Hetero trans people, heteroromantic aces, and heterosexual aros are all shaking hands while being angry at the way the overall queer community treats straight queerness

If your idea of queerness doesn't include any straight people whatsoever, then we should also stop including cis and allo people in queerness, too
Anyway, happy pride to transhets, straight aces, straight aros, and straight aroaces! You all are a wonderful part of the queer community! <3

Asexual Millie Icons 🖤🖥⚪💜
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I mostly did these because I headcanon Millie to be asexual. And as someone such as myself is on the asexual spectrum (I'm demisexual, btw, and I'm arospec), I feel as though she's an sex-positive/favorable heteroromantic alloace. Plus, I mainly did these for fun.
Plus, with her being (in my opinion) asexual and Moxxie being bisexual along with Blitzo being pansexual, they are so bi/pan/ace solidarity.

Also cishet aspec people have the right to not consider themselves queer as individuals and that doesn’t mean that being aspec doesn’t inherently make you queer socially/technically.
I know older bi people who identify as bisexual and don’t consider themselves part of the community. That doesn’t mean that bi people aren’t inherently queer or part of the community. Some nonbinary people don’t identify as trans, some do. Some intersex people consider themselves part of the community, some don’t. There are straight trans people who don’t see themselves as queer.
You internet rotten brained people need to relearn the value of the concept of diversity. And also get through your thick skull that validity is not some thing that only ONE (1) group of people/form of oppression/whatever can have at a time

Are you a heteroromantic asexual? Then you are just as welcome and belong just as much in the LGBTQIA+ community. You aren't "basically straight," and you're not "not queer enough."
You are valid. You belong. Anyone who says otherwise is wrong.

OK but getting into the heartstopper love. First of AMAZING, FABULOUS, BEAUTIFUL hsjsjak. The chemistry between the two main leads is PHENOMENAL.
But like can we talk about Tao for a second. As an aroace he is so relatable to me as a character. The overprotectiveness, the feeling of being left behind as people are getting into relationships, the feeling that you don't mean as much to your friends as they do to you...
Like I know he's not gonna end up aro with the way the show is hinting at him and Elle. Even I think they're too adorably cute together. (though i still headcanon him as heteroromantic ace)
But just the fact that he represented such a huge part of who I was as a person for such a long time... and still am a bit, the fact that they show such an emphasis on the importance of friendship and platonic relationships (he was literally more worried about Charlie when Elle was sitting right there) is just so DHSJQKAMAL.
As someone who, while being ok with romance, isn't overly fond of media that focuses solely on it... THIS (along with the whole Nick questioning his identity and Google searching which lets be honest is a such a common queer experience) is such a beautiful thing and has made this show a comfort watch even for me and SHUT UP I'M NOT CRYING YOU ARE!!!

On the last day of Pride month, I wanted to come out as a hetero-romantic asexual. I've wondered what I am for several years, and it feels good to finally know and share this aspect of my identity.

Feeling sexual attraction for someone and wanting to have sex with someone are actually two completely different but very similar feelings, and don't let any allosexuals (for whom this feeling is largely the same and very difficult for them to differentiate) tell you any different.
As an asexual (I identify as greysexual), I rarely feel sexual attraction even to my husband, but I want to have sex with him because he is awesome 🥰.
I'm still ace and it's still completely valid.

With the renewed (and thankfully mostly positive) ace and aro discourse, can people PLEASE start writing “cishet allos” instead of just “cishets” when referring to those outside the queer community. I mentally correct it and assume good faith when encountering it but it always stings a little. There are so many cis aces and aros who are hetero-oriented but that makes them no less valid. Thank you
