For just a few more days I encourage you get quiet and get present with how strong you are and where you’d like to be stronger. Malasana strengthens the pelvic floor, stretching the calves, the low back and opening and releasing the hips. A strong pelvic floor helps protect against incontinence even reversing it, especially after labor and delivery. A strong pelvic floor contributes to a healthy sex life, protects against prolaps and helps move prana (energy) throughout your body. A healthy, strong pelvic floor is important for both men and women. Garland pose can be hard to sink right into. It takes time and patience. If your heels do not go all the way to the ground, consider placing a folded blanket under just the heels, so you have something to press down into giving you a firm, stable foundation. Do you have week knees? Or tight hips? Try starting against a wall sinking down as low as you can., pressing your back into the wall. You can also try squatting on a block or a low stool. Or sit wide legged in a chair and fold over. Gently your hips will open a bit more each practice till you sink down without props. I’m sure we all remember where we were on this day 21 years ago (unless you weren’t born yet) We were at our new home, still in bed because we had a newborn. We had just brought him home from the hospital on Sunday, 9-11 was on a Tuesday. My older son had pre-school in the afternoon. We honestly didn’t know what had happened. I was on the phone calling the cable company trying to get it connected and my husband said tell her I need to be able to watch the news with my coffee in the morning and she said “oh so I guess you don’t know an airplane just hit the twin towers then” we were like WHAT!?! My sleepy brain couldn’t even comprehend. We found a RADIO lol and listened to everything via a radio until later that evening when we took the kids to my mother in laws and watched what she had recorded for us. Migraine is a neurological disorder that causes recurring headaches ranging from moderate to high intensity.
