Wait a second. Now that you mention it how come Sitri and Byleth have problem emoting because they have a crest stone as a heart whereas people who have a crest stone as a heart like Rhea, Flayn, Seteth, Macuil and Indech and even Sothis have no problem emoting ??? Did I missed something or ?
I'd say the difference lays in their creation.
Sothis created Nabateans - who in turn, could have kids (Flayn).
Rhea created Sitri, but Rhea's powers are nowhere near Sothis so I wouldn't be surprised if Rhea's homonculi, Sitri couldn't express emotions like a Nabatean could ; like Rhea tried to play God, but her powers are nowhere close as God's, so her creations aren't as "perfect/complete" as Sothis' creations.
Billy is a special case, because they're born from Rhea's homonculi - so can we infer the "not being able to express emotions" Sitri had was passed on to Billy ? Or is it a common effect of trying to animate a corpse with a crest stone (Billy's heart never worked to begin with, and Sitri was a body without a soul)?
The explanation is vague and maybe in the 10k years of lore so we can only theorise - canon wise Rhea mentions many times how her powers are peanuts compared to Sothis', so in a way, it wouldn't surprise me that Rhea's "creations" aren't as "able/viable/complete" as Sothis'.
Granted we later learn Sitri expressed emotions with Jerry, so maybe it was only something the "homonculi and their descendants" have when they are kids or aren't exposed to a social environment like Garreg Mach where they can interact with people and develop like "regular humans"?
IDK, bit given how both Billy (and from what we know, partly) Sitri managed to, later in their life, express emotions, that plot point always baffled me as weird.
Was it a nod thrown to make us doubt Billy was "human" and actually something else? Just like their mom?
The lack of heart beating was another nod that Billy wasn't "human" either? But then, the game doesn't bother telling us a thing about the "non-humans", so we don't even know if Billy's heart not beating is tied to, you know, their heart being a rock, or if it beats even if it's a rock in Nabateans, so Billy's not "totally" a Nabatean?
(damn, now i'm thinking about hybrid nabateans, like, do Linhardt's hybrid children with Flayn have a beating heart, or do they have a beating rock, or a rock that doesn't beat? FE16 never gives us answers...)

Is Galahad a little shit?
Let's look at the timeline. Artoria was king for 10 years, from 25 to 35, according to the official Nasu timeline.
She, presumably, married Guinevere during that reign, since marrying before that would have brought little benefit to Guinevere's familly.
Galahad's mom glamour'd herself to look like Guin to deceive-boink Lancelot (because let's face it, Lancelot didn't consent to boning her, only Guinevere, hence rape) and get herself pregnant.
Galahad became a knight of the round early enough to establish his reputation as Big Purity Guy with, presumably, several quests, which would have taken months, most likely upwards of a year, due to the travel time in 5th Century Britain.
He is nonetheless young when Camlann happens.
This leads me to believe that the conception happened between year 2 (to give time for Lancelot and Guinevere to be a thing) and year 6 of Artoria's reign (because any later and it becomes impractical for the timeline).
Galahad would then have to either be a homonculus (his white hair may support that but I'm not sure) or have grown up in a time bubble where time went faster.
Regardless, both cases makes it unlikely that Lancelot would have even heard about him. Hence, Galahad kicking down the door, walking up to Lancelot, calling him a deadbeat sinful dad and then waltzing on with his life is a really bad look for Galy-boi.
Lancelot had litterally 0 way to know a brat even existed, and then someone that is, to my recollection, described as inhumanly pure walks in, tells him he's his son, calls him a loser for not being there (for a kid he DID NOT EVEN KNOW EXISTED, and is SEVERAL YEARS too old in appearance to make sense) and despite that, Lancelot tries to be a dad.
Lancelot has many faults, but Galahad is an inconsiderate, self-centered little shit. Perfect knight my ass.

Have you considered the 2003 anime's version of Envy instead? Almost identical in character design, and still an antagonist but wasn't the one to orchestrate the genocide in Ishbal

Do you think a FMA 03 homunculus could get drunk... I want to say no given that they don't need to eat or anything and thus might not like, absorb the alcohol. But it might be kind of funny if they were able to lol

One of my friends has gotten back into FMA, which means I've started thinking about it again and how I will absolutely NEVER be over on how it deals with the topic of life and death.
How many other media will tell you that you need to live (as opposed to deserving it, that is) no matter what you've done? That, if you have the power, you should let others live regardless of what they've done? You should live even if you're a serial killer with a soul in a suit of armor, even if your body is destroyed. You should live even if you're someone who is so driven by justified revenge that you've hurt innocents in the process. You should live even if you're a perpetrator/participant of genocide. You should live even if you technically should have died centuries ago and are now trapped in a stone. You should live even if you're barely human, even if you only have a sliver of another person's soul sustaining you.
Death is never the answer no matter the crimes and sins and lack of humanity staining a person. And though the manga itself definitely doesn't say killing bad guys in a war between equals or under the law is a reprehensible thing, there is power as an individual in letting someone live no matter what they've done. No matter how human or inhuman someone is, there is power in continuing to live and in letting someone under your power live.

its amazing how i intentionally make ryder unenjoyable and a complete dickhead with no rightful motivations to her actions to make her an antihero or likeable as a person and its come out to 99% of my tumblr followers not giving a shit about her and then 1% of my followers and all my friends blowing the loudest horns and clapping and spreading confetti whenever ryder is seen. the ryder divide

Do you think the nobles had relics in pre-rebellion Faerghus? I was doing some research and didn't really find anything in fedatamine but apparently Laetitia Zoe Gautier 'reclaimed' lance of ruin from the church in 986 after being appointed Margrave according to nopes. Did the church give relics 'back' after the kingdom was founded or is this a nopes problem
Hm,
In the Abyss book, someone wonders what are the weapons Loog'n'co got, that resemble Relics - so I'd say Nopes follows that timeline where the Faerghan Nobles only got their relics post Rebellion -
The 10k years of lore will forever be unseen or unrevealed, but there is something sort of frightening, for Rhea, to see descendants of the Elites wield new relics when the first ones are in her keepsafe.
Maybe she thought they "made" new relics because they couldn't get access to the old ones?
While I wonder why the Rhea of then didn't just, storm in Faerghus to get rid of Loog'n'pals who got "new relics" like she did with the Elites (and maybe try to get rid of the guys who gave them the relics!) - compared to Seiros the Warrior, the Rhea of the Rebellion is a Rhea who is already working on her rez Sothis plan, aka, a Rhea who already believes there's no hope for Nabateans in Fodlan, and their only salvation is if Sothis, the Creator, returns to the land.
So maybe her train of thoughts was "if I give the relics to those humans they will stop trying to craft new ones so Cichol'n'co will be safe at least for a while, I can buy time like this until Sothis returns", even if I think returning a "sibling" to the hands of humans - and the descendants of the humans who slaughtered them - weighed a lot and wasn't an easy decision to make.
Bob who became Luin is already "not alive" anymore, but Cichol still is, so if she has to relinquish Bob to save Cichol, she will do it?
(FE16 mentions iirc how there are more "relics" out there than the Elites' relics, so either Agarthans had a stash of Nabatean materials and did some spares, or maybe some Nabateans who escaped Zanado and were traveling around the world were, at a later point, turned into relics...)

anyways did we ever find out why Hohenheim was able to have kids, and if it made Ed and Al different somehow? (Like a stronger connection to alchemy perhaps)

"tulpa this" and "tulpa that", why don't the Youths make homonculi out of their own flesh and blood and bodily extrusions who beg for a death they can't be given in shuddering, halting speech no natural mouth could produce, anymore?
