Stars of Hope
Pairing: Kwon Soonyoung x female reader
World: The Broken Moon
Genre: fluff / royal au
Warnings: an injury talked about briefly
Prompt: “Make a wish.”
Word count: 1930
Tumblr media
“Make a wish.”
Looking around the lavish ball before you, everything seemed to come to a standstill at your father’s words. They weren’t anything magical, in fact, you had heard the King proclaim them affectionately for each birthday you had celebrated. Tonight, however, the three words felt like a desperate lifeline.
You took in the faces of the noble men and women in attendance. Their dresses and suits were a rainbow of vibrant colours. The lights that danced in the sconces and chandeliers made the expansive room look as if it were full of stars. For a moment, you imagined the night sky instead, the endless opportunities it seemed to possess. Anyone could look to the heavens and see the same sky above despite their status.
You swallowed slowly. There was nothing that held your interest here. No one who you wanted to dance with. And certainly, the heat coming from the man at your side was not the one you would ever waste a wish upon – unless it was to remove him.
There was nothing particularly bad about Prince Rufus. No, he was acceptably charming and handsome. He had adequate education and could hold a conversation without turning pretentious or dull.
Yet his face wasn’t the one you saw in your dreams. He didn’t smell of a hard day’s work, nor did his hands possess callouses. There weren’t stray bits of hay or animal fur linting his suits, and his eyes weren’t dark at all but like shards of ice.
Oh, how they weren’t the eyes that led to the soul you loved.
With another blink, the frozen state of the party seemed to click back into play, hushed anticipation of your birthday wish on the tip of everyone’s tongue. Would you wish for another great harvest that would line the pockets of the kingdom’s wealthy? Would you wish for bountiful babes to be born and enrich the future? Or would you wish for a healthy union with the prince of the neighbouring kingdom at your side?
Everyone wanted to know.
And yet, the only thought that crossed your mind made tears threaten to water your eyes. Once upon a time, there was a princess miserable in her castle walls.
The angst of that night many moons ago still crippled your heart.
“Princess?” your father prompted, his jovial smile faltering. “You’re delaying your wish, my dear.”
“I wish,” you started shakily, blinking several times to compose yourself. “I wish…”
I wish I was free.
I wish I woke up in the arms of a man who sleeps in a hayloft.
I wish I hadn’t broken his heart and mine.
I wish for a fairy-tale ending after all.
Your cowardice haunted you even on your birthday. How many full moons had you wept upon from your balcony now?
“I wish,” you said more strongly, the words bursting from you before you could stop them. “For love to conquer all.”
The hesitance before the claps of your people wasn’t missed by you, but you had already turned on your heel, moving out of the spotlight and towards the large double doors that led away from the fray. Gathering up your skirts, your heels clacked upon the marble floors, the only sound of your departure.
It was a fool’s game you were playing now. But you had to leave, had to right your wrongs, had to—
“I dare say this hasty retreat feels cumbersome, princess,” a voice called after you, and you skidded to a stop, casting your eyes to a pair sizing you up. Rufus circled you, a frown creasing his forehead. It was as if he were seeing you for the first time, and he didn’t quite like what he saw. “Where on earth are you going? Are you feeling faint, betrothed? You have yet to eat some cake.”
“I have no appetite for such excessiveness,” you announced, looking him square in the eye. The coldness of his gaze didn’t hurt as much as you thought it would when you finally defied him. “I must go.”
“Where?”
“Anywhere that doesn’t require me to stand in place and smile at people I have no interest in serving.”
“How selfish of you.”
“Indeed. I’m a very selfish being,” you agreed, starting to climb the grand staircase before you. “I’m the absolute worst kind of princess. I’d make a horrible wife and a pathetic queen too.”
“Are you trying to make me dislike you because you’re doing a grand job of it. What has gotten into you, princess? You’re far too mild in temperament for such a display of—”
“Of what?” you cut in, spinning around, and dropping your dress. You cocked your head and felt your tiara upon your head slip to the side. Yanking it out of your hair, you shook it repeatedly. “You want this, do you not? Well, here. Take it. I don’t want it.”
“I was promised a princess. Not just a crown.”
“I’m merely a girl shackled by a sparkly headcollar,” you responded, throwing it down the stairs and stomping your way up them to your bedroom. It didn’t take you long to change and gather your worldly possessions. For someone who could have anything, all you cared about fitted into one bag. And since the loss of your mother some years ago, there wasn’t even someone to farewell on your departure.
No one followed you as you left the castle. There was no one searching for a missing princess from her own birthday party, no less. You knew no such scene would occur tonight, not with so many people in the palace. As you dashed across the moors, your lungs filled with the night air and a smile graced your lips. Even if Soonyoung hadn’t waited for you, tonight marked your eighteenth birthday – your first night as an adult. You would make your own future somehow.
You would control your destiny.
Despite the lack of moonlight, you knew the way to his family farm. You had avoided coming near it all this time, so when you saw the red barn in the distance, a sob rose in your chest, and your legs pumped faster. You slipped through the pasture gate and onto the property as you had many times before, not even hesitating to creak open the barn doors.
“Who’s there?” called out a voice, and you froze. It wasn’t the one you hoped to greet you at all. Had you been too blind in your grief for Soonyoung to assume he’d wait for you too? The love you had seen shining in his eyes and had tasted upon your lips in that kiss was genuine, was it not? That was why he had been so angry with you when you refuted his feelings all because of status. You had been a coward that night and broken you both.
Had you learned your lesson too late and lost him to another woman?
“I say, who’s there?” the female called again, and you sighed, stepping forward. You would face this regardless of what fate held for you.
“I don’t mean to intrude,” you announced, and a groan left another person in response. That, you did recognise, and without another thought, you climbed up to the hayloft, assessing the situation before you. “Soonyoung, I—”
“Who are you to address my brother?” the girl demanded, arms folded over her chest and blocking your sight of the man behind her. You hated the rush of relief that surged through your veins at her being one of the many siblings Soonyoung possessed. Yet the next groan from the man had you dashing across the rickety wooden floor, dropping down beside the pile of hay that Soonyoung slept upon so his younger siblings could share the bed in the house.
“What’s happened?”
Soonyoung was grimacing, but he suddenly grew still. “Y/N?”
“Attacked in the woods by a wolf he was. Papa told him to not chase down the pigs, but this nitwit went off to save their hides. Good lot of use it is having them back now with you this injured, brother.”
“I can get a healer to him,” you said, surveying the large wound on his torso in horror, getting back to your feet to leave in haste. A hand reached out and gripped your ankle.
“Don’t.”
“I can’t have you die on me!”
His sister started to laugh. “Oh, Miss. He won’t die. It’s merely a flesh wound. He’s just a baby about these things.”
“It looks ghastly!” you informed them both, unsure if you should believe his sister at all and not fetch help.
The girl, however, gave you a once over. “You weren’t here for the summer he got rot on—”
“Soomi, stop,” Soonyoung pleaded and shook his head. “I need you to go get more boiled water. Y/N will help me for a moment.”
Soomi eyed you both before nodding and slipping back out of the barn. It was silent between you for a moment as you eyed the exposed body before you. Soonyoung’s gaze was upon your face, and you knew you needed to meet it, but you were overwhelmed by seeing him again.
Almost all of him too, it seemed, considering the blush staining your cheeks.
“There’s no moon tonight,” he finally stated, and you looked up just in time to find him glancing out the hayloft’s window.
“There’s a sky full of stars, however,” you offered, and Soonyoung turned back to you. This time you met his gaze. “Make a wish.”
“On a star?”
“I made one earlier,” you said, your hands moving towards the cloths at his side and then dipping one into the water in the bowl next to his torso. Wringing it out, you tentatively placed it to the injury.
“What did you wish for?”
“Love to conquer all,” you whispered, darting your focus to where you were pressing into his wound.
A calloused hand cupped your chin and extracted it away from your chest so he could catch your eyes again. Soonyoung searched them for an immeasurable moment, hope rising within his warm brown gaze. It made your heart thud faster, erasing the cold look he had shone upon you in the field last time. “You mean that?”
“Of course. I wished for it in front of all those present at my birthday party. And those wishes usually come—”
Lips pressed into yours, and you didn’t hesitate to kiss them back, releasing all the months of pain and loss upon them. As the embrace grew deeper, the rebuilding of hope for the future overtook the weaker feelings, hands gripping onto each other until Soonyoung hissed against your mouth.
“Oh! You’re injured. We need to be careful.”
“The pain I feel now isn’t anything like that you inflicted upon me, princess.”
“Y/N,” you corrected and pointed to your empty head. “See. No crown.”
Soonyoung’s eyes widened. “You ran away?”
“Well, just temporarily. I realised when I got here that to escape the title I am burdened by that I’ll have to return to officially give it up.”
“For a peasant farmer’s son?”
“For the love of my life.”
Soonyoung smiled. “You sound so sure of that.”
“Why, am I not right about you? Have I wasted a wish?”
Looking to the night sky, Soonyoung closed his eyes and clasped his hands for a moment. He then turned back to you and shook his head. A smile, as bright as the stars behind him, lit up his face. “I think you just started to rewrite our story.”

As someone whose life revolved around sugar, butter, and flour, this was a new world. The tension in the air is palpable and the flurry of activity is so different from the kind of rush you’re used to. You’re nearly tripping over your feet trying to catch up to the member of the staff who's been sent to assist you. This must be so out of their scope of work, it's almost embarrassing how clueless you are to all of this.
It’s been three years since you started dating Soonyoung, and while you’ve never missed one of his shows in Seoul, this is your first time attending one of his rehearsals. He’s notorious for being laser focused and demanding of his team, making sure everyone remembered their collective goal of an amazing show. You never wanted to get in the way of that or to be considered a distraction.
In fact, that’s always how you’ve operated as his girlfriend. You understand where you stand, what your role is, and when it’s time to work, you will stand back and let him shine.
But when you make it to the front of the stage, taking a seat close to Soonyoung’s managers after giving them a friendly smile, you can’t help the wave of pride that comes over you as you take everything in. The stage is massive, the largest Soonyoung’s ever had, and over thirty dancers are on stage with him as he adjusts the blocking and tweaks steps.
Then he catches your eye.
His eyes disappear as he smiles and you can’t help but do the same. You fight off the urge to wave, wanting him to get back to what he’s doing knowing full well they have limited time to go over everything before resting for the evening. You can’t take your eyes off him though. Preparations for concerts usually take him away from you for weeks at a time, and with the scale of this one, you hadn’t seen each other in the flesh for a month.
Just seeing him in front of you now already makes you feel sated.
“Can we do another run of the new song with the pair choreo. We just want to see which works better,” the director calls from the tech booth.
“Nari-ssi, please come up. Everyone else, take 5,” the choreographer on stage with them calls into her mic.
Soonyoung had mentioned he was debuting a new song at the concert. It was something he and Jihoon had worked on last minute that he couldn’t stop talking about, wanting to drop hints but also saying he wanted it to be a surprise for when you would see it at the show. He had dropped the topic dead a few weeks ago.
Nari bounds up the stage with a glorious spring in her step, bare faced but glowing. Her practice clothes fit her like a glove and her overall vibe gives off the energy that she herself was an idol.
That ugly feeling starts to simmer in your stomach as what you suppose is the song starts to play. The intro is slow and sultry and the sweat in your palms starts to grow uncomfortable. Only an idiot wouldn’t understand the sensuality of this song from the get go.
The love of your life is standing right there but you can’t take your eyes off of Nari as she finds her blocking before the verse starts. Nari smiles at Soonyoung and makes a comment you can’t hear from your seat. You feel sick.
Soonyoung and Nari are facing each other with one of his hands on her chin, lifting her gaze to him. His other hand is resting on her slender hip and in a three count from their choreographer, they move in unison.
“Three, four, five, ‘oh baby, cause I’ da, da da!”
The MR only covers the backing vocals but still you know that’s Soonyoung’s crooning and matched with the way his and Nari’s hands and bodies move, you’re transfixed. Horribly.
You avert your eyes, unable to focus and try to play it off as replying to an urgent message, but you’re startled when you hear a loud “SOONYOUNG FOCUS!”
Your head flies up to find Soonyoung staring you down from the stage, eyebrows furrowed and looking, dare you say, nervous.
“We need to see how this is actually going to look like tomorrow, so please let’s put more effort into this. Poor Nari’s giving it her all, Nyoung-ah.”
Soonyoung tries to communicate with you wordlessly but your unwillingness to keep eye contact makes it difficult for Soonyoung to get whatever it is across.
The music plays back again and they return to their starting positions and you know he’s turned it On.
The look on his face, the focus in his eyes. This is what he looks like when he’s locked in, and when his body starts to move, everything falls away.
But Nari.
They move seamlessly, sensually, and just Right. She matches every beat, wave, and touch he gives her. And gives back that same sultry energy with a flick of her wrist, dip of her hip, and when she leans her head back on his shoulder, allowing him to move her body to the music.
You could never move like that. You could never fit in his arms like that.
The song ends and the dancers around them hoot and jeer and Nari blushes as she and Soonyoung finally break their grazes, breathless.
They would never cheer for you like that.
Tumblr media
This has never gotten to you this badly. Usually, the distance between the two of you allows you to compose yourself when things get muddled in your head, able to piece yourself together when the fear and insecurity claw up your throat. But your usual proximity is nonexistent and the gap has been closed.
Being with an internationally acclaimed artist meant busy schedules and only being able to squeeze in the littlest dates every now and then. You had time to prepare for those, give yourself the pep talk of It’s been three years. If he wanted you gone, he’d have said something by now.
In preparation for the show you two had made prior plans you would stay with him, an impromptu long weekend “getaway” you had put in at work almost 3 months ago. But now it feels like you’re trapped. You’ve been short with him since his rehearsals wrapped and you’d met up with him in his private dressing room. You could only stomach to say surface level good jobs and you’re always so amazing!
There’s no way he hasn’t picked up on it yet because the air in the car was nonexistent. It was stifling and you could feel the waves of anger simmering underneath Soonyoung’s skin, just waiting to burst forth the moment the two of you were alone.
He knew something was wrong. He always knew.
The ride up the elevator to his unit felt like the longest and shortest elevator ride of both of your lives and the second Soonyoung had let you into his place and locked the door behind him, you wanted to cry.
“Can we finally talk about this?” He starts.
“What?”
“Babe.”
“Soonyoung.”
“Are we really doing this?” He sighs, exasperated.
You feel bad. But the sadness is gnawing at your head and heart and neither are working correctly.
“We’re not ‘doing’ anything, Soonyoung.” You say as you toe off your shoes and put down your bag before facing him.
And what a glorious face it is. He’s always been the most handsome man you’ve ever seen. He looks best like this, you think. Soft and free of makeup and tired and home.
“I’m sorry,” you start, face beginning to crumple and the sting of hot fresh tears threaten to spill.
“No, no, no, baby. Come on, come here,” Soonyoung’s scrambling to pull you into his arms, “Hey, hey, shhh. Look at me, talk to me.”
He pulls her face into his hands and tries to lift her gaze towards him. But she fights and tries to keep her head down.
“Baby, you have to talk to me, okay? You have to talk to me and tell me what I did wrong, hmm?” He respects your refusal to look at him and instead hugs your head to his chest, resting his chin atop the crown of your head.
Soonyoung wraps his other hand around your shoulders and maneuvers the two of you to lay on the couch, You’re still sobbing, large tears falling from your eyes and dampening the shirt he’s wearing.
When he moves to lay down on one of your favorite spots to cuddle in his home, you freeze in his arms, sobs stopping and shoulders going rigid. You push yourself off of him, hands going up to brush the tears off the face.
“No, no, I’m too heavy, I'll crush you.” It is almost business-like how you snap back into this cold tone.
Soonyoung stops, sits up straight, “What are you talking about?”
You groan, “Soonyoung, I don’t want to get into it. Please, you’ve had a long day, tomorrow is going to be—“
“No,” he cuts you off, “We don’t get to talk about tomorrow until we talk about today. Until we talk about what’s going on right now.”
“Soonyoung—I just. I don’t know how to talk about this. I’m just blowing things out of proportion. It’s nothing, I swea—“
“It isn’t nothing, though, is it?” He says, softer now. He reaches up for your hand, “You’re upset. You’ve been upset since I saw you after rehearsals. We have to talk about this, baby. We promised each other we’d talk things through.”
Your eyes sting again, a fresh batch of tears ready and threatening to make their appearance. That sharp feeling in your nose is there, any second now.
“Tell me how I can make it better, baby.”
The dam breaks and you fall boneless into Soonyoung’s embrace. You straddle his lap and wraps your arms around him, pressing the two of you chest to chest.
You bury you face in Soonyoung’s neck and let out a shuddering sob.
“I’m sorry, I’m being so, so immature and so unreasonable. You didn’t do anything,” you say, still slightly unintelligible from the tears.
“You’ve never done anything that’s made me sad or angry, Soonyoung. It’s me, it’s me and my stupid brain.”
“Hey, hey, no. Please please don’t say that, hmm? Let’s work this out together,” Soonyoung coos.
“I-i-i just felt so horrible, Soonyoung!” You finally cry, “She looked so beautiful and perfect and just so RIGHT in your arms and God, the way you two moved and how everyone watched the two of you.”
Soonyoung pulls away, grasping you face in his hands and finally locking eyes with you.
“I know I said I’m okay keeping this a secret and keeping everything simple and under wraps, and it’s fine! I promise, it really isn’t that.”
“Then what is it, baby?”
You’re quiet for a bit as Soonyoung traces the path of your tears with his thumbs, wiping them away.
“I’ll never be able to do what she can. Nari. I’ll never look like her or act like her or move like her. I can’t even dance with you without looking like a fool.”
Soonyoung feels his heart sink. His own eyes start to grow bleary and when he blinks a tear falls to his cheek. He drops his head to your chest and breathes you in.
“I’m sorry—“
“Oh no, Soonyoung it isn’t yo—“
“I’m sorry that things have gotten this far that you’ve grown to feel that way. I’m sorry because I know in some way or form all of this has become that and I didn’t catch it.”
When he lifts his head, tear tracks mark his pretty face and his nose is red.
“But you have to know,” he starts, eyes very serious, and not daring to look away from you, “You have to know that you are everything. You are everything to me. You’re even more than that.”
“And we are going to dance. Oh we are going to dance all the time. I am going to dance with you in the kitchen when we’re waiting for focaccia to bake, we are going to dance in the bedroom when we change the sheets, and we are going to dance when I marry you. And everyone will have their eyes on you and they will clap and cheer because just look at the woman I love.”
“Soonyoung—“
He stands with a start and you instinctively wrap your arms around him, elbows hooking over his shoulders. His hands are under your thighs, fingers pressing into the soft flesh. He’s carrying you into his room.
The lights automatically flicker on as he enters and kicks the door closed behind you, “In fact, baby, why don’t we start now hmm?”
“What, start what?”
He grins and any semblance of sadness has vanished from his face. He smiles and something in your heart is elated.
“Dancing, of course.”
Tumblr media
Soonyoung is known in the industry as an ace — able to sing, rap, compose, choreograph, and above all things, dance. And dance with you he does.
The way he can make your body move is unexplainable because once he placed you at the center of his bed, he’d strummed at your body, mouthed at your pulse and had gotten you out of your top and jeans before you could even fully comprehend.
His mouth is hot on yours and he breathes in your air as soon as you exhale and you’re growing lightheaded as his hands continue to undress you. In an attempt to get some air in both your lungs, he pulls away to frantically tear his shirt over his head, not daring to take his eyes off you. He flings it over his shoulder unceremoniously, not a care in the world where it lands and makes quick work of his sweatpants.
“What, you thought you’d get lucky tonight?” You quip at him, “Even when you knew I was feeling tilted?
He’d gone commando.
“Good mood, bad mood, whatever the fuck mood, I want you,” he laughs as dives back in to kiss you.
His hands are everywhere, like he doesn’t know what and where to touch, wanting to feel you everywhere before settling on the thickness of your thighs. He spreads your legs slightly so he could slot himself in between them, cock pressed perfectly to your center.
And then he grinds. The head of his cock nudges perfectly at your clothed clit and you let out a mewl.
“There you go, let me hear you,” he groans into your ear, “Y’sound so good for me, sweetheart.”
“Soonyoooouung,” you can’t control the drawn out moan of his name. After everything you’re pent up and everything feels too much already.
He lets his mouth trail wet, open mouthed kisses from your jaw to your neck as his hands busy themselves undoing the hook of your bra. He scrambles to get it off of you and immediately pulls one nipple in his mouth, nipping and soothing it with a slow lave of his tongue.
He grips your other breast in his palm and squeezes, biting his lip at how your flesh molds to his touch.
“Fuck your tits are fucking perfect.”
This man was groping and grinding against you, and you blush as he compliments your breasts.
He continues kissing down the valley between your breasts and you hold your breath as he starts pressing his lips onto your stomach. It dips and springs back as he moves and your eyes zero in on the deeper colored lines of your stretch marks. There are more on your thighs to match.
But he makes no comment.
He instead groans whenever he stops to suck a bruise and to run his tongue over the mark he’s made.
“You’re so,” he starts, almost breathless, “You’re everything.” He laughs at his own inarticulate thoughts before hooking his thumbs into the elastic of your underwear.
He pulls them off and moves back up to press a deep kiss to your mouth, “I want to make you come three times, love.”
“What?” You’re dazed.
His right hand moves down to trace your ass and hook under your knee so he can spread you open.
“First, I’m going to fuck you open on my fingers,” he breathes, “then when you’re nice and wet and open for me, I want you to sit on my face, alright?”
With all his talk distracting you, you’re suddenly startled when you feel his thumb on your lower lips, starting to spread you apart.
“Then when you’ve come all over my face, I’m going to fuck my come into you, just how you like it. Right, baby?”
He slips in two fingers into you with no warning and you keen, high and wanton and uncontrollable.
Soonyoung is rough and quick when he fingers you and no matter how slow and sensual the lovemaking is, this will always be fast, hard, and messy.
While one hand is busy pumping two fingers into you, the other pinches your clit and quickly rubs, wanting your first orgasm to come as quickly as possible.
Your lower lip is close to bleeding as you try to keep your voice down but Soonyoung only chuckles when he sees your attempts at restraint.
“Baby we’re soundproofed in here. Make all the noise you want.”
You want to slap at his chest playfully at least, get him to feel some semblance of shame, but just as you try to make some quick remark, his fingers brush that spot inside of you and he presses down hard.
You’re unable to hold in the scream that rips through your throat as his arm flexes and he roughly thrusts his fingers in and out of you.
You clench your eyes shut as you finally let him have your first release. It’s almost explosive and you spill messily all over his fingers and arm, his other hand making a bigger mess, spraying drops of your release letting them fly further.
Breathing comes hard but he’s already pulling out of you and moving your body around until you’re on your knees.
Soonyoung lays on his back and tugs at your hands to grip at his headboard, “Fuck I’ve wanted this for so long.”
“Soonyoung, what if—“
“If you want to stop, we’ll stop. Just say the word,” he says, propping himself up with his elbow.
“You have to do the same,” you say shakily, still trying to get your bearings after the mind blowing first orgasm.
“Unlikely, but you know I’ll tell you everything, love.”
And just like that he lays back again, looking more eager than you could have ever imagined. You kneel over his chest and slowly inch upwards before lowering yourself over his mouth.
Soonyoung’s always loved eating you out. He loves when sex is wet and messy and loud. He loves the taste of you and making so much noise while he’s pressed up against your pussy it almost seems like he’s the one getting release.
Every flex and curl of his tongue has you whimpering and you can’t help the way you throw your head back as his nose nudges at your clit, still sensitive from your first orgasm.
He coaxes this second one slower but it hits you just as strongly as he continues to mouth at your core even when you’re crying and shaking from the sensitivity. You almost topple off the bed as you climb off Soonyoung to lay back next to him on the bed.
You turn your head to Soonyoung and the entirety of his lower face is wet with your release and your face burns. But Soonyoung is aglow with arousal and just so much love.
He coaxes your mouth to meet his own and it is a reprieve from how quickly he moved for you to reach your high twice in such a short period of time.
You can taste yourself on his mouth but it makes you groan as his tongue pushes its way to mingle with your own.
Despite the desperation at which you both moved, this is slow and quiet. Just you lips moving against each other and the sheets rustling fills the space.
Soonyoung pushes himself off the bed cautiously, desperate to keep his lips on you as he positions himself between your thighs.
Just like that a switch flips and the urgency to have him starts once more. He pressed his cock against your entrance and let the underside slide against your wet cunt. It offers you little relief, the friction hardly enough to get you there.
He pulls away and brings one hand to your face as the other holds him over your body.
Soonyoung’s hooded lids and glazed eyes are a sight to behold. His hair is damp and the shorter strands that frame his face are plastered onto his forehead. There’s a bead of sweat that’s clinging to the cut of his jaw and you ache to press your mouth to it.
His thumb traces the curve of your cheek, the plumpness of your lower lip, and slowly he’s pressing the finger between your teeth. You press your tongue against the pad of his thumb and wrap your lips around the finger, and suck.
God, I love this man. I will always only love this man.
“I love you,” he gasps as he finally presses in and sinks into you.
Any other day and it would be embarrassing how close you both are to the edge, but you both know that his evening was far from normal. Your heart is hammering in your chest so hard you feel like it’ll rip itself out of its confines. Everything feels too good and too much and you want it. You want this every single day if you could.
Soonyoung sits up and uses both hands to grip onto your hips and to brace himself. What he does next makes your head spin.
“I’m so close, baby. You gotta say it.” He stands on his knees, changing the angle slightly. Then he lifts your hips just right and the noise you let out as his cock sinks into you perfectly is completely pitiful.
“Say it.”
“Soonyoung!” you cry out. It’s a sob, really. Depraved, almost, in the desperation and the raw fucking feeling thats burning through your nerves.
“Just say it baby, you know the words. Say it and I’ll make good on the very last fucking promise I made tonight,” he says, the edge in his voice making itself known. He wanted to make this evening soft, slow, and for every movement to have meaning. But he has always been hungry.
Hungry for the stage, bigger venues, brighter lights, more challenging steps, and of course for you.
He breathes in through his nose sharply and tries to exhale slowly and paced, “Just say it baby, I know you can.”
“You’re mine.”
“That’s it. I’m yours. I’ll always be yours.”
The years of precise practice and this industry expertise has made the man you love into the most exquisite lover.
He thrusts quick and deep and the undulations of his hips have you seeing stars and tearing up once more. He’s everywhere, in your eyes, head, lungs, heart and you’ll be damned if you ever let him go.
The insecurities and the problems and the people will always be there, they will always cause uncertainties but this is one thing you will always be sure of. You will always be sure of him.
Soonyoung comes with a cry of your name and the most beautiful gasp against your mouth as he pumps you full of his cum, pushing you over the edge and he swallows the cry you let out.
He pulls away to press breathless kisses against your face and any other part of you he can get his lips on mumbling, “I’m yours, I’m yours. I’ll always only be yours.”
Tumblr media
It starts slowly, warm, and comfortable. The rustling of the sheets and the hot wet press of his mouth slowly coaxing you into that soft space of barely awake, but able to slip back to sleep if you stayed quiet enough.
“I gotta go, baby,” is Soonyoung’s whisper, cheek resting atop your head.
You hum in response, not fully coherent to put together words after he’d pulled endless strings of moans and cries from your lips the night prior.
He presses a kiss to your hair, “Didn’t want to leave without saying goodbye. I’ll see you tonight, gorgeous.”
You feel the way the bed dips and the blankets move as he goes to stand. He slips on his shoes and, unable to leave so easily, moves back towards the bed and kneels by where your head rests on a pillow.
“I love you, think about what I said last night, okay?”
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You tried to keep yourself collected, keep the frantic energy sizzling in your veins at bay. Soonyoung had put on the show of his life, something that happens just a few times in a performer’s life, you’re sure. Pride had swelled so grandly in your heart. You had been so lovestruck watching him that it felt like he could see you whenever he had turned his head in your general direction.
Backstage is still abuzz from the end of the show. You’re sure people are still running around making sure the egress goes smoothly, that all the fans are able to exit the stadium safely. But everything comes second the moment you hear his voice.
“Has she been escorted from her se—“
You can’t help it. You’re so happy, so excited, and so in love with him. You’re running toward him. He’s changed out of his encore outfit and into a sweater—oversized the way he likes them— and sweatpants. He could slip into bed any second now it looks like.
“Soonyoung!” You call out, stealing his attention.
He turns to you and the most breathtaking smile spreads on his face and you throw yourself into his arms. He catches you and you wrap your legs around his slender waist.
“It was amazing, you’re so amazing. Congratulations, oh my god!” You’re blabbing, you can feel your mouth going a million miles an hour but you can’t stop.
You pull him into a crushing hug as he gently puts your feet back on the ground, keeping your arms around his neck.
“And that new song, Jesus you weren’t kidding, it’s so good and the choreo! The way you moved! You changed the choreo last minu—“ In a split second, his lips are on yours and you can’t help but smile against him.
You break away, breathless when you remember, “Soonyoung, everyone can see.”
He gives you a silly quizzical look, “Only thinking about that now and not when you jumped into my arms?”
You’re speechless. He’s right.
“I’d be happy if everyone knew,” Soonyoung says simply and pulls you in again for another kiss.
When you pull away, you suck in a large breath and say, “Okay.”
There’s a small smile that he can’t hide as he asks, “Okay…? To what, exactly?”
You blush and bury your head in his chest. You want to while, he’s so annoying.
“To everything. To everything you said last night,” you mumble into his chest, trying to muster enough confidence to keep going.
“Okay, I’ll move in with you. Okay, I’ll tell all my friends about you. Okay, let’s make us public.”

seventeen - competition
jeonghan x reader
word count : 2,667
-
you were taking a break from training and sat on one of the couches in the living room. with your phone in hand, you were scrolling through social media and saw some posts about other e-sports teams appear on your screen; most of them announcing which teams were going to appear at a competition scheduled for next week in tokyo.
"oh my god! y/n! did you hear?" dino frantically exclaimed. you looked over and saw him make a dash towards you from his desk. "look at this!" he instructed while shoving his phone screen into your view.
you grabbed his phone and looked at what he had on his screen: an online article with the title "#1 in south korea, team fts, announces their participation in the summer sundown festival happening in tokyo, japan next week as a last minute entry."
you sighed, "i'm gonna kill him," you immediately said, staring at dino's phone screen in disbelief. you started scrolling through the article, reading the most important parts before sending the article to your phone.
"did he not tell you?" dino asked, sinking into the couch cushion next to you.
"no, he didn't," you sighed again. "you wanna tell joshua, or should i?" you asked dino as you handed his phone back to him.
"if you wanna call jeonghan, i can go tell coach," dino replied. you nodded in agreement.
both of you got up from the couch and walked in separate directions. dino headed to your coach, who was with the rest of your team while you went onto the balcony of the house you lived in. you closed the door behind you and called jeonghan.
once he answered, you heard him immediately chuckle, "i was wondering when you were gonna call me. this was sooner than i expected."
"i just saw the article. dino just showed it to me," you replied, "what happened to the competition here?" you asked him, crossing one arm across your torso.
"the organizers are horrible. we're playing against people in the league below us, so it's clearly rigged," he explained before sighing, "it's kind of a mess though. we'll be training longer cause of the teams in tokyo."
"hey, jeonghan hyung, come on."
"i'll be downstairs in a minute. start talking with the others about the new thing," jeonghan said to the person that just called for him. it sounded like the8, but you weren’t sure.
"who was that?" you asked.
"oh, it was the8,” he confirmed. “hey, call me when you're done. i gotta go," he said to you.
you hummed in response, "i will.”
"love you."
"you wish i loved you."
"hey, don't do this—"
you hung up, laughing at what you did before receiving a text message from jeonghan, who was upset. you texted him back before going inside.
"y/n, is it true?" jun asked you as you closed the door behind you.
you nodded, "yea, just confirmed it with him."
mingyu groaned and sat back in his chair, "you have got to be kidding me."
"tonight, you guys need to go through their battles from the last competition," joshua said to everyone else. "we'll need to start planning tomorrow morning. let's just go through what we have right now."
"sounds good," vernon spoke up, putting his headphones on.
you walked to your seat that was next to dino's before loading the game up on your computer screen.
-
days later and you were in japan. you spent the first day walking around and exploring since the day after was the day of the gaming festival.
"woah, this place is nice," dino said as you guys were taken to your team's designated waiting room.
as everyone set their things down, you opened a bottle of water and started drinking from it.
"please let a staff member know if you need anything," the staff member who was with you said before leaving the room, closing the door behind them.
"who's playing the first round again?" mingyu asked before vernon handed him his phone. "oh, thanks."
"i'm gonna grab some more waters for us," you said to everyone.
"don't take too long. we need to watch all of the matches," jun said to you.
"i won't. it'll only take a second," you replied and set your own water down. you left the waiting room and went down the hall to find an area with snacks and drinks.
"do you need something?" a staff member asked you when they noticed you.
"just some waters, please," you requested. "can i just get a whole case actually?" you asked.
they nodded, "of course."
another staff member grabbed a case of water and handed it to you.
"thank you," you replied and managed to pick the case up. you started walking back to the waiting room and saw familiar faces being guided to their waiting room.
"y/n!" dk immediately yelled as he noticed you first.
"oh, hi," you greeted as jeonghan approached you.
"need some help?" he asked you.
"no."
"you do? okay," he said and took the case of water from your hands.
"jeonghan, we need to go," s.coups said to him.
"jeonghan, i'm fine," you said and tried to take the case from him.
"i'll be back in a second," jeonghan said to them before walking away from his team.
you sighed and looked at their captain, "sorry."
s.coups laughed, "it's fine. see you later.”
"see you later," you smiled before following jeonghan down the hall. "yoon jeonghan, you're going the wrong way."
you caught up to him as he looked at you, "can we take a detour so i can be with you longer? i haven't gotten to see you in like two weeks."
you rolled your eyes, "no. i have battles to watch, and you have a team to coach," you said to him and started walking in the direction to the waiting room. once you got there, you opened the door for jeonghan, "put it on the table and leave."
"you're so mean to your boyfriend," jeonghan pouted as he did what was instructed. the guys looked at him as he walked in.
"oh, jeonghan. nice to see you," joshua greeted. the two coaches greeted each other with a handshake.
"y/n, isn't there a rule about fraternizing with the enemy at competitions?" mingyu asked you.
"you're just saying that cause he's here," you replied before grabbing jeonghan and pushing him out of the room. "bye."
"wanna get dinner later?" jeonghan asked as he stood in the hallway, holding the door open despite you trying to close it.
"maybe. bye," you said and closed the door on him before locking it.
"you know, jeonghan's right. you are being mean to him," jun said to you.
"can we not? we have a competition to win," you said to your captain and crossed your arms.
-
"that battle was way too long," vernon complained as you and your team walked back into the waiting room. you had just won against one of the teams from japan.
"seriously," mingyu said and grabbed a bag of chips from the table.
"y/n, is your hand okay?" jun asked you as you grabbed your brace for your wrist from your backpack.
"it's fine. i just tweaked it during the last raid," you said and took your jacket off to cool off. you put the brace on and sat down next to dino on a couch.
"it's already bothering you? will you be okay for the rest of the competition? we have three more battles for sure and two more if we make it all the way to the finals," dino asked in concern.
"i have to be fine. who else are we gonna get to substitute for me?" you replied.
"i mean, there was that time i tried playing as two people."
"dino, you died in an instant."
-
"and here we have it. the long awaited battle between south korea's fts and south korea's sector:17. both of them are strong teams within the e-sports community. don't you agree, hoshi?" one of the commentators spoke.
"i definitely agree with you on that, seungkwan. both of these teams are powerful within the community. fts is definitely the top team in this community, so it'll be interesting to see how sector:17 overcomes this later today," the other commenter said. "let's look at the stats of both teams and see what could happen in this final battle."
"hoshi knows stuff about the game?" vernon questioned as he sat down with a snack in his hand.
"guess woozi finally taught him some stuff," you replied while massaging your wrist.
"hey, you guys feel good?" joshua asked as he walked into the room. "here's coffee," he said, handing you a cup.
"thanks," you replied, "do you think they're going to use that new strategy today?" you asked.
"probably. they probably want to wear us out with it for the first part," vernon replied.
"hey, vernon, go wake up everyone else. they need to eat before we leave," joshua instructed. vernon nodded and got up while joshua took his spot on the couch next to you. "have you talked to jeonghan?" he asked you.
"not really. didn't want to get in trouble with the league," you replied, "just that date we went on the other night."
"according to s.coups, he's been more irritating," joshua mentioned, "you should see him before the competition starts."
you shrugged, "maybe. i just don't want to get distracted either."
"understandable," joshua replied to you, "but you know how he gets, which means all of them are probably annoyed at him for sulking."
"they'll get over it. they always do," you replied and looked over when you heard someone walk into the room. "good morning, sleeping beauty," you said to mingyu as he headed to the table.
"i'm handsome, thank you," mingyu sarcastically replied as he grabbed a coffee cup off of the table. "thanks, shua."
"no problem," joshua replied. "eat a bit more. don't want to get too hungry later," he said to you before getting up and heading into the hall, "guys! wake up!"
-
a few hours later, and you're about to leave for the last battle between your team and fts. you took your brace off your wrist and put it back in your backpack.
"you good, y/n?" jun asked you. you nodded and walked over to everyone, who were waiting by the door. "let's go," he said and dino opened the door for everyone.
a staff member guided all of you to the entrance to the stage. you waited until someone instructed you to go on stage.
you walked onto the stage following jun; the others following behind you. fans were cheering everywhere from the audience. you walked to where the computers were set up, seeing the game loaded up on screen. you sat down in your seat and got ready to play.
"okay, let's do this!" mingyu yelled into his microphone.
"hey! not too loud. you're gonna blow my ears out, and then i won't be able to use these headphones anymore," dino whined at your teammate.
you looked over to your side and saw the other team getting ready. wonwoo looked over at you, as if he sensed you looking at him. he looked back at jeonghan, who also looked over at you. he gave you a smile, and you gave him a smile back before looking at the computer screen.
"alright guys," joshua said to all of you, "let's use the new strategy for the first round."
"got it."
"okay."
-
after two matches, the score was one-to-one. you were in the last match, waiting to get resurrected after dying to one of woozi's attack.
"okay, push through!" jun yelled.
"mingyu, come here," vernon instructed.
mingyu groaned, "shit. i died," he huffed out. "y/n, can you cover him?" he asked you.
"hang on, five more seconds and i'll follow," you said as you watched the screen.
"i got one down!" dino exclaimed.
"okay, i'm back," you announced to your team, "i'm coming to you, vernon. hold off if you can."
"i'm almost out of health," vernon mentioned.
"dino, i'm coming to you. use your shield," jun instructed.
"you got it."
you continued moving and reached vernon, who had barely any health left. you killed a few monsters that were on the screen and then you saw s.coups's character appear on the screen.
"shoot, i don't know where the8 went," vernon mentioned. "mingyu, are you back?" he asked as you started attacking s.coups's character.
"yep, i am. coming towards you," mingyu replied.
"all of them are by us. y/n, come here," jun said and you started moving again. you found jun and dino's characters and started attacking the8 and dk with dino while jun fought woozi.
"need backup?" vernon asked.
"we're fine. stay there," jun immediately replied. "come on...yes! okay, woozi's down."
"the8's down," dino said, "so is dk."
"s.coups and wonwoo are retreating. should we follow?" you asked, looking at the map.
"yea, keep going. mingyu, vernon, push through and get to us," jun instructed.
"we're coming," mingyu said.
you followed jun with dino behind, killing any monsters that appeared on screen. eventually, you reached the base and started attacking s.coups and wonwoo while dino was dealing with the base. a few seconds later, and mingyu joined you and jun. vernon helped dino with the base.
"they're resurrecting in twenty seconds," dino mentioned while attacking the base as quickly as possible.
"come on, come on. use your attack, y/n. our health is fine," jun instructed you. you used your character's special attack, which lowered everyone's health around you. then, you started hitting wonwoo's character and killed him quickly since his health was quite low.
"wonwoo's out," you announced.
"the base is almost down," vernon mentioned.
"we have fourteen seconds until they're back," you said, glancing at the top of the screen. "hurry."
"my health is low. mingyu, help," jun said.
"hang on."
"ten, nine, eight..." you started counting off while attacking s.coups, "seven, six, five, four-"
"we destroyed it!" dino yelled out.
"okay, finish all of them off," jun instructed right as mingyu killed s.coups.
the rest of the characters came back to life and you started attacking dk. eventually, wonwoo's character came back as well and your team killed off all of them.
"yes!"
the crowd had been cheering the whole time but you didn’t notice how loud they were until your team won. you got up from your chair and hugged dino, who was the closest to you before hugging everyone else.
you and your team started doing your victory ritual of jumping in a circle and singing a song. joshua joined in after being backstage since the beginning of the match.
after celebrating, your team went to the center of the stage where the other team was.
"you guys did good," s.coups said to jun.
"not bad yourself," jun replied.
"hey, wonwoo, let's play together some time," mingyu said to wonwoo.
"oh sure. that'd be great," wonwoo said to mingyu.
"y/n! you did great!" dk said to you.
"yea, seriously. during the second round? that was crazy," woozi said to you.
"i'm glad we won that round. i was scared there for a bit," you said to them with a laugh.
then, you were pulled away by someone and turned to see jeonghan.
"good job." you felt him kiss your forehead.
"you're just saying that to be nice to me," you said to him while wrapping your arms around him.
"i am nice, unlike you," he said as he put his arms around you, "and don't forget, we won the last competition."
you rolled your eyes, "you're annoying, you know that?"
"i know i am,” he admitted. “congratulations," he said to you before kissing your lips.
confetti continued to fall, the crowd kept cheering, and you felt like the best in the world.

Chapter 3 - The Gift of Honesty
Tumblr media
The sandwich shop, much like the café on campus, was always bustling with college life. Even on weekends, students found themselves comforted by the quick grab-and-go nature of the sandwich shop so they could keep focusing on studying or activities. You were sitting around a table with your friends, all munching on your own lunches as the world continued to move around you. Hoshi and Seungkwan were talking about something involving one of their classes, while Minnie was examining and trying to fix a broken nail she had, a slight pout on her face. You leaned towards her, watching as she did so.
“It’s about time I get new nails. Want to come next time? It’s been a while. We can go for your birthday!” You smiled, nodding your head.
“Sure.” You said. “That sounds fun!”
“What does?” Hoshi asked, leaning forward. He watched as Minnie wiggled her fingers in his face. “Aaaah. I’ll come get my nails done!”
“You so will not! It’s going to be a girl’s day.” Minnie frowned. “Besides, you’ll probably just get all your nails with a picture of tigers or something.” Hoshi’s eyes basically sparkled at the idea, and Minnie groaned. “See?”
“What? I think it would look so cool!” He argued, but Minnie only stuck her tongue out at him. He pouted, crossing his arms and leaning back in his chair. As Seungkwan tried to encourage his friend that ‘yes, Hyung, tiger nails would 100% suit you.” You looked down at your phone. Mingyu had replied to that one comment about Hoshi’s spam messages, but had gone radio silent since.
I bet whatever he’s doing, he’s very busy. You told yourself as if you needed to convince yourself. He said he would call me later….
It seemed the rest of the group had the same idea about their friend, Seungkwan being the first to speak up. “So, who wants to place bets as to what the actual hell Mingyu-Hyung is doing in Japan?”
“Do you think that rumor is true?” Minnie asked.
“I know his dad’s been pretty strict on some of his after-school schedules recently.” Hoshi pointed out. “He wasn’t able to come with me to a movie a few weeks ago. He said he had to attend an important dinner.”
“A blind date?” Seungkwan’s eyes widened. “No way.”
Minnie looked at you, watching as you popped a chip into your mouth. “That might explain why he looked upset when you brought up the idea of having a girlfriend.”
“You think?” you asked curiously. Minnie nodded. “I don’t know. I feel bad gossiping about him without him being here.”
“Well, when he doesn’t tell us stuff like this, what are we supposed to do?” Seungkwan shrugged. “It’s like when Hoshi-Hyung totally had that secret boyfriend freshman year, and he basically forgot we existed.” You saw Hoshi’s cheeks turn pink and he turned to the sly grinning friend to his left. You could immediately sense Hoshi’s demeanor change just slightly.
“And I told you that is absolutely not what happened. We were friends, that’s it.”
“Oh yeah, totally.” Seungkwan said, feigning belief at Hoshi’s claims. “That’s why you don’t speak about him anymore. Because you didn’t break up.” Hoshi pouted, and you and Minnie had to chuckle a bit. You remembered that time all too well; two years ago, when Hoshi constantly going to meet a new friend he had yet to introduce you to. Similar to now with Mingyu, you guys all played detective and tried to figure out who exactly had Hoshi so excited that he would basically run off campus once a week to see the guy, the only time during the week the entire friend group was able to meet up last term. It caused a bit of tension, and you worried that it would reshape itself with this new scenario.
All we have to do is get you two together.
Joshua’s voice, gentle as it was this morning, flooded back into your mind, and you set your half-eaten sandwich down. How could I possibly help two angels re-enter heaven just by ending up with Mingyu? You thought to yourself. What can they even do? They can’t force him to fall in love with me. This is all silly. It’s only a matter of time before-.
            Snap.
Your eyes shot up, and you saw Seungkwan leaning forward, fingers close to your eyelids as he readied them again. Snap.
            “Hey!” you gasped.
“Come back to us.” He begged playfully, smiling. “You were zoning out again.”
“I was not.” You said. “Also, rude. How would you like it if someone just leaned over and-.” Leaning forward, you extended your fingers to Seungkwan and snap, snap, snap, snap. Seungkwan laughed a bit at the muffling of the sound through your cleaned bandages. He wasted no time, sticking his fingers back to yours and returning the playful snapping in your direction. You couldn’t help but hold back a smile.
“And I thought nothing could get more childish than Hoshi.” Minnie said in amusement, and Hoshi snickered in agreement.
“…Wait, hey.” He looked at her, just realizing what she meant as she laughed.
As you leaned back in your seat, you crossed your arms confidently. It felt like you had won the contest that suddenly broke out at your table, falling into a confident grin.
            …Well…
Suddenly, you felt two sets of hands on your shoulders, which startled both you and your friends. Immediately, people at the surrounding tables began whispering about the hot men that seemed to simply materialize When you turned your head, your eyes widened.
“What’s wrong?!” Joshua asked, clearly panicked. “You seemed to be snapping so quickly. Did something happen?” You watched both of them look around the area, trying to see what clues they could find.
“Wha- What are you talking about….?” Your voice trailed off then, and you looked down at your fingers.
Just snap anytime you need us, and we’ll be there.
            “Oh, God.” You sighed.
“Where?” Joshua and Jeonghan asked in unison, eyes continuing to dart every which way.
“Where did they come from?” Hoshi asked, looking around the nearby area.
“Better question. Who are they?” Seungkwan asked. The both of them took a seat on either side of you, causing Minnie and Hoshi to scoot their seats to the side for more room at the little table. The shop was still bustling at the two attractive men sitting either side of you. They were almost angelic. You rolled your eyes as the few girls behind you whispered among themselves if they wanted to ask either for their numbers.
The frantic racing of your brain forced you to come up with a response quickly. “We met recently.” You said. That seemed to answer absolutely zero questions, and your friends simply stared at you in hopes you’d provide more information. “Uh, well-.”
“We’re friends.” Joshua said, leaning forward. “New friends.”
Jeonghan added to that. “Well, we’ve just transferred here. She’s been showing us around and getting us adjusted. She’s been a big help.”
That seemed to work. Slightly. “That sounds about right.” Seungkwan said. “I’m Seungkwan.”
“Hoshi~.” Hoshi beamed. When Seungkwan nudged him playfully, Hoshi grinned. “That’s my nickname. I’m Soonyoung.” He added. You watched as Minnie leaned forward, smiling sweetly at Joshua. You could sense her intimidating glance at the two strangers before her. When he caught her gaze, however, he offered her an equally kind smile.
            “I’m Minnie.” She said.
“Is that a nickname too?” Joshua asked. Minnie smiled.
“Yeah.” She smiled. “I’m from Thailand. I’ve had the nickname for a long time.” You watched Joshua nodded as Minnie continued to speak. “What are you guys majoring in?”
“Law.” You blurted out, stunned by your quick response as the boys both turned to look at you. You closed your eyes, exhaling a bit. Fuck.
“Law? Oh, so you’ll meet our other friend, Mingyu.” Seungkwan smiled.
“…Oh, will we?” You could feel Jeonghan’s smirk as he asked that question and you didn’t want to open your eyes. When you finally did, you saw your friends looking at you with a very intense set of expressions. You laughed nervously. It felt as if you were suddenly being interrogated, yet you had no idea what for.
“…Why don’t you go buy something?” you asked, motioning to the counter. “If you’re planning on joining us.”
“Come with us. I don’t know what to order.” Jeonghan begged. His playful desperation made you sigh. Then he added: “Back me up, Joshua.”
Joshua wasted no time joining him as he also leaned close to you. “I forgot how to read.” He said with absolute seriousness in his voice. You only knew it was a joke because Jeonghan began to laugh.
You immediately stood up. “You both are unreal.” You said, before walking over to the counter. Joshua and Jeonghan waved to your friends, before quickly following right behind you, like puppies being dragged by a leash. Minnie, Hoshi and Seungkwan shared look between one another until you all were far enough away.
            “What the hell?” Minnie asked.
            “I know. What just happened?”
“Where did they come from?” Hoshi asked again, yet nobody really knew how to answer.
At the counter, you looked at both boys as they approached you. “I can see why you both got cast out of heaven. You’re the most unangelic duo I’ve ever met.”
“Harsh.” Jeonghan gasped, a grin continued to remain plastered on his face. “You’re the one that called us here.”
“I didn’t-.” you stopped yourself, unsure of how you would prove you didn’t when in fact you did. “Fine, but I don’t need you. So, you guys actually can go.”
“Well, isn’t it important we meet your friends?” Joshua asked curiously. “If we’re going to help you, we should get to know the people you hang out with.”
“I-.” you again felt yourself unable to finish a complete sentence. “How are my friends supposed to help?” You finally asked.
“You never know.” Jeonghan said. “We’ve seen crazier. Trust me.”
You looked up at the menu, crossing your arms as the trio waited your turn. The last thing you wanted was for any drama to arise if these two stuck themselves within your friend group. Especially when Mingyu came back. Looking down at your hands, you chewed the inside of your lip. I don’t think I really have a choice. You thought to yourself. Turning your head, you looked at the boys once again, who were leaned close together and trying to decide what they wanted to eat.
“I thought you said you couldn’t read.” You said to Joshua. He glanced over to you. Sheepishly, he smiled and let out a playful chuckle.
“Oops.” He shrugged. You couldn’t help but smile a bit as you turned your head.
“I know it’s basically guaranteed because of our ‘contract’ or whatever but, when he comes back, the first thing I want to do is introduce you to Mingyu. He’s really nice.”
            “When does he come back?”
As you took a minute to recall the answer, you remembered something. “…I don’t know.” You said. “He said he didn’t want to miss school but he never said when he was coming back. At least, not to me.”
“Oh.” Joshua said. “Well. I’m sure he’ll have to come back at some point.”
“I guess so.” you said. “He promised he’d be back. Mingyu doesn’t break promises.” The men watched as you turned back to the menu, hands clasped behind your back in a tight balled up fist. “’He’ll have to come back.” You looked back at them. “He’s going to bring me a present.”
“A present?” Joshua asked curiously. You nodded, practically beaming at the thought.
“Whenever Mingyu goes on a trip, he brings me a gift. When he went to America our freshman year, he brought me back a really cute snow globe with the Statue of Liberty inside. When he went to England, he got me a little music box with Big Ben inside.”  You smiled. “In Hong Kong, he brought me back a lantern wind chime and -.” She you continued rattling off the gifts that littered your apartment, Joshua couldn’t help but smile at you. He listened closely, nodding his head. He had visited a lot of these places, quick flashes darting through his mind as you rattled off Paris, Australia, Singapore, every luxury vacation spot known through the world. “I haven’t gotten anything from Japan yet.” You smiled. “He said the cherry blossom festivals are happening all over this time of year.”
“Oh, those are so pretty.” Joshua beamed. You nodded.
“I’ve never seen them.” As you heard the server call the next customer, you stepped forward. Joshua was trying to study your expression the best he could when Jeonghan nudged him. He looked over, and Jeonghan grinned. “I have an idea.”
            “What?” Joshua asked.
“Let’s go on a trip.” Both you and Joshua now looked at him, waiting for more information.
“…Right now?” Joshua asked. Jeonghan nodded. “Where?”
“Japan, silly.” He said. “If we can’t do anything until we see the guy anyway, let’s go see the guy.” He motioned to you. “Besides, it’ll give her enough time to try to answer all of her friend’s questions.”
“Questions? You think they don’t believe us?” You asked curiously.
“Oh, they don’t believe you.” Jeonghan said quickly. You looked at Joshua for some support, and he only nodded in agreement with Jeonghan.
“Your eyes were shaking and you kept stuttering. It’s clear you’re not a good liar.” Joshua seemed almost sympathetic at the fact. Your face heated up in frustrated, but the men simply turned back to one another and began to chat. Jeonghan looked at you one more time.
“Do you have a picture of him?” he asked. You lifted up your phone, scrolling through your photos until you pulled up a recent photo of Mingyu and Hoshi, posing ridiculously in front of one of the college buildings during Halloween. “He’s tall.”
“Yeah.” You said. “My neck hurts just looking at him sometimes.” You smiled as you turned the picture back to yourself. Jeonghan and Joshua looked at one another as you were called to the counter. You approached, greeting the worker once again. When he asked what you wanted, you turned towards Joshua and Jeonghan, expecting them to finally be ready to order.
They were at the table, shaking the men’s hands and nodding at Minnie as they said their goodbyes and how they were looking forward to being good friends going forward. Your friends seemed to have whiplash at how quickly they were leaving, but still said their polite goodbyes. You watched them hurry out of the shop, some of the girls in the area disappointed as they vanished behind the walls and out of sight.
“Oh my-.” You turned to the worker, giving a sheepish and apologetic smile. “Never mind.”

Mingyu rested against the balcony of his hotel room, drink in hand as he admired the Japanese scenery in front of him. Immediately, when he got back to the hotel, Mingyu ditched the tight suit and slacks for a pair of jeans and a white tank top. He threw on his shoes, and stepped out of his room once again, patting the pocket his wallet and keys were in. He looked at the bodyguard his father had sent along with him to ‘keep him safe’. Mingyu knew he was there to just report back honestly to his father.
“Take me shopping, please. I need to buy something.” He requested.
The duo made their way into town, shops lining every street in Tokyo. Mingyu was quick to go on the search for the perfect gift. He had promised you, after all. Mingyu walked down one of the streets, eyeing each and every window to see what each store was selling. There were clothing stores, toy stores, book stores. All kinds of stores. Where would he find the best gift for you? It was like finding a needle in a very large, incredibly bustling haystack. As Mingyu stopped at a local, family-owned knickknack business, he slowed his pace, and decided to head inside. The building smelt of coffee grinds and old newspaper, a very vintage yet comforting feeling of someone who had been working in this place since the walls were wooden boards. An older man greeted Mingyu from his spot at the counter, not looking up as he continued to work on something on his lap. Mingyu looked around, walking past a few rows of carved wooden figurines and over to a large display in the back of the store. As he walked, focused on the items around him, he missed the gaze of two individuals. Thinking that the only view on him was his bodyguard, Mingyu simply brushed off that tingling feeling down his arms. Chilly in here. He thought.
Jeonghan and Joshua poked their heads out from behind the aisles of wooden figurines and display boxes, watching as Mingyu finally stopped walking and turned to look at the displays on one of the walls. “I wonder what he’s doing…” Joshua whispered. “I don’t see a girl with him.”
“That doesn’t mean anything.” Jeonghan assured. “He could be out buying something for her right now.”
“I hope not. It’ll be a lot harder to handle this if the rumors are true. Also, it’ll kill her. I’ll feel bad.”
Jeonghan smiled at his friend’s compassion. “I know.” He said. Jeonghan looked around for a minute, confirming that there was nobody else around who seemed to be with Mingyu. He nodded his head to the bodyguard who was standing by the door. “Unless he’s on a date with that guy.”
Joshua laughed at his friend’s joke, playfully nudging him. “Be serious.” He muttered. Just as the duo were talking, Mingyu lifted his head up and looked in their direction. Joshua and Jeonghan slithered slightly out of view as to not be caught.
“…I feel like some crazy fangirl.” Joshua said, frowning. “We should probably go.”
“What do we say when we get back?”
“That he’s not with a girl? I don’t know.” Joshua said. “But now that we’re here, this feels kind of pointless.”
“It’s important to get all the information we can to be ahead of the curve when he comes back to Korea.” Jeonghan stated. “Let’s see if he ends up buying something.” Joshua watched Mingyu began making his way to the front of the store once again, eyes pulling him to something displayed on the wall. When the angel’s followed his gaze, they saw him staring at a variety of keychains, bright and very detailed in their design. Mingyu looked over.
“Did you make these?” he asked the worker. The old man looked up, smiling. He set down his craft and approached.
“My wife.” He said. “She’s always been good at making really cute and unique keychains. Her favorite and most popular one is this one-.” He pointed to one, but they could not get a good view from where they were standing. Mingyu nodded. “See one you like? Maybe for a lucky lady?”
Mingyu let out a breathy, nervous chuckle. However, he did point to one. “That one.” He said. “I think she’ll like it.”
Both Joshua and Jeonghan immediately looked at one another, the vagueness of Mingyu’s response to the old clerk immediately filling them with dread. They could only stand by and watch, pretending to act busy admiring the things around them as Mingyu passed by, taking the keychain and setting it down to pay for it. Joshua and Jeonghan made sure to wait, listening as Mingyu thanked the worker and headed towards the door.
“I have to make a few more stops, then we can head back to the hotel.” His bodyguard agreed, and the duo exited, a loud ‘Have a nice day!’ from the worker. Joshua and Jeonghan looked at one another.
“What do we do? Should we still follow?” Joshua asked, uncertain.
“I have no idea. Would you buy a gift for another girl when you’re engaged?” Jeonghan asked. Joshua shook his head. “Neither would I.”
“She said he always buys her gifts. So, there’s no way he’s buying for another girl too.” Joshua pursed his lips, rubbing his chin as he tried to think.
“I can’t believe we came all this way for nothing.” Jeonghan said.
“On the bright side, this will definitely be one of the easier things we’ve ever done. They two of them basically did all the hard work for us and now we just need to get them together.” Joshua tried to keep things positive. Jeonghan nodded.
“I say we follow him until the end of the day. Make sure he isn’t meeting someone later. Dinner is always where things get the most romantic.”
“Oh really?” Joshua rolled his eyes, an amused smile on his face as the duo exited the shop as well, acknowledging the man as he waved them off. With the bustling streets getting thicker by the minute, Joshua and Jeonghan tried to scan for the tall Korean man walking around with a bodyguard. They could see him faintly, before the duo hurried down the street in hopes to catch up with him sooner.
🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶So Close Yet So Far🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶
Mingyu ended his day laying on the hotel bed, exhausted from the day. Though his meeting had ended hours earlier, he ended up meeting some old friends for dinner, as he said he would. He was hoping he would have been able to message you and the others sooner rather than later, seeing as it was getting late. Mingyu rolled onto his side and grabbed his phone, sitting up and quickly dialing your phone number. He pressed the phone to his ear, waiting for you to answer as he picked up the room service menu and scanned it, using it to distract him from the ringing sound until he heard:
            “Hello~?”
“Hey.” He grinned, his attention now fully on you. “Sorry it took me so long to call. I ended up being busier than I thought.”
“It’s ok. I only graduated and got a full-time job at a local office while I waited to hear back from you.” Mingyu grinned a bit. He hopped off the bed and paced to the balcony.
“Oh, really?” he asked. When he heard you laugh, his smile only got a bit bigger.
“Mhm.” You said simply. However, you were quick to change the subject. It was a question Mingyu did not particularly want to hear. “How was your business stuff? You still sound tired.”
“Do I?” He asked, feeling his hand clamp shut. “Heh, I guess I am. It all went fine.” He thought back to his first meal of the day today, and what transpired.
“It’s lovely to see you again, Mingyu.” Mina smiled as she stepped into the room. Mingyu noticed her father step out, closing the door and leaving both of them alone. Mingyu nodded his head.
“You too.” He said. Without missing a beat, he pulled open the first seat he could and motioned to it. “Shall we?”
Mina smiled, walking towards her seat and sitting down, smoothing out her dress. She smiled up at him as he made sure to sit across from her. “Sorry for having you come out here so suddenly. When I told my father I wanted to see you again, I think he got a bit excited.” She laughed sheepishly. “I apologize for any trouble.”
Mingyu thought back to the dinner he had to cancel with you. However, he shook his head. “It’s alright.” He assured. As the waiter returned with a drink order and menus, the duo quietly looked at what they planned to order. Mingyu glanced up at Mina. Her delicate round eyes scanned the different items on the menu, deciding what would be the best fit for a midday brunch. Mingyu didn’t care what he wanted to eat, he most likely wouldn’t be able to stomach it all, knowing what was about to happen.
“Mingyu.” Mina said, and Mingyu looked up. She set her menu down. “How’s your father?”
            “Oh. Good.” He said.
            “Feeling better?”
“Here and there. He won’t ever admit he’s sick.” Mina laughed a bit.
“I hope he does feel better soon. He seemed to tired when he was helping my father with all of that legal trouble in our Korean branch. But he was so professional, he kept working. I admired that about him.”
“Thank you.” Mingyu said. Mina took a deep breath.
“I don’t want to beat around the bush.” She said.
            Mingyu blinked. “Neither do I.”
“Good.” She said. “You must know why I wanted to see you again, then.”
Mingyu nodded. “I have a few ideas.” Mina nodded, smiling. “And I’m sorry, but I don’t want any part of it.” The smile on Mina’s face dropped a bit.
“What?” she asked, sounding sad. “Can I ask why?”
Mingyu sighed. “I don’t want to be put into an arranged marriage.”
“Do I upset you in some way?”
“No.” Mingyu assured. “In fact, I’m hoping that despite this, we can stay friends and maybe business partners one day. I hate being this way, but my father keeps setting me up on these when he knows how I feel about it. I don’t want to hurt your feelings. I’m sorry.”
Mina paused, pondering her next response. Mingyu didn’t expect being so brutally honest so soon into the meeting. However, a part of him felt good about getting it off of his chest.
Mina leaned forward, folding her hands together and perching her chin on top. Mingyu had to admit that she was beautiful and regal, carrying herself like a noble princess. When she opened her eyes to look at him once again, a bit of hair fell in front of her eye.
“I appreciate the honesty.” She said gently. Mingyu felt a sigh of relief escape him. “I admire how you come across so thoughtful of other people and their emotions. That’s what I like about you.”
“Oh-.” Mingyu turned a bit red and smiled. “Thank you.”
“Well, I’m glad it went well.” You said once again. “We miss you here, though. A weekend feels longer when all you have to keep you occupied is Hoshi and Minnie bickering.”
Mingyu laughed. “Trust me, I’d rather listen to that than be drowning in dinners with my father’s stuffy friends.”
You laughed once again. “Well, it’s only one more day. You’ll survive. I know it.”
“Thank you.” He said. When he let a yawn slip, he groaned a bit. “Man.”
“Get some sleep, Mingyu.” You said. “You’ll be busy tomorrow sight seeing with your friends. Call me when you get the chance.”
            “Okay.”
“And send me pictures of the cherry blossoms.”
            “None of me?”
“Take a selfie.” Mingyu laughed at the suggestion.
            “Goodnight.” He said.
“Goodnight.” You repeated, before the both of you hung up. Mingyu set his phone down, walking out to his balcony. The cool night air brushed up against his skin, and he leaned forward, resting his elbows on it. He knew that only a few hours way, you were laying beside your apartment window after a long day. Were you looking out to the night sky as well? He wondered if you were staring at the same part of the sky, still so in sync despite being so far apart. Mingyu turned back towards his room, eyeing something on the couch in front of his bed. He thought back to the last question Mina had asked before he left that morning from their meeting.
If we can still be friends, like you said, do you want to hang out tomorrow?
When Mingyu’s eyes landed on the small white box wrapped up in a pink bow, he wondered if he made the right choice by saying yes.

Not(Them)Again!?
---------------------
𝐇𝐎𝐒𝐇𝐈 (호시) Imagines, One-shot
Genre : Fluff, romance
Pairing : nonidol!Hoshi x fem!reader
Warning : Cursing, pet names & Hoshi doesn't know Seventeen!
How can you be mad at your boyfriend when he's so cute and adorable even when he loves tiger more than you?
---------------------
Hoshi began sulking, trying to convince you to buy the tiger plushie he wished for while you were kindly well maybe not, firmly denying his request. Shaking your head, you facepalmed as your boyfriend kept begging you. It's not that you're mean but you already bought him a new tiger plushie and Hoshi got himself a new one which makes it two tiger plushies.
"Please Y/N. One last time. I won't ask you again, please"
"You literally said the same thing last time Soonie," you said looking so done with him.
"One last ti-" You gave him a death glare which made him shut his mouth.
"It costs 56 dollars soonie. 56 fucking dollars for a freaking tiger plushie? Oh, come on! Are you insane?!" You sighed as he pouted. You so wanna pinch his fluffy rosy cheeks but prevented yourself from doing it so.
"Ok fine, I'll let you buy it. But you need to do something in return"
"Really? What should I do? I pinky promise that I'll do anything," Hoshi brought up his pinky finger to do the pinky promise with yours while grinning ear to ear.
"Are you sure?"
"100 percent baby"
"If so, buy me Seventeen's concert VIP ticket and their merchandise"
"Not again!" Hoshi huffed in frustration. You cupped his cheeks with your palms and gave him a peck on his now-pouted lips. You chuckled and embraced him like a koala, smirking at his crimson-red face with a fake angry expression, as you made yourself comfortable on his lap.
"Don't be too jealous my boyfie. You already know that I love you more than them right? I know that you can't be mad at me for more than 5 seconds," you winked at him teasingly.
"You know me, don't you?"
"Of course duh!" you said, flashing a big smile at him making him laugh. Nothing's more promising than your boyfriend's happiness and his cute giggles, right?

Summary: Eunbyeol asks Hoshi to do her a favor.
Featuring: Seventeen’s Hoshi and Dino (mentions of Seungkwan and other members) and Lumina’s famous cookies.
(Mentions Seungkwan having a hard time but it’s not specific)
I’ve had this scenario in my head for the past week and finally got it out.  This is my first Lumina scenario. Feel free to give feedback. I hope you enjoy :)
Tumblr media
May 2023
“Wait Oppa,” Eunbyeol exclaimed with a hint of frustration. “Can you do it again slowly?” The man she directed her question to let out a laugh before he smiled brightly at her. “Of course, from the top.”
Eunbyeol has spent the last half an hour in a dance studio in the HYBE building learning the chorography for Seventeen’s ‘Super’ challenge. The members she’s doing the challenge with are Hoshi and Dino, the two performance team members were teaching her the dance. They had already done a few takes but none of them were working out. Eunbyeol kept messing up parts of the chorography, so she asked Hoshi to slow it down again. Knowing the parts she was getting wrong, Hoshi took his time going over the steps slowly for the younger girl.
“Make sure you hit it powerfully.” Said Dino as he watched to two of them going over the choreography. Eunbyeol only hummed in response as she was too focused watching Hoshi and following his movements.
“Okay?” The performance team leader turned to her after going through it a few more times. “Yeah, I think I got it now.” She gave him a thumbs up and a smile. “Great,” Dino spoke, as he got up off the ground to stand with the other two. “Let’s do this!”
They got into their positions and nodded towards the staff member, signaling they can start filming. Eunbyeol stood hiding behind Hoshi and Dino while the two of them posed. She peeked over their shoulders before pushing them apart and stepping forward to take the center position in front of them. She focused on hitting every step powerfully like Dino said and she couldn’t hide her excitement when the dance came to an end and she didn’t make any mistakes. She had the biggest smile on her face as Hoshi and Dino came closer for the ending pose, where they all raised their fingers to their foreheads in the signature gesture for the song.
After the staff member said cut, Eunbyeol jumped up and down, clapping her hands in excitement. “Oppa, I did it!” She exclaimed happily, smiling between the two older men. “Wow,” Dino complimented her, “Byeolie is a good dancer.”
The three of them huddled around the phone to watch the video. Eunbyeol giggled at the surprised expressions of the two men when she pushed them, like they didn’t know she was hiding there. While watching the video, Hoshi suddenly laughed. “How can you make our dance look so cute?”
Eunbyeol looked up at the tall man, who was smiling down at her fondly. Dino, who was standing on the other side of her burst out laughing at Hoshi’s unexpected question. “It’s true,” he agreed. “It’s cute when you do it.”
The girl only shrugged. “I just have that effect.”
After they approved the video and thanked each other for their good work it was time to go their separate ways. Eunbyeol had just grabbed her bag from the other room when she remembered something. She run to the dance studio and sighed in relief when she saw Hoshi hadn’t left yet. “Soonyoung Oppa.” she called out to him.
He turned to her with questioning eyes. “What it it Byeol?”
“Can you do me a favor?” she asked, walking towards the older idol.
“Of course. What do you need?” He said to her, with a reassuring smile.
She reached into her bag and pulled out a small plastic container filled with chocolate chip cookies. “Can you please give these to Seungkwan Oppa for me.” She said as she handed them over. “I wanted to give him something since I know he’s having a hard time.”
Hoshi’s heart melted at the young girls thoughtful gesture. He took the container in his hands with a firm nod. “Of course I will Eunbyeol.”
“Make sure he gets them. I know the other members will sniff these out.”
Hoshi laughed at her statement, knowing that the members will drool over them the moment they find out they’re Eunbyeol’s cookies. “Don’t worry, I’ll get them to him. Even if I have to fight off the members myself.” He posed like a power ranger to prove his point making the younger idol laugh at his silliness. Once he straighten up he opened his arms, inviting her in for a hug. She immediately moved to hug him, holding her arms lightly around his waist.
“Thank you Oppa.” she said from her place against his chest.
“Not a problem Byeol, and thank you. I know Seungkwan will really appreciate this.”
Later that day, Eunbyeol got a message from Seungkwan thanking her for her gift and promised he would treat her soon as a thank you. She also got a call from Hoshi telling her that he had, indeed fought off several of the members before the goods made it to their intended recipient. “It was awful,” he had told her. “but once I told them you made them especially for Seungkwan they backed off, thank God.” Eunbyeol giggled at the situation.
“But...”
“But what Oppa.”
“I told them you’d make more for us.”
“Huh?”

Things I Wanted to Include for My V3 Rewrite - Part 2
The day everyone went to the Virtual World has now come to an end. My OC is in his room getting ready for bed. Kirumi comes knocking on his door to check up on him as always. She says that Kaito is doing fine and that Maki and Ryoma are doing the training stuff themselves.
I think I wanted this scene to involve my OC explaining more to Kirumi about why he doesn’t like RPGs since he refuses to go back to the Virtual World.
After Kirumi leaves his room, I wanted a scene where Kirumi is in the computer room doing something to that giant Xbox which is basically the Virtual World.
The next morning, when everyone is having breakfast, they then go outside to discover that...
Keebo is now equipped with all his robotic stuff from Chapter 6.
You know, like the cannon arm and jet-pack? I think I wanted Keebo to say something like he’s not turning back or something. Basically, it has to do with what he learned about the flashdrive my OC gave him. Keebo then gives back the flashdrive and says that he put something on it but my OC isn’t allowed to look at it until the right time.
After Keebo shows himself off, Kirumi tells everyone to go to the computer room for a surprise. She insists that they all log in to the Virtual World. Now I wrote that Keebo has to log in while standing up. My original idea was for him to log himself in by attaching wires from the giant Xbox to himself. There’s a reason for that and I’ll explain in a later time.
Now here’s one of the twists, when they all log in to the Virtual World for a 2nd time, they discover that...
The Virtual World is now a fighting game.
Kirumi explains that she tampered with the giant Xbox last night and says that she wants my OC to be happy and try the Virtual World in a different genre, one he is more familiar with. His objective is to fight the other classmates like in an arcade mode fighting game and defeating the final boss will win him another clue about the killing game.
In terms of what the Virtual World fighting game is like, the gameplay is 2D, but I wouldn’t say it’s as basic as Street Fighter or The King of Fighters. I always imagine it as being more like the fast paced fighting games by Arc System Works (i.e. Guilty Gear, Blazblue, Persona 4 Arena). These are the order of stages my OC faces.
Stage 1: OC vs Kirumi
I wanted to give Kirumi a broomstick as a choice of weapon, like the broomstick she has in her official art. As Stage 1, Kirumi explains to my OC how to play, but my OC simply wings it and starts the fight. Once he wins, Kirumi stands down and says that she’ll now watch the rest of the game from the sidelines. Kaede and Kokichi are watching too as they don’t look like the fighter types.
Stage 2: OC vs Ryoma
Ryoma’s weapon of choice is of course his tennis racket, like the one in his official art. He explains that he might be a bit rusty since he stopped playing tennis, but I wanted my OC to try and tell him something to give his spirits up. For my fanfic, I wanted to include a side-story that involved Ryoma going on a journey to try and overcome the depression he’s been going through, that’s why Kaito wanted him as a sidekick for my fanfic.
Stage 3: OC vs Tenko
I originally wrote a scene where my OC is having a spare match with Tenko at her lab. For my fanfic, Tenko is also a character that goes on a journey of change. My OC tries to convince her that not every male is degenerate and she eventually comes to be closer to my OC. Even though Tenko loses the match, she realizes that she actually had a fun time, but says that the next time they fight, she’ll have a better chance in the real world.
Stage 4: OC vs Kaito
Not much to say about this match. Basically, after losing the match, Kaito starts to feel sick and says that he wants to rest. So he logs out of the Virtual World and goes back to his room. I’ll just say that in my fanfic, Kaito’s illness gets worse and starts dying at a faster rate.
Stage 5: OC vs Korekiyo
After the match, Korekiyo becomes impressed by the ninja-like fighting style the Virtual World gave him, but he eventually says that he too wants to log out now that he lost the match.
Stage 6: OC vs Maki
In my fanfic, nobody but my OC knows that Maki is the Ultimate Assassin. The Virtual World fighting game however has Maki with an assassin-like fighting style and showcases her with weapons like knives and crossbows. My OC gets worried and tries to act like he doesn’t know anything. Maki is unimpressed with the fighting game and logs out too.
Final Stage: OC vs Keebo
Before the fight, Keebo tells my OC that he managed to decrypt the flashdrive and learned more about what was on it. He explains that there’s no going back now, but just when things looked like they were going ok, Keebo malfunctions and starts attacking aggressively during the match. My OC loses the match with Keebo winning via a perfect match (winning a match without taking damage). Suddenly, Keebo self-destructs.
Everyone still logged in gets worried. So they all decide to log out to see if something had happened. And they all log out to discover that…
Keebo is now the fourth victim.
To be continued…

it's late...
oh, that's really late.
you stare at the time on your phone and decide that it's finally time to go home for the night. you disconnect your phone from the sound system and make sure everything is off before leaving the practice room.
speakers. lights. have my bag. good!
once you're outside, you sigh in tiredness. you're used to the long hours, so seeing stars instead of the blue sky was normal. today, you had been rehearsing a solo piece for the first comeback recording.
on your way home, you check your phone and notice a bunch of texts from the guys. some of them are in the group chat, and a few of them are from individual members. you decide to wait to text them back but take note of the ones telling you to go home and sleep. most of them were sent hours ago with the last one coming in a little past one o'clock from woozi, who had been working late at the company building too.
he must've passed by and heard the song playing...
after awhile, you make it back to the dorm building and use the elevator to go up to the floor you live on. then, you reach the front door and unlock it, immediately noticing that the lights are on. you go inside and lock the door behind you before taking your coat off. you hang your coat on the small coat rack and take your shoes off.
you go into the living room and notice a familiar face sitting on the couch.
hm?
s.coups sits on the couch with a hoodie on. the hood is scrunched up tight from the drawstring being pulled, and he has his hands in the pocket.
"you're awake?" you immediately ask.
the leader opens his eyes and turns his head a bit to look over at you. he nods his head and stretches out the hood of his hoodie so he can bring it down, revealing his messy hair.
"i was waiting for you to get back. you didn't text any of us saying what time you'll be back. i knew you'd be back late, but i expected you back earlier since you have practice all day tomorrow too," he explains. "did you eat?" he asks.
you nod your head and join him on the couch.
"i'm so tired," you mention, laying down with your head on s.coups's lap.
"but all of your effort is gonna lead to one hell of a debut," s.coups replies. you smile in response.
"when did woozi come home? i thought he would've been working still, but i peeked in and no one was inside," you ask, knowing that he usually works late just like you. "i think he passed by the practice room but didn't come in," you add.
"he probably has a schedule, so maybe he figured he should get some sleep for once. he texted me asking why you were still practicing," s.coups answers. "you should go to sleep too."
"but i didn't get to see any of you guys besides from this morning. i get lonely you know," you say in almost a complaining tone, leaving him to chuckle in response.
"you and your quality time," he says with another chuckle.
"oh shut up," you say to him and sit back up.
"hey, call me next time if you're practicing late. i'll pick you up, okay? it's too late for you to be walking around, especially with you being in the group," he says to you. you nod your head. "get some sleep. you need it."
"misaki? want breakfast?"
you turn around when you hear someone speaking in english to you and see joshua peeking his head into the bathroom. you nod your head while brushing your teeth.
"what about coffee?"
you nod again and hum in confirmation.
"you got it," joshua smiles before closing the door, ending the one-sided, english conversation.
you finish getting ready before going into the kitchen, where joshua is cooking breakfast.
"myungho, come eat!" he calls for the other dancer that lives with you all.
"where's s.coups?" you ask as you pick up the mug of coffee that joshua had prepared to your liking.
"he already left, think he went to the gym," joshua answers before picking up the salt and pepper grinder on the counter.
"oh? he doesn't have a schedule?" you ask as joshua puts the food in the pan on a plate.
"i guess not," joshua replies and finishes up cooking.
the8 comes out of his room and joins you two in the kitchen. you prepare the table while the8 grabs something from a cabinet before standing at the stove. "ready for today?" the8 asks you and starts to boil water with the kettle.
"huh? oh, are we practicing together today?" you ask, looking at him. joshua grabs fruit from the fridge and brings it to the table.
the8 glances over and nods his head at you, "yea, we are."
"the rest of us will be there around two o'clock," joshua mentions. "we're just running through the song, right?"
"yea, i think we need to fix a section though. oh, and the other dancers will be there," the8 answers.
the three of you eat breakfast together and leave; however, joshua goes to another floor in the building to go to one of the other dorms. you and the8 are taken to the company building by one of your managers. once you are at the hybe building, you two go to one of the bigger practice rooms and start rehearing your solo stage for the first comeback stage.
"watch your elbows," the8 comments while watching you dance. he had helped choreograph your solo with you since your dance styles were similar in some aspects. "make it more soft. you're being too sharp," he continues, "softer. you know the details, just go with it."
once the song ends, you move to be farther back and listen to the8's corrections. you continue practicing with the8 watching you; him dancing along to the parts he knew for fun.
at some point, the guys start trickling into the practice room, meaning that it was almost time for the second rehearsal. you still continue practicing, nervous about accidentally messing up in front of everyone else. you mark a few things, mainly the few tricks you had since you didn't want to wear yourself out before the other rehearsal started.
"woah! look at misaki go!" hoshi comments when the song ends, "our newest performance team member is amazing!"
you smile while taking deep breaths, having your hands on the back of your hand as you take a breather.
"hey, drink some water," woozi says to you, grabbing your water bottle off of the ground and bringing it over to you.
"thank you," you reply and move your hands to take your bottle from woozi. woozi nods and returns to where he had put his phone down. you take a sip of water and hear one of the other songs from the mini album start playing. you notice mingyu and dk at the sound system together.
"hey, this part?" the8 speaks up while moving his arms to show a move, "try doing this instead," he suggests, demonstrating the move differently.
you close your water bottle and put it on the floor. then, you try the move out and the8 nods.
"i think that would look better," he says and you nod in agreement.
"yea, i think you're right," you reply.
the8 continues giving you some notes and you practice a bit more before the second rehearsal starts.
"like this?" you ask hoshi, who is helping you with a part of the choreography for the title track performance.
"yea, and then turn this way and move," he says, demonstrating the next move. you follow him. "good," he says with a smile. "you're doing really good," he compliments before suddenly hugging you and messing up your hair.
"hoshi!" you laugh as he continues messing around with you. "stop it!" you exclaim while laughing.
then, you are pulled away from someone, and that someone is jun. "is hoshi being annoying again?" he asks you.
"yes."
"hey! misaki!" hoshi yells at you, making you laugh. "come on, you need to learn this part," he says, changing his demeanor.
"but this part is still weird to me," you say to him, demonstrating the part you were talking about. "see?"
"well, you're doing it right. you just look a little weird," he comments before looking around the room, "dino! come here!"
"huh? what?" dino asks from across the room. he puts his phone down and starts walking over.
"how can we make misakilook less weird for this part?" hoshi asks, showing the move off again.
"that part? misaki, do it," dino said as he stops next to jun, who is also observing.
you do the move and the three of them stare at you. you face the mirror and try fixing it yourself as dino thinks.
"ah! do this," dino suddenly speaks up and slowly demonstrates. you follow him but at a faster pace. he shakes his head, "no, go slow."
you slowly do the move, and dino nods his head this time.
"that part is really weird though," jun comments, "cause then we have this part too," he says while doing the next moves.
"we can talk to hyung about it when he comes back. he probably noticed it too," hoshi says to them. "guys, let's go through all of it with the music," he says to the rest of the guys.
once rehearsal with all of the backup dancers is over, you sit on the floor with your back against one of the mirrors. you keep your eyes closed and notice that you are getting really tired.
"misaki? come eat with us," you hear s.coups call for you. you nod your head in response but don't make the effort to move.
"should we let her sleep?" you hear mingyu ask, "think she needs a nap."
"if she sleeps, then she's not gonna sleep later," joshua replies. "her sleep schedule is all over the place right now too with how much she's been practicing," he adds. "s.coups, when did she get back last night?" joshua asks out of curiosity.
"it was like after three. she was tired then too," s.coups answers, "but she's been rehearsing day and night for the day for everything."
you hear the guys talk at a lower volume while eating dinner that all of you had ordered earlier. you're hungry, but right now you're even more tired.
"misaki, here."
you manage to open your eyes when you hear jeonghan's voice. he stands in front of you before sitting down with a takeout container of food in his hand.
"come on, eat," he instructs, holding the container out to you. you take the chopsticks that are in jeonghan's other hand and start eating.
eventually, jeonghan stops holding the container, so you hold it instead. he stands back up and walks back to where he left his food but returns to sit next to you. after you finish eating, you lay down on the floor next to jeonghan and close your eyes.
"can you stay up a little longer? we'll be able to leave soon," jeonghan asks you, trying to keep you awake. he has his hand running through parts of your hair, which makes you even sleepier.
"sleepy..." you mumble to him.
all of a sudden, you feel water being poured on your head and immediately sit up. you notice vernon and seungkwan standing in front of you, both of them holding water bottles.
"what the hell?" you mutter. "i'm being bullied again," you announce, even though only some of the guys heard you.
"we aren't bullying you," seungkwan says, "just playing around. right vernon?"
"yea, just fooling around," vernon replies before drinking some water from the bottle in his hands.
"that was just cruel," dk speaks up while laughing, "but i'd so do that too!"
"then stop laughing with them!" you whine. wonwoo gets up and walks over to you, placing a towel that he has on top of your head. "thank you," you say to him.
"mhm," he smiles with a chuckle. "we can get them back later. it'll be fun," he says in a whisper. you smile before nodding back in response.

I did a thing. But please, if anyone has another idea for a fic where Malcolm finds out about the alien life form earlier in the episode, go ahead and write it!! I want all the fics of this because it’s under appreciated. Also, I’m excited to delve into the scientific and health-related process of this fic because the fetus being attached to Trip’s pericardium?! That could be so dangerous! I wish the episode would have focused on that, too, but I get that they were going for a more humorous approach.
