Although I prefer Kaoru, Hikaru will always have a place in my heart

aaaand I feel like I’ve posted a lot about Hikaru today...

So here we go!

On any given day, doesn’t matter where he’s going, who he’s with, and what he’s doing, if you check Hikaru’s pockets you will always find with 1) his phone 2) his wallet 3) a pen for some odd reason 4) earbuds when he doesn’t have his headphones 5) his Gameboy Advance SP 

Despite having his wallet on him at all times, Hikaru never carries any form of money on him. He has memorized the 16-digit number, expiration date, and CVC code on his credit card and makes purchases that way

He prefers cats over dogs bc he too would sleep for 17 hrs a day if he could and hates people only sometimes

Growing up with parents who worked all the time and were away a lot, Hikaru never really got any kind of version of “the talk” from his parents and boy was puberty a wild fucking ride. 

Like most boys around his age, he became curious about certain things and google became his friend. He learned to clear his search history really quick after his father asked him about a recent search he had. That was awkward.

He has seen every episode of Digimon and will always say the original Adventure is the best. Kaoru makes fun of him for it.

Has played every game for The Legend of Zelda

One time Kaoru walked in on him drinking hot salsa from a bowl with a long bendy straw. To this day, neither of them had spoken of this instance

Is actually somewhat afraid of the dark

I only listed some but honestly I could probably come up with a shit ton more on the spot. The twins are fun to write for and I really enjoy analyzing their characters and coming up with hcs for them. I hope you enjoyed these! Thanks for the ask!

I had one more on this list originally, but it ventures in to the “character having special needs/disability” and I wasn’t sure how people in the fandom would react to that one... so if anyone is curious I went into detail on it on Wattpad in a hc called “a different type of headcanon”

I’m really happy with how it came out, especially the background. I wasn’t originally going to give it a background but I got an idea and rolled with it! Now Kaoru struggles to keep his brother from making the biggest mistake of his life -Marrying someone he doesn't even know-, but proven to be impossible by himself. He's ready to ask for help from the friends they left behind.

Review (Contains Spoilers):

This story is basically Kaoru scheming behind Hikaru’s back in order to call off Hikaru’s wedding with another woman even though he still has strong feelings towards Haruhi even after 6 year post high school graduation. Hikaru is obviously pissed because he not only was unable to confess his feelings for Haruhi so long ago but that there is obvious tension between he and the rest of the host club. Kaoru has only a few months to create enough friction that the wedding would be called off for good. And he is going to use Haruhi and the host club to accomplish his goals.

Things That I Loved:

THE DRESS! THE DRESS! THE DRESS! I loved the back story behind the dress! That was so clever!! It had me screeching with delight to see that whole thing play out. Not only do we learn about Vennesa’s body type but how she compares to Haruhi.

Even though everyone is grown they guys still give Haruhi so much respect. See Haruhi standing in front of them without pants or a bra on scene.

Things I Didn’t Care For:

That it was let at the point it was left at. There are little hints of actions building up between Haruhi and Hikaru & Hikaru and Tamaki. Without resolution it feels a little sad being left with just the little hints.

Favorite Lines or Quotes From Story:

“We barely got back from America three days ago, you’d think that during that fourteen hour flight of playing eye-spy you could have told me you were still in contact with everyone.”-Haruhi

Huni fidgeted. “Haru-chan, you’re not wearing any pants…”

Would I Read Again?

Yes, but only if it was finished. There are some cute/funny parts throughout the 7 written chapters but because it is unfinished I would probably lean more towards a longer/completed story. I want to explore the tension between Tamaki and Hikaru. I would also want a little bit more back story as to why nobody really communicated with the twins since they moved to Italy. It’s a nice light read if you are interested in something that doesn’t have a whole lot of hard hitting drama.
