I'm developing a Spiderwoman alternate universe, and I'm unsure about how to introduce my character. Can you provide some ideas for how she might reveal her face, akin to the dramatic moments of unmasking seen in the 'Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse movie?
Hero Removing their Mask Prompts
-> feel free to edit and adjust pronouns as you see fit.
She needed to get somewhere safe. She had just taken a nasty hit and wasn't sure how much farther she could go. The buildings loomed tall overhead, watching her shoot web after web as she tried to cover as much ground as possible. They offered her no comfort, just mere giants in a cold city. The rain was coming down in sleets, mixing with the blood that she was sure was running down her face and staining her suit. A small apartment building with a fire escape in a dark alley caught her attention, and she clumisly dropped down, stumbling on the landing from a twisted ankle. She sat down, leaning her back against the brick wall and tore off her mask so she could breathe better. It was sticky with blood, her hair stuck uncomfortably to her face from the downpour. Closing her eyes and sighing, waiting to regain enough energy to make it home, she didn't hear a nearby window slide open. "[Hero Name]?" an unfamiliar voice asked, full of bewilderment and worry. Her eyes shot open to look at the man staring at her, and she scrambled to cover her face. Shakily, she pulled herself to a stand, ignoring the aches and pains that shot through her body at the unwanted movement. "No, wait!" he called, right before she leapt from the railing.
He was trapped. Wedged between a building and a car and he wasnt strong enough to break free. He needed time to recover. Needed time to gather his thoughts or else bad things were going to happen. But he was already too late. The bad things were here and he wasn't strong enough to stop them. The villain was walking towards him now, sinsister smile creeping onto their face as they realized what had happened. They had won. They crouched before him, sizing his pitiful form up and down. They reached out and ripped his mask from his face.
"Why are you shutting me out?" Their friend cried, heart breaking from the months of secrets and lies they had been feeding her. "Why are you so suddenly pushing me away? What is so bad that you can't even tell your best friend?" But she wouldn't understand. And they couldn't tell her. They were so alone and it was so hard to carry the weight of this secret on their shoulders, but they couldn't bring themself to tell her. And now, they were going to lose her because of it. "Please," she continued to sob, "please, just let me help you. You don't have to do this alone. I'm always here for you, I never left and I never will." It felt like a dam was breaking behind their eyes. "I..." they took a shaky breath. Should they even tell her? "I'm... I'm [Hero Name]."

Hi! Do you happen to have any hero x civilian prompts?
Hero x Civilian Prompts
They had never talked about what they are to each other, but when Civilian gets kidnapped by the Villain for being the Hero's girl/boyfriend, it's the perfect opportunity to talk about it.
Civilian works the night shift, which is perfect, because it means that after working and saving the night both of them get home to fall asleep in each other's arms while the rest of the world gets up.
It's hard to watch your partner on national TV, risking their life to save everyone elses. And especially if they can't talk to anyone about it.
Being the Hero's partner meant that they were a target for the villians. But the Civilian would not let that stop them from being happy with their Hero.
Imagine wanting to bring your partner home to your parents for the first time and having to explain to them that your partner is running a little late, while the news station is on in the background constantly giving updates on where the Hero currently is.
They never thought that part of being the Hero's partner was to bring them a change of clothing after their heroic acts, so they can go home undetected.
It wasn't hard to find out that their sweet new partner is the Hero. They're really not that good at keeping the secret.
No matter what their partner said, it was a great joke to both dress as the Hero for the costume party. Until a lot of people see similiarities...
I hope you like them! I also have some more prompts like these:

Thought #240
Villain punched at Hero, who dodged it gracefully.
Hero ran away from them and froze. "He did not just do that to you." They yelled.
Villain looked at them confused. "Who-"
"No." They yelled, throwing up their hands. "What a bastard."
Villain walked up to them. "Are you talking about me?"
Hero waved them off. "Girl, get out of that relationship. He doesn't deserve you."
They threw up their hands again. "I have some stupid thing right now, but I will be over after this."
Villain pointed to themselves. Hero nodded and waved them off.
"You better have broken up with him by the time I get there." Hero nodded. "Yes, I'll grab ice cream."
Hero said goodbye and turned to Villain. "Can we hurry this up. I've got a friend in crisis."
"What did he do to her?"
Hero rolled their eyes. "He cheated. Multiple times."
"Oh hell no. Let's go help her out of this relationship. You get the ice cream. I'll get the wine."

Winter Boots
Last year, when winter hit the city, Hero thought it was best to prepare for the weather with a quick adjustment to their attire. A little extra fur with a couple of layers did their suit justice. It maintained style while providing the warmth they needed when running outside.
This year, they planned on keeping the colour and style the same as they always did. Except, there would be a minor adjustment: their fine, long over the knee-length boots would be shortened to only their ankles. It wasn't as if the efficiency of the newer shoes was heightened, only that it was a style preference. They had debated it back and forth over a few weeks, and it wasn't like they would lose anything either.
So when Villain tilted their head and squinted their eyes during their routine battle, they felt nervous about their decision.
"It looks cute on you." They motioned with their hands at their suit.
Hero had to restrain a smile from escaping their lips. They wouldn't let Villain court them. However, the compliment made them feel much warmer, just enough to forget the snow surrounding them.
"You should focus on the fight, Villain." Their hands tightened into a fist, and their posture resumed its usual stance.
There were a few more seconds of an empty pause as the winds clashed against the frosted buildings around them. Villain looked to be in deep thought as they grappled in their mind on what to say next. "Although you make everything look good, I deeply miss the old boots. They had…" They looked to the sky for words, "an appeal to them."
Hero pulled their gaze away from Villain for a few seconds and fixated their focus back on their boots before staring at them again with a stern glare, "I don't need your opinion, Villain."
"I'm not saying you have to take it to heart." They shrugged.
Hero lunged at them again, their fists aiming to hurt Villain just enough to reassure them of their strength. Hero sent a kick to their left and another to the right, only for Villain to grab hold of their foot.
Hero gasped as they almost slipped on the pile of snow beneath them. "Ah!-- You better let go of me!" Their body was tiled, and Hero looked for something to hold as they tried to maneuver their way out.
"Hold still now, love, I want to show you something." They slightly pinched at their calf, "See this here," Hero stifled a laugh; now was not the time to feel ticklish. This new position was too embarrassing to be in.
They tried yanking their leg away again before feeling weakened against their grip. "I had always admired these nice legs of yours. Have I ever told you that?" They teasingly smiled and waited for a reaction.
Hero blushed and shook their head fiercely to shake away the feeling growing in them. "You're unbeliveable, Villain. Can't you just stay professional for once?"
Villain ignored their comment and pulled their leg closer with a firm grip until it rested on their shoulder. "Relax, I just wanted to help you see this from my perspective-"
"You pull me any closer to you and I'm going to pull a hamstring!"
"The boots, the ones that you used to wear, they just had a way of defining these legs better." They watched as Villain's fingers ran smoothly up and down their leg. "Do you see where I'm getting at?" they winked cooly.
Hero slipped their foot out of their grip and jumped a few meters back, slightly tumbling.
Did their nemesis seriously just ask them to wear the older boots for their pleasure? Had they been paying that much attention to their legs all this time?
Their eyes flickered back and forth with confusion and anxiousness. It shouldn't be this big deal, yet Hero knew they were over the moon with all of Villain's alert comments. It wasn't as if they had intentionally thought of what their rival would think, but hearing their admiration for it made their heart jump.
Hero pulled down the fur coat to cover whatever they could, "You're just saying that to distract me."
"Oh, I can assure you the only person here doing the distracting is you."
They bit their lip to counter the growing heat spreading across their cheeks, hoping that Villain had mistaken it for a reaction to the cold. They couldn't help themselves when they responded this way; it looked like for Villain, it would be their victory for now. Hero decided to leave the conversation hanging and sprint away instead, a relatively common behaviour they developed when Villain's advancements started getting to their head.
They shouldn't be feeling this way. It wasn't very honourable of them, especially since their sole job was to defeat Villain and protect whatever version of justice they saw as true. Yet, their heart still lingered in the air, searching for Villain's words even in the comfort of their own home.
Hero, now in their regular civilian clothes, retired to bed early. Only knowing whatever was ahead of them would only strengthen Villain's infatuation for them.
In the dark of the night, they lay in bed still contemplating Villain's words. Did their legs really look that presentable?
They lifted up their thigh and stretched out their sore muscles. It didn't look significant to them… Maybe it was all empty words, something to keep their mind at bay and to let Villain win.
Their heart paced rapidly as their eyes landed on the soft fabrics of their suit and the small boots sitting neatly inside their closet, hidden from any prying eyes.
Hero sat up and walked gently with soft feet; their cheeks still flushed from hours earlier. Behind the endless piles of clothes were their older boots. They never found them central to their uniform, but Villain did.
Carefully, they slipped them on and stood in front of a mirror. Their own eyes scan the change in their appearance. It was slightly attractive now that they thought about it for a bit.
Their heart nearly escaped their chest with the thought of returning to fight Villain and having them notice the obvious switch they've made.
In their head, Hero could already see it. The slight curvy smile and knowing eyes when they've only just arrived at the scene. They would rather die than imagine a scenario at all, even if their mind started to race with many other wonderfully intimate ideas that had them worked up.
"Deep breath." They sucked in some air and blew it back out to calm their nerves. Their hands were shaking. What was wrong with them? They didn't care about how their body appeared to anyone. Not even for Villain.
That's right.
They're only switching back because they always knew they wouldn't like their new boots anyway.
When it reached the time to make their first debut in their readjusted uniform, Hero had to run a series of conversations with themselves to push them into the spotlight. It wasn't a pleasant morning, but it wasn't a reason time to complain. The news did warn of heavy snow and sleet. It wouldn't get any better either as the season made its way deeper and deeper into winter.
Hero watched with eagerness as a familiar figure emerged from the heavy fog and walked effortlessly to their place.
The crunch of snow below their feet drew closer until they could hear their rival's voice between the whisps of the winds. "Lovely weather we're having, hm?" Their eyes pierced straight into their own and sent chills down their back. Hero was here for one thing: to stop Villain's advancement on the day's mission; they always caused chaos for whatever corruptable plan they'd conjured up for months before. There was also reason number two, but they weren't sure if they even wanted to admit to it yet.
Before they could get the chance to even mention or even hint at the change, Villain's gaze already coursed their way down their body and to their sleek boots.
They heard a short hum of approval, and as expected, a sly smirk worked its way up their face.
With their mind already set on formulating an excuse, Hero blurted out their thoughts, "I didn't do it for you, alright?"
"Okay…" Their irritating grin remained planted, unwilling to leave them alone. "Whatever you say, my love."
"I didn't!" They stomped their foot onto the ground as if mimicking a child. Their face felt like it was going to burst into flames.
"I believe you, Hero. There's no need to defend yourself." Even as they said that, they caught a small laugh at the end of their sentence, playing with them, "Just think it's a funny coincidence…" They pushed.
They pouted in response, their voice already too nervous to do all the talking, leaving it to their expressions.
"You look beautiful either way though, just so you know." They chuckled.

What are some pieces of Villain dialogue that make your brain go BRRRR? (Add to my list)
-"I'm growing tired of this game, little mouse."
-"Oh, I love it when you drop to your knees and beg."
-"That's all it takes to shut you up, huh? Close quarters?"
-"I've got you cornered. Now, are you going to do as I say?"
-"Don't struggle, you'll only make it worse for yourself."
-"I won't let them hurt you again. That's my job."
-"What happened to you?"
-"You think I broke you? Darling, I bent you. I could do so much worse."
-"Make no mistake, I won't save you a second time."
-"If you're so eager to see what pain tastes like, then let me show you."
-"That's it. Obey."
-"You've really gotten yourself into a bit of a sticky situation here, haven't you?"
And my personal favorite,
-"Tell me who did this to you. Now."

Prompt #7
A kindhearted but virtually useless Hero has no powers or skills of their own. They cannot defend themselves at all. However, they're still alive in their field of work. How, you ask? Well, they're just so nice and kind, many villains have taken a real liking to them, so they've all formed an alliance to help Hero from the sidelines without them knowing.

Reformed, Part 1
This is just something I had in my head that needed to be written down. Let me know if you guys would like a part 2 😅
Part 2 -> https://www.tumblr.com/whump-4-ever/732499030072016896/reformed-part-2?source=share
Part 3 -> https://www.tumblr.com/whump-4-ever/733802194445402112/reformed-part-3?source=share
Hero’s whole body shivered and shook as they trudged through the desolate, snow-covered forest, hugging their arms to their chest and curling into the thin fabric of their shredded clothing in a desperate attempt to shield themselves from the harsh winter wind that tore through the trees, carrying with it a chill like Hero had never experienced before. They weren’t too sure where they were or how long they’d been wandering through the cold. All they knew was that they were nearing hypothermic, at least on the outside. On the inside, they were suffering from such a high fever that they were convinced their organs were melting into puddles of goop.
-
Hero let out a soft grunt as they stumbled over something in their path, hardly having the coordination to keep from face-planting. There was no denying it. This was bad; really bad. They were completely lost and so, so sick. Supervillain had been holding Hero captive at their lair over the last several weeks, demanding information from them about their team, their vulnerabilities, the location of their base, and inflicting many different types of torture upon Hero when Hero refused to oblige. Just today, only a short time before their escape, Supervillain had injected Hero with what they’d called an “experimental drug”, but, as time went on, and walking became increasingly difficult, Hero developed a sneaking suspicion that Supervillain had poisoned them. With what, they didn’t know, but, judging by their current state, they were pretty damn sure it was bad, and it was only getting worse. At this point, Hero could barely see two feet in front of them, and they were just coherent enough to know that their hindered vision wasn’t due to the darkness of night. Their condition was deteriorating rapidly, the poison in their system practically leeching the life out of them like a blood-sucking parasite.
-
It was only moments later when Hero was hit with a rush of dizziness so overwhelming that it forced their muscles into submission, forcing them to stop in their tracks as their knees started to buckle. They willed themselves not to pass out with all they had, but the buzzing in their head only intensified, the disorienting sensation of spinning in circles sending their stomach into a fit of nausea. It gurgled angrily, threatening to expel its contents. Hero then dry heaved once, twice, three times, their heart pounded furiously in their chest, their legs turned to jelly, then they collapsed, a single spool of saliva oozing out of the corner of their mouth as they curled up onto their side, attempting to quell the urge to vomit. After a minute, the nausea faded, leaving Hero able to take in their surroundings (or, at least, what little bit they could see), but as they tried to focus their vision, everything tilted and swayed before them, shadows and shapes blurring together. They were so screwed.
-
“Hero?” A deep, grumbly voice suddenly echoed from somewhere above Hero’s head. “What’re you doing so far from home?”
-
Villain, Hero’s brain supplied, but when they opened their mouth to speak, all that came out was a groan of agony, their thoughts rapidly melting into incoherency. “……d-don’….” Hero mumbled, fever chills rippling through them violently.
-
Villain knelt beside Hero, lifting their chin and forcing their gazes to meet. Hero’s eyes were glassy and glazed over, barely even open as they stared blankly at Villain. “You’re running one hell of a fever,” Villain murmured as they cupped Hero’s face in their palms.
-
“…….S’p’rv’ll’n….” Hero slurred. Their eyes then rolled up into the back of their skull and they went limp, their head lolling bonelessly in Villain’s hands.
-
“Hero?” Villain gripped Hero’s shoulder with one hand, supporting Hero’s limp head with the other, and gave them a gentle shake. “Hey.” There was no response. After a moment of thought, Villain scooped Hero up into their arms and walked off into the night.

If It Counts
[Hero] slammed [Villain] into the wall, their hands firmly cuffed behind their back.
"[Villain], by order of [City], you are under arrest. The charges against you are five counts of breaking and entering, eight counts of assault, two counts of arson-"
"Actually it's three counts of arson, but who's counting?" [Villain] muttered, "Not you, apparently."

Random prompt #87
Villain pressed the back of their hand to their nose, shock still painting their face. They eyed the splotches of blood left on their skin as they pulled their hand away, a laugh building in their throat.
The criminal turned their gaze to Hero once more, specifically their raised fists in a defensive stance and ready to strike again.
"You're kinda hot." Villain clicked their tongue, watching with glee as their new enemy's face flushed red.

"Alright then how about this, you can take the clone and I'll take the original." The villain had suggested with an off-handed gesture.
"Absolutely not, I'm taking the original and you can have the clone." The Hero had insisted.
Meanwhile civilian and their clone sat there between the two bickering supers.

Realizing the Villain is Right
-> requested by @aotsimp906
-> feel free to edit and adjust pronouns as you see fit
She felt like the breath had been knocked out of her.
His mind started spiraling, thinking back to all of the feelings of disgust and glory he had when fighting Villain.
Had they been the villain all along?
She could have cried if she allowed herself to. All this time, she had been fighting against Villain's every thought and action without a care in the world. She knew they were in the wrong, she had been taught that from the very beginning. But now, reflecting on everything that has happened, the idea that Villain was right weighed heavy on her chest.
He didn't understand. How could he have been so wrong about everything? Everything he thought he knew was crumbling down around him. All that stood was Villain, offering him a careful hand and a chance to right his wrongs.
Villain was right. He was right about everything and there was nothing that they could do about it.
She felt nothing but shame and betrayal. Betrayed by the people she blindly followed, and ashamed to not have noticed it sooner.
He collapsed to the floor, burying his head in his knees that were tucked close to his chest. He was embarrassed. Guilt crept into the cavity of his chest and weighed him down, squeezing at his heart with an unforgiving fist.
They needed to do something but they hadn't the slightest idea of what could be done to fix all of the things that they had helped break.

Thought #236
Hero sighed as they rode the elevator up to their office.
Their day job was not what they wanted to do right now. They wanted to be at home researching Villain and coming up with a plan to stop them.
"You need the money. You need the money." Hero repeated to themselves.
The door opened and they plastered a smile on their face. They walked into the front doors and froze.
Someone stood at the front desk talking to Receptionist.
"Oh, Hero." She said brightly. "Perfect timing. Someone is here to see you."
Hero looked at Villain, who had a huge smile plastered over their face.
Hero took a deep breath and plastered the smile back on their face.
"Hello. Follow me to my office and we can meet there."
Villain nodded and followed Hero.
Hero let Villain into the office and closed the door behind them.
"What are you trying to do?" Hero whispered harshly.
"I thought you would be happy to see me. You have put in so much work in finding where I go that I thought I would throw you a bone." Villain smiled and sat down in one of the chairs.
Hero glared at them at sat at their desk. Villain rifled through some of the papers.
"I also thought I could save you from this dreadfully boring job."
Hero snatched the papers from Villain. "I don't want to hear it."
"You sure?" Villain stood.
"Yes I'm-"
"Cause I could double your salary. And give you time to do whatever you want. Just under one condition."
Hero stood.
"You have to do one mission with me." Villain laughed. "And come live with me, but we can talk about that bit later."

Writing Prompts
Prompt 1: Villain x Hero
C.W. Aquaphobia, Thalassophobia, Suggestive, Violence, Angst, Blood.
Tumblr media
Perhaps this was the answer! Villain thought to himself. Exhilaration was pumping throughout Villain's body. Giving him a true high. It was only an hour ago Villain was worried he wouldn't be able to go through with this.
"Are you ready to give me an answer"? Villain grinned, velvet and malice in his voice as he pulled Hero to the surface, hands still wrapped around her neck.
Hero gasped for air, trying to hold on to Villain's arm. Hero wasn't sure how much more she could take. She was freezing in the cold lake; any attempt to push villain from off of her would result in another episode of brutal blows to her body like the other 7 times proved. Coughing, shivering, bleeding all of this was driving her crazy, not to mention the constant close calls to drowning Villain was putting her through but, the cherry on top of this horrible cake of torture was the ringing in her ears. This ringing that she couldn't tell was from being doused in water until she couldn't breathe, or from Villain's beatings upon her figure. The ringing the made Hero lightheaded. The ringing that caused Hero to fight the acid conjuring in her throat. The ringing...the damn ringing that drove Hero to have this pounding headache- like having a cinder block broken upon your head. Hero knew she was running out of time. That whatever Villain was doing, she'd have to think of a counter before her mind left her incoherent.
"Well"? Villain pushed. "I'd like an answer; quite rude of you to ignore me". Grip tightening around Hero's neck, leading her to meet Villain's Gaze.
". . ." Panting and Shivers were all Villain got. "You know...it feels great. Seeing you in such a distraught state. I could get used to this. I'm sure you feel it as well. Adrenaline rushing through your veins.. doesn't seem to be doing much in your case".
An annoyed sigh escapes Hero's lips.
"We both know I could end it here. However, I'm being patient and awaiting your answer, dear". Villain's face was showing some concern aside from what was possible annoyance. Villain felt bad about doing this to their poor Hero, but he knew in the end, he was doing it for her own good. It was all good. From the plan of baiting Hero in by running into the snow coated forest, to knocking Hero down with a quick blow on the head, and now all Hero had to do was give their answer. Of course..Villain want an answer, but..Villain wanted "The Answer" upon which they were looking for. Either way, the result would ultimately be the same, Hero didn't need to know that of course.
"Take...a fine guess"! Hero snarled, coughing up a mixture of their own blood and the lake water. Assuming this was an answer to Villain's previous question, a sly smile made its way to Villain's face.
"Oh..but I'd love to hear it upon your lips"~ Villain cooed.
Hero's voice grew sharp, and tired. " "Fuck..yo-" was all Hero managed to get out before being submerged into the lake again.
Villain on top of Hero, the hold on her starting to bruise Hero's neck.
Villain's Gaze upon Hero struggling violently to come to surface was almost soulless. Though his eyes held anger, desire, obsession, yet pity.
"Such a shame.." Villain trailed. "Vulgarities come out of the most beautiful things...it'd be better if you used those lips to answer correctly instead".
It was painful. Everything hurt. Hero was tired, her muscles tense and aching, head spinning and pounding, but wasn't it better? Hero couldn't possibly give in to Villain..could she? No one in their right mind would agree to such an arrangement! It was simple though. Hero agrees to go with Villain- wherever that may be; villain takes care of Hero and as long as Hero obeys and listens like a "good Hero" Villain would consider taking their crime doing at a slower pace. Villain implied a strict "no deal breaking" at the end of his offer, but wouldn't that be Hero's freedom on the line? That's it- there's no way!
Yet here she was reliving a trauma. Maybe I could just let go..here. Hero thought. There it was. For a few moments Hero's thrashing and fighting resistance stopped.
Villain seemed to take notice, but didn't falter.
Ahh...but the others. The city still needs protecting. Promises made, friends in the process of being made, many depending on Hero. Could I even call myself a Hero regardless of how many times I've saved the nation if I just give up?
Pain, burning on her insides, muscles aching, body littered with bruises, cuts and scrapes, but none of it mattered, compared to the burning in her chest. Not just from holding her breath, but also from a feeling of determination. That was it! The adrenaline had sided with her body, giving Hero a rush of strength.
With the last bit of strength Hero had, she sprung up, breaking to the surface of the lake. Fist colliding with Villain's nose.
Villain's hold on Hero's neck broke away, as he stumbled back a few steps, hand already drenched in crimson. Droplets of blood falling into the lake; tainting the clear, subzero, water.
Villain's expression exhibiting raw yearning, infatuation and enthusiasm. His eyes said it "raving manic".
As quick as villain had made eye contact with Hero, so had his fist with Hero's stomach. With Hero on her knees, Villain attempted to submerge the weakened Hero once again. Only this time, Hero seemed to be putting up more of a fight, even though it did take everything she had in her to do so.
"Oh, Come now, Dear; This is absurd"! Villain scoffed. Irritation beyond clear.
Hero was burning with rage. What had she done to have such an act driven upon her?! Hero managed to grab hold of Villain's shirt, flipping them over with Hero on top now.
"You're weak"! Villain taunted as he took Hero by the wrist, pulling her close. Swift and hard Villain head-butt Hero, allowing himself to maneuver his leg and send Hero tumbling into the water.
Villain rose up eyes locked on Hero's form. He couldn't help but laugh. "Can't you see it"?! Villain gave a genuine smile. "Your condition is only worsening, you're on the verge of crumbling, I know it hurts, and yet...you're still going- still..fighting".
Hero stood up, legs shaking, breath ragged, and mind screaming to just give up.
"That is why I'm doing this. Even when death has its hands around you, you still fight. That burning fire in you. I don't know where you get it from. So passionate, only for it to become a wildfire such as now".
Hero remained still trying to keep her balance, listening to Villain. "M-My...my will to live. So, that's what's driving you to do this".
"Not quite-"
"Insane". Hero mumbled.
"What"? Villain questioned.
"you're fucking insane"!! Hero shouted, hysterically; laughter of the same form soon followed.
Villain watched, a frown exhibit as he watched Hero curiously. "You're not well..come with me". No wonder she didn't say anything, she was confused! Villain had figured it out. Hero needs his help, to be taken care of, and it could only be him. Villain! Besides Hero wouldn't have to worry about the crime when they had villain with them. Anyone else who dares to hurt his Hero, well..let's just say he would make sure they could never do so again.
Bangs covered Hero's eyes as she started to shake. Not just from freezing, but what seemed to be anger. Hero let out a shaky breath. "No..". Hero breathed.
"No"? Villain repeated.
"you wanted an answer..there it is." Hero began to stagger, holding her stomach.
Villain watched the Hero as though looking at a complex game of chess. Lost in thought. "Perhaps a bit more convincing is required". Villain said, making his way to Hero.
Hero prepared herself for whatever attack Villain would try. Though, once Villain reached Hero, he didn't attempt to hit her. "I'm not going with you" Hero implied, standing her ground.
Villain gave a tiresome sigh. "I see now. It's that spiteful fight in you; suppose I'll just have to tone it down a bit" Villain muttered, tightening his glove.
Maybe it was Villain's swift movements or maybe it was Hero's current condition, but she'd barely been able to see him move before sending a punch straight into her chest. Knocking the breath right out of Hero, sending her into the lake once again, submerged.
Villain took hold of Hero's neck, looking down at Hero thrashing underneath him, trying to come to surface. Hero tried everything their mind would allow. Kicking, pushing, scratching. Nothing was working.
There it is. Like a switch. Flick! Hero couldn't comprehend or think, she'd fallen numb. Releasing her hold from Villain, Hero's body went limp.
After a moment, Villain brought Hero to surface. Watching half lidded eyes blink at the sudden light.
"I don't intend to kill my prize. Like anyone would..I'll take very good care of it" Villain mocked, his voice smooth and oddly enthusiastic.
Hero couldn't take it anymore, the shivering, aching muscles, tired eyes..and of course the bothersome ringing. Hero gave way to the darkness consuming their eye sight, falling unconscious.

“You don’t believe me,” the sidekick stated plainly, though hurt was written all over their face. They had expected it, in some way, but to hear it said aloud so resolutely, still…
“Of course I don’t believe you!” the hero gritted their teeth. “I’ve known my spouse for 15 years! Do you really think I wouldn’t know if they are actually the villain?”
