Pre-rescue Oliver! I... didn't make him thinner like I should have because I'm still not entirely sure how to do that.

The clothes donated by a bystander above (he keeps those post-rescue) and then an example of what most of his clothes looked like pre-rescue. I tried to make them look old and worn. Might add more later but the basic gist is old, worn, and thoroughly patched (he patches them himself with things from the same fabric scrap storage).

Can't believe my parents have 8 kids together, the majority of whom have textured hair and they still haven't learnt how to look after it

Luz’s hair looks more the first second picture( the one with yellow shirt with what I think are black toucans). Here’s a chart on hair type for those of you who need it.

Luz’s hair falls around the 1A-1B range. Curly hair starts at 2B, Coily starts at 3A, Kinky starts at around 3C-4A. Honestly, if Luz put a flattening iron to her hair it wouldn’t look at different. I’m more ashamed that it came from someone who’s black and knows what curly hair looks like.

Emo/scenecore spaces - namely furry spaces within these - are so overbearingly white And goyiche it's frustrating and appalling for a lot of reasons but one huge issue I've noticed is hair. Some of yall will be handed a character with 3a-4c range hair and either draw a straight up caricature afro or COMPLETELY flatten/straighten the hair because it "doesn't work in your art style". Sounds like a skill issue to me bitch if you can't draw a character's curls/braids/peyot/etc or any other kind of culturally significant hair style use Google and GET GOOD
