Making this its own post instead of an ask.
I divide crossovers into categories or types, and here the most basic ones.
Intrusive:
A character from one setting ends up in another, completely unrelated setting. They do not share a universe, do not share a planet, nada. This is "falls through a portal" type of crossover. EXAMPLE: A Witch's Favor, where Wanda Maximoff and Maria Rambeau (Marvel) end up in the Star Wars universe due to an unexplained spell malfunction.
Shared Verse:
The settings could theoretically, in some manner, exist in the same universe without ever intersecting. EXAMPLE: I usually use Naruto for this example, e.g. the Hidden Continent exists in the Pacific but has had minimal influence/interaction with the rest of the setting up to this point because it's magically cut off from the rest of the planet. For Star Wars, this is usually pretty easy by just putting whatever the second canon is as just. A planet in Wild Space. They exist in the same universe! They just haven't found each other yet! A great example is the fic A Star to Steer By, by @norcumii and @dogmatix. A subset of this is fics where one is the distant past of the other, like Muse on This or Red-Eyed Black Widow.
Mixed Verse:
The setting is one that involves both canons influencing each other to a degree, or being in the same verse without being a fusion AU or shared-verse. The settings exist together, both having strong worldbuilding elements of the original, but are not fully themselves and show obvious elements of the other. EXAMPLE: Unfortunately my most recent example is an HP crossover so. Please keep in mind that this is from four years ago, before R*wling outed herself as a massive bigot: Professor Storm.
Fusion:
More or less 1:1 "this character from fandom A would be this character from fandom B" or otherwise "characters from fandom A reimagined in fandom B with none of the original setting." For a long time, HP was the biggest and most constant example, but uhhh that's clearly been falling out of favor like raw eggs. I've seen a lot of good ones for Hunger Games, though, and even wrote my own, but I know some other common ones are Steven Universe (which gem are they?), AtLA (which bender type are they?), or Pokemon (what trainer type are they). Also, arguably, generic AUs that don't take place in canon-verse, like modern or historical or zombie or Generic Cyberdystopia. EXAMPLE: After Me Comes the Flood.
Element Overlay:
A world-building element from Fandom B is applied to the setting and characters of Fandom A. Common examples are Daemon AUs or Sentinel/Guide AUs. I think a fun thing to point out is that, while they don't technically have a source fandom of origin since they were developed communally by fandom, soulmate AUs and omegaverse count as well.
There are other types, like infusing the plot of one narrative into the setting and characters of the other, which is a really fun kind of fusion (I always come back to thinking about Age of Marvels by justplainrii, which only ever got three chapters but still eats at my brain sometimes), buuuuut I'd say most crossovers are some variant of the above.

I came up with a pokemon fusion AU where the figabros got a pair of twin shiny eevees for their birthday a few years before The Coin TossTM (it just seems to me like shinies would totally be a status symbol bc of their rarity so ofc the princes would get one for their birthday) and because it's an AU and I love my boys they unintentionally discover two new eeveelutions entirely by accident- Edgar discovers steel, and Sabin discovers fighting. They're both shiny so nobody knows what they would normally look like yet but Edgar is so thrilled at his little indestructible robot cat-fox and Sabin is very proud of his super strong buddy. When they meet back up during the events of ff6, their new eeveelutions recognize each other!
Behond: Macheon! ("machine evolution")
Tumblr media
I was going for a steampunk looking vibe to match the setting of the game! I also went on about Macheon's stats and Edgar's strategies a little long so I'll put the rest under a cut so it doesn't take up too much dash room.
It evolves with high friendship + high def + holding a TM 053 (as of gen 9, this is Smart Strike). Edgar figures this out fairly quickly by attempting to replicate it with another eevee, so he can make notes about Macheon's physiology, behaviour, and temperament for the pokedex. (Edgar gets to write a whole new pokedex entry!! He's the first one to discover Macheon!! He's absolutely ecstatic about it.)
Macheon's highest stats are his defensive stats (physical and special def, HP) and his offensive base stats are in the more average range, the lowest stat is his speed (because he's made of metal lol). Edgar being the smarty pants he is had Macheon learn Trick Room to make his low speed an advantage!
Macheon's moveset:
Smart Strike (70 base power phys steel attck, never misses)
Trick Room (status move that warps the battlefield so slower pokemon move first)
Work Up (increases phys and sp attck by one stage with each use)
Parabolic Charge (electric type sp attck with 50 base damage that restores the user's HP by 50% of the damage dealt)
Depending on the situation, Edgar will have his partner learn or remember moves as well- if he can, he always goes in prepared. Macheon can play both support and offense well, just like Edgar himself in ff6. Its learnset has several status moves, as well as attacks that inflict status conditions and debuffs on the opponent. Edgar will usually swap out Trick Room for a move like Screech (lowers opponent's phys def by two stages), Supersonic (inflicts confusion), or Thunder Wave (inflicts paralysis) if he's battling alongside allies with faster pokemon. He gives Macheon a Covert Cloak to hold, so it can avoid the additional effects of moves like Discharge or Shadow Ball that may inflict status conditions or debuffs. Pokemon with status moves like Haze (resets all stats to their base value), Safeguard (protects from status moves), and Taunt (prevents the use of status moves) would be The Worst if he wasn't able to run a mixed setup with Macheon, but he is!
Essentially, Macheon is very similar to Umbreon, except without the weakness to fairy, bug, and psychic type moves. It still has a weakness to fighting though, as well as being vulnerable to fire and ground. However: as a steel type it is immune to poison! The irony of which has not been lost Edgar, what with his father having been poisoned by the Empire and all.

HP/Pokémon Fusion AU Snippet
I started thinking of Pokémon teams for HP characters, and this AU was born. There may be more to follow, because I’m having far too much fun.
-
“Check.”
Harry scowled at the chessboard. Ron grinned back at him. “Mate in four,” he added helpfully.
Harry studied the board for a moment. He reached for his remaining rook, only to freeze when Absol gave a soft bark.
“That’s cheating,” Ron protested, but he didn’t stop Harry from moving his bishop instead. His Yamper sprawled at his feet, more interested in the sun streaming through the Common Room windows than the battle being played out on the chessboard. Harry gave Absol a grateful pat.
“Thank you.”
Ron shook his head as he made his own move. “That’s not how disaster-sensing is supposed to work.”
“It’s good training,” Harry disagreed. “Even little disasters count.”
Even Absol couldn’t forestall his his loss for long though. Ron packed away the board with a satisfied smile, then glanced at his watch.
“Where’s Hermione? It’ll be starting soon.”
Harry frowned. “Dunno, but she won’t want to be late.”
He glanced at Absol, but before he could voice the question Hermione hurried down from the girls’ dormitories.
“Are you two finished yet?” she asked. “If we don’t leave now, we’ll miss it.”
Hatenna squeaked agreement from her arms, and Ron huffed. “We were waiting for you!”
“I’ve been ready for the last twenty minutes,” Hermione shot back. “You’re the ones who insisted on starting a game when you knew the timing of the ceremony…”
Harry tuned out the familiar bickering as they made their way down to the Great Hall. They were by no means the last ones to arrive; students of all four houses were still streaming into the hall as the trio found seats next to Ginny and Neville. Her Pichu greeted Yamper with a squeak and a crackle of sparks, while Neville’s Chikorita waved a vine from his lap. Neville smiled at them.
“They’ll be starting soon,” he said. “Look!”
Harry did so. The enormous view screen had beens set up behind the dais where the teachers usually sat. Dumbledore and McGonagall were absent, but the rest of the faculty were spread along the sides of the room. Harry caught Snape’s familiar scowl out the corner of his eye, then his attention was diverted when the screen lit up to show an empty arena.
“It’s starting!”
Harry ignored Ludo Bagman’s welcoming commentary. It was nothing they hadn’t heard before. Dumbledore and McGonagall had appeared at one end of the arena, both wearing robes emblazoned with the Hogwarts crest, and a cheer went up from the students. Fred and George started up a chant, their twin Toxtricity amplifying it to the point of drawing even more ferocious glares from Snape, but his ire was lost in the general commotion.
Ron suddenly grabbed Harry’s arm.
“There they are!”
Harry’s breath caught. Coming out to face Dumbledore and McGonagall were Godric Gryffindor and Salazar Slytherin. Even on the screen, Gryffindor was larger than life; the stadium lights caught his red hair and gave him a blazing halo as he waved to the crows. Next to him, Slytherin was more subdued, but he was still greeted by cheers as he left his mobility chair to lean on his cane next to Gryffindor.
“This is going to be fascinating,” Hermione exclaimed. “Gryffindor and Slytherin haven’t participated in a Double Battle since their official retirement.”
“In public,” Harry corrected.
“Obviously,” Hermione began, but she broke off abruptly as the combatants released their Pokémon in a series of flashes.
Dumbledore’s Volcarona and McGonagall’s Pyroar were a familiar sight, and another deafening cheer rose from the students. It was more than equalled though by the reaction to Gryffindor’s legendary Lucario.
“That’s the same Lucario he used in the war!” Ron yelled over the commotion. “He held off all four of the Swords of Justice by himself until they could explain-”
“We know,” said Ginny. “You’ve told us a million times.”
But her eyes were shining just as brightly as Ron’s, and Harry suppressed a smile with an effort. He refocused on the battle in time to see Slytherin’s Bisharp appear next to Lucario. Hermione leaned forward.
“That’s a risky choice. Slytherin could have used his Greninja, but now they’ve got two Steel-types facing two Fire-types…”
“They can handle it,” said Ron firmly. “They train with Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw all the time, and there’s no way they haven’t battled their Turtonator and Delphox.”
“And remember that that might not even be Bisharp,” Harry added. “They’ve got a lot of tricks.”
Slytherin’s Zoroark was every bit as powerful as Gryffindor’s Lucario. One of Harry’s private games was trying to work out when the Illusion Pokémon was on the field disguised as someone else. He hadn’t had much success so far, but one day…
The umpire’s hand came down and the first attacks burst forth, and Harry lost himself in the battle. One day he would stand on that arena. One day he would be strong enough to protect everyone he loved. For now, he had a lot to learn.

Current State of Bandit Fic
The last time I did one of these was on April 12, so it’s been about a month and a half.  I figured I wanted to do one again, especially since there’s been a lot more stuff started and to give general updates on what I’ve been writing, etc.
This’ll be under a cut, so apologies to you mobile users because I don’t think it does the cuts.  :/
Completed JTV Fics:
Carla
THE LAST CHAPTER HAS BEEN POSTED.  IT’S DONE.
Luisa and the Fox
I have one more chapter left to post, and I plan for that to be next month.
I do still plan on potential extended scenes in a different fic.
In-Progress Posted JTV Fics:
If You Lived Here, You’d Be Home Now
Still planning on posting at least a chapter a month until it’s done.
I’ve liked having these on alternate second Mondays with Luisa and the Fox with a chapter of Carla every other week, but given that the latter is done and the former is almost done....
Probably still plan on posting these on Mondays.
There are at least fifteen twenty known chapters (as in I have a fairly good idea of what happens in those chapters) and past those potentially two more at least - and some of those might expand because I know me and this should all happen in this chapter! and then it ends up being longer than I thought.
Right now it feels like this fic is shaping up to be more like multi-chapter chunks/arcs.
So the first arc was Luisa’s first few days at Belle Reve, and that was eight chapters.
The current arc I estimate to have at least seven chapters (six of those I have a fairly good idea of what’s going to happen but there’s an in-between of what’s currently going on and the latter half of the arc - like there’s a time period that I don’t have covered that I think may have a chapter but am not sure).
The next arc has at least five chapters (that I have general ideas on what happens with them) but will probably be longer than that.
The next arc has at least four but probably five chapters (that I have a fairly good idea of what happens - two of those chapters may be combined into one, but not sure at this point).
The next chapter has at least two, maybe three chapters before a one-two chapter break, and then there will probably be more chapters but not sure exactly on how this one will go as well.
Okay so apparently that’s more like twenty more chapters.  Oops.
The general ideas are the same as they were the last time I gave the estimate.  It’s just that at least one other complication has been added, among other things.  This is more likely to be longer than shorter.
Jane: The Real Story
Still not planning to schedule updates but may go into the Monday update slots.
Still don’t know how long this is going to be.
I do have the season one arc fairly plotted (or, well, partially plotted because there was a lot that happened in season one and while I know some of what I want to do with this, there are probably other things I should address and haven’t decided yet).
I have season two better plotted.  Or.  It’s less like seasons and more like arcs.
The first arc is Jane + pregnancy.  This is your season one equivalent, but it’s fairly different from season one.
The second arc is consequences of lying about the artificial insemination.  This is your season two equivalent, even though it address some events from season one.
The third arc is dealing with the aftermath of those consequences and...takes place in two different locations.  This is your season three/four equivalent.
I’m not sure if I’ll have an equivalent arc for season five because by that point it mostly won’t exist but I suppose there’s at least one aspect I’d like to address from season five so.  There’s that.
Basically it’s better brainstormed.
Still planning on having this be flexible in terms of updates.  For now, at least.
The Adventures of Rose, the Baker’s Daughter
I still like writing fairy tales and still don’t want to be judged but for now, this one is not in the cards to be regularly updated.  Kind of like the Pokemon fics.
Not abandoned but not super high priority.
Aftershocks
Potentially goes into one of the Monday update slots but not sure at this point.
Have a general idea of things I want to happen in this fic but not enough to give a general chapter count.  This is a really new fic, so it’s still being brainstormed ish.
I do look forward to the Luisa/Lint scenes, though, and I do plan on this being very focused on just Luisa, Rose, and Lint.  I don’t really want it to be bigger than them at the moment, although it may expand after this initial first arc.  I’m not sure yet.
May have a companion piece in regards to the Rosalint fic.
Kind of like how Carla and If You Lived Here, You’d Be Home Now are companion pieces.  You can read them separately and they work, but if you’ve read both, you get more out of them...ish.  They reference and call back to each other.
Heart in Motion
Not planning on having a firm updating schedule with this because it’s comedy and comedy is hard for me (dramedy is a little bit better but not by much).
This one is harder to write because idk if I can accurately capture the feel of all the ODAAT characters (Lydia, in particular, may be hard).
I have a general idea of where I want to go in terms of plot on this one.
I do want to have some ODAAT-centric chapters that set up for later stuff; I don’t want to just focus on Luisa and Rose drama (although I definitely do plan on drama as a result of...primarily Rose, let’s be honest).  But I don’t want to make the ODAAT characters side characters because I want it to be just as much their story as Rose and Luisa’s.
Expect irregular updates for now because that’s probably what might happen.
Sleeping Habits
I keep forgetting that there’s supposed to be a second chapter to this.
My bad.
In-Progress Unposted JTV Fics:
Everything’s Coming Up Roses
No change from the last update as I’ve been focusing on other projects.
Shenanigans: Luisa and the Fox
Name change.  More like a rearranging.
The only change here is more brainstorming, tbh, insofar as connecting it to another piece.
I like companion pieces, and while one might assume that the fairy tales are companions to each other, right now it’s looking like they’re more companions to another, much bigger, project.
May take up a Monday update slot once Luisa and the Fox is finished.
Where The Lightning Splits The Sea
aka Roisa HP AU.
This is probably going to be really, really long.
The first book has an outline.  It should be...fifteen chapters long.
The second book has the beginnings of its outline - right now it’s at least seven chapters long, but that only gets us to the end of October.
The following books I have notes on stuff that I want to make sure to include.
I’ve started writing the first book.
Right now I’m in chapter three, and the book is already over 13k.  That should give you some idea of length here.
I have a really good idea of what I want to do with this entire series.
It’s just probably going to be really long.
Right now, the plan is to finish an entire book and then post the chapters as updates (probably on Thursdays as opposed to the normal Monday updates).
I hope to have betas for these, and I’d like the betas to have the general overarching outline of what’s going on...but maybe not.
Maybe should have different betas for this.  I’m unsure.
Also I should probably finish my HP series reread.  Oh well.
A Christmas at Longbourne
aka Hallmark Holiday Special
Projected to be five chapters long.
Hopefully to be posted on Mondays in July.
Because Christmas in July, y’all!
So.  Should probably focus on this and finish the rough draft but I keep getting distracted.
Currently with the second chapter.
University AU
Unsure on length.
Have a fairly good idea of overarching plot.
I think last time I checked I was in chapter...two?
But there was a prologue, so for y’all that’d be the third chapter.  Ish.
Probably won’t be a Monday update slot.  But could be?
Rosalint Fic
Yes, this is more considered a JTV fic than a Tick fic because it’s set in the JTV universe more than The Tick universe.
Right now I mostly just have bits and pieces.  Scenes.  Some fluff, some...not.
This is likely the companion piece for Aftershocks, probably, so.  You won’t need to read both to enjoy either of them but you’ll enjoy them more if you read both.  Basically.
Brainstorming JTV Fics:
Canon-Compliant Soulmate AU
OKAY BUT I WENT THROUGH SOULMATE AU PROMPTS AND IDEAS AND I HAVE A GENERAL GOOD IDEA OF WHAT I’M DOING WITH THIS AND I’M ACTUALLY EXCITED,
It’s still in brainstorming stage because.  do you see the above?  I’ve been doing a lot of writing on a lot of other things.
Brainstorming Non-JTV Fics:
Potential Lint/Overkill Prequel Fic
Just what it says on the tin.
Probably more a collection of one-shots that would follow like lightning.
Potential Timeless Soulmate AU Fic
Focuses on Emma.
Uses the same general soulmate timer world as seen in the Roisa one-shot that people liked.
Have a good overarching idea of this but want a few more specifics before jumping into it more.
Probably won’t use the time machine BUT plan on having other Rittenhouse funded research that they want to use to control people.
Potential Timeless/Noir Fusion Fic
In which Emma has amnesia and gets dropped on Lucy’s doorstep before Lucy knows about Rittenhouse.
I have ideas about this one and I like those ideas but still hammering out the specific details of the fusion.
Like I can’t just make Lucy an assassin.
Like Emma makes better sense if I fuse her as a combination of Chloe and Altena but she’s technically in Kirika’s role.
Like how do I throw the rest of the gang in here (and do I, considering one of the great things about Noir was that none of the main characters were men and the men who showed up were usually in minor or plot device roles)?
I really want to write this because Noir is so near and dear to my heart but....  Idk if anyone else will enjoy this, tbh.

What are the top 5 weirdest dreams you’ve ever had?
Holy bloody jack, I didn’t even know this was in my ask. I don’t know what’s up with my inbox, but if you’re readin’ this, I got your message and I apologize if it was late!
Who’s ready for some acidic, bizarrest, and very nonsensical dreams you have to witness? I sure am.
5.) Bombing Barbecue
This particular dream was recent, and even though I had been reluctant to put this up, I also cackled about it the whole day.
In the dream, I happened to be featured as the new judge for “Shark Tank,” upon getting that much exposure for making music (I wish I did make music, ehehehe). As a judge, I had shown no mercy to any contestant, only doing so for anything involving art and art only, and I had reviewers calling me a “tsundere” because of that. Bloody jack, one of my famous quotes in the show was, “Those millions of dollars would be used to buy myself Cuphead. I’m out.”
One day, two certain owners from a dead-end company that was infamous in a Kitchen Nightmares episode appeared, introducing us a whole new way to get your barbecue to be cooked even faster. Of course, I immediately eliminated myself from the situation, because I was literally frightened from such a sight. In agreement to what I had to say, they did the same.
Want to know why we did as such? The two owners basically fired a ballistic missile in an empty area that has a plate of raw meat on it, and the whole area was wiped out, leaving behind the same food, but now perfectly cooked.
One of the judges did give them an offer, but the two went hostile, saying that the offer was as useless as Gordon Ramsey, and they left. That same judge fired an army of ducks to attack them, one of them ramming into my face before I would wake up.
4.) America’s Got Marshadow
This was during the chase for Marshadow, in where everyone was begging for codes of the new Mythical Pokemon. In this dream, it didn’t go as I originally planned.
I was heading to Gamestop, and I was basically buying a new 3DS game that was said to be critically acclaimed. The person who managed the place told me he has one last Marshadow code just for me, and told me to never give it to anyone. In excitement, I went home as if I were in a movie, heading to my room (that was purple and filled with Chandelures), and got myself the beloved Pokemon.
However, once I achieved it, Marshadow immediately broke out of the game, and invited me to a brand new episode of “America’s Got Talent,” with a promise of money for my family. In delight, I accepted it, and thus was teleported to the front stage.
There were four judges that were there: Micheal Bay, Hau Memes, my fucking sister, and Darky. All of them told me that I claimed to master and perform every last Z-Move in the book, and wanted to see if it was true. So I did so, and I was surprisingly good at it. The audience was in awe from how I performed one move after another, complete with explosions and fireworks. Hell, at one moment, the cameraman showed Markiplier’s reaction, who was basically frightened from what he has witnessed.
Once that was done, the four judges had their jaws dropping, and Marshadow didn’t like how I got this much attention. Out of nowhere, it turned into Arceus and tried to kill me, but not before the said duck rammed into my face.
3.) Hau-stagram
This dream is exactly what it says on the label. In the dream, Generation 9 had arrived, and the new region was based on the Middle East as a way to share their anti-nuclear weapon propaganda. The game was considered the “Watership Down” of Pokemon games, because it was the game that hit home to the victims of war.
However, there was one particular moment where the rival goes back in time to help a baby Normal/Ghost type legendary find its true self, aka Hau, and I was helping him out as well. One of Hau’s selves wasn’t island kahuna, but instead a social media critic that’s popular on YouTube. Upon realizing who I was, he asked if I could help him out with a couple reviews, and didn’t take no for an answer.
The first contestant was a newbie, and had an Instagram on hand with a couple selfies and stolen pictures to go with. They were immediately eliminated from the contest, Hau saying, “Instagram is for bigots. Why don’t you try something trendy, like Tumblr?”
The next contestant was an artist, and a professional, but only had an Instagram. Showing a bit of sympathy, Hau gave the said person a 6/10, only because their art managed to make up for it.
The final contestant… Oh golly, the final contestant, in which was my sister out of all things. Hau was shocked to see her, and found out that you can play the story-mode in multi-player without fail. My sister didn’t back down, showing off both her Twitter and her Tumblr, in which made him faint and gave it a “Necrozma out of ten.”
King Dice was somehow there was well, being the inspector of Hau’s said reviews. He congratulated him on his success and me for helping him out. While I was forced into a Pokemon battle (a note to add was that he had a Ribombee and a Chandelure in his team), things still went as usual. King Dice gave him the new title as “Mister King Critic.”
And then I awoke from bed.
2.) Ultra Dice
This fever dream was the origin of the Emperor Lunacy AU, although I did replace the said Necrozma fusion with Chandelure.
In this dream, the creators behind Cuphead had a new DLC, and was bought by Nintendo in order to keep the traditional 1930s animation. When the Direct had announced a new DLC for one of the sequels, many of us were excited and weren’t afraid to spend money on it.
One of the DLCs was, well, a bit weirder than it was. They brought back King Dice to mark the yearly anniversary of the game, but also marked the anniversary of Ultra Sun and Moon, in which a few people found confusing but was okay with.
Now, you think because it was a DLC made just for King Dice, it would be as normal as it is? Well, you’re bloody wrong.
King Dice had a second stage, and it involved him breaking out of his own dice head to reveal a prism-like void. His attacks mostly involved cards that turn into “burning lights” and sucking the player into his head to leave it with one HP left.
Once you battle him, there’s no going back, and exiting the game won’t do much, either. Winning to him means you’re free to go, but lose to him, and he mercy-kills you by destroying your computer, the only game over text shown in Morse code below before the blue screen:
.- .-.. .-.. / .. … / .- -. / . -. .. –. – .- –..– / .- -. -.. / - …. ..- … / -.– — ..- .-. / – .. -. -.. / – . .- -. … / -. — - …. .. -. –. .-.-.-
1.) The Empty Ones
I won’t say this is a dream, but rather something I had in mind all through the night.
In the “daydream,” my younger self and my pack of goth friends were wandering through the night, laughing and talking while one of my friend’s dad drunk drives us to a party that was a after-Halloween party. Bluntly ignorant, we entered the house without any warning, and somehow crashed it.
As the party progressed, I slowly became self-aware of what was happening outside, and decided to see what it was. There was a group of goths just like us, but in a form of a cult instead. They didn’t mind me “joining,” since they said it was “the ritual to end everything.” Turns out, this was a ritual to bring back the ghosts of “wound and flesh” in order to protect us from a rising threat, and when the ritual functioned, I saw the pain in their eyes.
The ghosts started to possess one person after another, a massacre that struck just immediately, but I didn’t see any bloodshed, the party members became ghosts as well, going after the racists in the neighborhood, leaving a trail of candy for children to eat. I wasn’t effected because one of the cult members said my “Pokemon type,” could be the case (I did a quiz before, and I got Electric/Dark, so there’s something).
I eventually saw a pond that was two yards deep, and figured that the only way to put an end to this is if I joined them, and so I took my life. The ghosts saw that I was “chosen,” and followed me into the waters below as I delve into a permanent sleep.
If you thought the dream was scary, it all turned out to be one giant movie, and while it did get positive reviews, it didn’t do well in the box office. I never did die from drowning, because I was jumping on one giant pillow.

I’m finally getting around to posting some of my tumblr drabbles, and the HP/Pokémon fusion AU had to be first. This one in particular is great stress relief, so if anyone has any suggestions or scenarios, feel free to send them in!

PokéFounders Snippet
So I was writing this for a friend for fun, but a couple of people asked about it so here’s a little sample. Let me know if you want to see more.
For reference, Quaxo and Felicia were the nicknames Salazar and Selene gave their Eevee as children.
-
A few minutes later, dressed and with Quaxo at his heels, Salazar entered the kitchen to find Godric already halfway through his breakfast. Godric glanced up and beamed.
“Finally! What took you so long?”
Salazar rolled his eyes, but Aunt Gwen got there before him. “Godric…”
Godric shot Salazar a sheepish smile and returned to wolfing down his food. Aunt Gwen shook her head and came over to give Salazar a hug. “Good morning, dear. Sleep well?”
“I was,” said Salazar dryly, and Godric tried and failed to look apologetic.
Aunt Gwen sighed. “An adventure will do you some good,” she told her son. “At least I know one of you will be sensible.”
Godric choked on his food. Salazar grinned, and Aunt Gwen winked at him before turning back to the cooking. Salazar pulled himself into a chair opposite Godric and leaned back with a sigh.
Really, he had been lucky. He had always been close to Godric and his family, ever since their mothers had bonded over having rather mischievous toddlers to handle. Salazar had grown up in Godric’s house as much as his own, and Godric had been much the same. They had been inseparable, and Salazar had often felt closer to Godric than to his actual sister.
So on that awful day, when Salazar had lost everything, it had felt only natural that Aunt Gwen and Uncle Alfred had taken him in. Not that they had had much choice, not with Godric refusing to leave Salazar’s side. The three of them, and Quaxo, had been the only things that had gotten Salazar through that terrible time.
Felicia had been there too, but that was different.
Salazar shook himself and forced his attention back to his breakfast. There was no point in thinking about that. Even if his parents would have been so proud to see him finally setting off on his journey. His mother would have been giving him advice on how to build the perfect team, and his father would have been fussing over Quaxo, and Selene would have been giving him ‘helpful’ tips, Felicia on her lap, and -
“Sal?”
Salazar blinked up to see Godric watching him. His brother gave a crooked smile and nudged his plate closer “C’mon. Even you need to eat.” Quaxo butted his elbow, and Godric nodded. “See, he agrees with me. Always said he was the smart one.”
Salazar snorted. “Of course he is. I hatched him.” But the distraction had served its purpose, and he gave Quaxo a scratch, and Godric a small smile. Godric smiled back, then began talking animatedly about what Pokémon he was going to pick.
He was still going twenty minutes later when the two of them left for the lab.
“…but wouldn’t Torchic be awesome? I mean, have you seen how badass Blaziken is? Especially its Mega form. But then Swampert looks great too, and it’s got a brilliant typing. That would mess with any Electric types. But it’s really vulnerable to Grass types, I guess, and Sceptile are really strong.” He kicked at a stone. “This is hard! What do you think, Sal? Sal?”
Salazar, who had been watching Quaxo attempt to catch Taillow, blinked and looked round. “Did you say something?”
Godric punched him lightly on the arm. “You’re supposed to be helping me choose a Starter!”
Salazar shrugged. “Just pick the one you like best. Or that likes you best. You’re going to be catching Pokémon of all different types anyway, aren’t you?”
“Of course! I have to if I’m going to be the world’s greatest Pokémon Master someday.”
“So just go with your favourite.” He tilted his head back, drinking in the bright sunlight. Godric was silent, and Salazar frowned at him. His brother’s face was unusually subdued. “What it is?”
Godric bit his lip. “It’s stupid.”
Salazar sighed. “Just tell me, Godric,” he said.
Godric ducked his head, then said very quietly, “What if it doesn’t like me?”
“Don’t be stupid,” said Salazar flatly. “Of course it’ll like you.”
“But what if-”
“Godric, all Pokémon like you,” said Salazar in exasperation. “We’ve got photos of you with about twenty Taillow on you. Even Felicia likes you, and she hates everyone.”
“She doesn’t hate you,” Godric interrupted with a frown.
“Well, she doesn’t like me.” He shook his head. “You’ll be fine, Godric. I know it.”
Godric held his gaze for a moment, then gave a slow smile. “Yeah. Yeah, I will.” He slung an arm round Salazar’s shoulders. “So you’re sure you’re not going to get one?”
“I’ve got Quaxo,” Salazar pointed out. His Eevee paused his not so stealthy pouncing practice to send him an approving look, and he smiled. “I don’t need one of the proper Starters. It’s not like you have to get one, Rowena’s got that Ralts, remember.”
“Well yeah, but it’d be cool.” He shrugged. “Oh well. We’ll still be able to have a battle.”
Salazar grinned. “Sounds good to me. Just remember that there’s no shame in losing to a superior opponent.”
“I’ll remember that, if I ever do, some distant day in the future…”
“You keep telling yourself that, Godric.”
