hey.

okay. hello! i'm back. :)

maybe you noticed, maybe not, but i have been away for a while.

i wish i could say i've been out living my life, so caught up in happiness and joy and loving each day that i've just not had time for tumblr. but....that is not true. i have been having a tough time! being away has been good, as i've had time to do other things that i like and to put energy into my own well-being, but it hasn't been the best time, I'll tell you that.

i peeked on the dash every now and then to keep my queue full and reblogged soothing things to my main blog and tried my best not to feel guilty about it all (i was also booping on April 1 lol). i just...I really needed a break. i've really enjoyed being here the last six or so months as i've changed my blog and entered the pedro/tlou space but i've also felt so, so alone.

and i know that it doesn't really matter!! like, we should all take breaks and go outside and all that stuff. and I know plenty of people are not very active, but this blog has been such a vital part of my life and happiness since I started it almost two years ago, so any lapse in activity feels like a loss. I've met lifelong friends and flexed my writing muscles and learned a hell of a lot. the fact that I have started to feel isolated and alone on here is a sort of personal betrayal, and there is no one to blame but myself.

So, I’m pulling back.

it means a few things — i don’t know how much writing I’ll be doing from now on. For Joel, especially — it’s been wonderful to meet folks in that community but it has also been really detrimental to my passion for both the game and writing. I’d like to return to some other characters on my masterlist, but we’ll see. I’ve got endless personal projects away from tumblr that I want to pour love and time into (my non-reader fics, my newsletter, a romance novel, a sci-fi novel, poetry, etc). I need to fall in love with my own work again.

it's a me problem, I want to stress that. i'm working on it! irl stuff has been kicking my ass. I've had a really, really hard winter and my mental health has suffered probably more than ever before. i let things I love -- like this blog -- fester and become negative and no longer being me joy. writing became stressful and difficult and I was focused on notes and interaction and looking around me and seeing success and then looking at myself and only seeing lack.

but that's why I took a break! i am getting help and support irl, i am putting in the time and effort to feel better about being alive and to be a better friend and person all around. And I want to tell you all about it because I am so grateful for your time and attention and support, even if we’re just strangers on the internet. i know this probably seems silly -- who cares about a fanfic blog? well, i care! i care a lot! it matters to me and therefore it matters!

anyway. on to the important stuff. here I am! and here's what's going to happen on this blog:

I am working on replying to asks and reblogs and comments I missed. Thank you for being patient with me! I don't know if I'll get to them all but know I see them and I am honored every single time.

I made a totally separate ao3 account with this blog url. I'm working on uploading everything I've posted here onto there and hopefully will continue to crosspost. It is going to take a long, long time, so please be patient! (you can follow my other ao3 here for my non x-reader fanfic).

I posted this fic! Jackson!Joel pulled me back into his world. It’s the first thing I’ve written in ages, so let me know what you think. as of now it's the last planned fic for that series, but who knows!

I hit a milestone while i was away that I am absolutely blown away by. I'm planning a celebration around it sometime this spring (hopefully) and I’d love to see you participate :)

lastly, thank you so much to my friends for letting me complain, whine, winge, etc. I am so sorry for missing all of your work, your celebrations, your bright energies, and all the rest. i am so sorry if it seemed like i was ignoring you. you are my guiding lights, my silver linings, my touchstones. you make me want to be here. i will try to make it up to you!

I want to be online less but make sure I’m connecting more in the moments that i am here. I want to pressure myself to write less and not feel bad that I’m not engaged all the time. I want this blog to once again feel like a place that nourishes me and not sucks me dry. i want to stop feeling like shit about all of it!!!!

He does this even when he’s away for filming but when he comes back he realises she lying and try’s to comfort her and getting her some food xx

You sigh as you look down at your dinner plate again, your supposed to eat it.

You struggle with your food intake, resulting in an unfortunate Eating Disorder. Tom, your boyfriend is so good at taking care of your needs, especially making sure your eating enough.

You fiddle with the rings on your fingers, not even daring to look at the food in-front of you. You feel a tad bit guilty of lying to Tom, saying that you are eating. In reality you are not!

You just didn’t want to worry him as he’s away because of his job, being an actor is hard enough. Your stomach grumbles as you take a little bit on your folk, not enough for a mouth full thou.

However, you smile to yourself of even making that because you just can’t bring yourself to eat that much or at all.

Your phone is ringing, looking at it you see Tom’s name.

“Hello, Darling. How are you?” Tom smiles into the phone, he took a small break in between takes. Sometimes even getting to call you, which he is grateful for.

“Hi Tommy, I’m good.” You look over at your dinner plate, fiddling with the fabric of your shirt, “Are you ok?”

“Yes, I’m good baby. Have you been eating, sweetheart?” Tom asks so sweetly, you thought making your heart melt.

“Yes, actually I have,” putting on a really good lie, not crying on how guilty you are right now.

“Ok, good my love,” Tom reply’s back praising you, when you shouldn’t be praised at all.

“I miss you, I really want to come home. Hopefully tomorrow,” Tom grins at the other end, he nearly walks into a lamp post. He has the habit of talking while walking.

“Mm, I miss you too, Baby,” You giggle, hugging your pillow. Now on the sofa with one of Tom’s hoodies and your fluffy cover, “That would be great, Tommy. I can’t wait to see you again,”

“Yes, me neither! Love but unfortunately, for now I have to say goodbye, Love you and take care Princess,” You smile hearing his soft words through the phone, “Bye, Tommy love you too,” you hang up snuggling into the sofa falling asleep as you forget about the food.

Over the last month, Tom has been away from you. You love that Tom is working being an actor, following his dream. He is always checking up on you like that recent phone call, just now. Mostly to see if you need anything or have you been eating.

The next day, Tom opens the door early in the morning. Smiling at the peace and quiet, you must be asleep.

As Tom came through your bedroom door, popping his suitcase at the side. You snuggled back into the cover, only moving more when Tom came in the bed with you.

“Good morning, Darling,” Tom whispers, kissing your cheek. You stir nearly fluttering your eyes open, now turning towards him.

“Mm, Good morning,” You mumble, smiling into his chest as you recognise Tom’s voice.

“I’ve missed you,” Tom strokes his fingers through your hair strands.

“I’ve miss you too, Tommy,” You look at him. Tom cups your cheek pulling you into a kiss.

“How have you been, Sweetheart?” Tom cuddles you, breathing your scent through his nose.

“Actually good,” You replied, you forgot that you have not been eating good at all. Always missing meal times, staying in bed because you got no energy.

“Are you sure?” Tom questioned, “I looked in the kitchen..” he sighed, remembering that there was more than a week worth of food, still in the fridge.

You looked away from him, embarrassed at how you got caught. “Darling, I’m not mad at you! I just want to take care of you, you need to eat for your body to function,” Tom lifted your head up to look into your eyes.

“I’m sorry,” You whimper, the stress of eating getting to you. Especially, Tom being away. Even though, he has been very helpful when he is away.

“Sh, Sh, Darling. It’s ok, I’ll help you!” Tom comforts you as you let a few tears slip from your eyes, he pulls you into his chest more, “I’m not mad, even if you lied to me,” Tom kisses your forehead.

“Are you sure?” You pouted, looking up to him, “Sweetheart, I love you so much! If you struggle with anything at all, of course I’m going help and have patience with you! Even if it’s going to be a difficult journey,” Tom kisses you passionately, feeling the love and sweetness that you have both missed out on.

“I’m always going to be here, for you!” Tom smiles, rubbing your back and wiping your teary eyes.

“I love you too, Tommy,” You smile, “Thank you, your so sweet and patient with me,” You kissed him dearly, smiling into it.

“Always for you, Darling,” Tom whispers.

“How about some breakfast?” Tom asked, “I’ll make it for you and we can eat it together,” he suggested, hopeful that you will try to eat.

“Ok,” You smiled, “Your food is the best,” You giggle as you take Tom’s hand leading you out of bed.

“Of course, Darling,” Tom winked, cheekily. Tom wrapped a dressing gown over you so your not cold, “Thanks,” You giggled.

You make your way down to the kitchen, where Tom looks through the cupboards.

“What would you like? Beautiful,” Tom asks, “Pancakes,” You smile poking your tongue out, “Pancakes?” Tom teases, with his hands on your hips. He nozzles his nose into yours, “That tickles,” you giggle.

“Yes pancakes, haven’t had them in ages!” You kiss his cheek, “Good choice love, with strawberry’s? And Nutella,” Tom questioned.

You nodded, getting the milk out for Tom as he gets the flour and eggs.

You stand behind Tom wrapping your arms around him as he cooks for you both.

“Comfy, Darling,” Tom chuckles, feeling you behind his back, “Mm,”

Tom flips the pancakes in the pan, “You really good at that, wonder where you been practising?” You tease, thinking of him flipping you while in the bedroom.

“You Dirty girl,” Tom licks his lips, placing pancakes and the toppings onto plates for you and him. Catching your lips into a sweet kiss, “Breakfast has been served,” Tom whispers, kissing you again.

You and him bring your food upstairs to eat in your bedroom.

“You should really be eating it, but I’m not going to force you, Darling,” Tom worries, your sitting on your bedroom together looking down at the food.

“I’m going to eat it, don’t worry,” You take a deep breath, putting a mouth full in your mouth and actually swallowing it.

“Omg, that was terrifying,” You breathed out, “You did good, no rush Darling,” Tom strokes your head as he praised and encouraged you.

“I guess I did,” You smiled, “It is yummy,” You giggled. “Are not going to eat yours?” You pouted, “Yes, my love,” Tom smiles, taking a bite out of his pancakes.

You had an idea, giggling as you take pancake to his lips and fed him.

“You got chocolate on my nose,” Tom laughed, you give a cheeky grin as you licked his nose, “Lovely, Y/N,”

“I know, I’m so loving towards you,” You smirked, Kissing his cheek. Tom took a strawberry to your mouth, seeing if you will eat it or not.

“Are you going to eat? Darling,” Tom softly spoke, you nodded taking a bite out of the strawberry from his hand, “You did so well, baby! I’m so proud of you,” Tom gushed, kissing your forehead.

“It tastes better, when it’s your food, out of your hands..” You tease, smiling at him. You are grateful that you have a good, responsible man like Tom. He takes care of you, loves you and appreciates all the little things.

Especially, with your disorder it has been hard but Tom has been loving, caring and supportive through our.

“Oh, I definitely agree myself on that one,” Tom winked, “God, I’ve missed you so much! Darling,” he whispers, over you kissing your lips passionately that you don’t even have any words.

“You said that,” You giggle in between kisses, “I missed you so much too!”

“I know, baby but I can’t express enough that I’m always here for you. Through thick and thin, Darling!” Tom smiles cupping your cheek, caressing it with such care and softness that you will melt under his gaze.

“I love you so much, Y/N,” Tom breathes out, looking into your gorgeous eyes with his honey, warm brown ones, “You are doing amazing Darling,” he smiles kissing your lips gently.

“I love you so much too, Tommy,” You smile, taking all the words he just told you, “Thank you for always being there and I’m always here for you too!! Your so good to me,” You kiss his lips savouring the Devine taste that he gives you.

“I know you do, Darling,” Tom smiles taking your hands into his own, “You want another strawberry? My love,” kissing your cheek.

“Mm, I’m sorry I don’t really want it but I’ll try again later,” You pouted, Tom kisses your forehead, “That’s ok, don’t be sorry sweetheart! It’s not your fault. You did good, I’m not going to force you,” Tom sincerely, told you.

“Thanks, Tommy,” You smile, “Can we cuddle?”

“Of course, Baby,” Tom picked up the plates, “You get tucked in, while I put the plates in the dishwasher,”

You nodded, getting under the covers as Tom went downstairs. You soak into the fluffiness of Tom’s personal, special cover. You giggle as he always teasing you because you like to steal it.

“I see you got my cover, Darling,” Tom smiles, crawling into bed with you. You snuggle into his chest as he pulls the covers over you both.

“Yeah,” You giggle, “Don’t hide your face to act all innocent, sweetheart,” Tom goes under the cover with you, stroking your head.

You giggle more and tighten your hands around him, “Cuddle,” You say, “shh and cuddle,”

“Mm, ok,” Tom nozzles his curly head into your neck, “I could, fall asleep,” He smiles.

“Sleep then,” You smuggle into him if that’s even possible, “I’ll sleep with you,” You whisper, kissing your cheek.

“Love you, Darling,” Tom smiles kissing you.

“Mm, Love you too, Tommy!” You kiss him back, actually having a nap in each other’s arms.

hey I’ve been following you for so long since my old blog and i just wanna say seeing your growth as a creator is amazing to watch. you’ve really got a natural talent for cc creation. please remember that your cc is yours, and you sharing it with us is a privilege and not a right and thus, make whatever you want however you want whenever you want! my old blog was flooded with messages asking me to make this or that or tweak this or change that and i eventually made a new blog bc of all the entitled ppl in my ask box. anyway what i’m trying to say is, you’re great and don’t let overbearing folk take away enjoyment from something you’re very talented at 💖

I love it when people have been around for such a long time so see me from making shit cc to actually figuring out how blender works and making better cc haha. I sometimes do get proud of myself for not giving up years ago. I'm sorry you felt like you had to make a new blog to get away from all the asks and messages. I don't know why people think it's ok to do? I have no issues with people who ask politely, but a lot of people just think we are cc creating machines who make whatever they want when all we want is to have fun making cc. So I made a Tumblr just in case the bird site decides to up and disappear on us all.

I know Tumblr has a... not great... track record, but whatever. At least it's not owned by a doofus who thinks he's God's gift to the world and can technology his way out of any problem. Especially since he's just shown he knows far less about technology than he let on.

Expect more things from this account, but not too often. I'm not looking to get ANOTHER addiction going. But there are folks who wanted to be able to keep in touch with me should bird site bomb.

HELLO! I also got one of these from @andrastesflamingtitties so this is for both of y'all ❤️

I'm going for less-obvious answers because anyone who looks at my interaction with any part of the internet can see the dragon age and DND obsessions.

1. Being immersed in water! I love to swim and I used to play varsity and club water polo and I miss it so bad now that I'm like an "adult" or whatever and have to go do a job so I don't die. I would much rather just splash around all day

2. Puzzle games! I play a frankly worrying amount of sudoku (and weird variants) and crosswords and those dumb phone app games that only work if you are willing to ignore six hundred ads. I just like puzzles! (This does not leak into my DMing style at all, please don't talk to any of my players)

3. Purple! My hair is purple (the bottom half anyway) and a lot of my stuff is purple. As is my blog actually, now that I think about it... It's just a good color! It comes in so many varieties! When I was a very small child my favorite crayon was Purple Mountain Majesty and I haven't changed

4. Cold weather! Several of my friends think I'm crazy but I much prefer it to be freezing outside. I like it when it's just cool autumn or spring vibes but my favorite is when I have to wear three sweaters. Idk why, maybe it's the Scotch Irish heritage or just the fact that I live in the American south and it's always a billion degrees here, but cold weather is best weather

5. Talking to new people! Again, a thing that gets me weird looks, but I really do enjoy talking to strangers. I'm good at making new friends and I'm pretty oblivious to snide or hurtful commentary from people I don't know, so I'm most in my element when I'm talking to a crowd of new folks. All my introverted autistic-ass friends are just horrified by this, but I think they realize that my fellow extrovert boyfriend and I are the main reason any of them started to talk to each other 😅 but yeah! Talking to new people makes me happy also!

How does this work? the google hangout confuses me a bit

hello! these were two separate messages but i'm going to answer them in one go to fully explain. i'm just operating under the assumption you've never heard of band rp before. this type of roleplay is bandom/band roleplay (band rp) which is, i suppose, a specific brand of celebrity roleplay that leans heavily into the music scene, often the alternative music scene, but it's open to all types of famous folks (actors, models, sportspeople, internet personalities, etc) as well as original characters. it differs from other types of tumblr roleplay in a few ways (it has evolved a lot over the years!). as per our plot page, we have a very simple plot. we're freelance, which means you can do pretty much whatever you wish. your character could run on their real life schedule or you can just have them at home, travelling... whatever you want. so in terms of an overall central plot from the group, there isn't one here, per se. you apply with your character blog, and once you're accepted you can follow the main blog, gossip blog, and all the other members. from there, you can interact on the dash with everyone and make your own posts as if your character is using a regular social media app. you can post more private, revealing information about your character on their sideblog, almost like a diary (which you can keep private or make public if you wish—some players choose to link them on their main blogs). the gossip blog (which, in this group, acts as a celebrity gossip website posting blind items) will use information from sideblogs to make posts and stir up drama. there are also forms to submit information about your own or other characters to the gossip blog. it gives the group a little bit of spice, particularly as we are freelance! when it comes to plotting with other characters or interacting privately, this is where google chats (formerly known as google hangouts) comes in. characters should have their chats username in their blog description somewhere, so it's easy for others to find. you can then hit them up on google chats and start talking! people often do this in character (ic) and simply talk to one another as if texting between characters, or alternatively you can message someone out of character (ooc) and ask if they're up for doing a specific plot. you're free to brainstorm whatever you want! some people have plot pages on their character blogs to give you ideas of what they're looking for, or they will make plot calls on the dash asking people to like their post if you'd want to plot with them. you can use google chats to progress your plots via 'texting' as mentioned, or as if your characters are having an in-person conversation, or go the traditional route and write scenes together (para). google chats is useful for this as you can use their spaces function to have 2 chats going with the same person. i personally often use this to have a para and a normal chat or ooc chat going at the same time. this answer is probably more than you bargained for but i think it covers all the basics! all the links to learn about our group are available on this page and if you're a 'newbie' to this type of roleplay (or any type of roleplay), we'd still love to have you! if anyone has further questions about how we work, please don't be scared to ask. no question is too silly!

Im new to the BotW fandom, how do I get more involved? This is the first time I’ve wanted to get involved with a fandom community so I don’t really know how to start :/

Hello! You've already done a great first step, which is asking for help! Fandom and platform policies can change depending on what you're into and where you are.

When I first entered the fandom, I spent a lot of time observing the active community. Notice the patterns and what people seem to expect from each other.

Take a journey through the #botw and #breath of the wild tags here on Tumblr. Find some artists, writers, analysis thinkers, and overall cool people and follow them! AO3 also has a good tagging system so you can search for the Breath of the Wild fandom if you want to read fics. Please kudos and comment if you enjoyed the author's work!

Make sure to reblog content if you like it because that's how you show your support on Tumblr. Likes don't really do anything for creative folks, they don't increase visibility and you're actually likely to be blocked if you don't reblog things. If you want to know more about reblogs vs likes, please check out my #tumblr 101 tag on my blog. I'll have it at the bottom of this post so all you have to do is click on it.

When you reblog, don't hesitate to share your thoughts! In the tags, tell the creator how much you love their work. Positive feedback keeps the community thriving!

If you want to talk to somebody or make a new friend, send them an ask! Nearly everybody on Tumblr craves interaction and would love new friends. I've made many amazing friends just by following them and/or exchanging asks.

Follow the spoken (and unspoken) rules of Tumblr fandoms. If your post is only related to Breath of the Wild, only tag #botw or #breath of the wild. Do not overload your posts with unrelated fandoms such as Linked Universe, Tears of the Kingdom (yes, they are completely different games), or characters who are not mentioned in your post. Tumblr has a very efficient tagging system, which means that people will find your post if they're looking for it. If you use too many unrelated tags, people can even report you for spam.

Most importantly, be polite! It looks like you've got that covered already but you can never be too sure. Don't send hate anons, harass people over their shipping preferences, harass people over anything, or make rude comments about how you don't like somebody's creation. Don't like = don't read = keep it to yourself.

If something or somebody is bothering you, block them. You can block people, tags, and post content to keep your fandom experience safe and happy.
