. Then later she gave back the ring. Fitz did however forgive Olivia and move her into the White House, however once again not so long after this - Olivia feels trapped and like she doesn’t want the life she’s living. So she leaves Fitz and the White House. From there the relationship went back to being an off again on again thing for awhile. When Fitz moves back to D.C. to help Olivia after his presidency is over, and she has left the White House which is now in the hands of Millie. It’s left open as to if they get back together officially or what happens. But in my mind they do in fact get back together and though there life would never be “normal”, Olivia learns that the difficult and painful romance she thought she deserved was also a soft and sweet - safe place.
Jake Ballard: The two met a few months after the death of Verna and the sparks ignited fast. From there it was an on and off again thing. The relationship is complicated in many ways in true Olivia fashion but a major one being that Olivia is often seen going back and forth between Jake and Fitz. Jake is shown to know Olivia more than she knows herself, to know her darkness and not shy away. She is very open and vulnerable with him. Once Fitz has been re-elected Jake and Olivia go to an island for two months and come back boyfriend and girlfriend and stay that way until something catastrophic happens in Olivia’s life. When it’s over she doesn’t want to see him or Fitz as she tries to think of them as her past while she tried to move forward. Awhile later Jake tells her about how he’s in love with her but that if she loves Fitz, she should be with him. She does just that but after her breakup, her and Jake rekindle, though everything seems to be just physical until Jake gets engaged. However the engagement is just a cover and he tells Olivia as much. Jake asks if Olivia wants to be with him, and she nods and kisses him. However Olivia receives a threat that Jake must marry Vanessa or he would be killed.
Throughout the show there were a few other small romances but overall those above were the big three.
Trivia
- She paces circles when she is troubled by something that she considers a real problem, they become perfect circles if she is really worried
- In highschool she was on the swim team
- She has one rule for all clients: “Do not lie. They lie, all bets are off.”
- She knows 18 languages, including Spanish, Farsi, Russian, Swahili, Cantonese, and Urdu
- The character of Olivia Pope is inspired by the real life crisis management consultant: Judy Smith
- The final scene in the Final shows a portrait of Olivia Pope in the second floor of the National Portrait Gallery which is only reserved for portraits of presidents of the United States of America. This leads us to believe that sometime after Mellie, Olivia became president.
everytime i rewatch scandal im like oh olivia...pope & associates is cute. but olivia girl...you are a BIG DOG. surrounded by puppies! get yo ass in the white house where the rest of the big dogs are!

Adrenaline rushed through your veins. The feeling of your stomach fluttering as you kept gaining momentum from the fall nearly made you scream, but the air prevented you from doing so. Your eyes looked to Atsushi when the wind wasn’t irritating them, his gaze fixed on the city that you were steadily getting closer to.
Your body froze in the air, and you realized Atsushi noticed the missile-like object that had flown by your head. Shit, you thought. Twain’s ability with Tom and Huck. You would be lucky if you weren’t shot out from the sky. You decided then that until you got closer to land, keeping your wings tucked in was the best course of action in living another day.
You didn’t warn Atsushi in enough time once he opened his parachute, crying out for him when he was stunned by the next shot that was aimed at him. The air cannon cut away his own chance of surviving the fall, the one thing Lucy gave up helping him. The parachute flew away gracefully, leaving Atsushi unconscious and plummeting head-first towards Yokohama.
You rushed to grab him, desperately reaching for one of his legs to help stop him from dying on impact. You grimaced as you managed the task, but gravity was working against you. With your wings outstretched and batting the air in distress, it was no use trying to pull Atsushi to safety, and now you were plunging to your death just as fast as he was.
“Atsushi, wake up! We’re going down too fast!” You wouldn’t accept your fate yet. Your eyes were on Atsushi, gritting your teeth as you found the courage to keep trying to save him. The wings on your back were tiring from how fast you were flapping them, and the adrenaline from earlier turned into panic.
This was it. You were going to die.
You braced yourself for the fast and painless end; with the grim reaper introducing himself and leading you to the afterlife. Instead, it never came. A mixture of confusion and relief washed over you once you realized you weren’t dead, but alive. You were very much alive as you glanced over yourself and your surroundings. One moment you could’ve sworn you were on a tiger’s back, but the next you rolled onto the ground as Atsushi stood from kneeling.
“You— You saved me,” you said breathlessly once Atsushi helped you up, all the oxygen from your lungs feeling like it escaped while diving to the street you were on. “Thank you.”
You were interrupted by a spine-chilling giggle, your head turning towards the doll that Lucy had given Atsushi. That’s right. Atsushi needed to find someone to give that thing to in the hopes of stopping everything.
You both started towards the doll, but not before being greeted with a litter of bullets halting you from grabbing it. You let your ability fall to reveal your natural state, but you were given no time to think about defense. It was time to run. Atsushi managed to grab the toy before making his escape. You weren’t far behind, but your eyes were stuck to him as he used his ability to run on the sides of buildings. His strength amazed you, his legs powerful enough to sprint and jump with ease. You had to be more careful. Unlike Atsushi, you were vulnerable on the ground. Twain’s perfect aim was not to be underestimated.
Atsushi eventually rejoined you on the ground. You both dashed to turn a corner only to pause at the chaos in front of you. Fires were raging, people were mulling around on the street as if looking for their next prey, and your eyes quickly glanced away at the sight of the couple of lifeless bodies you could see. You heard Hawthorne’s voice in your head comparing it to the apocalypse in reference to Revelations as if he were there with you.
Your shock was broken by more bullets behind you. Atsushi guided you to follow him as you ran to avoid being shot. He appeared distracted by something, and it was only by your gasp that he finally looked ahead and came to a halt with you.
“That’s an oil truck—!”
One bullet piercing the container sent a wave of heat across your entire body, and the blast was powerful enough to knock you off your feet and send your body rolling on the ground. The only reason you weren’t crying out from the pain was your body protecting you in survival mode. Your eyes slid over to Atsushi who looked just as beaten as you. He wasn’t getting up right away, but you felt a small wave of relief when his arm finally moved. It was reached out towards the doll he still was determined to protect.
You forced yourself to sit up to help him, noticing the blood running down from his forehead. His dedication to protecting and saving everyone was admirable, and you wanted to match it whether your body was screaming at you to give up and rest or not.
Footsteps. You heard footsteps approaching. Your eyes were on a figure approaching you both from the dense smoke caused by the explosion. You expected the worst. Did Fitzgerald come down to fetch you himself? Was it someone else from the Guild that would finally put an end to your efforts?
Your body was paralyzed as the man revealed himself, but it was no one that you recognized. The first item that was brought to your attention was his right arm in a sling, and then your eyes met brown ones. His shaggy coffee-colored hair framed his face in a way that was alluring, and there was no doubt in your mind that he broke hearts often. His clothes matched him, the tan trench coat he adorned partnered with a brown vest on top of a button-down work shirt. The slacks that were on his long legs were a lighter tan than his coat. His frame was lean, but you knew better than to base your thoughts on that alone.
Your gaze broke from his as he kneeled to take the doll into his grasp, and your eyes were stuck to him as he activated his ability. The doll was surrounded by a blue light before disappearing altogether, and Atsushi’s next words confirmed who you thought it was.
“Dazai.”
Atsushi’s warning to Dazai about the bullets raining from above became faint, and before you knew it your body had finally forsaken you. Your eyes fought to stay focused on them, and your upper body went slack, hitting the ground underneath you in the process. Despite your horrible circumstances, you had never felt so free being unconscious.
Fun BSD French translation details and choices - Episode 20
(by someone who does not understand Japanese but thinks the differences with the English translation/subtitles are fun)
General notes:
Twain's ability is called Huck Finn et Tom Sowyer... which is literally just "Huck Finn and Tom Sawyer", except that for some reason, they speller "Sawyer" with an O instead of an A, probably because of the way it's pronounced in French.
The dub fumbled the Book's lore so bad. Here's what Fitzgerald says to Atsushi:
"Un livre qui n'existe qu'en un seul exemplaire. Ce livre rend invincible, que ce soit face aux flammes ou aux superpouvoirs. [...] Le titre de ce livre est Le Scarabé-tigre, et tu en es en quelque sorte la colonne vertébrale."
which means:
"A book that only has one copy. This book makes you invincible, whether against flames or superpowers (abilities). [...] The title of this book is The Tiger-Beetle, and you are sort of its backbone."
... I can't help but feel bad for the poor translator who probably struggled a lot with that explanation before giving up...
Eng subs: There's only a single copy in the world. It's said to be impervious to any degree of firepower or special abilities. [...] You're literally the tiger beetle... The guide post.

I think about this crack au too often. Anyway, sorry it took me so long to type this up!!!
Not gonna lie making a comic with this concept would heal me in a way.
So our clans are Dayclan (Special Division), Nightclan (Port Mafia), Duskclan (Ada) and Dawnclan (Guild but also a few Doa members). Instead of living in the forest or around a lake, these clans live on the edge of a port town.
The Order of the Clock Tower are basically going to be Bloodclan btw, the Hunting dogs minus Tachihara are the Pack.
Obviously, Tiger later known as Tigermoon (Atsushi) is our protagonist. He's a former kittypet, that lived in a orphanage, fed and taken care of by the children. The old caretaker died and was replaced by a cruel man. Tiger was protective of the children and tried to defend them, the cruel man hurt him badly and locked him in the basement. He barely survived, and nearly starved he escaped out a broken window.
He was eventually found by an eccentric cat who called himself a warrior of Duskclan. Things Tiger only knew of as fables.
The following events are more or less a fusion of warriors and bsd.
Any connection has been lost to Starclan (basically replacing the Book), and the Clans are desperate to fix this. There was a prophecy of a great mythical tiger being the guardian of the path back to the stars, so of course the appearance of Tiger(moon) threw the clans into desperation.
Individual characters have their own backstories and stuff, too much stuff for one post, I will answer any questions.
I'm going to break down the clans a little:
Dayclan: Considered the most elusive and secretive of the clans, a part of their territory overlaps with open farmland.
Duskclan: Considered the cleverest and best hunters, their territory runs alongside a river in a well wooded area.
Nightclan: Considered the strongest and most ruthless warriors of the clans, their territory lies in a heavily forested area between the ocean and the town.
Dawnclan: Considered the boldest and most reckless of the clans, their territory straddles the port/warehouse district and a small wooded area.
Character names and clan alignment below.
I put a lot of thought into the names they all contain obscure references and metaphors.
*There are several bsd background characters I didn't include that are simply not super important for the current plot I have forming in my head, if you want me to give them a warrior cat name and affiliation just tell me.*

Birthdate: October 31st, 1972

Physical Appearance
Hair: Dark brown
Eyes: Blue
Height: 1.60cm (5 ft 3½)
Weight: 53kg
Skin Tone: Fair
Faceclaim: India Eisley
Background
Home: Raven Hall, a modest (by rich people standards) property owned by the Black family in rural England
Family
Mother: Cressida Black, née Rowle
Cressida is a Slytherin alumni. She works at the Wizengamot and leads a seemingly successful life. On the inside, she's struggling though. She's not happy with her life and her unhappiness is affecting her relationship with her daughter. She loves Callie but is misguided in her efforts to make her choices for her and attempt to keep her in line.
Father: Castor Black, the younger brother of Orion Black
Castor attended Hogwarts as a Slytherin. He's unlike most of his family members in that he is softer and less likely to spout blood-purist rhetoric. However, he is not close with his daughter and his marriage to Cressida is facing some difficulties. He has constantly lived in the shadow of his older brother and doesn't know how to stand up to him.
Callie is the quiet sort who prefers the company of books to people. She doesn't go out of her way to make friends and can often seem cold or even rude to people who don't know her, but she's quite friendly once you manage to break through her surface. Deep down, she feels very alone due to her parents being distant and being an only child. She struggles with creating meaningful connections but craves them deeply.
She responds best to speaking of common interests, like books or music. She's a little bit clueless about the Muggle world and finds learning about Muggle culture fascinating. Callie is creative and sometimes scribbles poetry in the margins of her essays or in little notebooks. She doesn't have ambitions to become a poet as a fulltime job, though.
Strengths: Clever, works well under pressure, loyal to loved ones
Weaknesses: A bit of a loner, a penchant for melancholy, can come off as rude
Stressed: When dealing with her family or studying for exams
Calm/Comforted: With her friends and in the library
Favorites
Colors: Black
Weather: Rain
Hobbies: Reading, writing poetry, Wizard chess
Fashion: Business casual, blacks and grays, some grunge vibes
Relationships
Significant Other/Love Interest: Talbott Winger
Callie and Talbott have been house mates since year one, but they only really started to speak during year 4, when Callie got her pet owl Orpheus and started to spend time in the Owlery. They both enjoy a comfortable silence and the quiet comfort of each others' company.
The two started dating during year 6. They were together until graduation, after which they broke up for a while but reconnected during the Second Wizarding War. They married and have one daughter together.

She has an owl called Orpheus
She has fond memories of her cousins Sirius and Regulus
i want to ramble about ship Things from my BSD next gen canon-divergent universe, bungou stray pups-verse, but i can't decide what to ship ramble about first without being entirely predictable so i'm letting you guys choose!
send me an ask with one or more ships from the list below, OR with one or more numbers 1 - 34 (if you wanna be random about it) and i'll answer it with a handful of bullet points of trivia about them and the family they end up having! if a ship gets sent more than once, that's fine, i'll just use different trivia points each time (trust me there's a lot lmao)
Atsushi Nakajima/Ryuunosuke Akutagawa (Beast Beneath the Moonlight & Rashoumon)
Doppo Kunikida/Katai Tayama (The Matchless Poet & Futon)
Chuuya Nakahara/Osamu Dazai (Upon the Tainted Sorrow & No Longer Human)

hello im slowly getting back into the guild and i want to like just word vomit these real quick hdsgjh
these might not all be accurate cause i might just forget some of the characteristics they got so. oops.
- i think all of the rich people know how to read. i feel like thats a given. so both fitzgerald and margaret know how to read and are pretty well read.
- fitzgerald is also a persuasive speaker. hes a buisness man so it would make sense that hes a good speaker as well. margaret isnt. i just think she never needed to, so she doesnt have that skill honed yet.
- hawthorne also knows how to read. hes gotta if he wants to read the bible. i think he would teach children to read as well as a community service act if that makes sense. i also think he is a good public speaker as well! the perks of being a preacher. anyway. both knows how to read and well read.
- melville knows how to read, but i dont think he is well read. he learned the basics and never thought to look more into it. hes a sailor i dont think he had the time. and he doesnt speak so i dont think he has much public speaking skills
- louisa and poe know how to read also and are pretty well read. its a given. they dont have any public speaking skills though, stage fright and anxiety moment.
- twain, surprisingly, is well read and literate. i was gonna make him illiterate but then i remembered hes literally writing a diary and i was like “oh yeah wait.” but i think its a surprise to everyone when they find out that he knows what words mean LMAO
- “does he know?? does he know what that means????” (yes he does. only about 50%)
- im sure hes used his literacy to his advantage when picking up ladies (i am a firm believer that he is a fuckboy/charmer/casanova you will pry that from my cold dead hands.) hes just very charming and i think you’ll either love him or hate him when you first meet him. he knows his way around a conversation and can change the course of it to his advantage very easily. its his CharmTM
- he taught tom and huck how to read and its his worst mistake ever. (their handwriting is horrible. the pencil is as big as them. they can barely hold it)
- anyway. can you tell whos my favourite.
- lucy does know how to read but i also dont think she is well read. she read in the orphanage and was taught a little more in the guild but she just doesnt strike me as the reading type. if that makes sense. she does, however, have public speaking skills. its just her aura, she knows how to command a room. what a gal.
- steinbeck barely knows how to read. i think he would work on the family farm and that would take up most of his time so he just never learned or wasn’t taught very much. he cant do public speaking that well either. hes good with one on one but i think he cracks when its a fairly decent crowd. i dunno i just think hes a loner by accident (he hates loneliness but it just seems to follow him around.)
- lovecraft does not know how to read. when asked how he learned to speak he said “by observing people.” he is a creature of the depths why would he ever need to know what words mean? thats not what creatures do. he doesnt care to learn; probably just figures it out himself.
anyway. thank you for reading my absolute word vomit.
