Iron Flame Spoilers (up to the end of Ch. 64)
Lilith Sorrengail’s death scene was beautifully written. Not so much the death itself, as much as the implied fallout on her kids, and how each of them will have to deal with different kinds of devastation, for very different reasons.
Violet never really felt loved or respected by her mother (“Mom tolerates me and respects Mira, but she loved Brennan.”), and Lilith doubted her to almost the last second (“Your opinion, as noted as it is, is wrong.”). These are the only type of memories she’ll really have of her mother, since Lilith died before she could even try to convince Violet that she was enough in her eyes. I think it’s going to take a massive revelation for Violet to ever believe her mother was at all proud of her.
Brennan is arguably the one who took Lilith’s betrayal the hardest (“I hope my death haunts her every damned day. She was so willing to sacrifice my life for a lie.”). He was so angry, and rightfully so, but I think he’ll have a hard time with the fact that he let his mother die believing he hated her and would never find it in himself to forgive her. And maybe that would have been the case had she survived, but I think he’ll still feel a lot of guilt and regret. His reaction is not the kind you get from someone who truly hates you (““Don’t,” Brennan begs, shaking his head. “Don’t do this.” He staggers to his feet, stumbling her direction, but doesn’t get far before falling.” as well as “Brennan sits with Mom’s body draped across his lap, his hand trembling as he reaches for her face.” and finally ““Mom,” Brennan whispers, his face crumpling as he looks down at her.”)
And Mira, who respected her mother the most out of the three, who was essentially raised in her image, and the last of Lilith’s children to lose faith in her, will have to grapple with the fact that she didn’t make it in time to be with her mother in her final moments. That her last words to their mother, that we know of anyway, were said in anger (““Why is it that only my daughters speak out of turn?” “We get it from our mother,” Mira snipes in a dry tone, and that lethal look pivots to her.”)
I think they’re all going to struggle with Lilith’s loss, no matter how angry they were at her. They’ll have to face the reality that both their parents are gone, and all they have is each other. I hope we see it bring them closer than they were before.

Death Is Not the End
Summary: Lexa is an Angel of Death tasked with helping the spirits seamlessly move on. Clarke is a doctor who has fought her whole adult life to keep Death at bay, and now she’s the one whose days are numbered. It would suck if those two were to fall in love, wouldn’t it?
***
“Damn it. Time of death: 22:16.”
Clarke throws her gloves onto the floor and lets out a strangled cry of frustration. Her staff gives her a wide berth, well accustomed to her intense reaction every time a patient under her care dies.
“It wasn’t your fault,” Lexa whispers even though she knows the distraught woman can’t hear her. “You did your best.”
Dr. Clarke Griffin, MD, FACS, and Head of the Emergency Department of Arkadia General, has saved more gray cases than Lexa has ever seen another doctor do. She’s excellent at her job and, despite having worked for years in the ER, refuses to bow to Death. She fights for every single patient no matter the state they arrive in.
But Atom Ward wasn’t a gray case. He was brought to the hospital with a barely visible aura and a large gash to his throat that let out blood faster than the IV could replenish it. His time was up, and Clarke had fought a lost battle from the start.
Even he seemed to have accepted it. His spirit severs the connection with his body without Lexa needing to intervene, and he moves on by himself.
Not that Lexa stuck around for him. It has become a habit at this point to hover in the background whenever Clarke deals with a tough case. She’s not the one Lexa is meant to help let go, yet she hopes her invisible presence can alleviate some of Clarke’s pain whenever things don’t go the way she wishes them to.
“I can talk to his family if you want.”
Lexa jerks aside as Wells Jaha, the cardio attending, passes through her to approach Clarke. After decades spent in the narrow corridors and overcrowded rooms of various hospitals, she should be used to mortals moving through her immaterial form. Alas, as with the pungent smell of bleach inseparable from the white walls she often occupies, she has yet to ignore her disgust.
Clarke shakes her head, her brows stubbornly furrowed. She won’t cry. Not in front of her coworkers or when she tells Atom’s parents the worst news of their lives. She will hold it inside until she can find a quiet spot—the stairs or her office—and allow herself to crumble for a minute. Lexa has witnessed the scene a few times. Perhaps that’s why she feels this irrepressible need to shadow Clarke.
“I will do it,” Clarke replies, and Wells doesn’t press the matter.
Lexa is distracted from the scene by the call from an angry spirit one floor below. He doesn’t understand what happened to him and wants to linger. She’s down to her knees through the floor when she senses another Angel of Death’s presence below. They will take care of the issue and help the spirit accept his new reality.
Lexa floats back up into the room. She shouldn’t go with Clarke. There’s no need for her in the waiting area, and the hospital is full of dying people who might require her aid.
“Good luck,” she whispers in Clarke’s direction before freezing.
With the agitation caused by Atom’s arrival and the doctors’ attempts to save him, Lexa was distracted. She was supposed to focus on him. But now that he’s gone, all she can see is Clarke’s fading aura, slowly turning from its usual indigo to a washed-out sky blue.
Lexa has been an Angel of Death for over a millennium. She knows what fading auras mean—they call to her and her fellows. It’s not fair, but then, Death rarely is.
With a heavy heart, she watches as Clarke leaves the room, unaware of how numbered her days are, and sighs. “I will see you soon.”

Analyzer - Félix & Emotion, Part 1 (Miraculous Ladybug)
Tumblr media
So, now that Season 5 of Miraculous Ladybug has finally ended (and left us with an abysmal conclusion), I’m here to deliver my thoughts on how Félix was handled this Season. I have heard all kinds of reactions and opinions, but I’m here to present you my unfiltered thoughts in regards to him and his actions.
But, before I start, I’ll preface this with saying that I’ll be splitting this analyzer into three parts: Pre-Emotion, Emotion & Post-Emotion, mainly because of the shift that happened in that very episode.
So, let’s start the party!
Last we left off, I talked about Félix in Season 4 and basically praising him for being an unapologetic gremlin who causes chaos anytime he appears. Given how I felt nothing for the heroes in the Season 4 Finale, I frankly couldn’t care less about Félix’s “betrayal”. The only thing that annoyed me were the idiots who clowned on Maribug for somehow not having the ability of mind reading and realizing Félix was cosplaying as Adrien.
We’re starting off with Episode 2: Multiplication. There isn’t much to say, aside from the fact that Maribug has figured out that Flairmidable was Félix, while Adrichat was stewing in his own jealousy over Maribug having a team of heroes to help her to figure that one out. Not to mention, even after Adrichat mentions how Félix and Monarch might be connected, he completely forgets not only that Félix was interested in sticking around at the Agreste mansion, but that he found a spy glass which should’ve hinted that Félix was investigating something or someone - namely Gabriel. Great start!
Tumblr media
So, here’s where we learn a bit more about Félix,... and why does he have a Wikipedia page? Also, I thought his surname was Graham de Vanily, but it appears he has retained his father’s surname rather than taking his mother’s.
Anyways, we find out that Félix is the son of the American billionaire Colt Fathom, who died the previous year, and his mother, Amelie, is actually the aristocrat Lady Graham de Vanily. He’s also a triple kung fu and horse riding medalist, chess prodigy and England’s youngest graduate. He’s also the only one who has any braincells in this show.
Skipping over the boring stuff, we learn that Amelie had been covering up for Félix, pretending that her son was not at home so Maribug and Adrichat wouldn’t search for him.
Tumblr media
Behold, the only parent in the Rich Kids Club who actually cares about her child. Gabriel, Tomoe, André and Audrey could never!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We can already tell from the scene that Félix is up to something, with Duusu wondering if he’s her new holder and Félix responding with: “Im much more than that, Duusu.” This is what we like to call “foreshadowing”.
Skipping ahead to Episode 18: Emotion, we finally learn what Félix’s plan is. To quote Red: “It’s murder. The plan is murder.” Ooops!
The episode itself starts off with an Adrinette scene and I’m gonna skip over this, because honestly, I couldn’t care less about the Love Square since it feels more forced than 8-year-old me mashing a Barbie and Ken doll against each other while shouting “Now, kiss!’’
Anyways, we see Félix, once again cosplaying as Adrien as the Diamond Dance and spotting a ring on Kagami’s hand.
Tumblr media
Don’t worry, I’ll get to that. First of all, how do I know this is Félix and not Adrien? Because there is no way Mr. Oblivious himself would have such reaction to a ring on Kagami’s hand. Second, where the hell is Adrien even? I sincerely doubt he agreed to Félix’s idea of pulling another switcheroo. Did Félix kidnap him or something?
Anyways, Félix has a sudden realization about Kagami that I will address a moment later, while Kagami just glares at him. The tension is then broken up when Amelie barges into the building, yelling at Gabriel about how Félix is still missing.
Amelie Graham de Vanily: (struggles to make her way in through the guards) Gabriel! My son Félix has been missing for weeks now! (storms towards them) Not only have you and your friends been no help with the search! But now I'm not even invited to the ball?! You haven't been the same since my sister Emilie disappeared! Why are you rejecting us?
Parent of the year! No, seriously, even if she’s only acting, her giving a verbal smackdown to Gabriel is always pleasing to hear. Hell, she even questions Nathalie why the hell she’s still working for Gabriel despite his obvious cruelty.
Anyways, moving on to the actual Diamond Dance, which really is just a party for snobby rich kids (as established by Chloé, who has been really done dirty this season, turning her into a caricature of herself, because Astruc apparently can’t stand the thought of people being fond of her).
Tumblr media
We spot Félix and Kagami talking to each other, with Kagami still believing that the person next to her is Adrien. I have to say, while probably a bit awkward, I do like the interaction between them, especially how Kagami calls Félix more assertive and braver, and being willing not to go between “Adrien” and Marinette, because Marinette is her friend. Wait, wasn’t she gunning for Adrien in Season 3 regardless of the fact that Marinette is her friend?
Eh, who cares, because the writers certainly don’t.
Tumblr media
Félix doesn’t care either, as he’s here to just play his role as Adrien, at least until the right opportunity. Kagami continues telling him how they don’t have to play as the puppets for their parents, and Félix counters with their parents still be the ones controlling them. Kagami replies that she, being a descendant of Samurai women, obeys orders because she wants to, which makes me wonder whether any of the writers ever did research on samurai. They didn’t obey orders because they wanted to, it was because they had to, even if it caused the samurai or their family to suffer. In fact, the word “samurai” means “one who serves”. Yeah, the implications are a huge “yikes” given what is revealed in this episode.
Tumblr media
Félix, ever the charmer, dares her to leave the party, leaving a protesting Kagami stunned when he tells her that he can do that. Once again, pure cunning and gremlin attitude coming from him. Not to mention, Kagami is visibly excited about the idea of just getting away.
So, if all that’s needed for her to fall for a guy is for the guy in question to be rebellious, I’m seriously wondering why the hell she ever fell for Adrien, who has the spine of a wet noodle? I suppose she thought he was similar to her, a lonely rich kid who dreamed of freedom and would grow a spine and escape the expectations Gabriel put on him. That, or it’s because the writers said so.
Anyways, Kagami changes her mind, with Félix being disappointed.
Félix!Adrien: See? You're not as free as you claim. Don't you think we should be able to decide our future?
Keep in mind that conversation about freedom. It’s kinda fascinating.
So, before they can open up the ball with a dance, Marinette runs towards Félix, rambling about how “Adrien” could’ve told her how he went to the dance even tho he didn’t want to go to it... and seriously, couldn’t you send him a text message or call him to tell him that? Because you know what this is? This is more unnecessary drama to make fun of Marinette being “oh, so in love with her boyfriend” because no one in this show knows how to write actual romance unless it’s accidental. Honestly, what is with the writers’ obsession to clown on her every damn episode?
Tumblr media
It did serve a purpose to Félix’s story, though. After all, Félix only knows Marinette as that one girl who sent Adrien a love confession on the anniversary of his mother’s disappearance/death/whatever. Now, he saw a girl who was willing to break into a high society party to tell her “boyfriend” she loves him. That’s some crazy dedication. After a little nod from Kagami, he starts dancing with her.
Tumblr media
It gets even more interesting with this piece of dialogue:
Félix!Adrien: All eyes are on you.
Marinette: They're looking at me like I'm a monster.
(Adrien's face turns sour.)
Félix!Adrien: Look closer, Marinette. (stops dancing, and whispers in her ear) They're the monsters.
Honestly, this is leading to some really interesting characterization in regards to Félix, but I’ll get to that in a moment. Marinette figures out this guy isn’t Adrien, with Félix giving her a devious smirk.
Tumblr media
I just love this little gremlin. Félix then proceeds to transform...
Tumblr media
...in front of everyone? Has he not learned that, if your identity is revealed, your Miraculous will be taken away? Unless you’re one of Marinette’s classmates and not named Chloé, because screw Chloé.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I gotta say, the transformation is quite short, if snappy. Furthermore, Argos outfit is miles above Flairmidable. I suppose Félix spent the previous 16 episodes coming up with an outfit for his big reveal.
Now, here’s where I have to clown on Marinette. This girl sees Félix using the Peacock Miraculous to transform into Argos, a Miraculous she knows was last held by Mayura and then Shadow Moth. She also knows that Félix was the one who either gave the other Miraculous to Monarch or had them taken away. Yet, she still doesn’t put two and two together and ask Félix about what he knows about Monarch. Admittedly, she may have more pressing matters to deal with, given how Argos reveals the solution to all of his problems.
It’s murder. The solution is murder.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Long story short, Argos creates a Sentimonster named Red Moon and then uses it to Thanos-snap everyone he doesn’t care about out of existence - including Gabriel!
Tumblr media
Argos: Good evening, uncle! You can call me Argos now. Gabriel: How dare you! I will never allow you to— Argos: Oh, I think you will, uncle! It's time for someone to finally put an end to your endless 'trying to control people'. Adrien, my mother, me; turn us into whatever you want us to be! I'm freeing us from you! (Argos snaps his fingers and Gabriel disappears into thin air.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Wooo, end the episode right there! That bastard Gabriel is finally dead! Félix/Argos saved the day! Let’s break out the good stuff and party!
Yeah, considering how this wasn’t the finale of Miraculous Ladybug (too bad), it’s obvious Gabriel will be brought back, but let me enjoy the moment.
Anyways, I’ll end Part 1 of the Analyzer at this moment, and discuss instead Félix’s character up to now. In Season 3, we saw him being very reserved, showing disdain for Adrien and his friends, and willing to go so far to sabotage him. Season 4 showed more of Félix’s cunning side, as he was the only one to figure out that Gabriel is Hawk Moth/Shadow Moth, being willing to confront him even though Gabriel threatened his life. Not only that, but he also achieved his goal of taking possession of the Peacock Miraculous, fooling the heroes and making a fool of Gabriel.
It is established that Félix is a very morally grey character. He’s observant and self-serving, looking out mainly for his own safety, with there only being a few people he genuinely cares about, like his mother and Adrien. As shown in Season 5, he clearly cannot stand the people around him, save for Kagami and Marinette, calling everyone else monsters and desiring to be freedom, not only for himself, but for others as well, and even resorting to make everyone vanish to achieve that.
I know people consider Félix a villain, but I don’t think he can be called one. The title of Anti-Hero actually fits his character more. He’s selfish, having put the safety of Paris in danger by giving Gabriel all of the Miraculous, but here he just snaps him out of existence, ending the reign of Monarch once and for all, and Gabriel cannot do anything about it. Technically, he saved Paris, and he did it because he had enough of Gabriel being a controlling bastard.
Félix continues being awesome in his own way, and while the rest of the episode explorers who he is as a person, I’m afraid that his is the peak of his awesomeness.

"Thank you." The words spilled out and Yoo Joonghyuk replied indifferently. "Don't say anything that isn't in your heart. I know you dislike me." "Of course, I dislike you. I hate you. You are the person who took my role." "I don't know what that means." In Lee Sookyung's head, time flowed slowly. She heard that it should move quickly… then why? Was it because it was hard and difficult? "…I've known you from a long time ago. That kid often talked about you. He came to visit his mother in prison and only talked about this." –This time, he challenged the 12 gods of Olympus. The young face of Kim Dokja as he talked happily. Many thoughts had floated on this child's face. Yoo Joonghyuk spoke like he felt Lee Sookyung's heart rate slowing down. "Lee Sookyung. Don't let go of your mind." Lee Sookyung barely maintained her blurring consciousness. She continued to be drowsy on Yoo Joonghyuk's back. "In any case, at least once… I wanted to thank you." "You are saying things that I can't understand."
Okay, so I've been thinking this for a while now but is Joonghyuk perhaps literally unable to comprehend that he's a character in a novel?
Like, at first I just thought it was a secret (obviously it was) and he didn't know and then I thought that maybe, for some reason, he just didn't care because he's so goal-motivated and has crushed down all his own emotions beyond what's needed to save the world, but now I'm really starting to wonder if he literally cannot process it. Like maybe he has his own version of Fourth Wall but it stops him from realizing that he's a character in a novel no matter what people say.
Like, Han Sooyoung literally calls him "protagonist" to his face but it's Han Sooyoung so it's quite possible he brushed it off as that's just how she sees the world as a writer.
But we also have the fact that people were starting to recognize that the world was following TWSA way back before Dokja got lost for three years, heck people were recognizing it both inside and outside the Seoul dome way back when he pretended to be Joonghyuk for the first time. Since then, rumors have been spread all across the internet and there's apparently still functioning news agencies because Dokja's party members are treated like celebrities.
So you'd think by now that it has to be common knowledge right? If nothing else, Sooyoung can't have been the only person to ever say something weird or act weird around the Yoo Joonghyuk. It wouldn't shock me at all if people haven't tried to interview him like they did with Heewon and Jihye.
So does he genuinely have no feelings in regards to finding out he's a fake person? Do none of the other characters not care either? We've had plenty of POV scenes from other characters but thinking about it, the one time that we see the novel openly discussed is between Dokja and his mom, Dokja and Sooyoung, Sooyoung and Sangah...all non-characters...
And now we have Dokja's mom trying to have this serious conversation with Joonghyuk and he's saying he doesn't understand and while you can take that to mean that he doesn't understand how he helped Dokja since he's only recently met him, I'm starting to wonder if it's not more literal - that he literally can't process what she's talking about.
Like, Dokja literally just got done showing the giants the literal scenes of TWSA and Joonghyuk had no reaction whatsoever. Like, maybe in that particular instance he wasn't able to see those scenes, only Dokja and the giants could, but still...
"Where are your parents?" "I was told they died in an accident." "You don't sound sad." "I can't grieve what I can't remember." Lee Sookyung knew. He didn't remember because it wasn't in the original novel. Everything about Yoo Joonghyuk was just a character setting. From the beginning, Yoo Joonghyuk's parents didn't exist. Lee Sookyung hesitated for a moment. "Yes, humans are like this. Do you think I remember all my childhood?" "…Is it memory loss?" "Everyone gets memory loss. Little by little, we will forget our memories and one day, we will forget everything."
And then on the other side we have this. It almost feels like Sookyung is trying to reassure him that it's normal not to remember things that happened when they were children and she specifically goes out of her way to say humans are like this. Like she's trying to tell him that he's still a human and reassure him that this is normal and not from him literally being a made up person.
So maybe he does know and has just been quietly processing it? Or maybe he does have a Fourth Wall, maybe all the characters do, but instead of blocking them from understanding, their versions keep their reactions to the real world muted whereas Dokja's keeps his reactions to TWSA muted? So they're aware but just can't bring themselves to care???
Like, I could see maybe one or two people just genuinely not caring, and maybe one of those people is Joonghyuk just because of how emotionally exhausted he has to be by now (both him AND 1863rd) but you're telling me that Lee Jihye doesn't have some opinions on all of that? Lee Hyunsung hasn't at least asked Dokja what he was like in the novel? Shin Yoosung hasn't asked about what she did in a future without Dokja taking her under his wing?
And then finally we have this:
Yoo Joonghyuk spoke, "Sometimes I remember things. I remember someone watching me." It was the first time Lee Sookyung heard this story and she wondered, "…Who was watching you?" "I don't know either. There was a gaze watching me for a long time. There were times when I often felt the gaze." After Yoo Joonghyuk's words were over, Lee Sookyung didn't talk for a long time. There was a long silence before Lee Sookyung laid her hands on Yoo Joonghyuk's head and spoke in a gentle voice. "Maybe it was your parents." Lee Sookyung stared up at the sky. Numerous constellations were watching them.
I feel like Sookyung is once again trying to make him feel better by saying it was his parents but at the same time Joonghyuk isn't really connecting the whole "Dokja came to talk to me about you every day when he was younger" to "Dokja knows my entire life story including my future" to "someone has been watching me for years." Or, if he is connecting the two, he's unwilling to verbalize it and just seems like he's side-stepping the whole issue?? So either he can't process that he's a character or can but can't really feel it?
Well, if nothing else, I do love it when we get mentions of Joonghyuk feeling like someone was with him during his hardships just the same as Dokja felt that Joonghyuk was there with him during his.

Hi hi hi, how are you? And how about a GN!MC who's like Al/Koko from Pokémon the Movie: Secrets of the Jungle, Or Razor from Genshin Impact? Like an MC who's parents died and was raised by Wolves or some creature, and Solomon as MC's childhood friend and the one who taught MC.. "Human Stuff"?? (Even tho he's old but let's pretend he faked being a kid for a while /hj THOSE CHILDHOOD FRIEND SOLOMON STUFF EXISTS I ALWAYS JUST THOUGHT HE HAD SOME SPELL TO TURN HIMXINTO A KID) Like the language/vocabulary and how to walk on 2 legs (bc MC was taught to walk on all 4s by the wolves/creatures), can I have this with the brothers, dateables and luke? Like their reaction on MCs past and how Solomon was the one who taught them stuff
Demon Brothers, Dateables, And Luke With An MC Who Was Raised By Wolves ❤️💛💙💚💖🧡💜❤️💙🤍🤍
Hi! Thank you for being my first obey me request! I assume that because Solomon taught MC he doesn't need headcannons? But if you did want Solomon please let me know!
-----------------------------------------
Lucifer ❤️
"Ah so that's why you get along with Cerberus so well."
Like most of his brothers he really wouldn't have a big reaction
It's not that he doesn't care
He's just got so much work to do
But on occasion he'll ask you to tell him something about your childhood ❤️
Mammon 💛
The main brother who makes a big deal out of it
He has so many questions
To the point where it keeps him up at night
So he likes to ask you questions
But not at normal times no no
At 3 in the morning, in the middle of class, just times when you're really busy
And you have to answer him
Because he won't stop nagging you about it until you do
Please I also feel like if he was in trouble with some random demons over money he'd say something like
" Y-You wanna beat ME up? Okay. But I'll have you know that my human was raised by wolves and they aren't forgiving!"💛
Leviathan 💙
He also makes a big deal about it
But not as much as mammon
When you tell him about it he'll probably call you a protag from a random anime that fits this exact situation that he knows
He'll probably make you reenact scenes from the anime, cosplay, things of that nature
He likes to listen to your stories to plot his own anime 💙
Satan 💚
Another man who doesn't make a big deal about it
He does like to study you though
I feel like he enjoys studying humans
So he wants to compare you to a book he has about people being raised by wolves
To see of the book is accurate or not 💚
Asmodeus 💖
I think he would mostly be curious on how your hair and skin was before Solomon taught you
And after he gets his answer he quickly forms a skincare routine for you because
"We have to do this before it's too late"
Late for what?
I don't know, it just seems like something he'd say in this case
But he'd also listen to your stories about your childhood when he's like painting his nails or something 💖
Beelzebub 🧡
Very curious on what you ate when you were in the wild
And how you got it
So he likes to listen to your hunting stories while you make the food your talking about in that specific story.
After listening to your stories, Beel tries to hunt himself
But after an hour he decides this isn't for him
Because he's hungry, and it takes forever to find one thing.🧡
Belphegor 💜
He likes listening to your stories before he goes to bed
Exactly like bedtime stories
It is mandatory now that you come into his room at a certain time to tell him a very interesting story about how you were raised by wolves
And if you are not there on time, be ready for a angry belphie tracking you down.💜
Diavolo ❤️
(You are allowed to yell at me if I spelled his name wrong)
Weirdly makes a big deal out of it.
Like at any chance he gets (kinda like mammon) he'll brag about how he has 2 special humans in his exchange program
Like he's trying to prove something (he might be idk)
Dia loves hearing your stories
Once he asked you to tell him one while he was working
And he got too into the story that he stopped working
Then Lucifer yelled at you because you were "distracting Lord Diavolo"❤️
Barbatos 💙
Also likes to listen to your stories while baking or working or something
Also likes to study you
Tries not to make a big deal about it 💙
How many times have I said "big deal" God I'm so annoying I'm sorry
Simeon🤍
Hella confused
How, what, when, why
So confused to the point where it keeps him up at night
So to stop his burning questions he asks you to tell him the story of how you were raised by wolves 🤍
Luke 🤍
":0 Now I'm not the only one that they'll call chiwawa anymore!"
So excited about that fact
Loves to hear your stories
He makes frequent trips to the house of lamentation just to hear them 🤍
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
I hope you enjoyed the headcannons and it wasn't the same thing over and over for each character. And as always if you have any requests or questions please feel free to send an ask!

'Would you say that, when you were a child, your parents really knew you? Did they see the person you considered yourself to be? Were there things you wished they’d known about you, but you were afraid of what they would think if indeed they did know? Did you feel that, in so many ways, you and your parents were strangers to one another?
All of Us Strangers, writer-director Andrew Haigh’s latest film, is concerned with these questions – and, even more, with what it does to us when we miss the chance to be known, seen, understood, by the people who are close to us, and to know them in return. Adam (a sublimely sad Andrew Scott) is a TV writer living in London. Even in a city of millions, he is lonely, isolated from others – or perhaps he isolates himself. He is a ghost of his own making. One day Harry (Paul Mescal), one of the very few neighbours of his in a newly built but mostly empty block of impersonal flats, knocks on his door and hits on him, drunk and displaying more than just a hint of despair. Adam sends him away – though not out of a lack of interest. He simply seems hesitant to let others in, literally and figuratively.
And then something happens that prompts me to warn the spoiler-averse: if you’ve not seen the film, come back once you have. Arguably, the thing that happens is part of the premise of All of Us Strangers – but it is disorienting, and that effect is intended. Okay, everyone who doesn’t want to be spoiled gone? Here goes: wanting to write about his parents and his childhood, Adam visits his childhood home in Sussex – and there he encounters a man, younger than him. The scene is filmed ambiguously, and anyone who doesn’t know the film’s basic plot already may think that the man is trying to pick up Adam. Which seems to work: the man says, “Shall we go, then?” And when Adam asks where, he says, “Home, of course.”
So the two men go home – literally. They go to the house where Adam grew up, and, as the man opens the door, he adds, “She’s going to be over the moon to see you.” And here, for the first time since he was 12, since his parents died in a car crash, Adam finds himself face to face with his father and mother, looking like they did when he was a child. Are they ghosts? Figments of Adam’s imagination? The film doesn’t ask that question, at least not yet: much like Céline Sciamma’s Petite Maman, in which eight-year-old Nelly goes to the woods and encounters her mother Marion as a child the same age as herself, the impossible is presented as matter-of-factly as if this happened every day. The mystery is not the point, it’s not even much of a mystery. It just is.
Adam keeps visiting his parents, and they encourage him to do so. All of them want to make up for lost time – though it’s also more complicated than that The parents are aware that they missed their son’s life as an adult, so they ask questions: Where does he live? What does he do? Does he have a girlfriend? At which, Adam does what he was never able to do in reality: he comes out to his parents, which prompts a reaction of concern from his mother: is he happy? Is he lonely? Is he safe from that horrible disease that people were talking about when she was alive? Surprisingly, though, his father’s reaction is an utter lack of surprise, as he tells his son that he’d always known – though, the times having been what they were, he never reached out to his deeply unhappy son, to talk to him, to comfort him.
As we see Adam opening up to his parents after having been denied the chance to do so for all of his adult life, he also finds himself able to open up to his neighbour Harry, reciprocating the younger man’s interest – in physical nearness and sex, certainly, but also in more than just a physical relationship. It is as if the death of Adam’s parents killed a part of him as well: never getting the acceptance he longed for, he seemingly never fully accepted himself, his own desires and needs. Talking to his parents is therapeutic – but is it also an escape from his present and from everything that has shaped him, for better and for worse, into the adult he’s become?
The story that All of Us Strangers tells doesn’t undo Adam’s loss in the end: it gives him the means to deal with it. But in telling this story, the film makes a choice towards the end that, the more I think about it, the less I think it works. See, for the longest time Haigh’s film is of exceedingly light touch, which is highly effective: while it doesn’t explain its central mystery, it doesn’t dwell on it either. Have Adam’s parents come back from the dead? Are they ghosts? Are they a figment of his imagination? These questions aren’t answered because they’re not important. They’re not really what the film is about, just like Petite Maman isn’t about how a little girl gets to meet her mother as a child. And then All of Us Strangers throws a twist at us that suddenly draws all too much attention to these unimportant questions. I don’t think that this is Haigh’s intention – but how can it not? A twist makes us reexamine everything that has happened, and here it makes us ask what really happened at a number of key points during the film, which distracts from the characters’ emotional truth up to that point, leaving us instead with a number of possible interpretations that stand at odds with one another.
I’ve seen people read the ending as tentatively hopeful or at least restorative, and I can just about see where they’re coming from – but there are equally credible readings according to which All of Us Strangers ends in despair, and possibly even on a note of emotional sadism: if only this had happened, if only Adam had chosen to do this instead of that. Can a story be too open for interpretation? The choice that All of Us Strangers makes in its final half-hour is so open, it renders the film’s ending vague to the point of shapelessness. This may not be immediately apparent, as Haigh’s direction, the acting by Scott and Mescal and the film’s cinematography and style suggest a coherence and poignancy that the story sorely needs at this point. But this sense that the ending is of one piece in terms of its presentation and tone grates against the various mismatched implications of the ending in terms of the story we’ve just been told. The film doesn’t gain anything from letting us choose from all these possibilities. Certainly, All of Us Strangers does not call to be tied up with a neat bow, but its twist, while it is depicted with a care and even grace that provide the illusion of clarity, is a mistake, making me distrust the film in hindsight: All of Us Strangers‘ ending can be read as hopeful, or resilient, or horrific, or pointless – or all of these, or none.'

i agree with everything you said. i don't understand why cassandra though it was necesary a flora redemption arc via travel with her daughter and partner to find their origins, i find it werid, as anna and ari have been so little together and i would not go with my mother in a travel with a partner whom i have been with less than a year, is awkward
i also noticed in the end all of them go away in some way or another, james and cordelia go to their honeymoon, thomas and alastair in a new home, matthew in his travels, so maybe the chocie was to show ari truly loved anna and like the rest left to be alone, that is why i don't get flora going with them
i know is useless thinking of this among many other issues this book has, but i have been wondering why this choice of narrative, as well as why flora is friendly with sona in the last scene and not mentions of her talking to anna's parents which i would have understood, maybe anna's parents were excluded in this family meetings flora organised? i don't get anything of this finale and the sudden protagonism of flora who had little to none in the other books
Anon, I would never go to a travel with my mother and my partner and we've been together many years at this point.
When CC mentioned that the finale would be bittersweet I thought she meant the characters parting ways, which it's kind of what happens, but the way she makes it happen is stupid.
Like, Kit died 6 months ago and everyone is happy to play happy family? Anna is "happier than ever" when her brother literally died in her arms? CC either has no siblings or deeply hates them to write something like that.
Also CC totally erased Gabriel and Cecily to give space and a nonsense redemption arc to Flora (btw, she is so irrelevant that when I read your other ask I didn't remember who she was and I understood she was Ari's mother from the context). Flora in like 24 hours switches from "No I pretend I didn't hear it, you are actually straight" to a total 180° turn that is very conveniently not shown, and now she basically holds PFLAG meetings in an era when in England being gay was illegal and people ended up in jail for this.
I could understand this change if the Shadowhunters were a more advanced and open minded society, but in 2007 Alec is terrified that his father may vaguely suspect that he's not straight, thing that now thanks to TLH is a huge plot hole because:
-In 1903 gay Shadowhunters could adopt children, like Anna and Ari consider, and the average reaction to homosexuality is "ahahah I didn't understand why he was making a huge drama out of the fact that he likes men ahahahahah";
-How can Robert's father be homophobic and raise Robert in a homophobic environment since he is literally Anna's nephew??
But back to Flora, she is an irrelevant character who suddenly had a role so CC can check out on the "representation checklist" the line that says "write supportive parents for gay characters". And her travelling with Ari and Anna is embarrasingly invasive and stupid, it would only make sense if, as I said, Anna is about to fall apart and Ari needs her mother's support to tend to her 24/7 until she processes her grief. But in CC's vision, Flora is just there to be a third wheel I guess?
Also, as you pointed out, it's utterly stupid that Flora talks to Sona and not to Gabriel and Cecily, her daughter's in-laws, but let me explain how this shitpile of a book works: why give Gabriel and Cecily any role, despite they actually had a personality before this shitty series came out and they are the ones who lost a child, when the useless mother of the Supreme Perfect Mary Sue of this series can have some space?
Your point is absolutely right, anon. This is just the latest shit tile in a huge shit mosaic.

I honestly only had a handful of polyships for Disney’s Ultimate Spider-Man and at least one of them is kind of more on the taboo side and would get me a lot of flack for writing about, I’m guessing, so while it would have been my first pick, I decided to go with a safer bet! I used this prompt again and hope you all enjoy the headcanons for Ben/Reader/Flash!
Who cries when someone dies in a movie?
Not somebody, but goddamn, if a dog dies in a movie, Flash is in tears. Just please don’t let anyone know. He left the room whenever a scene like that came on early on in your relationship, with excuses like needing to pee or needing to grab more popcorn because he’s embarrassed about his reaction and didn’t want you to see. It’s only once the two of you are super close and he fully trusts you that he’ll let you see him tear up at those scenes and it would crush him if you ever let anyone, and especially Ben, know his little soft side.
Who wears the ugly holiday garb?
Flash definitely buys the three of you ugly Christmas sweaters, the absolute gaudiest ones he can find (with a distinct preference for ones with jingle bells or lights) to wear together on Christmas Eve. Ben scowls the whole time he’s wearing it but does it for you and Flash. The pictures Flash wants to take while wearing the sweater…yeah, those aren’t happening.
Who pays for the meals?
I feel like it would be you the most and that meals out are actually kind of a rare occasion. Both Ben and Flash didn’t grow up with lots of spare money and are really kind of frugal with the money they do get because it’s a security thing to them. They never want to live in that kind of poverty again and definitely don’t want that for the life they want to build with you. So suppers out are normally limited to special occasions or if  you offer to treat them and both men are always quite appreciative when you do, though Ben forgets his manners and saying thank you.
Who slams the oven door and who plays the trombone?
Ben doesn’t want to do this. This is dumb…so how did he manage to end up in sunglasses, scowling and mindlessly slamming an oven door while either you or Flash try to play a trombone and the other one films it all? Please someone tell him because he really doesn’t know.
Who brings home stray animals?
Flash always wanted pets growing up but his parents never let him have any. They just didn’t have the money to afford a pet and whenever, in his childhood, Flash would sneak a stray into the house, feeding it part of his meals, they’d end up throwing the animal right back out onto the streets when they found it and would ground Flash. Because of this, Flash, once out on his own and in a place where he can have pets, tends to adopt strays, both ones that stay outside and ones that he brings into the house. Oddly enough though, and it’s a bit of a sore spot for Flash, most of the animals take to you or Ben quicker than they do to him.
Who leaves the bathroom door open?
This is something Ben does. He wasn’t really taught much in the way of manners or of how to properly live with others and it’s definitely a learning curve for him. He still forgets every now and again, and it’s something you and Flash will have to either get used to or remind him kindly about.
Who tells the ‘dad jokes’?
Flash really isn’t funny, at least not when he’s trying to be, and a lot of his humour is puns and bad dad jokes. If you tell dad jokes too, it will turn into a little competition of seeing who can tell the worst one.
Who wants kids more?
This is either you or Flash. Flash definitely sees having children in the future, preferably a boy and a girl, just that classic all-American family. Ben, meanwhile, is very, very adamant that he doesn’t want children and he would hold that child-free attitude for most of his life. He doesn’t know how to be a father, doesn’t know how to handle children, and the whole idea just terrifies him, if he’s being honest.
Who travels more?
Both men will travel a fair bit in their work as superheroes, especially where they work with S.H.I.E.L.D. Whenever possible, they really like travelling with you as well. Ben hates making travel arrangements or planning things out more while Flash has a harder time remembering to be properly respectful of other cultures while out traveling.
Who spends more cash?
I mentioned above, but it’s likely you. As said, both Ben and Flash are pretty careful with their money and while Flash might spend big on more lavish purchases, like a car, he does so only when he’s saved up enough money to do so.
Who buys the things in infomercials?
Now, while smart with his money, when he does have enough for a little spending, I feel like infomercials would definitely draw Flash in, or anything on the shopping channel. He buys easily into fancy words and graphics and if an item looks really cool or high-tech, he really will want to go buy it. He also really likes buying you stuff off the shopping channel and it’s where most of your birthday and Christmas gifts come from.
Who draws in the dust on their cars?
Okay, but when Flash has a car, there isn’t ever dust on it to draw in. He is so proud of his vehicle that he keeps it nice and clean. It becomes a hobby of his, cleaning and polishing and shining up his baby, who he will definitely let you name. Ben prefers a motorcycle over a car and while it might get dirty or messy, he gets pissy when anyone touches it and after a fight about it, neither you or Flash would draw on it. So, it would have to be your car that got drawn on and I think neither of them would really do that, honestly.
Who starts the snowball fights?
This would be Flash, no question asked. What else are you supposed to do in the snow, after all? And he’s got such great aim that he’s always going to hit you or Ben. Ben is easily drawn into a snowball fight because he hates being hit with snowballs and retaliation is his first instinct in most things. If you want to play, Flash is so happy and him and Ben take it easy on you, even though they say they don’t. That being said, Flash will get pouty if you just want to observe.
Who throws away the directions to things?
Both of these men can be completely stubborn asshats when it comes to this. They both insist that they already know what to do and they don’t need the directions. Just trust them, alright? And then, of course, hours go by and as much as you try to tell them what the directions say, they both tune you out or get snappy because goddammit, they are not losing to whatever contraption they bought.
Who puts up holiday décor?
Flash really loves Christmas. It’s a really strong headcanon of mine that it’s his favourite holiday, though he also gets really into Halloween and Easter and most holidays. They were big things for him growing up, really the only time his family splurged on much, and holidays play a huge part in his good memories. So when it comes to celebrating holidays with you and Ben, he wants to make those same kind of memories, wants to do all the holiday-esque things, especially when it’s around Christmas. He wants the three of you to deck out the house together, to drink hot chocolates around a fire place, to take Christmas card pictures, to build gingerbread houses. It really means the absolute world to him and it’s really apparent to both you and Ben, who do go along with him, albeit with some snarking on Ben’s part.
Who is more likely to forget to bathe?
This is easily Ben. Even canonically, he’s not really shown to care too deeply, if at all, about personal hygiene and while it’s something he improves on, he sees no big issues in going a few days to a week without showering or bathing or even brushing his teeth if he’s busy.
Who gets more obsessed about things?
Flash is more open about his passion for things, but Ben is more obsessive. Flash never really hyper-focuses on one thing. It’s normally ‘thought, act on thought, thought gone and done with’ in Flash’s mind whereas Ben broods terribly over things and has a really hard time banishing thoughts from his mind.
Who sings in the shower more often?
I feel like Flash definitely sings in the shower and, in a surprising twist, it’s normally show-tunes or musical numbers. It’s just a shame that he is such a terrible, terrible singer. Both you and Ben quickly learn to either wear headphones when he goes in to shower or to turn up the television or radio to drown out the noise.

Lizzie and tommy: Ruby's death, pt. 7
So after Tommy promises to pay Esme to find Evadne Barwell, he returns to Birmingham, only to find out Ruby has just died.
It's an awful scene: Lizzie is devastated, screaming at him where were you? And Tommy stands there stunned.
If you had doubts whether or not he expected Ruby's immanent death, I think that should change your mind: he absolutely did not expect her to die this quickly. He's so shocked he can't process it, he stands there staring at Lizzie as she collapses in grief, and his expression is almost confused.
In that horrible moment he can't offer Lizzie comfort, because he's in shock. And she can't offer him comfort, because she's angry that he wasn't there with her. Like I've said, her anger at him is very understandable and human; but it was a horrible situation and he didn't abandon her to it on purpose, you know? Even if you believe 100% that he should have stayed by Ruby's side with Lizzie and that this is the objective only right thing to have done in the situation, he lost his daughter as well.
It's very strange, but there tends to be this reaction in fandom towards him as if only Lizzie lost Ruby. So Tommy's role is to comfort her, which he fails; no one seems to look at Tommy as if he is also deserving of comfort. And by saying that I'm not saying Lizzie fails him by being unable to give it to him right then, either. I'm just saying it's a horrific situation and they're both deeply human and flawed and aren't able to comfort each other.
Tommy went into a tunnel, one of his worst fears, to try to save Charlie when he was kidnapped. This was the equivalent for Ruby, I think; the problem is it's much messier.
It's all tied up in Tommy's belief that he himself is cursed. In that first scene at the hospital, he tells Lizzie "They wouldn't let me pass. They wouldn't let me pass. They did it on purpose, to punish me." He tells Esme that if he makes amends for all the bad things he's done, Ruby will live. Even Esme, who cursed him herself after John died, seems surprised and asks if he thinks Ruby's illness is his fault.
The answer is yes, and that's not rational, of course. But again, it's not something he's *doing* to other people, if that makes sense. He's traumatized and mentally ill. The IRA murdered Polly and told him it was his fault, and I think he internalized that. And even before that he absolutely believed the safety of his family was his responsibility; it's why he doesn't leave with Grace in season 1.
I think you can have compassion for both Lizzie and Tommy here. Lizzie's reactions are more in line with what we expect from a parent so they're easier to sympathize with, but Tommy's reactions don't come from nowhere, and they're intimately tied to his experiences. And I think you can even have compassion for him without going on to be proscriptive about how you think he should have reacted, as well. Up to this point, nothing he's done is at all harmful to anyone and none of it is meant to reject or harm Lizzie. In this case it's not about him being careless with Lizzie's feelings, either -- hopefully I've explained enough about his internal workings to make that clear. This isn't him just not caring about Lizzie enough to be there for her, in the slightest. It's him doing what he thinks needs to be done to save their daughter.

How I would have done Wanda in the MCU (pt.2)
Note that this is obviously comprised of my own opinions and if you don’t agree with them, simply scroll away and ignore it
Helloooo
So this is part 2, where I will tackle the phase 3 projects i.e. civil war, infinity war and end game
(Part 1 was winter soldier and age of Ultron)
Note the fact that obviously everything that was going to happen to her character arc in phase 4 was not planned when she was seen in winter soldier so I do have the benefit of hindsight and this is by no means, something that should have been done or anything.
I am not a screenwriter and this will not be perfect.
Without further ado, let’s get into it
Captain America : Civil War
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“I can’t control their fear, only my own”
Now I think this film is amazing in its portrayal of Wanda. But with my version of age of ultron, some changes do need to come about
🥀 a confrontation between her and Tony
So this concludes the plot line that I added in age of ultron of Wanda still resenting Tony
The missile that killed her parents and took away her home was from stark industries.Her brother died in a rampage caused by one of his creations .That very creation destroyed the city she lived in
How can she ever come to terms with that?
Perhaps the scene could start out with Tony trying to recruit her onto his side
She’s powerful. If they can convince a mutant with such power to join their side and sign the accords then they’ll be able to convince almost everyone that what they are doing is right
Wanda spares him one glance before looking away
He starts talking and making an argument, trying to be gentle
No longer being able to bear the sound of his voice, she lashes out
Her accent comes out again
The television glitches
A window shatters
“ You took my parents, my brother and my city away from me and you have the audacity to even think that I would comply to your team!? “
“ listen kid, I understand- “
“No you don’t! How can you!? You live in luxury, you are at the head of the avengers and you have nearly every military at your fingertips. You don’t understand and you never will”
She storms off and all Tony can do is sink into self pity
I think it gives more insight into siding with Cap and gives the audience a reminder of what Tony did
🥀 more scenes with vision
Just to set up the thing with the already emotional thing of her losing him 3 times
The cooking scene is adorable so more of that
Maybe her watching the news and drowning in guilt of what she did and vision just coming passing through the wall and into her room, startling her
‘Vis, we’ve talked about this’
‘Apologies’
He sits down and with one look at the news and then Wanda, he takes a cd (it can be one she gave him or one he found in her room) and switches from the news to a sit com
‘The last episode was too much of a cliffhanger. If you don’t mind’
Wanda just chuckles and watches, now with a wide smile on her face
And then Steve comes in and tells them Tony wants to meet with every one
While I like the scene where Steve is comforting her, I do find this more suitable.
As they end up on opposite sides, they still care for each other and I think this can also help us understand how vision (currently) is awkward and does not know how to go about things but he understands Wanda and Wanda understands him. They’re both new to all this, they’re both awkward, they both want the best for each other. But they have to fight against each other.
We could also get something with them discussing their futures and where they want to end up and Vision lets slip something like ‘we could live together… or not, it’s up to you really’
‘That doesn’t sound bad actually, can save money’
‘Yes of course. Money.’
Now these scenes, paired with Tony’s confrontation scene later or earlier on, ties into the rift vision and stark get into over vision nearly causing Rhodey’s death
🥀her in prison
Just to see vision’s reaction and him maybe lashing out, reminding Tony of Ultron, making him almost scared. Vision calms down eventually but this just makes Tony more weary of both of them and grow resentment
🥀her aesthetic
Again one of those nit-picky points but I do think it would have helped her character
We see her room in one scene, right?
Instead of it being bland like shown, maybe there are posters of popular sitcoms, tapestries of gothic art (she never left her emo phase, what do you mean), a pile of newspapers documenting the avengers’s cases or a pile of cds
Anything
Her costume, again , unnecessarily sexualises her
While I like the idea of it, maybe ditch the heels and give her more coverage for protection?
Olsen will look great either way but it just bugs me that this blatant sexualisation is not part of her character in any way, just there for the hell of it.
Now just some things I do like about this movie (almost everything) :
🥀the incident in the beginning of the movie setting up how Wanda still hasn’t settled into this whole superhero thing
🥀the cooking scene with Vision
🥀her dynamic with hawkeye
🥀how she actually faces proper consequences (which becomes rarer as projects go on)
🥀the brief scenes we get of her in prison
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Avengers : Infinity War
“why was she up there all this time?”
Okay so I really love this movie
And I barely have any changes to give to her character as I think it ties in pretty nicely. The interactions are fun, the emotion is there
just one thing to conclude the Bruce plot line from age of ultron
🥀a scene between her and Bruce
This is the first time they see each other, both characters have been through shit
Maybe it could start off as Wanda approaching him. She drove him through all this madness in the first place
Bruce is still shaken from everything that has happened and seems distant but tries to appear friendly. How he always does, I suppose
Now it doesn’t have to be much
Just a small conversation that starts off awkward, that is in nature of both characters at the time
Then it gets deeper, Wanda apologises
She understands now, how it feels to be painted as a monster by the public, how to have so many against you. She tells him it was driven by rage, by unnecessary fury and how she wishes she could take it back
Bruce, unsure, takes a pause and then smiles
Faintly but smiles
He reassures her that it’s okay and he forgives her but they have a bigger threat on their heels and right now, the best solution is to stick together
Despite everything that has happened in their pasts
Other than that, everything about her character is near perfection in this film. The plot line with vision, the acting GAH THE ACTING, every decision she makes, like * chef’s kiss *
Avengers : Endgame
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
”you took everything from me”
Same as infinity war, I do not have any such thing to add to this film
but I do wanna conclude a plot line
🥀a scene with Tony
Now this is the epic battle that has gotten 10 years of build up, it would just be outright stupid to devote an entire scene to them. But maybe we can see Tony’s reaction
as the slides show the different people who have been blipped, when Wanda’s comes up - we flash to two people
Clint and Tony
A mentor and an enemy
Tony sinks to his hands again before lashing out in his speech against Steve
he couldn’t save Peter
he couldn’t apologise to Wanda
he couldn’t keep the avengers together
now that is just a small thing but it does show that he feels sorry and wanted to make it up to her but that chance might be gone forever .
we could also rope in vision’s death as a contributing factor to his explosion
now in the final battle, when everyone has arrived, I want to keep it almost the same
but instead of Wanda saving black panther from Thanos, she saves tony
just swap out their roles and make it so that Tony is trying to fly away with the gauntlet with Thanos at his heels and then Wanda flies down from the sky in between them
the showdown goes the exact same with Wanda only getting knocked out when Thanos calls his troops
she falls to the ground and is helped up by Tony (who has now passed the gauntlet to someone else)
now can everything be fully forgiven
no. but they are fighting for a cause bigger than both of them. They are fighting and they are fighting together. A small acknowledgment passes between them as they separate. Giving both a sense of peace. When Tony dies, a pan over to Wanda
She isn’t crying. Cried enough because of the titan.
she’s not angry. she’s understanding. She understands why he did so, she understands for whom he did so, and gains a new found respect for him. some might say too late but she does, a small smile appears on her face before she retreats back to the ship. Letting his family mourn.
He understood. He always understood. Now she can understand as well. but yeah
that’s it for today
I hope you liked it
let me know if there are any changes you would have liked to see

YO YO YO!! Idk f you're taking prompts atm but please write doggy shenanigans with your Rayaari children and TukTuk I BEG YOU PLEASE
Here you gooooo- no proof (we die like the idiots we are)
Rated G for goodness.
Saturdays always had the tendency of producing the most random situations in their household.
Maybe Chau would become fixated on a certain project that had him coming to them for clarity again and again, maybe Linh would want to go to the library to “research” something she had learned at school. Both kids’ minds running wild- seeking out their parents in an effort to find clarity.
Playing games that turned into all out war between the two of them, shenanigans that got them both in trouble. Or- more typically, one of their friends or family dropping by to see them. Depending on who it was could send them into a variety of situations.
This weekend’s focus was Tuk Tuk.
The kids had career day this week at school. Parents from a wide range of professions entered the school to tell the children about their career. One that had particularly stuck with the kids was the Police officer. More specifically, the K-9 unit.
When Namaari picked them up from school, both kids rattled on and on about the “Police Lady’s Dog” and how they had so many tricks and cool things they did to help the community. An excitement that was not out of the norm for either child, talking excitedly about their school day with Namaari until they were home and they were set free to play until supper. Neither child bringing up the whole “cool police dog” again for the rest of the week.
Until now that is.
Namaari found the pair out back with their old pet. Linh with a clipboard in her hand and a blank paper attached, a pen that she tucked behind her ear. Chau, on the ground next to Tuk Tuk, with his hands and knees. Talking to the dog as if he understood a thing he was saying.
“Tuk, look!” Chau commanded, “you gotta go really fast like this!”
Namaari watched as their son bolted across the yard on all fours, showing the pooch how quick he should be walking. Tuk Tuk watching him go, yet making no indication to move.
Linh shook her head, taking the pen from behind her ear and clicking it once before bringing it to the paper.
“Speed-…needs work.” She sighed.
“What are you two doing?” Namaari asked, arriving on the scene. Her children glancing up at her, all smiles and excitement.
“We’re enrolling Tuk Tuk in the K-9 unit!” Linh announced, cheerfully, “we’re putting him through a series of tests first to see if he can make the cut.”
“Yeah, he’s gonna wear a badge!” Chau shouted, jumping up to his feet.
Namaari smirked, glancing down at Tuk Tuk as he looked up at her. Forcing back a laugh as the old boy looked hardly capable of walking the length from the yard to the house- let alone joining some elite unit on the police force. But, not wanting to crush her children’s eagerness, Namaari played along anyways.
“So, what is he being graded on?”
Linh, the most articulate of them all, made a point of taking the lead here. Pen raised as she, quite eloquently, explained their plan.
“Well-!” She said, dramatically, a look of utmost dignity on her face, “We decided that to be in the K-9 unit, Tuk Tuk has to pass the test of Reaction, Sense, Willpower and Speed-!”
Chau nodded, grimacing somewhat.
“He’s sort of failing speed though…” he admitted, patting the dog on his head, “he doesn’t want to move!”
Namaari knelt down, also petting the dog as she spoke.
“Well, speed isn’t everything-…maybe he’s the sort of dog that takes his time so he doesn’t make a mistake.” She countered, smiling when Tuk Tuk leaned into her touch, as if he were grateful she found a positive spin on his snail’s pace.
Linh tapped her pen to her head, putting on the most ridiculous “thinking face” Namaari had ever seen.
“Well-…okay!” She sighed, “but you have to ace your other tests Tuk Tuk if you plan on being a police dog!”
The next test was “Sense”, which the kids explained to Namaari (as if she didn’t know) that they would be testing him on his ability to “sniff out the bad guys” as the Officer at their school had put. Taking the dog around their house to see if he could find the “missing items” they had stashed somewhere.
Problem was, he couldn’t find them and neither could the kids. Both forgetting what the items were and where they had hidden them. The task of hiding mostly up to Chau who had hastily thrown them about the house, while Linh had neglected to make a list of the items beforehand. Both distracted with setting up the other tasks.
Hopefully- it was nothing that would rot or smell in time.
Knowing their kids- it most likely was.
Namaari tried not to think of the dread she’d be facing later at finding the unknown items and focused on the next test of willpower, which had the kids each taking a handful of cheerios and setting them before Tuk Tuk. Each hoping that by doing so the dog would ‘resist’ the treat he usually got for training purposes.
Tuk Tuk resisted the Cheerios, to even Namaari’s surprise, until he waddled over to the couch and stuck his head between the cushions. Digging, searching for something that none of them knew what it was until his head pulled free and a long piece of what looked to be deli meat was taken from the couch.
One of the items the kids had hidden.
“Oops…”Chau said, wincing at Namaari’s disapproving look. “I guess he passed the sense test-…?”
“But not the willpower…” Linh sighed, marking it down on her paper awkwardly.
They took a break to look for the remaining items. Now realizing it had indeed been food, finding at least nine pieces of turkey slices throughout the house. One discussion on “not wasting food” later, they were on their final test. Reaction time, which Namaari knew he would fail.
Still- the kids tried it. They threw his favorite toys and, slow and steady, the dog went at his own pace to retrieve them once they had urged him enough times that he must have gotten sick of them harping about it. Waddling across the yard, sniffing the toy, only to plop down on the grass lazily. Enjoying the heat of the sun on his old bones.
They tried other ways to make him react. From more toys being thrown, gasping dramatically and pretending their was an emergency, to the kids pretending to get into a fight that turned into a real fight where Namaari had to physically pull them apart. Tuk Tuk rolling onto his back then, without a care in the world.
Defeated, the kids sat then in the back yard. Linh scribbling her test results on the paper while Chau fixated on a blade of grass. Both pouting, trying to figure out some way to get Tuk Tuk to pass the tests they had set out for him. Namaari sitting along with them, noting their soured mood.
“You know-…” she began, “it’s okay if Tuk Tuk doesn’t make the cut-“
“But he has to!” Linh whined, turning her attention onto her Mother then instead of the pad of paper. “We want him to be a K-9!”
“Yeah, so he can protect us and stuff.” Chau added, “like the police dog does.”
“But Tuk Tuk does protect us?” Namaari said, voice humored. Especially when both kids looked from the dog to her, basically saying ‘really-..?’ with their eyes. “He may not be fast or young anymore, but he does all the same.”
“How?” Chau asked, genuinely curious.
“Well-…like right now.” She began, “he’s been with you all day.”
“Yeah, sleeping.” Linh stated.
“But he’s there, regardless.” Namaari continued, “in fact Tuk Tuk hasn’t left either of your sides since the day we brought you home from the hospital.”
“He used to sit by your cribs at night, used to come wake me or your Mom if he heard either of you crying.” She mentioned, both kids seeming surprised by this, “he followed you around as you played- still does actually, maybe not as quickly as he used to..but he does so because he wants to make sure you two are okay.”
“When you’re sleeping and he comes to lay with you in bed.” She began, “he’s there to comfort you from your bad dreams..-and he watches over you at night when you sleep.”. She motioned towards the dog, continuing on. “He sits with you when you cry and listens to you when your upset,” she added, “Tuk Tuk is old and his body is more tired now than it used to be-…but he does his best to help in his own way- protecting us in ways that are different than just being tough or fast, like how he protects our hearts from feeling lonely or sad.”
Both kids thought on that, quietly acknowledging the dog from afar. Seeing him in a different light. Namaari humored then as she realized something as well.
“Plus-…I do think one of your tests wasn’t accurate.” She joked.
“How?!” Linh huffed, defensive at being told she was “wrong”.
“Yeah- our tests were really good!” Chau added, equally offended.
“Cause both of you judged his reaction time on you two fighting-“ Namaari laughed, “you two bicker all the time- he knows you wouldn’t actually hurt each other.”
Linh and Chau paused, considering it.
“Huh-…I guess that’s tru-“ Chau began, laughing.
Humored, that is, until Linh wound back and decked him hard against his head. The boy crumpling to the ground, stunned at first, then shrieking as the pain clearly found him.
“AUGH MOM?!?!!” Chau sobbed, covering the spot Linh had hit him at. “LINH HIT ME!?!” He yelled, as if Namaari didn’t just witness it.
“Linh!” Namaari scolded, shocked by her actions-
But not really.
Linh once again wore an offended expression on her face, an attitude that was all Raya in a single look.
“What-?” She whined, “you said Tuk Tuk wouldn’t react if I didn’t actually hit him?!”
“That’s not what I meant, Linh!” She sighed as she stood, helping Chau to his feet. “And- I didn’t say that either.”
Linh pouted, realizing she was in trouble now, until her attention moved to across the yard. At the dog, which was waddling quickly towards them, barking at the pair of them. At Linh, as if he was saying “cut that out!”
His movements ‘speedy’, his ‘reaction’ strong, ‘sensing’ something new and yet bad had occurred between the two siblings. His ‘willpower’ to get to them urging him to walk the space across the yard despite his sore bones.
All of them, even Chau who had stopped crying, glancing at the dog. All of them seeing it, but the kids reacting to him happily.
“Yay, it worked!” Linh squealed in delight, “good job, Tuk Tuk!”
Chau began jumping on his toes, his sore head forgotten.
“Way to go,” he beamed, “I knew you could pass-!”
Namaari watched as the kids ran around the confused dog, Tuk Tuk looking at the two as they happily ran around. Looking then to Namaari as if he were to say, “what is going on?”. Namaari giving him a shrug back, sighing at the pair of them but still smiling. Happy to see them celebrate their family member that definitely deserved it.
~~~~~~~
The kids moved on from their new obsession with the K-9 unit by the end of that afternoon. Both playing together or off on their own, having Namaari wonder if they had gotten the point of her talk or not. Wanting them to appreciate him, to respect him for everything he’s done, showing a kindness to the elderly creature.
She couldn’t be a hundred percent certain it stuck, not until the evening arrived and each of the kids were sitting on the couch with Tuk Tuk. Chau giving his head tiny kisses every now and then, petting him softly while Linh leaned against him affectionately. Namaari putting them to bed shortly after where Linh made the comment-
“I love Tuk Tuk the way he is.”
Namaari smirked, tucking her in.
“Changed your mind I see?”
“No- I always liked him a lot,” Linh mentioned, “I just like him more now and I think it’s better he’s not a police dog.”. She settled in, yawning. “He’d be at work all the time and I’d miss him.” She added, sounding exhausted.
Namaari kissed her forehead, “me too.”
A welcomed silence came then as Namaari went to turn off the lights. Nearly to the door when-
“So, maybe since I learned a lot today, and maybe since I am going to bed so well and not even crying about it at all-“ Linh stated, “maybe I can not be grounded?”
Namaari swallowed her laugh.
“Nice try, still grounded.” She mentioned, shaking her head as he daughter tried very hard not to roll her eyes.
“Fine, I’ll prepare some notes tomorrow for my case.” She said, sounding much too like an adult then in a tiny kids body. “Let’s meet at the table once you’ve had your coffee.”
Negotiating already?
God- they were in trouble.
~~~~BONUS SCENE~~~~
Linh: (pushing her chalkboard into the living room with the words “why I shouldn’t be grounded “ on them)
Namaari and Raya: (sitting on the couch, watching Linh get set up with her notes)
Linh: Good morning ladies and-…ladies. I would like to begin by-
Raya: you’re still grounded Linh-
Linh: WHAT?! I don’t even get to plead my case?! I’m innocent until proven guilty!
Namaari: Linh, you punched your brother right in front of me-
Linh: but everyone has a right to a fair trial! Im hoping to plead insanity-
Raya: okay…no more daytime court tv for you…

palm smack them upside the head. With Cheslock or Drossel.
nonverbal starters
palm smack them upside the head.
I did Drossel just because he needs more love!
tho I did set this in the days before he died and became a puppet, so this is what his life was like back when he was alive and “himself” and working for the Mandalay family, so, that’s why he may seem a bit out of character for the version of him we see with the temporary soul <3
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There’s only ever one reason to visit the Mandalay Estate, and that’s to spend time with DROSSEL.
Inevitably, this means also spending time with Laura Mandalay; being the family’s puppeteer, he entertains her whilst her parents are busy and is her best friend. He somehow is able to look after her just like a governess would, all the while putting a smile on her face. You don’t truly mind, because she’s such a sweet little girl, and your beloved being her best friend makes you her second best, by default.
This also means you pass nights here, in front of the fire, sitting in Drossel’s lap as he attempts to find a story which satisfies Laura enough to lull her to sleep. Most of the time, this is quite a peaceful scene.
Tonight, however, the child complains that she’s heard all of Drossel’s fairytales before, begging him to make up one just for her. He obliges… and when he procures the doll he’s made in your likeness, beginning the tale with, “Once upon a time, there was a beautiful princess called (Name)”, you reach up and lightly smack your hand against the back of his head.
Of course, he wouldn’t be any puppeteer worth his salt if he couldn’t keep going through a bit of heckling. So he then pulls out the doll he’s fashioned in his own image. “The princess was quite lonely, but one day, she met a toymaker named Drossel.”
You give him another gentle whack, and Laura smothers a fit of giggles. Your beau gives you a curious glance, but after all, whatever the two of you are doing is entertaining the Mandalay heiress. (Really, what are you doing other than being in love?)
With this, he hands you the figure representing yourself, and displays his clearly. The little Drossel doll mimes giving the (Name) doll a kiss on the cheek. “And the toymaker said to her, ‘You are the fairest lady in all the land,’ and he gave her a music box in the shape of a locket.”
“Wait!” Laura speaks up. “He’s a toymaker, not a clockmaker. How does he know how to make a music box?”
Drossel’s eyebrow quirks up. “… He is a man of many talents. And for his fair lady, he would learn to do anything.”
And you give him another smack; this time, he exaggerates his reaction to it by letting his neck go forward. The look he gives you is almost wounded, an acted expression of, Oh, my love, how could you?
In response, you tip your doll over to ‘kiss’ his doll on the cheek. “He would indeed,” you hum. “And so would she for him. She cherishes her music box, playing it every day.”
“Is she telling the story now, as well?” Drossel hums. “Instead of―”
Almost as if on cue, there’s your hand against the back of his head again. This time it seems to surprise him, and it gets a chuckle out of him as well as making Laura laugh.
He clears his throat, attempting to recover quickly. Though, it’s clear by the slight rose tint in his cheeks that he’s a bit flustered by your teasing. “I thought to myself… I rather suppose I deserved that.”
By now, despite the fact that you’re all laughing, you can see that Laura is starting to blink with sleep in her eyes. Drossel gives you a gentle push which prompts you to stand up from your admittedly comfortable spot on his lap. He bends to scoop Laura into his arms, and she nestles readily up against his chest with a yawn.
With you following close by, he starts down the hallway. “Ah, well, it seems it’s time for the young mistress to retire. Let’s put you to bed, Lady Laura.”
“But Drossel,” she mumbles even as you open the door to her room, “how… how does the story end? What happens to the princess and the toymaker?”
“Hm. A good question.” He sets her down in bed, pulling the covers over her. “We could save it for tomorrow night.”
“Nooooo. I won’t be able to sleep till I hear the ending!”
Another soft breath of a chuckle escapes him. “Alright, alright. Well, you see, the princess invites the toymaker to live with her in her castle. And then, he gives her an idea… that if she is lonely, she might take in those children in her kingdom who don’t have parents. So she decides to do so.”
“All of them?” Laura sounds incredulous.
“Ah, well… her kingdom is not very big,” he confesses. “The two of them take in three… maybe four or five children.”
“Mmmh… and what then…?”
“What then?” He leans down and gives her a small kiss on the forehead, as is the routine between them. “Why, this story ends the way they all do.”
In return, she kisses his cheek. “Happily ever after?”
He smiles and leans to blow out the candle you brought along from the other room. “Happily ever after. Goodnight, Lady Laura.”
The two of you get no reply, and you both creep out of the room. As soon as you’re outside, you slip your arms around his neck, coming in for a kiss. He meets you gladly, arms coming down around your waist.
“What did you think of the ending?” he muses. “I reasoned… it was nice enough. A bit different from some others.”
“Oh, it was quite lovely. You should make up stories of your own for her more often; you’re such a creative mind, Drossel.”
You pause, then give him a smirk. “… Three, four, five children, my love? How many do you really want?”
His face colors, and all he can give you is a sheepish smile in response. “How many do you want?”
Without fail, this earns him yet another connection of your palm with the back of his head ― that, and another kiss.
At least no one can ever claim things to be dull between the two of you.

Homstuck Fic (2019/06/13)
It was common knowledge at school that Karkat Vantas was a loser.
There was plenty of reasons for this, none that were actually good or reasonable, but they were enough to make most agree with that statement.
Karkat was rather poor, his brother was a dick, his mother liked to drink until she collapsed, his father committed suicide recently, he was incredibly short and extremely skinny, and all of the popular kids liked to tease him, which made everyone else hate him.
But not Dave.
When Dave first came to Karkat's school, Karkat was certain he was gonna join the popular kids and become a new bully he'd have to deal with, but Dave proved him wrong the first time he saw Eridan and his friends picking on Karkat during lunch.
They had dumped food on him and made a huge scene in front of everyone about how they heard his mother overdosed and nearly died. It had been a humiliating day for Karkat, he just wanted to curl up in a hole and die.
But Dave stood up for him, and yelled at everyone who was laughing, asking them how they'd feel if their parents almost died. Most were quickly to stop laughing and turn against Eridan.
Karkat had been in shock, he never thought that anyone would defend him. Cause why bother? Why would anyone care about him? This kid didn't even know him, but it didn't matter.
They ate lunch together that day (Dave had shared his food with Karkat) and just talked about their interests. Dave noticed how much louder and passionate Karkat got about everything when he warmed up to someone, and he really liked that.
What he didn't like was how quiet Karkat acted during school, because he didn't want to make any trouble.
Well news flash, trouble finds him anyways.
His father killed himself only a week ago, and today was Karkat's first day back at school. It had been a really hard thing to go through, he loved his father and they got along so well, he wanted to keep making nice memories with him.
But it was too late for that now.
Karkat sat down in the only available seat left, which was next to Dave but in front of Eridan. It was the perfect seat but also the worst seat.
He tried to focus on what the teacher said, but Eridan started talking.
"Finally back huh? I thought you would've jumped by now. I see you've still got the long sleeves, add anymore scars to your collection?" He taunted quietly from behind Karkat.
It was offensive, and hurtful. Karkat had never once hurt himself through any of the things that happened to him. Sure, he might cry himself to sleep or scream at himself in the mirror, but he never cut himself.
But of course, he actually had been playing with a cat, a cat that belonged to Dave, and it scratched the hell out of him. So the next day, Eridan assumed he had started cutting.
It bothered him, hearing Eridan say those things, but mostly because it was insulting to anyone who actually did do that to themselves.
He wouldn't let it get to him though. Eridan just wants to get a reaction out of him.
Dave took Karkat's hand under the desk and held it tightly, rubbing his thumb over it to try and comfort him.
"Why don't you go and kill yourself like your father did? We'd all be a lot happier here." Eridan hissed in your ear.
Before Karkat could even finish processing the words Eridan said, Dave had spun around and punched him square in the face, hard enough to break his nose.
Eridan screamed in pain as he fell out of his chair holding his nose that was now bleeding. "SON OF A BITCH!"
"Wanna say that again!?" Dave snapped, giving absolutely no shits about the teacher heading their way.
"Dave stop it!" Karkat whispered in a snippy tone, tugging at Dave's arm to get him to chill out.
They got sent to detention, and Eridan had to go to the hospital.
~~~
Karkat stormed into his house, Dave following in behind him. "You just had to make a scene!" He snapped.
"He told you to kill yourself." Dave snapped.
"So what? He tells me that shit every fucking time I see him. I've told you before Dave, it doesn't even bother me! What does bother me is having to get sent to detention because SOMEONE HAD TO PUNCH HIM IN THE FUCKING FACE!" Karkat ranted, glaring up at Dave.
Dave bit his lip. Karkat couldn't see his eyes because of his shades, but it didn't matter. Ever since they met Dave had been terrible at hiding his emotions from Karkat, even when he wanted to. He didn't need to look into Dave's eyes right now to know he was pissed. "I wasn't going to sit there and do nothing while he was being a dick to you. I know you're blind to it Karkat, but you deserve better. It might not bother you now, but you could wake up one day and realize that it actually does, and you might listen and then you'll die and the idea of that happening really fucking scares me!" He ranted, Karkat could tell he was working himself up into a panic attack.
He hugged Dave gently. "Dave...stop...it's okay. I'm not going anywhere...I promise. As long as I have you, I'll always have a reason to live. I'm not gonna leave you here by yourself." He spoke softly. Dave was trembling, but Karkat would take that any day over tears. He knew somewhat what Dave's childhood was like, and it wasn't very happy.
He was never sure if someone would come back or not, and Karkat wasn't about to leave him.
Taking a deep breath, Dave nodded. "Okay...shit sorry about that, I'm cool now." He told him rather confidently, breaking their hug. He smiled at Karkat.
"...Wanna go watch a movie?" Karkat asked with a smile.
Dave grinned. "Always." He wrapped an arm around Karkat's shoulders and they headed to Karkat's room to watch a movie.
Hello could i request the boys (chifuyu,baji,angry) finding out the readers father is a yakuza boss,
Its the same request like you did with mikey,draken and mitsuya.
(Sorry if my englisch is not good)
❀ THE BOSS’ DAUGHTER (2) | TOKYO REVENGERS
;; the boys find out their s/o is the daughter of a big time yakuza boss
🥛 — matsuno chifuyu, baji keisuke, kawata angry souya
🧾 — gender neutral, second pov (you/your), cursing, fluff, family, au - everyone lives / nobody dies, au - highschool, established relationship, headcanon
✉ — i'm finally back! sorry for disappearing...
🔖 — [ 1 | 2 ]
Tumblr media
; MATSUNO CHIFUYU
↠ In his defense, Chifuyu wasn’t that updated with the gangs around. That’s Yamagishi’s job.
↠ So it was all fine and dandy.
↠ Chifuyu just had to love you so much that he thought about introducing himself to your parents because it was right to do so.
↠ You loved that about him. Despite being a delinquent through and through, Chifuyu always maintained his grades and knew who and how to respect. (You have to thank Baji for that. According to him, Chifuyu was a menace-)
↠ There was no prior preparation whatsoever.
↠ You just dragged him to your house where you knew your father would be.
“Wait, wait! I meant, like, next week or something? Aren’t your parents busy?”
“I already texted him though…”
↠ Chifuyu was so not ready.
↠ When the both of you stopped in front of a traditional house, men walking out, tattoos on their collarbones (or at least in the skin that showed) and shirts with prints and a jacket- Chifuyu wondered if he fucked up.
↠ He glances at you in silent question only to see you smiling happily and greeting the men. They spared him a distrustful glance but greeted you just as merrily.
“Y/n, are we in the right place?”
“Huh? Of course we are. Those guys work with my dad.”
“I love you.”
↠ He truly does. If this is the last time he can say it, he’s not going to miss the chance.
↠ You only smile, kissing him on the lips. Just as the front door slides open and your father blinks at the scene of his dear daughter kissing an unfamiliar boy in his front yard. It was not a good first impression.
↠ Chifuyu sees his life flash in front of his eyes.
“Dad! This is Chifuyu, my boyfriend.”
↠ He could only numbly greet your father, lowering his head while holding your hand tightly.
↠ Honestly, he was surprised that he was even let inside the house and told to stay for dinner.
↠ Chifuyu could only guess that he had come around when your father was in a good mood as you hum around the kitchen while he helps you and your dad lounges in the living room.
↠ Your father didn’t have much to say about him, only quietly scrutinizing him during the dinner but by then Chifuyu was already preoccupied by you telling him little stories.
↠ Most of the time, he was busy talking with you while your father observes him and his initial reactions and his mannerisms that just told a lot.
“What do you think about him?”
“He’s a good kid.”
“Of course! That’s my Chifuyu.”
Tumblr media
; BAJI KEISUKE
↠ There is just something familiar about the way you carried yourself, your looks, your mannerisms.
↠ It reminded Baji of Mikey. Mikey with a powerful brother that had a big name, Mikey who was confident (arrogant, if he’s being completely honest). You just had the same aura.
↠ It slipped his mind a few weeks into dating.
↠ But then he asked about your family since he already introduced you to his.
“Do you wanna meet my dad? I talked about you with him before and he really wanted to see you but he’s just been busy!”
“Really? Sure! As long as we aren’t taking his time.”
“I’m sure it’s no problem. He’s the oyabun so I guess he can ditch anytime. I’d probably do it if I was one.”
↠ Baji had to pause and wonder if you even knew the words that you were using.
↠ He looked at you and you were grinning so excitedly, telling him all these little things from the silverware, the possible meals, and even how he was going to call your father; Baji had long drifted off, deeper into thought.
↠ Right. Just like Mikey, you gave off that aura of someone powerful backing you up so there was no need to worry about anything. (Baji doesn’t doubt that you’re capable of pulling yourself out of a deep hole on your own as well just like his blond friend.)
↠ Fuck.
↠ Baji loves and respects his mother. If she says that you have to bow, greet, and respect your partner’s girlfriend no matter how they are (unless they hurt said partner—that’s a different story altogether), then that was what he was going to do.
↠ Please, Baji would be clearing his throat every few seconds on his way there as he keeps on adjusting his shirt and jacket.
↠ You would be the one to open the door since he personally asked you to the day before and you would almost trip over since his hair was tied up, a few of his shorter strands framing his face, his clothes clean and ironed and shoes shined.
“Kei~ I told you to not try too hard! Dad would love you!”
↠ He honestly doubts that.
↠ The first time his eyes met your father’s, Baji just had to mess it up and keep the contact for a few seconds, almost forgetting to greet him.
↠ Dinner was awkward but Baji had loosened up a little after a squeeze on his arm from you and he was smiling carelessly while your dad assesses him.
↠ He may have doubted about your dad easily accepting him but Keisuke is sure that you love him. That’s enough for him.
↠ There were times when he almost spoke out of line (like when your father commented that he could have left you for more important matters such as Toman) but Baji pulled through. Somehow.
↠ The tension wasn’t completely dissipated on the end of the dinner but it was already gone in Baji’s side. If your father keeps on giving him looks then he’s ignoring them spectacularly.
↠ When the both of you walked him out of the door, Baji giving you one last peck on the cheek and letting one last bow, he couldn’t help but overhear how you told your dad that you were being too hard on him.
↠ That was exactly why he suddenly lost all his worries in the middle of the dinner. It was because he knew that you were on his side.
; KAWATA SOUYA
↠ The topic was brought up when the two of you were hanging out in his house with Nahoya, watching a movie together.
↠ Since you already met his twin, it was only fair that he got to meet your family as well. (Nahoya was the one who pointed it out.)
↠ The date was set immediately. (Souya having almost no say in it since he just agreed to everything you and Nahoya said.)
↠ He was nervous of course but there was no time for nervousness when he still had to prepare something, a small gift, for your family. Even Nahoya who usually didn’t give any shit about respect was urging him to get something since it was only respectful to do so.
“But isn’t that for those who are planning to propose though?”
“No. Jesus, no. Just… Just get them something.”
↠ It was instilled in him earlier that the way to a person’s heart is through their stomach.
↠ Souya knows that there was a lot of reasons why you fell for him—you remind him every time you could—but he is well-aware that one of the main reason was because of his cooking.
↠ If he can make you fall for him with that then he’s sure that he can get your parents to like him with it as well.
↠ The problem was that he didn’t know what to make.
↠ He ended up borrowing one of his brother’s more formal clothes, getting help with his hair as he holds onto the package tightly, trying not to mess up the wrapping that took him an hour to get right.
↠ Souya decided to play it safe, making an assortment of sweets in case your father had any allergies.
↠ He, though, had to stop in front of a house that had a familiar emblem on it. There were a few men walking around, giving him glances but didn't do anything when he approached the door.
↠ Souya had already gotten a gist of the situation just from that.
↠ The person who opened the door was none other than your dad as you were still busy making the last setups.
“Nice to meet you, I’m Kawata Souya, your daughter’s boyfriend.”
↠ His expression was calm, the usual downturn of his lips only pulled into a thin line as he tries to stop himself from just screaming and dying right then and there because your father clearly wasn’t looking away with that glare and he could still feel the gazes in his back.
↠ He offers the little present and this time, your father’s gaze softens a little from the thoughtful gift when Souya explained that he wasn’t sure what he liked so he prepared a lot.
↠ Dinner was peaceful enough,
↠ Souya’s nicer personality shining even more the more your father looked. It was in the smallest of things, when he helped you cut that piece of beef, when he fixed the loose strand in your hair, the way he politely replies to the questions despite the seemingly permanent frown, and even how he offered to wash the dishes even though he was the guest.
“Your boyfriend is a cook. A good one?”
“It… Well, the stomach is the way to a person’s heart!”
↠ Souya smiles when he overheard the conversation.
↠ He was totally right then. There is nothing to fear when you can cook. Not even yakuzas.
