Well here we are again

Gonna keep this one real brief. My most recent job injured me in a way I couldn't receive compensation for and forced me to quit because I was unable to walk by the end of every shift I worked. So now my best friend and I are both out of work and need help, again. If you'd like to help two trans people survive in the hell state of fucking Texas, we need money to help with bills, medication costs, and food. hi i know it seems very weird to be asking for money when my grandpa just died but fuck even though i am sort of optimistic we'll reach our goal i am still stressed as hell about what our future housing situation actually is gonna be, like we aren't gonna be on the streets as we have supports but i just. Want this nightmare to be over given all the bs we've gone through in the last month and a half. like having to drop out of school losing my job getting scammed out of housing not being able to find a job and having to rely completely on my art (which pls understand I LOVE having my art business but it's still stressful), Mason's job being delayed, my grants for school being turned into loans, existing as an anti-zionist Jewish convert in general right now, and my chronic illnesses, and now my grandpa dying and me not even getting to go in and see him because his daughter invited everyone and nobody managed to get me in because it's been so busy, I'm so fuckin tired and drained. Fuckin hell. Some friends have donated today full disclosure, and we're on our way to be able to get housing that works, but we still need help towards it. If people can please either get stuff from my redbubble or donate if they can I really would like to have a bit less stress on my plate in regards to our future

Hey folks!

Since I'm no longer able to do my former job (kid's mental health therapist) due to disabilities, I've decided to try to sell some of my counseling stuff in hopes of making enough money to, you know, live.

I've added more stuff to my etsy page, including new nature themed bookmarks and a Halloween one, (the eclipse one is , promise. I messed up the glitter glue on the original design so I'm not a fan but I'm doing another!)

Anyway, there's a whole lot of kids books, therapy games, puzzles, sensory stuff, and more on my ebay. If you have any questions about anything, feel free to shoot me a message!! I'm somewhat willing to negotiate on prices but a lot of this stuff I paid really good money for and it's high quality stuff in the field. Not to brag but I did really well with play therapy and neurodivergent kiddos (being neurodivergent myself) so there's a whole ADHD bundle that's actually tried and true for kids and stuff like that.

Hi everyone. My dog Gracie has been having health problems. A few weeks ago I found a couple small bumps around her stomach area and every couple of days I find more, and the previous ones I find have gotten bigger. I believe she has breast cancer. They’re showing up very quickly and I’m very worried about her.

She turns 8 years old in April this year. In September my family has planned a trip to the beach that we’ve been planning for a year for the first time in 10 years and Gracie loves water. Always wanting to play in the hose or the bathtub and she’s never been on a trip before. I would love more than anything to be able to take her with me because she would love it.

I got fired from my job after calling out just one day due to having to take Gracie to the emergency vets. I love her so so much and I want to be able to keep her as long as I can. It’s so hard trying to find a job after getting clean recently and I’m afraid something is going to happen before I’m able to find something.

It would mean the absolute world to me if any of you would be willing to help out and at least share this post so more people see it. Thank you all so much for your time and I love all of you.

Y'all

I have been trying to get a new job and this one place - a confectionery - is my top pick. I have confection experience and this place has antique candy and chocolate molds and equipment from 1911 and UGH it's so lovely and the two interviews I did (one a tour, the other a working interview) were so lovely.

Anywho, after waiting for the owners to get back from holiday, I finally got a response and basically, due to their ongoing changes and my seasonal job in October, they essentially said that I could start in November.

I loath my current job and wish I could quit tomorrow but my goodness this is such a good place, I swear. It's not a chain. It's well established. The staff kept saying that they've been working there for X amount of months/years and waiting for "something to happen" but it never does! It's actually just a lovely environment.

And in the email, they asked if I would reach out to them first if I felt the need to search for other jobs due to the wait time, and - I don't know - I've just never felt so valued by a job before?? And it's not retail or just working in a kitchen, it's a TRADE! It's a CRAFT! They churn their chocolate for ages and can only make some products on certain days because they're super sensitive to humidity and UGH it's so pretty and seems super chill. It was a full house when I toured and everyone was just vibing making candy and I am sooo hopeful for this.

And the fact that they want to hold a spot for me two months out? (They said they would have hours for me in October but want to make sure they can provide full time hours so suggested to start after my seasonal job ends). The way they interacted with me at the interview? The way they prioritize quality over speed? The way they seem to want me specifically because of my experience?

Idk it feels like this is what jobs are supposed to be. I didn't go to college. I just had a past job, got promoted, got experience, and now am applying that to a new and better place. It feels like how apprentices used to work (in fact one of their kitchen managers knew nothing about candy when she first started but got promoted over time). And it's work that I will enjoy!

I hate that I have to keep my current job for another month or two, but man, saying "sorry we can't hire you rn because we have a lot of stuff going on but pls come back in two months we really want you" - that feels good
