Chapter One - Goin’ back to Hogwarts, Hogwarts
——————————————————————————
Tumblr media
——————————————————————————
The Beauxbatons Academy of Magic was a beautiful chateau located in the north of France, surrounded by majestic gardens, and crystal fountains that were filled with water as clear as the ice sculptures that surrounded them. The place practically oozed elegance, perhaps that's why the Delacour parents had insisted Camille's sister's attend.
The Delacour's had been attending the school for centuries, right up to their grandmother, Dominique Delacour-who had been a full veela in her time. Dominique had married a man by the name of Lancelot Delacour, the father of their mother, Apolline Delacour. Both their father, Monsieur Delacour and their mother had attended Beauxbatons, their father only for a short while before it became an all-girls school. Due to Fleur, Gabrielle and Camille's grandmother being a full veela, the two were ¼ veela; giving them a full scholarship to Beauxbatons as the school had a strict student body of only veela's or veela blooded students, other witches needing to pay a large amount of money to attend.
However, Camille despised the school with a passion. It wasn't the students that went there, or the teachers. Nor was it the headmistress, who she had visited many times on account of helping her learn certain essential spells before she started her schooling at Hogwarts, a school in Britain that her parents had decided to send her to instead of Beauxbaton's. The school just wasn't her type of place, she wasn't fond of all the perfection and balls and girliness, she just hated it. Hence why Camille was so glad her parents were the way they are, she was glad they were understanding and allowed to her to switch.
That lead to her to where she was now, stood at the entrance of Kings Cross train station in London, crying her eyes out with her arms wrapped round her sister, who was sobbing just as much.
"I'll see you soon, ok? Summer's only like what, seven months away? And I might come home for Christmas, who knows?" Her sister sniffled, and Camille was stricken by the realization that she wouldn't see her family for over half a year, which was a long period of time considering they would be in completely different countries as well. Parting from Fleur gently, Camille took a hold of her trolley which held her case and her snowy owl, who she had named Persephone, after one of her favourite Greek myths. Looking down at her ticket and up at the platforms surrounding her, her eyebrows furrowed, and her lips tilted. There wasn't a Platform 9 ¾ in sight. Hearing the ramble of a large family behind her, she turned her head and was reassured to see a group of red heads who looked slightly welcoming and had 'Hogwarts' written on their many cases.
"Excuse me," she spoke gently, her soft French accent showing as she tapped the woman on the shoulder and gestured to the trunk on her trolley.
"D-do you happen to know how to get to Platform 9 ¾ ?" She questioned, the woman who she had tapped jumping round, a wide smile on her face.
"Of course, dear! I was just about to explain it to Harry here," The lady spoke, her hand grasping Camille's hand in a comforting manner as she noticed the tear stains on her cheeks. A black-haired boy stood next to her waved, clearly out of place with the family. "You're a first year too I presume? So are Ron and Harry here." She pointed to the youngest ginger boy, who was staring at the brunette, almost entranced; Camille assumed it was her veela charm.
"Hi. I'm Camille." Camille spoke, her hand reaching out to shake Ron's, who shakily took the hand and shook it, his cheeks now blushing red. Cute, she thought, It matches his hair. "I'm Weasley-I mean Ron, Ron Weasley but you already knew that." Camille giggled slightly, letting the poor boy's hand go and grabbing her trolley as Mrs Weasley began to walk off, gesturing for her to follow.
"All you have to do is walk straight at the barrier between platforms nine and ten. Don't stop and don't be scared you'll crash into it, that's very important. Best do it at a bit of a run if you're nervous. Go on, Harry, you can go before Ron, and Camille you can go through with Harry."
Camille pushed her trolley round and started to walk towards the barrier, Harry by her side. Fear struck inside the young girl, she and the boy next to her were going to smash into the wall and get scolded by the muggles and then they'd be in trouble. Camille pushed harder on her trolley and ran faster, the barrier coming closer and closer and the trolley wheels wobbling as she began to lose control of it, her feet somehow still solid on the ground as she closed her eyes, ready to smash into the wall-yet the crash didn't come and she slowly opened her eyes.
A scarlet steam engine was waiting next to a platform packed with families and children with trolleys. A sign overhead read Hogwarts Express in bold black writing and Camille let out a sigh of relief. She locked eyes with the boy beside her, both smiling widely. Peering behind her, Camille spotted another sign that read Platform Nine and Three-Quarters.
They had made it.
Camille and Harry made their way through the thick crowd until they eventually found an empty carriage near the very end of the train. Both had agreed that they should stay together as the two were new to Hogwarts, and Camille had begun to inform on the Wizarding World, shocked that he had lived with muggles for so long.
"Hey, do you need a hand with that?" One of the redheaded twins from earlier spoke as he followed through the wall.
"Please," Camille panted, sending a look to Harry who was simply watching her struggle, having already loaded his trunk into the carriage and was waiting for her to load hers up so they could enter.
"Oi, Freddy! Come over here and help the pretty lady!" He yelped over to 'Fred', leading Camille to assume that he was George. With the two's help, Camille's trunk was finally tucked away in the farthest corner of the compartment; she didn't want to risk her personal belongings being stolen.
"Thanks," she spoke as she grabbed Harry's hand and began to pull him up from his slouched position on the nearby bench, when one of the twin's began to point at the boy's forehead.
"Blimey," he spoke, as he leaned closer to Harry, who seemed uncomfortable with the lack of personal space the older boy seemed to have. "Are you-?"
"He is," said George, "Aren't you?" he added, nodding Harry's way, and giving a strange look to Camille, who had no idea what either of them were on about. The French didn't pay much attention to the British wizarding world, even during the Wizarding War they kept to themselves, only fighting in their own country.
"What?"
"Harry Potter," chorused the twins, the name ringing a bell in Camille's mind.
"Oh, him," Harry spoke, nonchalantly shrugging at the statement, "I guess I am."
The two boys stared at him in shock for a few minutes, only leaving reluctantly when they were called by their mother, who gave the other two children a kind smile and wave. Harry took a seat next to the window, Camille flopping herself on the chair opposite, ensuring no one else would be able to sit next to her. The two watched as Mrs Weasley said goodbye to her children, the twins still whispering and glancing occasionally at Harry.
The door to the compartment slid open and the young red headed boy from earlier stepped in.
"Is anyone sitting there?" He pointed at the seat next to Harry, "Everywhere else is full."
Harry shook his head and looked over to Camille, who had now tucked herself into the corner with a book, the title reading 'The Picture of Dorian Gray'. It wasn't that Camille was anti-social or an introvert, she just felt that the two boys would connect more without her input, and who was she to get in the way of a budding friendship. All she was interested in was her book and the food trolley, the latter of which she hoped would be there soon, as she had skipped breakfast and was dying for some chocolate.
Ridding herself of her cardigan, she tucked her legs underneath her and continued reading, ignoring the twins who had once again popped up.
"Hey Harry, Camille," They spoke simultaneously, ignoring their brother who simply shook his head at the pair.
"We didn't introduce ourselves earlier. Fred and George Weasley. Budding bachelors," They gave a joking wink at Camille, who simply flipped them the bird as they laughed, "And this is Ron, our brother." They gestured to Ron, who also looked fed up with their antics. "Well, we'll see you happy people later, then." And with that they left, a pretty meaningless visit Camille thought, but who was she to question the actions of people she didn't know, especially when she herself could be strange at times.
"So, is it true what they said then?" The ginger boy spoke, and it was only then Camille noticed the grey rat that sat in his lap, its beady eyes seemingly glaring straight through the French girl, like the eyes of a predator would its prey. Reaching above her she draped her cardigan back over her shoulders, which at the moment were only covered by the thin straps of her dress, as she hadn't changed into her school robes just yet.
"Are you Harry Potter?"

hii can i request a hermione x reader with prompt 29 & 40 please? 🥺🥺
! i i was the one that requested the hermione x reader prompts 29 & 40!, i totally forgot to mention that the prompts are from the fluff list!
twinkle
♡ 29: “i didn’t know you could sing.”
♡ 40: “are you blushing?”
Tumblr media
i’m not gonna lie, emma watson can’t sing lmao but i thought the idea was cute and the world is in dire need of domestic hermione content so here we are.
─────♡
“twinkle twinkle,”
hermione granger sang softly to her small daughter, her heart’s full love for both you and the girl heavily dusting the lullaby. you watched your wife through the dark room with a sleepy smile. how did you get so damn lucky?
“little star,”
the pitch of her voice, the sweet drip of honey as the song flowed. was it possible to fall in love all over again? if it wasn’t, you were damned.
“how i wonder what you are,”
hermione’s braided curls sat on her chest, rising ever so slightly as she breathed. even in the smallest moments... she was perfection. were you married to an angel? a veela? a goddess?
“up above the world so high,”
her warm eyes fluttered shut as she caressed the young girl’s face, who was falling asleep underneath hermione’s touch, and you prayed she’s know one day that she’d gotten the greatest mother imaginable.
“like a diamond in the sky,”
eyes opening to check on her daughter’s sight, the care in her look was so evident, so tender. this woman had so much love to give.
“twinkle twinkle, little star,”
with the raise of her gaze, she noticed you standing in the doorway. the most enthralled look of admiration painted delicately across your features. now it was hermione’s turn to stare in adoration.
“how i wonder what you are,”
she finished her melody and the little light from down the hall illuminated hermione’s high rosy cheeks as she tucked her daughter back into bed.
“are you blushing?” you mouthed playfully. a head shake and a few peaceful steps took hermione right to the arms of her wife, wrapping her hands gently around your waist. „i didn't know you could sing,” you whispered, careful not to wake your daughter. “and so beautifully too.”
hermione brought her face only an inch from yours and gave a dopey grin you couldn’t see, for you were looking straight into her clear brown eyes. “don’t expect me to sing to you, i’m very tired,” you pouted slightly but you were close enough to the point where the small movement brushed against hermione’s bottom lip, making her shudder. tilting her head just barely, she kissed you innocently. the sweet taste of her vanilla chapstick pressed and lingered on your mouth.
hermione tugged your hand for you to join her in your bedroom. “come to sleep, darling,” and you melted, ready for bed with your love.

Rhapsody of a Veela part 50
Summary: Y/n begins yet another year at Hogwarts, unfortunately without her boyfriend Fred. Luckily Y/n and Fred exhanges several letters a week, although his letters and love declarations sometimes go way out of hand at Y/n`s expense. One day after Potions, Y/n is invited by Professor Slughorn to join the Slug-Club.
Pairings: Fred Weasley x Reader, Cedric Diggory x Reader, Draco Malfoy x Reade  x Reader / Yes I know, so many ships but still, this takes place over a few years so I think it`s fair.
Warnings: A lil bit of angst, bullying, but Y/n is a tough cookie.
Word Count: 2k

Part.50 – The serpent
Tumblr media
Hogwarts felt different, it became clearer than ever as more and more students were withdrawn from school by their families. Every morning with the arrival of the daily prophet by owl mail, there was an uncomfortable stillness haunting the great hall.  Muggle-killings on the headlines, disappearances, shops closing down in Diagon Alley. All of it made you miss Fred even more terribly than before, knowing that just his presence in the castle alone would have made such a great difference in lifting people’s spirits. It also made exchanging letters even more important than ever, just for the sake of displaying signs of life. You would gladly write him about the most mundane and boring things he was missing out on, writing out detailed descriptions of how the Quidditch matches were going even if you actually had no interest in Quidditch yourself. Detailing every notable and silly moment that had captured your day, of all the students that were trying hard to gain the title of Mischief Makers now that he and George were no longer there.
Fred however, would surprisingly write you with the greatest excellence – the cheesiest and most cliché love letters you had ever seen. It was clear he must`ve had great fun with it, knowing with guarantee it would make you laugh. His little packages were usually filled with dry flowers, glitter bombs and candy. On a few notable, and mortifying occasions – fireworks and such. You had come to realise after a few mishaps that it was wiser to open them while you were on your own, preferably outside.
“Dear Fred,
Know that I miss you terribly, and that Hogwarts will never be the same without you and George. Give him my regards for that. Thank you for your letters, the Peace Disturber fireworks were a nice, if not Mortifying touch, as I unknowingly unleashed it into the great hall at breakfast the other day. It seemed to amuse most of the other students, I reckon we are all rather desperate to have something to smile about these days.
Oh, and I never imagined you could actually stuff Weather-in-a-bottle into a letter, that one especially seemed to please Professor Dumbledore.
I now however, only open your letters while outside under open air as a precaution. In the meantime, I suggest you get wary for the day I find a way to pay you back, with an equally as interesting letter. Or perhaps you have not been careful enough my love, I hope you enjoy contact poison.
JK, yours always, Y/n “
You always wrote Fred on the lavender tinted parchment he had given you, it calmed you down writing to him before you went to bed so that you could go to the Owlery first thing in the morning to send it to him. Along with this, you had a nightly ritual of re-reading his letters. Your dreams meanwhile, were not as pleasant nor romantic. You had to endure horrifying nightmares that something terrible would happen, you had often awoken covered in sweat and tears thanking the universe that none of it had been real. That it had only been a dream.
That you of course, left out from your sweet letter exchanges.
Tumblr media
The days of September passed by to October just as quickly as the leaves of all trees yellowed to scarlet before they fell, their remains crunching under your feet outside on the school grounds pleasantly. Nothing notable had seemed to happen for a while, no mercenaries, love-potion attempts or werewolves. You were not living in the moment at all however. Dreaming of the first Hogsmeade Weekend of November, every single moment of every single day, it was strange when you snapped out of it as Professor Slughorn called out your name after a potions class one morning.
Now you had never been any particularly excellent at Potions, but not bad either. All in all your performance had shown that you did not really care for it at all. When Slughorn had called out for you to remain after class you had expected it to be about your grades, or perhaps about you not listening when he was teaching in class. But as the dungeon emptied itself of students, and you walked up to his cluttered desk he simply slid a forest-green envelope into your hand.
“Miss Y/ln, I`ve heard rumours about your spectacular use of wandless magic!” Professor Slughorn began babbling, while you looked at the envelope in confusion.
“Is it really true? Dear girl, would you mind giving me a demonstration?”
You shrugged, somewhat relieved that you weren`t in any trouble. So you raised your hand towards the small cauldron on his desk, which still had not been cleaned or emptied of the potion he had demonstrated in class. Within seconds the liquid started boiling and steaming, much to his gaping amazement even if it truly were low effort on your part.
“Excellent! Splendid!” Slughorn went on amazed, “But surely, I haven`t seen you using any of this in class?”
“Well… I don`t really like showing of, sir” you confessed, this was why you would follow the recipe of potions just like anyone else. Even if it had been much easier for you to just give a wave of your hand.
“I see, displaying such prowess would indubitably cause a lot of jealousy among your lesser extraordinary peers”
“I suppose” you mumbled, still unsure what to do with the envelope in your hand. Truthfully, you had never considered yourself to be any more extraordinary than the others, if anything some students had made it quite clear that a half-breed such as you, were far lesser than themselves.
“It is exactly for reasons such as this, that I like to handpick remarkable students for my club, I assume you are already aware of this because of the membership of some of your housemates like Potter, Granger and Weasley” Slughorn continued, almost boastingly.
Of course you had heard of the famous Slug-Club, and of all the students he had “collected” through the years. You supposed he had never had a Half Veela in his collection before, and quite frankly the idea made you somewhat uncomfortable.
“Of course I`ve heard sir” you tried to seem interested and polite, hoping that none of the other students would find out. Especially the Slytherins who would surely give you hell if they thought you had somehow gotten it into your head that you were better than them.
“Therefore, I would like to invite you Miss Y/ln to officially join the Slug-club, as I think you have a lot of potential and I`ll host several exclusive gatherings throughout the year that will surely come to your academic benefit”
You weren`t quite sure why you even agreed, perhaps it was because you knew perfectly well that had Slughorn been aware of who your father were, he would not in a million years have chosen to even associate with you. Just as he had turned his back on former club-members that had later turned to the Death-Eaters, and why you supposed he had not invited students like Draco, who as far as anyone were concerned, were excellent in the art of potion-making.
Hermione and the others had already went on to lunch, so you walked on alone. You had merely rounded the corridor when you found yourself surrounded, of course – you thought. Of course it had to be Pansy Parkinson and her little gang.
“Hey Half-breed, what did Slughorn want?” Pansy demanded, her wand was already out. Prepared this time just in case you might transfigure her into a little worm again.
You quickly pushed the little envelope into the pocket of your robe, not wanting them to find out. Pansy was not in the Slug-club either, so perhaps she really was not remarkable enough despite being the descendant of a former Minister of Magic.
“None of your business” you snapped, perhaps a little too aggressive to be convincing.
“What`s that in your pocket then?” Pansy grinned maliciously as she pointed her wand towards you,
“Nothing” you spat,
“You`re a liar half-breed, maybe this will teach you” she chuckled,
“Serpensortia!” Before you could answer a light blasted out of her wand, along with a long dark object slithering right into your robe`s pocket where the envelope laid. You instantly felt it`s heavy weight, as the live snake wriggled inside for a way out.
You immediately gasped, and threw of your robe and backed into the dungeon wall as far away as possible from it, immediately realising with horror that you had parted ways with your wand as well. When the large black snake found its way out of the robe on the floor, your heartbeat nearly drowned out the sound of the Slytherin girl’s spiteful laughter.
It found its way slithering towards you menacingly, hissing loudly. While clambering to the wall behind you, you found yourself shrieking,
“Stay away from me!”
The snake stopped, and so did the laughter. For a moment you thought you could hear it whisper to you, but it was quickly interrupted when a figure broke through the crowd of Slytherin girls and raised his wand,
“Vipera Evanesca!”
The snake started burning from the end of its head to its tail, vanishing into a cloud of black smoke and leaving no trace or ashes behind. You sunk down by the wall in relief, truly snakes were that one creature you had always found most terrifying of all. For a moment there you had been sure it would attack you.
Looking up you saw Pansy and her gang had run away, probably back to the Slytherin dungeon. It was Draco who was standing before you with his wand. He could hardly bring himself to look you in your eyes, as if he was afraid what would happen if he did. But reluctantly reached down his hand to help you up.
While back on your feet you were sort of dumbfounded on why he would care to help you out at all. Ever since you had stunned him in Umbridge`s office the previous school year it seemed like he wanted nothing more to do with you.
“Thank you” you mumbled flabbergasted, as you picked up your robe and shook it just in case another snake had found its way in there. For a moment Draco did not say anything, he looked like it was painful even just to be near you. It made you feel terrible, even if you had apologized before it seemed like you had really hurt him this time. When or how, you did not know.
“You`re a parselmouth” Draco began, and you frowned.
“I`m a what now?” you were wondering if this was some newfound derogatory term people like Pansy had made up to refer to you as.
“You can speak to snakes” Draco explained curtly, you opened your mouth to answer but no response could find itself out to such a ridiculous statement.
“I did not believe it, I couldn’t…. But I suppose this finally confirms it” he continued; his eyes still planted on the ground where the snake had been slithering moments ago.
“I have no idea what you`re talking about” you fumed, starting to get angry again. Just the way he was acting alone was enough to piss you off.
“You`re really his daughter, that`s why”
“Why? Did you not believe me the first time I told you?”
“I thought there must have been a mistake, but this finally proves it”
Now he finally looked you in the eye, with those cold blue frustrated eyes. He looked nothing like he had before, he was so pale and his eyes were framed by the darkest of circles. Quite frankly, he seemed sickly where he was standing before you.
You took a deep breath,
“Is this why you`re acting like this… is this why you won`t talk to me anymore?”
For a moment, it almost looked as if he was going to cry. He opened his mouth, but before a word could slip out Professor Slughorn appeared.
“Ah miss Y/ln...I hope to see you on our next gathering then” he turned to Draco, and seemed slightly less enthusiastic, “Mr. Malfoy”
And Draco, with a curt nod, took the chance to escape. Turned around on the spot and walked away towards the Slytherin dungeons.

Chapter 9: Seventh Year (Part 1)
Fic Type: Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter Crossover, (half)Elf!Reader, Slytherin!Reader, Draco Malfoy x Reader
Warnings: Torture, but nothing to extreme. Long ass chapter. Like over three thousand words.
Dumbledore was dead and your father was an Auror so he had to stay, but your mother wanted to leave to escape Voldemort's clutches, but you wanted to remain. You told your mother to leave, that you and father would join her in Mirkwood as soon as your last year of school was over, as soon as your N.E.W.Ts were finished. Then you received a letter from Hogwarts. It contained the usual supplies list and ticket. But that was not all the letter contained. You were shocked to discover that you had been made Head Girl. This was a huge honor of course, so you knew for sure you had to return to Hogwarts. They reluctantly agreed after many arguments that they would stay at your home on the beach while your father fought the Death Eaters. So you returned to Hogwarts utterly alone. You had given Tundra to your mother, to look after him while you were away. Harry, Hermione, Ron, and various other Muggle-borns had left the school, and many, the country. On the train you did your duties, instructing the Prefects, and so on.
When you returned to school, Professor Snape was the new headmaster, and many Death Eaters were the teachers. He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named was running the school. You felt sick and wished that you had taken up your parents offer; you hadn't expected things to become this bad at all. Then you received a letter from Snape. You where the new Quidditch captain! When you sat across from Draco Malfoy for breakfast the next morning (the breakfast lacking its usual happiness), he gave you an angry but worried look, like he was trying to chide you for coming back. But you didn't come back for him. The Death Eaters didn't like you because you were from a non-Death Eater family and your father was an Auror, but you were also from a Pure-Blood family and your parents weren't part of the Order of the Phoenix, so they weren't too concerned with you either. You were just another doll that they would try and convert. After the first month or so, you were recruited by the Death Eaters, but you knew were your loyalties truly lay, with Dumbledore and the school, so you refused. Draco then asked you to join the Death Eaters, and when you refused him he told you to stay at school were he said you'd be safe. You had organized one of the best Quidditch teams the Slytherins' had ever had, but despite your team was winning every match they played, your heart just wasn't in it. You often neglected your Head Girl duties, to busy studying for N.E.W.T's and planning strategies for the upcoming Quidditch matches. Not that anybody cared of course.
---
Halfway through the school year you decided that you wanted to leave school. All the Slytherins were Death Eaters or had parents that were, so you were subject to horrible tricks and jokes. Blaise had tried to force you to sleep with him again, and you had barely escaped. No one from the other houses would talk to you because you were a Slytherin; Molly, Mary Beth, and Emma had already left. Your grades were just passing, not really Head Girl worthy at all. You weren't having fun playing Quidditch, no one on the team would talk to you either, other than to discuss the strategies during practice.
You kept holding out, wanting to get your N.E.W.T's, until you got a letter from the Ministry of Magic. Your mother, not being human, was dead. She had been executed by the Ministry; she was accused of "stealing magic" because she wasn't human, even though Mirkwood Elves had their own brand of magic. Your father was a Pureblood wizard whose genealogy could be traced back to Merlin, so he was safe, other than the fact he was an Auror and they and their families were basically never safe. You instantly knew that they would come looking for you, even though by definition you were a Pureblood. Soon after you got that letter you began packing. For your birthday last year Hermione had enchanted your school book bag to hold an infinite amount of objects on the inside while still weighing as much as it usually did. You filled the bag with all your books, some clothes, non-perishable food, and other various and helpful items. The next night you snuck off the school grounds. Once out of bounds of the enchantments placed on the school you apparated home immediately. It was nighttime so you wrote your father a letter explaining what happened, gathered some things from your room, said good bye to Tundra, and took off for the countryside.
---
You moved from place to place often, never staying anywhere over a week. It was cold and dreary weather wherever you went, and you were often exhausted from walking, gathering firewood, food, and water. One night while you were sleeping in a tent by the Thames River outside of London you heard voices outside. You pulled yourself up from your bed, which was warm despite the soggy ground. You step out of your tent wondering where the voices came from, wand at the ready. Suddenly everything went dark.
Someone grabbed you, forcing you close to them. A gruff voice coming from your captor says, "You'll fetch me handsome price, sweetie. You must be something special if Miss Bellatrix is looking for you!" around you voices laugh, his hand around your neck. Then a wolf-like howl and the person holding you loosened his grip, howling in pain. You break free and back away, only to be grabbed by one of his accomplices, and you begin to feel the familiar tugging sensation of apparition and you see a bright light before everything goes black.
---
You awake suddenly and find yourself sitting in a high-backed chair in a dimly lit drawing room. As your eyes focus you see a lady you recognize as Bellatrix Lestrange standing over you.
She laughs, "Lucky I want you, otherwise you would have made a delicious dinner for Greyback." She gestures to a man standing nearby. Greyback. He was one of the Death Eaters your father had told you about, and he was a werewolf. That explained why he loosened his grip when he touched your neck, you were wearing the silver necklace Draco had given you. His height and laugh hint that he was your kidnapper.
"What do you want?" you groan, head throbbing.
"Why, I thought you knew? Lucius wants rid of all distractions. Besides, we happen to know that you were friends with Granger. Master wants to know her whereabouts." She smiles evilly again. Lucius. You had heard that name before, why did you know that name? Then you remember. Malfoy. Lucius Malfoy was Draco's dad. But she couldn't possibly mean....
"And how exactly am I a distraction?" you ask.
"I will be asking the questions, blood-traitor!" she shouts raising her wand, and you cringe. "Ah, but you do not know?" she smiles again, her insane smile tainted with amusement. "To bad, you shall die with no recollection of the trouble you've caused. But first you will tell me where Harry Potter is." She mutters a spell and you are hit with excruciating pain, the Cruciatus Curse. You scream out in agony while Bellatrix laughs maniacally. You had seen Moody perform this curse on a spider, you had never liked spiders but now you felt sincerely sorry for it. Nearby Greyback is licking his chops, but all you can think about is the pain searing your body. You have no idea where Harry Potter is, he, Hermione, and Ron never returned to school. She was going to torture you to death and when you finally died Greyback would devour your lifeless corpse. The immense torment stopped suddenly.
You gasp for breath and glance up at Bellatrix and smirk weakly. "Is that the best you can do?" She walks closer to you, and you spit the blood dripping from your lips at her, and it splatters on her black dress.
"No, but I want you to live in agony for as long as possible." She laughs, running a small, sharp knife along your neck, leaving a crimson line of blood in its wake. "What is this?" she runs her finger along the silver chain of your locket.
"A gift." You twitch.
"From whom?" she sounds more intrigued than angry.
"None of your business."
"Very well." She grabs hold of your hair and pulls you towards a door, pushing you roughly into a dark cellar-like room, but not before magicking ropes tight around your wrists. You moan in pain as you lie on the damp floor of the cellar in the dark, pain still twisting around your body like pulsing invisible ropes. You try unsuccessfully to pull yourself up from the floor when you hear a sound.
"Who's there?" you murmur, still dizzy from pain.
"Ollivander, the wandmaker from Diagon Alley." Replies the voice. "I have a nail I can use to cut you free." You hear him move near to you and feel him begin to saw the ropes binding your wrists together. "Who are you?" he asks. You can barely see his face in the light coming from under the door.
"My name is F/N L/N." You reply quietly.
"Ah, (Insert your wand wood, core, and length here), yes?"
You nod, surprised he remembers you, his wide light eyes glint like full moons despite the darkness.
"Why are you here?" he inquires.
"I don't know. She said I was a distraction to someone, but I'm not sure who or how. And they want to know were Hermione Granger is." You rub your wrists; Ollivander had finished his task of cutting the bonds.
"You were young when I first met you, but wise for your age like your mother." He says. You look up.
"You knew my mother?"
"Why yes, of course. Her wand was Holly, Unicorn core, ten inches. Many thought she was part Veela."
You look down at your shoes, tears in your eyes. "No, she was a Mirkwood Elf. They said she stole magic. They said..." your voice breaks off. "She's dead. I don't want to believe it, but she is. I never got to say goodbye. That's why I left, because I would be considered a Mudblood, a thief."
Ollivander nodded somberly. The conversation ceased after that.
---
Day after day Bellatrix would take you and torture you to the point of passing out, throw you back in the cellar, then, once conscious drag you out and begin the process again, each time asking you where Potter was. You were given only water and Ollivander gave you half of whatever he was given; they didn't want to kill him. As the days past you found out that you were being held captive in the Malfoy Manor, the new Death Eater headquarters. At night you drifted in and out of dreams, hunger, exhaustion, and pain overwhelming you. Until one day Bellatrix didn't come at all. She left you in the cellar and it wasn't until well, you didn't actually know, being locked in a cellar kind of messed up your sense of time.
When she did arrive she spoke in a whisper. "Come, quickly! He must not see you." She dragged you to a guest-room that you assumed she stayed in. "If you make so much as a squeak, I will break every bone in your body." She snarled as she threw you on the floor.
The extra time you had not being tortured had renewed some of your strength, though not much. She began her usual excursions, breaking bones then repairing them, driving nails into your skin till the blood came, and all the sorts of excruciating pain she could think of. She obviously had an inspiration, because she pulled you roughly up from the floor and pushed you into a chair.
"Open your mouth." She commanded, a grin spreading across her shadowy face. "Such nice teeth, shame you're about to lose them!" she said in a sing-song voice.
Your eyes widened in fear, and she smiled cruelly at your expression. She flicked her wand lazily and two of your back teeth soared into her outstretched hand. In the same moment, your index fingers' fingernails were wrenched from your skin. You forgot what she said about not making a sound, your hand flew to your mouth and you screamed as blood oozed over your tongue and from your fingerips. Bellatrix hit you so hard across the face you thought you had lost another tooth as stars swam before your eyes.
---
The last thing you could remember were footsteps pounding down the hall, the door bursting open, then everything going black. The days of little to no food, the agony of over a week of torture, and the sadness of losing everyone you loved had caught up to you, not to mention the blow you had just took to the head. But no, you had to stay alive. You were not going to die like this, you had important things to do, and death could wait. You could hear shouting in the next room. Only one of the voices sounded vaguely familiar. It was Draco's voice; this was his house after all.
You pull yourself up and listen to the voices, "...You can't just..." then a woman's voice, "...It was for your own good, Lucius and I..." the voices faded in and out, oblivious to your waking.
Then you realize that you're in bed. A proper bed. You hadn't slept in a proper bed for months. You let your head fall back onto the feather pillow and you run your hand across the silk comforter and stare up at the canopy above. You slide your tongue along your teeth till you come to the gaps that once held your back molars. The place is still tender and tastes like blood. You examine your hands, the place where your nails used to be on your index fingers bloody stumps. The bedroom door opens and in walks Draco accompanied by two people who you assumed were his parents.
Before you can stop yourself the words come tumbling over your tongue. "Why am I here? What did I do? Why...?"
Mrs. Malfoy held up her hand. "First, introductions. I am Narcissa Malfoy. And you are?"
"F/N L/N."
"Ah, yes, I believe we had the pleasure of dining at your home once. Secondly, I would like to know why you are still here. You obviously don't know anything; most adults don't survive this long under Bellatrix's hand."
"Yeah, well you could say I have a stubborn streak." You glare at her.
Lucius speaks. "She was a distraction. We can't afford distractions right now. You-Know-Who wants to know where Harry Potter is, and she was friends with the Granger girl."
"Excuse me, but how am I a distraction?" you say glaring up at him, "Besides, I haven't seen Hermione since before the end of last school year. I have no idea where she or Potter is!"
"She is telling the truth." Narcissa looks over at Draco, who seems to be suddenly very interested in the carpet. Suddenly it all makes sense. You had been kidnapped because you were friends with Draco, and you were not a Death Eater. You were deterring him from what he and his parents believed was his destiny. Besides that, it was dangerous. You were the daughter of an Auror, their sworn enemies. But that still was no reason for you to be tortured to death.
"I understand." You say, "But you could have just told me never to talk to him again."
"We had to be sure." Says Lucius coldly.
"Yeah, but you could have just Avada Kedavera-d me. You didn't have to torture me."
"Mrs. Lestrange was needed information, and we wanted you dead. It was a perfect trade off."
"Okay, I want a word with Draco. Alone." You say, nodding in his direction. He looks up at you and for a split second and you catch his eye.
"Absolutely not!" exclaims Mr. Malfoy.
"Lucius, I want a word with you as well." Narcissa takes his arm and leads him from the room, closing the door behind her. Draco walks across to you and sits tentatively on the edge of the bed. He looks at you, and you see something in his cold grey eyes. Was it remorse or fury?
"I told you to stay at the school were you were safe." He looks angry, you decide.
"Draco you know I don't usually do what I'm told. And I wasn't safe, my mother is an Elf, you know that. They..." you drop his gaze, "They killed her. They would have hunted me down immediately and I would have been expelled from school anyway. My father is an Auror, I had no choice. The other Slytherins...they hate me. Blaise..."
Draco's head jerks up at the name. "Y/N, I'm sorry, I’m so sorry, I didn't know."
"Of course you didn't but I had no choice, I had to leave." You look up at him, tears in your eyes and he pulls you into a hug.
"I'm so scared." You whisper into his shoulder.
"I know you are, I am too. I only wanted you safe. You-Know-Who threatened to have you killed since I failed to murder Dumbledore, and you were the daughter of an Auror. My father figured if you were already dead under mysterious circumstances then I wouldn't have to worry about you." He runs his hand though your tangled hair and you look up at him, wiping the tears from your eyes.
"I have a question for you." You say quietly.
"Yes?"
"What did the Amortentia potion smell like to you?" Before he can get a chance to answer the door to your room slams open, Lucius and Narcissa come in, and you pull away from Draco.
Before you can get a word in Narcissa speaks. "We are going to send you back to your parents, and you are going to stay with them till this is over. You are to have no contact with anyone."
She holds out your wand and satchel. You nod silently and take your things. You look up defiantly at Lucius, who gives you a deep piercing look. You realize with a start that he was pushing into your memories, Legilimency. Scenes from your childhood flashed through your mind, and Lucius could see all of it. He watched as you rode horses with Legolas, swam in the ocean, and received your Hogwarts letter. Your years at Hogwarts, 1,2,3,4, everything, every memory you had played before him. Your whole body tensed, and he smirked, at the memory of Blaise Zabini forcing you to comply with his demands. Then you reached the memory of your night under the stars with Draco, curled up in his cloak, your head in his lap, staring up into the sky, and Lucius's eyes narrowed. You tried desperately to stop him from seeing the next memory, but to no avail. The scene of Draco kissing you on Platform 9 and ¾. Lucius watched wordlessly as his son slipped the silver locket into your hand, and as you sat crying alone in a dark corner of the Slytherin common room.
He glared at you and you could hear his voice echoing in your head before he pulled out of your mind. "Draco was told that the locket you currently have fastened around your filthy blood-traitor neck was to be given to the person he loves the most. It was enchanted to protect whomever it was given to by his great-great-great-grandfather. He does not care for you; he made a mistake in giving it to you." You tilt your head and glare at him before turning back to Narcissa.
"I only have one request." You say.
"And what's that?" says Lucius sharply.
"That I can take a bath before I leave." You say, gesturing to the cuts, scars, and dirt on your body.
Narcissa cracks a small smile; it was a nice look on her face. "Of course."
---
After your bath you return to your room to find your clothes clean and folded on your bed, along with your bag and wand. As you pull on your Converse you glance around the room. You always knew the Malfoy's were rich, but you never imagined this. Just as you had finished pulling on your jacket a knock sounded on the door.
"Door's unlocked." you call. Draco walks in, closing the door behind him.
"I just wanted to say goodbye." He smiles at you, but you see the hint of pain glinting there like the secret he hid for so long. "You have always been there when others weren't." You look up, surprised.
"Thanks. I didn't know you cared." Is all you can think to say as you remember of all the times he had gotten you in trouble, and a sad smile spreads over your face.
He walks towards you and pulls you into a hug. "Goodbye." He looks you in the eyes before locking lips with you for the last time. "Goodbye." You disapparate.

Chapter Five - Neville’s Very Clumsy
——————————————————————————
Tumblr media
——————————————————————————
The next morning was, eventful, to say the least. Camille had always been an early riser, her parents had insisted on her and sisters waking up at 5 am on the dot every morning, they had said it was to prepare them for when they themselves had families to wake up for but Camille knew it was just to torture them more then her parents already did. So when she woke up the next morning, wrapped in the velvety covers that they were provided, she felt a sense of tranquillity wash over her. There was no nagging mum leaning over her, no crying Gabrielle in the bed next to her and no annoying perfect Fleur singing in the shower for everyone to hear. It was quiet.
Just how she liked it.
Spinning her legs over the edge carefully, trying not to wake up the sleeping Hermione next to her, Camille walked over to the bathroom door that was left open on the opposite side of the strangely large dormitory.
Picking up her uniform on the way, Camille entered the bathroom quietly, looking around in awe at the extravagant manner of the simple room. On the wall facing the door stood four separate sinks, each having a mirror on the wall above and a small chest of drawers underneath them. Seeing as no one had claimed one yet, Camille chose the one closest to the shower, for once getting first choice of something. Placing her wash bag next to the sink, she carefully hung her uniform over the railing by the shower, not wanting to crease it straight away.
Grabbing her hairbrush out of her bag, she began to run it through her hair gently. Having slept with it in plaits had done her a huge favour, the usual straight and thick mess had been tamed into ringlets that now sat elegantly on her shoulders. Pinning her hair back with a clip, leaving the bottom layer down, Camille felt at peace with how she looked today. Sure, she wasn't as beautiful, after all she was only young, but she wasn't necessarily ugly (dear god did she hate that word), and that was enough.
Hearing movement from the room next her, and the familiarity of the other girls voices, she quickly pulled her shirt over her head and her skirt quickly over her hips, Camille turned to the door smiling at Hermione, who seemed shocked that someone was up before her.
"How are you up so early?" She spoke, her hand running through the bundle of curls that sat on top of her head. She walked over to the sink beside the French girl, placing her own stuff down gently.
"You know what they say," spoke Camille, brushing past Hermione with a smirk. "The early bird gets the worm."
There were a hundred and forty-two staircases at Hogwarts: wide, sweeping ones; narrow, rickety ones; some that led somewhere different on a Friday; some with a vanishing step halfway up that you had to remember to jump. Then there were doors that wouldn't open unless you asked politely, or tickled them in exactly the right place, and doors that weren't really doors at all, but solid walls just pretending. It was also very hard to remember where anything was, because it all seemed to move around a lot. It also didn't help that Camille knew where none of her classes were. And neither did Hermione, Or Ron. Or Harry.
Though after fumbling about the school for a long time they had managed to find most of their classes. And Camille had discovered a lot about her teachers.
They had to study the night skies through their telescopes every Wednesday at midnight and learn the names of different stars and the movements of the planets. Three times a week they went out to the greenhouses behind the castle to study Herbology, with a dumpy little witch called Professor Sprout, where they learned how to take care of all the strange plants and fungi, and found out what they were used for. Camille had noticed that Neville particularly enjoyed this one.
Easily the most boring class was History of Magic, which was the only one taught by a ghost. Professor Binns had been very old indeed when he had fallen asleep in front of the staff room fire and got up next morning to teach, leaving his body behind him. Binns droned on and on while they scribbled down names and dates and got Emetic the Evil and Uric the Oddball mixed up, which didn't help Camille in the slightest considering she had no idea who either of them were.
Professor McGonagall had to be Camille's favourite, however. Strict and clever, she gave them a talking-to the moment they sat down in her first class.
"Transfiguration is some of the most complex and dangerous magic you will learn at Hogwarts," she said. "Anyone messing around in my class will leave and not come back. You have been warned."
Then she changed her desk into a pig and back again. They were all very impressed and couldn't wait to get started, but soon realized they weren't going to be changing the furniture into animals for a long time. After taking a lot of complicated notes, they were each given a match and started trying to turn it into a needle. By the end of the lesson, only Hermione and Camille had made any difference to their match; Professor McGonagall showed the class how it had gone all silver and pointy and gave Hermione and Camille a rare smile, both girls giving each other a proud look as they linked arms and skipped off to the next lesson , leaving the boys and their matches far behind.
The class everyone had really been looking forward to was Defense Against the Dark Arts, but Quirrell's lessons turned out to be a bit of a joke. His classroom smelled strongly of garlic, which everyone said was to ward off a vampire he'd met in Romania and was afraid would be coming back to get him one of these days. Camille vaguely remembered her father telling Fleur (and Fleur told her) about an encounter he had with a vampire once, a very lovely vampire he had told her. His name was Carlisle, and he was a doctor. Camille had been shocked that a vampire could be a doctor, but her father had never lied to Fleur once.
Professor Quirrell's turban, he told them, had been given to him by an African prince as a thank you for getting rid of a troublesome zombie, but they weren't sure they believed this story.
For one thing, when Seamus Finnigan asked eagerly to hear how Quirrell had fought off the zombie, Quirrell went pink and started talking about the weather; for another, they had noticed that a funny smell hung around the turban, and the Weasley twins insisted that it was stuffed full of garlic as well, so that Quirrell was protected wherever he went. Camille had befriended the Weasley Twins then and there, she thought they were charming and funny, and rather attractive if she was honest. They could well be veela, she thought, despite knowing that they were pure blood. She wondered what their mother and father looked like.
Potions lessons took place down in one of the dungeons. It was colder there than up in the main castle and would have been quite creepy enough without the pickled animals floating in glass jars all around the walls. Camille and Hermione had been lucky enough to grab seats at the front, neither girls wanting to miss a thing. However, if Camille had known who their Professor was, she would've sat at the back, or even better out of the classroom.
His name was Professor Snape, and he was a tall man, who always seemed to be dressed in a black coat that billowed behind him like the wind itself followed him. His hair was pitch black and greasy, like it hadn't been watched in months, years even.
"You are here to learn the subtle science and exact art of potion making," he began. He spoke in barely more than a whisper, but they caught every word, Hermione scribbling down most of it, the sound of her quill annoying Camille slightly, though she didn't say anything. She'd hate to insult the girl. Snape had the gift of keeping a class silent without effort.
"As there is little foolish wand-waving here, many of you will hardly believe this is magic. I don't expect you will really understand the beauty of the softly simmering cauldron with its shimmering fumes, the delicate power of liquids that creep through human veins, bewitching the mind, ensnaring the senses.... I can teach you how to bottle fame, brew glory, even stopper death -- if you aren't as big a bunch of dunderheads as I usually have to teach."
"Potter!" said Snape suddenly. "What would I get if I added powdered root of asphodel to an infusion of wormwood?"
Hermione's hand had shot into the air.
"I don't know, sit," said Harry.
Snape's lips curled into a sneer.
"Tut, tut -- fame clearly isn't everything."
He ignored Hermione's hand.
"Let's try again. Potter, where would you look if I told you to find me a bezoar?"
Hermione stretched her hand as high into the air as it would go without her leaving her seat. Camille heard a loud noise behind her, and turned round to see Malfoy, Crabbe, and Goyle, shaking with laughter, and she had to hide a snicker herself. The three looked like utter pillocks.
"I don't know, sir."
"What is the difference, Potter, between monkshood and wolfsbane?"
At this, Hermione stood up, her hand stretching toward the dungeon ceiling, despite Camille's attempts to calm her down, not wanting her friend to embarrass herself more than she had. She had the feeling someone was gonna snap, whether it be Harry or Snape.
"I don't know," said Harry quietly. "I think Hermione does, though, why don't you try her?"
Camille laughed harmoniously at the sass Harry held in his voice, drawing the attention of the class to her. She had forgotten that most of them had probably never heard veela laugh before, and hers probably had a strange effect on the bunch, considering the majority of them were pre-pubescent teenage boys.
"Sorry," she squeaked, and slumped down in her chair. Hermione patting her head patronisingly. Though she too felt strange at the heavenly sound that had escaped the French girl's mouth.
"Sit down and be quiet," he snapped at Camille. "For your information, Potter, asphodel and wormwood make a sleeping potion so powerful it is known as the Draught of Living Death. A bezoar is a stone taken from the stomach of a goat and it will save you from most poisons. As for monkshood and wolfsbane, they are the same plant, which also goes by the name of aconite. Well? Why aren't you all copying that down?"
There was a sudden rummaging for quills and parchment, though Camille had already been making her notes during the commotion. Over the noise, Snape said, "And a point will be taken from Gryffindor House for your cheek, Potter." Idiote, thought Camille. The poor boy had been living with muggles his whole life, how could Snape thing he'd know the simplest thing about potions. Idiote, she repeated.
Things didn't improve for the Gryffindors as the Potions lesson continued. Snape put them all into pairs and set them to mixing up a simple potion to cure boils. He swept around in his long black cloak, watching them weigh dried nettles and crush snake fangs, criticizing almost everyone except Malfoy and Camille who had been paired with the blonde boy, the only two whom he seemed to like. He was just telling everyone to look at the perfect way Malfoy had stewed his horned slugs when clouds of acid green smoke and a loud hissing filled the dungeon. Neville had somehow managed to melt Seamus's cauldron into a twisted blob, and their potion was seeping across the stone floor, burning holes in people's shoes.
Within seconds, the whole class was standing on their stools while Neville, who had been drenched in the potion when the cauldron collapsed, moaned in pain as angry red boils sprang up all over his arms and legs. Camille flinched, seeing the hurt look on the poor boy's face, unlike Malfoy, or rather Draco as he had asked her to call him, who had laughed.
"Idiot boy!" snarled Snape, clearing the spilled potion away with one wave of his wand. "I suppose you added the porcupine quills before taking the cauldron off the fire?"
Neville whimpered as boils started to pop up all over his nose.
"Take him up to the hospital wing," Snape spat at Seamus. Then he rounded on Harry and Ron, who had been working next to Neville.
Camille and Hermione left the dungeon as soon as they could, both wanting to avoid the catastrophe of cleaning up the spilled potion.

Enchantment (George Weasley x Reader)
by theloverofthunder17
Lost. Unsure. Anxious. Y/N had already started questioning who she really is. Being a daughter of an infamous person from a noble house and a French witch, who is a part-veela, things were never easy for her. Until an escape led her to live a completely new-life where she met the people who soon became her family.
George Weasley had always been a charmer. The ginger had a penchant for mischief since he was young, along with his twin brother. Unlike Y/N, George lived a simple yet happy life. The Weasleys did not have much financially, but their family was built in love, trust, and happiness. But things weren't always easy, there were choices to be made, battles to be fought, and life to be lived.
Can Y/N and George find life and love with each other despite their differences? Would love really be enough to win the wars of life?
