idk if this gp betting on charles thing is true or just speculation/joke, but if it is true, this is a gp strategy masterclass!! he knows max is insane about charles & if he sees a competition with charles he will singlemindedly try to win (cough austin when he undeniably had the fastest car by far but still had zero patience to get past lol) so this is his way of making sure max is motivated to get pole despite the fact that he could probably win without it. gp on the board of lestappies?
anon this has added a layer to the nuanced gp-helmut quali bets that is frankly hysterical. like yeah it is a strategic mastermind move??? activate the track terrorist impulse in max with a well placed bet on charles??? diabolical. groundbreaking

As you exited the car you smoothed out your skirt and pulled your pass from your bag. You hadn’t planned on attending practice today but when Max shot you some puppy dog eyes you caved. The plan - which you had made in your head - was to get out some of the sexual frustration you were feeling because of Daniel (just from the sheer fact he existed) in the gym and then go to the spa and have someone work out all the knots and kinks in your muscles. But Max pouted and he knew he could win you over with his cute little pouty face. You cancelled your plans for him. You could have been more annoyed by it if he didn’t look so damn good today. And this was the worst part about this weird Daniel fantasy situation. You still very much fancied your boyfriend and you were very much in love with him. You just wished you could know what Daniel felt like and how it would feel to be fucked by him.
Max waited at his side of the car for you with his hand out for you to take. He knew you got nervous around crowds and fans here tended to get a little over zealous. There was nothing that Max wanted you to know more than the fact he was protective of you and wanted to feel safe with him. As you walked hand in hand through the security gates and into the paddock you were chased almost immediately by some fans and camera men. Max held on to you tightly. Not once letting go of your hand. He took some photos with fans from the side but kept up a quick steady pace so neither of you would get swamped.
The Red Bull garage was already a buzz with loud booming music by the time you arrived. In fact, everywhere was awash with excitement and anticipation. The weekend was set to be a thrilling one and as you both walked into RB hospitality you were suddenly very thankful that you had tagged along after all.
After a casual little sit down with Christian and Helmut (which you offered to leave for but they both motioned for you to stay) Max left to go get into his fireproofs and race suit while you remained at hospitality. You were fetching a coffee before heading over to wish him luck in FP1 like you always did when two of the PR girls saddles up beside you. The first race you ever came to Max had asked them to look after you and make sure nothing happened to you. Initially you didn’t want to be a fuss and pull them away from their duties but you actually got along really well and became fast friends. The memory of what you felt the week of your first race flooded back to you. The feeling of sheer panic that you would stick out like a sore thumb for not having a single clue to anyone was or what exactly happened during a race weekend. You tried to watch a few videos on YouTube to work out the basics but you couldn’t follow the rules, what tactics were, overcuts and undercuts and all the sheer amount of people each team needed. You want to bombard Max with questions about his job because you were worried he would get frustrated when he tried to explain it so you asked the girls that worked with the team. The fact they took you “under their wing” sort of say, meant the world to you. It was nice you had made friendships for yourself within the team, something which was so important to Max. Then naturally as you showed up more and more you began to get to know some of the other drivers girlfriends and (even though your shyness kept you reserved) you would chat to them too. You didn’t have anxiety over attending a GP anymore in that sense but because you knew it was inevitable you would see Daniel you were constantly on edge and full of jitters. No more so that right in that particular moment because as if on cue (and the Gods wanted to play a cruel trick on you) he came sauntering past. His race suit pulled down around his waist. Giving you the moment to enjoy taking in his impressive physic. His body was different to Max’s. Leaner. Less broad but none the less attractive. The white fireproofs did little to hide his well formed taunt ab’s underneath. Your mouth watered a little.
Then he went and did it. Wether he sensed you were staring at him or he actually knew you were you couldn’t be sure but he turned his head to look at you. His eyes locked with yours. Those two deep dark pools of coffee coloured orbs were staring right at you. For a brief moment a tiny smile danced upon your lips as you wondered if he liked being stared at or if he liked YOU staring at him. His head tilted slightly backward in a “hey” motion and you knew there was no way you weren’t blushing. Swallowing you felt how quick your heart was going in your chest as you tried to calm your racing mind. This was all his fault - your obsession with him. He started it all. He ignited the flame.

Fish out of water. That’s exactly what you were. Completely out of your element. It was your first time at a Grand Prix let alone in right there amongst all the action. You didn’t know anyone apart from Max and he was ridiculously busy and the videos you had watched online didn’t tell you what to do when you had VIP credentials dangling from your neck. It was funny to even look down at them in the first place. VIP at a Formula One race. Who would have thought? Certainly not you seeing as you had absolutely zero idea about any of it before you met Max. You giggled to yourself as you remembered the night you first met and asked him what he did for a job. Initially he looked stumped before he smugly replied with “I’m a driver” and, almost pulling the rug from under him you floored him as you quickly responded with; “like an Uber driver?” He recalled that it was the best response he could ever thought of and stated that was the moment he knew he was in trouble, he had fallen for you the very first night you met.
The thought of him swirled around as you decided to venture across the way and get yourself a coffee from hospitality. You walked into brilliant beautiful sunshine and utter chaos. There were people everywhere. Team members in different coloured outfits. Paddock (as you found out it was called) guests. Photographers. TV cameras and their crews everywhere. It was mental. You weren’t expecting this at all. You never realised it was such a big deal. You began to walk over toward the suite Max told you that you could help yourself to whatever you wanted in while he was gone. Attempting to dodge people as they seemed to walk en mass from left to right and right to left. All muddling in together. You were almost there. You had almost made it when BAM! Your side hit something rock hard. Whipping your head round you came face to face with a man wearing a similar outfit to Max’s.
“Oh my God, I’m so sorry.” It must be someone important and you were freaking out. But as much as you were stressing you couldn’t tear your eyes away from his. It was like he was hypnotising you. They were so round, full of life and seemed to bore right down deep into your soul. “No problem,” he spoke with an accent “are you lost? Where are you trying to go?” Australian. Distinctly Australian. You watched as his lips parted and he smiled broadly at you. Each one of his dazzling white pearly teeth on full display in the largest smile you had ever seen. “Uh, just here actually, just grabbing a coffee.” Then it dawned on you that he must have been a bit of a big deal because there were a whole bunch of people beginning to crowd around you with caps and shirts with pens ready to thrust in front of him, just like Max had. He must have been a driver too. You glanced away but you saw him take you in. His eyes flickering down across your body - and your VIP lanyard. God, he was hot. Sure you had a boyfriend, a new relationship, but you could still admire a guy couldn’t you? Max wouldn’t care if you thought one of his fellow drivers was absolutely drop dead gorgeous. “Enjoy the rest of your day.” He said with a wink and as stupid and idiotic as it sounded, your heart skipped a literal beat. Fuck. He winked at you! He checked you out! If you were single you would have been done for.
You hadn’t quite expected to have enjoyed yourself so much during qualifying. Watching the timings and willing your man on was such a thrill. You were still learning about what the technical side of things were but you knew that Max being P2 out of 20 drivers was excellent. When he eventually came back to the garage you were still buzzing with excitement. If this was what it was like watching a race you were going to be buzzing. Max sought you out as soon as he finished talking to Helmut. His smile was broad and he kissed you before saying anything.
“That was amazing.” You couldn’t hold in your excitement any longer “It was ok, hopefully make it up tomorrow.” “Max,” you sighed, astonished “P2 is good. It great, phenomenal even.” He read how happy you were for him and how he had still done something amazing “I know my opinion counts for nothing because I don’t know what’s going on but…” he shook his head and stopped you immediately “You’re opinion mean everything to me.” If you could have swooned and melted into a puddle you would have. No guy had ever treated you like this before. As if you mattered so much to them. It was new to you that you didn’t feel disposable. Max’s words practically knocked the air right out of you because it was something you had always wanted to hear and an emotion you had always wanted to feel. “What happens now?” You ask as you gently caress his cheek. Max explained the next part of the day involved a few more press things and then he was free to leave. He offered for someone to take you back to the hotel so you didn’t have to wait on him but you swiftly refused. You didn’t mind waiting on him, in fact you wanted too.
It took a little over an hour til Max returned and was able to leave for the evening. You had been sitting in his drivers room, chilling, flicking through your phone when he arrived to collect you. As soon as he appeared you felt another rush of pride, amazement, love for him. While he collected his things you arose from the sofa and gently stepped in front of him, arms going around his neck.
“I didn’t really understand what you did, all of this.” Your hands motioned toward the room but you meant the whole racing thing. Max’s eyes were staring right at you as he continued smiling. You loved his icy teal blue eyes and the way they watched you so intently when you were talking to him. He always gave you his full attention. “But I do now and well, I’m a big fan.” You smiled broadly. “Well I better get you some of my merch to wear then.” He burst out laughing and you did too but then he kissed you and the moment went from being sweet to passionate. If someone hadn’t come along and knocked on the door to tell him the car was waiting you were sure you would have been bent over the massage table as he showed you what your words meant to him. But they did and you both gathered your things to go.
The pair of you were exiting the paddock the same way as you had entered this morning. Hand in hand. It had been a phenomenal day and you were thoroughly excited for the actual race and to cheer on your man. You almost came right out with it and tell him how you were ready to scream for him tomorrow but Max beat you to it by implying the little moment in his drivers room wasn’t enough and he couldn’t wait to get you back to the hotel. It made your stomach flip that you finally had a boyfriend that seemed as obsessed with you as you were with them. And the sex with Max was good. Great even. And what’s more it was frequent. It was all the time and it made you feel like the most desirable woman alive. As the thought of your boyfriend tearing off your clothes with burning hunger entered your head you heard Max’s name being called. You figured it must have been a fan wanting a picture or an autograph but when you turned your head the man saddled up on your left side. It was the same guy you had bumped into earlier before qualifying. His deep intense eyes once again linked on to yours making you feel like the air was being sucked out of your lungs.
“Did you hear that the two Haas’ have been disqualified for tomorrow? It’s just come in just now.” The man was speaking to Max but still looking at you. You could feel his eyes taking you in again. Max replied something about the floor under the car and something else about it being obvious. You wondered what he meant and made a mental note to ask him later. Then you accidentally squeezed his hand a little. You hadn’t intended too and did it completely without realising to which Max seemed to pick up on and take as a hint. “Sorry,” Max started as he slowed walking. He made introductions. Daniel. The hot Australian man you had met earlier and who had now flanked your side was called Daniel. That was all you heard. You zoned out before you could hear Max introduce you as his girlfriend or Daniel as his former team mate and friend. “We met earlier…” Daniel recalled as his hand stretched out toward you “You were getting coffee.” You thought it was amazing that he could recall you when there were so many people earlier in the paddock. He must have been introduced and paraded in front of a lot of people just like Max had been. You probably insulted him by banging into him. By not watching where you were walking. “Oh yeah,” you tried to play it cool but you were sure your hand felt like it was burning as it slid into his “I’m so sorry about not watching where I was going.” You apologised again because you didn't want him to think you were rude. With his hand still gripping yours you glanced at Max and informed him that you accidentally walked into him, Daniel, when you were trying to make it through the hectic, crowded paddock to get to hospitality for a coffee. “I didn’t realise you were,” He seemed to pause “Max’s girlfriend.” His hand left yours in that moment and you thought you saw a small whisper of a frown appear on his otherwise smooth forehead. The words seemed more staccato as they left his lips - his full, pouty, kissable lips. And there was no reason to feel deflated but right then you did. It was weird. “Lucky me, right?” Max’s loud laugh interrupted the bizarre staring contest you had been locked in with this fellow racing driver. A shiver almost cast down upon your body as you looked at him. You couldn’t even describe what it was you were feeling but you were feeling something.
“Yeah.” You heard the murmured word leave Daniel’s mouth under his breath but his eyes dropped (finally) from yours and he looked around him “Listen mate, I’ve got to go…” It sounded like an excuse. He looked like he was heading in the same direction as the pair of you were. Max reached past you and gave Daniel’s knuckles a grazing tap as he said he would see him tomorrow, race day. “It was nice meeting you.” You piped up because you weren’t sure he would acknowledge you again. Guys did that, they didn’t always pay attention to the girlfriends. But you didn’t want to seem rude - you had already been when you banged into him earlier. “Nice to meet you too.” Daniel replied with nothing but a fleeting glance. It irked you because up until the moment that Max had explained who you were he had been staring at you so intently you felt like his next meal. He then seemed to hurry away in a different direction as you and Max approached the security gate before the cars. For a first introduction it you couldn’t be confident it had gone well and for some strange reason you felt deflated. You wanted Max’s friends and colleagues to like you, it was important to you that they did. It was important to you that Daniel liked you.
****
“God he’s so hot.” Chrissy, one of your befriended PR girls said from beside you. You knew she was referring to Daniel because you had just been thinking the same thing. “If he ends up coming back to Red Bull, then Christ, it’s going to be a tough job for whoever has to look after him.” Daisy agreed from the other side of you. It was actually nice that you weren’t alone in your thoughts about him but you felt a little annoyed with how they were talking about him. You weren’t stupid. You knew it was because you were jealous. Jealous they had more of a chance with him than you did. “Ready? You’ll want to see Max, wish him luck.” Chrissy snapped you out of your daze.
“Max. Right.” The man you loved - but also the man that stood in the way from acting upon your lust for the man that set your mind ablaze with sexual fantasies.

THE BEST OF DANIEL BRÜHL
Tumblr media
It’s dumb, honestly.
You get this seemingly brilliant idea of turning to foreign films so you’re forced to read subtitles and focus—a problem you’ve been noticing of late—but in doing so, you end up with a more destructive distraction.
“Who’s that guy, again? The one in all those international productions?” That’s how I found myself on my Daniel Brühl marathon-turned-obsession.
It was his role as the cute Nazi in Inglorious Basterds that first put him on my radar. Over the years, I would see him in The Fifth Estate, Burnt, Woman in Gold, The Zookeeper’s Wife, and The King’s Man. Midway through All Quiet on the Western Front, I was like, “All this needs is that German actor…” and I had to chuckle when he later appeared on screen. I also checked out the first season of The Alienist because I was intrigued by what he and Dakota Fanning as leads would do with such a spooky-looking show.
Adorable as he was in his breakout role in Good Bye, Lenin!, it was his performance in the critically-acclaimed Rush that caused me to spiral. Similar to when Benedict Cumberbatch took on the modern version of Sherlock, it was like seeing Brühl with new eyes. His playful take on Helmut Zemo in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier was the final nail in the coffin. I don’t imagine it’s all too different from what Tom Hiddleston did to fans of Marvel as Loki.
I’m actually at the tail-end of this obsession now that I’ve seen everything I can get a hold of—around 39 films, two TV shows, a documentary, a music video, countless interviews, a bunch of ads, and a handful of fan cuts—but he has a lot of works worth recommending so I thought I would share them on here. This will mostly be a subjective list with priority on projects I found most interesting which showcase his range best. Like, I enjoyed The Bourne Ultimatum but he was on screen for a total of 2 minutes so I wouldn’t include that here.
Tumblr media
RUSH (2013) This biographical sports film written by Peter Morgan—the man behind The Crown—centers on the rivalry between Formula One drivers James Hunt and Niki Lauda in the 70s. Not a fan of F1 or sports in general. I have nothing against either, just zero interest. But this character-driven film, much like Ford vs Ferrari, had me at the edge of my seat the entire ride. And it surprisingly has one of the best meet-cutes—and accidental wingmen—I’ve seen yet.
Brühl delivers an Oscar-worthy performance in this role. For someone who needed a lot of convincing he could do the character justice, he truly went above and beyond. For one, he befriended and studied Lauda, the iconic F1 figure he was portraying. No easy feat considering Lauda being, well… Lauda. In interviews, Brühl recounts the story of the memorable invite he got from Lauda to meet in Vienna. This would be their first meeting and Lauda told Brühl outright that he should only bring hand luggage so he can piss off if they don’t like each other.
He would end up staying a few days and buying additional clothes.
He also spent a month in Vienna to nail the accent, making sure to capture the arrogance and irony innate to it. And although he got driver training for the role, he also considered the tiniest details like which went on first: helmet or gloves? There was also the tricky business of looking graceful entering a tiny F1 car—a bigger challenge for Chris Hemsworth who plays Hunt—but an obstacle all the same.
All the hard work paid off. It was well-received by audiences, critics, and the F1 world. The first time Lauda saw the film he went, “Holy shit, that’s really me”. Lauda’s friends thought he did voiceover work for it. Director Ron Howard was so pleased with Brühl’s performance that he went out of his way to show an unfinished cut of the movie to the producers of The Fifth Estate (2013). This gracious act would land Brühl the co-lead role opposite Benedict Cumberbatch.
Tumblr media
GOOD BYE, LENIN! (2003) Can't tell if it's just because the two films have the same composer and were created around the same time, but this tragicomedy set in East Germany reminded me so much of my beloved Amélie. This is definitely more dramatic and political but it has that same mix of whimsy, heart, and charm. With its budget, it was meant to be an indie film, but the story of a son who would recreate a faux-socialist world to keep his mother alive captured the heartstrings of audiences, not just in Germany but also worldwide. Brühl plays the son and his success with this film was a double-edged sword: although it would open doors for him internationally, he would also be typecast as the “nice guy” in his home country.
Tumblr media
INGLORIOUS BASTERDS (2009) This has one of the best, most intense opening sequences in all of cinema… and one of the greatest villains. In this wild alternate universe from Quentin Tarantino, he rewrites the ending of World War II. It’s the right balance of dark, hilarious, and entertaining—my favorite from the auteur’s works. Here Brühl plays a cute and charming Nazi, which is very confusing to the senses.
Aside from Brühl, it was also my first introduction to Christoph Waltz, Michael Fassbender, and Melanie Laurent—all fantastic European actors who’ve crossed over to Hollywood after the success of this movie. “Crossing over” seems ubiquitous now but, at that time, giving most of the lead roles to then relatively unknown actors must have been a risk. But for this, it was necessary. Language plays a huge part in this trilingual film and casting native speakers grounded it in authenticity. Tarantino originally had Leonardo di Caprio in mind to play Hans Landa. Whether he meant for him to learn German or to speak English with a German accent, who knows. Either way, it’s safe to say that would have been a different film.
Tumblr media
THE EDUKATORS / DIE FETTEN JAHRE SIND VORBEI (2004) This anti-capitalist film, which has become a cult classic, captures the spirit, idealism, recklessness, and angst of young revolutionaries who just want a better world. Where one stands on the measures taken, or even their sentiment, can be considered a litmus test. With or without reference to this quote from the movie—“Under 30 and not liberal, no heart. Over 30 and still liberal, no brain.”—is up to the viewer.
There needs to be a suspension of disbelief for the series of events that takes place but the setting is necessary for the clash of worlds to happen. It’s not a perfect movie but the issues they debate about in length… they’re still discussions we’re having nearly 20 years later.
p.s. this has my favorite behind-the-scenes of all of Brühl’s projects. Though he hasn’t lost his sense of humor, he seems to have become more reserved as he got older. HERE, at this period in his life, he’s a total goofball bordering on loose cannon.
Tumblr media
THE FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER (2021) Though I’ve enjoyed quite a few MCU movies, I’m not invested in the universe at all, so watching this wasn’t a priority. In fact, I was ready to settle on YouTube compilations made by devoted fans of all the scenes Brühl was in. Upon seeing clips, however, I got intrigued by his character so I still ended up watching the miniseries and also Captain America: Civil War (2016).
Both were better than I expected. Civil War is more serious, while TFATWS is more playful, but both face relevant issues along with formidable foes. Brühl’s villain in Helmut Zemo is fascinating because he tears the mighty Avengers apart with mere patience, fury, and intelligence… and his motivations are understandable. He lets his character loose in TFATWS—at one point, on the dance floor—and it’s magnificent. His mission is still the same, but this time he does it with a lot of charm, humor, and fabulous Sokovian style. A Turkish delight, personified.
Tumblr media
ME AND KAMINSKI / ICH UND KAMINSKI (2015) Brühl’s Sebastian Zöllner is a repulsive and sleazy journalist who has greasy hair and wears too much cologne but I can’t get enough of his chaotic energy. His magnum opus is hitched on a legendary artist dying and his fantasy is to turn the orphaned daughter into a sugar mommy. It’s all kinds of messed up but he plays the hell out of the smarmy dirtbag so it’s a lot of fun. This is Brühl’s second collaboration with Wolfgang Becker, who directed Good Bye, Lenin! Daniel Kehlmann, the writer whose eponymous book this film was based on, would later write Brühl’s directorial debut, Nebenan.
Tumblr media
NO REGRETS / NICHTS BEUREUEN (2001) This is reminiscent of the slightly problematic but highly enjoyable teen comedies and coming-of-age films of the 90s. It’s like an edgier Can’t Hardly Wait: boy goes through cringe-worthy measures to get the girl he’s long been pining for, his two closest pals have nothing but dumb advice to offer, yet he still ends up on the path to self-discovery. It’s awkward, chaotic, frustrating, and beautiful—but such is adolescence.
Brühl and his co-star Jessica Schwarz fall in love on the set of this film. And although they would break up years later, the tenderness between their scenes together is palpable and there’s something rather bittersweet about seeing that captured in perpetuity.
Tumblr media
For a more straightforward rom-com, he has Lila, Lila (2009). It’s about a guy who passes off a manuscript as his own to impress a girl and the hilarity that follows. It’s on YouTube for those who need a fun and light watch.
Tumblr media
THE ALIENIST (2018 – 2020) Based on the novel of the same name, this moody psychological thriller set in late 19th century New York follows a psychiatrist—then called an Alienist—who investigates a series of grisly murders with methods still considered new and controversial at that time, such as psychology and fingerprinting. He gets by with a little help from his friends, John Moore, an illustrator for the New York Times, and Sara Howard, a society woman who works in the NYPD.
In the lead role of Dr. Laszlo Kreizler, Brühl plays the dark, complex, and mysterious Alienist whose study of mental pathologies and deviant behaviors reveals much of himself and his past.
Tumblr media
LESSONS OF A DREAM / DER GANZ GROßE TRAUM (2011) This film is loosely based on Konrad Koch, an educator and pioneer who brought football to Germany in the late 19th century. In the movie, the sport is used as a means to pique students’ interest in the English language and culture—both considered barbaric by the Germans at that time. A heartwarming tale of a teacher who overcomes insurmountable odds and inspires students along the way, it’s the German equivalent of Dead Poet’s Society.
Tumblr media
ALL QUIET ON THE WESTERN FRONT (2022) This story, the third adaptation of the 1929 novel, “Im Westen nichts Neues”, conveys the futility of war like no other. There aren't as many films on World War I as there are on World War II, fewer ones that tell it from a German perspective, so this is doubly unique in that regard. Powerful watch but 10/10 not like to relive it again. Apart from producing it with his company, Amusement Park, Brühl plays Matthias Erzberger, the German State Secretary who pushes for armistice talks with the Allied forces.
Tumblr media
An ideal companion watch to this would be Joyeux Noël / Merry Christmas (2005), another WWI movie Brühl stars in, which depicts the unbelievable Christmas truce between French, German, and Scottish soldiers in 1914. His linguistic ability shines here as he shifts between German, French, and English effortlessly. (Half German, half Spanish, Brühl speaks a total of five languages: those three plus Spanish and Catalan.)
Tumblr media
The Zookeeper’s Wife (2017) and Alone in Berlin (2016) also recognize the bravery of defiance at the height of tyrannical regimes. Although between the two, I would skip the latter.
Tumblr media
JOHN RABE (2009) This biographical film set in China tells the incredible true story of a German businessman who uses his Nazi Party membership to create an International Safety Zone in Nanking. This was in the late 1930s, during the Rape of Nanjing. In this six-week carnage by the Imperial Japanese Army—which includes sexual assault, mutilations, and killing contests—upwards of 200,000 Chinese are brutally murdered. The protective zone manages to save around the same number of civilians.
Brühl doesn’t play the titular Rabe, but his character, Dr. Georg Rosen, is one of few Westerners who decides to remain and protect Nanking even as conflict escalates. Dr. Rosen was a German Diplomat instrumental in the creation of the safety zone.
p.s. with all these heroic roles in his catalog, I’m convinced Brühl would be a frontrunner to play President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, should a movie be made about him and Ukraine’s conflict with Russia. You heard it here first.
Tumblr media
NEXT DOOR / NEBENAN (2021) This is Brühl’s directorial debut. Here he plays a darker, fictionalized version of himself. Definitely not for everyone but quite enjoyable if you’re familiar with his major works and public persona, appreciate the ingenuity of one-location movies, and delight in British-style meta humor.
Pre-requisite viewing for maximum enjoyment: Good Bye, Lenin!, Captain America: Civil War, and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

Can I confess a few things?
I think a lot of ppl forget that Max and Carlos were teammates in 2015 and like half of 2016 before Max went to RB.
So Max knows a little about how Carlos is like as a teammate (the reason why I am 100% sure he won’t get offered a seat for 2025 because Max simply says no) and how Carlos’ team tries to turn the media/team and ppl in powerful positions in Carlos’ favour. But that’s something Max hates. For him it’s about talent, racing for the love of it and winning bc why else would you get in an F1 car? That’s why he and Charles click because they are literally the same in that regard and why Carlos will never compare as he primarily cares about finishing ahead of Charles. Max is not swayed the slightest bit by Carlos’ attempts to make himself seem better, or victimise himself.
I also believe that Sky (the English speaking branch) and F1TV have a special kind of responsibility to be as neutral as possible in their broadcasting as a lot of people still listen to their opinions because English is so widely spoken even those who have a different mother tongue (and maybe don’t have a broadcast in their own language).
It’s so disgusting to me how they treat this privilege the majority of the time.
Thanks for letting me rant. You and your blog console me after yesterday’s shit show. Thank you for your service. <3
you're absolutely right! i remember recently helmut gave an interview "Helmut Marko reveals “toxic” Max Verstappen and Carlos Sainz partnership" where he talked about how carlos and max had tense atmosphere at the team and that he wouldn't want to repeat that again. which i think says a lot, considering helmut of all people called it toxic.
re: skysports and f1tv -- skysports will always have strong british bias, they will always root for mclaren and mercedes before anyone else. so due to that, drivers like max and charles are not really their most beloved. now it seems that with carlos sr.'s influence, they chose to be on carlos' side. could also be because they will be pushing lewis' agenda more once he joins ferrari because, again, british bias. they also try to compare lando as this new rising star despite having zero wins. charles also did not extend contract with them (i believe 2 years ago?) and does more exclusive interviews with canal+ so they could also be bitter about that. (which you know, is sad considering charles offered paddock passes when he found out one f1 commentator from sky lost his job)
re: f1tv. the commentators are british, so they will have british bias in their blood. but i think they should be more neutral since that is THE international source for most people. but they recently seem to have the case of overhyping everyone who gets even remotely close to RB like the superstar so not the best commentary there.

I’m shocked, but I’m not surprised. 🙁
I have no words when I read the verdict earlier today. And to be honest with you, this investigation has disappointed me on so many levels. I don’t have an issue with Red Bull winning all the time, nor the drivers. The only issue I have is definitely the team principal himself. (In order to avoid being cooked on social media I have decided not to say his name.) This is not the first time that we have seen him do this before. As a Formula 1 fan who has followed the sport since 2020, I knew something was odd (sus 😐) with RB, especially with the team boss. He has said mean words about Nicholas Latifi after the 2021 finale, he has said mean words about Mercedes and Lewis Hamilton, and like Helmut Marko who said racist words about Sergio Perez, both of them will never get caught when it comes to politics in F1. This just shows the amount of racism and sexism as the major issue in RB. And don’t forget the issue when it comes to second drivers in comparison to Max.
But you know what the worst part about this is? It’s the fact that the parent company from Austria will never let him go. They literally did this as a formality, and there could be a hint of blackmail, but I will not get into that either. But with the female employee showing 100 pages of evidence, and the company stating that there is zero evidence in this investigation, has definitely made my blood boil. This is an example of poor treatment by the team, especially for women working there. This is contrasting to Susie Wolff when the FIA decided to open an investigation against her for her position at F1 Academy (managing director) with ZERO evidence and then deciding to drop the investigation, and it really shows the disappointment I have for the FIA. Therefore, if you are a female RB supporter regardless of which driver you support, you know this is bad for the world of motorsport.
So I wanna send a message to all the women in motorsport, and to all the female F1 fans out there. The reason why I always say ‘Representation matters’, is the mere fact that F1 is NOT a safe space for women. With Mercedes, they are trying their best to bring women in the workplace, but when it comes to RB, it’s always a disaster. Even when the team boss is caught, they don’t care. They just let it go, which is really disappointing even when working with the FIA. I hope and pray that the female employee is alright at the moment, and is supported by her family and female fans around the world. Please just remember to not ask for the name of the employee due to privacy. We all have private lives for a reason. I also hope that she can appeal this and drag this whole investigation to court.
So one important thing here is this: REPRESENTATION MATTERS!!!! And I will not stop posting female drivers when it comes to motorsport or F1 in general. I hope that this investigation is a HUGE wake up call to F1 that women in motorsport is happening now and more than ever. This is the reason why I’ll never stop supporting Mercedes and I want to applaud them for all the hard work and dedication in bringing diversity to motorsport. I hope that they keep this going, and especially for Lewis Hamilton to bring it to Ferrari.
Lastly, to all the women and F1 girls who are reading this and have followed the investigation, you are not alone. This has been a very difficult time for us in the sport, and no matter what happens this season, we are in this together till the very end. Thank you so much for all the support so far, and just remember:
You are not alone, and representation matters! ✨
Take care! 😊

Intruders
Baron Zemo Imagine
“You need to be careful, even if you’re in the house.” His accent stays thick in his words.
You adored when he spoke like this and you were comprehending his warnings although they started tuning out. Your mind occupied with a detailed memory. Your thighs pressing together, yearning for his touch. Aching to feel his calloused hands rubbing up against your hip dips and stretch marks as you beg and plead for him to fuck you harder. Your eyes stare straight at the phone, dazed yet still trying to focus. His calloused hands pushing the back of your thighs up as he pounds into your cervix so he can hear your soft lips let out loud, lewd sounds.
“yes baby.” You respond softly, snapping yourself out the daze you were in. Not sure what you responded to.
“Wipe the drool off your lip.”
The dry monotone of his voice proves you are testing his patience. Seeing your indecency, he doesn’t need to ask what you’ve been thinking about. He can’t help but feel less restrained every time he looks at you, with those live eyes and full lips. Roughly wiping the spit slithering down the corner of your lip, you give him a small awkward smile. Feeling a bit apologetic but not wholly sorry for your thoughts.
“Soon.”
He utters vaguely, rarely expressing himself. Especially on business.
“Goodbye, my dear.”
He hung up. Not even giving you the chance to respond back. Sighing to yourself, you find something to occupy your mind. Not wanting to guess what he meant by soon. Descending to the first floor of your home, you feel an eerie feeling follow you around even when it was lively with more souls other than you.
That familiar ache in your thighs came back when you sit down on the couch. A chill crawling up your spine but the heat of lust for your husband is keeping you ignorant to the scary feeling. Purposely letting your nightgown ride up against your wide hips, you pull your panties to the side and hesitantly rub your clit. Your breath hitching as you lick your index and middle finger before smoothing soft circles over the sensitive bud. Allowing soft desperate moans escape your lips as you throw your head back in tainted desire. At the very fact that he hates when you touch yourself.
With your mind clouded with horny motives you allow yourself to ignore the prominent tapping. A clear danger in the comfort of your own home that you purposefully ignore until you’re in danger. Life threatening danger.
Clenching your jaw tightly to suppress the sounds of chittering teeth as you hide in one of many closets. Keeping silent, you hear the muffled sounds of two men outside the door. They continuously pace back and forth around the house, their constant movements not letting your heart get a rest. Your heartbeats sitting at a permanently high rate with these intruders in your space.
Parting your lips in a silent scream as you are dragged out by the roots of your hair. Your hands fly to your hair to loosen the inhumane grip on your scalp. Tears manifest to the borders of your eyes as the two men eye you with infatuation. The bad kind. Grunting in this mans hold, you can feel their eyes on your body, crawling up your legs and over your nightgown like a parasite. Degrading your very being and depleting the very confidence you fought so hard to build up. Throwing your fragile body against the wall, you stay slumped against the drywall. Seeing how they frantically look around the home for an item.
They’ve seem to forgotten about you as they venture into your house. Ascending the stairs to the master bedroom and the many other rooms, along with darting down few of the many hallways. Sure that both of them are occupied before shakily moving to your feet. Taking one slow step after the other, you suck in a sharp breath while a sick slug of a feeling tickles your legs. You mocked a sheep, soft, innocent, cute and helpless.
He likes that. He loves that. Being able to throw you and swing you every which way he pleases because he can. So, when the moment comes and he can be your hero, he seizes the moment and takes advantage of your cold and shivering body. Distracting your mind from the bodies he recently discarded as he leads you up to the comfort of your bedroom. He could see the safety in your eyes, the relaxation in your shoulders as he shut the door behind you.
Your unsuspecting frame in front of him as he takes off his gloves steadily, watchfully observing you. Wondering how stupid you have to be to let a man of his nature get you so easily.
Feeling the biting sting of his finger on the strap of your nightgown, he tugs effortlessly. Spinning on your heels to face him and he wants to devour you. Your features are still shaken up from the invasion, your jaw exhausted from biting down on your own teeth for so long. Poor thing. Using his thumb to pull down the second strap, you let the silk nightgown drop down. Your full hips stopping the fabric from touching the floor, you cannot help the reflex of covering your breasts with your palms.
“I know what you did.”
His voice drops critically low as he leans down into your ear. Lips parted to utter a silent moan. Dropping your hands to your sides, you look up to him shamefully. His index and thumb, rubbing and pinching the sensitive bud on your breast. A stunted rumble leaving his chest as he sees your bodily reaction to his touch. Goosebumps erupting from your chest to your arms and legs. Gripping the sides of your dress, he roughly tugs them down your thighs and grabs you by the back of your neck. Making sure to squeeze the sides of your airways to slowly cut down your air supply.
Shoving your face down on the bed, you attempt to push yourself up with your palms flat on the mattress but he knocks you back onto the sheets. Pulling up your hips for your knees to dig into the plush comfort of the bed. His thick finger coated with saliva invades your tight hole, coming out dipped in your wet arousal.
“Say it. You waited for me.”
You are hysterical, feeling his curved cock abusing the ceiling of your stomach. Your legs fighting to keep your ass up for him without collapsing. He’s teasing you. Speaking to you, knowing you don’t have the mental capacity to answer. Halting his movement to grab you by the hair and drag you higher onto the bed, you moan loudly. Your vocalized pleasure ending in broken pleads as he holds the backs of your thighs.
“Say it to me.”
Widening your dazed eyes, you try to rise up off the bed but he forces you back down. It’s laughable in his eyes the way you want to resist him, knowing it’s all the embarrassment of being caught in your little act.
“I- I waited..”
Your soft and hoarse voice croaks out an answer, in hopes to satisfy him in some twisted way. But no. The only satisfaction he can get it from you writhing under him with every powerful thrust to your cervix. The burning in your core when he bullies his way into your tight cunt and continues to ram into you until he sees those salty tears run down those tinted cheeks. He wants to squeeze onto your meaty thighs as he uses way too much force to keep your lower half in the desired position. His nails imprinted onto the sides of your skin and muscle lined femurs.
Even when your legs are shaking violently against his chest and the sides of his head, he won’t be near satisfied until he feels the bump of him in your lower abdomen. Your shattered breaths forcing air in and out of your lungs to keep you from falling into a delirium. Constantly driving his cock into you to feel you squeeze the skin off his dick when you cum. And even when he fills your womb with a fiery white substance, he even now will not be satisfied.

Honestly, I've seen so many low intelligent takes on this whole Max/Marko situation.
The amount of 'Helmut is just an 80 year old grandpa, who cares??' or 'What if Helmut dies?' comments...
First of all, age has zero to do with what a person might mean to you. He's obviously played a very important role in Max's life and in the development of the team as we know it today (people seem to underestimate that a lot).
Second, do you seriously believe Max would think of leaving RBR in the case of Helmut dying or just retiring peacefully? No. The reason he's taking this stance is because of the situation as a whole. Because he fears that Marko might be unrightfully pushed out. Which is something that seems to have been tried last year as well by Horner. These are comments made by Marko in October last year on that situation:
"When and how I stop, when it is over, I decide and not, for example, Mr Horner,"
"Because of the new set-up (after the death of Red Bull founder Dietrich Mateschitz a year ago), everything is different. People are trying to redefine their power," Source.
It's this power struggle that bothers Max. It's the way he feels things aren't happening fairly that bothers him and makes him take the stance he's taking right now.
People also gloss over the fact that Max thinks it's important that ALL the key people stay together. He's not just supporting Marko. He's supporting the team staying as it is and is throwing his weight around to ensure that happens.

The idiocy of the anti Daniel girlies to say that Alpha Tauri is a "junior team" when the whole point of the rebrand from Toro Rosso was to make the team more competitive and more like a sister-team to RB. Like, I know they have zero reading comprehension at the best of times. but it's right there as soon as you view the wiki: "According to Franz Tost and Helmut Marko, Scuderia AlphaTauri is no longer the junior team but the sister team to Red Bull Racing."
and they use it as a valid excuse for their hate like ‘ i don’t actually hate him but it’s a junior team and we have to stick to the literal translation of the word what can i say’ it would be soooo much easier if they just say they hate him and move on

More dragons stuff, a few of the P6
Also screw it, Otto is fruity for Bob because I SAID SO
Lots of rambles below the cut , plus Psychonauts 2 Spoilers so be careful
The Psychic 7 appear much younger than in the games, since dragons age so slowly. The Deluge is still very recent in their eyes because of the same reason, time is perceived much faster.
Ford used magic to break his mind, after writing a spell to 'fix' Lucy and erase Augustus' minds, he created a spell to destroy his own so he couldn't undo it. Lucy is still very sensitive and broken mentally, but she's largely the same.
Ford is still very much the same as well, but tends to be highly aggressive since his mind was broken differently than canon-- usually his friends have to help redirect him when he goes into a frenzy.
Bob is, of course, still very deeply depressed and drunk after losing Helmut. Otto-- who dated Bob for two years before the former left for Helmut-- does his best to help Bob, spending a lot of time with him trying to keep the guy from drinking himself to death.
Helmut, however, is still alive and fully conscious deep in the ice at Ground Zero-- able to survive the extreme cold in a close to hibernation state. He's reaching out as desperately as he can mentally in hopes someone will hear him and save him, but no one does.. not until Raz.
When it comes to Compton and Cassie, they're also pretty much the same-- Compton hiding away to keep his head under control, and Cassie hiding away to handle her own grief. But they do try to come around to see their friends more often, as much as they can at least.
---
TYPES!
Ford - A more generic 'storybook' dragon, with a few notable avian traits (feathers on his back and owl-esque paws)
Otto - More mammalian in appearance, with more catlike paws and hooves in the back-- feathered wings and thin fur, spikes down his back.
Lucy - An aquatic mix like the other Aquatos, obviously
Bob - Extremely avian, with feathered wings and a notably beak-like snout, has a crest on his head instead of horns.
Cassie - A somewhat generic 'storybook' dragon, but with a mutation that makes her wings extremely clear and buglike-- has fur around her shoulders/chest and down her back. Two insect-like antennae at the base of her horns. Her bug mutations are known as 'O'Pia traits' cause they were first noticed in her.
Helmut - Another hybrid appearance, slightly more mammalian (a bit bear-like because, obviously.) but with a scaled underbelly and normal wings-- scales can change color with mood, and change intensity with health
Compton - A wyvern hybrid, looks fairly generic but with some mammalian traits.

Bubble Tea Psychic Seven Headcanon thing
This is about tfirst time these guys order bubble tea, probably because Compton and Cassie wanted to have some tea and Otto points it out.
Cassie: Is first to order. Has no clue what this Boba stuff is, but is willing to give it a try. Gets a brown sugar tea with Boba Pearls, is surprised how sweet it is and that it's served cold, but otherwise enjoys it.
Otto: Admires the efficiency and ability to customise it. Goes for something a little more basic but mostly because it's the first time he has had it (Grape Green with Boba Pearls and Strawberry popping pearls, base sugar and ice)
Compton: Is very confused by the process. Either gets a brown sugar tea with Boba or an abomination of Plum Green and Oats and Boba (Don't worry, if he orders the latter Cassie gives him some of hers)
Bob: Wants some basic tea, orders a Jasmine Green Milk Tea with the Boba stuff, no sugar, no ice. Learns that Boba places use tea concentrate the hard way, grabs sugar from a nearby coffee place to stir in.
Helmut: Wants to try something different, so tries the Taro Milk Tea. Gets all the mix ins. All of them. Ends up with three different cups in his order which are 75% mix ins each. Still enjoys it.
Lucy: Doesn't want something standard, but knows that she could get something horrible if she goes for something really unfamiliar. Goes for a Strawberry Milk Tea with the cream cheese topping and strawberry popping pearls, with less sugar. Has zero complaints, and is considering trying the Taro or Matcha ones next time.
Ford: orders a Peach Iced Tea(his words). Gets peach coconut jelly stars only because Otto called him a coward for not trying the mix-ins. Ford is seemingly unimpressed when he drinks it, but becomes a frequent customer for this shop, to the point he gets the nickname Old Man Peach from the workers.
Also, all of them are confused how to open the tea until the worker shows them. Ford and Bob are a little skeptical of it at first and Compton is a little nervous about spilling it, but everyone else finds it both clever and fun.

quick note that I finished making this video three and a half hours ago but apparently this glorified slideshow was too much and took that long to upload
