Pony Updates lol

I've slowed down a lot when it comes to my pony collection, but recently took a detour from my dolls to get a couple new ones! Love Petal was one of my grails and one of the more expensive ponies I needed to complete my Sugarberry Army, but I finally found one in excellent condition for a somewhat-low price!!

I'm only missing...I think twelve Sugarberry Pose ponies now (ironically including Sugarberry herself lol), not including the Sippin Soda Ponies because I hate that gimmick lol (and Taffy because I am not paying all that for such a boring pony when Mummy Meadowsweet exists) The day HQG1C or Basic Fun start making Sugarberry pose repros is the day I go absolutely insane, I love this pose so much lol (and for anyone wondering why my ponies seem to be floating in mid-air, they're all standing on the shell of an old, heavily damaged Barbie TRU display case that I got a couple years ago because I have absolutely no space for ponies atm lol) And!! These!!

Takara Baby clones by HQG1C! Absolutely lost my mind when these started popping up on Instagram and luckily didn't miss the official pre-order on Clippers Sail. Sadly they do have poly hair, but given the low price and the fact that the HQG1C project is very small and they have to keep cost in mind when making ponies I'm not usually that upset when they occasionally use poly (I am incredibly happy when they do nylon though). Luckily it holds a curl very well! The proportions aren't identical to an authentic Takara Baby (I think they probably used a fakie to create this mold) but they are so so so cute and probably the closest I'll get to owning any Takara ponies in the near future so I'm happy lol I also have the grey variant, but she's currently bald because I hated the yellow hair and don't feel like rehairing her at the moment lol

I’m generally behind on #mailcall but I just realized that I posted the last photo of the baby restoration group yesterday, not today! Wow! So for a sudden change of pace, here’s the HQG1C Spring Bundle, which I got on a preorder! It comes with April Showers (rainbow hair), Shamrock Shimmer, Citrus Squeeze (another big brother!!), two pastel dragons, a Valentine’s Day girl, and lots of other goodies! The listing says “4 bonus items” along with the CYO blank, and I’ve really wanted to rehair that gold sea pony with some metallic gold hair! 🥰 Sadly I think I managed to get the only HQG1C pin I own already, LOL! Ah well! 🥰 Nothing like pony mail to cheer you up! 🎉

HQG1C Puppy Love originally had floor length hair, but I cut it; I wouldn't do that with a vintage pony but with a new one anything goes, and MLPs look better with neck length manes imo :)
