chocolate bubblegum birthday cake
Chocolate: When was your first kiss?
It was at this weird college summer camp thing when I was thirteen. Mostly it was to prove a point to myself and had nothing to do with actually liking the guy. That sounds horrible in hindsight, but in my defense I was freaking out about high school and growing up and all that fun drama stuff. Anyway, I didn’t really like doing it and ended up rinsing my mouth out with apple juice afterwards.
Bubblegum: Books or Movies?
Books. Books, any day of the week. I mean, I like movies a lot, movies are awesome, but if I find out the movie I’m watching was based on a book then I’m going to go read the book at some point no matter what.
Birthday Cake: Favorite Books?
That is…such a great question, holy crap, I have so many favorites! For starters, Full Metal Alchemist by Hiromu Arikawa pretty much got me through middle school it was just so. so. good. Same goes for the Cirque du Freak series by Darren Shan. I don’t read a lot of series books myself, but those I highly recommend. The Watchmen by Alan Moore is also in my top ten books…pretty much anything by Alan Moore, really. The man’s a genius. Speaking of geniuses, I’m pretty much in love with Shirley Jackson’s work….my collection of her novels is almost complete. Out of all of the ones of hers I’ve read I think I liked The Sundial and We Have Always Lived in the Castle the most. Battle Royale by Koushun Takami was really dark, but really, really good, I recommend as long as you can handle gore and psychological horror. Seriously, that book is intense. Other than that my go to favorite for books is still (and probably always will be, honestly) Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams.
