a literate roleplay of at least two paragraphs for replies, longer for intros. no upper limits from me

Charles, more affectionately known as Charlie, had been having celebratory drinks with the soldiers of his company when he received summons to the General's tent. It wasn't a foreign place as he had been there before, but only alongside his Commander for strategy meetings, and the order had been extended only to him. What made the summoning even more unusual was that he had been ordered to bathe before arriving, which he could not find fault in. Many of the men he shared a drink with by the fire were still covered in the filth of battle, Charlie included. So, he scrubbed himself clean before dressing in his best shirt and trousers, which only meant the ones with the least amount of holes and unsightly stains. He arrived at the General's tent shortly after a wagon full of whores had arrived, and he laughed off an offer to join before entering with a respectful nod to his superior. “You called for me, sir?”

Where have our gods gone?

Without their gods to protect them, the people of Iondelle have been forced to watch as their world is taken over by the rot. Everywhere the rot touches, the world returns to its original elemental state. The threat of destruction looms over all the land. But hope is not yet lost, for there is a prophecy that foretells the return of the gods. One group seeks to fulfill this prophecy, despite the dangers that they will inevitably face.
