on april 15th not only do we remember the victims on hillsborough, we also remember everyone who indirectly lost their lives because of hillsborough, we remember everyone who has to live with that guilt and trauma.

we remember individuals like stephen whittle, who lost their lives to the guilt and grief of hillsborough, we remember the individuals who took their lives after paris as they re-lived their traumas, we remember the individuals who died before they ever got to see an unlawfully killing verdict, we remember those who have taken their lives, not wanting to face another anniversary, we remember those who died fighting for justice, we remember those who lived that day and wished they didn't, we remember the victims families and friends who are subjected to discriminative chants.

not only do we remember the 97 and these people on the 15th, but we remember them every other day, and we will continue to fight for justice for them, we will continue to fight until everyone responsible for this disaster is held accountable.

i cannot tell you as a match going red how fucking tired i am of hearing "always the victims" and i'm not even someone who has directly been affected by the tragedy.

it is to this day the BIGGEST footballing tragedy in history and literally everytime we play someone it is chanted and then subsequently spoken about in the media so don't give me this bs about not knowing, cause you do.

you know what tragedy chanting is and you know that "always the victims" is a tragedy chant, so do better.

i am SICK of hearing victim chanting. like genuinely i am so fucking angry that in 2023 that chant is still openly sang by opposition fans.

i am also SICK of people pretending that they are unaware that the victim chant is linked to Hillsborough. if you are a football fan, especially english fans you should be aware of it and i know you are.

there are so many other things you can chant to take the piss out of us that aren't in any way related to Hillsborough eg. stevie g slipping, us only having one premier league title, real madrid dominating us every time we play them.

it is SO easy to not chant about us being the 'victims' so stop making excuses for it and stop making excuses for your mates doing it, people that go to anfield and people that travel to away grounds will have been affected by it, they may have lost relatives they may have been there, you have no idea.

one more thing, fuck the FA for doing absolutely fuck all about it, you are setting the standard that it's okay to chant about Hillsborough.
