i feel like we all know that a lot of vinnie's fans send/spread hate whenever he's simply seen with a girl, but i decided to write this headcanon in which it's the opposite. where the fans absolutely love you

At first he didn’t know how to approach the situation. You know, finally telling everyone he has a girlfriend. He was also nervous about the reactions. Not that he gave a fuck about what people were to say about him, it was you he was worried about.

And how would he do it? Would he make a tik tok? Would he post a selfie with you on his Instagram story and let people put two and two together?

You told him you didn’t care about what other people thought. Well, maybe deep down you cared a little. Who wouldn’t? But at the end of the day, you couldn’t control what other people said about you and their jealousy.

Vinnie didn’t know the photo had been taken until Jett sent it to him. It was a picture of Vinnie sitting on the couch, you in his lap, kissing each other with your hands caressing his face and his hands wrapped around your waist. Whoever took it was at a distance and zoomed in to take it. It was a chill night at the house. You thought you were alone. Guess not.

Vinnie said, “fuck it”, and posted the picture on Instagram. It was the third picture out of six for his camera roll dump. And tagged you.

You braced yourself for the comments/notifications. Vinnie was giddy with excitement as he knew he just dropped the bomb and there was no going back now.

You told yourself that you were just gonna ignore it for now. Check back in maybe three days.

It hadn’t even been thirty minutes and you opened the app. Disregarding the new activity on your end, you went straight to his comment section.

“oh so we hard launching now?”

“babe, that don’t look like me”

“This was my last straw”

“bout to take a bath with a toaster”

“I’m actually sick”

“Who tf is this?”

“SHES GORGEOUS”

“Y’all acting like he want y’all.”

“You two are so cute!!”

Of course there were going to be negative ones. But to your surprise, it wasn’t as bad as you thought. There were also a good number of positive ones.

You go to your notifications and it’s flooded. Again, the negative comments were there. Some asking who you were and why you were with Vinnie. Some putting the throwing up emoji. Nothing that you didn’t expect. Even Vinnie was surprised at the response, so far. He was sure he was gonna have to tell some people off.

In the days to come, he started posting you more since it the relationship was no longer a “secret”. And honestly, it came natural, not looking like he was trying to show everyone he had a girlfriend. He posted you like he would post his friends.

You did the same. Although you both made sure that a lot of things were kept private.

His fans loved that they could see Vinnie from your point of view on your insta story. They loved seeing him act silly while y’all were out to lunch or out shopping because you dragged him. You liked being able to give them that content.

When he would post a video on tik tok and you were in it, some people would be like “she’s OUR gf” and he’d be like “bro what?”

You had an account of your own but wouldn’t post all that often. Vinnie’s fans would comment on his videos, telling him to tell you to post more.

When he streams, he’ll get a lot of “where’s y/n?” comments from viewers. Sometimes they would ask so much that he literally has to say that you’re not even there at the house. He would fake being offended that they weren’t playing attention to his game play. Not that he could blame them. He couldn’t stop thinking about you either.

There would be mail sent to the P.O. box with Vinnie’s name on the packaging label but every single item was for you.

When out in public, fans were just as excited to meet you. You can’t even count how many selfies you took with them.

Even the guy fans. Now, Vinnie isn’t the type to really get jealous, but you could tell something was up by how clingy he got after.

It’s like they loved you more than him and honestly, Vinnie couldn’t have been happier at the turnout.

Instagram just had the nerve to inform me that my new top post achieved 17% more interaction than my last top post, and like, if they want to make Instagram so that it's only for businesses now they should just announce that and, I don't know, demote all the personal accounts to guests or viewers with no editing permissions or something. Let's just admit that it's this thing that only shows commercials and basically you're a type of NPC if you're not selling anything. It's the same fucking thing with Twitter showing all these analytics at the bottom of tweets, like sir I do not care, this is not what I joined any of these platforms for, and if you've decided that your thing is now exclusively a B2B orgy that private citizens can passively observe if they really feel like it, just fucking say that. It's weird how quickly things have escalated from companies just serving tons of ads for products a regular person could buy, to ALSO treating every user like they might be a small business owner who needs business-to-business ads too. A while ago I had this problem where just because I sent or tracked a package or something, FedEx was relentlessly spamming me with products that would only be relevant to a corporation. Recently I applied for a really low rent, borderline volunteer job that required me to create an Airtable account so they could assign me tasks, and now Airtable sends me endless advertisements for they can increase the productivity of my employees. And like this is not unique, it seems like a lot of companies are playing the numbers game of treating you like BOTH an individual consumer AND a potential corporate account JUST IN CASE you can give them money out of both holes. And then I have like Instagram and Twitter, places where I can actually register that I'm doing business IF that's my deal, addressing me like I'm a marketing professional who really needs their "insights" on how I can boost engagement for my like, picture of a funny piece of garbage I just saw on the sidewalk. It seems so wasteful and pointless to me, but what do I know, I'M NOT A FUCKING BUSINESS OWNER.

just throwing this into the void for new wilbur viewers!

(it’s just info about wilbur’s streaming habits seeing as i’ve seen a lot of people worrying about the potential stream this week)

from what i’ve seen wilbur never really streams earlier than 6pm bst, i’ve gotten notifs he’s streaming at like 1am bst at his absolute latest. he does not and never has had a schedule for streaming.

(i don’t live in bst timezone but that’s a rough guess of my earliest stream notif times and my latest)

if he does announce a time for the stream it’s pretty likely he’ll be late, for his last dsmp stream he was like an hour late. it’s much more likely however that he won’t announce a date or time.

and he doesn’t currently have access to his main twitter account, so all info we have from him will either come from his instagram or his private twitter account. luckily we here on tumblr have the wilbur soot update account! the mods there are very good about keeping us all informed on his public activities online. it’s how we even know about him wanting to stream this week.

also if he’s streaming just chatting it’ll usually never go on longer than an hour but if out of sheer luck he streams qsmp it might be longer. if he does stream qsmp please keep your messages in english! the mods last i remember don’t speak any other languages, things might’ve changed but i don’t know.

i’ll also tack on that the last from will he was playing tf2 on the floor of his house while on a call with phil. i wouldn’t be too surprised if he is in some strange location for this stream.

Episode 1 Notes:

1. From the outset we are told this is a first hand account, using footage from their own archives. And members of BRF have declined to comment.

2. For some ridiculous reason, first scene is at an airport arrivals lounge. Private jet Harry's documentary starts with scenes from a commercial airport. Lol. Appary he has just landed at London in March 2020. Probably traumatic because this was the first time they had to take commercial lol

3. It's quite evident that this started as a video diary (Meghan's idea?) around March 2020. Way before they finalized the netft deal. So ...this is how they pitched to platforms? This is the behind the scenes look? Scheming bastards.

4. They are addressing all the little criticism - private jets. How little she knew of Harry. Media scrutiny. Archie. How she gave up everything to marry him and then he voluntarigave up his life to join her world.

5. There is a LOT of footage of the kids. Basicat it's their iPhone gallery made into a movie with piano music.

6. She and her friends really overexplai. That she was single "SINGLE" for a couple of months in summer 2016. And travelly the world with her girlfriends. And that those trips were planned to enjoy the world. Girl doth protest a bit too much.

7. Oh btw they met on Instagram. Lol new twist. And she got to know his through his ig feed. Lol. He is photographer ok guys. And he asked to meet her. So not a blind date.

8. They also show their private chats. URghhhh!

9. Harry is such a doofus. All he wanted was to get married and that's a bit creepy ok. It comes across as if he would have married anyone.

12. We see a lot of footage of innocent diana talking about Harry and Harry doing cute stuff. Just in case we forget. Harry says he doesn't have early memories of his mom. But, dear viewers, we do, right? So that's more important. We all loved Diana.

13. Everybody who has ever spoken/written anything favorable about the couple is in this series. Noone who could present the other side. It seems a bit glaring.

14. So much royal footage. So much of the queen. If she was alive she definitely would have been offended at this. I'm sure. This is disrespectful. Because it makes it seem like "Meghan against the institution". Instead of Harry and Meghan the lovestruck couple.

This is the undertone that I think Meghan may have wanted to distance herself from.

15. When Harry talks about his childhood it does make a but of sense, esp with the skiing footage and Eug and Bea look overwhelmed.

16. He says what she shared in panorama was her experience and truth. Even if it was obtained in the wrong way.

17. Harry is such a simp. Meghan tries to be, but personally she seems like she is overacting even in their old home videos and facetimes. How is that possible?? And Harry says she is so simar to his mum. ewww... the mommy issues!

18. Lol there really are Diana's pictures on the wall in a tiara in the nursery. Didn't Harry hace any private pictures of her he can show his children because this was literally from a magazine photoshoot. WTH!

19. When he talks about his mum's death, they show a photo of the two brothers. With William looking at Harry, and Harry staring into space. That's heartbreak. Truly. The only time I wished the brothers were still close. What would Will think if he sees this??

20. This episode does a good job at presenting Harry's childhood issues. And his fears. He seems self aware. And you empathise with him up to that point. But then I wonder, with all of this, how could Meghan make this whole thing about herself?? His problems are real and massive and he had so much support. And she and him, they make this all about her not being able to adjust and how unfair it was for her to leave everything behind (for all of 1.5 yrs lol).

21. I think, this maybe one of the reasons that Meghan hasn't liked this series. We get to know the Harry that we liked and loved and thought we knew. It makes her feel.like a nobody. And he overcompensates ofr that constay. But the showrunners, director, Netflix won't overcompensate. They tell us who us the more valuable one.

22. Harry is White Knight-ing in Africa. You know, the wayward, heartbroken lad who just wants some warmth and acceptance... It's a bit much, this narrative. esp in these times. This impression of Africa the land of authenticity and finding yourself, even if true, is something we should all avoid now.

23. Harry's issues are so obviously here, I believe if Meghan hadn't come along he might have stayed on the straight and narrow. She didn't value and respect his heritage. And he mirrored her to be able to keep her. (My opinion from this episode)

24. Whenever Lindsay Roth speaks, I feel like she is auditioning for the best friend's role in a Hallmark movie. Whenever nacho comes on screen I want to scream, he is a skeez.

25. They show Harry's tiny makesft tent. To quell the glamping rumours.

26. Abigail Spencer and her bad extensions. Uffff!

27. There's some friend of hers called silver tree. Lol what? Who is this woman? I bet she is a stand in for Gina Nelthorp Cowne. Poor Gina, was ghosted but would have loved to do these interviews.

28. They are saying that initially it was much easier for her to come to London and stay at KP with him. And then they would drive to Windsor and walk around frogmore and have all this space and privacy without anyone ever noticing. So much privacy in london. Hmm.... The exact life they left behind. Weird (not!)

30. Pictures of the Halloween party, the night before the news of the relationship broke. Eugene's costume, yikes! Also, did they take permission from her to use these photos because she is a literal princess. The palace would and should protect her. (IMO)

She really did milk this opportunity and was probably acting all innocent in front of him. Because his concern seems genuine, her shock less so.

20. This episode does a good job at presenting Harry's childhood issues. And his fears. He seems self aware. And you empathise with him up to that point. But then I wonder, with all of this, how could Meghan make this whole thing about herself?? His problems are real and massive and he had so much support. And she and him, they make this all about her not being able to adjust and how unfair it was for her to leave everything behind (for all of 1.5 yrs lol).

Bettany would have a blog… I can’t picture him having any sort of presence on any other social platform, but I can see him maintaining a blog where he posts about his plants and cute pictures of Geronimo. That being said, someone definitely posted a video of him having loosing his shit at a protest against unsustainable environmental policies that was posted with the title “leftist cringe”.

Yvan would probably be an Instagram lifestyle/travel blogger. The Vistani in-world travel as a clan, so Yvan would be the type to be living a carefree lifestyle, showing how REAL hippies live without glitz, glamour, and brand deals. His page would all be pretty sunsets, beautiful beaches, and pictures of him and his family all around the world. He would also give a lot of tips on how to live good on a tight budget.

Rorali would be on pretty much every social media site. She would have an active Youtube channel, TikTok and Twitter account as well as having multiple throw away accounts on Reddit. Her content would mostly feature her tormenting her friends, not so unbiased reporting of drama, some video game playthroughs (longer story games like The Last of Us, The Walking Dead, Subnautica, and most recently Bauldur's Gate 3), what I eat in a day/week videos, outfit of the day, shopping hauls and of course a lot of videos with her gfs (holiday, vacation and anniversary vlogs). There would also be some parody apology videos somewhere on there.

Thalassia would run a YouTube or Tiktok shorts channel, put everything on private accidentally, and wonder why she gets only her own views or friends. Her videos are sporadic, 'look at this neat thing!', so there wouldn't be many viewers to begin with. But she always appreciates friends who watch them.

Constantin probably runs a purely informational fitness TikTok where he does those 'how to get (___) physique' with recommended exercises and targeted muscle groups and shit, has a twitch he streams on every now and then where he does cooking streams, focusing heavily on like, dorm meals, high protein/macros low cost/effort, healthy but still flavorful food

Tyyran would def be a music tiktoker creating parodies of songs and comedy skits. Before tiktok he was definitely a popular vine guy. He would def be in a similar comedy vein to laturtle69. lmao.

Instagram: Another Rant

Instagram is making me angry, once again! What a surprise!

The last rant I posted about Instagram was due to their new update (you know... the absolutely revolting one). Thankfully, I can now report that I am officially out of the test group! Yay! It was really difficult to use IG with that last update, and I've found myself using it a lot more since they took me out of the test group. I don't know for sure if that means that update was canned or not... or if the full release is just delayed. For them to cancel the new update, that would involve actually listening to their users, which we know IG has not done once since they were bought out by Meta. I left quite a few comments about the new update on that one reel that Mosseri posted about the update, much like many other people. It was almost comforting to see that other people had the same thoughts about it as I did, and I wasn't just being picky.

Anyways, this rant is not about that update! It's about the everything else that IG is doing!

Firstly, the algorithm has been so broken lately, and I feel it has just gotten worse and worse in the past couple weeks. My engagement has been so horribly low, even though I've been following some growth strategies. I was looking at some numbers from my post analytics, and my views genuinely haven't been this low since I had my account on private a few years ago. It's really disheartening when you put a lot of work into your IG posts and not even all of your followers end up seeing them.

The post that made me really aware of this recently was my Eddie Munson cosplay post. I really felt that it would do well, but it is in the lower range of posts I've made in the past few years. I thought it would perform really well because: 1. It's super relevant. Everyone is talking about Stranger Things right now! I posted it a couple days before Vol. 2 came out, knowing it was a super hot topic to post about. 2. I worked really hard on the pictures! I edited the backdrop to look more professional than some of my other posts. 3. They were really nice pics! I really loved them!

So you can understand why I was confused when this post only got half of the engagement that many of my posts did in 2020! Looking through the analytics, my post only reached 155 accounts, when I have nearly 400 followers. I know that's not horrible, but it's much worse than it has been lately. Out of those 155 accounts reached, only 21 of them were non-followers.

Comparing this to my most liked photo, my "princess of the castle" pictures from March 2021, it is really sad. That image reached 481 accounts. Keep in mind that I also had fewer followers back then. Now you see what I mean when my reach is super low now? That post had 298 views from non-followers... in comparison to Eddie's 21. That really shows you how little they share your work anymore. Of course, this image I'm comparing it to is some of my best work, and probably the portraits I'm most proud of, but those numbers really shouldn't have dropped that much, especially when I have gained more followers since then.

The new algorithm is so hard for me to get a grasp on. I know they are really prioritizing reels over photos, but at the same time I know people have also been complaining that their reel views are down. So what gives? It seems that IG is only prioritizing a super select number of posts (all reels), and just showing them to everyone. It's becoming increasingly more difficult for small accounts to grow and get noticed, which is super discouraging. It's also annoying from a IG viewer standpoint, because I feel my viewing experience is becoming less and less curated. Rather, IG is just pushing whatever random reels they want on me, whether or not I engage with that type of content. I mean... the sheer number of slime videos they keep showing me. I. DO. NOT. WANT. THEM.

That was longer than I planned to rant about the algorithm... oh well. I still have other problems with IG I want to talk about! Many, actually, but I'll limit myself for brevity's sake.

Instagram no longer gives me access to the "Add Yours" story feature which is really upsetting. They are such a good way to participate in a fun trend and reach some new accounts, and they just don't let me do it anymore. I noticed this yesterday when I tried to participate in one that said "Cosplayers jump in", which would have been a perfect opportunity to share some cosplay pics on stories. When I tried to click on the add yours button, it would just jump to the next story, as if the button wasn't even there. I tried to use add yours from a few different peoples' stories, and it wouldn't let me click any of them. I then went into my stories to try to make my own and the option is no longer there.

This is particularly frustrating because when I google how to fix this issue, all I find is articles telling me that it might not be available in my country, or that my app is outdated. I know neither of these things are true because I've used them before! I've both created my own and used other peoples' "add yours" before (with no hassle, might I add). There doesn't seem to be any fix or explanation to this. First the algorithm stops you from growing your account, then they stop you from participating in alternative methods of account growth. Suspicious.

Also, I know that it is not just my phone being weird because I have access to the create an "add yours" option when I sign in on a different account! I had to make an IG story for my employer's account today with an "add yours", and I did it on my phone just fine. But then when I switch back over to my account the option disappears. Grumble grumble. I have submitted a support request about this, but odds are they won't see it.

Another issue I've been having with Instagram is about one specific hashtag. I'm the founder of the UVIC Cosplay Club, and we have our own hashtag for our members to use to share pictures from our events and meetups! It is #uviccosplayclub! It is a really nice way to look through our club's activities, and it is great to show people who are thinking about joining the club, so they can see what it's all about. That is, it was nice until the hashtag broke a while ago. Now when I click on it, I can only see 7 posts. There should be way more than that. None of mine show up in the hashtag, and one of my friends only has one of their pictures on it, even though they've tagged about 5 pictures with our tag. This is super frustrating, because we need it to show other students what we do in our club since we don't have a website at the moment. I tried looking both on mobile and desktop, and it looks the same on both. I've also tried looking at it while signed in on different accounts, but nothing. Again, I submitted a support request about this, but I really doubt it'll go anywhere.

I've also been having an issue with things being removed and reporting things, but I simply don't have the energy to get into that right now. Just know it's equally as frustrating, if not more. All that being said, Instagram is still making it really hard to like using it. Tumblr always feels like getting a warm hug after being on the cold, unforgiving plane of existence that is Instagram.

Teen Mom Family Reunion viewers (all dozen or so of them) had a lot to say about Cheyenne Floyd‘s treatment toward Mackenzie McKee during the last two episodes of the MTV show and, on Wednesday, Cheyenne hopped on Instagram to address whether or not it was the show’s editing that made her seem like a “bully” and a “mean girl” to Mackenzie.

Cheyenne stated that she didn’t feel like the show’s editing made her look angry, and that she was, indeed, mad when Mackenzie showed up to the cast’s house in Colombia.

“It is a TV show, and I think editing and the music and, like, the back-and-forth panning of the cameras all play a part in the perception of how things happened. But, at the end of the day, looking at it, and seeing my personal reactions, I would say I wasn’t necessarily nice [to Mackenzie],” she said.

“I think I was still in a really angry place,” she continued. “As much as I wanted to think in my head that I was mature and over it, I don’t think I was. I think seeing her that night– the first night— and the energy she had towards me, just automatically made me shut down again.

“I don’t think the show portrayed it any different than it happened.”

As fans of the long-in-the-tooth show know, Mackenzie and Cheyenne had a very public fallout in 2021, after Mackenzie (who was, at the time, appearing with Chey on Teen Mom OG) shared on her private Facebook page that she disapproved on the newly elected Vice President Kamala Harris. She called the VP a “colored woman,” and was seemingly unaware that she used a racially offensive term.

Mackenzie apologized publicly, and called Cheyenne to apologize as well, but said additional things in that conversation that offended Cheyenne. That led Cheyenne to tweet about “ignorance,” low-key shading Mack. On a previous episode of ‘Family Reunion,’ Cheyenne claimed that her fight with Mackenzie caused fans to harass her and her family at home and at their jobs. (You can read all about it here.)

Anyway, on Wednesday, Cheyenne admitted that the show’s editors did add in a few things to make the tension feel even heavier than it was between her and Mack.

“I do think that the daunting music, and then the panning of, like, going from her face to my face [made it look worse],” she said. “…My face, it tells everything. I don’t have to say how I feel, my face will tell you.

“I definitely think you have to watch the season to see how it all plays out…we definitely went a little while without speaking. We definitely talked,” she said.

Viewers watched one of those conversations go down during Wednesday’s episode. Mackenzie attempted to have a one-on-one talk with Cheyenne about what went down, only to be met with some very chilly vibes— and words— from a sunbathing Cheyenne.

During the scene, Mackenzie seems to be taking accountability for what happened, but Cheyenne brushes her off. Cheyenne then tells some of the other cast members that she thinks Mackenzie is lying about certain things.

On Instagram on Wednesday, Cheyenne admitted that she and Mack both struggled when Mackenzie first arrived at the house, and stated that she played off the vibes that Mackenzie brought into the house toward her.

“As far as answering if we’re good now, I think you just have to watch it to see how it plays out. It wasn’t easy for either one of us,” she said. 

Mackenzie also addressed the situation during an Instagram Q&A posted after the episode aired. She was asked how she felt when she walked into the house and started filming again for the first time in years.

“It was one of those moments where I felt like, because of my mistake, there was no right way,” Mackenzie wrote. “If I walked right in and hugged everyone, that may come off like I feel like I did nothing wrong and wanted to sweep it under the rug. Or what if people didn’t want me hugging them, that’s crossing body boundaries.

“Watching it, I do wish I was more of my bubbly self,” she continued. “But it was evident that they were not too excited I was there.”

Some fans, however, struck out at Cheyenne on Twitter for being a “mean girl” to Mackenzie when she was trying to apologize. “So Cheyenne should never forgive MacKenzie? Never is a little drastic,” one person wrote. “Move on. Cheyenne isn’t the friendliest of the group either.”

“Cheyenne is being so rude to Mackenzie. Mackenzie is trying to be mature and apologize but of course Cheyenne has to be a bitch. Cheyenne needs to go,” someone else wrote.
