Does Loki in any way has connection to home? Like, He is for me, beside change and joy part, feels like a home Deity, maybe in a same way as Brigit and Hestia.

Yes actually! Before he became known for his escapades with Odin and Thor, Loki started off as a domestic spirit that was thought to live by or beneath the best part of the Nordic house—the hearth.

Naturally, he had the same sneaky proclivities as a domestic spirit that he has now as a deity, so while Hestia and Brigid are more associated with homemaking and family, Loki's more about that home mischief. He's the force that tangles your knitting and burns your cookies. But that's only because he likes being involved, not because he wants to upset people's lives.

Bit of UPG here, but Loki's energy as a house spirit very much reminds me of a Norwegian forest cat's: Big, friendly, makes great company, manifests at the sound of a can opening, screams when bored, gets zoomies at 3am, disappears into the wilderness for days on end only to return as though he never left. Has kittens sometimes.

Like, there's a reason why people kept Loki around rather than chasing him out for being a menace. He's a belovéd menace.

Hi I’m T (they/them), it’s lovely to meet you!

I've had this blog for over a year now so I thought I should introduce myself haha. Anyways, I'm a practicing Hellenic Polytheist and witch. I love hearth and home witchcraft and divination. I've been doing tarot since I was a small child since I grew up in a spiritual household. Despite that, I only discovered witchcraft 3 and a half years ago but i've been hooked ever since.

As for my religious practice, I'm still new to Hellenic Polytheism. I began practicing it seriously around early to mid 2022 but I've taken lots of accidental breaks along the way because of general life circumstances. The Deities I worship/work with the most are King Zeus, Lady Hestia, Lord Hermes and Lady Athena.

As for what you'll be able to find on my page, I mainly post about low energy witchcraft activities. I have ADHD so a lot of my practice revolves around adding magic to my everyday instead of doing big spells. hey, hey, @ow1et!! i really appreciate the ask. let me hop right into it by saying right now, bunny mask doesn't own any pets — BUT i do plan on integrating one into her story a little later on that's named hestia. and just as you may expect, hestia is going to be a cat that bunny mask will meet in the future, which she will presumably adopt after she notices that one of the criminals she had killed had left something behind when she thought that they lived alone... and that was this cute little kitten that seems to be a very loving, warm-hearted creature. which is why she named her hestia. hestia is known in greek mythology as being the goddess of the hearth and the home, whom was largely regarded as the sacred center of all domestic life: or, more simply put, she was the giver of all domestic happiness and blessings within the home.

and because hestia quickly ushered into her life with all of this love to give, she wanted to give the kitten a name that embodied warmth, because she brought bunny mask so much happiness ever since she adopted her. and thus... she thought of the goddess, hestia, who'd she'd read about while trying to learn all she could about humanity; a goddess who's importance was undeniable but was often left out of myths for some reason. so, she'd also paying homage to the goddess in this way, should such a being actually be alive. hestia was also known to receive tributes to the god as she was present at all sacrifices / any kind of worshipping that involves worship in regards to the gods.

VERSE 007: DAUGHTER OF HESTIA.

annette was a bit late in getting to camp -- truly, once she's there, most of the other campers are amazed she survived this long. it takes about a day for her to be claimed, much to the confusion of everyone. hestia. (the how or why is never discovered, but the peaceful aura around her & the duty of making everyone feel at home leaves little to question.) of course, hestia does not have a cabin at that time -- so she stays in the hermes cabin till such a problem is amended.

she does manage to smuggle her cat in, & once it's built, the hestia cabin has an open-door policy. while it's unofficial, her cabin is a neutral ground for people to be when they don't feel welcome elsewhere, & it always smells like fresh baked cookies & bread. annette worships her godly mother much the way hellenistic pagans do -- incense, a small altar, burning herbs. any younger campers who feel outcast or lonely might very well be found in the hestia cabin, petting annette's cat or simply enjoying her quiet company.

any abilities she has from her parentage are subtle, much like her parent herself. she exudes comfort, even when she is personally wracked with her usual anxiety. any tea she makes is always just right for the drinker. at the beginning of meals she can be found tending to the large hearth in the mess hall. she's definitely still strange, to be sure, but something about her brings comfort. the hazel of her eyes is just a little bit more golden, warm like a well-kept fireplace.

Hestia and Misto

So i have been attempting a more photo-realistic style recently. In light of that, I just had to try and do @uppastthejelliclemoon's best girl, Hestia. I remembered her mentioning at some point she'd like to see Georgina Pascoguin playing her oc so i used a pic of 2016 Victoria as the inspiration for this. The picture looked a little empty so i added some Misto legs. I worked very hard on this and I'm really proud of how it turned out.

Hestia ends up being the only one of the Deuteronomy-Jones kids to end up doing ballet as a full-time career. Mistoffelees never lived vicariously through his kids, but seeing Hestia and Tumblebrutus go into dance as something full-time warmed his heart so so much. She and Tumblebrutus become one of those ballet it-couples, where everyone knows they're together, and if one of them is seen auditioning for a role in a ballet that's part of a romantic pair, the other isn't far behind.

Their first big role is in "The Nutcracker", where Hestia is cast as Clara, and Tumblebrutus as the Nutcracker. It's a role they both know well, having danced it as children and young adults, but being on a professional stage makes it so much more real.

Mistoffelees can't help but cry sitting in the first row, watching his daughter dance and be applauded by thousands of people. Hestia makes eye contact with him throughout the show, happy tears in her own eyes, and at the end of the show, as she bows, she blows him a kiss.

When it comes time for everyone to go to the stage door, of course there are crowds waiting for the two leads. However, as soon as the doors open, Hestia's flying past all the cheering people straight into her papa's arms, clinging to him as he spins her around, just like he used to when he was Drosselmeyer and she was Clara.

Mistoffelees is absolutely bursting with pride, and Hestia's beaming, and she doesn't leave his side, even as her siblings pile onto her in a tight group hug, or as Tugger peppers kisses all over her face, cheek stained with tears he fervently denies shedding.

A Tiny Accident Hearth Sparks

Containing a baby dragon wasn’t as easy as a puppy. Or a kitten. They could fly, for one. And they had two. Lance wasn’t home, visiting the First Slash guild hall for a meeting. Hestia wasn’t upset. It was often he had to leave her home alone with their hatchlings. But today was… Different.

Aella trotted happily behind her mother as she worked the farm, pouncing on the mole hills between planter beds. A crash from inside the house snapped both their attention up. Asterios was inside, playing with the cat. Hestia moved quickly, all but shifting to dragon form to get inside quickly.

There, her son lay on the ground. Splayed out in shock, winds flat at his sides. As if he’d been thrown to the ground. But just past his feet, past his tail, was a fallen statue. One of Lance’s trophies. The Skeleton Soldier statue. Fallen, its head rolled off to the corner of the room, an arm shattered off. And Asterios right in front of it, stunned. 

Aella ran to her brother, nudging him to roll onto his paws. They chirped to each other, Asterios lowering his posture when he saw his mother. His chirps turned to soft trills, apologies for breaking something.

With a deep sigh, Hestia picked up her children, letting them settle around her shoulders. She picked up the statue's head, taking a long look at the damage. It could probably be fixed… And the cracks would add character. Lance would chuckle… Right?

She shifted her weight. Would it be better to tell him now…? Fly to the guild hall and show him the evidence? Tell him now so he wouldn’t come home after whatever the meeting was to find one of his precious trophies shattered on the ground? Or… should she wait? Let him come home and see…

With a deep sigh, Hestia carried the children outside. Her body shifted, their tiny wings lifting them off her for a moment to let her change. They lowered down, nestling between her shoulders. It wouldn’t be a long flight… A few hours, at most.

Lance stepped outside when he sensed his wife’s magic. Their connection let him sense her arrival. Whether through magic or the telepathic bond, he wasn’t sure. But he could. He didn’t expect to see her, especially see her landing in front of him with the hatchlings… And a skull in her hands. She shifted as soon as she touched the ground. Aella moved to her father’s shoulders, chirping and nuzzling him in greeting.

Asterios, on the other hand… lowered back to his mother’s shoulders. His head hung low like he was in trouble. Lance looked to his wife.

“Asterios… had an accident, dear.”

She explained, as far as she could. Asterios still couldn’t quite create a bond with his father to speak for himself, all he could do was chirp and let his mother translate.

He was playing, climbing up the statue. His weight shifted it, making it fall. He tried to shift his weight back to stop it only to make it worse. He was stunned when he hit the floor and the head bounced off his stomach… Then his mother and sister came in.

Lance sighed, gently patting his son’s head. “Are you okay, bud?”

Asterios’ confusion was clear in his trill. Lance continued, “Accidents happen, what’s important is that you’re not hurt. You’re forgiven.”

Aella ended up shoved out of the way by her brother climbing over, taking her place coiled around his neck. She chirred, indignant, as her tiny wings flapped rapidly to hold her at eye level with her brother. He’d be in for the wrestle of his life that night.

But for now, for now, everything was okay. Lance wasn’t angry. Hestia didn’t have to worry.
