Nestled within the cozy hollow of a tree, a family of mushrooms basks in the subtle light. It's like a secret garden, uncovered in the heart of the woods.

Life is the greatest poetry that is written at each dawn, an invitation to dance with the words of destiny and discover the beauty hidden in each verse.

If you could see in other wavelengths, you could see different distances. Fortunately for our precious radiation sensitive organs, Gamma and X rays are blocked by our atmosphere. But if you could see in that spectrum, you could see objects exploding billions of light years away. And if you could see in the radio spectrum, you’d be able to see the cosmic microwave background radiation, surrounding us in all directions and marking the edge of the observable universe.

On the surface, there’s not a lot of beauty to be found in a place like the city I grew up in. But if you grew up here, or a place like it, and if you were maybe a little bit of a troublemaker, you know how to find the hidden gems.
Like, for example, if you drive down that brightly lit stretch of businesses when it’s finally gone as dark as a city like this ever gets. If you park behind the plaza of dirty, run-down shops. If you walk toward the smelly dumpsters, and hop the rusty guard rail behind them. If you climb down the muddy embankment, and sneak past the abandoned shopping carriage full of things better left unremarked upon. If you creep past the trees and find yourself in a clearing just big enough to crouch down at the waters edge.
If you find yourself here, fifty feet from all those neon business signs and too-bright parking lots, but somehow in another world entirely…you know you can find magic anywhere.

Why don't we make functional things beautiful anymore? Love this hidden architectural detail.

Just spotted a living rock cactus showing off its pretty pink bloom—a true desert gem nestled among stones. It's amazing how these plants blend right in with their surroundings, yet still shine boldly when they flower.
