I'm physically unable to get past Dean and Cas' argument in s8 ep22, when Dean says "Because you didn't trust me? You didn't trust me."
Like excuse me. Excuse. Me. The emphasis with which Dean says "me" the second time- it makes the whole line so much more emotional because you can tell that Dean sees Cas and him as something more than friends (whether platonic besties or involved romantically) and how much it hurts him that he feels Cas disregarded that, but Dean doesn't take the time to listen to what Cas' point of view was.
Their main main main issue as a duo is communication. If Dean hadn't already made an assumption as to why Cas ran with the tablet, he'd immediately forgive him. If Cas had talked to Dean (or even Sam) any multitude of times throughout the show Dean and Sam would immediately try to help/lessen his burden.
Not gonna lie, (and this is NOT Cas slander I love him so much) the show would be like 7 or 8 seasons shorter if Cas didn't have such a crippling desperation to fix mistakes/"repent". Because of this need, Cas is manipulated over and over again and each time makes more and more mistakes he feels the need to fix alone, because he can't bear to ask the brothers to help him (because they have so much going on themselves).

Hazbin Hotel/Supernatural crossover!!!
Alastor is transported to the Supernatural universe and causes mayhem. Kind of like Crowley, Alastor is an enemy and sometimes ally with the Winchesters. Alastor has been stuck in the SPN for years (depending how long you want make it) and now the Hazbin crew were able to find him. However, in the HH universe he’s only been missing for about a month.
Lucifer and Vaggie are instantly aggressive towards Castial because angels are protective and possessive of members of their flock. And since Cas is also an Angel, he’s seen as a rival. Lucifer more so when he can smell Castial’s scent on Alastor just by being in close proximity. Think when you come home and your dog or cat smell another dog or cat on you. Cas doesn’t take it personally because he feels the same way whenever the other Angels are near Sam and Dean.
Sam and Lucifer are awkward whenever they are in the same room together. Sam cause his universe’s Lucifer possessed his body and tortured him soul when they were both trapped in hell. So it’s weird to see a version of that Lucifer look so short and similar to a clown. Lucifer for some reason he can’t explain, has this strange urge to psychologically torment Sam.
Overall everyone gets along so well and Alastor has been wanting to return back to hell and rejoin everyone. Before they leave, the Winchester gives Charlie a list of all the atrocities Alastor has committed during his time in their universe.
Basic synopsis in case anyone hasn’t seen or heard of Supernatural. Two brothers go on a road trip as they hunt for monsters, ghosts and demons.

I feel like I've said this already but they just didn't make Dean the way fanfic authors do—and in the context of destiel, it's him trying to work through the anger, it's finding peace within himself and killing the storm always raging in his veins, it's reciprocating Cas' soft touch outside of him dying on Dean. It is Cas readily forgiving most of Dean's mistakes and Dean doing his damnedest to be worthy anyways. Because listen.
Listen.
I am one half a Deangirl I will gladly spend my last days tinhatting and nerding out about the nuances of his character—but come on, he has crimes that should not have been skimmed over (ahem S9 Steve arc ahem S15 divorce arc ahem Mary's death ahem) that I know within my soul he would feel absolutely shitty about, post Cas confession. He may have done everything for love but he was also an asshole for a lot of it and they should ‼️ be‼️ able‼️ to‼️ work on that‼️‼️‼️‼️
And I'm not talking about Dean coddling Cas or whatever, I'm talking about Dean working past his issues to let himself have soft things and fully connect with someone. Healthy communication, healthy relationships, health coping mechanisms—that shivering wet cat of a man deserved therapy (news flash: they all did) and that kind of healing.
And that's something fanfic authors just understand better than the big name execs or whoever deemed it climactic to end Dean's story by dying.

my take on sam & destiel is that I think sam does Not know they are in love with each other he’s just like y’know. my brother has many issues and was raised by our dad so of course he is weirdly attached to cas. and cas is an angel whose fall into humanity was kickstarted by dean And his social circle is mostly limited to them so of course he is weirdly attached to dean. But. crucial. I think unconsciously to himself he Does mentally put cas into a sort of dean’s wife slot. like every time cas and dean fight and/or cas disappears it affects the whole household (sam) through dean. like if dean drove down to sam’s house to sulk and sleep on his couch only they already live and work together most of the time so sam can’t escape. he does feel like he is affected by his brother’s divorce he just doesn’t spin this out into a realization that his brother is Literally going through a divorce or widowhood
