How do u do your colors or choose them?

oh man, good question, im v finicky with colors and tend to change the way i go about them like 4 times a day but i have some ground rules that help me consistently

that being said, these are rules i apply to myself cause i like the result but i studied 0 color theory and also they serve my specific aesthetic so this might be entirely pointless for some people

im a saturated bitch, i like colors v much and try to use strong tones cause theyre fun! so that means i never use grey, the color grey in my drawings is instead a bit reddish like so:

on the opposite side of things, i never use completely saturated colors, they genuinely look v weird, even in my most insane art:

third v specific rule i have only for myself: i hate green and try to avoid it at all costs, specially for people, mostly cause its v difficult to combine and cause i use a lot of red and purple, and contrary to popular opinion, not all complementary colors look good together

this is blue

sometimes, still following the rules above, i desaturate the colors a lot (still no grey, but the reddish tones become blue) for a more serious tone

im also a big fan of coloring the lineart a bit red or a bit blue to give it some warmth or cool it down, and i tend to shade with pinks and purples, i dont leave the left/down side of the wheel often

I've been told something about "micro movements" affecting the accuracy of readings, but I'm unsure if this is an actual thing that happens or not, and it makes me nervous that my readings are super inaccurate (I don't have a pendulum stand, unfortunately). I'm not the biggest pendulum reader. For years I couldn't get any level of accuracy out of them. However, in recent years, I've made decent progress.

Idk about the micromovements thing. I don't worry about them. I'm assuming a micromovement is like... tiny little jiggles?

IME, pendulum readings shouldn't be tiny little jiggles. They should be big, active movements.

When it comes to accuracy, we have some problems and some solutions.

Not all divinatory tools can measure the same things, first of all.

If I asked you, right now, to use tarot to determine the charge level and activity status of an enchanted spell vessel, could you do it?

Perhaps! I have no reason to doubt you.

But, like me, perhaps you would need to create a custom oracle system within tarot before you could do such a thing. Because tarot, in and of itself, is not an excellent system for determining the power levels within magical objects.

Now, if I asked you to do the same thing with a pendulum, could you?

Of course you could. That's, like, pendulum 101. That's what a pendulum does, baby!

You just hover that bad boy over an enchanted spell vessel and if it makes a biggo circle, the thing is charged up; but if it makes a small circle, or only does these micromovements you speak of, it's not charged at all.

Using a pendulum, you can obtain in seconds what you'd have to spend hours doing with a tarot deck.

And vice-versa!

Try using a pendulum to obtain a guidance message from a spirit. So tedious.

What this demonstrates (I hope) is that if you apply a pendulum to the incorrect ends, it will be very difficult to wrangle answers from. You can use a power drill to saw through a board, certainly; but the results will be tedious to obtain and awful to behold.

The benefits I've found is that the pendulum makes absolute ease of certain magical needs, but you've got to know what it can do and what it can't do; and if you need it to do something it can't do, you need to be prepared to develop your own custom systems of divination to attach to the pendulum, much like one downloads workshop mods to modify a computer game.

Yes, do confirm with the pendulum what direction is "yes" or "no," either through asking or telling.

Confirm whether or not your readings are accurate by reading on verifiable things. If you would like a test, make a pendulum board like this one (same link as before), and have friends send you photos of objects enchanted with the same categories of energy as your board contains. Use your pendulum to determine the types of enchantment contained therein.

If you are anything like me, you'll find that pendulums are excellent at detecting energies, but quite poor at producing sentences and paragraphs like tarot can.

I think of the pendulum as more of a gauge, or meter. It can be activated on a scale of "barely" to "very," and move in either the direction of "this" or "that."

I have never bothered with using a pendulum over a spirit board to slowly spell out answers, when you can draw two tarot cards and get a few sentences at once.

Likewise, why bother with tarot, or casting lots, or energy readings, when you can hold up a pendulum and get a quick, accurate reading of the properties of some object or person, or whatever?

So I'm definitely rambling, but my biggest tip to you, is:

Figure out for yourself what domains are easily read when you and pendulum work together, and strive to discover, modify, or create systems of meaning which make sense for the both of you, and allow the both of you to work as a team to discover certain answers.

Do not see the pendulum as interchangeable with any other system of divination. See it as a skill, in and of itself.

You may find much greater success reading on things which you can interact with, such as objects and photos, as opposed to hypotheticals, such as predicted futures.

Uh… gosh idk. I really honestly just make content I like. I would still have a hetalia blog if I had 0 followers and got no likes or reblogs or anything. This blog is my safe space for me first.

I don’t really have a formula for success on tumblr. My best advice would be make content for you. Make things you enjoy about topics you like and things you find humorous or want to talk about create whether it be drawing, editing, memes or anything in between. Likeminded people will find you. And if not, at least you are having fun and enjoying what you are making in the meantime!

I think maybe the most important part is to not get discouraged or take anything too personally. Like if a post you really really liked flopped that is always crushing in a way. But that doesn’t mean I liked it any less, if that makes any sense to you guys at all. Of course.

Of course sometimes I find it irritating when something I took hours on does way worse than something I took a few seconds on. But that’s where I just remind myself that it’s my blog for me.

I do actually have a piece of advice that might be actually good! Pay it forward!! And by that I mean if you see a post you like that is Hetalia related give the post a like or reblog. Hetalia is a relatively small fandom on tumblr. It’s nice to acknowledge things you like rather than just scrolling past. It can help encourage the OP to make more similar content. So if you are wondering maybe how to get more notes on things maybe start by returning the favor first?

Im new to figure skating, who is Daniel grassl and what did he do?

So awhile ago, Grassl was just another skater from Italy who people liked as a bit of an underdog but someone who was alike to Stephen Gogolev a person who had a bit of shit technique but was endearing enough that we wanted him to succeed even though he always kind of fucked up. I mean at one point people gave him the nickname of Goatssl.

Well around last year in the off season it was reported that he was moving coaches to Eteri who is, in the figure skating world, an all around monster. She emotionally manipulates and abuses her skaters by having them skate to the point their bodies literally give out on top of having them cheat by doping.

But that's besides the point.

When he went to her he was an adult, older than 18, and he was knowledgeable she and her team cheated through the use of performance enhancing drugs for her skaters. That seemed like a slap in the face for many fans as well as skaters because of her control she has/had over the ISU (it's literally called the eteri boost for a reason). Daniel claimed they were good coaches and don't mean any harm but going to her seemed to do more harm than good for him as he missed multiple drug tests and has now moved back to I believe his original coaches in Italy and has to face some sort of consequence for missing all the drug tests. We don't know what consequence he has to face yet, but due to all the competitions he's withdrawing from, he's either scared or has to do it.

And that's what you missed on Glee.

Hi so I thought I’d share some info about the new DAMN audio in regards to the timeline!

This audio has to come before Gavin’s confession audio because of the now removed house party audio! The house party audio came before the confession audio (both in terms of when it was posted and in terms of the timeline) and in that house party audio the elementals are in attendance (we get an appearance from Lasko and a mention of Damien)

I’m assuming the use of the term partner is a result of Gav and FL not having discussed their relationship and partner is the easiest way to introduce someone to your friends.

Nachtruhe is when you gotta be quiet at night (usually between like 10pm and 7am) and Mittagsruhe is when you gotta be quiet in the early afternoon (12pm - 2pm)

This is for like. At home, flats, houses, and it's about loud noises like drilling holes into walls or yelling at video games or having a party or apparently me practicing cello at my dad's place :/

In QOAAD, during the ritual, Kit says this to Ty:

Basically, he was saying "you're throwing away our friendship by doing this" even if he might not have meant it completely, Ty does do it, and later Kit isn't there to help him, just like he said he wouldn't be.

In SOBH, in Kit's letter to Ty, while talking about Mina, he says something along the lines of "I'm not saying I forgive you, just that maybe I understand." So the implication is that the reason Kit would need to forgive Ty was because Ty went through with the ritual even after Kit essentially said he wouldn't be there for him anymore if he did it, and Ty did do it.

And also, later in QOAAD, Kit's already mad at Ty, leading to the "I wish I had never known you" line. And they obviously never worked it out, so it makes sense that Kit is still mad a year later (which is when SOBH takes place)

how do i get started drawin my ocs? i got some designs in mind but they’re way beyond me, even with a reference i made in roblox or whatever. only managed to draw two characters ever and they belonged to a couple friends of mine, plus both were super simple and already drawn out

Well maybe make little differences to your ocs to suit your style. All they are are drawn out characters, so just go in with drawing, find a style, and make as many small changes as you need. Perhaps use more detailed references or make changes to the references in themselves. In the end you just need to draw until you like it
