【Sherlock/HW】The One

〈The One〉

Love is a chord in life, not a solo.

窗外愁雲慘霧的天色在倫敦已經是習以為常了，但偵探先生的心情也是鬱悶得烏雲密佈，原因想當然爾，肯定不是因為天氣。

Sherlock雙手合於唇前，一副審視犯人的模樣盯著他的醫生室友，那緊迫盯人的眼神彷彿能夠將人從裡到外剝得精光、無所遁形，而當事人John卻只是淡漠地進出走動、自若地沖茶看報寫部落格，總而言之就是完全的將人視若無睹。

奇怪。很奇怪。非常奇怪。

Sherlock觀察了一個下午也只能作出這樣的結論，他討厭這樣腦子裡各種思緒糾結在一起的感覺，明明做出了各種合邏輯的推論、卻沒有一個能夠得到正解，到底是缺漏了哪一條線索，雖然他一向是喜歡謎題的，可是眼前的處境，除了稱之為困境、似乎也什麼都不是了。

他看著John的背影，後腦勺金色微翹不規則的亂髮、頸肩略微僵硬而有些聳起的肩膀、比起平時更加俐落的打字速度，敲擊鍵盤時伴隨的聲響聽起來簡直就像愉悅地在吹口哨。 自從結束Baskerville的委託回來後，他一直就是這個樣子，嚴格來說，這只是周期中的表現之一。

John闔上notebook的螢幕後沒多久，就感覺到身後有人接近的氣息。纖細骨感的手指沿著椅背滑過之後輕輕地降落在他的肩膀上，高聳至下沉的感覺，都由一個人在控制。

「有約會？」Sherlock沉穩的嗓音從上向John傳來。

Sherlock的手掌被醫生不自在地抖落，向上抬的眉心蹙在一起，不耐煩的神情不用去讀心也可以聽見他說『煩人』。

這一周Sherlock和John的互動幾乎就是如此，不明原因心情起起伏伏的醫生，明顯夜眠不佳、卻又時常格外亢奮，但總會在偵探試圖接近時被冷淡地推開、情緒迅速地冷卻。

「別一直試圖解讀我在想什麼、做什麼，我可不是你消遣的填字遊戲。」

「是Baskerville那個女孩？」Sherlcok鍥而不捨的問，嗯、聽懂人話向來不是他擅長的項目。

「what？我根本沒有什麼你臆測出來的約會，待會我唯一會出門去的地方就是超市！」

「這我知道。」便條本上被撕走但字跡力道穿透到下一頁的Buy List，Sherlock早在昨天晚上時就發現了。「啊、別買肉桂粉，我不喜歡。」

又是一臉驚愕的表情，難道知道這種枝微末節的小事對於一般人來說真的有這麼難嗎？

John深深嘆了一口氣，站起身望進那雙澄綠色的眼睛。

「別再猜了，Sherlock，just sometimes…你好奇什麼、就問什麼就好了。」

「她要來這裡見你嗎？」Sherlock又向John走近了一步。

「並沒有。我不知道你到底在想什麼，但我們早就沒有聯絡了。」

「那是麵包店的那個女孩…？」

「什麼、你跟蹤我嗎？……不是、都不是，多虧你我最近根本一點這種好處也遇不上！」

「我…？」一瞬間John覺得那視線幾乎將自己定在了那裡。

「你……還很介意嗎？」泛灰色的眼睫毛輕輕搧動遮住了如薄荷糖色的眼珠，浮起的愧疚的神情就像是個不知道該如何得到原諒的小孩。

John倒是被Sherlock沒來由地審問弄混了腦袋。「……你在說什麼啊？」

「One and only，John。」

「……我越來越不懂你想說什麼了。」

「I said，you are my one and only friend。」話音落下時，一室裡寂靜無聲的感覺令人難以忽視。John大概一輩子也不會知道自己現在到底是什麼樣的表情。

低下頭。「我沒有生氣，因為你本來就是個渾蛋。」

「我這麼說……你開心嗎？」

John的身軀頓了一下後，又馬上推開Sherlock走開了。

「等等，我還沒有問完……」拉住對方臂膀想要阻止他離去，卻又因為手中感受到明顯的顫抖後不自主鬆了手。

背對自己的人頸肩的線條就像繃緊的弦，Sherlock的思想宮殿中一時間打開了許多喧囂的房間，吵鬧的思緒在腦海裡進行糾紛，爭論不下的卻是那個被旁人無數次誤會過的答案。

「……今天我出去吃飯。」

對於近在身側的人心偵探總是無法做出最完美的判斷。是因為自己在一開始就刪除了那最最可疑的可能性。

「你喜歡我嗎？John。」這是Sherlock第一次尚未推論完成卻直接直覺地提出了質問、在說出口的同時，他的思緒幾乎是出生到現在唯一一次難能可貴地空白。

並在思考成形前又抓住了眼前人的臂膀，一使力就看見那人抬起一隻手遮住自己那樣失望又落寞的神情，想要湊近看仔細點，卻馬上被John施力阻攔，兩個人的手臂就這樣可笑地打結在了一起，如果不是John的手肘頂住了Sherlock的鎖骨，這樣困陷的距離，幾乎讓人覺得下一秒就會是一個親吻。

「Worst guess ever。Don’t make me laugh，Sherlock。」

下一秒當Sherlock稍微鬆懈時，喉間一陣撞擊令他踉蹌地後退了幾步，在他試圖緩住那令人噁心的嘔吐感後，才大聲地叫住那慌張離去的腳步聲。

「為什麼要逃跑？John！」

因為離得有些遠，所以Sherlock並未瞧見John耳根漸漸泛上的粉紅。

「……因為你在發神經！」 看樣子案情離水落石出的日子，還有好一段距離。
