Tfa highschool au reader invites optimus to family game night

"Are you sure I can just join you guys like this?" Optimus, your long-time boyfriend asked as the two of you stood before your house.

You smiled, "Of course! This is like the highest honor, being invited to our family game night!"

"That's the reason why I'm nervous..."

"You will be fine!" You were grinning from ear to ear as you grabbed your Optimus' arm and escorted him inside.

Your parents, Lockdown and Swindle, and little brother Wasp were all familiar with your boyfriend because one way or another they had been in contact with him, even if not directly.

Like how Swindle tried to marry you off to his business partner's son or how Wasp had been a little shithead and stolen your phone to text inappropriate things to Optimus.

So, you were all getting the game night going with something simple and fun, like a game of cards. Lockdown suggested poker and your sweet boyfriend wanted to just please so he agreed.

He didn't know what Hell he unleashed.

"Flush!" Wasp shouted as he put the cards down. A good hand, you and nodded and Optimus nodded, but then your Daddy put his cards down and wiped the smile off from your brother's face.

"Full house," Swindle smirked, putting his cards on the table

"Good job honey." Lockdown grinned at his partner before putting his own cards down, "But nothing you have beats four of a kind."

This would have been maybe normal if the same things would not have happened twice already, only different hands with different people.

"H- how-?" Optimus was baffled. You took pity on him and asked to be excused so you could take Optimus out of the poker table and show him the restroom.

"Your family is really good at poker-!"

"They are cheating." You straight up confessed and your boyfriend blinked. "Excuse me?"

"All the games we play are just a facade. Everybody cheats. All that matters is that you don't get caught." You grinned, "Wanna try again or switch games?"

"How about Go Fish? You can't cheat in it can you?"

"You would be surprised by how much you can cheat." You grinned, "Don't worry my brave Prime. I'm on your side."

"That makes me feel a lot better, yes." He smiled and you pecked his lips quickly, "Let's go rob my family."

Childe x GN reader. Highschool AU

Y/n has been busy with their work that they couldn’t pay attention to their own relationship with the one they love. Childe has had enough and wants their eyes back on him. 

Y/n sighs as they struggled answering this question on the homework. It was the end of the marking period, meaning that teachers would be slapping homework into their face just to try to make the students fail. Y/n also had to hand out work to the student council since they were in charge of the schools theater club. But they also had to do.. just explaining all this could go on and on. Point is, Y/n has been real busy with school and Childe could guess this without even thinking. 

Y/n and Childe has been in a relationship for one year now and this wasn’t the first time school has been dragging their interactions down. Childe knocked on Y/n’s room door, “Baby, you have been working so hard. How about you take a break and eat something.” He walked towards Y/n and bent over putting his face in the crook of their neck. “Childe! Don’t you see I’m busy!?” Y/n stood up in frustration. 

“I-I’m sorry baby but, you should really take a break..” 

“A couple of these assignments are due in the next hour so I don’t have much time left. I have many things right now Childe.” They walked out of the room and into the kitchen to grab a bottle of water. Childe followed from behind and sat down in the dining table, watching Y/n walk back into that room and closing it once again. Childe sighed. 

“There it is again, school stealing the one I love away from me.” He started at the plate across from him that was full with food which has gone cold. He stared at his own food, picking the rice with a fork. “It has been a while since I’ve gotten yelled at by them..” He sighed. Childe was a year older than Y/n. Y/n was currently a Sophomore and he’s a Junior. He has finished all his work since he actually paid attention to the classes for once but doesn’t have much work comparing to Y/n since they were in different clubs. The only club he was in was volleyball and the homework club since he barely finishes his homework. 

Y/n always has criticized him for not completing much of his homework which was really reasonable since he might fail the school year and get held back. But hey, he would be the same grade as Y/n! Y/n scolded him once again once in a lecture where he might’ve gotten held back once he brought that up. It did not end well.. He loved Y/n’s protective, furious nature but when it comes to this, it does not feel right whatsoever. He looked up at the clock showing that one hour has finally passed meaning that Y/n must’ve been done with their work. 

He stood up, walked towards their room and knocked a couple times. “Y/n? I’m coming in!” He opened the door and found them asleep on their desk. He walked closer to them watching their sleeping figure. He smiled and leaned in, giving a kiss on their forehead. He carefully carried Y/n in his arms and placed them on their bed, pulling the covers up to their chest. He placed a soft kiss on Y/n’s soft lips and turned off the lamp that was on.  “Goodnight, my baby” 

. 

The sun has finally risen. Y/n opened their eyes to find a ginger laying under the same covers that was covering their body. Childe’s lashes fluttered open and smiled. “Good morning princess.” he pressed his forehead with Y/n’s. “Childe, I’m sorry for yelling at you yesterday.. I was really stressed trying to finish my work. I’m sorry” Childe laughed. 

“It isn’t like it’s the first time you’ve yelled at me, my love. But to make it up, lets cuddle and go on many dates today.” He wrapped his arms around their waist. “You’re such an affection seeker Childe.”
