Day two NaNoWriMo; obligatory sugar daddy Tim/sugar baby Kon AU.
"Well, you are the plan guy," Kon says, grinning again and pushing his sunglasses up into his hair. "Supreme?"
"Works for me," Tim says. It's meat and dairy and bread and vegetables and Kon is probably invulnerable to heart disease, so he figures that's basically health food to him, right? Especially if he needs more calories than the average guy.
Pizza's sure as shit gonna be more satisfying than a protein bar, if nothing else.
Tim's definitely ordering like, breadsticks or wings or something too. And maybe a two-liter or two. Cinnamon bread. Something. Hell, he'll buy all that and then some if he has to. He's got the money.
Who the hell decided it was okay to let this happen? Really. Is there literally no responsible adult in Kon's life to intervene in this situation? Dubbilex was made by Cadmus too and has his own issues with managing to have an out-of-lab life, Rex Leech is apparently out of the picture, which might be a blessing anyway, Tana Moon is equally MIA, and Superman has apparently lost his entire damn mind, so . . .
There's literally no responsible adult in Kon's life to intervene in this situation, is there. There's no irresponsible adult in Kon's life to intervene in this situation. As far as Tim knows, every single other one Kon knows is either Cadmus-employed or a supervillain or just completely uninvested in his existence.
Maybe Tim should be talking to Red Tornado about this. Is this something he should be talking to Red Tornado about?
. . . sure, that'd help. Red Tornado is about five minutes back into being a person and has Traya and Kathy and the whole team to worry about, and absolutely could handle something like this while also trying to figure out his own shit and keep an eye on all the rest of them too. Sure. That'd work.
This is a problem, Tim thinks.
This is a definite problem, in fact.
He has no idea what to do about this problem, though, so he just orders a truly inadvisable amount of pizza and wings and double-iced cinnamon bread for pickup. They've done weirder than get takeout in the Super-Cycle and they'll do weirder again. Besides, it could use the . . . exercise, or whatever that counts as. Not like the Super-Cycle has muscles, but it does get tired sometimes and seem to appreciate getting out and–well, whatever. That's just something to figure out later, probably.
Tim really should figure that out, though. And also if the Super-Cycle is gonna be down for going supervillain, because yeah, that's obviously a thing to keep in mind.
He flies it to the pizza joint, and spends the flight casually grilling Kon about his coworkers and employee benefits and the Cadmus security systems. The answers are: a lot of lab-born clones and too many grown-ass adults who have no excuse not to know better, work-related health care and nothing else, and Kon and Guardian, mostly. And also some random weird death traps and a couple of cameras here and there, apparently, but it all sounds incredibly dated to Tim's ears and it really seems like Kon and Guardian are taking on the lion's share of everything more complicated than watching a feed or flipping on an alarm system. Like, it really does.
So that's not great.
"Jesus, man, how much did you order?" Kon snorts with a laugh while Tim's paying the girl at the drive-up window in cash. He doesn't really want to explain this particular expense on the Bat credit card. Generally he doesn't want to explain takeout and junk food on there at all, in fact, though obviously he makes a point of going to Batburger with Steph once a month, just to hear Bruce sigh about it later. Appropriate teenage nonsense and all. He gets the kids' meal and the terrifyingly purple Spoiler shake every time. It tastes like acidic cotton candy. Yes, literally. "Like just the whole menu or what?"
"Of course I did. I've got a Kryptonian to carry it all for me, don't I?" Tim replies with a smirk he doesn't really feel after everything he's learned today. Everything Kon just told him, because he doesn't see what's wrong with any of it.
It reminds him of the abused kids he meets on the job who insist they're fine, and they don't need Batman and Robin to save them.
He wonders if Jason was like that, when Bruce first met him.
He also wonders if he maybe did over-order a little on the pizza, but worst case scenario the leftovers should fit in the fridge.
. . . maybe, anyway. Probably.
Mostly?
Kon immediately cracks into the cinnamon bread on the flight back because he has absolutely no manners whatsoever, and Tim rolls his eyes at him and tries not to visibly brood over the five-alarm fire burning down his brain right now.
He just . . . doesn't understand how Superman is apparently just fine with this situation. He doesn't even understand how Kon is fine with this situation, but is increasingly certain that the answer to that might just be that Kon doesn't think he has another option.
He doesn't have another option, as far as Tim can tell. What would he do, crash at the base and just mooch off everyone else for food and gear and whatever else he needs day-to-day?
Yeah, not exactly a sustainable lifestyle, that.
Not even a little bit of one.
Technically, Tim could just pay for whatever Kon needed, between his allowance and his trust fund and without even taking his Bat-stipend into account, but there is no possible way Kon would ever actually go for that. He's way too proud, and even someone with no pride at all would probably find "please let me pay you to quit your horrible job" a hard pill to swallow from a teammate, much less the leader they only barely recognize the authority of.

Tumblr media Tumblr media
Since the mission where Loki revealed he could see into your mind, you had stayed a rooms width from him at all times. You had no idea if it would make a difference. You hadn’t stuck around long enough to find out. But it made you feel better.
At least, that was what you told yourself.
You would admit that a month without Loki in your bed felt like twelve. But if the asshat did have the audacity to leer into your thoughts- all he would see is simmering rage. It made you feel better, knowing that. At least, that’s what you told yourself.
Steve’s chevy drew carefully into a marked bay to the excited squeals of Wanda and Nat sandwiching you in the back seat. “Now ladies don’t get too excited..." Steve drawled. "Let’s all disembark in an orderly fashion.” He gently pulled up the handbrake, giving it an overcautious tug. “It’s the beach, not a bordello. Most accidents happen twenty feet from your destination and carelessness...costs lives.” He glanced over his shoulder, cocking an eyebrow judgementally at the three of you jostling in the seats like rowdy children. You pursed your lips to stifle a laugh. Only Rogers could make a day out at the beach with three half naked women in the back of his open top car into a lesson in health and safety. “Yes, Sir.” Wanda said reverently, as you and Nat begin to shake with silent laughter. Steve frowned, his next remark interrupted by the growling roar of an approaching engine. A green Jaguar swung into the bay beside the chevy screeching to a halt against the tarmac with a furious skid. Steve’s frown deepened. “Remind me who taught Laufeyson to drive, again?” You rolled your eyes, avoiding the sight that was about to present itself. “May we disembark now?” you sniped, trying to stay the urgency in your voice. “Yes Ma’am.” he replied, keeping his eyes fixed on the doors of the Jag opening in sync. The men inside unfurled from the car one by one like movie stars. Thor straightened first from the passenger door, flicking his blonde hair back over bare, bronzed skin. He swung a gym bag with a towel hanging out over one engorged shoulder, throwing Nat a subtle wink as he turned and slammed the door shut. You could have sworn he was sticking his ass out. Wilson tipped you and the girls a nod, sliding a pair of sunglasses on as he turned appraisingly towards the beach. “Got out usual spot cordoned off?” he said solemnly. Steve nodded, as Wanda piped up. “I’ve still to enchant the barriers. but they’re aware.” Sam nodded, as your eyes wandered to Loki at the other side of the Jaguar. He ascended from the driver’s seat like an aftershave advert, running a hand through loose, glossy hair. The trademark black suit he had chosen was incredibly out of place. But what else would Loki Laufeyson wear at the the beach? you thought abrasively, realising too late that you were staring. Even in profile, he was devastatingly handsome. His arrogance set in a glacial expression as he observed the beckoning flats and dunes with distaste. The god screwed up his eyes towards the sun, brow furrowed before a theatrical snap of his fingers made the driver door swung shut unaided with a muffled slap. “How do we look, Thor?” Wanda cooed, standing and placing her hands on her hips. Red hair fell around her shoulders, trailing down to the curve of her bikini-clad cleavage. “Both you and Romanoff look incandescently buxom this fine day. A delight for the eyes and the imagination.” he growled, leaning a ham-sized forearm on the roof of the Jag. Wilson smacked him in the stomach.
“What about her?” Nat scoffed, waggling a thumb in your direction. Thor flushed, readjusting the bag resting on his shoulder as his eyes searched frantically for something to focus on. “Come, Wilson, Banner...and Lang, do not forget the ardent spirits!" he shouted as he jostled away, shaking his rounded ass with every step. “We must secure a prime location.” he boomed, gesturing dramatically ahead to the empty stretch of beach far too loudly to be anything less than suspicious. You rolled your eyes as the men shuffled away, bickering. “What was that about?” Nat murmured at your back as the three of you filed out of the chevy. “It’s a long story, but suffice to say its some Asgardian bullshit.” you scoffed. “So you and Loki are still...-” she started, before you cut her off. “Mortal enemies? Yah.” you snapped bluntly. Nat chuckled. “Maybe you guys are too similar.” she said, sliding on her sunglasses as Wanda raced ahead, palms glowing red. “He’s a lying, arrogant arsehole and I am nothing like him.” you mumbled, rummaging in your bag as sand sank into your flip-flops. “He’s always been those things, what changed?” Nat probed. You could tell she had her interrogation-mode on, and this was a fight you would lose. With her, you always did. You sighed. “He can-” “Agent, can I have a word?” Steve called politely behind you. Nat gave you a nod, walking on as you hovered for the captain to catch up. He jogged across the sand in a pair of salmon coloured chino shorts, every inch the frat boy who never was. Placing his hands on his hips, he came to a stop. “It’s not gone unnoticed that things have cooled between you and Laufeyson again.” He arched a brow, blue eyes full of condescending concern. “Spats like this can really upset the ol’ team spirit, you know?” You pressed your lips together, inhaling through your nose. Steve continued, unawares. “I know he’s not the easiest but...just make an effort to be pals again. He might surprise you.” “Duly noted.” you said, forcing a smile. You spun away, throwing your eyes to the sky in a silent scream. The rest of the crew had set up camp near the middle of the stretch of beach reserved for the team thanks to Tony’s coastguard connections. You walked on for another minute, flapping your towel out and throwing your bag down. A sigh rose in the thick, hot air as you felt the warmth shifting beneath your ass. Reaching for your book, a long shadow fell over the golden sand spread before you. “Agent.” You closed your eyes, willing death to take you swiftly. “Go away.” you said through gritted teeth, shoving your sunglasses on and opening your book without looking up. The yellow, tea stained pages lay flat against your crossed legs, hunched over to prevent curiosity ruining the drama of your resistance. All you could see out the corner of your eye were a pair of ridiculously toned, naked calves. You swallowed, mouth suddenly dry. “Impossible, I’m afraid. I have a direct order from the boss to ‘make nice’ with you.” he quipped. You flinched as a dark green beach towel manifested, stretched neatly on the sand next to yours. “I informed him that I am always nice but apparently there are limits to the naivety of Captain Rogers. Who knew.”
You tried to focus on the words in front of you, typeface blurring as Loki’s pale body barged into your peripherary. Please don’t be wearing the skimpy, tight trunks, you thought; cursing the growing heat between your legs. It’s just the sand. It’s just the warm sand.
So, how have you been, darling?” he drawled innocently, an undertone of sarcasm tainting practised sincerity. “Fuck you, Loki.” you snarled, reading the same line of text for the sixth time. “Why don’t you just dig around in my head and find out?” Loki laughed softly. “You’re missing me, that much is obvious.” he purred. “The sexual frustration is tangible, Agent.” You inhaled sharply, head snapping to the side. All the insults and barbs on the tip of your tongue melted at the sight of him. Of course he’s wearing the fucking tight trunks, Jesus Christ, you thought; fighting to maintain stoicism. And what is that, a fucking negligee? The god’s impossibly long legs were stretched out over the edge of the towel, ankles crossed and resting on the sand. The fine hairs on his calves caught the sunlight, running up to his achingly thick thigh muscles which flexed as he adjusted his hips. Some kind of slutty caftan was wrapped around him, hanging open whoreishly around his thick, muscled torso. Luxurious sides of the garment hung to the flawless build of his body, the edges spreading out at those toned hips. The hue of his skin was visible through the cover-up, expensive silk-chiffon shimmering lightly in the afternoon rays. Gold embroidery laced the edging, the hem shifting seductively up his wide femurs as he settled back without a care in the world. The fateful pair of swim shorts clung to his upper-thighs, material cutting every-so-slightly into taut muscle. Low rise nylon skimmed the base of his Adonis belt, deep grooves of definition rolling upward to the abdomen you still felt pressing the breath from your body atop you in your dreams. Loki snickered, reclining back on his elbows. Clearly, he wasn’t planning on going anywhere. “For someone who is so appalled by the very idea of my revelation, you certainly are resistant to discovering the solution. And there is a solution, Agent.” “Does it involved you monologuing?” you hissed under your breath as Steve sauntered past towards the larger group, subtley side-eyeing you both. You flashed a strained smile in his direction, continuing through gritted teeth. “Because I don’t think I have sufficient will to live to spare.” Loki lay back against the towel, a pair of classic Ray Bans manifesting over his eyes. He raised his arms, slotting them casually behind his head as he tilted his chin towards to the sun. “In my experience, a monologue vastly improves the quality of any conversation, Agent.” You frowned. “But no one else can get a word in.” you snapped blankly. “Precisely.” he smirked. There was a pause. “That caftan looks stupid.” you sniffed, petulantly. Loki said nothing, the ghost of a smile flickering at his dimples. Your reluctant stare ran over the bulge of his biceps, carved and ferocious beneath the feminine allure of the chiffon. A flank of loose black hair haloed his head, spilling over those broad shoulders and spreading in loose waves against his collarbone. The muscles there flexed as he adjusted himself, arching his back before settling into position. The edges of the sensual robe fell to the sides of his thick trunk, the sight of his defined obliques hitting you like a truck.
You looked back to your book quickly as he raised his head, interest piqued by a high pitched noise over by Wanda’s forcefield.
“Oh look, Agent. Your fans are here.” he drawled, gesturing lazily to the side. Your eyes flew up, immediately seeing twenty hysterical looking women shamelessly trying to bypass the security barricade down the beach. Three of them had their tits out, t-shirts held high in your direction. “I think they’re for you, actually.” you replied coldly, returning to your novel. He lowered his sunglasses, giving a polite wave. “Oh, so they are. My mistake.” he quipped, lying back down with a telltale smirk curling his lip. A minute passed in awkward silence. “Are you really just going to lie there?” you said, irritation seeping through the words as you re-read the same line over and over. “Are you really going to pretend to read that book and summon most tedious images you can muster to avoid my mildly telepathic endeavours?” he countered. You slammed the book closed, twisting towards him as he continued. “Darling, I’m delighted to inform you that you aren’t interesting enough to ignite the phenomenon most of the time.” Your jaw clenched, a growl building as you glared at him through your sunglasses with a futile waste of a death-stare. “Are you alright Agent? You seem perturbed.” he said with mock-innocence, offering a concerned tilt of his head.
“I’m fine.” you replied, a little higher pitched than you’d intended. “It’s your brother whose lost it.” Loki clucked, letting his head fall back with an amused sigh. Tendrils of hair nestled between his shoulder-blades, the fairness of his luminescent skin making your eyes water with reluctant desire. “It makes no difference if you are mine physically. Between he and I, you belong to me.” “Uh huh.” you grunted, feeling your heart beat faster. Disinterest. Hold it together, idiot. You cleared your throat. “What if I told you I was madly in love with your brother and would positively die without him?” The two of you looked up, just at the moment a large inflatable ball smacked Thor in the mouth with a loud slap. He stood dazed for a moment, before his fists clenched. “Damn this spherical assassin.” he roared. "Get thee from my sight!" He attempted to kick it away, and missed. Loki fought to retain his composure. “Well firstly, I would have you medically assessed.” he smirked, before melting to a frown. His voice deepened, regal gravitas seeping through. “In truth he would be forced to decline or face the eternal judgement of the Asgardian Elderbook. I can assure you that it is not an experience he wishes to repeat.” You let out a puff of air, scoffing heartily. “So he’s broken your Most Assyoor-red Oath before.” you mocked. “Nothing stopping him doing it again, clearly its a slap on the wrist.”
Loki chuckled, rolling his neck in a semi circle and letting out a low, sensual groan as something clicked. “My brother lives in abject terror that any attention towards you may be construed as an attempt to undermine the Oath’s hold.” he murmured casually, pausing for effect. “In truth, he had his manly appendage removed from his form for a millennia the last time he forswore the Oath of Most Ass-ure-red Recompense.” the god hummed, pointing his toes and digging them into the sand. “I was there for the enchantment. It was quite something. Even for a god, a millennia is not an insubstantial amount of-” “Wait, he didn’t have a cock for like a thousand years?” you gasped, scouring around to make sure no one was in earshot. Loki shrugged. “Indeed. As smooth as Carrara marble. I may have pulled a few strings as I am known to do, Agent. In the end he only served six hundred.” “Explains why he’s such a relentless pervert.” you mumbled, catching sight of Thor jogging along the shoreline with Wanda hoisted over his shoulders. “Quite.” Loki said solemnly. “But the boon was that I gained his Oath by coming to his aid...eventually-” “-which you wasted on me.” you finished bitterly, concentrating on Wanda screeching with hysterical laughter as Thor threw her in the air like a doll. A wave of envy surged in your belly. If only Loki wasn’t such a wanker, you thought. Your unwelcome companion sat up on the beach-towel, the crunch of his sickeningly defined abs visible in your periphery. He leant his face over your shoulder, the heat from his skin so close to yours feeling warmer than the pulsing sun. “You say wasted, I say...invested, Agent.” You swallowed, trying to think of anything in this moment other than Loki flipping you over on the sand and grinding his solid torso against your keening body. Shit, you thought; as the mental image of his sandy hair flipping over those achingly hot shoulders filled your mind. Your thighs squeezing around his hips as he dragged himself against your own. His fingers curling around the edge of the towel as he fell apart inside your hot cun- “The ‘Offs are staring.” Loki sneered, nodding towards a conspiratorial looking Nat and Wanda hunched together casting unsubtle glances in your direction. Lang broke out the tequila already, you thought with a grimace. A coy smile pressed against Loki’s dimples as he watched your cheeks flush. “They’re just impressed I’ve not choked you yet.” you said, aimlessly turning the page of your book while you feigned disinterest. “Ah.” Loki breathed, resting back on his elbows again. “And yet you know very well that I am partial to a little erotic asphyxiation, Agent. I’d be happy to be on the receiving end for once.” You let out a ragged sigh, clenching wetly beneath your bikini bottoms. Wayward grains of sand stuck to your inner thighs, a mix of anxious sweat and arousal combining under the lightest of flirtatious interrogation. You snapped the book closed, placing it pointedly over your crotch. Like I'm hiding a fucking boner. “I’m surprised you told them of our dalliances, actually.” Loki continued, un-phased. “Considering how absolutely loathsome you find it all.” he purred, drawing his muscled knees upwards, feet flat against the towel. The perfect position to straddle him, you thought; gaze lingering on the mouth-watering bulge protruding from the tight trunks. “It was a slow news day.” you muttered, shaded eyes running over the landscape of his hips, up the valley of rippling abs.
How you wanted to feel him harden through the twin, thin nylon strips of your swimsuits. Feel his meaty erection inflating against your messy, hot slit begging to be filled. How you would rub against it; the flushed, swollen nerves that missed his every moan, his every lick, every thrum of his talented fingers.
Loki’s sharp jawline was pointed to the sky, the sweep of his cheekbones accentuated by dark wayfarers that concealed any indication of interest. Silence, at last. There was a pause. “I wouldn’t recommend fucking on sand, darling.” Loki murmured casually, without moving his head. “Even magic cannot remove every grain from one’s nethers.” Without thinking, you smacked his thigh with your book, making him flinch. “Ow.” he growled, immediately springing to his knees, looming above you. Curls fell back in a black curtain behind his ears as he slid the Ray Bans into his hair. Those smouldering eyes bore into yours, flashing menacingly beneath a fluttering fan of dark lashes. “Be careful, Agent." he purred darkly. "That was dangerously close to flirting.” You shivered. “You wouldn’t want to give me the wrong idea, would you?” he growled, cupping the side of your neck with one sand dusted hand. His thumb rubbed the angle of your jaw once. Twice. “Stop...reading...my..mind, asshole.” you enunciated slowly through gritted teeth. The line of your vision which had begun at his chest, rose inch by inch to meet his. “Would that I could, Agent.” he murmured, as you heard the sound of muffled footsteps approaching at a run. “But you see...that depends on you. And you won’t hear it.” Loki’s brows slanted thoughtfully, as time ran out. “What happened? You guys...cool?” Wilson shouted warily, every thunder of his long legs on the sand beside Nat making your stomach twist as you jumped to your feet. “Fine.” you said bluntly, seeing Rogers flushed face jogging close behind them as you began dusting sand from your legs. “Who fancies a swim?” you said flatly, looking between Wilson and Natasha. “What an inspired idea.” Loki said, gracefully rising to his feet. With a tilt of his head, the sand which had worked its way beneath his fine body hair; the golden grains which had nestled into his curls, all fell in magnetic synchronicity with a gentle hiss to the towel. You rolled your eyes. “Come on.” you grumbled, yanking Nat behind you towards the ocean. Trying to keep your attention on the shoreline despite the hum of conversation behind, Natasha was wise enough not to ask questions. The larger group drew closer, the bottle of liquor in Scott’s hand glinting as he teetered on his feet. You stopped beside him, refusing his offer of the hooch. Steve and Sam stripped their t-shirts, throwing them on a growing pile of discarded clothing. “Is Laufeyson wearing lingerie?” Scott hissed loudly to Wilson. Sam scrunched his face, a theatrical grimace stretched across his features as he turned with an incredulous shake of his head. “It’s called style, Lang. I wouldn’t expect one so chronically under-endowed as you to appreciate that.” Loki drawled, making a show of drawing back the chiffon and placing his hands on his cut hips. “It is kind of excessive.” Banner chimed with a hint of jealousy. You watched every stare lower to the bulge in his tight swimwear on full display. Scott’s glazed eyes widened as he swayed gently, carefully lifting a finger to point directly at it.
“Now that, is excessive. Am I right, fellas?” he slurred, jovially elbowing an increasingly beleaguered looking Wilson in the chest.
Your eyes combed up Loki’s long legs, each hot slice of muscle flashing into view as he shifted his stance. His fingertips dug into the long lines of his hips, haughtily observing his would-be critics. Always needing a reaction, you sneered; coveting every inch of tantalisingly forbidden skin. You licked your lips, biting the bottom one as Loki’s abdominals clenched. The caftan fluttered in the breeze, grazing the backs of his knees as he stood silently, absorbing their reluctant admiration. How his thighs were so unnaturally carved you would never understand. Your own squeezed together, remembering the force of which the flat of his femur would slam against the back of your leg as he mounted you like a demon. The sound of skin slapping, rasping groans becoming louder as he found his release in you. As he found himself. Thor’s voice broke your daze, blinking as you realised that you too, had succumbed to the inconveniently hypnotic draw of Loki’s crotch. “Can we disperse with the talk of my brother’s various accoutrements and protrusions?” Thor muttered, pulling at his own shorts. “I have it on good authority that beneath those bathing pants he possesses nothing special.” Loki whipped round, the caftan swirling dramatically. “Careful brother. For one in such a tenuous position, I would not recommend you become judgemental on the manhoods of others.” he sneered, teeth bared. “Need I elaborate?” Thor swallowed, his cheeks paling as you bit your lip, trying not to laugh. “Alrighty.” Steve clapped his hands awkwardly, before ushering the stunned looking group closer to the sea. “Everybody in the water. Time to get wet, come now...let’s go. Time to cool off.” The splashes of half a dozen muscle-laden bodies sounded around you as you waded forward alone, welcoming the crisp coolness of the sea rising against your thighs. Thor ran past, knees high before diving head first into the surf. The resulting wave hit you in the chest, making you gasp. Flecks of salty water stuck to your lips, licked away thoughtlessly as the sea level grew deeper. You squatted, letting yourself begin to float, breathing deeply. “I hate to mention it…” You grimaced towards the horizon as Steve’s saccharine tone floated over your shoulder. “...but about that little snaffoo row-de-tow...I hope that I can still count on you to give it the ol’ college try with you-know-who.” “It’s complicated Steve.” you said through gritted teeth, kicking your feet forward and floating on your back. He looked down at you sceptically, his blonde hair blindingly bright in the direct sunlight. Like an angel, you thought. An innocent, irritating angel. “I’m no ninny." Steve scoffed with uncharacteristic bite. "I have my suspicions you and Laufeyson share more than just the occasional ride, if you know what I mean.” he hissed, scanning for eavesdroppers. His cheeks flushed. "The motorcycles, I meant the...listen- pull it together. There are lives at stake.” You snorted defiantly. “The only life at stake is Laufeyson’s if he doesn’t-” “-If he doesn’t what, Agent?”
You floundered, face submerged in water before you spluttered to the surface. The seabed grazed your toes as you found yourself upright again, wiping salt water from your eyes with the back of your hand. Steve looked between you with one brow arched, his steely glare leaving you under no doubt to his feelings on the matter. Loki descended deeper into the gently lapping waves, water parting around his muscled knees as he sashayed elegantly into the chill without a flinch. The caftan billowed around his hips, ballooning backwards in the breeze with a regal sway. He shrugged the fabric from his shoulders, a static of erotically charged electricity making it cling to his skin as you watched it inch slowly down. When the teasing fold of material fell past his biceps, he whipped it off in one well-placed swoop of his hand before the lower hem had a chance to touch water. “Take it offfff...wooo-ooo!” Scott yelled animatedly, before Wanda splashed him in the face. “S-spring b-break!” he choked between splutters, fists raised to the sky. You couldn’t take your eyes off Loki, your chin dipping to your chest as he drew closer. He threw the chiffon cover-up high into the air with a flourish, where it spread like a wild, black bird; fluttering in a spasm before vanishing into nothing. Scott ooo’ed. At least it didn’t burst into flames this time, you thought sourly, remembering your red dress he reduced to tatters with his teeth and hands. He must save that for other peoples clothes. Splashes of seawater dripped from Loki’s lower stomach over his hips, the veins of his forearms standing erect as he rolled his shoulders with a casual sigh. Trying to keep your face neutral was a mammoth task, as your eyes crawled down his solid chest to his swaggering hips in those tight little trunks. You needed fucked. Badly. But not by- You sucked in your cheeks, biting hard to stop the thought in its tracks as he drew closer. Water stilled around Loki's naval as he came to a stop, forming a triangle with you and a grim-faced Rogers. “I’m sure what my colleague was trying to ineloquently convey, was that we were simply jesting.” Loki hummed politely, dipping his hands in the water and running them past his temples. Dry tendrils hung temptingly over the ropes of muscle by his collarbone, the rogue smattering of moisture on his cheekbones making him glisten in the sun. The god cocked an eyebrow, tilting his chin down and casting a teasing glance up at a pink-faced Steve. “You needn’t be so serious all the time, Rogers.” Loki smirked at the boss while you clenched desperately beneath the merciful cover of nature. “Do you concur, Agent?” he purred, winking imperceptibly as Steve cleared his throat. You had to admit, under the circumstances, it was the lesser of two evils. “Right. Yeah, sorry Steve” you sighed reluctantly. “I was just being…-” “-Facetious.” Loki finished. “She enjoys goading me, Rogers. It really is rather annoying. But she makes up for it in other ways, don’t you Agent?” he said innocently. There was an expectant pause. Steve's eyes narrowed, as you suddenly wished a freak riptide would carry you far away from these idiots. Loki cleared his throat, stifling a laugh. “Being a good student during my lessons, talking me up to shareholders...the beautiful Amanda, for instance and so on.” He waved a hand limply as he talked, the casual condescension making your stomach clench.
Fuck, he’s so fucking hot when he’s a dickhead; you chided. Why? Why, God, why am I like this?
Steve’s eyes pin-balled between the two of you. He folded his arms, the heated flush of his reddening skin looking comical beside Loki’s uniform creamy perfection. “I don’t want a sniff of trouble out of you for the rest of the day.” he said haughtily, narrowing his gaze towards Loki. “And I have a job for the two of you, since you’re pals again.” Lines appeared in Loki’s forehead as he sank chest deep into the water, dipping his head back. He emerged seconds later like a fucking tease; his hair sodden in a raven slick. Swathes of water dripped over his shoulders, rolling down the crevices between landscaped abs. His biceps bulged as he raised his arms, raking the wet mass of hair back from his angular face. “A job, on our day off. How thoughtful.” he sneered. Steve rolled his eyes, tutting. “We need more water from the snack-hut. It’s closed today but Tony had a copy of the keys. It’s about half a mile up the beach.” he said cheerfully. Sensing your reluctance, Rogers eyes grew bright with wholesome excitement. “And hey, y'all could even grab an ice cream for the walk back.” “Do you hear that, Agent?” Loki drawled sarcastically, mimicking Steve’s enthusiasm. “Ice-cream.” Steve flicked his hand, a set of keys landing in your palm which shot up from the water. He turned silently, beginning to wade over to the main group currently occupied with stopping Lang snorkelling with a straw up one nostril. You watched him depart with a fluttering in your stomach, feeling gentle ripples splash further up your waist as Loki approached like a panther stalking wounded prey. Like you knew he would. His hands slid around your hips beneath the water, pulling you gently back with an inaudible thump against his crotch. You could feel the heat of his breath against your wet hair, fat droplets of salt water dripping from his forehead to your cheek as he hovered. “Tell me to stop, Agent...” he murmured warily, fingertips tightening around your hipbones. There was something new in his voice. Thick, and hypnotic. Sweet, almost. Sincerity? You shook the thought away. Your eyes fluttered closed, marinating in the feeling of his solid chest pressed against your back. The moist sheen of your bodies sticking together reminded you of ill-advised, sweaty, animalistic, magnificent sex. And him. God, how you craved him. If he wasn't such a- Loki’s fingertips toyed with the waistband of your bottoms, grazing inside just enough to scratch the edges of your pubic hair. He moaned softly as your ass circled against his hips, firm biceps tensing around your shoulders like a venus flytrap as his deep baritone trembled. You could feel the delicate skin of his lips millimetres from your cheek, testing the precipice of your resistance. “Let’s get this over with.” you sighed defiantly, brushing his hands away. You raised a finger, jingling the keys to make your point. “Everyone’s thirsty.” A smile tugged at Loki's lips as he watched you rise from the water towards the shore, the curve of your ass making his neglected cock twitch within the tight swim shorts. “Some more than others, I suspect.” he said quietly, tilting his head.

GET OUR SH*T TOGETHER IN 2024
If you are someone like me and you have been slacking in the self department in 2023 join me and we can do it together! <3
I have been drafting up for the last couple of days some tips and tricks that I feel will help me and hopefully you too :)
Firstly I want to say that glowing up or trying to work for the better version of you can be manageable, by starting small and building the certain habits that you feel will suit you, at first it doesn't even have to cost money or a lot of your time, however it does require a lot of discipline and patience with yourself.
Journaling
How does Journaling help?
Journaling helps you understand your emotional reactions more clearly, and puts you in control of your emotions instead of the other way around.
Meaning that through this you will be able to figure out the things you might feel might be harder for you at the beginning, its important not to rush this progress.
2. Routine
I know everybody often talks about this topic, and often times no one talks about how hard the adjusting period actually is, it is hard to change everything or even a small significant thing around you especially when you've been getting used to not having such an active life or perhaps some of us feel additionally on top of our other lifestyle arrangements to add ourselves on top is too much which takes me to my next point which is time blocking.
3. Time Blocking
Time blocking is the process of breaking your schedule down into individual blocks of time  it can be a great way to increase focus and productivity. I usually do this in 3 steps
Choose in advance what to work on. (I usually do it 2 nights or the night before)
Decide when to tackle priority tasks, this can be done in whichever interval you would like, I usually do it hourly.
Block off a chunk of time on your calendar for each task.
Now that we have the 3 basics down, we can create the routine we want to and implement the goals we wish to achieve:
BODY
In 2024 I certainly and Im sure alot of us have certain gym goals that we would like to achieve, this in turn working out has great benefit not only to your body but also your mental health over time. Even 30 minutes a day will make a big impact especially at the beginning if you are someone like me who hates the gym at the beginning but feel great afterwards, try to start small, a small walk, a small 10 minute YouTube video work out and slowly add more time as more weeks go by.
SKINCARE
One of my biggest goal is definitely towards my skin.
Its important to get out of the habit of not washing or being gentle with your skin, whatever you do one thing i will always say to prioritise is moisturising, MOISTURISE, MOISTURISE!
Tumblr media
I have had acne and bad skin since I was a teenager no matter what I've put on my face from retinoids, to all these different creams and acids one thing I will ALWAYS say makes all the difference now and even long term is keeping your skin hydrated and wearing sunscreen, you can even get a 2 in 1 moisturiser and sun cream.
CLOTHES
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Basics will be the way to go, if you're looking to investing into a new wardrobe in 2024 one thing my mother and over time i have learned that basics will never run out of fashion its the accessories that you'll need to put an extra time and eye on, a bag, jewellery, coats, sunglasses, focus on certain things that will bring out a staple to your outfit.
BONUS
I am of course adding manifestation and the songs, reprograming your thinking into this as a bonus, this is for the ones that want to either practice this or already do BUT I feel that making your affirmation playlist/ song will work better at time rather than the ones on youtube, don't get me wrong subliminal on YT they do work but if you were to make it yourself it has that extra pull. I made my own about a month ago and it has been working great for me.
Additionally I would also like to mention the importance of paying more attention to the songs and the words you listen to, the things you watch on social media, not everything has to be consumed, either a social media cleanse or trying to change your algorithm I feel is a key when it comes to wanting to grow within one self.
GRATITUDE
When you journal, try to leave a section at the end of the day for the things you feel grateful, i promise, try it for a week, it'll change your life.
Andddd that's it for now! If anyone else has any tips and tricks please drop them in the comments! Lets help each other by also reposting this <333

Clothing & Wearing Magic – Part 1
Something common within the witch community is to read the advice to enchant necklaces and rings for various purposes, and although it is also common to read about putting sigils hidden in clothes or the soles of shoes, there is much more cloth to cut regarding the subject. So I will classify it in several parts. Remember that it is only indicative, examples may be missing and there are a thousand enchantments that could be better, but it is only to give an idea.
Part 1: Location.
Different parts of the body have different biological functions, and while a charm on the hand or foot (for luck, for example) can have similar results, checking “where” it is implemented is important to maximize its potential when resort to correspondence. When several things correspond to the same end, they are potentiated, add their skills, which gives more lasting, strong and effective results. That is why I have divided the location based on the different parts of the body.
Tumblr media
Headgear: Hats, earings, glasses, sunglasses, scarves, headphones, masks, etc. These elements tend to be linked to primary sensory characteristics and intelligence, it can be said that the head is dominated by the Air element, so what reigns here are the abilities to see/hear/smell/speak, eloquence, ability to talk, how the brain works in social mode. So any enchantment intended to enhance (or nullify) these abilities will benefit if applied to a head outfit, as well as strengthen Clairsentience. It also includes your own hair, hairstyle and hair color, which makes it more versatile.
Hats, beanies, veils, tiaras, headbands, hair clips, etc: By covering the head they function more as protectors, a natural barrier to energy. Since the top usually has the most "pure" energy, people who are sensitive to energy changes (or energy vampires) may benefit from enchanting hats. It can also serve to strengthen Claircognizance. Above all, it can help with charms dedicated to the brain, social anxiety, mental illness, etc. (pls mundane before magic okay baby? Love you).
Earings, ear piercings, headphones, hearing aid, cochlear implant: Ear charms. Hear truths, ignore lies, ignore gossip, hear dangers. It can benefit to strengthen Clairaudience.
Eyeglasses, sunglasses, eyebrow piercing, contact lenses, prosthetic eyes: Eye Charms. See the truth, not be affected by glam spells, barriers to spells and energies, focus, strengthen Clairvoyance.
Masks, scarves, mouth/tongue/nose piercing, brackets, necklaces, tracheostomy tube: It can help to verbalize our ideas, control stuttering, anxiety to speak, to say what should be said, in addition to strengthening Clairalience and Clairgustance.
Tumblr media
Hand elements: Bracelets, watch, rings, nail color/design, wristbands, gloves. The hands are givers and takers of energy, you literally manipulate energy all day long, so the spells here can focus on that manipulation. They are the most common to enchant for their versatility and ease of exchange.
Tumblr media
Torso Elements: The torso carries the center of our energy (and organs), so it is usually the area that requires the least protection (spiritually speaking, it is dominated by the four elements, but mainly Earth and Fire), since it carries accumulated energy, which is difficult to affect. The organs, the amount of "life" (biological activity, electricity, blood), accumulations of bones and organic material (organs, food, fluids), make it the defensive point of the body. Even so, it can be benefited by spells depending on the clothes.
Underwear/ binders/ necklaces/ medical equipment such as CPAP, colostomy bag, etc: They are linked to what is closest to the body, therefore, they can be enchanted for everything linked to internal desires, fears and, for medical equipment, to improve health (enchanting equipment can also help them work better, last longer in optimal condition, reduce symptoms and so on, but remember, be careful, pls).
Outerwear such as hoodies, jackets, poncho, coats or whatever you are wearing as a top layer: Being in direct contact with the outside world, you can benefit from enchanting it with protection, or spells for bravery, courage, strength.
Tumblr media
Leg Elements: Pants, belts, canes, walkers, wheelchair, skirts, orthopedic legs. Ruled mainly by the Earth element, it can help to strengthen mobility, agility, speed, dexterity spells, not to move from your place, to remain firm.
Tumblr media
Foot Elements: Shoes, slippers, orthopedic shoes, ankle bracelet. As with the legs, the feet focus on mobility, but they are also the ones that transport you through different energy spaces, they are the ones that can most easily receive the influence of the energy of the place, so it can be beneficial to add enchantments of protection. Socks are usually responsible for collecting odors, and due to their "nature" of being easily replaceable, it is not wrong to think that enchanting them can also help absorb bad energy, which will go down the drain when washed.
Part 2: Materials.
Part 3: Designs and Colors.

I’m so tempted to go to the last show but I already went to Saturday’s show and my mom will most likely not let me go because she’ll say that I already went. Might fuck around and ask my dad to get us tickets because I need to see this last show….
I am really sorry to trauma dump on your ask specifically, and this doesn't really seem like it's your situation. But. I've been wanting to tell you guys this happened last month. I didn't really know how because it was so extreme, even for me usually. But I get a lot of kids venting to me about their parents in my inbox. Just in general, but especially a bunch lately regarding Fall Out Boy concert ticket drama. So I guess this is a cautionary tale and advice for any kid following me with emotionally abusive parents who is having a hard time getting to whatever show on this tour, because I think there's got to be at least ten of you following me
Backstory, I'm 24 and got my first "real" job in February. It's like. An actual job that pays well and has health insurance and time off and benefits and stuff. I never thought this was achievable for me. This came very out of nowhere and was a huge shock to everyone.
My parents definitely did not think I was ever capable of doing this. I think they're kind of in a "denial" phase. They had me 100% convinced I was never going to be able to hold a job and I was always going to be dependent on them or homeless or something, IDK. Anyway, I’ve been there for almost 6 months, so I was taking my first vacation-- like my first-ever actual one with PTO-- to visit my friend and see Fall Out Boy.
My parents had offered to let me borrow the car to do this. They had been telling me everything was fine for months leading up to it. Stuff had been going fine between us for awhile. I delivered my mom’s favorite flowers for mother's day because I was on a business trip. Like a week before this I went out for a "really important" dinner with my dad and his boss and his boss' daughter as a "huge favor."
I also needed to be home that week anyway because I had to see my psychiatrist, and also it was my best friend from high school's 21st birthday. And my parents have 2 cars, my dad works from home and my mom works at a school a 5 minute walk from our house and it was July. So it made no logistical sense for me to get a rental. But if they hadn't offered or been okay with me taking the car, I would have said "Ok, no problem."
Anyway, as soon as I got off the Metra, I knew something was weird. They made me drive and my mom was screaming and gasping and saying I was driving "crazy" and "too fast" when I was going 20 below the speed limit. Also that my sunglasses "weren't safe" for driving. But instead of taking them off, I had to wear hers. She did this when I was a kid and I got anything nice like a sleepover or a Girl Scouts trip or something. She was trying to pick a fight that she could progressively escalate, and then tell me I couldn't go because of something I did or said. And sure enough, when I tried saying no to one of her weird power plays, she started saying I had to do it or I wouldn't see Fall Out Boy.
Except I'm not a kid anymore so this was meaningless. Once we got home I tried to disappear but my dad wanted us to "talk it out." It kept escalating because my mom was fake crying and saying she didn't know anything about the concert until the night before and wasn't okay with me taking the car. Which was all a lie. I started to get pretty agitated, because it was gaslighting in a non-post-ironic sense, and she started filming me. This was something she did a lot when I was younger.
I had been trying my best to ignore her. At this point though, I felt this was going to go on for however many hours it took for there to be some kind of insane drama, and my dad was going to enable it.
Again if they hadn't wanted me to take the car, that would've been fine. But by offering to let me take the car and then pulling this, they tricked me into a situation where getting to Fall Out Boy was either going to be a very prolonged and horrible emotional nightmare, or a a very expensive logistical nightmare. It was also about trying to punish me for going and make my special first vacation-slash-Fall-Out-Boy-Extravaganza as miserable and stressful as possible, I think, which definitely worked.
So anyway, she starts filming me saying I'm being hysterical and out of control. I was pretty upset but I was just sitting at the table and kind of crying.
I was holding a glass of water, so I stood up and threw the water at her. At this point I think everything went off the deep end. I don't want to get into all of it, but there was a lot of screaming. Other highlights included my dad grabbing a knife laying on the counter (lol) and me shattering the actual glass. Then things started getting very physical so I kicked my dad in the balls as hard as I could. After that my mom started trying to call the cops so she could try to get them to take me to the psych ward in a cop car again but I said some stuff that scared her into stopping.
So for anyone following me who's younger and has parents with like mental issues or is in an abusive household. There is nothing you can do to prove to your parents they should "let" you go. There is no magic age where you will be "old enough" to leave the house or do things. There is no GPA you can achieve or degree or even job you can get that will make your parents okay with you going places and doing things. There is nothing you can do to earn it. It is never going to happen.
You just need to get out as soon as you can and minimize contact. Better yet, find a way to go to concerts anyway. I had money and access to a car but I was afraid of drama and thought if I just tried hard enough someday they'd let me go. They were never going to. Just go to the concert anyway and ignore whatever drama happens and know it will be over eventually. The fact that you went will matter way more in three years.
My honest advice to any teenage girl whose parents won't let them go to a concert is this: Literally any slightly older boy will take you to a concert if you buy him a ticket. Do not mention anything about your parents not knowing because they will get paranoid. Be safe, only do this with people you know and trust, do not have sex with anyone, and use your best judgement about the kind of people you hang out with. But this is your best bet. Sneak out if you have to.
But as an example, my friend worked at Jimmy John's in high school and college. All her coworkers were guys and some of them were college aged. We'd go to their Dungeons and Dragons sessions. Literally any one of them would've gladly taken a free ticket to see Fall Out Boy, and none of them would've done anything weird. I could've just told my parents I was sleeping over at her house and not said anything. She could've gone too and then I could've actually spent the night at her house. It would've all been fine. I was just too scared of my parents to do anything like that. If it's on a weeknight just sneak out and deal with it or say you're working and don't come home. Make sure you go to school the next day though.
Also I had money and worked a lot but my parents were really obsessive about my bank account. If you're in a situation like that, just ask your job to start giving you checks, open an account at another bank, and start cashing only some of them there. It's hard and scary and a lot of responsibility, but it's easier than you think, and it's worth it. The people at the bank will help you, just don't mention your parents because they'll get paranoid. (The earlier you start doing this the better--I'm 24 and dealing with the bank drama now and it's way worse than if I had thought about this 8 years ago). You deserve to do things like this and you should not feel guilty about it
Just your gut. Do not sleep over or get drunk/high with a guy unless it's someone you really know and trust. If you're going anywhere with someone just actually be friends with them first. Also do not do this with guys that are too much older either, because they're definitely going to be weird. But if you're 17 and give a 19 year old friend-of-a-friend a free ticket to Fall Out Boy, they'll gladly drive you. If you're in college, just be smart, and be safer than you think you need to be. But this advice applies to a lot of like 18-20 year olds too. Good luck haha

Benefits of wearing Sunscreen
Wearing sunscreen provides a multitude of benefits for your skin and overall well-being. Here are some significant advantages:
Guarding Against Harmful UV Rays: Sunscreen acts as a protective shield, effectively blocking harmful ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sun. It ensures defense against both UVA and UVB rays, known for causing skin damage, sunburns, premature aging, and an elevated risk of skin cancer.
Preventing Painful Sunburns: Sunburns can be both distressing and detrimental to the skin. Sunscreen plays a crucial role in preventing sunburns by absorbing and reflecting the sun's UV rays, thereby minimizing the skin's exposure to them.
Lowering the Risk of Skin Cancer: Prolonged exposure to UV radiation escalates the likelihood of developing skin cancer, including melanoma, basal cell carcinoma, and squamous cell carcinoma. By consistently using sunscreen, you can significantly diminish this risk.
Slowing Down Premature Aging: UV rays are culprits of premature aging, manifesting as wrinkles, fine lines, and age spots. Shielding your skin from these harmful rays with sunscreen aids in maintaining a youthful appearance and overall skin health.
Promoting a Balanced Skin Tone: Sunscreen helps in averting uneven skin tone and hyperpigmentation triggered by sun exposure. It actively reduces the appearance of dark spots and blemishes, contributing to a more even complexion.
Shielding Sensitive Skin: Individuals with sensitive skin benefit from sunscreen due to its protective layer, which minimizes irritation and redness caused by sun exposure.
Mitigating Photosensitivity Reactions: Certain medications and skin conditions heighten the skin's sensitivity to sunlight, resulting in photosensitivity reactions. Sunscreen plays a pivotal role in alleviating these effects, enabling individuals to enjoy outdoor activities without adverse responses.
Supporting Overall Skin Health: By acting as a barrier against harmful UV rays, sunscreen fosters the well-being of your skin and helps maintain its natural functions, such as temperature regulation and protection against infections.
Guarding Against Sun-Induced Eye Damage: Applying sunscreen near the eyes or using sunscreen-infused sunglasses offers vital protection against conditions like cataracts and other sun-induced eye issues.
Alleviating Sun Allergy Risks: For individuals prone to sun allergies or polymorphic light eruption (PMLE), sunscreen provides substantial relief by minimizing the skin's exposure to UV rays that trigger these reactions.
Remember always to apply sunscreen properly and regularly, opting for a suitable SPF level for your skin type, and reapply it every few hours or after swimming or sweating. Complement sunscreen use with other sun-protective measures, such as seeking shade during peak sun hours and donning protective clothing and hats when outdoors.
Here's a list of sunscreens I loveeee:
Neutrogena Invisible Daily Defense Face Sunscreen + Hydrating Serum SPF 60+
EltaMD UV Daily Face Sunscreen with Zinc Oxide, SPF 40 Facial Sunscreen
Sun Bum Original SPF 50 Sunscreen Lotion
Sun Bum Original SPF 50 Sunscreen Spray

hello there
wow.
so.. its been awhile, hasn't it? like a long.. long time. sure, a couple posts but my last actual post was december 21, 2021.. crazy!
have I written anything since then? no, not really. re-read some of my work, thought "man this shit is so fuckin good" ..but I just honestly wasn't well enough to sit here and write. as much as I missed it.
what's new?.. a mess and depressed! but working through it. if you read my person posts in the pass, I worked at an optical store for a big big brand (not naming names) that felt like my soul was getting sucked out of me.. retail, amiright?
but seriously. I was there for 4 years by July of this year. in October, the manager I had been with since getting hired was moved to a store closer to her (congrats bestie) which opened up the management role for the one I was in.
I interviewed!! ...I didn't get it!!
devastated. like everything I had ever done was for fucking nothing. all the times I covered, where I took charge when the manager was out, the shitty position of just being under the threshold of FT so I never got the FT benefits (pto.. I was a feign for wanting time off). I interviewed, never got a definitive answer from the dm, until the news was laid on us that someone was hired.
someone who had less than a years experience, from a sister brand that sold non-rx sunglasses. A MAN. nothing wrong with me, I love men, but it was a gut punch. I had to continue being in charge for 2-3 months while this guy got trained for the position I felt I was deserving of.
and when he started it was absolute shit. I have never met someone so fuckin lazy. he refused to close, refused to work most weekends, never helped clean or help keep things organized, left me to handle signage changes and other things, stating stupid shit like "I didn't sign up for that" when like.. yes you did? that's literally the whole point of being a manager? the last week of the year is extremely busy in the optical space, because people want to use their benefits before the end of the year (use it or lose it). december 31, 2022.. what did he do? he left me and my coworker alone so he could go home early. we did ten thousand dollars in sales that day. that is what the store would average a week. we did it in a day.
my depression got worse.. but I did get my associates in psychology (cute). it wasn't until February of this year that I finally got a break. ya girl got a new job, in an office, not having to sell anything! perfection.
I moved out of my parents (it's def a struggle but.. my cat and I are happy), I officially was diagnosed with a chronic disease this year, working on my mental health everyday, did my first semester of uni..

Take a Hike! A Hiking Checklist to Help You Get on Track
BY DALE HARRIS
Exercise is one of the best things that you can do for your health. Not only will it improve your fitness but it’ll also reduce your risk of various diseases.
As a general rule, you want to aim for at least 150 minutes of moderate aerobic activity per day. For example, you can go for a jog or a swim a few times every week.
Hiking is another option. If anything, it’s a great way to build up your endurance.
Thinking of getting into it? Looking for a hiking checklist? If so, you’re on the right page. Keep reading to learn more!
Benefits of Hiking
Hiking is a great cardio workout. It doesn’t matter what trail you go on either; the benefits will be the same.
For one thing, it can help lower your blood pressure and cholesterol levels. In doing so, you’ll be at a lower risk of heart disease.
In addition to that, hiking also contributes to healthy muscles, bones, and joints. In other words, you won’t be as likely to develop arthritis.
Preparing For Your Hike
Start off by researching the trail. Find out the length, elevation, and difficulty rating. The last thing that you want is to underestimate the area!
It’s also a good idea to read up on local regulations. For example, some areas might require a park pass or a permit.
And while you’re at it, make sure to check the trail conditions. There’s nothing worse than being stopped by snow when you’re halfway up a mountain. Not only will that make the hike more difficult, but it can increase your risk of getting lost.
Finally, you want to dress for the conditions. As a general rule, you want to opt for moisture-wicking clothes (e.g. those made of polyester or nylon).
That way, even if you get wet, your clothes will dry quickly. And here’s another tip—dress in layers. That will allow you to add or remove clothing if the temperature changes.
Don’t forget about your feet as well. After all, you’ll be relying on them for the hike! Make sure to wear trail runners or hiking boots that provide proper grip.
A Hiking Checklist: 9 Things That You Should Bring With You
There are a few essential items that you should bring with you to every hike. Here’s what you need to know.
1. Navigation Tools
It’s easy to get lost when you’re out in the wilderness. Given that, it’s crucial that you bring proper navigation tools with you such as a map and compass.
If you want, you can even bring a GPS device. Not only will it tell you where you are, but it’ll also keep track of things like average speed and elevation change.
2. Sun Protection
Sun protection is important when you’re spending time outdoors. It doesn’t matter if it’s cloudy, you’ll still need it.
Aside from sunscreen, you also want to bring SPF lip balm, sunglasses, and a large-brimmed hat. Protective clothing should also be considered, especially for long hikes.
3. Illumination
Bring a flashlight or headlamp with you to the trails. After all, you never know what might happen; one wrong turn and you can easily get lost in the dark.
Tip: You can always use your phone as a flashlight but keep in mind that it can drain your battery quickly.
4. Hydration
It’s important to stay hydrated when you’re hiking. Given that, you want to make sure to bring enough water with you.
As a general guideline, you want to bring one gallon per person (for 24 hours). Make sure that it’s easily accessible via a water bottle.
5. Snacks
Pack some dry foods and snacks. For example, you can bring dried fruits, jerky, and nuts. Or if you want something more filling, you can make sandwiches or even tortillas.
That way, you’ll be able to sustain your energy for a full day of activity.
6. Emergency Shelter
It’s highly recommended that you bring a small, lightweight emergency shelter with you if you’re going on a day hike. You might not need it but if you do, you’ll have it.
If anything, it can potentially save your life.
7. Daypack
A comfortable daypack is essential for carrying all of your gear. Make sure that it’s well-fitting and large enough so that you can pack everything in.
If you can, try to get something with convenient storage compartments.
8. First Aid Kit
You always want to bring a first aid kit when you’re traveling into the backcountry. After all, anything can happen and you want to be prepared.
Depending on your needs, you can either put one together yourself or buy a pre-packaged kit.
9. Fire Starters
Being able to start a fire could be the difference between life and death in an emergency. Not only will the fire keep you warm, but the smoke can help searchers find you.
Remember, things don’t burn well when they’re wet. So make sure to bring the proper fire starters with you.
Gathering Your Hiking Essentials
And there you have it—a hiking checklist for your weekend trip! If anything, it’s always better to be overprepared than underprepared.

Leaving, Door is Shut
How'd it steal into my bones, the longing for something without touch, to see it but be powerless to do much at all except vomit, bow and gather these hands in small gestures of regret. What benefits the earth when we make little river boats out of coal, out of missed chances, each eye looking at the other through a window, splattered in flood or forget-me-nots, the grey echo of memory flickering against my medium sized made-in-China sunglasses. Tonight is just to be clean. To take no prisoners from myself and thrust them into the fire. When dogs bark the cops come to arrest someone. Fine to make your synergy out of paint chips and dust. Hold the screen door closer to your face, that way it'll see you when you see it. The body grows older and softer from the brush strokes of the sun and dying leaves that keep collecting in the carport. Some swirl of brown and orange brittle that smells like pine and septic. Much like the rest does. Much like my hand when I am done searching through the mud for my coat or any shred of dignity. A cross, a magnifying glass, some artifact from a life never lived. Have you held on despite the wave? This temperature makes even cold bones boil into a feed of vitriol and self denigration. The mental health crises are really just a normal response to butterfly wings closing. When you add this to your repertoire, don't forget to mention my name. I can't decide which crime is worse: the doer or the complicit. Flocks of crows run down by the country road looking for their love, too.

5 Skin Care Resolutions to Make in 2023: Prioritizing Your Skin's Health and Beauty
Tumblr media
As we enter the new year, it's the perfect time to set skin care goals and make a commitment to taking better care of our skin. In this article, we'll be discussing five skin care resolutions to consider making in 2023.
Resolution #1: Incorporate more natural and organic ingredients into your skincare routine.
Tumblr media
Natural and organic skincare products are gentler on the skin and less likely to cause irritation or other negative reactions. They are also more sustainable and environmentally friendly. Some examples of natural and organic ingredients to look for include aloe vera, honey, coconut oil, avocado oil, chamomile and lavender.
Resolution #2: Properly cleanse and moisturize your skin.
Tumblr media
Cleansing and moisturizing are two essential steps in any skincare routine. Proper cleansing helps to remove dirt, oil, and other impurities from the skin, while moisturizing helps to keep the skin hydrated and nourished.
After cleansing, be sure to moisturize your skin to help keep it hydrated and nourished. A good moisturizer should be able to lock in moisture and create a protective barrier on the skin to prevent water loss.
Resolution #3: Protect your skin from the sun.
Tumblr media
The sun's harmful UV rays can cause damage to the skin, leading to premature aging and skin cancer. When applying sunscreen, be sure to use enough to cover your skin adequately and reapply every two hours. Protect your skin by seeking shade, wearing protective clothing and wearing a hat or sunglasses when the sun is strongest.
Resolution #4: Incorporate self-care practices into your skincare routine.
Tumblr media
Incorporating self-care practices into your skincare routine has numerous benefits for both your skin and overall well-being. Stress can have a negative impact on the health of your skin, causing a variety of skin problems such as acne, eczema, and rosacea. By practicing self-care and managing stress, you can improve the health and appearance of your skin and promote your overall well-being.
Resolution #5: Choose certified organic and natural skincare products.
Tumblr media
When shopping for natural and organic skincare products, be sure to read labels carefully and do your research. Look for products that are certified organic by a reputable organization and avoid those that contain questionable ingredients.
By incorporating these skincare resolutions into your routine, you can achieve healthy, radiant skin in 2023. From switching to natural and organic ingredients to protecting your skin from the sun and practicing self-care, these resolutions will help you prioritize your skincare and take control of your skin's health. Remember, it's never too late to start taking care of your skin, and small changes can make a big difference in the long run. Here's to a happy and healthy 2023!

Don't underestimate people
Tumblr media
Pepsi's Harrier Jet advertisement from 1995 is a classic example of a controversial advertisement that garnered a lot of media attention.
a. The advertisement mainly talks about a new system point, wherein if you purchase their product, you'll receive a point. Then you can redeem it in their store for items such as a Pepsi tee, leather jacket, and sunglasses. However, the commercial portrays them exaggeratedly. It is because it features a young man redeeming a Pepsi "harrier jet" in a Pepsi points promotion.
This commercial is intended for soft drink consumers and gives them a reason to buy a Pepsi instead of different brands of soft drinks. Moreover, this is a marketing strategy to rival their competitors in the beverage market.
The product being advertised, Pepsi, is not inherently good or bad. It is just an advertisement campaign so that people will leniently buy their product as it has more benefits. It is up to the individual to decide whether or not they want to consume the product and in what quantity. It is a sugary drink, however, that if consumed excessively can lead to health problems.
This advertisement uses exaggerated claims that are presented as if they were true as a form of media manipulation. In the advertisement, the man is shown flying a "harrier jet" that he redeemed through a Pepsi points promotion. However, the advertisement does not make it clear that the jet being shown is just a exagerration and they were no disclaimer to the viewers. By leading the viewer to believe that a real harrier jet can be redeemed through the promotion, the advertisement could be viewed as deception and manipulation.
Pepsi's Harrier Jet advertisement generated a lot of controversy and media attention, which may have boosted its virality and notoriety. Some people found the advertisement to be humorous and entertaining, while others found it to be tasteless and misleading. A lawsuit alleging that he had spent over $700,000 trying to redeem the "harrier jet" before realizing it was not a real jet ultimately led to the removal of the advertisement. Overall, the advertisement was successful in capturing viewers' attention, but it also caused controversy and negative publicity for Pepsi. Reference: Hogg, R. (n.d.). Pepsi once offered a fighter jet as a joke prize in a promotion. A student tried to claim it anyway. Business Insider. https://www.businessinsider.com/pepsi-offered-fighter-jet-joke-prize-student-tried-claim-it-2022-11 nonfps. (2007). ZUMBA
Zumba is a popular fitness program that combines dance and aerobics, resulting in a fun and effective workout. This high-energy exercise routine can provide numerous benefits for your health and overall well-being.
One of the most significant benefits of Zumba is its ability to help you burn calories and lose weight. The fast-paced movements and music can make it feel like you're dancing instead of working out, which can help you stick to a regular exercise routine. Depending on your body weight, intensity level, and other factors, you can expect to burn anywhere from 500 to 1000 calories during a one-hour Zumba class.
In addition to burning calories and promoting weight loss, Zumba can also improve your cardiovascular health. The dance-based workout gets your heart pumping, which can strengthen your heart and improve blood flow throughout your body. Regular Zumba workouts can help lower your blood pressure and reduce your risk of heart disease.
Zumba is also a great way to relieve stress and improve your mood.
Furthermore, Zumba is a low-impact exercise, which means that it can be suitable for people of all ages and fitness levels. Unlike some other high-impact exercises like running, Zumba is easy on your joints, making it an excellent choice for people with joint pain or injuries.

Vampire lore
Figured I should make this for everyone’s ease. My lore is a modified version of the lore from Razor Bladed Smile.
Lore
Eyes: Brown Irises with a faint red ring that almost glows under moonlight
Fangs: Four sets of fangs, 8 in total 4 on top 4 on bottom
Turning others: He would need to feed on them first and then get them to drink his blood in turn
In the very early days, Eddie didn’t have all of his memories, they are coming back to him in time so this will change depending on how long he’s been a vampire in each verse.
Eddie can feed without killing and prefers that, he will sneak to a motel just outside of town to feed from people there, usually when they’re passed out from alcohol or drugs. He feels guilty feeding from them without permission and depending how much is in their system it can get him drunk or high, though the effects don’t last long as he sobers up quickly.
He has a lot of strength and before finding his way out of the Upside Down he fed on the creatures there, taring them apart with his fangs and hands in a very violent manner.
He can take the form of a small bat as well as grow large black wings in his human form, though this can be uncomfortable and in the early days quite painful for him.
The reason it’s believed that garlic wards off vampires is not because it actually does anything, but rather that a vampire’s senses are very sensitive, so the strong aroma of garlic can be overwhelming, it actually benefits vampires for humans to believe it harms them as it’s good for blood production.
He can go in the sun. Again like the garlic issue, his eyes are very sensitive so he tends to wear sunglasses and avoid bright lights when possible. HOWEVER! This does not mean the sun doesn't harm him. When freshly fed, the sun feels like gentle rain on exposed skin, but if he continues to remain in the sun it begins to tingle and burn, eventually it will kill him if he doesn’t feed. Think of it as a health bar, the sun reduces it and the blood acts as a ‘health potion’ filling it back up and keeping him safe. His ‘health bar’ goes down all the time which is why he needs to feed, but the sun speeds that process up. The sun can also cause physical burns on his skin which will take a few feedings to heal.
None-immortal verse addition
Everything is the same as above, this just gets added on top of that.
In his none-immortal verse, Eddie ages like a regular human and if he hasn’t had his genital surgeries then he is capable of getting pregnant and giving birth. In his none-immortal verse he has an urge to find a mate, an instinctive need he gained from becoming a vampire to continue his blood line.

Top Tips And Advice To Take Good Care Of Your Eyes
Dr Prashant Jindal Expert tips provider. We have hands to feel, a nose to smell, ears to hear, but our eyes are one of our most important parts. Without vision, life becomes dark and difficult. That means eye care should be on the top of your priority list, so check out all the great expert advice below.
If your eyes are irritated by pollen or feel dry, use an eyewash. The eyewash can rinse your eyes of the impurities and make them feel more refreshed. Follow instructions on the package carefully. After the eyewash, your eyes should feel much better. Use the product a couple of times a day or as directed.
The best advice in eye care is to have regular eye exams. Especially if you've reached the age of 40, your eyes need more attention than ever before. Various diseases and conditions, such as diabetes, can have a very negative impact on vision. Regular examinations will ensure eye health is protected.
When selecting an eye care professional, do not skimp when it comes to doing your homework on each prospective doctor's qualifications. Check their educational background, certifications and licensure to ensure that everything is as represented. Doing these things will help you feel confident when it comes to entrusting the health of your eyes to someone new.
Are you a smoker? If so, stop. Smoking increases the chance that you will have problems with your eyes, like cataracts and macular degeneration. It can be hard to quit, but never stop trying. Even if you've failed in the past, you still have a good chance of being able to quit in the future.
Omega-3 has been proven to benefit eye health. It would be smart to add these acids to your diet. Tuna, halibut, salmon and leafy, green vegetables are great dietary choices. Eat a minimum of a serving daily.
A good tip to help give your eyes the protection they deserve is to wear sunglasses. You should even wear them on cloudy days. Always look for sunglasses that offer UV protection. They might cost a little more, but it is worth it when considering that your eye health is at stake.
Get your eyes checked regularly. Although you should see a doctor immediately if you have eye problems, some conditions may not develop symptoms immediately or ever. This is why regular checkups are important. A lot of these issues can be treated early on.
Sunglasses are important! Your eyes can stay protected if you wear the right sunglasses. Overexposure to UV rays can cause cataracts or macular degeneration. For optimal protection, use sunglasses that fully back out harmful rays. Wraparound shades will keep your peripheral vision protected too.
Be sure to not only get your vision checked every year, but have a comprehensive exam. This often includes other tests which peer inside the eye to check for conditions such as glaucoma or even diabetes. The sooner you catch these issues, the easier it will be to treat them.
In order to minimize eye stress, take breaks when you have to spend long periods of time working in front of a computer. Even taking a two-minute break every half hour makes a huge difference when it comes to the toll that the work takes on your eyes, and you will be more productive.
Your eyes can become dry more often as you age. Having a diet that is rich in omege-3 fatty acids will prove to be beneficial. Also, avoid extreme temperatures. Keep your car vents pointed in the other direction from your eyes, and do not position yourself near fans or vents at work.
Try not to touch your eyes. It may seem hard to do, but your hands carry many germs and irritants that can get into your eyes and cause issues. You should also never scratch your eyes. If you must touch or rub your eyes, make sure your hands are clean and that you handle them gently.
Dr Prashant Jindal Professional tips provider.See your eye doctor regularly. Appointments with your eye doctor shouldn't only occur if you have a problem. Routine eye care can help ensure that your eyes are always in the best of health. In addition, if a problem does arise, it will be spotted sooner so you can start treatment immediately.
Stay active. You may not associate exercise with eye health, but the truth is, it increases circulation. That means there is often less pressure in the eyes. Plus, if you are in tune with your body, you will often know when something does not feel right. Get yourself checked out if you have any concerns.
If you look at the same thing, computer screen, television, book, etc, for too long, change your scenery. Walking around gives your eyes a break and also helps you get up and moving, improving your circulation. This helps more blood flow to the eyes and lessens any strain they might be going through.
Eat plenty of greens. When it comes to eye health, carrots are often touted as the vegetable of choice. While it is true that carrots are high in Vitamin A, they are not the only vegetable that can help with vision. Studies show that lutein and zeaxanthin, found in dark leafy greens such as spinach can help improve vision even more.
If you want to maintain your eyes healthy and you are a smoker, quit smoking. Smokers are more prone to getting optic nerve damage, macular degeneration and cataracts. If you have attempted to quit smoking before and have failed, keep trying. If you need extra motivation, think about the damage smoking can do to your eyes.
Your contact lenses should be treated with proper care. Research has shown that many people do not care for their contacts as they should. This may lead to infection, irritation, and possibly vision loss. Never use saliva or outdated solution to moisten your contacts, use only approved, sterilized saline solutions. There is bacteria in a person's mouth that can also cause eye infections. Be sure to alternate between wearing your contact lenses and wearing your glasses at least one time weekly.
Dr Prashant Jinda lQualified tips provider. With so much advice here on caring for your eyes, you know that you have a great knowledge of the topic now. While knowing a lot is great, using that knowledge is key. Be sure to start implementing these ideas one by one so that you can keep your eyes healthy and happy.

Eye Care: Nurturing Your Vision for a Lifetime
Tumblr media
Introduction:
Our eyes are priceless assets that enrich our experiences, allowing us to witness the beauty of the world around us. However, amidst the daily hustle and bustle, we often overlook the importance of proper eye care. In this comprehensive guide, we will delve into the intricacies of eye care, exploring why it's crucial and providing practical tips for maintaining healthy vision.
Why Eye Care Matters:
Eye care is not just about ensuring clear vision; it's about preserving the health and vitality of our eyes. Here are some compelling reasons why prioritizing eye care is paramount:
Vision Preservation: Regular eye exams can detect vision changes early, allowing for timely interventions to preserve your sight.
Detection of Eye Diseases: Many eye diseases, such as glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy, develop gradually and often without noticeable symptoms. Routine eye exams can detect these conditions in their early stages, preventing vision loss.
Digital Eye Strain: In today's digital age, prolonged screen time can lead to digital eye strain, causing symptoms like dry eyes, blurred vision, and headaches. Proper eye care practices can alleviate these discomforts.
Overall Health: The eyes can provide valuable insights into your overall health. Conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure, and autoimmune disorders can manifest in eye symptoms, making regular eye exams crucial for early detection.
Practical Eye Care Tips:
Regular Eye Exams: Schedule comprehensive eye exams with an optometrist or ophthalmologist at least once a year, or more frequently if you have existing eye conditions or risk factors.
Healthy Diet: Incorporate eye-friendly nutrients into your diet, such as leafy greens, fatty fish rich in omega-3s, colorful fruits and vegetables, and foods high in vitamins A, C, and E.
Protective Eyewear: Wear sunglasses with UV protection when outdoors to shield your eyes from harmful ultraviolet rays. Additionally, use safety goggles or glasses during activities that pose a risk of eye injury, such as sports or DIY projects.
Good Screen Habits: Follow the 20-20-20 rule to reduce digital eye strain: every 20 minutes, take a 20-second break and look at something 20 feet away. Adjust your screen brightness and position to minimize glare and eye strain.
Proper Lighting: Ensure adequate lighting when reading or working to reduce eye strain and fatigue. Position your light source behind you and avoid glare on your screen or page.
Quit Smoking: Smoking is linked to an increased risk of cataracts, macular degeneration, and other eye diseases. Quitting smoking can significantly benefit your eye health.
Eye Care Across Age Groups:
Children and Teens: Monitor children's vision regularly, as undetected vision problems can affect learning and development. Encourage outdoor activities to reduce the risk of myopia.
Adults: Maintain regular eye exams, especially if you have diabetes, hypertension, or a family history of eye diseases. Manage chronic conditions to prevent complications that can affect your eyesight.
Seniors: As we age, the risk of age-related eye conditions such as cataracts, macular degeneration, and glaucoma increases. Comprehensive eye exams become even more critical to detect and manage these conditions.
Conclusion:
Prioritizing eye care is a lifelong commitment to nurturing one of our most precious senses. By incorporating healthy habits, seeking regular eye care, and protecting our eyes from potential hazards, we can safeguard our vision and enjoy a lifetime of clear sight and visual joy. Remember, healthy eyes lead to a brighter world!
