(a/n: idk im waiting for my lecture to start so might as well do this ;P)

Featuring: Bakugou Katsuki, Satoru Gojo, Megumi Fushiguro, Dabi, and Kyojuro Rengoku

notes: fem!reader, characters are aged up, some mention of harassment, actual murder in Dabi's, modern au in Kyojuro's

Bakugou Katsuki

(my fave angery boy)

Katsuki TELLS himself he's not gonna be jealous, after all, that's something that extras do

But...

When he sees someone else talking to you he can't help the burning feeling in his chest

You're HIS, does that person not know that????!??!?!

Especially when / if the person in question starts to flirt with you or TOUCH you??

Ohhh boy that person better RUN

He will literally pop up in between you and the other person, smacking their arm away from you

"OI WHATYA THINK YOU'RE DOIN', TOUCHIN' MY WOMAN LIKE THAT?!? YOU WANNA GET BLOWN TO BITS, ASSHOLE?!"

He can be heard within a 30 mile radius, he's so pissed

The person just SCURRIES away

"HEY! I'M NOT DONE WITH YOU, EXTRA!" He makes to run after them but you stop him

"Katsuki, it's oka--"

"SHUT UP! NO IT'S NOT! I'M GONNA--"

"You know, you're kinda cute when you're all jealous and protective. Calling me 'your woman'." You smile sweetly.

Bakugou.exe has stopped working

"Shut up, s'nothin'. Not gonna let some goddamn extra make you uncomfortable." He finally says quietly, huffing and looking off to the side, but the redness spreading across his face is unmistakable

Satoru Gojo

Okay, so...Satoru doesn't really get jealous usually? He knows he's the best and that you love him...

But.

He does like to let people know that you're taken by him.

Since he's a menace (a lovable one, though) he has no qualms with sauntering up to you and whoever is flirting with you, and planting a massive, wet kiss on your lips, wrapping his arms around you

He'll play it cool afterwards, innocently asking what you two are talking about

All the while he has a massive grin on his face and his hand on your hip, squeezing tight

Though if the person doesn't get the message to 'fuck off' somehow, Satoru will tell them personally to piss off

Even he has his limits, y'know

Afterward though he'll ask if you're okay and if they did anything inappropriate to you, he just wants to make sure you're comfortable and safe wherever you go <3 (loml, honestly, i'd die for this man)

Megumi Fushiguro

(pretty boy <3)

He's not usually one to SHOW that he's jealous

Instead he'll just watch you and the person interact, internally sulking

A part of him will definitely feel some doubt, like what if you leave him for someone else? Someone better than him?

It's only after you ask him what's wrong that he'll hesitantly admit to being a bit jealous, a blush rising on his cheeks

He won't say why until way later when you're in private

Please give him a hug, please

That being said, if the person is very clearly violating your boundaries and making you uncomfortable, he will intervene

"I suggest you back away from Y/N. Now."

Megumi is SCARY when he's angry, so the person does just that, apologizing and running off

Will act all nonchalant about the ordeal but his face will be burning ;w;

Dabi

Um, that person is not gonna see the light of day again

I get the sense that Dabi would be EXTREMELY possessive and protective of his s/o, considering what he's been through, he doesn't want anything to happen to his lover, someone who makes him feel alive again

So, if he sees anybody trying to steal you away from him, he doesn't hesitate

Especially if they're harassing you

You can't even blink before that person is immolated before your eyes

"Tch, as if they'd ever have a chance with you to begin with. C'mon, let's get out of here." He'd wrap an arm around your waist and bring you home, his eyes narrowed

Though later that night he does cling to you a bit tighter, like Megumi, he's terrified of you finding someone else, someone who can make you happier than he feels he can

Kyojuro Rengoku

I refuse to believe that there is a single jealous bone in this man's body

He trusts his partner completely and utterly, I don't think he would ever see anybody as a threat

He'd come up to the two of you talking and smile widely, asking what you two are talking about

"Oh, I was just asking if she was single and if I could get her number, man. Think you can help out?" The person would ask

"Oh! Well I am sure she is very flattered, but I am actually her partner!" He'd reply, his smile not fading

One of the more civil ones, will politely ask them to leave if they continue to pester you

But if they do something that discomforts you, then he'll probably twist their arm behind their back, grin still on his face

"I am afraid I am going to have to repeat myself, aren't I? If you don't leave Y/N alone, I will have to intervene further."

Kyo is strong enough to imply that he means it

As sweet as he is, when it comes to you, he'll protect you at any cost

Once the person finally leaves, though, he'll smile at you and whisk you away for cuddles

Lanternfam’s favorite vampire media

Hal- Monster High (the justice league hates when they do mental links via J’onn because he constantly has the first opening stuck in his head and doesn’t even realize hes humming it until someone says something and even then it doesn’t really go away until he has something else stuck in his head. he has also on multiple occasions cross-dresses as one of the female characters to match with Helen, who would dress as one of the guy characters. Hal kills it every single time. he looks so good its not even funny.)(the main two that Hal does are Rochelle Goyle and Operetta. Helen’s are Deuce Gorgon and Holt Hyde)(if anyone wants to draw Hal in either of those outfits please hit me up it would be so good and i would be forever grateful and maybe even owe you a kiss on the forehead for your troubles)

Guy- Twilight (he likes the side characters and wishes that SMeyer hadn’t fucked them all up like she did. he likes the baseball scene in the first movie bc it slaps, and Emmett and Leah are his favorite characters. Emmett is a lot like him and Leah was written so badly. They both deserved so much better.)(he totally doesn’t write twilight fix its on the internet but if you know the right places to go, there may be a fix it fic written by one EmeraldWarrior.)(the fics fix a lot of things about the series and are actually pretty good and god i wish they were real -ketchup)(jo doesn’t read his fics, but she has mutuals who are into Twilight and have read them, so she has heard about the fics in detail from them. she doesn’t put two and two together until she meets Guy and immediately is like “hey wait” and the secret is out but still between the two of them -specs)

John- The Argeneau Series (its vampires but they made it scientific and actually gave answers for why vampires do and require certain things instead of just leaving it down to “idk man. magic or something.” its also not too well known or talked about, so no one has had a chance to ruin it yet. just like how john likes it.)

Kyle- The Lost Boys (comics nerds have to fight vampires and look into comic books to find the answers. home alone with vampire fighting mechanics. need i say more?)(ketchup has never seen this before ever)

Jess- The Mortal Instruments/Shadowhunters (the series focuses more on the angelic and demonic than the vampires themselves, but they still play a large role in it. She believes Raphael deserved better and thinks its funny that the main vampire character is named Simon.)(the movie does not exist.)

Simon- Buffy the Vampire Slayer (fuck Joss Whedon but Buffy. he liked some parts of the show and hated others but thought it was a very interesting interpretations of an American high school.)

Jo- Castlevania (it is not anime but it is the closest western media will get to that. western animation can do things good too! -specs)(as soon as specs mentioned this, i went oooooooooooh *eyes emoji* bc i love the first two seasons sooo much -ketchup)(also yayyyyy video game series!!)

Keli- Dracula das Musical (she accidentally found it through the Korean version of Zu Ende with the redheaded Dracula on youtube and then watched a subtitled recording of it and fell in love. She likes all the versions of it that are not in English, but the German one is her favorite)(this is ketchups favorite musical)

Alan- Nosferatu (1922) (it is the vampire movie of all time and even though its corny as all get out, he likes the simplicity of it as well as the staying power it had through the depression and the world war. its also just a really hilariously stupid adaptation of Dracula.)

Carol- Vampire Academy (she can and will go on hours long rants about various things in the series. Hal has never read the books, but he did watch the movie on his own time so he could better understand her rants but that just made Carol more angry. the movie does not exist. Hal can still have a conversation with even the most dedicated of readers about the series based on what he has absorbed through osmosis from Carol.)(in this scenario specs is Hal and me and our roommate are both Carol. as this was typed, specs and i had a conversation about the plot in vampire academy lol -ketchup)

Kilowog- Hotel Transylvania (Keli showed it to him while deviously grinning in the corner, a grinch smile on her face bc she was determined to get the big tough alien into the most memeable animated vampire media ever. ‘wog doesn’t get it and ends up dealing psychic damage to the rest fo the earth lanterns when he says its his favorite of the Terran media they show him)

Razer- Blade (he likes knives so he likes the name. also. Blade is a vampire who fights other vampires and Razer is a red lantern who fights other red lanterns. it fits.)

Thaal- Bram Stoker’s Dracula (1992) (theres a weird monsterfucking scene that kept ketchup from watching it the first time they tried. Thaal would get a kick out of it because hes a kinky motherfucker, as well as the stupid butt wig. seriously wtf is up with the butt wig. its so stupid)

B’dg- Count Chocula cereal boxes (his preferred form of media is staring at cardboard boxes. he finds them very entertaining.)

Helen- Cirque du Freak (specifically the manga adaptation)(she 100% convinced Hal to dress up as Larten Crepsley so she could dress up as Darren for Halloween one year, and this series singlehandedly got her over her fear of spiders)(if you haven’t read the graphic novels they’re so good i promise -ketchup)

Wreck-it Ralph fanfic (remastered from my 2019 fic “The Right Thing”) Roadblasters Never Happened AU Words: 7784 Characters: Turbo, Make-it Mavis, Surge Protector, Maribo (OC of NijiMarii), Fix it Felix, Dr. Mario CW: Drug abuse, police brutality, near-death experience, hospital setting Summary: The Surge Protector discovers that being the only resident security guard in the arcade places responsibilities on his shoulders that he is greatly unqualified to handle, as his intervention in a situation quite nearly kills Make-it Mavis, who had just gone a little too hard on the substances. Turbo stays by her side in the hospital, and is overcome with an array of unflattering emotions as she wakes.

Surge saved a life.

Objectively, that much was true. A sprite was in danger, and had he not rushed in to protect her, she would most likely be dead. He protected her. That was his job. That was his name. Surge Protector .

And yet, by protecting one sprite... he might have killed another.

He tried his best to think through the toiling black smoke in his mind as he walked down the hospital halls. Dr. Mario’s was actually fairly quiet that evening, the only sounds being soft beeping, muffled conversation between volunteer staff, and the echo of his own shoes clopping against the floor. Part of him wished for more hustle and bustle, if only to coax him out of his own head, to draw his attention to smaller, trivial matters. The enormity of the situation put a terrible weight in his body, far heavier than should have been possible for a being made of crackling light.

Until that point, his job had been tedious, thankless, and hard to juggle completely on his own, but it had been manageable. Monitoring and enforcing game security, herding rowdy sprites away from trouble, occasionally locking up a drunk sprite for the night — this much, he felt perfectly suited to handle. But what happened tonight... should not have been handled by a Surge Protector.

Who should have handled it, he could not have said. Just not him. That ... was not his job. He just happened to be there, and he acted without thinking, and that snap decision might have cost someone their life.

Keeper -- a short comic about an angel meeting a robotic lighthouse keeper that doesn't know the world has already ended. Made in about 18 hours for a 24-hour 24-page* black and white comic challenge (that I arrived late to, ha.)

*the actual submission does not include the cover, which was created after the fact for this post.

This was a really great learning experience as someone who's... never really made a completed comic. I ended up really attached to the story by the end of the project (possibly due to all-nighter deliriousness lol) and ultimately am very proud of what I made.There are some things I'd still like to change, particularly text placement, but in keeping with the spirit of the challenge I've elected to leave it as is.

[Touchy feely] [tf141 headcanons]

(Romantic impied Task force 141 boys x gender neutral!reader headcanons :))

Summary: Being the sweetheart of the task force means the boys are not shy about the fact that they're all simps and always want some sort of contact with you at all times.

Consists of romantic/suggestive headcanons for each of the guys and little things they do with you <3

Words: about 1.5k (this was supposed to be short, whoops)

Warnings/Info: Can be read separately but it is intended that they all harbor feelings for you at the same time, possibly out of character for everyone, some swearing, the guys manhandle you, as always, let me know if I miss something!

Thinking about how each of the boys is so touchy with you, it doesn't matter where you are or who you're with, they're shameless.

Other units and teams who will sometimes share the base with 141 know better than to ask questions or directly say anything to one of the guys or you for that matter. Not that they could anyway, seeing as you always have at least one of them attached to your hip.

Price:

Anyone who walks into Price's office late at night to turn something in is used to seeing you next to the Captain on the little dingy loveseat he has in there.

John is usually smoking a cigar, taking care to not blow smoke your way while your head is resting on his shoulder. Your eyes closed as you hum at his words. It's terribly domestic for a military base.

John likes to gently play with your hair while he speaks about missions he's been on, always somehow trying to braid despite not knowing how to for jack shit, whether it because it's you or just the mindless motion, he's not willing to say.

John will usually walk you back to your room after dinner or time in his office unless he's swamped with work.

A small hand on the small of your back while he leads you. It's always a respectable touch, though he tucks you into his side, nodding at everyone you may pass.

If you're comfortable with it, he likes to press a kiss to your head, smiling that goofy ass smile, and tells you to get a good night's rest.

He lets you help him trim up his beard, he won't let you do all of it but he likes the closeness of it, him sitting down while you gently shape it up, tilting his head up and he tries his best to not stare directly at your chest.

The fact that he's letting you this close to his neck with a razor is a sign of trust, maybe small for others but for a man that doesn't drop his guard and doesn't truly trust others, it speaks volumes.

The first time he let you, you were barely putting any pressure and he grabbed your hand in his and showed you. "You're not gonna hurt me, put more force into it, yeah?"

Don't get me started on going out on walks in London with Price, he wraps you up in his beanie and some big leather jacket he has that dwarves you, helping you move through crowds by once again holding the small of your back, or taking your smaller hand in his. (He doesn't correct anyone if they mistake you as married)

He likes to kiss the back of your hand and laughs when it makes you blush and sputter out that his beard is scratchy.

Ghost:

Ghost is a subtle one, he won't actively reach for you or your hand but he does have some part of him against you most times.

Whether it be his leg, arm, or thigh, anything works. A normal place yall will be seen together is in the dining hall, you've both learned to ignore the stares from everyone else.

Simon never eats there, just sits with you until you're finished and then you both move on to either his quarters or somewhere else so he can peel his mask up to eat a bit.

However, while you're eating and telling him about anything under the sun, he'll lean over and wipe some crumbs off of your mouth with his thumb softly, which again, you're used to so okay whatever but Recruits always are taken aback in their seats.

Ghost's reflexes kick into overdrive with you. His hand going to cover a corner of a table 9/10 times before you completely wreck your shit, but when he does miss (sometimes on purpose).

He'll bring a hand up to rub at your head for you, chuckling under his breath before cooing down at you "That hurt pretty? Sure look like it did."

Whenever you two specifically are paired onto a mission, doesn't matter if any of the guys complain, he will share a cot/tent with you. He claims he runs the hottest (he doesn't, it's Johnny but he will not lose on this) and can keep your body the warmest.

He pretty much lugs you on top of him and wraps his arms around your waist, he'll press a hand against your head if you keep fidgeting, rasping at you to go to sleep. He takes great pride in the fact that you're usually out like a light very shortly.

I've said it once and I'll say it again, Ghost likes to hook a finger into your body straps and pull it really hard and let it smack you to get your attention if you're not actively paying attention to him, he'll soothe the area but he's smirking behind that fucking mask.

On that note, he definitely does the "You got something right here." And points at your chest and immediately pull up to flick your nose hard as fuck, he KNOWS his own strength but sometimes your eyes water and he immediately feels bad.

Ghost rests his head on your chest a lot, he finds your heartbeat to be soothing and reassuring, also grunts if you don't wrap your arms around him in return, bro literally shoves his head into you and groans

This is a grown man but it's cute so you let it slide bc he'll never ask for it outright, he just assumes you'll cradle his head.

Soap:

Johnny is the most shameless motherfucker here, I'm talking about draping himself over you, grabbing at your cheeks, ruffling your hair, kissing you dangerously close to your lips (it drives the others mad), he's the most unapologetic about it and will gloat to the others.

Manhandler #1, isn't above grabbing you by your hips and picking you up to move you somewhere, he's literally gone and grabbed you from some rookies side to come stand next to him with a smile and you're just so used to it that you just shrug and go along with it. (He gets slightly jealous, why would you stand next to some random ass dude and not him??)

Throws you over his shoulder, or likes you to cling to his front or his back and just carries you, he says it's a comfortable weight. If you ever dare say you're too heavy, he's gonna go to the gym and work out even more to PROVE to you that he simply doesn't care, he will carry you.

Extremely bad habit of sneaking into your room to fall asleep with you, Price has come into your room many times to see Soap sprawled on top of you, he's drooling and snoring and you're knocked the fuck out (he's like a glorified weighted blanket).

I've touched on this before but he only wants you to cut his hair for him, yeah he can go to the barber on base but he much prefers you and loves it when you scratch at his scalp. He also likes to just have his head in between your thighs but that's something else for another time-

Soap specifically slings you over his shoulder a lot, especially off base where he truly doesn't have any fucks to give.

You're not going to bed because you have other work?? Too bad, shoulder time you go. You're not willing to get up and make yourself food? Good thing he's here, either pick what you want from the kitchen or throw some clothes on bc he IS dragging you out of the house.

Johnny likes to draw on you a lot, it ranges from scribbles, to sometimes his name if he's feeling cheeky (he's drawn it on your thigh before and you didn't notice until Gaz shot you a look), to intricate drawings of whatever he can think whether it be a landscape or an animal.

He always holds you steady and it isn't uncommon for your limbs to fall asleep but it's worth it, if only to see him smile.

Gaz:

Gaz is probably the most secretly clingy person out of the four, he CAN function without your touch but does he PREFER to? No.

His first instinct in any situation is to grab you and shield you, he's the fastest of the four so his body moves without thinking and it's saved you more times than any of you would like to count.

The one mission where you both fell out of a moving truck, he tucked your body into his despite it costing him his shoulder popping out of the socket, you couldn't help but freak out while Ghost moved to pop it back into place.

"Why the fuck would you do that? Look at your arm!" "It's nothing." "Garrick what the fuck-"

When you're out anywhere off base, he's holding your hand, good luck trying to pull away bc he is not letting go. Too bad so sad, resign to your fate.

I think Gaz is definitely good at dancing, at least with you and when the right music is on, you cannot tell me this man wouldn't twirl you around and shit-fight me on it. He'll even lift you off your feet, laughing when you scramble to grab at his shoulders.

He goes stark still if you rest your head on his shoulder, not because he's nervous but because he's worried about waking you up when he knows you deserve a rest.

He'll usually wrap his arm around your shoulder to hold you in place so the heli ride doesn't jostle you so much, gentleness rubbing his knuckles along your arm to soothe you.

Gaz is the one who holds you when you have nightmares, on rare occasions when Soap isn't in your room and you just need to be held with no talking, you always without thinking find yourself in Kyle's room, his arms wrapped around your waist as he tucks your head under his chin, no questions asked.

He'll maybe hum a tune to help you relax but other than that, he lets you lead the way.

Happy Halloween! I'm really excited to be finally launching* what is maybe one of my most ambitious, largest work yet. This online library is the next phase of a research project that began in May 2020, when I first mused on how comics as a field doesn't have a resource that catalogues devices used in the medium. Like, theatre has devices, so does literature, and film! So why shouldn't comics? I always had an interest in comics studies and analysis. I love reading, making and thinking comics. However most of my knowledge was intuitive - I learned comics from osmosis and experience. This is true for many of my peers. Speaking about comics as a creator is hard, because we don't have a robust system of language. When we had to speak, many of us tend to reach for the language developed for film by film practitioners. If there is language specific to comics, it's either scattered in multiple blogs or hidden away in academic journals. The Comics Devices library is meant to aggregate everything and everybody into a single hub! After exploring some multiple resources, alongside some original, independent research, here is the first edition! * The Comics Devices project is still a work-in-progress! It's not final, nor will it ever be. This is why I am seeking contributors to help build this library. Translations, comics examples, etc. There is a lot of work to do! how i would run sm: NCT edition

this may be the longest post in this series, if only bc of how large the group is. i think instead of breaking things up year by year, it'll be in two parts. first part is the overarching structure and lore and the second will be more of a speculative section about what units i would make. that said: let's get into it

part one, the concept: neo tech is actually an interesting concept and theres a lot you can do with futurism, cyber aesthetic, etc. its a topic that can cover aesthetic, musical direction, album visuals, pretty much every aspect of the dynamic. now that being said, if you want to have lore with this kind of thing, i think it needs to be simple-ish. what i mean by simple is having a setting that is unique but not too complicated while also leaving room for the integration into a larger story (ie smcu/kwangya in this case). so keeping that in mind, and reiterating the idea of nct members being anyone anywhere at any time, i propose that the overarching nct world be a digital one.

so jumping ahead to the first song temporarily, i would have had 7th Sense serve as sort of an intro video to the nct world, not just the members. itd be sort of like a vcr where theres a lot of storytelling and the plot would go something like this: the members in the song are going about their daily lives missing something, finding clues to the NCity, and it ends with them meeting up in the digital world. some examples of what kind of story i mean include the SuperM SuperOne personal teasers, Cravity intro vcrs with the comet, the Loona Butterfly mv, and the Chuang 2020 theme song mv. we'll get into more specifics when the unit section starts

i think most of the nct content and mvs taking place in this digital world would be a good way to have the experimental music and mvs sm wants while also allowing for some kind of story and lore to take place in the background. this will especially come in handy for tying the groups together in a larger framework

second part, the units: this will be controversial perhaps, and has definitely been unpopular in the past, but there should be no fixed units of nct. hear me out.

the idea of anyone anywhere anytime should mean that we dont have a rigid structure for the group and honestly it probably is a negative for their careers that they are in such a set group. if youre going to have a group with this many members (speaking as the current 22 members), having set units doesnt allow for every member to shine and gain recognition. i think nct would benefit more from having smaller groups (2-5) doing more content than trying to push out 1/2 albums each year for all three units. these small groups would allow for more diversity in sound, more members to have an impact, more creativity and member input on the music, and better resting times/better pay for everyone involved.

7th Sense: i think this being the intro song makes the most sense and i do agree with some of the member choices. i think the sound is interesting and gives a unique vibe to the group. for the mv, id do like i said earlier but heres more details. i think it would be interesting to show the members in their daily lives and how different yet similar they are, mirroring the members themselves. i think playing on their specific strengths would be a good way to show the group and their own charms at the same time. for Taeyong, id put the focus on his compassion and love of animals. for Ten, id show off his dancing and his art skills. for Mark, i think showing the contrast between his youth and his skills is the best way to go. for Yuta, id show off his athleticism and his dancing abilities. for Taeil, id focus on his friendly personality and his singing. id also try to show how international the group is through these members, really cementing the anywhere anytime aspect.

the reason i chose those five is partially due to bias but also due to role. Taeyong has to be in the intro to nct bc he IS nct, hes the face of it and the reason it exists as it does today. Ten is easily one of the most talented members in the group in a variety of areas, and represents a multitude of places in the world. Mark is one of, if not the most, skilled rappers in the group and having him showcase the rap talent in the intro makes the most sense (also long ass ride is iconic). here's where my picks come in. i chose Yuta bc he has the smooth and sultry tone that the song needs (and personally, i think hes underutilized which everyone knows bc of how often i rant about him). Taeil is a really great vocal and would be able to do the high parts easily. the reason i swapped out Doyoung and Jaehyun is bc a.) i dont think the song needs both of them and b.) i dont feel like they fit the vibe of the song that much? i think theyre much better suited for the pop Exo vibe of Without You than a darker tone.

since i wouldnt do set units, heres what i would do. i would make the current units, but less often. id have the members focus more on solo, duos, and small groups. they should do what they do during the nct 20xx where they mix things up and make music outside of their usual groups.

some specific units i think would be good: Yuta/Jungwoo/Mark, Chenle/Kun/Renjun, Yuta/Ten/Shotaro, Taeil/Xiaojun, Yangyang/Sungchan/Haechan, Doyoung/Kun/Taeil, Jisung/Johnny/Jungwoo this isn't exhaustive bc you can make units for every member and every combination, just some i think would work well or want to see.

i think having the members pick and chose groups more would be a better move than trying to make set units for the 22 members. i think thats why theres such an overworking problem and a weird pay distribution, on top of opportunities outside of music for the groups and as solo members. Mark and Haechan would get to rest way more if they werent constantly doing music for two groups, which is kinda why they were going to graduate from dream in the first place. i dont agree with graduation concepts, so i think the mix and match concept is a good compromise to that. overall, my priority is fairness and the ability for members to have opportunities which i hope comes across in this post. i think this is everything i think about for the group, but if i have anything else to cover, i'll make a follow up. except for the tie-ins since thats a whole separate post
