💜💜 VEGAN PURPLE OMBRE ORANGE PANCAKES made by @andreeasbreakfast 💜💜 ♡ 225 g all purpose flour ♡ 50 g raw cane sugar ♡ 10 g baking powder ♡ a pinch of pink Himalayan salt ♡ 300 ml plant-based milk ♡ 60 ml freshly squeezed orange juice ♡ zest from a large orange ♡ pink pitaya powder ♡ blue spirulina powder In a large bowl add flour, baking powder, salt, sugar and orange zest. Whisk a little bit to mix them. Add in milk and orange juice and whisk some more to incorporate all the ingredients. Heat up a non-stick pan and start cooking your pancakes, 2 at a time, for about 1 minute per side. Loose motion is one of the most common ailments and is not usually serious. Also known as diarrhea, loose motion can be described as frequent passage of watery and loose stool. It happens when there is more water content in the stool and it is not absorbed by the large intestine. Loose motion is caused when your gut gets infected by a virus. It is also caused due to allergies to some food items, intestinal disease, alcohol abuse, medications, hyperthyroidism, diabetes, some infection, radiation therapy, and laxative abuse, a certain type of cancer and improper absorption of nutrients. It flushes out the infection and toxins from the body. It may lead to a loss of nutrients and water from your body and leave you exhausted. Usually, loose motion lasts for two to three days and can be treated with over-the-counter medicines or using home remedies. Here is a list of some of the most effective home remedies to stop loose motion instantly. While these should do the trick, if the problem persists, you should consult a doctor.
Home Remedies for Loose Motions
The following are some of the home remedies that you can try out if you are suffering from bouts of loose motion or loose stools.
1. Table salt to stop loose motion quickly
Many swear that simple table salt can cure loose motion quickly. When you are having loose motion and you need to stop it instantly, just gulp down a spoon of table salt. You can heat up some water, add a good amount of table salt to it and drink the mixture as quickly as possible to get the results. However, instead of making a solution with salt by adding water, many prefer to take the salt dry and then drink water after 30 seconds of having the salt. However, if you are taking the salt dry, make sure that it does not get stuck in your throat or larynx which can cause serious unease.
2. Yogurt
Yogurt is a good source of probiotics-strains of bacteria that are similar to the healthy bacteria normally found in your digestive system. These bacteria help restore the good bacteria in your gut. This, in turn, helps fight the diarrhea-causing germs in your digestive tract.
When it comes to probiotics for diarrhea, yogurt is the best option. It promotes a healthy environment of microorganisms in the digestive tract for better digestion. Eat 2 to 3 cups of yogurt a day when suffering from loose motion.
3. Green banana for treating loose motion
Green banana is considered as one of the most effective home remedies to control loose motion quickly. Green banana has high iron content and it is really good for your health too. The best way to take a green banana for loose motion is to boil it in water and then to have it along with rice and a little bit of salt after removing the skin from the banana. You can have this meal twice in a day and you are sure to get results by the end of the day.
4. Pomegranate juice for loose motion
Another popular home treatment for loose motion is pomegranate. Pomegranate which is high in Iron and a number of vital nutrients is considered to have the ability to cure loose motion quickly. Take a fresh pomegranate, remove the seeds and prepare the juice by grinding them in a blender.
Drink two glasses of this fresh pomegranate juice in a day to reduce the frequency of passing stool and also to relieve dehydration and mineral deficiencies in the body that might be caused due to loose motion.
5. Turmeric for curing loose motion
Turmeric, the most common spice, known for its strong anti-bacterial properties. Studies have shown that turmeric can be highly effective in treating the symptoms of irritable bowel syndromes. It can also help in treating loose motion.
It is best to use fresh and raw turmeric roots for this purpose. Clean the turmeric roots. Smash them to make a paste. Add 1 spoon of this fresh turmeric paste with 1 cup of warm water and drink it. You can repeat this drink 2-3 times a day for the best results.
6. Dry Ginger Powder
Ginger has antifungal and antibacterial properties and also helps in soothing the stomach pains apart from improving digestion. It is an excellent ingredient to take for loose motions. • Add half a teaspoon of dry ginger powder in a cup of buttermilk. • Mix it well and drink this buttermilk three to four times a day. • Within 2 days, you are sure to see a considerable reduction in diarrhea.
7. Lemonade
Lemon juice has anti-inflammatory properties that will help in easily clearing the stomach. It is one of the tried and tested home remedies for a loose motion for many decades. • Extract the juice from one full lemon. Add 1 teaspoon of salt and a tablespoon of sugar to it. Mix it well. • Now consume this lemonade every hour till you feel that the toxins in your intestines have been flushed out. • It would be better off for you to use this concoction for three days to clear all the toxins in your stomach. • Make sure that you consume just soup or broth or semi-solid food for a couple of days before returning back to your normal diet.
8. Honey
Honey is a natural medicine that can cure a lot of health problems and is very effective in fighting loose stools. • Take a teaspoon of fresh and pure honey. It would be better if you get hold of organic honey. • Add ½ a teaspoon of cinnamon powder and the pure honey in a glass of warm water. Mix it well. • Drink this water on an empty stomach early in the morning. Then repeat the same at least two times in the day to cure your bladder infection. You will see visible results in two days' time.
9. Keep Your Body Hydrated
If you are suffering from severe loose motion, then you are bound to get dehydrated very soon. Hence, it is very important for you to stay hydrated at all times, especially when you are suffering from loose motion. • Make sure that you drink 8 to 12 glasses of water during your loose motion days. • You can also think of drinking certain healthy soups or fruit juices. • Electrolyte powder mixed in water will also provide you relief from stomach pain and cramps. • Coconut water is also a very good agent that will keep you hydrated during loose motions.
10. Avoid Milk Products
It is vital that you totally avoid milk and milk products for at least three to four days unit you fully recover from the loose motion bout. The intestines will not be able to digest milk and milk products during loose motion and consuming them will lead to an increase in loose motion. Foods to avoid: • Cheese • Milk • Margarine • Milk powder • Caffeinated drinks • High fiber or greasy foods
You can treat non-serious loose motion using various home remedies for loose motion. You will have to contact a doctor if you have loose motion or fever for more than 24 hours and if you are unable to take even liquids to prevent water loss.
