Quote from the book, "The Power of Faith."If I am going through a period of financial shortage, I remind myself of 2 Corinthians 9:8: “And God is able to make all grace abound to you, that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed.” I refuse to entertain my fears. I conquer fear by thanksgiving. I continue to thank God that the revealed level of His provision for me is abundance. When the vinedresser nurtures the vine and branches, heprunes and

removes things that hinder the branches from bearing fruit.In the same way,

when Godprunes us, He also removes things from our lives that hinder our

growth andfruitfulness. God prunes us with His word. John 15:3 assures us

that God has cleansed us with His word. It is Hisword that shows us what

Christlikeness is and which aspects of our lives need tochange in order for us

to be more like Christ.

 

We let the Word nourish us.

 

 John 15:1–4

1 “I am the true vine, and my Father is thevinedresser. 2 Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit heprunes, that it may bear more fruit. 3 Already you are  clean because of the word that I have spokento you. 4 Abide in me, and  I in you.As the branch cannot bearfruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless youabide in me.”

 

What area of your life needs pruning from God? How will yourespond to what He is doing in your life today?

·        May the Lord remove all distractions andtemptations that hinders me from having daily devotions and bible reading. Maythe Lord give me more self-discipline, control, and focus.

·        May the Lord take away my worries and doubt thatI can do all things and trust that God will surely fulfill His promises.

·         As the Lord provides and shows us His wordthrough this fasting, through Victory devotions, through my sharings with my husband,through my ministry– I will continue diligently and commit my timewholeheartedly in studying the word of God.

·         I will submit, depend on, and trust the Godthrough His word.

·         I must have strong will to fight alldistractions as the Lord strengthen me. “13 No temptation[c] has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. AndGod is faithful; he will not let you be tempted[d] beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted,[e] he will also provide a way out so that you can endureit.”  1 Cor 10:13

What adjustments do you want to make in your relationshipwith God for the rest of the year? Why is this important to you?

·        I will cut down the usage of my mobile phone sothat I will have more time in studying the word of God.

·        I will cut down scrolling my social media toremove all distractions and temptations.

·        This is important because I want the Word of Godbe the true nourishment in my life. As the God abide in us, I want God to removeall things in my life that hinders my growth and fruitfulness.
