Sketchbook pages of the character design of Geillis Duncan, the youngest of the three women I talk about in my comic and the first to be accused of witchcraft in the North Berwick witch trials.
There’s not as many pages as Barbara Napier because I’m a lot happier with the designs I came up with here and also because I had more trouble trying to find a good design for Barbara that showed her age well.
Final design to be confirmed!

XB3992 - Honours Project Proposal - Week 1 #1
To start us off, I made my proposal of my Honours project. This idea was crafted allowing me to show off my main route - Narrative Design - and the lesser specialism of Technical Design. To give a brief synopsis of what the general idea will be: A persona esc game set within a University take has been taken on by an impossible madness, instead of running however the main character has realised his sister is stuck higher into the building and deeper into the dark...

"he was never unfaithful to robert, was he?" - jaime, acok
ha. ha ha ha. the irony of this line is incredible. what's so striking to me is how one dimensional the realm's understanding of eddard stark as an honourable man is - honour itself is an incredibly complicated and unattainable ideal in asoiaf and i think ned as the stereotypical emblem of it encompasses many of the reasons why. because whilst he absolutely does consider acting in a conventionally honourable way important, he always prioritises those he loves. he defended cat's actions as his own without a second thought when she arrested tyrion. his main priority in king's landing is to see his daughters safe, not to secure the succession. lyanna is the prime example: jon's existence is not the result of the lapse of honourable ned stark, it was honourable ned stark choosing his love for his sister over his duty to his king. that and his personal ethical belief that the political murder of a child is never morally acceptable.
no one in the realm has the insight into his personality we get in the first book. none of his children, vitally, understand that he would always prioritise their safety over any honourable scruples. all of the starklings question what their honourable father would think of their actions - killing in self-defence, marrying jeyne westerling, sleeping with ygritte to name a few examples - without recognising that ned's true first priority was always his family's safety.
in fact, he betrayed robert far more than he ever betrayed cat and he would have betrayed honour for his family's safety every time.

thoughts thoughts thoughts i apologise it’s 2am i have to sorry @babyboymunson
Steve knows that Eddie has a whole library of characters. And when he says library, that’s not an understatement; because Eddie has a lot of them, and he keeps all his characters sheets incredibly organised. Even those for the NPCs.
He claims not to have favourites because, “They’re all my badass little idiot children, Stevie, don’t make me choose.”
So Steve doesn’t.
But the thing is, Steve has never been above choosing a favourite badass little idiot child — sure, it might have changed daily with the kids, but still! He has a favourite character of Eddie’s. One who survived the campaign, actually, to everyone’s utter disbelief both past and present.
It’s one of Eddie’s first, from before he started taking on the role as Dungeon Master more often than that of a player.
And when Steve first finds out about the character, reads his character sheet and sees the art Eddie had made for him, that is when he knows: one day he’ll find a way to marry this blushing disaster boy.
Sir Gonthar Veten, a human paladin with high charisma and uncharacteristically low strength, laughably low intelligence but hey, respectable wisdom modifier. “A bit of a wild card,” as Eddie has put it, pulling his hair in front of his face to hide his little smile or the absolutely besotted expression.
It doesn’t take him too long to find out that Gonthar is essentially based on him, and even his name is an anagram. Oh, Eddie had it bad! He teases him mercilessly, but they both know that’s Steve’s way of saying, “You nerd, you absolute nerd, I can’t believe it took me so long, but know that you’re the love of my life, too.”
So, in 1983, Eddie has a crush on Steve and is so mad about it, he made a DnD character about it.
In 1986, Steve kisses Eddie for the first time inside his new government-sponsored trailer and begins what will be the rest of his life.
In 2006, Steve buys Eddie a star for their anniversary, and Eddie laughs through the veil of tears when he sees what Steve named it.
“Sir Gonthar Veten,” he reads, grin so wide that it has to hurt. “Can’t believe you went and named a star after yourself, Stevie.”
“Yeah,” Steve laughs, stepping into Eddie’s space and pulling him close. “Yeah, that’s exactly what I did, Munson.”
“You’re so lame,” Eddie sniffles, and it’s the happiest little sound. “Thank you.”
Steve brushes a kiss to his forehead, his temple, his cheek, and finally his lips. “Happy anniversary, Eddie.”

So the thing that gets me about Starlo — the thing that really gets me — is how much this guy hates himself.
It's not something you notice the first time you're playing, because he's so confident and enthusiastic. He'd almost be cool if he wasn't such a dork. But after replaying the game with the context of where he came from, — and I'll admit, after reading some very interesting, in-depth fanfics and analysis about him, I'll try to link them if I find them again — his character becomes a bit... blurred. How much of this is Starlo, and how much of it is North Star?
Because- because the whole point of his sheriff persona is that he gets to be someone else, isn't it? When he's out there rootin' and tootin', acting out his hero fantasies and trying to imitate the characters from the westerns he admires, he becomes someone much cooler than himself. North Star is everything Starlo wishes he was: the fearless leader, the cunning cowboy, the confident sheriff who saves lives and wrangles bandits and hangs out with humans. Not just some nobody farmer who could disappear in the corn field without anyone noticing, not the son who wastes his time on daydreams.
He craves praise so deeply. That's the big difference between Star and Papyrus, I think, because Papyrus is just so unapologetically himself, while Star... he starts spending more and more time with this mask of greatness he made himself. Because people like North Star. Not Starlo.
North Star is a real sheriff. Not Starlo.
North Star is the one who brings help and hope and fun to monsters. Not Starlo.
North Star is the one worthy of being appreciated. Not Starlo.
And like... he wants to be liked so badly. So much effort is put into making sure North Star is good enough that Starlo tends to assume people hate him. He assumes his parents hate his life choices (they don't; they're proud of him and know he cares), he assumes Clover will laugh at him when he shows his face to them (they don't; despite everything, it's still him), he assumes the reason he fell out with his friends is because he wasn't a good enough sheriff (he knows damn well it wasn't actually Clover's fault, he's not THAT stupid. But he's still desperately grasping at the last pieces of his shattered persona, so if he just works harder, if he does what a real sheriff does and captures this human, then everything will be alright, won't it?)
I really wish we could have gotten more insight on Starlo's relationships and personality before the whole Wild East thing consumed him. Ceroba and the Feisty Five say they miss the old Starlo, but we never really get to know who the old Starlo was. And I don't think he knows either.
Wake the hell up, Star. People started liking you before you were North Star. Go eat some corn and calm down.
Point is, the impostor syndrome goes hard and that's such a mood. He was supposed to be the cool and silly cowboy guy, what the fuck–

so i think out of the Nightcord members, Ena's going to be the first one to find out about Mizuki's gender cause it'd be possible for her to accidentally find out during school since she's the only one that goes to Kamikou too. and i believe the only main characters at Kamikou who know are Rui and An?
so maybe one day Ena has to come into school during normal hours for whatever reason and she runs into say, Rui (i want Ena and Rui to interact cause: two of my faves + need to see if Rui hating runs in the Shinonome blood + Ena and An already interacted) or Rui is staying in school late, during her night school hours. anyway they somehow end up talking and Ena mentions Mizuki somehow and Rui's like "oh i know them!! we've been friends since middle school" and Ena gets curious and asks about his history with them, wanting to know more about their friend cause ofc she does!!
anyway so what if Rui at one point like accidentally revealed something. like idk, he casually mentions some funny story that happened to him and Mizuki in perhaps a middle school sports event (idk if it's done in Japan but PE stuff is sometimes separated by gender) or he says Mizuki caught him experimenting or building something in bathroom
and then Rui and Ena are like laughing about it before she suddenly goes "wait what that doesn't make sense why tf was Mizuki in the boy's PE team/bathroom" and Rui's like "oh. oh dear. she doesn't know. shit shit i am an awful friend oh my god i have ruined Mizuki and potentially this friendship of theirs i need to build a device to erase Ena's memory now aaaaaaaa" (i believe it's in character for Rui to feel really guilty over these sorts of things- e.g. his first focus event)
