i am ashamed by the number of tabs i have open! i am working on a report on the genocide and resistance research centre of lithuania and their role in holocaust distortion. this is my first official report for my internship--wish me luck!
2020 winter study challenge | december second: what is your favourite thing about winter? ?
my favorite things about winter are the snow and the snuggly sweaters. if you know me, then you know i hate the sun and brightness--the only time i will open my curtains is when it is snowing or raining. i love watching as the ground becomes covered in a sheet of white, fluffy snow. omg i love winter so much!!

200902, 12:52. hi, how have you all been? i know the answer is not great, to be honest. me too. the world seems like it’s on fire & we know there’s a way to put it out, but we don’t have access to the water. but we have to persevere, especially now, especially for those who come after us.
anyhow, semester 3 started! how come its alr a year since i started uni? it really flies so fast. i feel like i’ve grown more in the 6 months of 2020, since PSBB/lockdown started, and i rlly think it’s because i’ve been doing so much inquiry into myself and the mechanics of how i function. ofc that’s a privilege. but i’m really grateful for that nonetheless. currently im drinking a modified, fuss-free version (made by yours truly) of dalgona coffee and treating myself with a polo bun from my favorite cafe near my house. it really is the simple things. my notes here r from the copywriting workshop i was in with my youth org, & below are my digital systems notes!!! this semester the courses are very much so druly delving in the basic fundamentals of compsci, so i’m really excited aaaaa. i really, really cant wait.
to updating this blog with more of my updates, lol!!! i’ll see you around. <3

new tracking tag ... 3rd time’s the charm
i’ve decided to start tracking posts again ..... hhh? @sleepanon came up with this (and thank you so much for that, it’s super cute!), but i’ll be tracking #heybling if you want to tag me in your posts!
obligatory disclaimers that i will not reblog everything (the reason i stopped tracking my original one was bc i was getting overwhelmed with reblogging every post)!
other tags i will use this semester:
- a linguist reads (unstructured summaries of articles / chapters / books)
- a linguist speaks (me talking about linguistics n language in any shape or form)
- a linguist teaches (teaching assistant adventures! -- ranting ..?)
- a linguist posts (personal posts)
- a linguist cooks (bc im learning)
btw: my carrd includes the links to my grad routine / work posts!

21년 01월 06일 // 오늘의 일과:
HS Orga 과제를 하기
조금 요가를 하기 (대신 가적과 산책갔어요)
한국어 문번 노트를 하기
공부하기 일정표를 준비하기
to do:
HS Orga homework
do some yoga (took a walk with my family instead)
take Korean grammar notes
prepare study plan
It’s been a while since I’ve felt motivated to do anything, so now I’m doing my best to keep it that way with interesting study topics. (Guess which one I’m still dreading...) Surprisingly it snowed recently, and it has yet to melt! Now my perch inside has become even cozier!

Day 1: What time of the day do you usually study?
I usually study in the late afternoon and evening, so anytime from 4 to 10 pm. That’s when I would always study in high school, so it’s just a habit at this point. I honestly don’t vibe with a 9-5 work schedule at all. I got so used to doing homework late at night that it became the time when I’m most productive, even years after finishing school. It’s also when I’m best at doing any kind of writing or analytical work.
Although today I studied in the early afternoon and I got a lot more done than usual. I’d like to try studying in the morning sometime if I can get up early enough. I’m definitely not a morning person.
Today I continued to read and translate a Japanese article. I really recommend Matcha.com for anyone at N3 or above. It has a nice selection of articles about food and travel. I also started L29 in the Basic Kanji Book. I practiced ten words in my new Campus notebook while listening to a podcast. I want to make a morning routine where I practice writing kanji right after breakfast. It’s nice and relaxing and sets a productive mood for the day.

29.09.2020:
Typical of me to finally settle into a good routine only to get a cold and lie in bed for a week. Oh well, I’m all better now, I’m finishing up a coursera course I’ve been taking on poetry, and I’ve learned to crochet so that’s fun🧶
