how theyd react to you having someone else as your wallpaper hc?

atsumu, kageyama, tsukki, oikawa, kenma, and bokuto x gn!reader

tw! nothing really. its just fluff. mentions of phone jacking and hacking

atsumu is offended, thank you very much. hes like “gasp!! how come your wallpaper is anyone BUT me?? this is ridiculous!” and youre here smacking your own forehead. damn hes pretty dramatic you think. so you give him some kisses and then take a secret photo of him while hes distracted and set it as your new wallpaper. he whines bc it isnt the best pic(every pic is tsum’s best pic) of him. but you tell ‘im, “its either this or i change it back to what it was before” so he just goes along with it

kageyama/tsukki are baffled bc why have someone else as your wallpaper. they will beat him em up. like both of them will hunt down whoever is on your screen. yall in japan rn? your wallpaper is jaemin from nct? you know he’ll fly to korea and be like “yo jaemin! y/n is mine buddy, back off!” and youd be so embarrassed. but hey, you were in jaemin’s proximity 😍😍

oikawa does not like it. bc hes your one and only, how dare anyone else be your wallpaper besides his amazing self. so he jacks your phone and changes it to a quick selfie he just took to place as your wallpaper.

kenma hacks your phone and changed it to himself(oik is jacking, kenma is full on hacking from a computer ). bro infiltrated your phone… bc kenma is just that good. but not just any picture. its a cute picture you cant even deny or have the heart to change it.

bokuto gets gloomy and depressy. and then he goes around following you “babyyy why not me? pick me. choose me” and youre so confused. until he claws at your phone and starts pointing at the screen do you realize hes salty about someone else as your wallpaper. and so you sooth him by letting him sleep on your lap, then you take a pic of him and make it your new wallpaper. bokuto wakes up as a happy man once again

speaking of people's wrong opinions on art i love haikyuu's art development and its current style idc what ppl say about it

#not every mangaka needs to draw their characters like models sometimes they need to look a bit silly and match the overall tone #idk its sad that so many fans ignore how good furudate's shape language is like his stylization rlly pushed those formssssss ugh #also the faces got more variation it is so easy to tell hq characters apart even though hq rarely uses screen tones like its just bw #i also love how furudate draws old people he is so good at captivating the charm fo all ages ranges its sooooooo #i remember a few years ago i saw ppl complain about kuroo oikawa etc not being Pretty BOys anymore like i guess ut also it makes sm sense t #me #HQ is from HINATAS pov and i think characters like oikawa and kuroo looking goofier and less handsome/intimidating only highlights that the #become hinatas friends like theyre not these imposing seniors anymore those are his friends #i also like that they look and act their age i love that everone is pulling weird faces all the time #hq's visual comedy is just good in general esp with hinata and kageyama oughhhhh #haikyuu! art is great i think it plays such a big role in why its so beloved #even if not everyone likes it

— NIGHTMARE

synopsis ; sleeping alone in a room, having constant nightmares at night, they had enough. Maybe it is time to take up the offer that their brother proposed.

USHIJIMA WAKATOSHI

Nights like this one never really bothered them that much but with these endless nightmares, they couldn't help but finally came to a consensus to accept their brother's proposed offer— that is sleeping in his room.

Instantly grabbing their favorite blanket and animal stuff toy, they walked across the room from theirs which is his brother's room.

Feeling scared and anxious to the thought of their brother to be asleep at this time of the night, the moment they decided to go back to their too. Suddenly, the door opened.

"What are you doing? You've been standing in front of my room endlessly walking back and forth."

"I had another nightmare..."

Without saying another word, Ushijima opened his door and welcomed them in. They felt relieved knowing that Ushijima it didn't seem annoyed at this time.

Throwing themself in the big bed just across from the door, it made a squeaky sound. They felt how warm and comfortable it is to sleep on his brother's bed.

(Why is his bed much bigger than mine! Even bouncier!)

After closing the door, he made his way beside them and closed his eyes.

"Waka-nii, are you going to sleep?"

"What else am I supposed to do then?"

With his one eye open and the other closed, he can see that his sibling is having a great time trying to feel sleepy or even sleep at all. With that being said, he offered his arm for them to place their head and use him as a pillow.

"Waka-nii, I dreamt about monsters under my bed and even outside the window...will you make them go away?"

Trying to hold his laughter down and keep his face as stoic as possible, Ushijima pecked a kiss on their forehead.

"Those monsters won't be going near you, since brother is here by your side."

"Really?" They uttered under their breath as they grip tightly on the stuffed animal.

Giving out a gentle smile, they felt at ease knowing that Ushijima meant what he said.

"Brother did tell you that if ever you have these nightmares, my door is always open for you. And brother will always be right here until you fall asleep, so don't worry about those monsters. Brother is here, okay?"

"M'kay...goodnight, brother..."

The night filled with nightmares soon vanished, only the feeling of warmth and words instantly made them feel at ease and with this they had a good night sleep.

BOKUTO KOUTAROU

"Kou-nii...are you awake?"

In the middle of the night, this tiny bird came walking to his brother's room remembering the offer that he proposed to his sibling.

"I'm having nightmares again, you said I can sleep here right?"

Expecting an answer from his brother, they only got a snore out of him. So they decided to wake him up, by pinching his nostrils and closing his mouth, it didn't take long enough for him to wake up in a weird way.

"ARE YOU INSANE?! ARE YOU TRYING TO KILL ME IN MY SLEEP NOW?!"

Breathing heavily, Bokuto scolds his sibling only to see them sniffling and ready to bust out into tears.

"Don't cry! Brother didn't mean to yell you like that!"

"Brother is a meanie..."

"NO! I was just startled!"

Giving pat heads to his sibling to calm them down, Bokuto then began to wipe their tears away and it didn't take long to make them calm.

"What brings you here and at the middle of the night too?"

"Nightmares..."

"What did you dream about?"

"Vegetables...peas chased me and taunt me to eat them..."

Bokuto instantly bursts out into laughter after hearing his sibling rant about the dream they had, even making him to the point where he sheds some tears from laughing so hard. But the kid in front of him wasn't amused at the sight they saw.

"What are you laughing about?! Brother you are a bully! Making fun of my dream like that when I felt really scared..."

The thought of making his sibling feel worse made his conscience feel bad at the situation and Bokuto apologized for it.

"As a token of apology, you can sleep here for the night."

"Really?" Their mood suddenly perked up at the words Bokuto said and immediately took it. Squeezing themself in the blanket and having snuggle towards their brother, they felt relieved knowing that they have their brother beside.

"Of course! Anything for you." Bokuto says in a gentle manner as he starts to give a warm big hug towards his sibling.

"Kou-nii, would you eat those vegetables for me in my dreams? Maybe it will all start to disappear if you did!"

"I don't think that's even possible, kiddo. But you know that Kou-nii is awesome, so I'll try to do so."

They started to feel drowsy the minute when Bokuto said his sentence. They felt comfortable and safe, knowing that their brother would do anything for them.

"Kou-nii you are amazing, come and find me in my dreams..."

It didn't take long, for the kid to have a good shut eye for once. Bokuto kept on humming until he could hear his sibling breathing and sleeping soundly within his arms.

"Kou-nii would do anything, because brother is indeed amazing, ain't he? Sleep well and rest assured that I'll be here physically and even in your dreams, have a good night."

The humming soon fades, only leaving the two of them sleeping peacefully, breathing gently as the time passed by. Both of them fell asleep as the night continued on.

SAWAMURA DAICHI

Knocking several times at the door in front of them, waiting until the door opens. But they were impatient, enough to start banging on the door.

"DAICHI-NII! OPEN THE DOOR!"

With that being said, the loud banging and even shouting did wake their brother, opening the door revealed him with his eyes closed and had his shirt off.

"Are you aware what time it is?"

"But, Daichi-nii...I had nightmares again..."

(Well, I did tell them to go whenever they had a nightmare...) Picking them up with his bare hands, and carrying them on their way to the bed across the room did startle them, since they didn't expect to be carried like that.

"I AM NOT A CHILD TO BE CARRIED LIKE THAT!"

Now, Sawamura is lying down in the bed while they are sitting down. Beside him, pouting and nagging about being treated as a child.

"So, tell me about your dream this time."

"You...died, playing too much volleyball..."

(As if it would happen...pfft!) Sawamura kept his laughter down, to avoid getting nagged at and to hide this he hugged his sibling tight.

"As if your brother is gonna die because of that! How silly."

"Dai-nii, you stink...why is your shirt off anyway!"

(This brat...)

After struggling for a few minutes, they suddenly stopped. Sawamura took a peek at them and saw that they were sleeping soundly within his arms, he chuckled at the sight.

"What a dream you've got there. Your big brother is too tough to die like that, no matter what happens brother will still be right here the moment you wake up in the morning, sweet dreams little one."

Sawamura soon fell asleep after all the commotion, the nostalgic feeling got him, it's been a while for them to be sleeping like this once again it brought back some memories that made Sawamura fall asleep at an instant.

notes - ngl, this is really self indulgent bc i always thought like, how come readers are never working out with them? since im a runner, i wanted to write something where i can represent my athletic readers and have the reader actually participate in the activities.. ykwim 😭

tw! none so far. just.. running 💀 lowkey boring. whoops

youre not exactly an early bird, but once you wake up, the adrenaline starts pumping and youre no longer dreading the run. waking up is hard, but once you start running and feeling it in your veins, you’re unstoppable. which is why youre compatible with him! he like to wake up early and go on his runs, and you enjoy the feeling of running. the run just clears your mind and gives you time to enjoy the scenery while everyone else is still asleep. giving you time to appreciate your surroundings and explore new areas. a bonus, catching up on podcasts (totally not canon). and while youre running, your mind is distracted by the man running beside you. he always motivates you to keep going and push yourself. not only has he improved your stamina, but your overall athleticism. getting together with him was a life changer, not only did he make you happier, your life and everything changed for the better. youre healthier, much brighter and just overall happier. but one thing, running is also just really calming and intimate in a way where nothing else can compare.

totally not a canon event bc i started doing my morning runs again my has my life been better. i dread the thought of actually running, but once i start running, i love the feeling. so this is just something i thought of while on a run 😭

A lot of people say they found Hobie annoying at first when he was establishing hs punk credentials ("I don't believe in teams or consistency/I'll do it but not because you asked me to/it's a metaphor for capitalism" etc.), but what they need to realize is that he's doing a bit. All Spider-people (except Miguel) become comedians when they're wearing the mask. Hobie happens to have a very dry sense of humor; so while he's masked up his jokes are self-aware exaggerations of 'the punk persona'. Not that he doesn't sincerely hold those beliefs (it's made clear he does when he helps sabotage Spider HQ's unethical trans-dimension surveillance network), just that "I don't believe in comedy! Just kidding!" is what you say when you know how most people perceive 'punks' and enjoy fucking with them a little.
