“I tell you someone will remember us in the future”
- sappho, fragment two
welcome to our mark in history.
poetry is just another form of growth. in our zine, we would love to showcase that.
what is “fragment two?”
fragment two is a zine that hopes to showcase the best of this generation’s thoughts, experiences, feelings, desires, and fears written through the medium of poetry.
curated by 3 young writers, we hope to find likeminded poets with a dream to write and get published.
join us, write your history.
information:
this zine is 100% free to enter & 100% to read, a link to the pdf copy of the zine will be available once it has been completed.
the theme is: aspiring writers. no new work needs to be written for this zine! just apply with your favorite pieces you’ve written (you’re obviously allowed to write specifically for the zine, just don’t stress to complete anything x)
there is currently no cut-off date and no limit to the amount of writers that can enter as this is a project with currently zero (0) audience and we need enough time to gain some traction. however, once things start filling up, a cut-off date will be put in place (tbc: sometime this month - dec 2020)
trigger warnings will be applied to poetry without them, if required.
please keep things appropriate! nothing too ~crazy~
a discord server will be open for all applications to talk, share, and discuss! the link is in the application form. it’s not compulsory but we would love to build a relationship with our participants :)
if you have any other questions, shoot us a message!
what now?
well, here’s the application!
there’s a couple questions along with a space for you to submit as many poems as you wish!
thank you for reading, please share to ensure we get as many people as possible!
- your curators.

Oh while I'm on an original post-making spree i guess i should mention that the klance zines made by the group publicly headed by the person who goes by mod cafri (they're the main social media mod and do most of the promotion) should be avoided by anyone who isn't comfortable working with proshippers. Since the proceeds go only to a charity (usually lgbtq+ or race relief) selected by the mods and not to the participants (who only get a pdf of the zine for free and maybe a discount on a physical copy), I'd say it's more than fine to buy zines by them, but working on them means working with proshippers, probably having proshippers edit or illustrate your work.
I realized this shortly after joining the server for agridulce, a kl whump zine, and witnessing a conversation about a previous zine that had been scrapped because of drama in which several people referred to "antis" in a derogatory manner. Naturally shaken, i direct messaged mod cafri asking whether the mods were proship or just didn't actually know what antis are (I've seen normal people before who genuinely didn't), and cafri told me that not only are the mods officially neutral, but some are probably proship, and they allow proshippers to work on their zines. When i said that i wasn't comfortable being partnered (someone was going to illustrate my piece) with a proshipper, cafri said that since some mods and spot illustrators are proship, that wouldn't be possible, and it would be best for me to leave the zine.
I'll admit i was a little rude to cafri in response to this, but controlled my temper pretty well and kept my pullout mostly calm. I still want to write for more kl zines, but those mods seem to dominate the current population of them for the most part, so it might be a nice idea to compile a list of upcoming zines that don't allow this.
A few of the zines run by this group are agridulce, wanderlust (completed last year), strawberry seeds (upcoming i believe), lancito (a Lance-centric sports zine), a hunk-centric zine that i believe is called hunkalicious or something similar (ongoing), splendiferous (the allurance royalty zine, completed), of which love is the honey (honeycore ???) anaphora (romellura soulmates, completed) and the occasional zine in other fandoms like infinity train (something chicken, about the popular gay ship i forget the name of. Ryan and someone).
I have screenshots of my dms with cafri of anyone wants proof or to see exactly what they said, but I'm not looking to start drama, just warn people against proshippers away from working on their zines
