Being The Ouran High School Host Club’s Personal Assistant

After Haruhi became a host and was no longer the “errand-boy” of the group, Kyoya decided to hire a club assistant

You were a commoner from a local school who found the application online. Kyoya ended up hiring you because all the girls who applied from Ouran and other rich schools were only interested in getting close to the boys.

You didn’t even know who they were, and you had the perfect “commoner’s work ethic” that he was looking for

So, everyday after school, you’d walk up to the enormous gates of Ouran Academy to start your new part time job

Your job isn’t too difficult. You prepare tea and instant coffee, bake cakes, clean up at the end of the day, make runs to the grocery store, sell merchandise, and help Kyoya prepare for special events

The twins had some cute clothes from their mom’s fashion line brought in for you to wear as uniform

Speaking of the twins, they IMMEDIATELY take a liking to you (little devils)

They’re practically attached to your hip everytime they’re not with guests, asking you what you’re doing, what your school is like, how your grades are…

But that doesn’t stop them from accidentally giving you too many orders…

Tamaki tried to make you swoon right away, kissing your hand and offering you a rose

Kyoya had to shoo him away

“Tamaki that’s not a customer, please don’t make them fall in love with you”

But after that, Tamaki develops a fatherly persona around you, much like he did with Haruhi at first

He’s always applauding you when you do something difficult, worrying about your feelings, apologizing profusely when something bad happens…

But that also doesn’t stop HIM from accidentally giving you too many orders

Kyoya might be a little strict, but he would be lying if he said he didn’t feel a bit protective over you

One time when you were walking up to the music room a group of guys from Ouran started hitting on you, and Kyoya came up behind you and put his arm around your waist, immediately scaring them off

You’re wonderful at managing his stress. Often times after everyone goes home, you’ll find him buried in paperwork at his laptop, and you’ll just set a cup of tea down next to him and ask him what you can do to help

He really appreciates your hard work, even if he doesn’t really like saying it out loud. You’ll notice that he sometimes leaves you little gifts in the kitchen, like fancy tea cups or flowers 😊

Honey LOVES you. He jumped right into your arms as soon as you walked through the door.

Mori just scooped him up and apologized, telling you this was just how Mitskuni was

Honey is constantly jumping in your lap and snuggling up to you (partially bc you make his favorite cakes for him) and it makes all the other guys jealous

He says you make the best cake in the world, and even asks you to teach him how you make it!

And you’re the only one he lets hold usu-chan 🥰

Mori has a special relationship with you. You’ll often initiate conversations with him, and the other members are so shocked to see him actually opening up to you

He always compliments you on what a good job you’re doing, thanking you for taking care of them all so well ❤️

He also has a habit of just picking you up and carrying you away from the kitchen whenever he thinks you’re working too hard 😳

Haruhi literally becomes your best friend

She won’t hesitate to yell at Tamaki and the twins for ordering you around too much

She always offers to help you with your chores! She also had that “commoners work ethic” so she really doesn’t mind accompanying you to the grocery store or boiling some water while you frost the cakes

Tamaki gets SO jealous when he sees you and Haruhi hanging out at the mall on your own over the weekend

He actually ends up shyly approaching you to ask how he can get Haruhi to like him 🥹

Renge was a little jealous of you at first, thinking you were taking her job as manager, but when she found out you were a commoner, and an assistant, she felt more comfortable around you

She has you pull the lever for her rising platform, install new “powerful motors” in different locations for her to pop up out of, and bring her microphones

One time the generator died and you just stacked two tables on top of each other and held a fog machine in front of her 💀

She somehow gets you into some of her otaku interests, making you laugh over the character that resembled Kyoya

After a while you met Nekozawa

He crept his head out of the door and invited you over to visit the dark magic club, and your curiosity got the best of you

Kyoya noticed you were missing and burst through the doors to see you sprawled out on the floor over a pentagram, Nekozawa chanting overtop of you 💀

Kyoya immediately scooped you up and went OFF on Nekozawa 😳

“If you EVER try to use my valued assistant as a human sacrifice again I SWEAR the Ootori family will END you!”

God help you if you ever have any problems with bullies at your school

The host club will suddenly appear behind you and intimidate the heck out of them

You’re a part of the Host Club family now! They’re not going to let anyone push you around!

They also start lovingly intruding on your personal life (Haruhi will help you cope with this)

They’ll invite you on outings with them as well, like to the water park or on vacations with them

Overall, being the personal assistant to the Ouran High School Host Club is a lot of fun. It’s certainly an experience you’ll never forget :)

Ouran High School Host Club members VS a piñata

Mori: Average hit with a respectable amount of strength. Not too aggressive, but also strong enough that you don’t accuse him of not trying, especially if the bat is still in his hands.

Honey: Can’t reach it. Complains about lowering the rope. He swings with all his strength... and the asshole Hikaru pulls the rope so it goes back up and Honey misses. This continues on for about 15 seconds until Hikaru becomes the new piñata.

Tamaki: 10/10 lead up and flourish, 0/10 results and actual performance.

Kaoru: Swings the bat like it’s fucking baseball. He would’ve hit a homerun. Kaoru receives an email the next day about joining the team.

Hikaru: After getting his ass beat by Honey, his swing is not as strong as expected, but he still manages to decapitate the piñata.

Kyoya: Goes absolutely feral. Everyone else was allowed two tries, but this motherfucker suddenly can’t count. And honestly? No one dares to get between Kyoya and the piñata. All of his rage and frustrations are suddenly released. There might have been a swear or two directed at Tamaki, his dad, Tamaki’s grandma, even the birds that woke him up three minutes before his alarm went off that day. In the end, the corpse of the piñata is beaten and on the ground, guts of candy crushed and sprinkled on the grounds. The twins clap and say “wooow, well done. That’ll teach him a lesson,” in unison. They knock it off when they see the look he shoots them with the bat still in hand.

Haruhi: Didn’t even get a turn. Sighs as she pretends to hit the hollowed out remainder of a leg. At least she got some fancy candy.

reasons each of the hosts are banned from driving haruhi’s car:

honey: one time haruhi saw him driving at a speed they didn’t know cars could go at and now they’re deeply afraid of honey going too fast and flipping the car when going around a corner. honey is convinced this is ridiculous but does respect the rule.

mori: not technically banned from driving but whenever he has to drive he has to change the seat and wheel placement, and haruhi has banned him from doing that because it’s too much work to put it back and find the sweet spot they like it at.

kyoya: gay. can’t drive.

tamaki: haruhi knows what that boy’s attention span is like. he’s not getting within two feet of the driver’s seat. haruhi is convinced he would see a pretty view on the side of the road, look over, and drive straight into oncoming traffic.

hikaru: simply does not know how to operate a vehicle. one time haruhi offers to teach him and he speeds straight through a stop sign and red light, one after another, and does not see the issue with this. “well, everyone stopped for me, didn’t they? nothing bad happened!” “pull over. put the car in park. now get the fuck out of the driver’s seat.”

a/n; this took so much energy, and i’m having an ohshc obsession so bear with me.

Haruhi Fujioka

The most subtle out of anyone

You didn't know she liked you, and don’t even act like you did because other than maybe a short awkward chuckle and the tiniest of blushes she doesn’t show any signs of liking you in that way.

The two of you probably have the same class, or you have some sort of connection with the Host Club, or maybe you know her father, I’ll leave that part to you.

“What?” Her face was contorted into one of confusion. Did she hear you correctly? She’s likely dreaming.

“I said I, uhm I really– like really like you.” You stood there twiddling with your clothes, feet nervously rocking back and forth on the marbled floors.

“I–I mean if you aren’t interested then just,” you paused dropping your head at the lack of her words, I mean who could blame you for falling for her; shes beautiful, and she has all of the redeeming qualities you could ask for. “just forget I said anything.” Regret started to settle in as you could feel the stares of the other host club members, the looks of pity.

Haruhi sputtered some incoherent sentences before she chuckles and scratched the back of her head nervously her other hand making a few random gestures

“I mean I’ve had a crush on you for some time now, I just had to think about what you said, haha.” Your head shot up a blush covered your face your hands grasping your clothes tightly–likely going to cause wrinkles.

“You do?!” She nodded profusely, and grasped one of your hands with both of hers.

“Would you like to go out with me?” She asked giving that signature smile of her that made your heart skip a beat.

“Make it a date.” You smiled a genuine laugh coming after.

Hikaru Hitachiin

Could use some work, but it’s not as noticeable

You know he likes you because he gets snappy with you and anyone else who talks to you. Unless you’re dense you probably knew he liked you

And Tamaki definitely told you out of spite even if you didn’t know.

“ Hitachiin Hikaru,

You may be a twin, but individuality is there. You and him are way different from each other than you think and I’ve only fallen for one of you, and it was you.

I couldn’t hide these growing feelings from you any longer, I was in denial because I didn’t think you’d ever like me back and I couldn't take another heartbreak, but I trust you

more than I should.

Meet me at the gazebo in the middle of the garden, I have so much more to tell you. In person.

His eyes widened as he read the letter that fell from his locker.

“What’s that?” Kaoru’s voice was heard from beside him.

“Nothing!” Hikaru shoved the letter behind his back and passed it off as ‘just an unfinished essay for a class’.

“But we haven’t had any essays for any classes.”

“It’s a love letter, ooh Hikaru has a crush.” Tamaki said in a sing song voice from behind, having stolen and read the letter.

“Hey! Give that back!” Hikaru snatched the letter and slammed the locker door and ran off leaving Tamaki and Kaoru to snicker to themselves about his love life.

You sat in the gazebo fiddling with a rose that has fallen off of the hedges. ‘Is he not coming?’ You heaved a large sigh and lay your head down. You had skipped class for this and he wasn’t even gonna show.

You stood up from the gazebo and started to make your way out of the garden, thinking of an excuse for when you show up late.

“Ouch.” You ran into someone and had been knocked over.

“I found you, I’ve been looking for you everywhere,” You looked at him as he crouched down and grabbed you by the shoulders, his face ever so close to yours. “I–I got the letter, I’ve been in love with you since forever. I didn’t know you felt the same way.” He was obviously in a panic. He stopped talking and you just stared at him as his head dropped on your shoulder, pulling you into a hug. You wrapped your arms around him reciprocating the action.

Kaoru Hitachiin

He’s not subtle or secretive at all.

My boy treats you so well when he has a crush on you. Hes not snappy or petty, will cry if you ignore him.

Unless your blind and deaf you probably know he likes you.

He probably told you before, but for the sake of this scenario you are telling him first.

“I need to tell you something,” You whispered to Kaoru not to get anyone else's attention. “in private.”

“What is it?” He quirked a brow at you waiting for you to continue.

“I’ve wanted to tell you for a while, but I was scared, but,”

“Kaoru!? Where’d you go!” Tamakis voice could be heard from around the corner. You hadn’t had a chance to be along with him an now that you were it was being stolen from you.

“Oh, I think they nee–”

“I love you!” You shouted your hands clenching into a fist your eyes closed tightly. His face lit up with a smile and he laughed stepping towards you and patting you on the head.

“I love you too,” He kissed your forehead. “but I think I’m needed in the club.” He said and ran off.

And there you stood face blood red and [e. colour] eyes staring at the ground, he was so calm about it.

- You and him were in the same class together, he sat behind you, occasionally passing notes to get some answers he missed

- Overtime you two would just pass notes to talk, and that turned into walking out of class together; then to class together

- Eventually you and Tamaki began to date, but it had to be kept a secret ofc; if word got out that the prince of the school was dating someone in the school, it could end badly

(by badly i mean everyone will think you’re with him for fame)

- Secretly dating Tamaki means sneaking out of class and making out in the club room

- Or hanging out in the hedge maze until the school bell rang for the second time

- Making sure you went inside safely he’d wave you off from the car as he noticed you staring from a window; you waved back, he left you with a slight smile

- He needed a tutor for a specific class and you were a voluntary student; sessions began after school in the library; you brought him tea on the first day

- Quickly Mori grew romantic feelings towards you but never knew how to express them; when he did it was quick and simple he simply spoke “I like you.” and left you to do the rest

- But when you two began dating, he’d talk a little more; asking how your day went or if you wanted to hang out

- Things in the relationship moved fast, but not too fast; although the both of you kissed on rare occasions you and him would get really shy over small things like eating in front of each other

- That quickly went away though and you two became more and more comfortable ever since Mori dropped condiments on his uniform, and how you fell out of your chair one time in class

- The more you got to know him the more your tiny crush grew; and when you two began to date he’d gift you even more gifts

(or surprises like going out for ice cream after school)

- When the two of you did go out; it was usually somewhere small in town like an ice cream shop or a restaurant you really liked there

- But when he took you shopping there wasn’t a budget he’d always tell you to get what you want, but ofc like the good girlfriend you are, you got stuff that was at a good price and never went over $100

- At school he didn’t really care if anyone saw you two together, as long as you two were happy that is all that matters to him

- Sometimes when the two of you were alone in the club room he’d go down on you on the couch

- Unlike his twin brother, Hikaru is very bold in a relationship; he never told you how he felt because he was always in denial to himself

- So ofc it forced you to make the first move, and surprisingly he wasn’t too scared of the romance he had felt with you, and once he was more comfortable with himself he was all out

- Buying you dresses or cute clothes he knew you’d like, he’s a gift giver

(something he shares with his brother)

- And also he is a HUGE fan of pda, it’s his thing; either putting an arm around you in school or a kiss on the forehead as you walked into your class

- Also holding hands is an absolute MUST for him, he at least has to be touching you at all times in some kind of way

- Like holding your hand under a table or squeezing your pinky, or even having a hand on your thigh

- Speaking of thighs, he loves to give you hickeys on them; and in between them

- Haruhi didn’t completely know she had feelings for you, but she knew you were special to her

- So (like with Hikaru) you had to make the first move, and you explained to her that she feels the same way; you’ve always noticed the way she’s look at you

- The first week of dating Haruhi was hesitant to touch you, she thought it might make you uncomfortable but she got some reassurance when you first held her hand at school

- Ofc a few people were angry that you and Haruhi were together but you two didn’t care, in fact the both of you would make it even more known

(not to the extent though)

- Small things like kisses on cheeks, or leaning on each other in the garden as you read a book or while she studied

- And definitely laughing at people who would talk abt how annoying you two would be by making it public

- Haruhi isn’t really the type to do anything spicy or freaky but she’d have these thoughts that made her feel a little guilty and whenever you asked her what she’d be thnking abt she’d be so quick to say nothing and blush

🌸 Tamaki is obviously very flamboyant in nature and super pushy, but he’s also the sweetest man you’ve ever met.

🌸 And sure he puts on that show for the host club ladies, but you aren’t a host club lady, you never were. You used to despise Tamaki Suoh.

🌸 But then one day, he watched a group of boys mess with you in the courtyard, and he didn’t just stand by.

🌸 After kicking one guy to the ground, He threatened all of them, using his father’s power against them (a move he learned from Kyoya), and sent the boys running with their tails between their legs.

🌸 After that, you decided to take time to get to know Tamaki. Being his girlfriend though, that was a secret to anyone outside of direct host club members.

🌸 And they all loved you. You’d get to hang out with them. Being in the same class as Tamaki and Kyoya, you spent most of your time with them during the day.

🌸 But host club hours were your favorite part.

🌸 Tamaki would find some time to sneak away with you and just hold you for a moment, just so you knew he loved you.

🌸 He’d bring you flowers every Saturday, always your favorites of course. He’d love to take you out on food dates and shopping trips, he’d love to buy you things.

🌸 But most of all, Tamaki loved holding your hand. 🌸 You’re the first girl he’s truly loved, and he loves being able to do simple things like walk down a street together.

🌸 He’d play piano for you, all the time. The songs he’d play would tell you how he was feeling that day, but whether you knew it or not, moments like this he spent with you were the best part of his day.

Kyoya Ootori

🌸 Kyoya is a man that hardly shows any kind of happiness. That being said, you truly enamored him when the two of you first met.

🌸 You had met outside of Ouran entirely. Fuyumi had extended an invite to the Ootori group’s Christmas party to one of her friends from work. They would be bringing a sister, and that was all Kyoya knew.

🌸 He’ll first ask you your name, and then he’ll compliment how lovely that sounds, repeating it back to you, making your heart race.

🌸 But after he gets your phone number, he’d start calling you to ask you out on dates. He’d take you to all kinds of beautiful places like butterfly sanctuaries and botanical gardens.

🌸 After he’d ask you to be his girlfriend though, he’d start going the extra mile just for you. He’d take you to far away cities you’ve never seen before when you’d both have the time off from school.

🌸 He’d love exploring new cities with you as well, places he’s never been. He loves having opportunities like this with you, sharing these experiences together makes these memories feel that much more special.

🌸 I feel like Kyoya’s love language would be gift giving and words of affirmation. He’d love to give you gifts and then tell you how much you mean to him.

🌸 During class hours, he’d pass you notes. Little notes with doodles of you. They’d say some little compliment on them, something about how your hair looks today or how radiant your smile was.

🌸 In private, Kyoya was very touchy. He loved hugs believe it or not, but only your hugs. He’d lay with you for a while and just play with your hair.

🌸 When it came to the host club, Kyoya would try to keep you as far away from the band of idiots as he could.

🌸 But you’d always sneak in for a little piece of cake and some time with Kyoya, and he never truly minded it.

Hikaru Hitachiin

🌸 We all know that Hikaru is insecure. He does know how to be confident, but when it comes to himself and his romantic feelings, he doesn’t know what to do.

🌸 He asks you to go on a little shopping date with him, and you agreed. He was surprised you had said yes, but after that it became a regular thing.

🌸 He loved watching you try on clothes, he’d compliment you in every single outfit you tried on. He thought you were ethereal.

🌸 And once you were his girlfriend, he’d surprise you with endless outfits he’d love to see you wear on your dates with him. Some of them were really well put together, while others were….too promiscuous.

🌸 He’d love to go on coffee dates with you, too. He’d even plan trips for the two of you to other cities just so you two could experience coffee in new places together.

🌸 And he’d also love to go on beach dates with you. He’d fly out to Okinawa just for a day with you in the water.

🌸 Hikaru loves to talk about himself, but he swears that there is nothing more interesting than what you have to say. If you’re telling him a story of your past, he will remember every detail.

🌸 Hikaru’s love language is definitely physical touch as well as quality time, so he’d love to have his hands on you at all times.

🌸 Linking arms when walking in the street, always snuggling you close to him when he’s asleep, sitting with his arm around you or with his hand in yours, he just loves knowing you’re right next to him.

Kaoru Hitachiin

🌸 Kaoru is the soft spoken, easygoing twin. Haruhi DID say that Hikaru was the mischievous one.

🌸 But Kaoru is a little more sure of himself than Hikaru is. And when he realized he had feelings for you, he didn’t wait to ask you out on a date.

🌸 Kaoru likes to do fun educational things I feel like. He’d take you to a planetarium or an art museum.

🌸 Or, he’d take you out to a festival. Kaoru loves dressing up with you for them, he’d have his mother make an extra matching kimono for you.

🌸 He’s definitely the type of man to take you out on picnic dates and hand feed you strawberries. You’d eat, and then he’d let you lay with your head on his lap while you both digested.

🌸 Kaoru would also like to take you out on trips, but he definitely is more of a middle-of-nowhere type of guy. He’d rather take you to the mountains of Norway or to a huge forest house in America, but he is still down to go on trips like Rio de Jenario or Berlin.

🌸 His love languages are also probably physical touch and words of affirmation.

🌸 You’ve seen how close Kaoru is with Hikaru, it’s only natural that Kaoru will also be touchy with you. He loves to simply hold your hand for the most part when you two go out.

🌸 But when you’re alone, Kaoru is the best snuggler. He loves to be big spoon, and he’ll wrap himself around you entirely as if he’s protecting you.

🌸 However, because Kaoru sometimes feels as if he’s trailing behind Hikaru instead of walking beside him, this will make him insecure.

🌸 He loves when you help reassure him of himself, and ground him again.

🌸 He also loves when you remind him of what you love about him and what makes him special to you, what sets him apart from Hikaru.

🌸 Mistkuni can be a bit of a child, but we all know he is a full grown boy and he knows it himself as well. He just doesn’t care.

🌸 So when he decided to finally ask you out, it was on a date to the aquarium. Of course he had to ask if Usa-chan could come along with you two.

🌸 He’s obviously very into sweets. And once you were his girlfriend, he’d love to take you out on bakery dates and buy you any sweets you’d want.

🌸 He’d also probably be the picnic type of guy. He’d love to have a nice picnic with cake, tea, Usa-chan and you, all of his favorite things.

🌸 Mitskuni is also a fun dates guy, but more like amusement parks and zoos. He loves to take you to exciting places.

🌸 He’d probably take you to Disney and make you get matching ears with him honestly, he’s that cheesy and cute.

🌸 But unfortunately Mistkuni also still has a dojo to attend to. The first time you visited his estate, watching all of the members of the dojo bow and respect him was almost humbling.

🌸 You’d watch him train on weekends before you’d be able to go out with him, but you didn’t mind. You loved seeing this side of Mitskuni.

🌸 His love languages are quality time and physical touch. Mitskuni loves to spend his time with you. You could be doing anything and he didn’t care.

🌸 We all know he takes afternoon naps, but if you take one with him he’s sure to never let you go. He would love to cuddle up to you while you’d sleep together.

🌸 Honestly, you might just be Mitskuni’s favorite person. But don’t tell Takashi that.

Takashi Morinozuka

🌸 Okay but everyone knew about Takashi turning down a girl because his priority was serving Mitskuni.

🌸 That was, until he met you on the first day of your first year at Ouran.

🌸 Takashi was a a simple man, all he really cared for before was Mitskuni. But he found himself speaking more around you, and coming to find you were listening.

🌸 And one day, you had nearly fallen down a flight of stairs, and he caught you. And in that moment, he realized just how much you could take over his heart and he’d willingly just give it to you if you merely asked.

🌸 But after making sure you were okay, Takashi did ask you out on a date. He was a simple man, and your first date was actually to a park. All he wanted to do was take a walk.

🌸 But after that, he’d take you out on dates to the animal shelters or to fun hiking trails. Takashi is a fit guy, so I feel like he’d enjoy lots of exercise dates like that.

🌸 He’d also be the type of guy to go on a bike riding date. He’d get bikes for the both of you and the two of you would ride around together all day exploring the city.

🌸 And if you really enjoy doing these things with him, he’d take you to fun places like Amsterdam or Paris, somewhere to cycle around and enjoy the sights to see.

🌸 Or, he’d take you on a cool hiking trip through the Amazon Rain Forest or through the Grand Canyon. He loves just spending that time with you.

🌸 Takashi’s love language would definitely be quality time and acts of service.

🌸 He isn’t a man of many words, even if he has more for you than most others, nor does he often display his affections, but just doing the things he enjoys with you is more than enough for him.

🌸 He would definitely carve out just a little extra time in each day just to spend it with you. Seeing you was his favorite part of the day.

Haruhi Fujioka

🌸 Haruhi doesn’t really know she likes girls yet, so when she meets you on her first day at Ouran, her heart began to race, and she didn’t really know what do think or do.

🌸 After she had joined the host club, you never said anything, but you knew she was a girl on her first day of school. She had lost her glasses, but you definitely saw right through them.

🌸 And soon after you recognized the growing crush you had on Haruhi, you began attending the host club.

🌸 But you made Haruhi just slightly more nervous than usual, and you didn’t know why. Your initial first thought was she didn’t like you. But after spending more time with her, she had asked you out on a date.

🌸 And after asking, she told you she was a girl. But you laughed, informing her you already knew, which brought about her shock afterwards.

🌸 She eventually started to laugh with you, and after that everything fell into place. She’d taken you to a bookstore in her town, and you were obsessed with it.

🌸 After that though, you would take her out on dates instead for the most part. She’d plan them sometimes, but you loved to be the one to spoil her.

🌸 You loved taking Haruhi to museums and sushi restaurants. The look on Tamaki’s face when you bragged to him about buying Haruhi fancy tuna was priceless.

🌸 And her face, the first time she tried it, was also priceless. You loved to see her happy.

🌸 Haruhi’s love languages are most likely words of affirmation and quality time. She gets tired and stressed after having to deal with the host club, so spending time with you after is always her favorite.

🌸 She loves just sitting around and drinking tea with you, watching movies until you’d fall asleep together.

Legit, for the first time he saw you, he just knew you were different. Something wasn't adding up for him-

Then he found out you were royalty..., oh god...

It doesn't matter if you're a duchess, prince, or the actual ruler or your kingdom, this boy treats you like a god.

All his time, money, and Honey's sweets, go to you! Doesn't matter how upset it makes the other girls, let's be real, mostly Honey and Kyoya, he believes you should be treated like the royal you are.

If you even want him to tone it down a little bit, and potentially not get him kicked out of his own club, then you're gonna have to be hella blunt to his face. Even then, he'll second guess your decision-

He chills out after that and pretty much treats you like a normal guest..., well, except for the fact that he doesn't and he treats you like fine china compared to everyone else.

Atleast he's actually paying attention to other girls now?

Everyone else in host club dubbed Tamaki the, "Consort" to your royalty, really just goes with Tamaki's whole prince theme.

Honestly, he really tries hard to be your prince charming, even if he comes off more so as the damsel in distress.

When you guys aren't busy with the host club or school, he loves to take you to all kinds of places.

He gets that royal life is super strict, so you haven't had the chance to experience a ton of different things, and he wants to help with that! :))

He'll take you to the mall, festivals, and kind of just..., around town. Albeit, it is all still rich people stuff, but its probably the most social interaction you have gotten in your entire life.

If anyone for some reason tries to bother you two while you are out, either since its literally Tamaki Suoh or the fact that you're royalty, I won't lie in saying that he'll literally shoo them like a dog- It's sweet, but also lowkey embarrassing for you.

He'd stop in a heartbeat if you told him to.

Bro actually can not take any criticism from you- Like, he wouldn't be able to normally, but the fact that you're royalty makes him feel worse about it...

the translation choice in hgsn to give the characters Appalachian/southern accents was so great. I know I’ve seen some reviews that say they find it annoying, but idk it’s second nature for me because it’s literally how I talk.

I especially love that Yoshiki has one despite being smart. Like the amount of times I’ve seen media where all the dumb characters have ‘hick’ accents and the smart ones have more standard accents… And the thing is, they could’ve easily not given him one. They could’ve rationalized it by saying since his mom is from Tokyo he simply never developed one, but they didn’t and I love it

It’s true, the host club could never function without a reliable flower supplier. And lucky you, your grandfather happened to own the most successful flower business in the country. That’s how you were able to afford going to Ouran Academy.

The partnership began during your first year there. You shared a few classes with Kyoya, but you were never very close with him because of his intimidating family background.

He was also a bit intimidated to talk to you because of your closed off personality, and the rumors that had been going around about you being bought from your parents by a strange old man for garden labor didn’t help.

However one day, he decided to listen in on a conversation you were having with one of your friends. You were talking about a great sale your grandfather had made to supply flowers for a government ceremony.

He immediately felt guilty for falling victim to vicious gossip, but connected the dots about your family quickly. And of course, that got the gears in his head turning.

He was still in the early planning stages of founding the Host Club with Tamaki, and securing a trustworthy flower supplier was something they had been worried about

So, being the strategic communicator he is, he smoothly approached you and invited you over to the Ootori residence for a cup of tea

You were shocked that someone with such high status as him was interested in associating with you, but as soon as you realized it was a business proposition, you opened up a bit more

You were happy to get your grandfather another customer, especially one as wealthy as Kyoya, and soon you were making plans on what flowers and what arrangements he wanted

Fast forward to now, you’re both second years and the Host Club is thriving, you almost can’t keep up with the amount of flowers they go through

Most of the work you do is behind the scenes, so you didn’t really get to interact with any of the other club members

That was, until one day when your grandfather asked you to make a delivery to the club with a huge batch of flowers so he could attend a business meeting

You were nervous, but agreed anyway. Luckily there weren’t any guests in the music room yet, just the club members

Immediately a gush of rose petals blew in front of your face, and the sight of six handsome guys greeted you

You just stood there like a deer in the headlights

Tamaki was the first to approach you, taking your hand in his and kissing the back of it

“Ah, what a beautiful blossom that’s bloomed before us as our first guest today. Would you do me the honor of telling me your name, my princess/prince/ noble?”

“Y/N?” a voice suddenly asked. You both looked over to see Kyoya entering the room, surprised to see you but not at all displeased.

“You know each other?” Tamaki gasped.

“Yes, this is Y/N Y/L/N. They’re the grandchild of our flower supplier. It’s all thanks to them that we have enough flowers for all our events.”

All the guys immediately started crowding you, asking you a million questions at once.

You were a little overwhelmed, but just smiled politely and answered all their questions.

“You’re so lovely, it’s a wonder I haven’t seen you around the academy before.” Tamaki smirked, flirtatious as always.

“Well, I tend to hang out in the shadows. Back in middle school everyone made up rumors about me and it made me a bit of a loner.” you explained with a shy chuckle.

“Yeah, I heard your parents went bankrupt and sold you to their old loan shark to get out of debt.” Hikaru commented nonchalantly.

“Yeah, and I heard you’re an indentured servant who has to do hard physical labor everyday after school.” Kaoru added.

Tamaki immediately turned around and scolded them, waving his arms and yelling at them to be more polite in the presence of a lady/ gentleman/ noble.

“It’s okay Tamaki, I’m used to them all by now.” you chuckled. “My parents actually passed away when I was younger and left me in the care of my grandfather.”

“Y/N-chan, do you help grow the flowers too?” Honey asked excitedly, gazing up at you with huge eyes.

“Yes, I do actually! My grandfather taught me everything he knows about gardening, and it’s something I really enjoy doing!” you responded.

“Wow. That’s cool.” Mori said flatly. Although you could tell it was sincere.

“Why haven’t you introduced us to them before, Kyoya-senpai?” Haruhi asked, turning to the vice-president.

“I didn’t mean to keep them from you, there was just never an avid opportunity. But I suppose now is a good a time as any to make the introduction.” Kyoya answered, adjusting his glasses and turning towards you. “Y/N, meet the Ouran High School Host Club.”

They each went down the line telling you their names and types, which was quite entertaining. You had heard of the club’s popularity but never gotten around to visiting them.

“I’m sorry we go through so many flowers. It must be difficult to grow so many.” Haruhi said sympathetically.

“Oh it’s no strain on the business, I actually tend to most of your club’s stock personally so that my grandfather can focus on his other sales.” you reassured her. “However, I do sometimes wish I could grow more plants. I could probably run an entire garden just for the Host Club!”

Tamaki’s eyes immediately lit up. “Y/N, that’s a marvelous idea!”

“Hm? Oh no, I was only joking…” you laughed nervously.

“Actually, that might be a useful investment.” Kyoya began, placing his fist under his chin in thought. “It would be nice to have our own garden and not have to worry about business transactions.”

“Senpai, Y/N can’t grow us an entire garden for free!” Haruhi exclaimed. You were touched that she was immediately on your side.

“Don’t be silly, we’ll pay them an adequate salary.” Kyoya told you. “And of course a small share will be given to their grandfathers business as a courtesy.”

“I want to grow lots of pink flowers!” Honey cheered, jumping up and down in excitement.

“Think of all the schemes we could pull with a whole garden of flowers at our disposal!” the twins beamed in unison, joining hands and twirling around.

“I can see it now… lush bushes of roses and hydrangeas, hanging branches of cherry blossoms and orchids, cobblestone paths lined with lillies and tulips!” Tamaki declared, striking a grand pose at the center of the room. “Get ready men, because soon the Ouran Host Club will have a brand new garden!”

You looked around at all the chaos unfolding before you. Kyoya was already typing up a budget on his computer, Mori was chasing Honey around the room as he threw handfuls of rose petals in the air, and Haruhi just stood there with her head in her hands.

“I had to make a joke, didn’t I…” you sighed to yourself.

While you were initially overwhelmed at the daunting prospect of creating an entire garden, it turned out to not be so bad. Kyoya handled most of the property scouting and landscaping with his endless business connections. You were pretty much just in charge of picking what flowers to grow and taking care of them.

And so, everyday after school, you would go to the new garden behind the building and tend to your flowers :) Your grandfather was very happy that you were making friends and spending less time at the business

Haruhi would usually come by to help you water the plants when she needed to sneak away from the chaos of the club

She loved your chill personality, and you always made her laugh and forget her stress in a second :)

You had your suspicions about her gender from the beginning, but you never really cared. You didn’t really see people as labels, just who they where on the inside. It was this mindset that actually made her comfortable enough to confide her secret in you!

Honey would sometimes come by and bring you some cakes that were leftover from the club activities, and you’d sit on a swing and eat them together <3

Sometimes he would bring Mori along, and while you were a little shy around him, you were happy to see that he was also interested in your gardening. He would often ask you what different flowers symbolized, and what kind of care certain flowers needed

The twins would come by to gather flowers for their various schemes, and would often encourage you to take a break and have some fun with them!

The three of you would run around the gardens, playing tag and hide and seek until you were all so tired you were sprawled out in the grass, panting and laughing wildly

Kaoru was happy to see Hikaru finally opening up to someone, and would sometimes try to give the two of you space to talk by yourselves

Hikaru could listen to you talk about flowers for hours and never get bored. He also liked to tuck them behind your ear, smiling at how pretty you looked <3

Tamaki always seemed to be busy tending to his numerous princesses, but every once in a while he would come by to thank you for making this all possible

And of course, he couldn’t help but flirt with you a bit :)

“All these gorgeous blossoms… and yet none of them compares to your beauty, my dear.”

You would’ve fallen for him had you not been so smart

Kyoya was probably the one you saw most often, as he was the one you knew the longest and the one who planned out most of the garden

He was always making sure you had enough equipment and starts, and discussing new arrangement ideas with you

“Are you sure it’s not too much work for you, Y/N?” he asked sincerely.

“Oh it’s not too bad, it’s not like I’m working myself to the bone.” you reassured him. “I mean yeah, it would be nice to have some help, but it would have to be from someone who understands gardening.”

“Why don’t you start a gardening club?” he proposed.

You jaw unhinged in shock. “Oh Kyoya, that’s a wonderful idea, but I don’t know the first thing about starting a club.”

“I do, and I can help you. I founded this club after all.” he smiled, adjusting his glasses.

After a few weeks of paperwork and meeting with the school board, you became the president of the Ouran High School Gardening Club :)

The guys were all so proud of you, they decided to host a ball in your honor!

You were hesitant at the idea, still a bit self conscious of all the rumors that had been spread about you in the past

But after much convincing, you agreed. The twins even got you a custom ball outfit from their mother’s fashion line!

Tamaki took his place at the foot of the staircase to greet all the guests, making your heart beat out of your chest from behind the double doors.

“Welcome princesses, princes, and nobles of Ouran Academy! Thank you so much for attending this ball in celebration of the founding of the Ouran Gardening Club! The president of this club is someone that the Host Club is very close with. In fact, if it weren’t of them, there wouldn’t be a single rose petal at any of our events. Please join me in welcoming Y/N Y/L/N!”

You then made your entrance, a light downpour of rose petals floating around you as you descended the staircase <3

You looked around to see everyone cheering for you and smiling at you admiringly. You started wondering why you ever retreated into the shadows in the first place. It was almost enough to bring a tear to your eye.

Halfway through your decent, you looked down to see all seven members of the Host Club holding a bouquet of your favorite flowers! They must have asked your grandfather what they were ;)

As you reached the bottom of the staircase, the applause ended. Then, all the guys held out their bouquets to you with warm smiles.

“Thank you for being our gardener Y/N!”
